Praying hands ~ By Victoria Jackson

The 111th Congress did not respect the rules. It did not uphold the Constitution. The health-care bill was bribed into law. Tax cheats like Rangle and Geithner held positions of authority! The president ridicules the Bible.

John Adams said that anyone who works against the establishment of the Ten Commandments in society is working against freedom and civilization.

Liberals hate the Ten Commandments. Conservatives love the Ten Commandments. Why would I want to be a liberal?

~ Victoria Jackson, in this column ~
Victoria had a lot to say today that I believe to be right on the money. Throw in the video of AlfonZo Rachel of Macho Sauce Productions, and this is the perfect column to start with in 2011! I was going to put this one on my Cross Tribe Network blog, but decided not to since this column also involves a political discussion involving Conservatives and Liberals.

I am not "religious." The word "religion" is taken from the Greek word "re-ligio," and it means "to bind back to God." Works for salvation. Religions teach works for salvation. Christianity does not. The Bible says, "For by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9).

I've always seen the world as saved and lost. We, the saved are supposed to tell the lost the truth, the message, so they can be saved from destruction. One optimistic Christian I know calls the unsaved, "pre-Christians."

After my political awakening, I see America as liberals and conservatives. We the conservatives must tell the liberals the truth, the message, so that together we can save our country from destruction. Liberals are just "pre-conservatives."

It's funny, but the lost and the liberals seem to be the same group. Both resist God and His ways.

I know a few liberals who claim to be Christians, but they won't discuss abortion or the gay army or any of the issues. They retain a smug, superior face and tight lips.

Geithner must go ~ By Craig R. Smith

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Craig R. Smith By Craig R. Smith Posted: January 29, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 This week a new era of bipartisan politics was ushered in during the congressional hearings addressing the AIG bailout. Treasury Sec. Timothy Geithner failed with both Democrats and Republicans to pass any reasonable stink test. In fact one of his own, Rep. Stephen F. Lynch (D-Mass.), said with an edge in his voice, "It just stinks to high heaven what happened here." I watched the hearings for several hours. Little belief was to be found among the members that Mr. Geithner or Paulson did anything other than panic during the potential meltdown that occurred in Sept. of 2008. Regardless of how many times Geithner demanded Congress acknowledge his brilliance in saving the world, nobody was buying it. Good grief! So much for voters telling Obama to slow down and move toward the center. The lack of fully answered questions and the abundance of arrogant, angry and condescending behavior from Geithner was appalling. He acted as if the U.S. Congress had no right to ask him such questions. How dare they challenge his genius in getting us past the "worst crisis since the Great Depression." He basically said, I saved your ass and this is how you treat me? In the many hearings I have watched over the last 30 years I have never witnessed this level of slithering, spinning and tortured answering in an attempt to avoid the truth. Mr. Paulson was somewhat humble, at least in comparison. And while his unsupportable assertions, such as unemployment going to 25 percent if they had not acted, were laughable, at least they weren't offered with the snotty Ivy league arrogance spewed from Geithner. I would be shocked if Tim Geithner is able to maintain the confidence of President Obama after his performance this week. On the off chance he does, we need to really question the competence of the president. READ FULL STORY >

Who is Wesley Mouch? ~ By John Stossel

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
John Stossel By John Stossel Posted: January 06, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 Tomorrow, my Fox Business Network show about Ayn Rand's novel "Atlas Shrugged" will finally air. That should stop the e-mails like this one from Karen Cooper: "Oh for the love of God! 'Atlas Shrugged' explains about 99 percent of what's wrong in all of the arenas of topics: health care, education, climate change, unions, the economy, etc. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE cover 'Atlas.'" Cooper makes a good point. Even though Rand published "Atlas" in 1957, her descriptions of intrusive and bloated government read like today's news. The "Preservation of Livelihood Law" and "Equalization of Opportunity Law" could be Nancy Pelosi's or Harry Reid's work. The novel's chief villain is Wesley Mouch, a bureaucrat who cripples the economy with endless regulations. This sounds familiar. Reason magazine reports that "as he looks around Washington these days," Rep. Paul Ryan "can't help but think he's seeing a lot of Wesley Mouch." Me, too. I also saw a lot of him under George W. Bush. So I'm conducting this unscientific poll: Who is our Wesley Mouch? Hank Paulson? Tim Geithner? Barney Frank? You can vote here. Personally, I think Chris Dodd's ridiculous financial proposals ought to win him the honor. But he isn't among the choices on Fox's list. As I write this, Geithner, President Obama and Barney Frank lead the voting. My first guest on the show (FBN, 8 p.m. Eastern Thursday, repeating at 10 p.m. Friday) is BB&T chairman and "Atlas" fan John Allison. Allison's bank, the ninth largest in America, is doing very well, but he's angry the government forced him to take TARP money. Allison once told the New York Times, "To say man is bad because he is selfish is to say it's bad because he's alive." READ FULL STORY >

Obama Only Interested in Bailing Out Union Buddies

Buying Up – Not Bailing Out Industries By JB Williams ©2009 USA Obama is on the cusp of making American taxpayers the proud new bankrupt owners of what is now affectionately referred to as “Government Motors.” – As GM follows Chrysler into Fed forced bankruptcy, Obama’s economic guru has already worked out the details of how GM will emerge from bankruptcy court a wholly owned asset of the Fed. According to reports, the US Treasury will own 72.5% of GM, after Obama carves out 17.5% for the United Auto Workers Union thugs, leaving the “old General Motors” with only a 10% stake in the new “Government Motors.” In the good ole days, we didn’t have Czars in America because the land of the free and home of the brave did not have government owned and operated industries. That stuff only existed in the Soviet Union ... Now, we need a Czar for every industry as the leftists in DC swallow up industry after industry. With blessings from the Bilderberg Group, Timothy Geithner proceeds with Obamanation plans to industrialize the US Fed by consuming yet another major private sector industry. As Obama rushes to buy up [you didn’t really think it was a bailout did you?] private sector industries, one after another, it becomes more and more clear exactly what kinds of “change” Obama had in mind. Too bad his voters never bothered to ask before voting... Guess which Chrysler dealerships Obama and Geithner saw no need to save? Blogger Doug Ross provides facts you are not likely to see on CNN... America, brace for inflation - By Craig R. Smith

Inflation is coming. While you may not see it just yet in the CPI, it will be there. It may well become hyper-inflation. I am convinced our leaders are such pansies that they will not make the tough decisions or demand sacrifice from the nation. Why? They are not willing to sacrifice themselves. (And, they want socialism.) read more | digg story

End of the American Dream? - By Star Parker

According to our president, because "big banks traded in risky mortgages… lenders took advantage of homebuyers… homebuyers knowingly borrowed too much …" we have today's housing crisis. But it's all so untrue. What has failed in our country is not capitalism. It is the intentional undermining of it. The Obama team is bringing capitalism to an end. Star writes:
As our new political leadership leads us into the fiscal twilight zone, is it too much to ask for a little honesty as they do it? The day after President Obama unveiled his plan to bail out distressed mortgage holders, Treasury Secretary Geithner and Housing Secretary Donovan wrote an op-ed in USA Today explaining it. "Ordinarily, American homeowners don't need government help. … But these are no ordinary times," they say. But practically every American homeowner does get government help by being able to deduct mortgage interest from their taxes. And, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the taxpayer backed quasi-government mortgage behemoths, own or insure around 50 percent of all outstanding mortgages in the country. [Continue reading]

Most sweeping ethics reform in history? - By Chuck Norris

Chuck writes, "Mr. President, I'm doing my best as a patriot and a conservative to support you. But if your present choice of leaders is reflective of 'the most sweeping ethics reform in history,' then I'd respectfully say, sir, you're sweeping in the wrong direction." Appointing tax cheats and lobbyists is not the example of ethics we want to see.

What critics missed about treasury chief - By Jerome Corsi

OBAMA WATCH CENTRAL

Geithner presided over Wall Street collapse as regional Fed president

By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily NEW YORK – While the nomination of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner generated plenty of heat because of his failure to pay income taxes for five years, almost unnoticed amid the controversy is the fact that he presided over the failure of some of the largest banking institutions in the world – institutions he was charged with overseeing and regulating as head of the New York region of the Federal Reserve Bank. On Nov. 17, 2003, Geithner became the ninth president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank, a position he held until he was nominated by President Obama as treasury secretary. The Federal Reserve's charter makes it responsible for the strength of the financial institutions operating in each of its 12 regional districts. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York presides over Wall Street-based financial institutions. [Continue Reading]

Obama: Geithner Situation An 'Embarrassment'

WASHINGTON -- President-elect Barack Obama called disclosures about Treasury choice Timothy Geithner's tax problems an embarrassment Wednesday but said Geithner's "innocent mistake" shouldn't keep him from confirmation as the new administration's top official in urgent efforts to revive the economy. The revelations that Geithner had failed to pay $34,000 in taxes several years ago derailed Senate Democrats' plans to speed him to confirmation by Inauguration Day, but senators in both parties said the information was unlikely to torpedo his chances in the end. Geithner should not be Secretary of the Treasury

By Clarice Feldman and Thomas Lifson The media rush to exonerate Timothy Geithner's failure to pay his self-employment tax as an "innocent mistake" (in Obama's words) ignores a crucial fact: even after he knew of his liability thanks to an IRS audit, he failed to pay taxes on years covered by the statute of limitations. Additionally, his failure to pay in the first place flies in the face of the fact that his employer, the IMF, notified him regularly of his obligation, and even paid him half of the tax liability, in lieu of the employer's share, money which he kept for himself. A tax-evading treasury secretary? - By Joseph Farah

Just before Barack Obama named Timothy Geithner to be his treasury secretary, the president of the New York Federal Reserve Bank quickly and quietly paid $26,000 in back taxes and interest due since 2001 and 2002. Obama characterized the eight-year tax evasion as "an innocent mistake." Moral relativism runs amok in Washington, to say the least.
