Time 2 Escape Daily for Saturday, Dec 31, 2011

In this exciting and excellent issue of Time 2 Escape Daily, you will read (assuming you actually click on the links and read the stories and commentaries!) some great stuff, including the profound words of Henry Lamb:
Freedom cannot exist in Obama's vision of a managed market and a managed society. Every citizen must decide whether this nation will yield to Obama's vision, or return to the framer's vision of a government that exists for the purpose of protecting every citizen's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – as defined by every individual – not by the national government.
Hey, that's just a taste of what you will get to read today, or whenever you are up to it. I know, tonight is the last day of the year, typically called New Years Eve. So, when you're able to read text on your monitor without your headache becoming even more severe, you'll want to check this out.

I hope that your expectations weren't overly magnified by using the word "Daily" in the title of these latest posts. The truth is, in the case of this blog, "Daily" is not equivalent to "every day." I'm going to do my best to keep this blog active by posting as often as possible, but I guarantee that I'll be taking Sundays off, and maybe another day during the week. And then there will be those occasions when I'm not able to do any posting for an extended time for various reasons. I do not have a staff to fill in for me when I am "absent." But trust me, when I know that I'll not be able to do any posting, I'll announce it.

But I digress. I think that you will find what Patrice Lewis writes in her latest and last column of the year to be a bit of good advice for all of us to think about on this New Year's Eve:

As we head into the New Year, perhaps it's time to stop making unfulfillable resolutions and decide instead to take a simple course of action: Fill the year with good, sound choices and decisions.

Let's make our elders proud of us. Let's make ourselves proud as well. Happy New Year.

According to a statement released by CAIR on PR Newswire, its complaints led WordPress.com to close down the BareNakedIslam.com blog.

In fact, site visitors today were presented with the message, "barenakedilsam.wordpress.com is no longer available. This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service."

This week I saw an article entitled "Six Tips From Your Future Self" by Dr. Karl Pillemer. The premise was that if you could meet your older and (presumably) wiser self (say, 50 years from now) and ask for advice, what would it be? Since clearly such a scenario is impossible, Dr. Pillemer did the next best thing: He canvassed 1,200 older Americans (ranging from 60 to 108 years) and asked what advice they would give the younger generation. Specifically they were asked, "What mistakes should younger people avoid?" and what are people "most likely to regret when they get to the end of life?"

What I liked about this article was its logic and good sense. For heaven's sake, if anyone has been-there-done-that, it's the older generation. Yet in keeping with human nature, the younger people in our society continue to dismiss the older generation as a bunch of fuddy-duddies who can't possibly have any knowledge or insight about today's issues, problems and woes.

Right.

Time 2 Escape Daily for Friday, Dec 30, 2011

As you will soon learn, if you haven't figured it out yet, that my choice of news stories, opinion columns and blogs can not possibly be objective because of my obvious Conservative Christian viewpoint... er, bias... (You will understand that statement better once you read David Limbaugh's column below.)

And now that you know that I have that Conservative Christian bias in my choices of resources to allow you to see, I am sure that you will either decide to make sure you return here every possible chance you have, or you will never visit this blog again. Which ever choice you make is fine with me. You will either appreciate the opportunity to learn more or you would rather just ignore all that is going on. For you, it may be valuable information to assist you to enhance your worldview, or it may be that you just think it's all hype and fear mongering on steroids.

But just so that you know, which ever way you feel about Time 2 Escape, it may be a short amount of time before somebody begins deciding what is okay for you to know. Whether you like this blog or not, isn't it time to make sure that while you can, gather all the information you now have available, and develop your own world view (whether right or wrong)?

And we all know the outcome, so I'm not giving anything away here. Long before the death of Solomon, the children of Israel began to turn away from the commandments and serve and worship other gods. Even Solomon himself turns to this kind of spiritual adultery – leading to the divided kingdom in one generation.

It's just wrong to assume that a nonbelieving worldview is more objective than a believing one. We are all blessed (or burdened) with our presuppositions, and they accompany us wherever we go.

It occurred to me that the woman's argument is analogous to the political liberals' legendary denial of bias. Indeed, many liberals don't even view themselves as liberals. Rather, they are reality- and fact-based creatures. Only conservatives allow their biases to taint their objectivity. Liberals will admit that some conservatives are rational, but to be both rational and conservative, they must be evil. They know the policies they support are wrong, objectively, but they choose to do so anyway – or something like that.

Showdown: U.S. Fleet Warns Iran That Closing Straits of Hormuz ‘Will Not Be Tolerated’

(TheBlaze/AP) — Iran’s navy chief warned Wednesday that his country can easily close the strategic Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, the passageway through which a sixth of the world’s oil flows.

It was the second such warning in two days. On Tuesday, Vice President Mohamed Reza Rahimi threatened to close the strait, cutting off oil exports, if the West imposes sanctions on Iran’s oil shipments.

In response, the Bahrain-based U.S. 5th Fleet’s spokeswoman warned that any disruption “will not be tolerated.” The spokeswoman, Lt. Rebecca Rebarich, said the U.S. Navy is “always ready to counter malevolent actions to ensure freedom of navigation.”

Time 2 Escape Daily for Wednesday, Dec 28, 2011

A decision was finally made after months of thoughtful consideration. Of the various options available to me, I believe that I will be making the changes needed to accomplish the main goal of providing a resource of value to you, the reader.

You will no longer see the individual columns that I was commenting on. Because my time has been more limited these days, it was getting overwhelming to get very many blogs posted. As you can see, my monthly productivity began to plummet in this month of December 2012. Hopefully, my new plan will be a way to again produce more posts that will help to keep you informed.

You will see three sections in each new post, and each will contain the links to stories and commentaries that I know you will be interested in.

Since today is the first time I've made this effort, it may mean that additional adjustments to this new endeavor will be made down the road. But the biggest adjustment will be to my attitude about "change." Admittedly, there are times when I tend to shun much variation to the way things are done. 


Gone will be my ability to see the reaction to various columns that I have posted about. It was the realization, though, that made me think that wasn't information that affects what you will gain from the new format. The historical information I have at my fingertips, however, will help me to determine which stories and columns to include that will keep you coming back for more.

Change can be good. We'll find out soon if this is the change you really wanted to see. It might just be better than the "change" you've seen in the last three years under Obama.

      'You're-on-your-own economics'? Bring it on! ~ By Robert Ringer

      The truth is that, throughout history, the vile left has never been interested in lifting people up. Instead of focusing on income inequality, their focus should be on setting people free – to be on their own! – to go as far as their talents and hard work will take them.
      Robert Ringer's column titillated my sincere desire to make sure that his writing is read by as many people as possible. This is about We the People knowing that the President is wrong about what needs to be done to help the American people, and Robert reinforces our knowledge of what has been going on in this country since President Obama came on the scene four years ago. We really wish more people had been aware of what then candidate Obama told "Joe the Plumber," that he wants to "spread the wealth around."

      The scariest thing is that not only were people not listening and staying informed, but that they ignored the warning signs of what was to come in Obama's first three years. President Obama and his Marxist minions are of the belief that government can solve all of our problems. Conservatives believe that individual responsibility with laissez faire free market capitalism ultimately does better in the end: Every time. Why would anyone want to change how we do things that has helped America prosper in the past few centuries?

      But as I read through the column several more times, I discovered another two paragraphs that influenced me to say something about what We the People can do to prove the President is wrong, and Robert Ringer is right:

      No civilized person wants to see those who are seriously health challenged or mentally challenged suffer, so the question is not whether or not such people should be helped. The question is, who is best equipped to help them – politicians, whose chief aim is to perpetuate their own power, or free individuals, who have a genuine desire to be charitable to those who are incapable of fending for themselves?

      If the scam of politicians taking from those who produce and giving the stolen loot to those whom they deem to be "in need" worked, the poverty rate would not be about the same today (14.3 percent) as it was when the Great Society was launched back in 1965. What Lyndon Johnson's "generosity" proved is that it doesn't matter how much of other people's money you give away, it does nothing to lift people up. The hard evidence shows that it is government's redistribution-of-wealth policies that have not worked.
      No, we do not really need the government to be our nanny. And being that this is the Christmas season, this is the opportune time to make this proposal; there is never a better time to display the great generosity of the American people. YOU, not the government, can reach out to give less fortunate people assistance in many ways.

      Hopefully, you have heard about the "pay it forward" events where people pay for the meal at a fast food establishment for the person in line behind them. It also recently came to the attention of the media that there have been anonymous donors that help out people that are trying to pay off a layaway purchase at various retail establishments.

      We are aware of all the people with the financial capability that give large sums of money to many of the various charities and "causes." We even help out orphans around the world by funding or adopting them. America is still the most generous nation on the planet.

      But, there is still the possibility that we could actually go a step further.

      It is my belief that if every one of us that has the financial means, the time, and the opportunity to help out one other individual or family that is struggling along, there probably wouldn't be a need for government agencies to step in and spend the taxpayer's money on the many programs that have been instituted in order for us to gain some type of "collective salvation."

      We the People really can prove that Robert Ringer is right, and Obama and his Marxist minions are wrong. We the People can make a concentrated effort to help lift up those that really could benefit from our assistance.

      Between now and next November, and that really isn't too long from now, it is time to re-educate the American population, and counter all the lies that have been fed to the masses by those on the left in the schools, unions, the media, and most of all, the government. If We the People step up, we can make a very positive impact on what - or who - less fortunate people expect to come to their assistance.

      Isn't it time that we start thinking about others? Our friends, our relatives, or our neighbors? Can you do something to help out somebody? I am sure you can. Even moral support can help. Let's take this country back from those that keep their power because they can take from those that have to give to give to people that don't have. WE the PEOPLE can do a much better job! I think that we can show that "You're-on-your-own economics" has worked, and always will.

      It's time to learn and teach that is better to love your neighbor rather than the government. I'm just sayin'...

      Oops! The presidential pretender went and did it again. A lot of red ink has passed over the socialist dam since he unthinkingly told Joe the Plumber that he wants to "spread the wealth around."

      Or since he told Charlie Gibson that "It's a matter of fairness" when Gibson repeatedly asked him to explain why he would want to raise the capital-gains tax when the historical evidence proves that higher capital-gains taxes actually decrease government revenues.

      Of course, there have been endless not-so-subtle clues as to Obama's impeccable collectivist credentials since then, but, on the whole, he tends to choose his words carefully so as not to awaken the sleeping frogs. One must always be mindful not to let the water get too hot.

      But last week Obama let it all hang out in a speech at a Kansas high school when he said, "[T]here is a certain crowd in Washington who, for the last few decades, have said, 'Let's respond to this economic challenge with the same old tune. The market will take care of everything,' they tell us. If we just cut more regulations and cut more taxes – especially for the wealthy – our economy will grow stronger."

      Moving in for the kill, he went on to say, "And that theory fits well on a bumper sticker. But here's the problem: It doesn't work. It has never worked. … I mean, understand, it's not as if we haven't tried this theory. We simply cannot return to this brand of you're-on-your-own economics if we're serious about rebuilding the middle class in this country."

      That's right, folks, capitalism had nothing to do with the United States becoming the most prosperous country in the history of the world. It had nothing to do with millions of ambitious people starting with nothing and becoming millionaires and even billionaires. And it has nothing to do with the fact that "poor people" (as defined by the Census Bureau) in the U.S. live better than middle-class people in most other countries.

      GOP creating fuel for Obama ~ By Chuck Norris

      Now, you tell me, which type of leadership is going to win us back the White House: one that rallies the country or divides the house?
      With totally certainty, I can say that Chuck Norris undoubtedly hits the nail on the head in this column, and it is the most important column I've read so far in this election cycle.

      While you need to read this column in full, beginning to end, I need to give you one more quote that is of vital importance, one that is of total relevance to defeating Barack Hussein Obama in 2012:

      Every conservative I know agrees that any GOP candidate will be better than the leadership we currently have in the White House. I firmly believe their positive attributes definitely outweigh any of their negatives.

      With about three weeks to the Iowa Caucus, it's high time that we quit allowing the left and even our own preferences and prejudice to polarize us any further. It's time we lay down our egos and our innate bent to tear down and fight to unify for our republic's sake. If we are going to win the war for the White House, it's going to be solely in our ability to rally together and keep our scopes on the current occupant of the White House, not by aiming at one other.
      Before I read Chuck's column, I read what Herman Cain had to say in his column on the same day. Here is part of my commentary about what Herman was saying, and it is perfectly relevant to the wisdom of Chuck Norris that you will read today:
      As to this coming election in 2012, the major effort still needs to be focused on defeating Obama. That could possibly mean nominating a squishy RINO Republican candidate. Whatever it takes, right? If that is the outcome, what Herman Cain has suggested in this column will become even more significant, as you will read. We the People need to be able to put the pressure on whoever wins the White House and Congress!
      Now, it is time for me to make a request of you, the reader. I know you are one that cares about our future and our freedom, so I'm assuming that you will understand this request is not just so I can promote this column or my blog. What would really help would be if you were to disseminate this column, this blog post, to as many of the GOP Presidential candidates, Conservative columnists, bloggers and talk radio show hosts as possible. WE the People need to spread the word, far and wide!

      This election should be up to you, and not the media outlets - Conservative or Progressive. It is time for WE the People that want to avert the loss of our liberties as given to us in the Constitution of the United States. We need to have a little faith right now in what WE the People can do when we unite. The Tea Party Movement is STILL a movement that allows us keep us unified, if we allow it to. Along with this great column by Chuck Norris, we have been schooled on the abilitiy for us to keep spreading the hope for freedom that will still be here for our children and grandchildren!

      You've heard of "Peace through Strength" before, right? Well, this is "Strength through Peace" amongst our candidates and the pundits. Let's quit giving the enemy the ability to divide us, alright? I'm just sayin'...

      Charles Dillon "Casey" Stengel, the early 20th century baseball legend who played on five teams and managed four, said, "It's easy to get good players. Getting them to play together, that's the hard part."

      What's true in sports is definitely true in politics, but even more so.

      Many say, 'tis the season for GOP rivalry, but when does inference turn to infighting? When does public debate dismantle our conservative solidarity? When do campaign commercials compromise our unity to fight together? And when does friendly bantering turn into friendly fire that is fuel for our foes?

      I know we are in a GOP presidential race. I understand the tactics to win a regular election, but this is no typical run for the presidency. There is a progressive insurrection underway, and at the heart of their political warfare is the disunity of conservative consensus.

      In this unique presidential race, I would propose at this particular point that our infighting is, indeed, not only the recipe for the president's petroleum but also a major strategy in the progressives' plan to keep their incumbent in the Oval Office.

      Former House Speaker and GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich told an audience in Iowa last week, "President Obama is legitimately and authentically a Saul Alinsky radical." I completely agree, as well as the majority who truly understand Obama's origins and political philosophies. Even the New York Times back in August 2009 wrote, "Saul Alinsky, the Chicago activist and writer whose street-smart tactics influenced generations of community organizers, most famously the current president …"

      Alinsky's bible for community organizers is "Rules for Radicals," the principles of which can be viewed in almost every action of the left, including the present White House. For example, in the chapter on "power tactics," the fourth tactic is: "Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules." While conservatives regard congruity as commendable, Alinsky considers it an opportunity for raising disdain among the public and infighting among enemies, because no one can perfectly live up to his or her own message.

      This is where Alinsky's fifth rule follows and applies: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." And the best missile in that arsenal is the friendly fire (ridicule) caused within the enemies' own camps.

      Dear Cain supporters: Stay tuned ~ By Herman Cain

      Cain supporters, stay tuned. We're still going to get the job done. We're going to have to do it from the outside, and I will lead the way and be the people's voice.
      I'm having a hard time accepting the "don't despair" message. We may no longer have a candidate in the GOP race for the nomination that can beat Barrack Hussein Obama.

      It was in horror that I watched Herman Cain's GOP nomination campaign implode, through no fault of his own. There seems to be no candidate with a truly Conservative philosophy remaining in the field that would have a chance to win the election in 2012. We seem to be left with little or no choice in good Conservative candidates that have at least a chance to win the GOP nomination.

      I was heartbroken when seeing the following segment on Hannity last Thursday:

      We are going to need to hear Herman Cain's voice during this time of trepidation. With the primary season starting in less than three weeks with the Iowa Caucus on January 3, 2012, it appears that the Republican Party is not going to give us a strong Conservative that could beat Obama. The closest conservative candidate that we may have in the top tier at this time could be... gulp... Ron Paul.

      In a blog posted several days ago, I wrote:

      So, now what?

      Do we just watch the Republican Party split and implode?

      Is the Tea Party really dead like the Mainstream Media, and even Fox News, is telling us?
      If there was any time that we need the Tea Party Movement to be revived, it is now. I believe that most of the Tea Party Movement still stands behind Herman Cain.   He can still be our voice, along with others.

      However, if Barack Obama is going to go down in defeat next November, I'm thinking that we need more than just a voice.  We need a Conservative leader, somebody that would be able to unite and energize the Conservatives in the GOP.  Or, maybe, it won't be a Republican, but rather a third party candidate.  Unfortunately, as we've seen in the past, third party candidates have always assured the Democrats of a victory.

      I am not sure if a voice from the outside, not even Herman Cain, will be all we need. It won't be enough, unless We the People get together to fight for our liberty. It is going to take all of us that are concerned about our children's and grand children's freedom, and that are aware that we are dangerously close to losing it. It will be our responsibility to join people like Herman Cain in the effort to inform and persuade as many people as possible before it is too late.

      Since my campaign ended, I've been honored to hear from so many people who asked me to continue because they felt I was the person who could help this country fix things that urgently needed fixing. I will continue to lead but not as a candidate, because I chose to put family first.

      I will continue to be your voice and our voice. We will make 9-9-9 a movement. We will put "strength" back into "Peace through Strength and Clarity." We will become energy independent. We will put "united" back into the United States of America.

      I know this from you: When the people understand it, they will demand it!

      We can't count on the mainstream media to properly inform us, because too many members of the media are chasing the sensationalized or distorted story. Many members of Congress are so busy trying to keep up with the legislative process, small incremental changes in the laws and the partisan cat fights that the big changes needed never get addressed. Worse yet, they never even try.

      We have seen repeatedly that expecting 535 members of Congress and the president to make bold changes to truly fix problems from the inside of Washington is not going to happen. Washington is broken! We must change it from the outside.

      The late Sen. Everett Dirksen popularized the phrase, "When they feel the heat, they will see the light." We will be the heat like they have never felt it before. Politicians' actions are ultimately determined by what they believe the people are demanding of them. We will demand bold changes.

      I want to be perfectly clear: I have nothing against buying silver. In fact, I like silver. But don't tell me it's as good as gold.

      Newt Gingrich is riding high in the polls as Herman Cain's support melts away. But what are we getting – gold, silver or brass?

      Suddenly, Washington pundits and pollsters are selling Gingrich as the gold standard for "insurgent conservatism" in contrast to Romney's "cool pragmatism." But let's put aside for another day (say, Iowa on Jan. 10) the comparison of Gingrich to other candidates and just ask ourselves some basic questions. Is Newt Gingrich a conservative? Would he implement a conservative agenda as president?

      The sad fact is, after a 30-plus year career in politics, we still don't know what we are getting with Gingrich because he has been all over the map – pardon me, all over the galaxy – in his policy proposals.

      Gingrich's eclectic unpredictability does not mean he is not greatly to be preferred over a second term for Barack Hussein Obama. What it does mean is that Gingrich would likely have a hard time defeating Obama.

And I'll give you a clue: the nonsense of the allegations against him didn't come from the Rick Perry campaign.       In Part 1, I discussed how the mainstream media, or MSM, billionaire progressives like George Soros, the White House and even the Occupy movement are in cahoots with one another.

      In Part 2, I discussed the MSM's maneuvering to coronate their choice for GOP nomination, George Soros' covert investments in the 2012 presidential election and Agenda 21's relation to progressivism and the Occupy movement.

      Today, in Part 3, I will not only address exactly what is the end goal and meaning of progressives' "total transformation of the United States of America" but also what I and America's founders believe we can do to stop that onslaught from overturning of our republic.

      What is critical to keep in mind is the end goal of progressives like Soros, the MSM and even the present White House administration. It isn't merely to sustain a Democrat administration and majority, or to control the different strata of society, including Main Street and Wall Street. It is about the total transformation of the United States of America.

      Fellow culture warrior and New York Times bestseller Robert Ringer stated it well: "Whether it's the Occupy Wall Street protesters, rioters in Greece, public workers defacing the State Capitol building in Madison, Wis., or thugs tearing down the city of Oakland, Calif., brick by brick, they are all focused on the same objective: equal distribution of wealth and a classless society. They may not use the word communism, but communism is precisely what they yearn for."

      Is GOP planning to 'throw the fight' in 2012? ~ By Eric Rush

      There would have to be some questions in your mind as to why Erik Rush would be wondering if the GOP was going to allow Barack Hussein Obama to win four more years.  Why would they purposefully throw the 2012 election?

      Though you may doubt that would happen, at least when you read what Erik has to say you will understand why he came to this plausible theory.

      I must admit, I had some thoughts that the GOP leadership is trying to throw this election, long before reading Erik's column. I became suspicious initially by the fact that there wasn't an overwhelming amount of support for Herman Cain from the GOP or the "Right" during the devious - and dubious - attack on his personal character. Erik correctly explained it here:

      The political right's attempts to throw Herman Cain under the bus in the face of a scandal that was clearly contrived did more to give teeth to this argument than anything I've seen in quite a while. Given the unprecedented enthusiasm Cain was building, one would think that the GOP would have thrown the full weight of its support behind him.
      Well, the GOP wasn't going to support Herman Cain: He is too Conservative. Once Cain was hung out to dry, it was open-season on him. The attacks on him began to focus on some of Herman Cain's responses to questions regarding foreign affairs. (I have some thoughts on those "responses," but I will share them in another column.)

      But here's what I'm thinking:  Maybe the GOP leaders (Elite) don't think we can win the election. They may be thinking that if one or the other side of the GOP  - progressives (moderates?) or Conservatives - gains too much control, it will divide the Republican party for generations. (Well, so be it, then!)


      The good news, there is a way out for us.  If we unite, like the Tea Party did in 2010, we DO have a chance!  How about if we show the GOP elite that they are misguided? We just need a GOP candidate with great Conservative values, and we're not going to let anyone TELL us who it is! I'm just sayin'...

      President Obama's political liabilities (both passive and active) are legion, and it should be expected that the establishment press will continue to run interference for him – but why the deafening silence from Republican leaders? Increasingly, Independent and Republican voters are discussing the question of why prominent Republicans and the current presidential contenders aren't chanting Obama's aforementioned political liabilities from the rooftops. From the card-carrying communists in his employ, to his role in catalyzing the "Arab Spring," to his vacationing while the world burns, there is just so much from which to choose. Yet the GOP has missed opening after opening politically.

      Many have long considered the likelihood that our country could not have gravitated this far toward becoming a socialist megalith without complicity on both sides of the aisle. The political right's attempts to throw Herman Cain under the bus in the face of a scandal that was clearly contrived did more to give teeth to this argument than anything I've seen in quite a while. Given the unprecedented enthusiasm Cain was building, one would think that the GOP would have thrown the full weight of its support behind him.

      Instead, the GOP leadership bailed, and the so-called conservative pundits who limp-wristedly "concurred" that Cain was not "ready for prime time" – especially considering what we have in office now – made me want to vomit.

      When I – or colleagues who've come to the same conclusions – postulate the notion that the GOP is planning to throw the fight in 2012 with regard to the presidency, rank-and-file Republicans look at us as though live lobsters were emerging from both ears. It's as implausible to them as Barack Obama being a socialist was to most voters in 2008. Why, they ask, would leaders in the GOP play such a dangerous game with our economy in tatters, our national security on opiates and dedicated agitators fomenting a communist revolution?

      Why? Because these faux conservatives fear real conservatives more than they fear communists. What galls is that some among them are prominent figures whom real conservatives have come to trust.

      Sheriff Joe on Obama eligibility probe: 'Where there's smoke ... '

      It has been awhile since I have posted anything about Obama's Constitutional eligibility. It was getting to the point where all the stories were becoming redundant. And much of the redundancy was that even if there was unequivocal evidence that the President was not eligible to hold office according to the Constitution, nobody cared.

      However, there are people that do care, and will keep on harping on it until the day Obama leaves office. Though I'm not sure what the point is anymore, those that honor the Constitution are people that I can and do respect.

      What makes this story different is that it is about an investigation to make sure that President Obama is Constitutionally eligible to have his name on the ballot in Arizona for the 2012 election.

      In an interview with WND, Sheriff Arpaio explained:

      "I don't know where this is going," he said of the eligibility probe, "but I'll tell you one thing: I'm not backing down. I'm not worried about politics.

      "If I get defeated for going after this, well, OK."
      Again, I have to emphasize that it really won't matter what the Sheriff's posse finds out. A microfiche showing that Obama was born of Satan would not really matter too much for many people, apparently.

      But. now, if we could just get Sheriff Arpaio's posse to after global warming and Al Gore. I'm just sayin'...

      ORLANDO, Fla. – While the top Republican candidates refuse to touch the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility, at least four are eagerly seeking the endorsement of America's best-known lawman, who told a gathering of Florida tea partiers yesterday that his "Cold Case Posse" probe examining the president's qualification for his state's 2012 ballot is in full swing.

      Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known nationally for his tough and sometimes unorthodox enforcement of immigration laws, delivered a steady stream of one-liners at the expense of his fierce critics in an hour-long talk that drew frequent laughter from attendees of the Eastern Orlando Tea Party's "Choose Liberty 2012" conference.

      With his trademark prison-issue pink shorts on sale at the back of the room, Arpaio explained why he undertook the controversial "inquiry," as he called it, into the president's eligibility for the Arizona state ballot next year and assigned it to his volunteer team of former cops and lawyers.

      He's already come to the conclusion that a simple way to determine the validity of the birth certificate issued by the White House April 27 is to obtain a microfiche version of it. It should exist, he said, since copies from microfiche of birth certificates for twins born the day before Obama, the Nordykes, have been published.

      "I would highly recommend to the president that if there is microfilm, let's get it," he told the Orlando crowd. "If we could show he was on the microfilm the next day – that he was born in Hawaii – all the controversy would go."

      Arpaio deadpanned that if he can help Obama by proving "through the investigation" that he was born in America, "maybe he'll invite me to Hawaii."
