If you have any hopes of keeping up with what our radical in chief (credit to Stanley Kurtz for the title of his eye-opening book) is really up to, you owe it to yourself to totally ignore everything he says and watch closely everything he does. It isn't an easy task, since most of what he does to continue moving America toward bankruptcy, collectivism and servitude goes unreported by the left-wing press.

For anyone still believing that Barack Obama (Obamessiah, as Mr. Ringer calls him) could ever move to the center, they obviously haven't been paying attention. As Robert says in the paragraph above, it will important to watch Obama's actions very closely over the next two years, and not to expect any help from the left-wing media in doing so.

From the standpoint of those who like the idea of the America the Founding Fathers envisioned, the polls continue to be discouraging with regard to Barack Obama's popularity. Conservatives have been talking about "Obama's rapidly deteriorating poll numbers" for two years now, and, although the numbers do occasionally move a few percentages, the fact is that he has what appears to be a permanent lock on approximately 40 percent of the voters.

As I've said so often, you have to totally write off roughly 30 percent of the population, those who actually want the United States to be transformed into a collectivist utopia. And probably 10 percent or so of that 30 percent is radical enough to openly use the word communism in lieu of such euphemisms as progressivism and socialism.

Yet, in a society now obsessed with "hate speech," we are not allowed to use a term like communism, even when people say things like "When you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody" or "Someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more." After all, we don't want to be accused of causing Chris Matthews to tinkle on his own leg.

For more than three years, most of the media and a significant percentage of the voting population have been playing the let's pretend game – meaning, let's pretend we don't really know what's happening and that the Obamessiah is a middle-of-the-road guy at heart. They ignore the fact that Barack Obama has appointed radical leftists such as Cass Sunstein, John Holdren, Donald Berwick, Anita Dunn, Van Jones, Mark Lloyd … the list of goes on and on … to positions that give (or gave) them the opportunity to have a major impact on policies that affect every American.

Within a week after Barack Obama was sworn in, I wrote an article in which I stated my belief that he would move swiftly to make good on his promise to fundamentally change America. He did not disappoint. If you look at Obama's track record from the perspective of someone intent on imposing the dreams of his father on the United States of America, it has been a rousing success.

Giving the man his due credit, he has been relentless. He did not allow Congress, the Constitution or the will of the people to stand in his way. From his days as a young boy learning at the knee of communist Frank Marshall Davis in Hawaii to his 20 years of listening, week in and week out, to Jeremiah Wright's hate-America sermons, he has been a totally committed redistributionist.

Obama team's media blackout ~ By David Limbaugh

I was so happy to be reading David Limbaugh's column a few minutes ago. It was like a breath of fresh air. I read it immediately after reading that toxic garbage written by Bill Press, and it really did help to neutralize all that acid that was building up in my stomach. It helped to clear my mind. It lifted my spirits.

David's explanation of why the handlers like Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod need to keep Obama close to the teleprompter, and on script, was excellent. There are a few points that David made that I am sure you will catch, and his highly intelligent analysis will explain the media "blackout."

He might as well have just directly said it: "I don't like the free flow of information in the new media, which tends to impede the advancement of my agenda, which depends on keeping the public in the dark."

That is exactly the philosophy of his appointed "diversity czar," Mark Lloyd, who idolizes Hugo Chavez and believes freedom of speech must be subordinated to the left's "greater" societal goals, and of his Supreme Court nominee, Elena Kagan, who complained about the "overabundance" of ideas that might require government action to "un-skew."

Think about it: Without Rush Limbaugh and the rest of the New Media shining the light of truth daily, populist lies, such as that the Arizona law is racist and discriminatory, might go unchallenged.

The "most open and transparent" president in American history is still playing hide-and-seek with the press, and even the liberal New York Times has begun to notice it, as indicated by this headline: "Obama Turns His Back On the Press."

If the mainstream media were not so ideologically wedded to Obama's big-government agenda, they would be doing more than pointing out his secrecy and hypocrisy with the occasional headline. They'd be skewering him daily for his marked inaccessibility. Not having a genuine news conference since July would be remarkable for the least transparent administration, let alone one that made openness a signature campaign issue.

But not everyone in the leftist press is exercising such restraint about Obama's media blackout. CBS News' Chip Reid decided to ask Obama a question following his signing of the Freedom of the Press Act. Doing his best Hugo Chavez, Obama said, "I'm not doing a press conference today, but we'll be seeing you guys during the course of this week."

HotAirPundit posted a video of Reid explaining that he asked the question because the irony of Obama's signing the Freedom of the Press Act while rarely fielding questions "in impromptu situations" was "too rich to resist." Reid asked, "Mr. President, in the interest of press freedom, might you consider a couple of questions on BP?"

When Reid took Obama up on his noncommittal pledge and tried to ask him a question at the Rose Garden "news conference" with the president of Mexico a few days later, Obama ignored him.

This should surprise no one. A case could be made that Obama's never had a news conference that he hasn't largely controlled. He and his handlers, from David Axelrod to Rahm Emanuel, understand the importance of managing the press to control the message in the interest of advancing the leftist agenda.

They know that their statist goal of greatly expanding government depends on Obama's not revealing any more than necessary how radical to the core he actually is, because true transparency about his real agenda would be suicidal.

But his handlers also realize, even if Obama doesn't, that the less scripted he is the more difficult it is to manage the message. And they understand that he ought not be allowed to venture too far from the teleprompter very often, lest he demonstrate that his manufactured reputation both for eloquence and wisdom are, well, manufactured. Oh, yes, and don't let me forget those manufactured bipartisan myths, but surely no one is clueless enough to pay any attention to those anymore.

Like millions of other Americans, he saw the liberal bias in the media, but what made him different is that he had the financial wherewithal to do something about it. In 1996, Murdoch, through his flagship company [N]ews Corporation, started Fox News as an alternative to CNN's addictive liberal coating of the news. And, in what has proven to be a stroke of genius, he hired Roger Ailes as the man to run his new enterprise. Ailes is staunchly conservative, daring and one of those guys who seems to have been born with the Midas touch. While you're at it, you can add him to my list of the greatest American living heroes. Once Fox News was launched, it didn't take the world long to realize a heretofore well-hidden fact: Most Americans have conservative values. Fox was a dagger in the hearts of left-wing anchormen who had long ago become used to creating their own news stories by leaving out pertinent facts and adding in knowingly false information – and, often, simply ignoring news items altogether that didn't fit in with their liberal agenda. The CNN-Fox News war was over within a couple of years, and today it's become a virtual bloodbath. Without government intervention – like that proposed by FCC "Chief Diversity Officer" Mark Lloyd – it's hard to imagine how CNN, CNBC and MSNBC can continue in business indefinitely. Even the three major networks are getting financially clobbered, yet they stubbornly cling to their left-wing agendas, choosing – like Congress and Obama – to ignore the desires of a majority of American viewers and voters. So far, so good. But a few years ago, I dared to ask the question, "What happens when Rupert Murdoch (who will be 79 in March) dies?" Ditto when Roger Ailes passes on or retires. All manner of parasites, vermin, roaches, rats, worms and termites find their way into the building. Long before they're detected, they infiltrate the walls, the floors, the roofs – and then chew their way into the structure, the supporting beams and the very foundation of the house itself. Silently, surreptitiously, whole communities of invaders make places for themselves, hidden but thriving, totally unknown by the homeowner. Then, in time, tell-tale signs are seen. Little droppings, discolored trails, proliferating piles of residue appear in corners, on tabletops, little hanging sacs from ceilings – alarming evidence that the grand old dwelling has been invaded. Decidedly unwelcome creatures have made this place their home, and by their very existence will eventually destroy the house and bring it to ruin. What can be done, when you learn that your house has already been invaded? Well, the tried and true remedy is tenting. Experts come in, actually envelope the whole dwelling in a giant tent – and send a very powerful fumigant, lethal to the varmints and unwelcome creatures, into every nook and cranny of the house. Done thoroughly, every last destructive insect or rodent is sent to varmint hell – and in a day or two, the grand house is habitable again. I believe – figuratively, but in a very real way – we need to tent the White House! For reasons only he can explain, the current occupant has purposely brought a whole flock of social and political voracious varmints with him into our House. He doesn't own it; he hasn't even rented it; we the people have simply given him the keys and invited him to live there for four years, making it convenient to serve us better, to carry out our expressed wishes for our country. To the dismay of millions of us, this occupant seems to think we need an emperor. Even though all polls show that the majority of Americans don't want a whole new government-run health-care system, detest the trillions of dollars in un-payable debt he has foisted on us, question the whole "global warming" scare and disagree with him on many other issues, he boldly announces: "We're going to fundamentally transform America!" And he makes it clear that he is going to cram things down our throats whether we want them or not. Even though he constantly uses the imperial-sounding "I," he knows he can't do it alone. So, he has assembled the most unbelievable coterie of cronies – who buy into his leftist philosophy – to implement and enforce his will on us. Like a very real infestation of termites and rodents, this crew has settled into powerful positions and is already chewing away at the constitutional structure of our government. Out of nowhere, he has created a whole super-layer of "czars" over many crucial functions of our society – with super authority but no accountability to anyone but the temporary occupant. Who gave him this right? Don't the people he's supposed to serve have a say in something this ominous? But it's worse. Far worse. So many of the people he's adding to the public payroll and giving unprecedented power to are socialists, extreme leftists and even proud, boastful Marxists. Communists! Their backgrounds and past allegiances are not hidden; they're easily found by anybody who really wants to know. • Now he has launched an orchestrated attack against the only television network that makes a sincere effort at offering balance, Fox News Channel, in an attempt to isolate, demonize and delegitimize the organization because it won't follow suit and join the state-run media. The administration is vacillating between boycotting and allowing some administration officials to appear on the network. Obama singled Fox out as "entirely devoted to attacking my administration." Rahm Emanuel said it's "not a news organization so much as it has a perspective." David Axelrod said, "It's really not news; it's pushing a point of view." Axelrod implored ABC's George Stephanopoulos and his network "not to treat (Fox) as a news organization." White House communications director Anita Dunn, who has bragged about her success at controlling the media, said Fox is "like a wing of the Republican Party" that "spouts Republican talking points."

It must have been by a perceived divine right that Obama named Steve Rattner to be car czar to oversee the government takeover of Chrysler and General Motors; there is certainly no authority in the Constitution for the president to take such action. Rattner, with the blessing of king Obama, set out to punish his king's opponents and reward his king's supporters. Of the 789 Chrysler dealers closed by Rattner, 788 had contributed exclusively to Republican candidates. Moreover, not one of a string of Chrysler dealerships owned by Obama supporters Robert Johnson and Mack McClarty was closed, but virtually all of the dealerships that competed with the Johnson-McClarty chain were closed. Chrysler president Jim Press said: "It really wasn't Chrysler's decision." Rattner resigned July 13 in the face of a multi-million dollar pay-for-play scandal in New York. Another of the king's men, Van Jones, bit the dust when the public learned that he was a self-proclaimed communist who signed a petition calling for the investigation of the Bush administration for complicity in the 9/11 tragedy. These views were perfectly all right with the king, whose chief adviser, Valerie Jarrett, said, "… we've been watching him as long as he's been active. …" Jones' radical ideas were fine with the king, until the public expressed its dissatisfaction. There is the internet, and now, the social media such as twitter, facebook, myspace, digg, blogs, and anywhere else the word gets out. You can no longer depend on the local newspapers to discern which stories actually make it to print. And, oh gosh, the newspapers aren't doing all that well, either. The "Sheople" are opening up to the internet, and they find out things that may not have been easy for them to find out before. It must have been a coincidence this morning. First, there was the story about the Senators that voted against defunding the corrupt ACORN. Next thing you know, here comes a story about you, Senator, thinking that using twitter would be a way to be able to communicate with your constituents. True, it is, if you were willing to use it that way. But, no, instead, it's a one-way communication; a monologue rather than a dialog. But I understand. Even with just over 500 followers on my twitter account, there is no way I can respond to ALL of them. However, Senator, it should not be all that difficult to learn that you can communicate with a few of us out here in the state that you represent, and that can make a difference. Do not allow yourself to be like the Senators mentioned in the video (I won't mention any names, but you know who you are). Just do some work as our representative, and use your resources to make sure that your constituents KNOW that you are thinking about them. Do you hear me now, Senator? And, by the way, if I could have your ear for a few moments, I'm sure that there are things that I can point out to you that you may want to know what the "sheople" want. Back in April, we warned you of Obama's incipient Internet Tyranny, and since then these pages have several times sounded the clarion call concerning Barack Hussein Obama's leftist totalitarianism. The Obama administration grows more brazen with each passing day, and the radical leftists, racists and Marxists with whom Obama surrounds himself no longer feel they must hide their ideologies. The administration that urged citizens to inform on their fellow Americans for thought crimes, for daring to question Obama's attempt to nationalize the health-care industry (while lying to you about the cost, about the impact on your health-care choices and about Obama's own intentions for the plan), has continued its inexorable march toward an American police state, grinning broadly into the television cameras while gesturing sharply for the apprehension and public shaming of all who would question Obama's might. Our brittle, oversensitive president cannot abide criticism, you see; a clown face on a posted bill or on a T-shirt sets him and his supporters to grinding their teeth over imagined racism, while his minions dream up ever more "code words" to place on the contraindicated speech lists. Every word and deed taken by the administration is an attempt both to strengthen its breathtaking power grabs and to silence any opposition to those actions, shutting down its critics directly or condemning those critics in the court of public opinion. If you can wrongly redefine your political opposition as racist, as terrorists, as dangerous, why, you can easily marginalize any and all dissent – and then crush it with naked force while claiming you're merely keeping the populace safe. This is the drive behind redefining all of Obama's opponents as domestic terrorists, and this is why any left standing are declared to be racist hatemongers who simply don't like Obama because he happens to be black. That's the fear of Fox News anchor Glenn Beck who discussed the issue at length today with another broadcasting powerhouse, radio's Rush Limbaugh. "I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought," Beck said. His comment came as he was analyzing the changing nature of the media since Obama's election, citing the administration's close ties with the NBC network, owned by corporate giant General Electric:

If you watch what could only be called the administration's organ – anything involved with GE or NBC – you've got [GE CEO] Jeffrey Immelt on the board of the Federal Reserve, you have him in the Oval Office consulting not only on health care, but the financial situation, and they are an organ. If you watch MSNBC, I contend that you will see the future because they are laying the ground for a horrible event ... anything from the right, there's some awful event and I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought.
