Welcome to this Special Edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I coined the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

ANDREW BREITBART (1969 - 2012)

~ A Time 2 Escape WIFLI SPECIAL EDITION ~

A very short time ago, when the story first broke on Fox News and then on Glenn Beck's radio show, I found out that Andrew Breitbart had passed away early today (or late yesterday?) from "natural causes."

It was a very big shock. I had just woke up from a very much needed power nap here in my office (darn, missed about 20 minutes of Glenn Beck's show!) when the story broke on Fox News, and so I pinched myself to make sure it wasn't just a dream, or a terrible nightmare. Very unfortunately, I was wide awake, and it really did happen.

The news hit me very hard. The things that Andrew had worked on in the last few years were fearless. He was a courageous patriot that exposed the corruption in government. Andrew understood that Americans needed to know what is really going on. He exposed ACORN back in 2009, with the help of undercover videographers James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles. 

The fearlessness and courage of the man and his associates is matched by very few.

Though I always knew that there was no way I could ever accomplish anything even close to what Andrew Breitbart has done for Conservative new media journalism, at least it gave me a desire to do what I could to make sure that people were aware of the things that are probably missed by most people while standing at the water cooler or the designated outdoors smoking areas.

Yes, Andrew Breitbart was very much a part of my inspiration to be doing what I can for America in my blogs. But perhaps, like Glenn Beck said a few minutes ago, when someone of Breitbart's magnitude passes, there are another 1,000 people that will continue where somebody like Andrew left off. For Andrew Breitbart, I will do my best to be one of those 1,000 people. Though Andrew has gone on to a much better place, the rest of us must carry on, and strive to be one of those thousand people that accomplishes a tiny fraction of what Andrew was able to do.

My most sincere condolences go out to Andrew's wife and four children. Though many of us feel the loss, there is obviously nothing like losing a husband or father. We can only share in the family's grief.

Obama: Transforming America ~ By Henry Lamb

The War Powers Act says:

The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities … are exercised only pursuant to (1) a declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces"

As a candidate in 2007, Obama knew better. He told the Boston Globe:

The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.

As president, he doesn't seem to care what the Constitution or the War Powers Act say. He considers the Constitution to be a "flawed" document he alone has the wisdom to correct.

Obama's foreign policy is transforming America.

Here is the thing: Politicians always promise things that they know the voters want, and they rarely deliver. But here's the other thing: Obama told America what he wanted to do to transform America during the 2008 campaign, and he still managed to be elected. And shockingly, he has delivered on way too much of the agenda he promised. And then, there are the promises that John Stossel says Obama did not deliver on:

It took me an extra day to get this great column by Henry Lamb posted. I wanted to make sure that I would be able to add further value to what he had to say. Well, as it turned out, there wasn't much more I could write that would fill in any blanks. Henry had it covered. But, at least I found the above video that illustrates much of what is covered in Henry's first paragraph.

And here is one last thing... When those of us on the Right have something to point out about Obama and the Left, it isn't "nasty, smarmy things." No, we're just letting people know what it was that Obama promised, and it is in his own words. It isn't just about which parts of the Obama agenda that have succeeded or failed that really matters. It is the fact that he made his agenda known: Transform America. And I think the results of that transformation will not be pretty. The very scary part is that it really seems to be intentional. Very scary, especially for the fact that Obama has announced that he is running in 2012. I'm just sayin'....

He said he was going to do it. He explained why he was going to do it. He even said how he was going to do it. He has been doing it since the day he took office.

To be fair, he did take office at a time when the economy was on the brink of disaster. Of course, he and others of his philosophical ilk caused both the housing bubble and its collapse – no matter how hard they deny it. Organizations such as ACORN, where Obama cut his teeth as a community organizer, demanded that banks fund mortgages for people who had no hope of repaying them. Democrats in Congress made it easy for banks by guaranteeing the loans through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Two months before the 2008 election, the U.S. government had to bail out the two failed financial institutions to the tune of $15 billion.

During eight years under the Bush administration, the national debt increased by $4 trillion ($500 billion per year.) These years included the attack on the World Trade Centers, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and Hurricane Katrina, as well as the explosion of the housing bubble. Obama added $4 trillion to the national debt in 421 days. And his "spreading the wealth around" has created a debt that will burden future generations for years to come.

Obama's economic policy is transforming America.

Despite the absence of constitutional authority, or a single Republican vote, Obama's health-care plan not only deepens the public debt, but also forces previously free citizens to purchase a product designated by the government. Never before has the federal government presumed to dictate what its citizens must buy. Moreover, Obama and his Democratic majority in Congress used bizarre procedures to force "Obamacare" into law. By so doing, Obama has demonstrated that he believes his ideas on governance to be superior to the founders', and that achieving his goals is far more important than any rules or procedural restraints.

Obama chooses not to enforce federal drug laws relating to marijuana, or to allow his Department of Justice to prosecute Black Panthers who stood – with billy club in hand – in front of polling places to intimidate white voters. But he quickly sues a school district for not allowing a Muslim teacher to take three weeks off to go to Mecca.

Obama's social policy is transforming America.

Obama's visions of China ~ By Erik Rush

Thirty years ago, I could perhaps see young conservatives having certain doubts over liberals' claims that it was preposterous to think a cyclopean, socialist state was in the offing – but not now. Thirty years ago, I was one of those young conservatives, and I had already seen and experienced many of the evils progressivism had wrought. How much more human suffering have Americans endured at their hands since then?

And how much awaits us in the future – when people such as Obama attain the kind of power they really want?

Victoria Jackson: THERE'S A COMMUNIST IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

Erik Rush confirms Victoria Jackson's statement that there is a communist in the White House. Erik goes one step further. He tells of a New York Times article on March 10, 2011 that says, "Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China." And why is that such an incredibly scary statement to be made by the President?

As one blogger put it, "Of course it would. Then he could just slaughter those disruptive Gadsden flag-waving tea partiers," pointing to how that hero of Obama cabinet members, Mao Zedong, slaughtered 70 million people to get the other 700 million to fall in line. How wonderful it would be if Obama could only operate entirely without restraint!

Should the commie-in-chief happen to win re-election in November 2012, by appearing to move to the center to nullify the worries of many Americans that may be thinking that Victoria Jackson is correct, he would then have free reign to do what he wants to without having to worry about re-election in 2016. (Or, then again, maybe NEVER worry about re-election! One of those things Obama could do with one more term would be to follow in the footsteps of his Venezuelan mentor, Hugo Chavez, and virtually become President for life. By hook or crook, Obama would just need to get the 22nd Amendment repealed.)

Of course, some people that read my comments above or Erik's column will think that this is all very far-fetched. I would disagree. There are honestly too many things that we really do not know for sure about Obama, just for the fact that he refuses to allow certain records become public record. However, we do know who he has surrounded himself with, not just while in the White House, but during his entire life, as Erik mentions. Many of his actions as President so far would also give us a clue, too. At least I know that I am not the only one who believes that the speculative projection of Obama's future actions, to the detriment of America, are plausible.

Our Creator gifted human beings with moral freedom (that being the ability to choose between good and evil) with good reason. Those reasons were His own, but since they would initiate an entire theological discussion, I won't get into them here.

America's founders reasoned that establishing a nation that observed the sanctity of that freedom would be of the highest moral good. This is why the American system of governance, though not perfect, is superior to those that have come before or since, and why this nation has enjoyed so many blessings. It gave rise to social, technological, industrial, economic and, yes, spiritual advancement and the ability to share those blessings with the rest of the world.

Up until about 40 years ago, this was also the conventional wisdom among Americans.

Those who find fault with the premises concerning the motives of God and the founders will, of course, disagree; likewise for those who subscribe to the propaganda of America's ideological opponents, which maintains that the United States has simply prospered through predatory, opportunistic associations with less technologically developed nations and our imperialistic designs. This line of reasoning is inane and was originally part of the doctrine of our foreign enemies. Once progressive elites did away with classical education and critical thinking, the inane was readily adopted by wayward Western minds – including those of millions of Americans.

This is, by the by, the worldview with which President Barack Obama was raised. An avowed communist mother and father, a card-carrying communist in mentor Frank Marshall Davis, communist employers in the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and others, and assorted Leninists and Maoists in such people as Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett and Anita Dunn in his employ pretty much verify Obama's political alignment.

Obama didn't even spend his formative years in the U.S.; his teenage years (in Hawaii) were whiled away under the tutelage of Davis, who hated America and was a Communist Party operative in both in Chicago and Hawaii. Obama attended Harvard and allegedly Columbia, and ultimately moved to Chicago to learn how to "be black" and pursue Saul Alinsky's Marxist model of community organizing.

This, from his earliest days of social consciousness, had always been his objective.

Get government out of the market ~ By Henry Lamb

If there was ever a time that I request that you make sure you share a column with your friends, relatives and neighbors, this should be it. In this column, Henry Lamb explains how our financial woes stem from government intrusion into the marketplace.

But here's why you need to share this column: Are you getting fed up with the blatant lies and distortions of the truth like I am? I am so sick and tired of the "blame Bush for everything" crowd! Henry gives us some background here and in a previous column that he wrote back in November 2008 regarding the unintended consequences of the Community Reinvestment Act. The financial collapse of 2008 came upon us because the housing market bubble that was created by the government's involvement had finally burst. Blaming Bush for the collapse is so far from the truth, and yet, apparently many people still believe the biggest lie ever told (by Democrats/Socialists/Marxists/Progressives). It's time that WE the PEOPLE set the record straight! Just sayin'... (and no, I'm not jellin' - I'm yellin'!!)

The cure for the current economic condition is to get government out of the marketplace and out of the lives of individual citizens. Government's correct role in society is to assist – not hinder – free people in their pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. Democrats and socialists believe that government's role is to create an egalitarian society by managing markets, redistributing wealth, and forcing people to live where and how government dictates.

We should never forget: "That government is best that governs least."

The Washington leadership never misses an opportunity to blame the eight years of Bush policies for the economic problems that have befallen the nation. CNN news touts a poll that says 53 percent of the people blame Republican policies for the mess. Both are wrong. Republicans certainly contributed over the years, but the cause of the economic problems must be laid squarely at the doorstep of the Democrats.

The root cause of the economic problem is government interference with the free market.

The root cause of the near-collapse that occurred in the last year of the Bush administration can be traced to the Democratic socialist idea that everyone has a right to adequate housing.

Before President Carter, private lenders in a free market often refused to fund mortgages in certain parts of cities where the neighborhoods were so bad that lenders considered the investment to be unsafe. Democrats and socialists called this practice "redlining." Carter and his Democratic colleagues enacted the Community Reinvestment Act, which effectively outlawed redlining.

This was an enormous intrusion by the government into the marketplace, but it was not enough to satisfy Democrats and socialists. Organizations such as ACORN systematically invaded financial institutions with highly visible public protests, demanding that private lenders fund mortgages for unqualified people in depressed areas. Democrat President Clinton and his Democratic colleagues expanded the Community Reinvestment Act, requiring Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to provide guarantees for these mortgages. Private lenders in a free market would never have made these loans without the intimidation and extortion from ACORN-type organizations and the interference of the federal government.

Intimidation and extortion continued well into the Bush years. When Republicans tried to rein in the loose lending practices at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, their efforts were blocked (see video below) by Democrats, particularly by Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Charles Schumer.

In their effort to meet the socialist goal of providing adequate housing to all people, whether qualified or not, Democratic interference with the free market caused an enormous artificial bubble in the housing market. This housing bubble produced secondary markets in derivatives (packages of government-guaranteed mortgages) and credit default swaps (insurance against default of derivatives). When unqualified borrowers began to default in staggering numbers, the government had to make good on the mortgages it guaranteed, and the insurance companies – like AIG – had to make good on the insurance policies they had issued.

In 2008, under the reign of George W. Bush, the Treasury Department suddenly realized that neither the mortgage companies nor the insurance companies could make good on their commitments and that unless the federal government came to the rescue, much of the financial marketplace would collapse.

Obama and his Democratic colleagues immediately blamed Bush and his policies, when it was the Democrats who bore the ultimate responsibility. Obama and his Democratic colleagues are still riding the "blame Bush" train and apparently are fooling the majority of Americans. The facts, however, may be misrepresented, but they cannot be altered. The same Democratic socialist philosophy that caused the economic meltdown is guiding the Obama administration as it constructs what it is calling a cure.

Obama's plans for the future offer no cure to the economic doldrums; they most assuredly promise even greater economic disaster.

His view and his every action so far reflect the socialist vision of government control and management of the market, and of every individual.

The cure for economic problems is freedom from government interference and management in the marketplace. Get government out of the way. The free market will find its way to profit and prosperity if government will simply get out of the way.

Democrats are quick to say that the absence of government regulation is what caused the economic meltdown. This diagnosis is incorrect, and the medicine they are prescribing will only worsen the malady.

ODSD: Obama Double Standard Disease ~ By Larry Elder

Larry gives some examples of the contrast in the media bias for Barack Hussein Obama and the treatment of anyone that dissents and doesn't agree with Obama's extreme leftist agenda (like the Tea Party Movement).

It means that the harmful consequences of the exploding welfare state get ignored, trivialized or disputed. It means that "experts," hand-picked and quoted by the media, overwhelmingly support the administration's income-equality agenda. It means that inconvenient news stories – ones that question "bigger and better" government or show there is another side – are downplayed, underreported or dismissed.

Obama Double Standard Disease: an affliction that causes the media to ignore, rationalize or trivialize in order to defend, support and advance the tax-the-rich, spread-the-wealth, expand-the-government agenda of President Barack Obama and his party. This stands in stark contrast with the media treatment of those who refuse to embrace the left-wing, America-bullies-the-world, dissenters-are-racist, pro-amnesty, gay marriage-is-a-right, pro-Roe v. Wade worldview.

ODSD is pandemic. Here are just a few cases.

When the economy recovered under President George W. Bush, the major news media pronounced it a "jobless recovery." Now, despite unemployment stalled at 9.7 percent for several months, the same media call it a "surprising" or "unexpected" recovery.

Obama urged passage of an $800 billion "stimulus" package to prevent unemployment from reaching 8 percent. Post-stimulus passage, unemployment reached 10 percent. Consider how the media would have treated President Bush had he given varying predictions about, and then varying accounts of, the number of jobs supposedly "created or saved" – a laughably unprovable yardstick.

Obama brazenly claims that under his policies, 95 percent of "working Americans" received a "tax cut." But nearly half of American workers pay absolutely nothing in income taxes. And after exemptions, tax credits and other deductions, the Obama tax cut even exceeded many workers' payroll taxes. How does a check, given to someone who pays little or no taxes, become a "tax cut"?

The National Rifle Association backed the 2000 presidential candidacy of George W. Bush. Describing the organization's relationship with Bush as "unbelievably friendly," an NRA official said a Bush victory would mean "a president where we work out of their office." Envisioning then-NRA President Charlton Heston sitting at a fold-out table next to the president's desk, the media pounced.

Typical of the coverage was a Washington Post article with this headline: "The NRA Brags That They'll Work Out Of President GW Bush's Oval Office." The Post pointed out that the NRA gave more than $500,000 in 1999 and 2000 to the GOP and that it expected to spend between $12 million and $15 million more on the 2000 election. These stories elicited a denial of undue influence from the Bush camp: "Neither the NRA nor any special interest sets the governor's agenda."

The Service Employees International Union, to elect Obama and other Democrats in 2008, spent $85 million. And in support of corporate bailouts, Obamacare and higher taxes to "spread the wealth differently," SEIU President Andy Stern said, "Western Europe, as much as we used to make fun of it, has made different trade-offs which may have ended with a little more unemployment but a lot more equality."

NBC's Matt Lauer did not ask Obama about the incredible willingness of the SEIU – his biggest financial supporter – to accept fewer jobs for "a lot more equality." CBS' Katie Couric did no story on the union's admission that higher taxes mean fewer jobs. No Washington Post editorial page asked how Stern's "trade-off" of fewer jobs squares with what Obama said about the importance of creating jobs: "That's the single most important thing we can do."

Obama Justice Department shut down ACORN probe

Don't worry, folks, it's just your normal Chicago-style political thugocracy. That is why I inserted the OBAMACORN logo into this post. It is the symbol of the Obama-ACORN alliance, and what could keep us from ever having another election that isn't tainted with the corruption, and leads right back to the man sitting in the Oval Office.

"These documents reflect systematic voter registration fraud by ACORN," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "It is a scandal that there has been no comprehensive criminal investigation and prosecution by the Justice Department into this evident criminal conduct."


He added, "Given President Obama's close connections to ACORN, including his campaign's hiring of the ACORN's Project Vote organization, it seems rather obvious why Attorney General Holder has failed to seriously investigate these and other alleged ACORN criminal activities."

FBI documents 'reflect systematic voter registration fraud'

A nonpartisan, political watchdog group announced today that it has obtained documents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation detailing federal investigations into the alleged corrupt activities of Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN.

Judicial Watch revealed that the documents it acquired reference serious allegations of corruption and voter registration fraud by ACORN and the Obama administration's decision to shut down the criminal investigation without filing criminal charges.

Included among the records are two complaints filed in October 2008 by Lucy Corelli and Joseph Borges, Republican Registrars of Voters in Stamford and Bridgeport, Connecticut, respectively, during the 2008 election year.

Corelli reported that on Aug. 1, 2008, her office accessed 1,200 ACORN voter registration cards from the secretary of state's office – of which, 300 cards were rejected due to "duplicates, underage, illegible and invalid addresses." She said the invalid cards "put a tremendous strain on our office staff and caused endless work hours at taxpayers' expense." Judicial Watch reports Corelli claimed the additional work caused by ACORN corruption cost $20,000.

According to the documents, Borges stated, "The organization ACORN during the summer of 2008 conducted a registration drive which has produced over 100 rejections due to incomplete forms and individuals who are not citizens. …"

Borges reported that ACORN even registered a 7-year-old child to vote by using a forged signature and fake birth certificate claiming she was 27 years old.

The FBI and Department of Justice opened an investigation. But Judicial Watch noted that the Obama Justice Department, while acknowledging that ACORN had engaged in "questionable hiring and training practices," closed the investigation in March 2009, claiming ACORN had broken no laws.

Beck's assessment was based on instructions contained in "Rules for Radicals," the Saul Alinsky tome that has been a holy text for President Obama's variety of progressives; this protocol calls for fierce augmentation of goal-oriented actions when threatened or thwarted, rather than falling back and regrouping. And it would appear that Beck – or perhaps Beck and I – were correct. As reported, early this week, Obama released his new $3.8 trillion budget plan, nearly half of which is deficit spending and which includes approximately $1.4 trillion in tax increases on businesses and "the wealthy."

Our economy has lost 7 million jobs over the last two years. And our government is deeply in debt. – President Obama, Feb. 1, 2010

This reality somehow renders all of the spending a perfectly rational and prudent course of action, I suppose. Obviously I'm being facetious, but one would think that given the Brown win, Republican gubernatorial wins in Virginia and New Jersey, and the ongoing battle within his own party over health-care reform legislation, Obama might have revising his budget or delaying its release. But he didn't. He unveiled it with a flourish, and on schedule, warts and all. Like in the stimulus bill of 2009, no doubt there will be billions in sheer, shameless waste, billions going to phantom ZIP codes, earmarks and pork, and untraceable billions that will find their way into the hands of Obama cronies (such as ACORN and SEIU), unions and uber-progressive states. Bob Creamer, Architect of ObamaCare, and His Pattern of Corruption

During the period when Creamer was running Strategic Consulting Group the firm served as the primary vendor for several identically-structured campaign committees formed for the express purpose of supporting Democrat candidacies in circumvention of federal campaign laws. Of Creamer’s 10-point plan, number 5 is:

To have a movement that both deals with that fact [that health care reform should be personal] and creates a movement we have to have two elements. In a lot of campaigns we run are either about a populist kind of message and feel because it’s about people’s pocketbooks and needs directly. Or it has a moral dimension that is inspirational and empowering – the civil rights movement, for instance. This movement needs to have both. To have a movement, to mobilize people, to inspire people, you have to appeal to their sense of meaning and purpose and something important. So we have to create a sense that this is a historic battle. This is about you’re being part of something that will make you meaningful. (emphasis added)

If there is a legitimate crisis, does the “sense” really need to be “created?” Or are Creamer, Healthcare for America Now, SEIU, ACORN and others creating a problem to suit meet their ends? Then he talked about the campaign and how to defeat their opponents.

We have to spend a lot of time particularly now, in this next year, going after our principle adversary here: the private insurance industry. … We need to reduce the credibility of the private insurance industry as, I mean, let’s be honest, right? Twenty five percent of America’s health care costs go to administration and advertising. … This is a political campaign. We need to bring down the positives and bring up the negatives of our opponents. And the private insurance industry is our opponent in this battle. (emphasis added)

• A shortage of well-paying, productive jobs actually making things: This is because of a combination of environmental rules and regulations, government red tape and corporate taxes that make it easier to ship jobs overseas. If you think it's bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet. Americans also have to compete now with illegal aliens for employment because the government refuses to do something it actually has a responsibility to do – control the borders.

• You will be told what you can drive and what you can't: This is part of the government's power grab under the rubric of "climate change." Carbon dioxide, a naturally occurring gas vital to all living things, has been determined to be the biggest hazard on the planet – responsible for "global warming" apparently impossible to detect with thermometers, but only through computer modeling. A side effect of this plan is even fewer productive jobs.

• You will be told what medical procedures you can have and which you can't have: The government will soon be a middleman between you and your doctor. Even your hard-earned money, if you have any, will be useless in persuading doctors in this country to treat you.

• Your vote will be meaningless: Of course, systems like these cannot be mandated in a country in which politicians are accountable to the people, so the power of your vote will need to be watered down by giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens who, in turn, will vote for their benefactors, returning them to office. In addition, criminal organizations like ACORN will be funded by the government and probably placed in charge of elections – if elections are permitted to take place at all.

• Your guns will be taken away: Tyrannical regimes can only survive in countries in which the government maintains a monopoly on force.

ACORN sues government for stripping funding after scandal

The lawsuit, filed in Brooklyn Federal Court, seeks to lift a funding ban put into effect on Oct. 1 in the wake of national outrage over the embarassing scandal. ACORN staffers were captured on hidden cameras at several offices nationwide, including in Brooklyn, advising the couple to hide their income. "The charges leveled against ACORN by members of Congress such as that it is a 'criminal enterprise,' or a 'corrupt and criminal organization,' or a 'crooked bunch' are false," the complaint said. The complaint does not specify how much money the group has lost because of the ban. Jules Lobel, a lawyer for the Center for Constitutional Rights, which is representing ACORN, said the group's rights were violated because the federal funding went into effect before any investigation was completed. A United States senator stood up and said the next census will be a fraud on the American people. Louisiana Sen. David Vitter set off a firestorm recently when he introduced an amendment proposing that the upcoming census ask respondents if they are U.S. citizens, and if not, if they are here as Legal Permanent Residents. Under his amendment, the census would count all persons, but illegal aliens, tourists, foreign students or other temporary visitors would not be included for the purpose of the congressional apportionment or divvying up federal funds. This seems like common sense to most Americans, but in fact, illegal aliens and millions of others here on a temporary basis have traditionally been included in the census count. This was not a big problem in past decades while those numbers were small, but today, we have over 30 million persons in the country who are neither citizens nor Legal Permanent Residents ("green card holders"). Counting these millions of non-citizens as equal to citizens for all census purposes seriously distorts our nation's politics and government. How so? States with high numbers of illegal aliens profit by gaining more congressional seats and more federal grant monies. This creates a perverse incentive for states to attract illegal aliens to increase their clout in Congress and their share of federal funds. By the same token, states with laws discouraging illegal aliens from taking up residence are penalized by losing representation in Congress. In September, Sens. Bennett, Enzi and others proposed a new law to fix the problem, the Fairness in Representation Act, but the Democrats who control the Senate have not allowed a hearing on the proposal. The New York Times called the proposal for redoing the questionnaire for the 2010 census "ridiculously expensive." But curiously, they don't object to the Census Bureau's $300 million dollar campaign to encourage illegal aliens and other non-citizens to participate in the census. Nor do they object to the extra money spent for bilingual forms, Spanish language public service announcements and funds given to far-left groups to set up "Census Information Centers." Rather than simply complaining about the MSM’s negligence on the story, here are some loose ends the media ignored, from our footage alone, that warrant attention. With regard to the children:

• Baltimore- Why no mention of the toddlers that were in the room while James and I were being counseled on how to manage our underage prostitution ring?

• San Bernardino- The content of this video was largely ignored except for the part where ACORN worker Tresa Kaelke mentions she shot her husband. What about when she told us not to educate our sex-slaves because they won’t want to work for us? Or when we talked about making money off of clients who would physically abuse the girls? What about the whole transport-the-girls-in-a-school-bus-to-avoid-suspicion discussion?

After all, they were doing the media's work – the work the media had failed to do for so long, as this corrosive and corrupt gangster organization got fatter and meaner while collecting hundreds of millions from taxpayers. Instead of welcoming O'Keefe and Giles into the fraternity and giving them awards for courage and making job offers, the media were downright hostile to the pair. They weren't asked how they did it. They weren't even asked why they did it. They weren't asked about the objects of their sting. There was little outrage or even concern expressed about ACORN officials willingly participating in exploiting under-age foreign girls as prostitutes or their eagerness to break other laws. What did the media want to know about the ACORN tapes? They wanted to know if O'Keefe, the 25-year-old mastermind of the operation, had been trained at the infamous Leadership Institute, a conservative political organization in Washington. It was as if his motivations were somehow the issue. Who cares where he was trained? It's not like they taught Obi Won Kenobi Jedi-style mind control tricks at the Leadership Institute. But that's the point. To most of my colleagues in the media, it's perfectly all right to lie about what Rush Limbaugh says and believes. It's just not OK to give ACORN members an opportunity to reveal the kind of monsters they truly are. I'm ashamed of my profession. The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act was supposedly designed to combat organized crime. But it has been misused widely by politicians to go after political enemies. Yet, if there were ever a time and target to use its sweeping powers, the time is now and the target is ACORN. It has been two weeks since the shocking undercover video work of James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles was released to the world. Those videos reveal beyond any shadow of a doubt that ACORN is the very definition of a "corrupt organization." Furthermore, they demonstrated clearly that ACORN officials in several cities are more than willing to get involved in the most heinous kind of criminal activity – up to and including murder and white slavery rings involving the exploitation of helpless underage foreign minors. Nevertheless, since the astonishing sting operations were made public, no charges have been filed against ACORN, though lawsuits against O'Keefe and Giles have been filed by ACORN. Last week, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said any official investigations of ACORN by Congress might distract attention from more important issues – like railroading socialized medicine down the throats of the American people and spending money faster and more recklessly than drunken sailors could ever imagine. Gee, I wonder why? Could it have anything to do with the fact that Reid needs ACORN's fraudulent voter registration program to have a fighting chance for re-election? Larry Lomax, Nevada's Clark County registrar of voters, reported last year he saw "rampant fraud" in the 2,000 to 3,000 registrations ACORN turned in every week. He said 48 percent of them were "clearly fraudulent." For instance, ACORN turned in registrations in Nevada last year the entire starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys. There is the internet, and now, the social media such as twitter, facebook, myspace, digg, blogs, and anywhere else the word gets out. You can no longer depend on the local newspapers to discern which stories actually make it to print. And, oh gosh, the newspapers aren't doing all that well, either. The "Sheople" are opening up to the internet, and they find out things that may not have been easy for them to find out before. It must have been a coincidence this morning. First, there was the story about the Senators that voted against defunding the corrupt ACORN. Next thing you know, here comes a story about you, Senator, thinking that using twitter would be a way to be able to communicate with your constituents. True, it is, if you were willing to use it that way. But, no, instead, it's a one-way communication; a monologue rather than a dialog. But I understand. Even with just over 500 followers on my twitter account, there is no way I can respond to ALL of them. However, Senator, it should not be all that difficult to learn that you can communicate with a few of us out here in the state that you represent, and that can make a difference. Do not allow yourself to be like the Senators mentioned in the video (I won't mention any names, but you know who you are). Just do some work as our representative, and use your resources to make sure that your constituents KNOW that you are thinking about them. Do you hear me now, Senator? And, by the way, if I could have your ear for a few moments, I'm sure that there are things that I can point out to you that you may want to know what the "sheople" want.
