The eligibility propaganda blitz ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah Posted: July 31, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 In the last two weeks, we have crossed the Rubicon in the media's coverage of Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility. There's little attempt at reporting by Fox, CNN, AP, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the rest. My colleagues in the press have ceased even to allude to facts. They are embarked on what appears to be a well-orchestrated propaganda campaign to assert there is no other reasonable position any informed American can hold except that Obama is a "natural born citizen." It is an accepted article of faith. If one doesn't subscribe to it, you are ex-communicated from the profession and polite society. You become, God forbid, a "birther." Blustering Bill O'Reilly, for instance, just insists Fox News investigated this whole matter a year ago and concluded there was nothing to it. O'Reilly doesn't bother to share any facts gleaned in this investigation. We're just supposed to take O'Reilly at his word – just like we were supposed to take CNN President Jon Klein at his word when he told the world Hawaii had destroyed all the original birth certificates, so therefore the story was "dead." Pardon me, but I'm a journalist. You have to show me the facts before I accept them. What are the facts? To listen to the propaganda press, you would believe that certification of live birth settles the matter of where Obama was born. "He's got a birth certificate!" they exclaim. "It's right here. You can see it on the Internet." However, that document proves nothing about where Obama was born. Nothing! Neither do any of the statements offered by Hawaiian officials who claim to have inspected his birth documents. Nor do the newspaper ads published in 1961. Why? Because you could easily secure one of these documents for a foreign birth. One parent could simply fill out a form, saying the birth took place in Hawaii, and the certification was issued – no questions asked. [CONTINUE READING]

The 'non-issue' everyone is talking about ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah Posted: July 29, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Have you noticed the way the rest of the media discusses the Barack Obama eligibility story? Everyone from Ann Coulter and Michael Medved and Neal Boortz on the right to Geraldo Rivera and Chris Matthews and CNN's heretofore unknown president want you to know there's nothing to talk about here. But yet they keep on talking about it. And they never really explain why they are talking about it and why it's not worth talking about – other than the fact that it's all been researched before and Barack Obama really is a "natural born citizen." Now, as one of only a handful of colleagues who has actually investigated this matter – most of whom work for me – I would like to understand from these people how that little matter was settled. Is one of them capable of uttering even one articulate, coherent statement that would help me understand how Obama established his constitutional eligibility for office? Did he produce an actual long-form birth certificate that would show which doctor delivered him and in which hospital? Who are the two U.S. citizen parents to whom he was born – an absolute requirement to be a "natural born citizen" circa 1961? Why do these media people show so little natural curiosity about the conflicting stories that have been dished out by Hawaiian officials claiming they have inspected the original document and later claiming the original document was destroyed in 2001? Can any of these people point to any official document from Obama's past that he has willingly released? Now, I like Ann Coulter. I consider her a good friend. But when she starts hurling labels like "crank" toward me and my news agency – the only one, by the way, that has thoughtfully, meticulously and thoroughly investigated this matter for 11 months – I take offense. I expect what I get from the others. When the facts finally come out – and they will – I doubt I will get an apology from any of them except Coulter. But clearly, this is not a left-right issue. This is not a conservative-liberal issue. This is not a Democrat-Republican issue. This is not an ideological issue. This is a matter of what's true and what's not. It's a matter as simple as whether we take the Constitution seriously and do our best to see that it is honored and observed and defended. [emphasis mine] [CONTINUE READING]

Beer, Obubba and the dictator's dream ~ By Erik Rush

By Erik Rush Posted: July 30, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 The Cambridge, Mass., police couldn't have stumbled upon a more unfortunate individual with whom to have a run-in. Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. is a friend of President Obama. He is also the director of Harvard's W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African-American Research – which probably translates into his being one of the "Marxist professors" with whom Obama admits he went out of his way to align himself while in college, according to his book "Dreams From My Father." You'll have to forgive me (well, actually, you don't) if the fact that the 58-year-old Gates is considered one of America's pre-eminent black scholars, and that he was once noted as one of Time magazine's most influential people don't impress. As such, I don't see him as being any more than an agent of the negrophiliac social convention that keeps black Americans resentful, desperate, ignorant, impoverished and – oh, yes – voting for progressives. It's also the same convention that got Obama elected, while we're at it. It would only be fair to bring us all up to speed before I explain the irrelevance of the Gates issue to the American people compared to what's really going on here (while acknowledging that race relations remains a contentious issue in America, of course): On July 16, professor Gates was arrested for disorderly conduct at his home after Cambridge, Mass., police contacted him there, responding to a call about a possible home invasion. When queried, Gates began screaming about being profiled as a criminal because he was "a black man in America," accusing the police of racism, and being profoundly uncooperative. Hence the arrest. When police officials discovered who Gates was (regarding his position and credentials), they recommended the charges be dropped against him – but it was already too late. Not only was Gates shrieking to anyone who would listen respecting the "racist treatment" he had received from police, but his buddy, President Obama, had weighed in with his own Anglophobic, anti-law enforcement drivel, declaring that the police had acted "stupidly."
Okay, the above was the background of Erik's story, but the heart of what was going on doesn't really get said until towards the end of the column:
By the end of last week, Obama's statement had become the media story due to the outcry from outraged police agencies the nation over, so much so that he was compelled to hold a press conference to address the issue. Why? Because he is trying to get his communistic so-called health care bill passed; this has dwindling support, and his own poll numbers are dropping. Communistic, you say? Quite so – and this is why the Gates matter has become a smokescreen. Obama needs all of the political capital he has to get this atrocity passed. Right now, everything is about the bill, which is chock-full of provisions that will place government control over the lives of every American. Health care is but a pretext; this bill is a dictator's dream. Read it for yourself. As he explained his stupid "stupidly" remark away during the Friday press conference, Obama reminded us that black Americans are "sensitive" apropos the police and racism. On that point, he is correct; today, it is largely because of people like him and all of the other race-baiting, influential blacks for whom perpetuating the myth of America being a racist nation has been an imperative for decades. Now, in the interest of his image, Obama the peacemaker gwine have himself a sit-down with the professor and the cop and get all bubbafied over a beer. Just tugs at my heart-strings something fierce. But make no mistake. It's all about the bill. [emphasis mine] [READ COMPLETE COLUMN]

Vanished: Obama exposer disappears off Net

Owner vows: 'This guy is coming down, there's nothing anybody can do about it' By Joe Kovacs Posted: July 29, 2009 10:57 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily TheObamaFile.com, an extensive information depot questioning Barack Obama's eligibility to hold the office of president, has vanished off the Internet, and its publisher believes the political end is also near for the commander in chief. "This guy is coming down, there's nothing anybody can do about it," declares Parker Shannon, a 70-year-old retiree who has documented alleged violations by Obama for the past two years from his home in suburban Boston. But Shannon stresses his decision to shut down the site had nothing to do with any kind of pressure from the government. "The Obama camp didn't get to me. They can't," he told WND. "What got to me is my fellow Americans, the cheap bastards." "I'm disappointed," he said, explaining he lives on Social Security and a small amount of retirement money. "I just am tired of doing what I'm doing, and I get 50 e-mails a day telling me I'm a great patriot and they're praying for me. I don't want to hear it. Just send me $10." Shannon says he spent 60 to 70 hours a week on his efforts and received only $240 in the entire two years despite displaying prominent donation buttons. The home page now just has a logo and the words, "Closed. Lack of support." "There was no warning. This is freaky scary. " said Tony Licursi of Kennesaw, Ga., of the sudden shutdown. "There was more info there than [Roman historian] Tacitus could've ever dreamed." [CONTINUE READING]
Note to Parker Shannon: I only wish you had read, "Don't Give Up" before deciding to shut down your great site. If you decide to revive the site, I would be happy to donate free webhosting space to you, at least for the time I am allowed to stay alive on the web, which I hope will be awhile. But, the one thing I would have to wonder is, are you in it for your beliefs, or for the money? No, I understand, it's not about making money, but I do know that there are costs involved. And I do know that Socialist Security is barely enough to eat, let alone buy the gas to get to doctors appointments, etc, and buy groceries, and keep on the internet, etc. Well, all I can say is that I would have been willing to help you with some free consulting, because what you were doing was valiant, and I respect you very much for what you were doing. I just wish I would have found out about your site BEFORE you called it quits. There is the one thing that you may not have thought about before calling it quits: You were adding longevity in your life by putting so much time into your purpose. And, I know, as you can tell from that piece I wrote (mentioned above), there are times that we can feel unrewarded for our efforts. Parker, should you see this post, please contact me!

Obama's Issues Crumbling ~ By Dick Morris

This is a story from back on June 13, 2009 that I just found. It still holds very true. Dick Morris saw what was coming:
Obama's Issues Crumbling By Dick Morris

June 13, 2009

At last, there is convincing evidence that Obama's poll numbers may be descending to earth. While his approval remains high - and his personal favorability is even higher - the underlying numbers suggest that a decline may be in the offing. Even as he stands on his pedestal, the numbers under his feet are crumbling. According to a Rasmussen poll, more voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats to handle the economy, by a margin of 45-39. Scott Rasmussen notes that "this is the first time in over two years of polling that the GOP has held the advantage on this issue." Last month, he had the Democrats holding a one-point lead, but they lost it in June's polling. And the Democratic leads over Republicans on their core issues are also dropping. Particularly interesting is the Democratic decline over healthcare, from an 18-point lead in May to only 10 points now. A Gallup poll also confirms that the president's personal ratings are high, but the underlying data less so. While 67 percent of voters give Obama personal favorable ratings and 61 percent approve of his job performance (Rasmussen has his job approval lower, at 55 percent), they give him much lower ratings on specific issues. Gallup shows Obama getting only 55 percent approval on his handling of the economy (down from 59 percent in February) and finds that only 45 percent approve of his handling of federal spending while 46 percent approve of his treatment of the budget deficit. [CONTINUE READING]
Later on in the column, you will read the paragraph that puts it all together:
Interestingly, Obama's polling is now the exact opposite of President Clinton's in the days after Monica Lewinsky. Back then, the president's approval for handling specific issues was his forte, while his job approval remained high but his personal favorability lagged 20 points behind. Ultimately, it is a politician's performance on specific issues that determines his electability. Personal favorability withers in the face of issue differences. Obama is about to find out that you cannot rely on image to bolster your presidency when the underlying issues are crumbling.
Keep in mind that this was written back on June 13, 2009.

Guess how many ways to get Hawaii 'birth certificate'

Some required nothing more than assertion from an adult By Bob Unruh Posted: July 29, 2009 10:57 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily An analysis of Hawaii's birth recording requirements around the time of Barack Obama's 1961 birth reveals several ways to generate a "Certificate of Birth," including some that require no documentation other than the assertion of a adult. The word comes in a report by an investigator commissioned by a retired CIA officer. The report was posted online by the Western Center for Journalism, which withheld the officer's name. "In the State of Hawaii, back in 1961, there were four different ways to get an 'original birth certificate' on record," the investigator says, including a report to the Department of Health from an attending physician or midwife. But if the certificate was obtained through any of the other three options, "Obama would have a very good reason not to release the vault birth certificate," the investigator said. "If the original certificate were the standard … type of birth certificate (documented by a physician or midwife), he would have allowed its release and brought the controversy to a quick end," the report said. The investigator said if the birth certificate was obtained by one of the other methods, then it contributes to the overall questions raised about Obama's eligibility. Where America stands today ~ By Glenn Beck

By Glenn Beck July 27, 2009 - 13:24 ET Dear family and friends, I don’t like being the bearer of bad news. It’s difficult for me emotionally and mentally to continually bring the message that ‘bad times are coming’ and I know you’re growing tired of continually hearing the message of ‘prepare, prepare, prepare.’ There are times when I wish I could see the ‘green shoots’ that Ben Bernanke says are sprouting up or agree that the Obama Administration has “rescued the economy from the worst recession ever.” But I have to tell you how I see the world. I’m not an economist or banker and I could be wrong, but I don’t see ‘green shoots’ or long-term stability for America right now. On September 18, 2007 when the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 13,403 and unemployment was at 4.6% and the ‘experts’ were telling you good times were ahead I had to tell you that, “We are absolutely heading in for a recession. It is unstoppable…” I wish I could tell you I see better times ahead but I don’t. Here’s a summary of where we are today. [CONTINUE READING]

America: Past, Present and Future...Part II ~ By Glenn Beck

By Glenn Beck July 28, 2009 - 13:30 ET Dear family and friends, Yesterday I shared my thoughts on the challenges and threats facing America as I see them. What I’m going to share today are some examples from history of countries, including our own, which faced similar challenges (to greater or lesser degrees) and how those countries faired while confronting those challenges. I wanted to look at history because too many people call into the radio show or send an email after watching the television show and tell me “not too worry” about America because we’ve faced worse hardships before and have not only overcome them but have emerged stronger. I understand the American spirit. I understand that we are the country that took on the Nazis, Fascist Italy and Imperial Japan and won. I understand that we stood toe-to-toe with the Soviet Union over 40 years and defeated them in the Cold War. I know that we are a country of fighters and that Americans are capable of conquering any challenge—but the belief that great things happen to America just because we’re America—that’s just plain wrong. Thrift, hard-work, sacrifice by our parents, grandparents and their mothers and fathers went hand-in-hand with the thrift, hard-work and sacrifice we collectively made as a country—that’s what produced unparalleled strength and success. Today, we face difficult times. We stand at cross-roads as a country. Where we eventually end up will be determined by the decisions each of us makes today and in the weeks and months ahead. Great countries don’t collapse, they transform. [Emphasis mine] The Soviet Union in 1991 didn’t disappear after its political and economic model collapsed, it transformed and is still transforming. Weimar Germany’s government collapsed as did its economy but Germany continued—at first down the national socialist path—and now as a democracy. [CONTINUE READING]

The Gates of babble-on ~ By Doug Powers

Doug PowersBy Doug Powers Posted: July 27, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Years ago, I worked at a grocery store, and at the end of each day part of my job was to go into the office, balance the tills and prepare the evening's bank deposit. One particularly slow evening, I decided to flip through the job applications that were filed in a cabinet below the desk. One in particular has stuck in my head all these years. On one of the completed applications, someone – I assume it was the store manager – had written in marker, "No! Black." This was back in '90. No, not 1890 – but 1990. That personal brush with racism has always served as a reminder for me that real obstacles still exist for a whole lot of people, and why such skepticism still exists. This is why "race pimps" in America need to be confronted and exposed as frauds and counter to the cause for which they claim to be fighting. The mugshot of Professor Henry GatesMy optimism for the future of race relations in the United States took a hit last week when even the president of the United States got in on the act by assuming that the officer who arrested Harvard professor Henry Gates "acted stupidly." Obama then went into a diatribe about race relations in America, implying that the arrest was racially motivated and an exercise in profiling – because hey, all white people profile. All indications are that the officer wanted to make sure the home belonged to Gates for his own safety after a neighbor called the police to report a burglary, and Gates, who apparently has a bigger chip on his shoulder than an ant carrying a Dorito, wasn't playing along. According to the police report, Gates was also upset that the officers didn't recognize him. Since when did university professors start thinking they're Madonna? In any case, President Obama has invited Henry Gates and officer Crowley over for a beer, because everybody knows that any racial dispute can be defused by adding alcohol to the situation – it's just common sense. Crowley, to my knowledge, has yet to accept the invitation. In the name of helping end all racial bias, I hope officer Crowley does not accept the invitation, because to do so would be tantamount to an admission of guilt to a charge of racism. This much is certain: Crowley isn't being invited over to be the recipient of an apology or even to engage in meaningful dialog – but for an intervention, community organizer-style. What the Fed Has Done to Us ~ By Ron Paul

From LewRockwell.com By Ron Paul July 27, 2009 Before the Committee on Financial Services, U.S. House of Representatives, July 21, 2009 The Federal Reserve in collaboration with the giant banks has created the greatest financial crisis the world has ever seen. The foolish notion that unlimited amounts of money and credit, created out of thin air, can provide sustained economic growth has delivered this crisis to us. Instead of economic growth and stable prices it has given us a system of government and finance that now threatens the world financial and political institutions. Real unemployment is now 20% and there has not been any economic growth since the onset of the crisis in the year 2000, according to non-government statistics. Pyramiding debt and credit expansion, over the past 38 years, has come to an abrupt end – as predicted by free-market economists. Pursuing the same policy of excessive spending, debt expansion, and monetary inflation, can only compound the problems and prevent the required correction. Doubling the money supply didn’t work; quadrupling it won’t work either. The problem of debt must be addressed. Expanding debt when it was a principal cause of the crisis is foolhardy. Excessive government and private debt is a consequence of a loose Federal Reserve monetary policy. Once a debt crisis hits, the solution must be paying it off or liquidating it. We are doing neither. Net US debt is now 372% of GDP. In the crisis of the 1930s it peaked at 301%. Household debt services requires 14% of the disposable income – an historic high. Between 2000 and 2007 credit debt expanded five times as fast as gross domestic product. [CONTINUE READING!]

Pushing toward amnesty, Part 2 ~ By Barbara Simpson

Barbara SimpsonBy Barbara Simpson Posted: July 27, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 As Congress, under the control of far-Left politicians, continues to usurp more of the rights and freedoms of American citizens as well as planning the further confiscation of personal wealth of all Americans regardless of how "rich" they are, the fiscal future of this country will be perpetual, staggering debt. While states teeter toward bankruptcy, the feds spend like teenagers with access to Daddy's bank account. They spend everyone else's money with no end in sight. Joe Biden, our erstwhile vice president, in all his wisdom, declared to an AARP town hall meeting that "… the only way to avoid that (bankruptcy) is for the government to spend more money." If your head spins from the whirlwind of government proposals, spending plans and bureaucracy creation that is the hallmark of the Obama administration, never forget, he's not done yet. We got hit with TARP; bank, mortgage and insurance company bailouts; the takeover of car companies; salary setting for corporate executives; stimulus money spread like honey across the country without oversight; cap and trade, which will further devastate the economy and our energy needs; and currently, attention is on a government takeover of our entire medical system. Barack Obama wants the White House in charge of who gets what medical care, how much, when, where and by whom. Individuals, doctors and nurses will be cut out of decision making; the bureaucracy and bureaucrats will take over. It appears the only "choice" left in medicine will be for abortion; bureaucratic, government "deciders" will make all other decisions. While the man who is president promises "freedom of choice for efficient medical care at lower costs," the Congressional Budget Office says the whole thing is fiscally disastrous – $1.04 trillion in new expanses. But watch out! Next up is "comprehensive immigration reform." A better name is "amnesty" for illegal aliens. Illegals in this country will be made full citizens. Obama wants it done by December. There's no cost estimate. Imagine! Break the law, and the prize is citizenship! Such a deal! Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., says he want to bring "the 11 million people out of the shadows. …" He's got the numbers wrong. More accurately, the figure is between 20 to 30 million. That's a lot of lawbreakers. Imagine the costs that will hit local and state governments, to say nothing of Washington. Despite denials, the current Democrat medical plan would cover those millions of illegals. In an effort to prevent that, Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., introduced a GOP-supported amendment to prevent subsidized health care for illegals. The House Ways and Means Committee voted it down (26-15) on straight party lines. But let's get practical. The last time Congress tried for amnesty, in 2007, unemployment was only 4.6 percent and Americans said no! Unemployment now is over 10 percent and climbing; 14 million-plus Americans are out of work. Amnesty would put them in job competition with illegals who are now in this country, working below scale, mostly not paying taxes and being a massive drain on resources. For example, the Los Angeles Times reported that illegals comprise 7 percent (more than 2.7 million) of California's population. Officials estimate that adds $4 to 6 billion in costs "primarily for prisons and jails, schools and emergency rooms." Calculations show illegals in schools cost the state $2.3 billion annually. Eligibility story is dead? ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah Posted: July 27, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 I love the way the media enterprises that have never investigated the eligibility story when it was alive now feel compelled to pronounce it dead. CNN President Jon Klein sent an e-mail to his staff last week explaining, "This story is dead." Apparently he felt compelled to make the official statement because one CNN rogue, Lou Dobbs, had recently discovered the fact that Barack Obama had never established his bona fides as a constitutionally eligible president – failing to prove he was a "natural born citizen" as his Republican opponent was forced to do in Senate hearings. Why was Klein so sure there was nothing to it? His reasoning was very strange indeed – and his logic even more twisted. It seems CNN researchers contacted the Hawaii Public Health Department about the missing long-form birth certificate – the only document absolutely essential to determining where Obama was actually born. What they were told was stunning. The long-form birth certificate no longer exists! It was destroyed in 2001 when Hawaii went paperless. Now, what's shocking about that? The same media outlet that claimed the story was dead because the birth certificate hasn't existed in eight years previously claimed that a Hawaiian official had personally inspected it to determine its authenticity. Now maybe I'm an unusual newsman, but when I get two entirely contradictory statements from public officials, it makes me more suspicious and curious, not less. How is it that state health director Dr. Chiyome Fukino was able personally inspect the birth certificate in November 2008 when it had been destroyed seven years earlier? How is it that FactCheck.org was able to have "seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate" around the same time if it was destroyed in 2001? These supposedly first-hand observations have heretofore been used as prima facie evidence that a long-form birth certificate confirms Obama's story about a Hawaiian birth Aug. 4, 1961. But somebody's lying. How can both stories be true? How can they both be used to suggest there is no story here? Where is the natural curiosity by the rest of the press? How is it that they can accept at face value two patently contradictory statements and claim they both provide evidence of Obama's natural born citizenship and eligibility for the highest office in the United States? Ann Coulter: "Obama Birthers" Are Wrong

Ann Coulter seems to think that people that doubt Barack Hussein Obama's eligibility to be President under Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States are cranks. I guess she hasn't read all of the material about the eligibility issue that I have. Either that, or she's just gutless when it comes to speaking about the truth because she's too worried about what people will think of her, and that would be pathetic. I hope that isn't the case.

Emergency Broadcast - The New World Order Is Here

I came across this video that must be shared. It will make you think. While the One World Government, or the New World Order, or whatever you want to call it, may not yet be in place, do you get the feeling that the path leading to it is being paved? After watching this video, I doubt that you will still feel that it is a long way off. It isn't going to be too much longer, in my humble but well informed opinion. It's happening now! There is a book that I read a couple of years ago, By Dr. Stanley Monteith, called, "Brotherhood of Darkness." I highly recommend reading it at your earliest opportunity. It is very educational, as Dr. Monteith explains just how the New World Order will be brought to us, and the secret societies who are behind it. In fact, I may just read it again myself. Youu can buy the book here, or check to see if they have it at Amazon. Now, it's video time. Watch this and be prepared to be in totally stunned silence when you're done: RELATED STORY: Read about "Brotherhood of Darkness" by Dr. Stanley Monteith

'Shut up Lou Dobbs' campaign hits stride

Where's the Birth Certificate?CNN anchor simply wants birth certificate revealed By Bob Unruh Posted: July 24, 2009 11:45 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily He already believes President Obama is a U.S. citizen, and all he wants is for him to produce a copy of his birth certificate, but even that request has generated a full-scale attack on CNN anchor Lou Dobbs. Lou DobbsAccording to the Los Angeles Times, CNN President Jon Klein told staffers of "Lou Dobbs Tonight" the issue of the legitimacy of President Obama's birth certificate – a topic Dobbs has discussed on the air – is a "dead" story. The report said Klein wrote that CNN researchers found Hawaiian records were discarded in 2001 when the state's records system went electronic. Therefore, the report said, Obama's original long-form birth certificate no longer exists, and a computer-generated abbreviated version that has been promoted on the Internet is the official record. "It seems to definitively answer the question," Klein's e-mail said, according to the newspaper. "Since the show's mission is for Lou to be the explainer and enlightener, he should be sure to cite this during your segment tonite. And then it seems this story is dead – because anyone who still is not convinced doesn't really have a legitimate beef." [CONTINUE READING]

Obama's New Friend ~ By Kevin Jackson

By Kevin Jackson of The Black Sphere Friday, July 24, 2009 Henry Louis Gates Jr. mugshotI find it hard to believe that Obama would dedicate so much time at a press conference to discuss a matter between Cambridge police and an elitist racist Democrat—this one happens to be black. I guess when your press conference on healthcare is a disaster, you look for any man-made disaster that offers deflection from your own. Reinforcng to me that Harvard degrees make good toilet paper, Professor Gates portrayed his ignorance and in the typical Harvard arrogance that has become all too familiar to America during the Era of Brown Underwear. If I were president of Harvard or of alumni association, I would start sending out communiques that say, “Everybody just shut up!” You can only run so long on the momentum of past excellence. Is civility on the curricula at Harvard? If it is, Gates skipped that lecture series. So when confronted at his home by an officer of the law there to protect Gates’ own property, Gates decided to exercise his right to be a pompous Harvard ass. Gates didn’t like that a lowly police officer—a white one at that—was attempting to question him in his own home, despite the fact that Gates was witnessed by neighbors “jimmying” his way in. Nothing suspicious about that! As for the confrontation, it likely went something like this: Cop: Sir, I’m going to need you to put your hands up. The offensive against eligibility questions ~ By Joseph Farah

Joseph FarahBy Joseph Farah Posted: July 25, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 What a difference a day makes. It seemed like only yesterday WND was all alone hammering away on Barack Obama's eligibility issue. Today, it ranks right up there with the imminent nationalization of the health care industry and the biggest tax increase in the history of the world as one of the top stories. There isn't a news agency left in America not covering the story – or, more precisely, covering it up. The Associated Press begins its stories by explaining that the controversy has already been debunked. How? By whom? The largest newsgathering agency in the world doesn't specify. It has just been debunked. That's all you need to know. CNN interviews two prominent "birthers," but, before allowing them to say a word, the piece is set up with 10 minutes of explanation by an anchor that the story you are about to hear is not really a story at all. It has all been explained before. How? By whom? You don't need to know. Take CNN's word for it. They've got their sources. Then there are the activists at Media Matters and the Huffington Post, ready to smear me and Jerome Corsi and WND reporters at the drop of a hat. The noise is getting louder. It makes me think we're really on to something here. Why would Obama acolytes be so upset by the old questions if they weren't threatening? This all came home to me yesterday when I got the shock of my life. Dozens of readers brought to my attention that within a 24-hour period, most of the major search engines had systematically scrubbed WND content from their rankings. In 12 years of directing WND, I have never had complaints about WND's position in search engine ranks. That's not to say we are search engine optimized. It just means that you could find WND content through all major search engines. Yesterday that all changed – in the blink of an eye. We may not have been search engine optimized like the Huffington Post, which accounts for virtually all of its traffic. But we had been the victims of something I have dubbed intentional "search engine minimization." This happened not just with my old adversary Google, but with Bing, Yahoo and others. This is especially true of our content dealing with Barack Obama's eligibility – a story WND singlehandedly as a media agency propelled to the top of the news charts. [CONTINUE READING]

Green with envy ~ By Patrice Lewis

Patrice LewisBy Patrice Lewis Posted: July 25, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 So I hear India has been recognized by the National Geographic Society for being the greenest country in the world. Isn't that nice? According to the international polling firm GlobeScan, India earned this distinction through its dedication to "environmentally sustainable behavior" such as eating locally grown foods, lack of meat consumption, scarcity of electricity and running water, and deficiency of motorized transportation (public or otherwise). India scored first with a Greendex score of 59.5. (America scored an embarrassingly low 43.7.) I assume the National Geographic Society would be delighted if everyone scored 100 by living naked in caves. The article does admit India scored this high "more out of compulsion than conviction." I'm sure if someone offered to provide all Indians with indoor toilets and clean running water, they would reject such amenities lest they disrupt their commitment to saving the planet (and imperil their chances for future awards). Sadly, India's "greenness" is decreasing as portions of the country adopt modern amenities and pull themselves out of poverty. Shocking, I know. How could they be so thoughtless? "India is … the only country surveyed experiencing increased bottled water consumption," snarks the article, without perhaps considering that water in many parts of India isn't treated and is rife with disease. I'd drink bottled water, too. Regarding the scores for other countries, GlobeScan gloats, "… economic troubles may have worked to the environment's advantage. … Among those who reported that they reduced energy consumption at home over the past year, some 80 percent say that cost was one of the top two reasons they did so." Translation: The poorer you are, the greener you are. Cave living, anyone? Fortunately much of India is experiencing a severe drought, resulting in crop failures across the country. For many rural poor, this means potential starvation because electricity and irrigation (which might otherwise balance agriculture during a drought) are nonexistent. Isn't this great? It means India can keep its high Greendex score for the foreseeable future. Take a look at the Greendex calculator quiz, designed to test your personal Greendex score. Under the section 8, which surveys one's opinions about the environment, there used to be a statement along the lines of "Less developed countries should have their standard of living raised closer to that of the United States." Agreeing with this statement dinged your "Greendex" score. I notice the quiz no longer has that statement. Perhaps India complained. This strikes me as the cruelest expression of the green movement – to self-righteously condemn the bulk of the world's population to grinding poverty, then praise them for their commitment to saving the earth. Twisted, seriously twisted. I understand the reason behind Greenies' venomous condemnation of Western Civilization, particularly America. We maintain a high standard of living through equally high resource consumption. Every time you get in your car, sleep in a bed, drink potable water or eat three square meals a day, you are more fortunate than a huge percentage of the globe's population. (That's why I find it so ticklishly cute when someone claims they're saving the earth by, oh, driving to a "save the whale" rally.) But should I praise Third World countries for their generous assistance to Gaia by starving to death? Should I congratulate India for its widespread involuntary poverty as a means to save the earth? Should I discourage poor countries from improving their standard of living lest they use more resources and (gasp) maybe even have indoor plumbing? I see hypocrisy all over this. Greenies praise poverty-stricken countries for their minimal use of resources while they themselves take hot showers, commute to their nonprofit office jobs (taking public transportation for granted) and self-righteously shop at farmer's markets for organic bean curd. If they're so hot to save the world's resources through poverty, they should be the first to reduce their wardrobe to a single outfit and live in a box. Think of the resources they'd save! I'm not justifying excessive consumerism or a go-to-hell attitude toward wise stewardship of our resources. Far from it; that's why we ourselves live green. But I feel compelled to point out that it's usually someone wealthy enough to choose poverty and then proclaim their lofty and superior greenness, who yell the loudest when a Third World country starts to pull itself out of privation and by extension uses more resources. Ready or not, judgment day is coming! ~ By Henry Lamb

By Henry Lamb Posted: July 25, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 In his great old hymn, Will L. Thompson tells us that "There's a great day coming – by and by." Thompson's great day, of course, is judgment day, "When the saints and the sinners shall be parted right and left." Judgment day in America is coming. It's inevitable. It is impossible for a nation to borrow its way out of debt. And it is impossible for a free people to be forever enslaved by regulatory chains. Thompson's hymn asks: "Are you ready for the judgment day?" Ready or not, judgment day is coming. Obama and his left-leaning cronies have already borrowed more than all the past presidents, and he is pushing his cronies to run up another trillion dollars of debt to enslave the entire health care system in regulatory chains of government. Obama and his left-leaning cronies are rushing to forge regulatory chains around every citizen who uses energy, using the bizarre excuse that these measures are required to prevent the planet from overheating – when mountains of scientific evidence says otherwise. Obama and his left-leaning cronies are rushing to restrict the use of privately owned land by claiming authority to regulate activities that may affect the waters of the United States – which they define to be all water, anywhere it may fall, flow, or accumulate. For 20 years, Obama championed the black liberation theology of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, but since political pressure forced his resignation from Wright's church, Obama has deliberately distanced himself from Christianity, at Georgetown University, by ending the White House Prayer Breakfast and by avoiding church in general. He even declared the United States to be a non-Christian nation. On the other side of the political aisle, there is growing evidence that the "saints" are getting ready for the judgment day. That day will come Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, (congressional elections) when the political saints and the sinners shall be parted right and left. It will be a great day if Obama's left-leaning cronies in the House and the Senate are sent packing by free people who are sick and tired of letting government continue to wrap regulatory chains around them. It will be a great day if Obama's left-leaning cronies are unable to force their "crap and charade" energy tax into law. It will be a great day if Obama's left-leaning cronies are unable to confiscate the nation's health care industry in order to ration services only to those they deem worthy. It will be a great day, indeed, if the left-leaning Obama cronies are turned out of office on judgment day. Are you ready for the judgment day? Thousands and thousands of people are getting right with their conscience. The guilt of apathy and fear of left-leaning lunacy has mobilized people from one end of the nation to the other to gather in tea parties to express their dissatisfactions with the bankrupting, enslaving policies of the liberal left. More important, they are organizing in every state, in every county, in every precinct, to get the right people to the polls to ensure that the trumpets will blow and the angels will sing in celebration of a glorious victory for freedom and common sense on judgment day. Has Obama's luck run out? ~ By Patrick J. Buchanan

Patrick J. BuchananBy Patrick J. Buchanan Posted: July 23, 2009 10:30 pm Eastern © 2009 "The sound alone was worth the $24 billion!" So said fellow Nixon speechwriter Ray Price as the mighty Saturn V rocket lifted Apollo 11 and Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins off the launch pad, three miles away, on the start of their voyage to the moon. It was a splendid moment in that first year of the Nixon presidency, a year that had gone remarkably well for a minority president who had come to office with both houses held by the opposition. Within weeks of taking office, Nixon had taken a grand tour of the European capitals. He had proposed a Family Assistance Plan, cooked up in Pat Moynihan's shop, to wide applause. He had announced a withdrawal of 100,000 troops from Vietnam. He would greet the astronauts on the aircraft carrier in the Pacific on their return, travel to Guam to announce the Nixon Doctrine, journey on to Vietnam and visit the troops, thence to Romania – the first U.S. president to travel behind the Iron Curtain. Returning in triumph, Nixon departed for his August vacation. When he returned to D.C., the storm clouds had gathered. In mid-October, hundreds of thousands of protesters surrounded the White House demanding an immediate withdrawal from Vietnam, egged on by a media establishment that had cheered JFK and LBJ all the way into liberalism's war. With David Broder writing of the "breaking of the president," Nixon went on national television to implore the "great silent majority" to stand with him for peace with honor in Vietnam. The networks trashed the speech. But Vice President Spiro Agnew launched a counter-attack on media power and prejudice. By December, after another 500,000 had marched on Washington, Nixon was at 68 percent approval and Agnew, after Nixon and Billy Graham, was the third most admired man in America. Though elected in November 1968, it was November 1969 that made the Nixon presidency and produced the New Majority Republicans would rely on for decades. Obama is approaching such a moment of truth. The universal health insurance plans being advanced all appear too complex, costly and non-credible to pass both houses. The cap-and-trade carbon emissions bill, with its huge costs to be passed on to U.S. producers and consumers, as China opts out, seems an act of national masochism. The $787 billion stimulus bill has done zip to stimulate the economy. Less than 10 percent of the money has gone out the door, which makes one wonder why it was called a stimulus package. Unemployment is at 9.5 percent, well above what the Obamaites predicted, and rising. As worrisome is the situation in Afghanistan. The United States has 66,000 troops in country or on the way, as our NATO allies look for the exit ramp. We are seven and a half years in and the Afghan army is not remotely capable of defending the nation or regime. Afghanistan is now Obama's war. He made the decision to deepen U.S. involvement as we headed out of Iraq. Yet, it is unclear how many U.S. troops will be needed, for how long, to create a stable government and army that can secure the national territory and prevent a return of al-Qaida. Moreover, Kabul continues to protest U.S. air strikes that continue to kill civilians, as Pakistan protests the Marine offensive in Helmand that is driving the Taliban into Baluchistan, where a secessionist movement is developing. Now you can watch eligibility story

Joseph Farah produces 1st feature documentary on Obama mystery Posted: July 24, 2009 12:00 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily WASHINGTON – WND Editor Joseph Farah has produced the first major DVD documentary on the critical issues surrounding the constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as president – but it wasn't easy. In fact, during the course of shooting and editing "A Question of Eligibility," the award-winning filmmaking team, including veterans of many controversial movie projects, made the unusual request to keep its identity secret for fear of retribution from the administration. "That's how hot this topic is," said Farah. "That's how hot this movie is." "A Question of Eligibility" is expected to ship to customers on Aug. 4, the date Obama claims as his 48th birthday. Preorders are being accepted exclusively at the WND Superstore. "I guess you could say it's a special birthday surprise for Obama," said Farah. "But, honestly, I don't think he'll like it. In fact, I believe the facts revealed in this documentary keep Obama awake at night. This eligibility issue is the only issue that threatens not only the future of his presidency, but almost everything he thinks he has already accomplished as president." In "A Question of Eligibility," Farah chose four key presenters to bring the issue home – WND senior staff writer Jerome Corsi, the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of "The Obama Nation"; Orly Taitz, one of the most visible attorneys involved in filing lawsuits challenging Obama to produce proof of his qualifications for office; Alan Keyes, a participant in one of those lawsuits, a presidential candidate himself, and the Republican candidate who opposed Obama in his successful bid to become a U.S. senator, the job that brought him to national attention; and Janet Porter, an activist and pundit who writes a weekly column for WND. "What we have produced here is a compelling and shocking documentary that will appeal both to those already steeped in the details of the eligibility story and those who need a video introduction to the major issues," said Farah. Security Breach May Lead To Obama Natural Born Status

From The Right Perspective Barack Obama with his COLBA series of 2008 security breaches at the US State Department may indicate that someone knows Barack Obama’s true status as a natural born citizen - and is waiting for the right time to reveal it. The breaches, which occurred on January 9, February 21 and March 14 of 2008, were done by two “low level” contractors and another in a mid-level position with no management role. Then- State Department spokesman Sean McCormack, who acknowledged the incidents, admitted that officials only became aware of them on the afternoon of March 20. According to a CNN report of the incident, “a State Department source said passport files contain scanned images of passport applications, birth date and basic biographical information, records of passport renewal, and possibly citizenship information.” It was shortly after this security breach that Internet rumors that questioned the “natural born” status of Barack Obama began circulating. At the time, McCormick said the breaches seemed to be “impudent curiosity” among the contract workers, who were not connected. Despite a very vocal call for a full investigation of the breaches by both the Obama and Clinton campaigns, the incident was quickly forgotten. [CONTINUE READING]

Take 2 aspirin and call me when your cancer is stage 4

By Ann Coulter Posted: July 22, 2009 5:45 pm Eastern © 2009 All the problems with the American health care system come from government intervention, so naturally the Democrats' idea for fixing it is more government intervention. This is like trying to sober up by having another drink. The reason seeing a doctor is already more like going to the DMV, and less like going to the Apple "Genius Bar," is that the government decided health care was too important to be left to the free market. Yes – the same free market that has produced such a cornucopia of inexpensive goods and services that, today, even poor people have cell phones and flat-screen TVs. As a result, it's easier to get your computer fixed than your health. Thanks, government! We already have near-universal health coverage in the form of Medicare, Medicaid, veterans' hospitals, emergency rooms and tax-deductible employer-provided health care – all government creations. So now, everyone expects doctors to be free. People who pay $200 for a haircut are indignant if it costs more than a $20 co-pay to see a doctor. The government also "helped" us by mandating that insurance companies cover all sorts of medical services, both ordinary – which you ought to pay for yourself – and exotic, such as shrinks, in vitro fertilization and child-development assessments – which no normal person would voluntarily pay to insure against. This would be like requiring all car insurance to cover the cost of gasoline, oil and tire changes – as well as professional car detailing, iPod docks, leather seats and those neon chaser lights I have all along the underbody of my chopped, lowrider '57 Chevy. But politicians are more interested in pleasing lobbyists for acupuncturists, midwives and marriage counselors than they are in pleasing recent college graduates who only want to insure against the possibility that they'll be hit by a truck. So politicians at both the state and federal level keep passing boatloads of insurance mandates requiring that all insurance plans cover a raft of non-emergency conditions that are expensive to treat – but whose practitioners have high-priced lobbyists. As a result, a young, healthy person has a choice of buying artificially expensive health insurance that, by law, covers a smorgasbord of medical services of no interest to him ... or going uninsured. People who aren't planning on giving birth to a slew of children with restless leg syndrome in the near future forgo insurance – and then politicians tell us we have a national emergency because some people don't have health insurance. The whole idea of insurance is to insure against catastrophes: You buy insurance in case your house burns down – not so you can force other people in your plan to pay for your maid. You buy car insurance in case you're in a major accident, not so everyone in the plan shares the cost of gas. Just as people use vastly different amounts of gasoline, they also use vastly different amounts of medical care – especially when an appointment with a highly trained physician costs less than a manicure. The criminal case against ACORN ~ By Jerome R. Corsi

Congressional report demands probe, block of $8.5 billion in stimulus funds By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily Posted: July 24, 2009 ~ 12:00 am Eastern In a move to block designation of $8.5 billion in economic stimulus funds, Republicans on a House committee released a report calling for a criminal investigation of ACORN, the community activist group tied to numerous charges of voter fraud nationwide. The 88-page report asks whether ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is intentionally structured as a criminal enterprise. Commissioned by Rep. Darrell Issa of California, the ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, the report charges ACORN "hides behind a paper wall of nonprofit corporate protections to conceal a criminal conspiracy on the part of its directors, to launder federal money in order to pursue a partisan political agenda and to manipulate the American electorate." The report expresses concern that ACORN would channel $8.5 billion in economic stimulus funds through a criminal corporate structure designed to mask the distribution of public money to partisan activities, including voter fraud to advance the campaigns of radical Democratic politicians. "It is undisputed that ACORN engages in politically partisan activity," the report declared, noting ACORN was paid $832,000 by the Obama 2008 presidential campaign for get-out-the-vote efforts. One-third of the 1.3 million voter registration cards turned in by ACORN in 2008 were invalid, the report said, noting a series of criminal actions involving voter fraud have been taken against ACORN in Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Nevada since 1998. "ACORN cannot be receiving government money," Issa told Glenn Beck on the Fox News Channel in his first interview after releasing the report. "ACORN should lose its tax-free status." Within the last week, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, has introduced several amendments to various pieces of legislation to prohibit ACORN from receiving taxpayer funds and to prevent the group from helping carry out the 2010 census. Congressional Democrats have fought King's efforts, rejecting each amendment he has submitted. Since 1994, ACORN has received more than $53 million in federal funds, according to the report. Obama to America: 'Who's your daddy?' ~ By Erik Rush

By Erik Rush Posted: July 23, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Recently, I was discussing President Obama's so-called health care reform proposal with someone in the health care industry. This person was not in favor of the legislation, enumerating many of the reasons it is a horrible idea; still, he was somewhat unclear as to the motivation of those in government, particularly Obama, who are almost perceptibly aching to get it through. In addition to the reasons not to implement this variety of health care reform, which fall into the realm of common sense, historic and economic concerns, we discussed our disquietude as regards the level of power doing so would give the federal government, the potential consequences of which are not being discussed in the establishment press. "Have you ever considered the possibility that the reason they are seeking that degree of control is that – like others before them – they're simply evil?" I asked. After all, despots and tyrannical governments have never come along and said: "Hi, I'm evil. Would you mind putting the future and fortunes of yourself and your posterity into my hands? Thank you very much." Typically, they devise a manner by which they might acquire the power desired before they manifest their true intentions. More often than not it is in the form of a real smoothie who represents himself as something wholly other than what he is. Apropos Americans who support the currently proposed health care reform and President Obama's other obscenely expensive and risky schemes (remember that oft-uttered charge from the George W. Bush years?), the questions remain, ones that have many American brains in knots right about now: Why would people who owe everything they have to a system that promotes life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness wish to advance a system that promotes stultification (death), slavery and poverty? Why would those who have secured such blessings opt for changes that will drastically curtail the opportunity for subsequent generations to enjoy the same blessings? Considering some who are of this class – primarily politicians – the answer is easy: These are people who are incapable – or perceive themselves as incapable – of prospering within the framework of a competitive system wherein production and contribution are recompensed commensurate with the inherent value (of the contribution) to society. The reason they favor socialism and Marxism over representative republics and capitalism is that they and others like them stand to profit more in the long run within a system in which their particular talents – duplicity, nefariousness and guile – supplant those of our current system.
