Stop This Madness Now! ~ Ep. 1235 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I address the outrageous comments by these two liberal lawmakers regarding the failed lockdowns. I also address new information regarding the deep hole John Brennan is in for his role in the Spygate scandal.
There is obviously a very good reason why The Dan Bongino Show is as popular as it is. He has such an amazing amount of passion in his research and what he talks about. This episode is a prime example of that passion.  Dan had my full attention, with the blinders on, right from the ringing of the bell by Joe.

The knives came out early in this episode. First, we get to see what a dope that Governor Andrew Cuomo is. The arrogance was seeping out of him like a very, very ripe banana being pealed. What type of person would say the things that Gov. Cuomo said to a reporter, on video? That a person can go get an "essential" job if they are unemployed? It's enough to bake my bagels, for sure. But then, Dan gets extremely passionate about the affects on people's lives because of the shutdown. Yes, I'd say, for good reason. Our bagels weren't just baked; they were nuked. Dan is right, that the people that made the decisions to close down our economy, leading to the unemployment of around 25 million people (so far); decisions that were not in the least bit thought out.

Well, look, I know some people out there reading this blogs don't always have the time available to watch all of the episodes, from beginning to end.  When Dan is discussing Spygate, sometimes, it can get very overwhelming, especially if you aren't familiar with all of the names of the people involved.  Long-time listeners of Dan have been familiarized with many of the players in all of the Spygate hoax to remove the President from office.  That being said, Dan has a pretty good segment about one of the major dirt-bags involved in the Russian Collusion hoax that you really don't want to miss.  You'll find out why it may be time for John Brennan, the CIA Director under Barack Obama, to panic.  Was Brennan the puppet master, as Dan asks?

Obama: Transforming America ~ By Henry Lamb

The War Powers Act says:
The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities … are exercised only pursuant to (1) a declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces"
As a candidate in 2007, Obama knew better. He told the Boston Globe:
The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.
As president, he doesn't seem to care what the Constitution or the War Powers Act say. He considers the Constitution to be a "flawed" document he alone has the wisdom to correct.

Obama's foreign policy is transforming America.

Here is the thing: Politicians always promise things that they know the voters want, and they rarely deliver. But here's the other thing: Obama told America what he wanted to do to transform America during the 2008 campaign, and he still managed to be elected. And shockingly, he has delivered on way too much of the agenda he promised. And then, there are the promises that John Stossel says Obama did not deliver on:

Video provided by HTX900s on Jan 20, 2010

It took me an extra day to get this great column by Henry Lamb posted. I wanted to make sure that I would be able to add further value to what he had to say. Well, as it turned out, there wasn't much more I could write that would fill in any blanks. Henry had it covered. But, at least I found the above video that illustrates much of what is covered in Henry's first paragraph.

And here is one last thing... When those of us on the Right have something to point out about Obama and the Left, it isn't "nasty, smarmy things." No, we're just letting people know what it was that Obama promised, and it is in his own words. It isn't just about which parts of the Obama agenda that have succeeded or failed that really matters. It is the fact that he made his agenda known: Transform America. And I think the results of that transformation will not be pretty. The very scary part is that it really seems to be intentional. Very scary, especially for the fact that Obama has announced that he is running in 2012. I'm just sayin'....

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

He said he was going to do it. He explained why he was going to do it. He even said how he was going to do it. He has been doing it since the day he took office.

To be fair, he did take office at a time when the economy was on the brink of disaster. Of course, he and others of his philosophical ilk caused both the housing bubble and its collapse – no matter how hard they deny it. Organizations such as ACORN, where Obama cut his teeth as a community organizer, demanded that banks fund mortgages for people who had no hope of repaying them. Democrats in Congress made it easy for banks by guaranteeing the loans through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Two months before the 2008 election, the U.S. government had to bail out the two failed financial institutions to the tune of $15 billion.

During eight years under the Bush administration, the national debt increased by $4 trillion ($500 billion per year.) These years included the attack on the World Trade Centers, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Hurricane Katrina, as well as the explosion of the housing bubble. Obama added $4 trillion to the national debt in 421 days. And his "spreading the wealth around" has created a debt that will burden future generations for years to come.

Obama's economic policy is transforming America.

Despite the absence of constitutional authority, or a single Republican vote, Obama's health-care plan not only deepens the public debt, but also forces previously free citizens to purchase a product designated by the government. Never before has the federal government presumed to dictate what its citizens must buy. Moreover, Obama and his Democratic majority in Congress used bizarre procedures to force "Obamacare" into law. By so doing, Obama has demonstrated that he believes his ideas on governance to be superior to the founders', and that achieving his goals is far more important than any rules or procedural restraints.

Obama chooses not to enforce federal drug laws relating to marijuana, or to allow his Department of Justice to prosecute Black Panthers who stood – with billy club in hand – in front of polling places to intimidate white voters. But he quickly sues a school district for not allowing a Muslim teacher to take three weeks off to go to Mecca.

Obama's social policy is transforming America.

He wasn't just whistling Dixie ~ By Henry Lamb

In this column, Henry tells us more about what Barack Obama meant by fundamentally transforming the United States of America. And folks, it isn't good. As you will read, and see (be sure to refer to the videos at the bottom of this page!), you will find out that despite what BHO says in scripted speeches about being for "free markets," when he's not at his teleprompter, he has a tendency to say what he really believes.

By Novemember 2, 2010, it is our hope that all citizens that don't believe in Socialism or Marxism will vote all of those people out of office. If you know somebody that doesn't understand that Socialism and Marxism results in the loss of their freedom, please make sure that they know before the election in November. And if they don't want to believe that Obama and his minions are Marxists, show them columns like this. It is up to us to make sure people are educated.

Henry Lamb doesn't write these columns just for the money. He is doing his best to give us the tools to educate those that may otherwise be ignorant of what is going on. It is then up to us to make sure we share the information (like what I am doing at this very moment). Just sayin'...
The fundamental change Obama promised is this: a change from America's historic constitutional republic form of government to a new, modernized Marxism delivered in little bites with nifty new sound-good names: health-care reform; card check; smart growth; cap-and-trade; comprehensive planning; and a laundry list of additional schemes, plans, and programs, all designed to tighten the government noose around the neck of every citizen.

Obama meant what he said, and he is doing exactly what he said he would do. He is fundamentally transforming the United States of America. He will undoubtedly continue this transformation until the voters transform the Marxist majority that now dominates Washington. Nov. 2 is fumigation day.

He said he would "fundamentally transform the United States of America." He wasn't just whistling Dixie. He meant what he said, and he set out to do it the minute he took office.

People close to him knew exactly what he meant and what he intended to do, and were ecstatic at the opportunity to vote for him. The vast majority of the black community who voted for him had no idea what he meant, but voted for him anyway because he was black. Southern Democrats had no idea what he meant, but voted for him anyway because he was not a Republican. Independents thought he meant that he would "change" the process in Washington and offer some "hope" for political integrity.

What he meant is now painfully clear: Obama is on a mission to transform the government of the United States of America into a government based on Marxist principles, acting to achieve Marxist objectives, using the Marxist tactic: whatever it takes.

Obama is quick to ridicule (See Video 1 below) those who point out his socialist leanings. But in unguarded, unscripted moments – without the benefit of his teleprompter – he reveals what he really believes (See Video 2 below) about "spreading the wealth" and limiting personal income.

He went even further in a recent speech, explaining that we have to rebuild the economy on a stronger foundation. There is no stronger foundation, of course, than a market in which people are free to become willing buyers of products and services from willing sellers at prices mutually agreed upon. It is precisely when government begins to "improve" upon this concept that the market begins to weaken and becomes less than free.

Obama says he believes in markets that are "free and open" to all who are willing to work. Then he explains how he believes that government should intervene (See Video 3 below) in those markets to make them stronger. He says, for example, that government should provide loans to students to pay for tuition. Why?

There is no authority within the Constitution for the federal government to lend money to individuals. Moreover, in a free market, if there is a demand for tuition loans, the market will provide those loans. Government has neither authority nor need to be in the student-loan business. Nonetheless, Obama has put the private student lenders out of business and put the federal government in business where it has no business being.

Why? Obama's Marxist philosophy dictates that the more government controls, the better life is for all. If government controls student loans, then students will study in the fields government wants to exploit and will not study in those areas government wants society to avoid.

Obama believes that government should fund "basic research" and provide "incentives" for development in energy. This is not belief in a free market as he says; this is market manipulation, which is the essence of Marxism.

A free market cannot tolerate tax levies placed on certain products to discourage their use, while providing subsidies for other products to encourage their use. Nevertheless, government maintains enormous bureaucracies to intervene in the market with extensive taxes and subsidies in an effort to control the market.

Time to stop lying to ourselves ~ By Star Parker

Star Parker writes, "It's time to stop lying to ourselves. We're losing our freedom and our nation. We need to slam on the brakes before it's too late." Let's hope it isn't too late, but I have to wonder.
We can't continue living in the lawless society we've become where politicians and corporate welfare queens can conspire in Washington to do whatever they want with our resources.

Citigroup, one the world's largest banks, was bailed out with some $45 billion of U.S. taxpayer funds, and we taxpayers – you and I – still own a little over one-quarter of the company.

Do you recall making this investment? I don't.

Nevertheless, in testimony before a panel appointed by Congress to oversee management of the $700 billion TARP fund that financed the Citigroup bailout, the bank's CEO, Vikram Pandit, thanked all of us.

"I want to thank our government for providing Citi with TARP funds. … Citi owes a large debt of gratitude to American taxpayers."

The rest of Pandit's testimony amounted to genuflecting before his government welfare officers and endorsing sweeping new government regulation of the financial-services industry that Democrats in the House and Senate are championing.

"I strongly believe that consumer protection can and should be strengthened at the federal regulatory level," testified Pandit.

The $700 billion TARP fund used to bail out Citigroup, along with others, was a check written on the American taxpayers' account that Congress gave then-Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson to spend however he wanted.

At the center of the financial collapse that brought down these banks was the illusion of infinitely rising housing prices fueled by trillions of dollars of free-flowing credit, artificially cheap because it was backed by us taxpayers through FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

In other words, the heart of our crisis can be explained by Margaret Thatcher's famous summary of the problem with socialism: Sooner or later you run out of other people's money.

Of course, we need protection. But American consumers are also American taxpayers, and it's American citizens and taxpayers that need to be protected from their government.

The tea-party grass-roots revolt that has sprouted across our country is a basic expression of recognition that we have lost control of our own government and that if we are going to be a free and prosperous people, this can't go on.

Geithner must go ~ By Craig R. Smith

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Craig R. Smith By Craig R. Smith Posted: January 29, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 This week a new era of bipartisan politics was ushered in during the congressional hearings addressing the AIG bailout. Treasury Sec. Timothy Geithner failed with both Democrats and Republicans to pass any reasonable stink test. In fact one of his own, Rep. Stephen F. Lynch (D-Mass.), said with an edge in his voice, "It just stinks to high heaven what happened here." I watched the hearings for several hours. Little belief was to be found among the members that Mr. Geithner or Paulson did anything other than panic during the potential meltdown that occurred in Sept. of 2008. Regardless of how many times Geithner demanded Congress acknowledge his brilliance in saving the world, nobody was buying it. Good grief! So much for voters telling Obama to slow down and move toward the center. The lack of fully answered questions and the abundance of arrogant, angry and condescending behavior from Geithner was appalling. He acted as if the U.S. Congress had no right to ask him such questions. How dare they challenge his genius in getting us past the "worst crisis since the Great Depression." He basically said, I saved your ass and this is how you treat me? In the many hearings I have watched over the last 30 years I have never witnessed this level of slithering, spinning and tortured answering in an attempt to avoid the truth. Mr. Paulson was somewhat humble, at least in comparison. And while his unsupportable assertions, such as unemployment going to 25 percent if they had not acted, were laughable, at least they weren't offered with the snotty Ivy league arrogance spewed from Geithner. I would be shocked if Tim Geithner is able to maintain the confidence of President Obama after his performance this week. On the off chance he does, we need to really question the competence of the president. READ FULL STORY >

President Obama's Marxist majority ~ By Henry Lamb

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
By Henry Lamb Posted: December 26, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 A reporter asked Majority Leader Harry Reid how he could justify exempting Nebraska from Medicaid payments forever, in exchange for Sen. Ben Nelson's vote. His reply:
There's a hundred senators here. And I don't know if there's a senator that doesn't have something in this bill that was important to them. And if they don't have something in it important to them, then it doesn't speak well of them. That's what this legislation is all about. (Harry Reid, Dec. 21, 2009, Democratic press conference after cloture vote on health-care bill)
Apparently, Sen. Reid sees the legislative process as an activity through which individual senators vie for taxpayer dollars to obtain results that are beneficial to them. If individual senators don't get something out of specific legislation, then it "doesn't speak well of them." As the supreme benefit broker, behind closed doors, Sen. Reid dished out abundant benefits to selected members of the Senate as a reward for their vote on the health-care bill. This behavior is nothing short of bribery – with taxpayer dollars. Reid is not only proud of his skullduggery, but he suggests that senators who do not poke their hands into the public honey pot aren't doing their job. This Marxist majority has made a travesty of our government: The U.S. Senate should be the world's highest platform of political debate, but Harry Reid has transformed it into a cesspool of political payoffs. Democrats everywhere should be embarrassed. Non-Democrats everywhere should be determined to rid the nation of this corruption. The elections in 2010 will reveal whether the United States has succumbed to the immoral, unethical, "end-justifies-the-means" corruption practiced by this administration and congressional majority, or whether the people will rise up and demand a return to the limited federal government and free market the Constitution requires. This is the choice: America as a land of individual freedom, free markets and unlimited opportunity for personal achievement, or America is the land where individuals are forced to buy what government dictates and surrender their prosperity to the government in taxes to subsidize the failure of others. Obama reducing the debt? Dream on ~ By David Limbaugh

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
David Limbaugh By David Limbaugh Posted: December 11, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Two recent news stories illustrate, more clearly than ever, the Obama Democrats' contempt for the free market and individual economic liberty. If given the chance, they will expand government and spend as much of our money as they can get away with. First we learn that Obama and his party simply will not agree to keep their grubby government hands off the estimated $200 billion the banks are going to repay under TARP. Just when we finally receive this glimmer of good news to ameliorate our reasonable panic over the ever-increasing national debt, Obama announces that he intends to intercept a good portion of the debt repayments and spend it on job creation and assistance to certain debtors. I assume we're supposed to be too dense to remember that his stimulus spending to date hasn't created jobs and that most of it hasn't even been used for that purpose. So when this administration says its first priority is reducing debt, understand we are being played – by consummate cynics. Likewise, the Democrats' various health-care plans contemplate $500 billion in Medicare savings between 2010 and 2019. But instead of using the savings to shore up this entitlement's solvency, they are charging forward with a new entitlement: major subsidies to the uninsured to buy health insurance. READ FULL STORY>>

Media want a handout ~ By Joseph Farah

From WorldNetDaily
Joseph FarahBy Joseph Farah Posted: October 23, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Increasingly rejected in the marketplace as irrelevant, media elitists want a government bailout to keep them in business. That's the long and the short of a manifesto on the subject by Leonard Downie, the former executive editor of the Washington Post, and Michael Shudson, a sociologist, in the Columbia Journalism Review this week. Not surprising, of course. The newspaper industry is in its death throes. But what's interesting about the Downie-Shudson report is the justification for taxpayer support for the news business. "News reporting that holds accountable those with power and influence has been a vital part of American democratic life. …" they write. "That journalism is now at risk, along with the advertising-supported economic foundation of newspapers. American society must now take some collective responsibility for supporting news reporting – as society has, at much greater expense, for public education, health care, scientific advancement and cultural preservation, through varying combinations of philanthropy, subsidy and government policy." What's remarkable about this statement, besides its audacity, is the recognition by Downie-Shudson that American journalism actually has a vital role in American society – and it has to do with serving as a watchdog on powerful institutions. Of course, this is what I've been trying to tell my colleagues for many years. I've been writing and speaking on this subject and trying to persuade them that if they will only recognize the central role of a free press in a free society is to serve as a watchdog on government, increasingly the most powerful institution in our society, the American people would reward them directly with subscriptions and advertising revenue. The only alternative, of course, is to appeal to government to coerce money from the people. Sadly, that's the option Downie and Shudson have chosen. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Lehman Brothers Revisited ~ By Peter Schiff

From LewRockwell.com
By Peter Schiff September 19, 2009 As we pass the one year anniversary of the fall of Lehman Brothers, journalists, politicians and market analysts have seized on the occasion to offer seemingly sober assessments of what went wrong and what went right in the lead up and aftermath of the biggest financial event since Black Tuesday. The most popular storyline offered by these Monday morning quarterbacks is that the mistaken decision to allow Lehman to fail resulted from the Bush Administration's misplaced faith in the free markets. In this telling, the real crises began in the days following the Lehman bankruptcy, which unleashed a financial panic that would have caused complete economic collapse – if not for the subsequent federal intervention. In reality, Lehman's demise was simply the result of an unfolding crisis that began years before. Popular belief aside, allowing the institution to succumb to the overwhelming debts on its balance sheet was perhaps the only correct decision made by government since this crisis began. The propagandists' complete reversal of cause and effect now threatens to spur the government to compound prior mistakes and bring on the next phase of the financial crisis. Unfortunately, this chapter will likely be much more dangerous than what we saw last fall. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

A country worth fighting for! ~ By Craig R. Smith

From WorldNetDaily
Craig R. SmithBy Craig R. Smith Posted: September 14, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 The time has come for me to publicly thank Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama for doing something in America that hasn't been done since the Revolutionary War. These three amigos have fired up the American people – so much so that they are finally getting involved with their country and government. It took the most radically left Senate, Congress and White House to inspire Americans to make their voices heard in town halls, online chats and a march on Washington. According to a Daily Mail report, there may have been as many as 2 million people who took to the streets of the nation's capital to say, "no more." The people have had enough with wasteful deficit spending. They will not sit back and allow the monster of federal government to grow and consume every ounce of the labor and resources 300 million citizens produce. Patriots to storm Washington, target out-of-control spending

From WorldNetDaily
Taxpayers swarm capitol, launch massive tea party Posted: September 09, 2009 ~ 8:45 pm Eastern By Chelsea Schilling © 2009 WorldNetDaily The Taxpayer March on Washington DCJust one day after President Obama plans tries to recapture the initiative in the health-care debate with a speech to a joint session of Congress, thousands of taxpayers plan to storm Washington, D.C., in a three-day event to take their fight against excessive spending, bailouts, growth of big government and soaring deficits to the front door of the U.S. Capitol. In a major movement unaffiliated with – but inspired by – Fox News' Glenn Beck's 9-12 Project, called the National Taxpayer Protest, thousands of Americans are answering the call and traveling to make their voices heard at Capitol Hill. Sept. 10 marks the kickoff of the three-day march on Washington. Brendan Steinhauser of FreedomWorks, one of the groups organizing the Sept. 12 event, told WND, "We're expecting a huge gathering at the Washington, D.C., armory in the morning, and we'll talk about bailouts, cap and trade and health care. The feedback has been great. It's been phenomenal. Everybody wants to be a part of the event, and it's exciting." [CLICK HERE TO READ ENTIRE STORY]

Obama Only Interested in Bailing Out Union Buddies

Buying Up – Not Bailing Out Industries By JB Williams ©2009 USA Obama is on the cusp of making American taxpayers the proud new bankrupt owners of what is now affectionately referred to as “Government Motors.” – As GM follows Chrysler into Fed forced bankruptcy, Obama’s economic guru has already worked out the details of how GM will emerge from bankruptcy court a wholly owned asset of the Fed. According to reports, the US Treasury will own 72.5% of GM, after Obama carves out 17.5% for the United Auto Workers Union thugs, leaving the “old General Motors” with only a 10% stake in the new “Government Motors.” In the good ole days, we didn’t have Czars in America because the land of the free and home of the brave did not have government owned and operated industries. That stuff only existed in the Soviet Union ... Now, we need a Czar for every industry as the leftists in DC swallow up industry after industry. With blessings from the Bilderberg Group, Timothy Geithner proceeds with Obamanation plans to industrialize the US Fed by consuming yet another major private sector industry. As Obama rushes to buy up [you didn’t really think it was a bailout did you?] private sector industries, one after another, it becomes more and more clear exactly what kinds of “change” Obama had in mind. Too bad his voters never bothered to ask before voting... Guess which Chrysler dealerships Obama and Geithner saw no need to save? Blogger Doug Ross provides facts you are not likely to see on CNN... Boycott the bailout companies! ~ By Joseph Farah

This may seem strange, but when I submitted this story at digg.com, I was not sold on the objective that was written about. Joseph Farah feels that if we do business with companies that have accepted bail-out funds, we are supporting domestic socialism. 5 ways for us chumps to fight back

Those who were financially responsible don't have a lot to show for it, but folks who took big risks are getting bailouts. Here's how we can stop being played for suckers. You played by the rules. Invested conservatively. Looked for company names you could trust, like Lehman Bros. (LEHMQ, news, msgs). Didn't sell out at the first or even second downturn in the markets. Saved up for a down payment. Paid your bills on time and kept your credit card balances down so you could build up your credit rating. Shopped around for a fixed-rate mortgage. Didn't buy more house than you could afford. Managed your company for the long run. Built up trust with your bank. Earned the trust of your suppliers and customers. Kept debt to a minimum even if it meant growing more slowly. Now, don't you feel like a chump? Virtue goes unrewarded Your retirement portfolio is worth 40% less than at the end of 2007. Your house is worth 20% less. Your company is scrambling to stay afloat because your oh-so-friendly banker has cut your credit line. [Continue reading]

Congress' clueless credit system - By Chuck Norris

If our country is to survive, we must elect only those who show proof of fiscal discipline, refuse under all circumstances to increase our national deficit, and who commit to pass and live under a constitutional amendment for a balanced budget. If our incumbents voted for the bailouts, vote them out of office. America, it is up to you. Chuck writes:
How does one fight an administration and Congress that believes "only government" is the answer? Is it really true that in the absence of government intervention and doling out another trillion dollars of debt that our nation would certainly experience an economic holocaust? Former President G. W. Bush pushed the first trillion dollar bailout upon America. Nothing happened. President Obama has now pushed the second trillion dollar bailout upon America.
