The hysteria of 'violent' right wing ~ By Benjamin Shapiro

Benjamin Shapiro annihilates Frank Rich's attempt to compare those against Obamacare with Kristallnacht of the Hitler regime.
The hysteria over the "violent" right wing is just that – hysteria. The true danger here comes not from the grass-roots right, but from the Astroturfed left, which is being orchestrated and trained by the Obama administration and its media minions to attack Americans who still believe in America's founding principles.

One week after the passage of President Obama's quasi-socialized health-care scheme, 54 percent of likely voters support repeal. And according to Frank Rich, each and every one of those voters is a budding Nazi.

"How curious that a mob fond of likening President Obama to Hitler knows so little about history that it doesn't recognize its own small-scale mimicry of Kristallnacht," Rich writes. "The weapon of choice for vigilante violence at congressional offices has been a brick hurled through a window. So far."

It is Rich, naturally, who knows nothing about history; his ardent support of President Obama blinds him to the slander he has perpetrated on both Americans and Holocaust victims. Kristallnacht was a government-sponsored program of terror and murder in which 91 Jews were murdered, tens of thousands of Jews were thrown into concentration camps, 267 synagogues were razed to the ground, and Jewish businesses through German territories were destroyed and looted. It is despicable to compare one brick through a glass window with an organized campaign of slaughter and violence.

More than that, Kristallnacht was a case of the government persecuting its own citizens. It was not a spontaneous uprising of violent thugs, nor was it a Los Angeles riots-style melee. Kristallnacht was programmed from beginning to end by the Nazi regime. The basic truth is that socialized medicine – an attack on the private sector and on private individuals in the name of the collective – reflects Kristallnacht on a philosophical level far better than a nut hurling one brick through one window at Louise Slaughter's office.

Rich is simply parroting the Obama administration's latest meme: Tea partiers and anyone else who opposes the Obama program is racist, homophobic, un-American scum of the earth, violent in temperament and simple in mind. Rich, with all the subtlety of a nightstick upside the head, expresses the meme this way: "The conjunction of a black president and a female speaker of the House – topped off by a wise Latina on the Supreme Court and a powerful gay congressional committee chairman – would sow fears of disenfranchisement among a dwindling and threatened minority in the country no matter what policies were in play." In other words, if the president were white, the speaker of the House male, Sonia Sotomayor a white male and Barney Frank a strapping heterosexual, the Obamacare plan would have gone through like clockwork.

We 'the stupid' intend to fight this ~ By Herman Cain

While the government mouthpieces have been spending time talking about our anger, and being "dangerous" because the tea party patriots are getting "violent," at least they know angry. But, they don't care! Herman spells out all the (nonviolent!) events going on.
Hundreds of rallies and tea-party events are being planned across the country between now and November, and if members of Congress have the courage to hold town-hall meetings during their Easter recess, they will be packed to capacity as they were during their August recess of 2009.

These examples may not seem like a tsunami of anger and outrage, but audience reactions and callers to my nightly radio show suggest that it is real and that people are ready to fight to take back their government.

We the stupid are fighting mad, and we are going to fight!

Now that the shock of passing the Health Care Deform bill against the will of the American people has settled in a bit, the people's sentiment has gone from mad to fighting mad. President Obama and the Democrats are probably not aware of that fact, because they simply don't care!

As former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said in a statement released Friday, President Obama and the Democrats are looking back and saying, "We don't care how mad you are, we got what we wanted."

They wanted Obama-Reid-Pelosi care, and they got it using consistent talking points that did not always match with reality, gimmicky accounting, factual distortions and bribes to congressional Democrats to secure their votes. They wanted the American people to know that their political agenda will not be stopped by Republicans, public opinion, e-mails and phone calls, rallies or even a huge potential voter backlash in November 2010.

They wanted the American people to know that despite what they say and promise about transparency and reaching across the political aisles, they believe they know best what is good for us and the future of our country. It is arrogance and political elitism on steroids.

The president and his administration, along with congressional Democrats, believe the anger and opposition will subside by Election Day in November. They also believe it is just about health care and that the stupid public just does not understand their intentions. That's their problem. We the stupid do understand their intentions, and we are not going to be a sit-down-and-shut-up citizenry.

We the stupid are angry about passage of Health Care Deform, proposed cap-and-trade-and-tax-and-kill legislation, the pending Employee No Choice Act, tsunami spending and an abundance of sneak-a-taxes they hope we will not notice.

Their intentions are to turn this country into the United States of Europe, but the American people are saying not so fast! They are raising their voices and turning up the heat.

No more Uncle Sam ~ By Barbara Simpson

Barbara Simpson cuts right to the chase, no beating around the bush. She tells us about the freedoms we will lose with ObamaCare (both for our own health care AND education), and that Obama is just getting started, because he now knows that he can push through anything he wants to do. Congress, and maybe even that other branch of government, the courts, won't stop him.
Interesting, isn't it, that the very liberals who scream and demonstrate for the "right to choose" have foisted on the entire country a law that takes away our right to choose when it comes to our basic medical care – our ultimate choice of lifestyle, residence, food choices, style of living, the doctor or dentist we prefer, the care we need and want, the kind of treatment, and ultimately the way we will spend our latter years and how we will live out our lives and die.

Those choices are gone under the Obama medical plan.

And they've only just gotten started.

I keep thinking – or perhaps I should say, hoping – that it's all a bad dream and soon I'll wake up and things will be back to the usual "normal."

Then again, reality sets in and I realize two things.

First, what's happening in and to my country isn't a bad dream and I'm not sleeping.

Second, I doubt the usual "normal" will be back any time soon. There are those who are more morose/pessimistic about it and say the American experiment is over.

I'm not sure I would go that far – yet – but we're on thin ice.

I do believe that to get this country back on course and in line with the Constitution, it will take time and a massive, focused effort to get our freedoms back.

Pretend it's a battle for freedom.

No, don't pretend, because that is exactly what it is.

With the election of Barack Obama and his gang of political henchmen in the White House, aided and abetted by the likes of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and their acolytes in Congress, it is difficult, if not impossible at this point, for anyone who disagrees with their socialist/Marxist philosophy to even have their voices heard.

They are convinced they know what's best for everyone and they have the mandate to get it done, regardless of any opposition.

The spectacle on C-Span of the laughably labeled "debate" on health care could have been mistaken for a Monte Python skit except for two things.

It wasn't funny, and those people were playing for keeps.

It was deadly serious and a perfect example of what one-party, despotic rule is like. And that's just the beginning.

Obama relishes his growing power and believes it's his mission to keep barreling ahead with all those "changes" he alluded to during the presidential campaign.

He never really got specific. Obama used the "hope and change" mantra to delude the American people into thinking that only good things would come from his election to power. The main change Democrats wanted was for Bush and his administration to be gone. They believed that anything after that would be good and OK.

The blame for all complaints about the country and the state of politics was placed squarely on the shoulders of George W. Bush. Campaign rhetoric emphasized that if George were out of the political picture, all good would flow to everyone. Obama supporters read into the words whatever they wanted, leaving Obama with a wide open door to do whatever he wants. He is doing just that.

His policies are extreme left and rooted in his Marxist beliefs. The change he is instigating will literally change the face of this country. The massive takeover of the private sector in so many areas of commerce and life is just beginning.

Why your worldview matters ~ By Greg Laurie

Greg does a great job explaining how our worldview determines how we live our lives. When there are no moral absolutes, then that is a worldview where moral relativism gives people a freedom from all restraint. And we see where that has taken this once God-loving country.
As a nation, we no longer accept the truths our Founding Fathers did. Instead, what we have today is moral relativism, the belief that says there are no moral absolutes, and there is no right or wrong, no good or evil. Moral relativism teaches that we are all products of the evolutionary process, there is no God and no plan or purpose for our lives, and we all have our own truth. It teaches that we are all basically good inside, and if we do go bad, it is because we are products of our environment. It is the complete freedom from all restraint.

The funny thing about people who accept moral relativism is they are very tolerant of everyone except people who have absolute beliefs. If you dare to disagree with moral relativism and instead believe in right and wrong, then you are labeled as insensitive, intolerant, bigoted and narrow-minded. And if you dare to believe in the Bible as absolute truth, then you are imposing your puritanical, repressive value system on others.

It is a different world today than when I became a pastor 35 years ago. I cannot think of a time in which there has been more biblical illiteracy than there is now. I am not just talking about an ignorance of the Bible in general in our culture today; there is an ignorance of Scripture in the church.

For years now, there has been a trend to move away from biblical exposition in churches. And now we are seeing the result of this in unprecedented biblical illiteracy. Author and researcher George Barna has said, "The Christian body in America is immersed in a crisis of biblical illiteracy." A study Barna conducted revealed that less than one out of every 10 believers possess a biblical worldview as the basis for their decision-making. Barna also found that the most widely known "verse" among adults and teen believers is "God helps those that help themselves" – yet it is not found in the Bible.

We all have a worldview, formed by our culture, upbringing and education, as well as the books we read and the media we take in. And a worldview is comprehensive, affecting every area of life, from morality to money, from politics to art.

So the question is not whether you have a worldview. It is, what kind of worldview do you have?

Francis Schaeffer, in "How Should We Then Live?" wrote, "As Christians, we are not to know the right worldview, the worldview that tells us the truth of what is, but consciously to act upon that worldview so as to influence society in all its parts and facets across the whole spectrum of life, as much as we can to the extent of our individual and collective ability."

Specifically, what is the worldview a Christian should have? Simply put, there is a living God, and He has revealed himself in Scripture. Therefore, we as Christians believe in absolute truth, which comes from God. And that truth is found in the Bible. It is not about what we feel or what is popular or cool. It is about what is true.

This worldview will affect the way we see the world and life in general. As C. S. Lewis said, "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen. Not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."

Americans have never been more spiritual, yet more immoral. A 2009 poll found that people in the U.S. are more interested in faith and spirituality than they are in Christianity. One expert said, "Americans increasingly want to shape their own faith experience" – what he calls "concoct[ing] a uniquely personal brand of faith."

And why not? In the age of the iPod, the iPhone, the iMac and now the iPad, Americans want an iFaith and an iGod. With these, they can control the home screen. They can write their own programs or apps, customizing them to their own liking. They can keep the parts they like, such as love, forgiveness and heaven, while hitting delete on what they don't like, such as hell, judgment and righteousness.

The Beatles' tax-man prophecy ~ By Joseph Farah

Joseph asks, "how long will it be before government figures out a way to tax our feet?" I think we actually now know the answer to that one. Think ObamaCare.
Who would have imagined in 1966 we'd actually be taxing the heat?

Who could have imagined it?

How long will it be before government figures out a way to tax our feet?
By Joseph Farah

In 1966, George Harrison of the Beatles wrote a song that seemed, well, a little absurd to most of us.

It was called "Tax Man."

The Beatles had recently been propelled into the nouveau riche stratosphere by their global success – still unprecedented to this day in pop music.

But they were evidently surprised at how much of their wealth was seized by government.

So they wrote an angry protest song unlike most of the protest songs of that era.

It wasn't about war.

It wasn't about civil rights.

It wasn't about nuclear proliferation.

Instead, it was about the mean old government confiscating people's wealth.
Let me tell you how it will be;
There's one for you, nineteen for me.
'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman.

Should 5 per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don't take it all.
'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman.
Today, more of us can relate – maybe, in fact, about 50 percent of Americans, those who pay taxes so that the other 50 percent don't have to pay them.

However, that's not the point of my story.

I recently heard this song, again, in a whole new light.

I heard something I never noticed before after listening to this song a thousand times.
If you drive a car, car, I'll tax the street;
If you try to sit, sit, I'll tax your seat;
If you get too cold, I'll tax the heat;
If you take a walk, I'll tax your feet.
Obviously, the Beatles were using hyperbole to make a point – illustrating absurdity by being absurd, as Rush Limbaugh would put it.

Tax the street?

Well not so absurd, after all. In fact, government has always used tolls to tax streets. Today governments are literally selling off public roadways built with taxpayer dollars to private companies to maintain them with expanded use of tolls.

Tax your seat?

The county where I live has a property tax on office equipment used in the home. So, literally, government officials want to tax the seat I use to conduct business.

But check out the next line.

Who could have imagined in 1966 that government would actually figure out ways to "tax the heat"? How preposterous must that have sounded 44 years ago? Pretty preposterous, as I recall. In fact, that's why I never before connected this lyric with what we're actually experiencing today.

Isn't that what the phony carbon tax schemes are all about?

My point?

Forty-four years ago, who could have imagined that George Harrison's "Tax Man" nightmare would literally become a reality?

I blame Bush for Stalincare ~ By Ellis Washington

At the bottom of this column by Ellis, I included the video of the now famous words of Rep. Alcee Hastings (the disgraced former Federal Judge). This is just to emphasize the Machiavellian type of Chicago-style thugocracy that is transforming America before our eyes. This is what we are up against now. Sure, Ellis is right, it would not have happened had we not had the Bush RINOs in the White House prior to the election of our Dear Glorious Leader that we are now enduring. But, as he says below, "we are living in tyrannical times."

It is vitally important, in my own humble opinion, that Conservatives spend our time uniting patriotic Americans, and just forget about the blame-game. Let's think about the future, and not the past. Please?

Indeed, we are living in tyrannical times, and that's why I blame Bush 43 for faking like he was a Ronald Reagan conservative in 2001, all but ignoring conservatives for his first nine months in office, until 9/11, bankrupting America during his two terms as president, two ill-advised wars, demoralizing the voters with a $7 trillion prescription-drug bill, a Kennedy education bill ("No Child Left Behind"), TARP and bailing out corrupt Wall Street investment banks.

These socialist policies allowed the Marxist Barack Obama to ascend to power; a man who utterly hates America to the core and is hell-bent on seeing this country pay for all her sins by systematically deconstructing America from a republic and transforming her into a servile, socialist state.

American medicine is the best because it is private and it must stay that way.

~ Ronald Reagan

The shameless tactics of Chicago thug politics were demonstrated on March 21 where President Obama and the Democrats used every Machiavellian tactic to pass his government-controlled health-care bill by a vote of 219 to 212. The real intent of Democrats was articulated by Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., who was impeached and removed from the bench as a federal judge before being elected to the House. Before the bill was signed, Hastings said, There ain't no rules here, we're trying to accomplish something. ... When the deal goes down, all this talk about rules … we make 'em up as we go along. (See video below)

Rep. Hastings' sentiments are the deserved legacy the GOP has bequeathed to America, a legacy whose latest manifestation is Obama's $940 billion socialist health-care bill. That's why I will not join the chorus of Republicans, conservative commentators and radio talk-show hosts in blaming this all on President Obama and the Democrats. That's too easy and fails to get to the heart of the matter.

How did America devolve into making entitlements a constitutional right protected by the Supreme Court? It didn't suddenly happen on March 23, 2010, when Obama signed the health-care bill into law. Obama was unwittingly closer to the actual date that America began her tragic love affair with socialism when he said at a rally last week at George Mason University: "We have waited long enough, and in just a few days a century-long struggle will culminate in a historic vote."

What he meant by that phrase ("century-long struggle") is that socialist health care for all was envisioned as early as Theodore Roosevelt (1901-09), a Republican who left the GOP in 1912 and ran under the Bull Moose-Progressive Party, where he got 27 percent of the vote and opened the door for America's first fascist president, Woodrow Wilson (1913-21) to get elected.

Marxist is as Marxist does ~ By Henry Lamb

As Victoria Jackson said, "Obama is a Communist." There shouldn't be any doubt about this FACT, and Henry clearly explains how that should be the obvious explanation for Obama's progressive agenda.
Passage of Obamacare is the most dramatic step forward for the Marxist agenda in more than a generation. It must be undone. The U.S. Constitution does not authorize the federal government to force people to purchase insurance – unless the people allow it. The people must not allow it. This Marxist agenda must be stopped, and the only way to stop it is to remove the Marxist advocates from Congress and the White House.

By Henry Lamb

People who believe that health care is a right instead of a privilege embrace a fundamental principle of Marxism. This philosophy is built on the idea that workers are the source of productivity and must not be exploited by kings or capitalists; that workers must control their own destiny. This is the foundation of socialism. The Democrat Socialists of America admit that:
We are not a separate party. Like our friends and allies in the feminist, labor, civil rights, religious and community-organizing movements, many of us have been active in the Democratic Party. We work with those movements to strengthen the party's left wing, represented by the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
This belief system, articulated eloquently by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in their Communist Manifesto, envisions the perfect society to be one in which everyone shares equally in work and wealth, coordinated by a hierarchy of representatives chosen from the workers. The Democratic Party considers its leaders to be that hierarchy, empowered to do whatever it takes to redistribute society's wealth more equitably.

Despite the ridicule and denials that spew forth from the Democrats, the enactment of Obamacare is a victory for Marxism in the United States, recognized and publicly acknowledged by Al Sharpton. What Democrats have done is absolutely consistent with Marxism; the way it was done provides a course in this Marxist principle: The end justifies the means.

Marxists, Socialists, Communists and Democrats have been trying for most of the century to advance a Marxist agenda. Woodrow Wilson implemented two major Marxist principles: the central bank and the income tax.

Hal Lindsey: U.S. Seeks Regime Change

You will appreciate what Hal says in this video about the fact that Benjamin Netanyahu is battle-hardened, and the Obama Administration will not be able to get rid of him in their desire for an Israeli regime change.

If you are paying attention, you've probably heard about the flack regarding the building of more housing units - in a Jewish neighborhood in East Jerusalem, one that wasn't even controversial as far as previously established agreements go. Now, the delivery bunker-buster bombs (so that Israel can take out Iranian nuclear targets) is being delayed.

We can all be pretty sure that Jeremiah Wright is proud of the President.

The Sestak Controversy has the Potential to be Obama’s Watergate

Here is a very interesting story that I had not heard about tonight. The state-controlled lamestream media has obviously kept the story buried far below the radar.

(My thanks to AlinskyDefeater on Twitter for letting us know about this potential disaster for the Obama Administration!)

As we all learned during Watergate it is often the cover up and not the actual act that brings down those in the highest offices. The longer the White House stonewalls on the Sestak issue the more likely that, if a scandal is uncovered, it will reach higher and higher in the Obama White House.
By Jeff Hedgpeth

March 24, 2010

Will we all look back someday and wonder why the nation was so transfixed on Health Care Reform while a scandal was brewing capable of bringing down an Administration? Because the White House continues to avoid questions, there is no way to know at this time.

As I noted in an earlier post, the claims of Representative Joe Sestak against the White House could result in a criminal investigation. Now, Congressman Darrell Issa is suggesting that if the White House continues to stonewall on the matter that, "If the public doesn’t receive a satisfactory answer, the next step would be to call for a special prosecutor, which is well within the statute."

This story has the potential to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest story of the Obama Administration, and yet somehow it is flying under the radar at present.

Sarah Palin’s Loyalty is a Feature, Not a Bug ~ By Jenn Q. Public

I had been wondering about Sarah's support for John McCain, especially in reference to supporting the RINO rather than the Conservative J. D. Hayworth. However, after reading this short column, I can now understand the pickle that Sarah Palin was in.
That lesson about loyalty stuck with Palin. Choosing to support John McCain in the face of significant conservative opposition might not win Sarah Palin accolades for Beltway political savvy, but it says quite a bit about her character.
By Jenn Q. Public

March 27, 2010

When it comes to John McCain, Sarah Palin just can’t win.

Campaigning for the man who catapulted her onto the national stage has prompted some McCain detractors to demote her from conservative rock star to unprincipled RINO sell-out. But were she to snub her former running mate, she’d be branded a disloyal backstabbing ingrate.

There’s no question McCain’s campaign staff repeatedly smeared Palin to distract from their own ineptitude. And once or twice, McCain experienced Bidenesque foot-in-mouth disease when discussing Palin with interviewers. But author Shushanna Walshe notes there are “no hard feelings between the former GOP presidential and vice-presidential nominees, even after all the public warring continues between some of McCain’s closest advisers and Palin.”

Resisting ObamaCare, Gandhi Style ~ By Shikha Dalmia

Shikha Dalmia is a senior analyst at Reason Foundation and a biweekly Forbes columnist. As the leftists are getting to the point of hysteria in accusing the TEA Party and Conservative movements of being a violent mob, we must pay close attention to what Shikha is saying in this great column.
Any strategy of nonviolent civil resistance has to first make a good faith effort to achieve its end through the available political and legal means. But there comes a time when changing the law requires acts of conscience.
By Shikha Dalmia

03.24.10, 12:01 AM EDT

Americans will lose control over basic decisions if this law stands.

President Barack Obama came into office promising hope and change. But he might get more change than he hoped for. By foisting ObamaCare on a deeply unwilling country he might have set the stage for the largest civil disobedience movement since the civil rights era, which, if it plays its cards right, could undo his legislation and his legacy.

President Obama is betting that come November the bruising, yearlong battle that he has just dragged the country through will be a distant memory. But that profoundly underestimates the dismay of a large segment of the public that sees what he signed Tuesday as a fraudulent piece of legislation based on fraudulent thinking backed by fraudulent facts enacted through a fraudulent process. (Yes, Americans do care about "process," Mr. President. It's another name for representative government.)

President Obama tried for a year to convince the country that the cure for rising health care costs and the swelling ranks of the uninsured was a de facto government takeover of the health care system--only to be rebuffed in poll after poll. And if there was any doubt as to where the public stood, it was put to rest by Republican Scott Brown's stunning December victory in Massachusetts, the land of Big Government.

But instead of backing down President Obama went for broke using tactics more reprehensible than the "business as usual politics" that he had pledged to change when he came to office.

First, there were the budgetary magic tricks that he and his Congressional enablers got the highly respected Congressional Budget Office to perform. The last CBO assessment--that pushed the bill through--showed that the Obama plan would reduce the federal deficit by $138 billion over 10 years. The reality, once all the double counting and fantasy savings are eliminated, is that it will add $562 billion.

But the CBO is not the only entity whose honor Democrats have violated--perhaps beyond repair. Federal taxpayers will also get royally screwed when they have to pay for all the sweetheart deals that Obama's Cogressional minions cut behind closed doors and whose true scope will only become apparent in the coming months. (Bart Stupak is rumored to have gotten $700,000 for airport repairs as his sell-out price.)

Worst of all were the shameless parliamentary tactics that Democrats deployed. The Founders deliberately constructed many roadblocks for new laws to prevent elected officials from straying too far from the will of the people. But Democrats could care less about parliamentary niceties.

They are poised to use the so-called nuclear option or "reconciliation" to square the House and the Senate bills. This option will allow the Senate to circumvent the normal committee process to make fixes to the House bill through a simple majority without risking a filibuster. But reconciliation is meant exclusively for budgetary matters--not ramrodding sweeping social legislation on a party-line vote. This is why the Senate parliamentarian--a completely nonpartisan figure--has to approve its use for every fix. But Democrats are poised to have Vice President Joe Biden overrule him should he dare to stand in their way. In short, instead of bending the cost curve, President Obama is bending the rules of accountable government.

It is hardly surprising then that Americans are feeling a growing panic as they watch their constitutional republic descend into a banana republic. President Obama is fond of quoting Mahatma Gandhi's line that "we should be the change we want to see." But Gandhi also said that "civil disobedience becomes a sacred duty when the state has become lawless and corrupt." Americans instinctively understand this which is why pockets of resistance to ObamaCare are already emerging. The question is only whether they can be constructively harnessed into a grassroots, Gandhi-style civil disobedience movement powerful enough to undo this monstrosity.

I'm so sick of being right ~ By Patrice Lewis

I just don't know how Patrice is so consistently right, but I am glad she is. It only means that I am right, too, as I always agree with her! But, like Patrice, I'm also getting so sick of being right.
But despite the awakening of the sleeping giant, many worry that through a series of nefarious tricks, Obama will steal the 2012 election and remain in power.

Do I think this is possible? Well, it would require a complete disregard and disdain for the will of the people, the Constitution and the ideal of limited government that made America the greatest nation in the history of humanity.

Do I think it's possible? I'm so sick of being right. Let's pray I'm wrong about this one.

There's a scene in the movie "Galaxy Quest" in which actors on a distant planet are spying on cute alien creatures that resemble children. The cynical Guy says, "Sure, they're cute now. But in a second they're gonna get mean. And they're gonna get ugly somehow. Then there's gonna be a million more of them." The other actors think he's crazy, but sure enough the cute aliens suddenly get mean, ugly and numerous. As the actors flee from the pursuing creatures, Guy gasps, "I'm so sick of being right!"

Despite the dire predictions over the last few months, politicians inexplicably refused to heed the majority of voters and passed this farce called health-care reform. For the moment we're stuck with it. Like Guy, I'm so sick of being right when my predictions keep coming true.

Unsurprisingly, a recent survey showed the favorable ratings of Pelosi and Reid have never been lower – 11 and 8 percent respectively. But this survey was most worrisome for a different reason – 36 percent (Pelosi) and 50 percent (Reid) of those responding "haven't heard enough" to make an informed opinion about two of the most influential politicians behind the passage of Obamacare.

Translated, this means a vast number of people are so self-anesthetized sitting on their butts watching "American Idol" or "Survivor" that they are unaware and totally ignorant of the world around them.

This ignorance includes the implications of what will happen now that the current administration – starring the apparently little-known but dynamic duo of Pelosi and Reid – voted in socialism on March 21 to the applause of Fidel Castro.

But unfortunately, these people who "haven't heard enough" also vote, and I'm going to hazard that most of them voted for Obama. Probably they were swayed by our president's handsome exterior and glib promises. They don't care that what he promised can't possibly happen without causing the economic and political destruction of our country.

Decades of entitlement mentality and liberal indoctrination in public schools have produced millions of Americans who believe everything from food to housing to education to employment are "rights" and should be provided for "free." Having never studied economics, they haven't learned that nothing is free. Someone must bear the costs.

And now these supporters are slobbering and drooling at the passing of Obamacare because hey, they'll get something for free, right? They don't realize that medical services will decrease. Or that taxes will skyrocket. Or that our country will go bankrupt. Or – get ready for it – that it's flagrantly unconstitutional. No, all they can see is that they'll be getting something for (cough) nothing.

Welcome to the Madoff economy ~ By Pat Boone

Pat talks about the similarity between the budget deficits and Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme.
You can't change gravity. And you cannot go on spending trillions of dollars you don't have, and just expect "everything to turn out all right." You can't solve human problems with worthless pieces of printed money, backed by nothing but wishes and impossible promises.

Thomas Jefferson warned, "Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to the wretchedness which inevitably awaits them, if we basely entail hereditary bondage upon them."

Citizens, this battle has been forced upon us. Let's get it on.

A little rebellion now and again is a good thing.

– Thomas Jefferson

Less than three weeks ago, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi cooed, "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it."

Yes, she said that! Right out loud, on national TV. She indicated that she herself didn't know all that the 2,700-page health-care bill contained or mandated – but that she was determined to cram this atrocity down the throats of Americans, before they (or she) learned what it would contain or cost them.

There's a kind of wild ferocity in her manner. Oh, it's softly modulated, but absolutely determined, and nothing was going to deter her quest to deliver this prize for President Obama. Sounding for all the world like an earnest Avon lady selling you her products, she told every audience and the members of the House that this bill was not only patriotic, historic and needed – but would decrease the deficit! And you could have sworn she actually believed it.

She wanted all of us to believe that, having added almost $3 trillion to our national debt, with no one to pay it but us beaten down taxpayers, somehow this monstrosity was going to magically reduce itself! That the American public should rejoice with her that virtually all 300 million of us were going to have fabulous health care, courtesy of the government, including 14 or 15 million illegal aliens and several million others who actually don't want it. And that her Congress could take $500 billion out of Medicare while it tried to serve the 30 million more baby boomers who are entitled to it … and that over 10 years this scheme would result in over a trillion dollars in savings.

I'd like to ask the speaker how she would feel about the following scenario. I don't know her net worth, but am reliably informed that she and her husband might be worth 30 or 40 million dollars, conservatively. So, one morning she learns that a Republican Congress has enacted a giant bill that compels her to accept a $200 million personal indebtedness, and she can't do anything about it. But the good news: This debt will enable the government to extend all kinds of goodies to aliens and homeless and some welfare recipients who haven't even tried to work in years – won't she be deliriously happy about this?

The money is going to such a good and noble cause, and the Congress promises that in 10 years or less, her debt will somehow decrease to only $150 million. And everybody knows how efficient and dependable the government is with the programs it manages. Do you think Lady Speaker would keep her motherly composure and earnest compassion, finding out that her long-cherished $40 million fortune was absorbed into a $200 million debt?

Well, that's what has happened to every American citizen as this gigantic, preposterous bill has been railroaded through a Democratic Congress and signed into law by an inexperienced president determined to "save his presidency," no matter what.

Americans condemn Obama's rudeness, reach out to Israel

It is hard to believe that Obama could be so rude to Netanyahu! Oh, wait...
In a speech before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference on Monday, however, Netanyahu rebuffed the president's push.

"Jerusalem is not a settlement. It's our capital," Netanyahu said.

The next day, Netanyahu and a delegation of Israelis met with Obama at the White House, only to watch the president walk out of the meeting.

Netanyahu and his delegation, the Times of London reports, grew so suspicious of Obama's intentions after the meeting "soured," that rather than remain and reconsider, as the president suggested, they retreated to the Israeli Embassy "to ensure that the Americans were not listening in" on their discussions.
Thousands of flowers send message: 'Be encouraged, we stand with you'

Shocked by what some news reports are calling President Obama's "ambush" and "humiliation" of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, D.C., a group of Americans are doing an end around the increasingly hostile White House and reaching out to directly to the Israeli leader.

Earlier this week, Obama walked out of a meeting with Netanyahu at the White House, inviting the Israeli leader to remain alone and reconsider his negotiation stance … or get out.

"I'm still around," the daily newspaper Yediot Aharonot quoted Obama as saying, before walking out on the stunned Netanyahu. "Let me know if there is anything new."

WND columnist Janet Porter of Faith2Action was among those aghast at the president's actions.

"While President Obama hugs dictators and smiles for photo-ops with enemies of freedom around the world, I was appalled at how he treated Prime Minister Netanyahu – our best friend in the Middle East," said Porter in a statement.

Consequently, Porter's organization has acted to assure the Israeli government that any perceived animosity from the Obama White House does not represent the feelings of all Americans.

Through a cooperative effort with a florist in Jerusalem, Faith2Action has launched the Israel Friendship Project, which invites Americans to send dozens of yellow roses – a symbol of friendship – directly to Netanyahu as a measure of support and encouragement.

Included in each dozen roses – which are priced at the symbolic cost of $19.48, after the year 1948, in which Israel was reestablished as a nation – is a card that reads, "Dear Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: Be encouraged, Americans stand with you. God bless you."

The card concludes with the biblical verse, "The Lord builds up Jerusalem," from Psalm 147:2.

How I filled out my Census form ~ By Joseph Farah

Joseph asks why the 2010 Census needs to know your race. And that, I agree, is a very good question. I can't see any benefit or need to know.
Let's not fall into the traps of the past by thinking we're somehow immune to the injustices of the past.

Indeed we are all of one race in God's eyes – the human race.

Fortunately for me – and maybe for the government – I got the short-form Census questionnaire.

Judging from the questions, it seems the government is primarily obsessed with tracking racial information about the U.S. population.

Besides the names, ages and sex of each person living in households, the rest of the questions have to do with race.
  • There's a special section dealing with those of Hispanic, Latino or Spanish origin. Why, I don't know.
  • Next, participants are asked to classify themselves as white, black, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Asian Indian, Chinese, Filipino, Other Asian, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Native Hawaiian, Gaumanian or Chamorro, Samoan or other Pacific Islander.
  • Lastly, there's a checkbox for some other race.
I checked that last box and wrote in HUMAN.

Why?

Because I believe, Like Martin Luther King Jr. did, that America ought to be a color-blind society in which men and women are judged by their character rather than their skin pigment.

Because I believe that people shouldn't treat each other differently based on the color of their skin, especially the government.

Because I believe it is of no consequence whether someone is black, white, brown, red or Guamanian and that it is, quite frankly, none of the government's business asking questions like that anymore than it would be for an employer in the private sector.

Ask yourself: Why these questions?

What does it have to do with congressional apportionment?

That's the purpose of the Census, after all.

That's why it is authorized in the Constitution.

Why all these other questions – even on the short form? Why is this essential information for the government to have? What is the purpose? Can someone explain this? Can anyone come up with one valid reason for this obsession over racial and national identity?

This is America.

This is the great melting pot.

This is the land of assimilation.

Why the official race-consciousness?

Is this as distasteful to others as it is to me?
