It's not too late to save America! ~ By Henry Lamb

The rise of Marxism in the mid 19th century that evolved into progressivism in America in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, found that competing political powers were an obstacle to progressive objectives. The Senate, chosen by state legislatures, could block any measure proposed by the House or by the president. Of course, this is precisely what the founders had in mind.

Randolph Hearst unleashed his media empire to publish stories bashing the Senate as a den of thieves chosen by corrupt politicians in cahoots with big industry. Today, George Soros funds Media Matters to publish stories in hopes of destroying all things inconsistent with progressive objectives.

The progressives in Hearst's day won the battle. Woodrow Wilson won the presidency in 1912; and his band of progressive politicians gave us the Federal Reserve, the income tax and the 17th Amendment, which removed the states from any representation in the federal government. The 17th Amendment required senators to be elected by the public, rather than by state legislatures.

The competition between political powers was gone. There was no competing political power to check or balance the power of the Washington government. From the day the 17th Amendment was declared to be ratified, the government in Washington has continued to expand its power, its size and its budget with no voice or power of opposition from the states.

I hope that Henry Lamb is right! It was the fact that Henry included "it's not too late" in the title that should get your attention. It got mine.

Being that I only write one of these posts daily, and I have many great columns to choose from, it isn't easy to decide which columns that I want to discuss. But, this is one of those great commentaries that jumped out at me. I was going to get to this one posted last Sunday night, but that turned out to be the day that Osama bin Laden allegedly went to room temperature. (Just a quick thought: Had the President been a Republican, it would have changed the very BOLD headlines to:
"OSAMA DIED, OR OBAMA LIED!!") The fact that I even have any doubts about the version(s) we have been told since last Sunday night, it is beginning to cast a very dark shadow over how I feel about Henry's "it's not too late" statement.

Just the notion that the Progressives have had a century to drill their propaganda into the minds of the youths, and Henry says that we can turn that around.... how? I tried to do my part by posting educational and uplifting videos... up until I was silenced! I hit the proverbial brick wall. (You may want to consider not getting this blog to go viral, or we may find it go the way of my former video venue.)

But, then again... There could be hope. There might be a way. Maybe it is not too late! You only need to know one thing: IT IS ABOUT SAVING AMERICA! What other motivation do you need, other than wanting to preserve freedom for our grandchildren? I'm just sayin'........

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

On April 18, Standard & Poor's issued the following notice:
Because the U.S. has, relative to its "AAA" peers, what we consider to be very large budget deficits and rising government indebtedness and the path to addressing these is not clear to us, we have revised our outlook on the long-term rating to negative from stable.

On April 26, Market Watch reported:
According to the latest IMF official forecasts, China's economy will surpass that of America in real terms in 2016 – just five years from now.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke says that unless Congress raises the debt limit:
" ... the United States would be forced into a position of defaulting on its debt. And the implications of that on our financial system, our fiscal policy and our economy would be catastrophic."
It certainly sounds as if the United States of America needs to be saved from certain bankruptcy resulting from crushing debt, from an economically aggressive China that has taken all our jobs and from a world that no longer believes the United States is the leader of nations.

It's not too late to save America, but it will take a massive revival and rededication to the principles that made America great in the first place. America is on the brink of oblivion because those principles have been replaced by a modified form of Marxism, popularly known as "progressivism." Progressivism is the philosophy advanced by the Democratic Party – which routinely ignores first principles in its quest to seize control of political power.

Geithner must go ~ By Craig R. Smith

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Craig R. Smith By Craig R. Smith Posted: January 29, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 This week a new era of bipartisan politics was ushered in during the congressional hearings addressing the AIG bailout. Treasury Sec. Timothy Geithner failed with both Democrats and Republicans to pass any reasonable stink test. In fact one of his own, Rep. Stephen F. Lynch (D-Mass.), said with an edge in his voice, "It just stinks to high heaven what happened here." I watched the hearings for several hours. Little belief was to be found among the members that Mr. Geithner or Paulson did anything other than panic during the potential meltdown that occurred in Sept. of 2008. Regardless of how many times Geithner demanded Congress acknowledge his brilliance in saving the world, nobody was buying it. Good grief! So much for voters telling Obama to slow down and move toward the center. The lack of fully answered questions and the abundance of arrogant, angry and condescending behavior from Geithner was appalling. He acted as if the U.S. Congress had no right to ask him such questions. How dare they challenge his genius in getting us past the "worst crisis since the Great Depression." He basically said, I saved your ass and this is how you treat me? In the many hearings I have watched over the last 30 years I have never witnessed this level of slithering, spinning and tortured answering in an attempt to avoid the truth. Mr. Paulson was somewhat humble, at least in comparison. And while his unsupportable assertions, such as unemployment going to 25 percent if they had not acted, were laughable, at least they weren't offered with the snotty Ivy league arrogance spewed from Geithner. I would be shocked if Tim Geithner is able to maintain the confidence of President Obama after his performance this week. On the off chance he does, we need to really question the competence of the president. READ FULL STORY >

Wishing doth not a recession end ~ By Herman Cain

From WorldNetDaily
Herman CainBy Herman Cain Posted: October 05, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke has said that the recession is likely over. The Associated Press has interpreted the three-month decline of new jobless claims from June through August as an indicator of the economy getting better. Then oops! The new jobless claims in September went back up, and unemployment hit 9.8 percent. The ups and downs of the stock market have played many investors like a yo-yo, as they look for any signs that sustainable economic growth may be back. News flash! We are in a recession, and it is a long way from being over. Here are three reasons we will have a prolonged recession: 1) the non-stimulus $787 billion stimulus bill; 2) the threat of increased taxes in the Cap & Trade & Tax & Kill bill; and 3) the prospect of health-care deform legislation. None of these proposals inspires businesses to hire people. That's reality. I do applaud Bernanke's economic optimism, but I would applaud economic realism even more. The real measure of an economic turnaround is when businesses start hiring people again, but businesses are still trying to survive for at least another year in the midst of tremendous uncertainty about legislative proposals in Congress. The evidence is to just ask a business owner and not an academic, a bureaucrat or a media economics writer who has a vested interest in making the Obama administration look good. Prepared to be wrong ~ By Patrice Lewis

From WorldNetDaily
Patrice Lewis By Patrice Lewis Posted: September 26, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 In Greek mythology, Cassandra was the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba. Apollo thought her beautiful, so he granted her the gift of prophecy. But Cassandra annoyed the god by not returning his love, so Apollo put a curse on Cassandra that no one would believe her predictions. Cassandra could see dire events in the future, but no one believed her warnings. A curse indeed. Lately I've sympathized a lot with Cassandra. Back in 1999, we took Y2K seriously. With an infant and a toddler depending on us, we didn't want to take any chances. When Y2K fizzed, we received a modest amount of heckling from smug acquaintances who had snickered at our extensive preparations. "Don't you feel dumb?" was the general sentiment. "Of course not," we replied. "We were prepared to be wrong. Were you?" What we meant by this was, if Y2K turned out to be nothing, then we had a whole bunch of useful stuff as well as a lot of knowledge that would remain long after the stuff was gone. Shrug. But our skeptical friends were not prepared to be wrong. If Y2K had turned out to be a serious disruption in our society, they would be left with no power, no water, no food and (most importantly) no knowledge. They would be helpless and vulnerable. Fast forward 10 years. Recently a neighbor reported hearing a serious, unfunny interview with actor/economist Ben Stein who predicted that all hell might break loose within about six months. I didn't hear Stein's interview so I can't attest to its accuracy, but somehow it doesn't surprise me. Frankly it rings a lot truer than Ben Bernanke's soothing assurances that the recession is over. Where America stands today ~ By Glenn Beck

By Glenn Beck July 27, 2009 - 13:24 ET Dear family and friends, I don’t like being the bearer of bad news. It’s difficult for me emotionally and mentally to continually bring the message that ‘bad times are coming’ and I know you’re growing tired of continually hearing the message of ‘prepare, prepare, prepare.’ There are times when I wish I could see the ‘green shoots’ that Ben Bernanke says are sprouting up or agree that the Obama Administration has “rescued the economy from the worst recession ever.” But I have to tell you how I see the world. I’m not an economist or banker and I could be wrong, but I don’t see ‘green shoots’ or long-term stability for America right now. On September 18, 2007 when the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 13,403 and unemployment was at 4.6% and the ‘experts’ were telling you good times were ahead I had to tell you that, “We are absolutely heading in for a recession. It is unstoppable…” I wish I could tell you I see better times ahead but I don’t. Here’s a summary of where we are today. [CONTINUE READING]

America, brace for inflation - By Craig R. Smith

Inflation is coming. While you may not see it just yet in the CPI, it will be there. It may well become hyper-inflation. I am convinced our leaders are such pansies that they will not make the tough decisions or demand sacrifice from the nation. Why? They are not willing to sacrifice themselves. (And, they want socialism.) read more | digg story

$1 trillion game of 'chicken' - by Hal Lindsey

For over a week, American's have watched a perilous game being played by the economic powers behind Wall Street and the revolted taxpayers behind the U.S. Congress. The drama began to publicly unfold when Henry Paulson and Ben Bernanke went to the president and the U.S. Congress and laid out an "apocalyptic scenario" of utter economic disaster.
