Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Thursday, Feb 2, 2012

Let's begin this post with an excerpt from the latest Daily Motivator, "The richness of today," (Thursday, Feb 2, 2012):

Live this day fully, by applying your effort and focus in meaningful and effective ways. By doing so, you will make the richness of today an enduring part of your life.

Drop your meaningless pretenses and useless worries about the future, and put your energy into living the richness of what is right now. Feel the great opportunity that is in front of you, and make it uniquely yours.

While it is still here, bring today’s richness into your life. And make this day one you can look back upon with satisfaction and immense gratitude.

~ Ralph Marston
I just spent the whole day of February 1 to prepare this post. I felt there was a lot of work to do after my long absence over the last 10 days due to medical needs. There is only one thing that I had to keep in mind: There is no way to retrieve all of the information that I missed, and still know what is going on NOW. "Catching up" is not an option.

Many hours could have been spent in just covering the results of the GOP primary in Florida. Thus, I used my twitter and facebook accounts to bring attention to information that I felt was relevant when producing a full post here would take more time than I had available.

At any rate, I felt compelled over the last 24 hours to do all I could with today's WIFLI, so that I didn't allow "meaningless pretenses and useless worries about the future" to hold me back. They didn't, as you will soon see. I'm just sayin'...

Farah on Fox TV: Rubio not a natural-born citizen
'We've been through this with Obama now for 4 years'
From WND ~ by Joe Kovacs ~ Published Jan 31, 2012

Sen. Marco Rubio, (R-FL)
Moments after Mitt Romney’s landslide victory in the Florida Republican Primary, WND Editor Joseph Farah declared on national television that Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio would not be a good selection for vice president because he’s not a natural-born citizen of the U.S., and therefore is not legally qualified to hold the office.

“Rubio’s not eligible … because he’s not a natural-born citizen,” Farah told Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel.

Farah’s comment came during discussion about GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who finished third in Florida with 13 percent of the vote, behind Romney’s 46 percent and Newt Gingrich’s 32 percent.

JOSEPH FARAH
“Well, I think Santorum’s doing one of two things,” Farah explained. “I think he’s either trying to position himself as, ‘There’s no mud on me and I’m a bonafide conservative,’ and maybe that’s going to propel him to the front of the race. Or that other thing that had crossed my mind when he was really talking about Newt criticizing Romney, the thought occurred to me, ‘Is he trying to position himself for a vice-presidential candidacy there?’”

Hannity responded, “I think that’s taken. I think it’s gonna be Rubio. That’s my guess.”

“If it’s not, somebody’s lost their mind,” added Democratic strategist Bob Beckel.

“Rubio’s not eligible,” Farah interjected. “You’re going to lose 10 percent of the Republican vote because he’s not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years. You want to open that can of worms again?"

“I don’t believe that’s going to work,” Hannity said.

Exclusive: Erik Rush figures Obama team has contingency should eligibility issue blow up
From WND Commentary ~ By Erik Rush ~ Published Feb 1, 2012

By the end of this past weekend, it had become apparent to astute voyagers in cyberspace that references to Obama mentor Saul Alinsky were being scrubbed from the Web. At the same time, it was reported that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had floated the air biscuit vis-à-vis her resignation as secretary of state, supposedly due to the rigors of her job. On Jan. 24, a low-profile news story ran concerning joint police and military drills scheduled to be held in downtown Los Angeles. These would be designed to “ensure the military’s ability to operate in urban environments, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments, and meet mandatory training certification requirements,” according to the LAPD.

I’m not going to question precisely who does the scrubbing when people reference scrubbing of the Web, belabor the slim chance that Hillary (of all people) would ever resign due to stress, or rail over why the establishment press sat still for a “not to worry” answer from government over military drills in a major civilian area. Most of the readers of this space could come up with viable assessments of these things before I could finish typing this sentence. My aim here – aside from citing the curious nature of all these occurring in such close temporal proximity – is something altogether different.

The "Why I Hate Religion" Controversy Explored

By John Kubicek ~ Wednesday, February 1, 2012

In a way, I'm not a big fan of the word, "religion." The word can mean so many different things to people. In fact, it's right up there with "politics." Both words lead to great debates just because the words both bring about different opinions, which lead to debate, which leads to arguments and the inability for all of us to just get along.

Time 2 Escape Daily for Tuesday, Jan 10, 2012

As I am finishing the production of this issue, Rush Limbaugh is defending what he said yesterday that sparked the lead column in today's issue. The topic of today turns out to be whether some of the Republicans have begun an anti-capitalist theme in order to defeat Romney... I don't know what they think they are doing. Are you kidding me? Aren't the Republican candidates supposed to be trying to impress the Tea Party wing of the GOP rather than the Occupy Wall Street wing of the Communist Party?

Well, of course, most of today's columns that I've linked to will help explain why I'm a little ticked off that Republicans are eating their own, and using Progressive talking points to do so.

But yet, I think you might see a correlation between the first of the links on this page to the very last one, because I did. What Ralph Marston wrote in his Daily Motivator was very relevant to every one of the columns listed here today... especially the one about the Sacketts, a story that is about the amount of unconstitutional authority that had been allowed to a federal agency. Now that this story is out, more people will start waking up. As Ralph Marston suggests, "Instead, use this moment to break the pattern."

I could have posted this edition late last night, but I anticipated that many of you were busy watching the football game, because I was. I'm just sayin'...

Rush Limbaugh predicts 2012 outcome
Radio host says pollsters wrong about presidential race
From WND ~ By Joe Kovacs ~ Published Monday, Jan 9, 2012

RUSH LIMBAUGH
PALM BEACH, Fla. – While polls across America show Barack Obama in a tight race for president with potential Republican nominees, top-rated radio host Rush Limbaugh doesn’t think the outcome of the race will even be close.

“If the election were today, it would be a landslide loss,” Limbaugh said this afternoon. “Let me define landslide: five to seven points. It’d be big. It would be huge.”

“Make no mistake about it,” he continued. “Of this I am as confident as anything. I know it’s not reflected anywhere else in the media and it’s not reflected too many other places in conservative media. But I’m telling you, he’s toast. Just as Jimmy Carter was toast, and nobody knew it until election night [in 1980]."    READ MORE

WND Exclusive ~ Supremes: EPA actions ‘outrageous’
Argument comes in dispute over agency threats to Idaho family
From WND ~ By Bob Unruh ~ Posted Monday, Jan 9, 2012

The government’s actions in a dispute between the Environmental Protection Agency and a husband and wife targeted by the agency when they bought a residential lot in Idaho and started building their dream home are both “outrageous” and “very strange.”

There were comments today from justices on the U.S. Supreme Court about the Environmental Protection Agency’s actions in a fight with Mike and Chantell Sackett, of Priest Lake, Idaho.

Mike and Chantell Sackett
Their case began in 2005 when the Sacketts were working on their dream home. Their land, purchased for $23,000, is about two-thirds of an acre and is about 500 feet from the water in Priest Lake, Idaho. Houses are on the surrounding lots and their land lacked standing water or a creek. They obtained all the needed county permits for their work.

But while they were working on foundation preparations, the EPA agents arrived, claimed the property is “wetlands” and ordered them to stop work and launch a full restoration project that even included installing plants that were not native – at their own expense. They were told after they guarded the land for several years they would be allowed to pay $250,000 to request permission to complete their home.

HERMAN CAIN
Our nation is plagued with crises. We have an economic crisis, a spending crisis, a big-government crisis, an energy crisis, an immigration crisis, a foggy foreign policy crisis, an assault on the Constitution crisis and a moral crisis.

President Obama blames the Bush administration, the Republicans in Congress, big business, rich people and even the American people by saying in essence that we have lost our optimism. That’s what happens, Mr. President, when we have a leadership crisis in the White House.

Sadly, polls consistently show that President Obama has about a 45 percent job approval rating. These 45 percent must be some of the most clueless people on earth, or they have been living in a cave for the last three years. The other option is that they have drunk so much of the Obama Kool-Aid that they do not want to know the truth.   READ MORE

Democratic hopes for 2012 hence hinge on that party’s ability to portray the Republican alternative as unacceptable if not intolerable. And the Republicans have begun to play into that script.  READ MORE

Rush Limbaugh predicts: Marco Rubio will be president

Joe Kovacs reports on Rush Limbaugh's statements regarding Marco Rubio and the success of Conservatives in the Republican Party and failures of the moderate Republicans. However, Kovacs reports, not mentioned by Limbaugh is that Rubio's Constitutional eligibility to be President is in question. Would that be a problem if Rubio is nominated for the Vice President side of the GOP ticket?

PALM BEACH, Fla. – Even though he's not running for the presidency and may not even be eligible for it, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida will someday hold the highest office in the land, according to talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh.

U. S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)
The top-rated political analyst made the prediction this afternoon while making a point about sticking to candidates with conservative purity instead of promoting moderate Republicans.

"You want conservative purity," said Limbaugh, "I'll give it to you: Marco Rubio, who is someday going to be president of the United States."

He made the statement as part of an in-depth discussion on whether conservatives should remain faithful to their values, or become more moderate.

He cited Rubio, an unabashed conservative, who defeated former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, often described as a moderate, in the race for U.S. Senate.

26-AUG-11 Edition: News media taking stance on Marco Rubio eligibility

In a speech last night at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., Rubio reportedly received laughter as he clowned, "I have no interest in serving as vice president for anyone who could possibly live all eight years of the presidency."

"What happens in politics is the minute you start thinking there's something else out there for you, it starts affecting everything you do," he added. "The reality of it is I'm not going to be the vice presidential nominee, but I look forward to working with whoever our nominee is."

Well, there goes my dream ticket for 2012 of Herman Cain and Marco Rubio! It doesn't sound like Senator Rubio is interested in being on the GOP ticket in the VP position. It may be that Rubio understands and respects the Constitution and does not want to have any questionable Constitutional issues facing him and the possible next President of the United States.

Maybe it is time to clearly define eligibility, in today's terms, in a Constitutional Amendment. There are just too many opinions regarding the definition of "natural born citizen," and the issue continues to grow in complexity and vagueness.

Until the matter of Constitutional eligibility is definitely settled, we may have to keep this Senator from Florida in the wings. It's sad, because he'd be a great running mate with my favorite Republican candidate, Herman Cain.

Think about what I just wrote above while you watch the following segment from Hannity:

News media taking stance on Marco Rubio eligibility

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)
MIAMI, Fla. – Some national news media are declaring that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is a natural-born citizen and thus eligible for the presidency or vice presidency, even though Rubio's constitutional eligibility remains unclear and the popular Florida Republican has himself downplayed any interest in running on a White House ticket.

In a Daily Caller piece today titled "Coming soon: Rubio 'birthers,'" journalist Matt Lewis warns, "There is already a movement afoot (led by some on the fringe) to disqualify him from serving as president (which would presumably disqualify him from serving as vice president). That's right – some are arguing that Rubio is not eligible because he is not a 'natural-born citizen.'"

Rush Limbaugh slammed for 'avoiding' eligibility

Limbaugh then launched into an in-depth lecture of his own role in the ongoing dispute:
[Joined in progress] . . .

RUSH LIMBAUGH
You've got me pegged wrong here. But I deal with what is. I don't deal with what-ifs. "If" is for children. And we've got certain things that are the reality of the day that have to be dealt with, pure and simple, and that's where I am on this. No more and no less. There's no magic wand that can get Obama unelected. You can hope and you can dream but you are locked in a fantasy if that's what you're waiting for. That isn't gonna happen. The focus needs to be on making sure he's not re-elected. But there is no way to unelect the guy. It isn't going to happen. Having said that, oh, yeah, I'm like all of you, I would love for this guy to be a total fraud when it comes to the birth certificates. He's a fraud on practically everything else. If he's born somewhere else, I would love for conclusive proof of that. That would be fun. Just to watch the Democrats and the media. That would be worth the price of admission and whatever they charge for it. But until such things happen, if, when, whatever, there's a reality that has to be dealt with day in and day out. ...

Just in case you didn't notice, I've recently posted quite a few stories to this blog that deal with the eligibility issue regarding President Obama. We can thank Donald Trump for ramping up the attention the story is receiving now. And now we can thank "Angela from Arnold, Mo." that called in to the Rush Limbaugh radio program, which lead to Rush saying what he really thinks about the issue.

Angela, the caller, really had it right when she mentioned, "...and if it does turn out that he is not a true citizen, then I think all of you should hang your heads in shame ... " The true shame is that some would not bother to investigate the story, because "there is no way to unelect the guy," Rush stated. "It isn't going to happen."

It ain't pretty. Actually, it is getting downright ugly, because "tea-partiers" are being blamed by both sides for the "birther" issue. The truth is, the eligibility issue began to be reported on (mostly by WND) in the summer of 2008, long before the tea parties got started.  The "birthers" just want the answers, like Angela says. When a few of the media detractors come from the Right, like Rush, Bill O'Reilly, or Glenn Beck, it hurts. And the shame may be that they haven't even tried to investigate so that we can eventually learn the truth.

I hope that Rush is wrong, for once, when he says, "It isn't going to happen.". I would seriously hope that if we ever find out that a person in ANY elected office had committed some kind of fraud to be elected, that person would face the consequences. That should apply to anyone that occupies the Oval Room (between golf games). I'm just sayin'....

Rush Limbaugh slammed for 'avoiding' eligibility
'Not 1 high Republican or you has ever really tried to nail' Obama

JOE KOVACS

By Joe Kovacs

© 2011 WorldNetDaily

Radio giant Rush Limbaugh came under fire today from a caller to his top-rated program accusing the host of avoiding the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility to be president.

"The fact of the matter is that his citizenship has been a suspicious issue from the very beginning," said Angela from Arnold, Mo., "and not one high Republican or you has ever really tried to nail him on this issue, and if it does turn out that he is not a true citizen, then I think all of you should hang your heads in shame because of all the destruction our country has had to suffer ever since he was elected, in spite of being the fraud that we know he probably really is."

Limbaugh asked incredulously, "So you're mad at me?"

"I am furious," Angela responded. "I wanted you and anybody else to go after him on this issue before he was elected. It would have been the easiest way to have stopped him. It would have been a no-brainer. But nobody would. And so he was elected and everything was just hidden under the rug. And now look what we have had ever since. ... If it does turn out that he's not a citizen, I think you should hang your head in shame, because our country has suffered so much."

Limbaugh said irrespective of Obama not having produced his long-form, hospital-specified birth certificate, "I gotta remind you there is no evidence whatsoever Obama was not born in Hawaii. There's something he doesn't want us to see about the birth certificate, but there's nothing to glom onto here other than his reticence in having the birth certificate seen. I am the only one who proclaimed the guy a fraud. I'm the one who did not go along with Obama. I'm the one who said I hope he failed. I'm the guy who took all the arrows for a whole Republican Party and everybody else for suggesting this guy was a fraud and filled with deceit, that he's not who he said he was on the basis of policy and the things that he had planned for this country."

The caller continued to press Limbaugh, saying, "The fact that there was no evidence was the very reason why you should have gone forward. I have evidence that I'm a citizen. Why didn't he have to produce the evidence? Nobody made him do it. Not even you, and you and everyone else should have made him provide the evidence."

Video provided by MrTimotheus85 on Apr 8, 2011

Angela explained her anger stemmed from the fact that real-estate tycoon and potential Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was now doing the job she thought Limbaugh and other GOP types should be doing investigating Obama's background.

Donald wars with Whoopi over Obama's eligibility

Trump noted his skepticism of evidence proffered thus far about Obama's life history, stating, "I grew up in New York. Wall Street was a big part. I have seen fraud and I have seen scandal and I have seen a lot of things that people don't see. I've seen people take a $100 bill and make it a $1,000,000 bill. The point is, I can't rely on some newspaper [birth announcement] that they showed [to prove the president's eligibility]. I want him to show his birth certificate!"

"There's something on his birth certificate he doesn't want to show?" an incredulous Barbara Walters asked. "That's a terrible thing to say."

Okay, I'm not a big fan of Donald Trump. And I had to try very hard to keep from gagging when watching the clip from "The View" in the video below. (And I have never figured out why anyone would want to be on "The View" and having a bunch of screaming liberal women attacking the guest all at the same time. But that's just me.) But, the clip is priceless! Donald really knew how to push their buttons!

Oh, how it was so predictable that the ladies on "The View," being predominately liberal leftists (except for perhaps Elisabeth Hasselbeck), would go so ballistic, especially Whoopi, when Donald brought up the concerns about Obama's birth certificate. As you will see in the video below, they refuse to believe that their Messiah would have anything to hide. And Whoopi seems to think that if Obama was white, or if it was George W. Bush, nobody would be questioning his eligibility.... You get the idea. All "The Donald" wants Obama to do is show his birth certificate in order to quell the questioning from the "birthers."

Trump: 'There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like'

Billionaire developer and potential Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump got into a heated war of words on national television today as he questioned why Barack Obama has not revealed his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to help demonstrate his eligibility for the presidency.

"I want him to show his birth certificate! There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like," said Trump on ABC's "The View."

The comment enraged co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who fired back, "I think that's the biggest pile of dog mess I've heard in ages. It's not 'cause he's black is it?"

"It has nothing to do with that," said Trump.

Goldberg interjected, "Because I've never heard any white president asked to be shown the birth certificate. When you become a president of the United States of America, you know that he's American. I'm sorry, that's B.S."

Discussion of Obama's birth certificate can be seen in the following YouTube video:

"I really believe there's a birth certificate," Trump explained. "Why doesn't he show his birth certificate? And you know what? I wish he would. Because I think it's a terrible pall that's hanging over him. He should show his birth certificate.

"The other thing. If you go back to my first grade, my kindergarten, people remember me. Nobody from those early years remembers him. If you're going to be the president of the United States, it says very profoundly that you have to be born in this country."

Despite egging on by NBC, Boehner won't slam birthers

During this past week's Conservative Political Action Conference, better known as CPAC, freshman Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, clowned that he himself is an American citizen and that he has the birth certificate to prove it.

When Gregory asked Boehner about the appropriateness of the remark, Boehner said, "The gentleman was trying to be funny, I would imagine."
When I saw the segment on "Meet the Depressed" with Speaker John Boehner being badgered by NBC host David Gregory, I had a different take on it than what Joe Kovacs had according to the title of this story. True, the Speaker of the House didn't bash the birthers. But, he didn't defend them, either. Instead, Boehner tried to deflect Gregory's ridicule of the "birthers" by stating that he believed that Obama was born in Hawaii and that he is a Christian. But more than anything, David Gregory gave us a great example of how the liberal mainstream press is using the Saul Alinsky tactic of ridicule when it comes to defending the President. In another video (see just below) that was included in Kovac's story, Gregory does the same thing to House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA).

Despite intense egging on by NBC newsman David Gregory, House Speaker John Boehner refused today to attack people who have doubts about Barack Obama's eligibility for the presidency.

Gregory was pressing the Ohio Republican about a recent focus group of Iowa voters on "Hannity" on the Fox News Channel. Some had said they believe Obama is Muslim, and not Christian.

Gregory, host of "Meet the Press," asked Boehner: "As the speaker of the House, as a leader, do you not think it's your responsibility to stand up to that kind of ignorance?"

"It's not my job to tell the American people what to think," Boehner responded. "Our job in Washington is to listen to the American people. Having said that, the state of Hawaii has said that he was born there. That's good enough for me. The president says he's a Christian. I accept him at his word."

Rush Limbaugh: Send Obama to be head of Egypt

Speaking from the White House last night, President Obama encouraged the Egyptian government to begin a peaceful transition.

"An orderly transition must be meaningful, must be peaceful, and must begin now," said Obama, who also noted it's not the duty of other countries to determine who will lead Egypt. "The Egyptian people can do that," he said.

I was listening to Rush when he was talking about Obama's interference, and possible incitement of further violence, in Egypt. Though I chuckled when I heard it, I wasn't really too surprised to hear Rush Limbaugh make the following statement:
"And don't tell me he can't run for president of Egypt because he wasn't born there. I don't want to hear that. Apparently, he can be president anywhere he wants to be."
When it all comes down to it, there appears to be mounting evidence that Obama does have a role in the "protests" in Egypt, and could even be culpable in regard to the ongoing violence and deaths there because of his actions.

PALM BEACH, Fla. – Radio host Rush Limbaugh took a jab today at President Obama by suggesting the American commander in chief be dispatched to Egypt and become head of state there to deal with ongoing violence.

"Why don't we send Obama over to Egypt to be their president?" Limbaugh asked rhetorically on his program.

"And don't tell me he can't run for president of Egypt because he wasn't born there. I don't want to hear that. Apparently, he can be president anywhere he wants to be. Maybe a movement to get Obama's name on the Egyptian ballot. He likes it over there. I'm halfway serious about this."

Glenn Beck: I should've invested in 'Spider-Man'

I was listening to Glenn Beck on his radio show yesterday (1/12/11) when he was talking about "Spiderman: Turn off the Dark." GLENN BECK
Despite numerous problems including actors being injured and delays in its official opening, the Broadway production of "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," is getting nothing but the highest praise from media giant Glenn Beck who believes the show will be a massive moneymaker for at least the next 20 years.

"Give a kidney to go see 'Spider-Man,'" Beck said today, after having seen a preview performance Saturday. "This is, by far, the best show I've ever seen. When people ask, 'Was it worth the price of the ticket?' Let me answer it this way. This show is not only worth the price of a ticket here on Broadway, which is pricey, it is worth the price of an airline ticket from Los Angeles or Hawaii to come to New York to see it. It is unlike anything I've ever seen. The storyline is fantastic."

"Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark"
is still in its preview phase on Broadway.
Its official opening is scheduled for Feb. 7.

The $50 million production has been receiving some less-than-glowing reviews from critics in the Big Apple who have described it as a "work in progress," but Beck thinks that may have to do with a "snotty" attitude among the artsy elite, who frown upon the comic-book story being brought to stage and music by Bono and the Edge, the singer and lead guitarist for the Irish rock band U2.

"Here's my problem with it," Beck said. "They spent $50 million. It will have to be sold out, every ticket, for two years to break even. My problem with this is I didn't invest. It will run for two decades. ... The only thing that will stop this is the federal government saying it's too risky. I said to my wife when they jumped off the stage and they were fighting, 'Good God, what does the insurance cost? Who is insuring this thing?' And then I realized we own AIG! We are!"

Funniest news stories of 2010 ~ By Joe Kovacs

There are times when we need to take things a little less seriously for a change. Joe Kovacs brings us some very bizarre news of 2010, with a lot of help from Barack Obama, Glenn Beck, and a story about true anthropogenic global warming which of course can only be caused by human flatulence... I can just hear Media Matters' shrill shrieking now!

Be sure to read the full story, as there are many more funny (or should that be "weird"?) news stories that will keep you busy reading and watching videos and of course, laughing!!

Greetings everyone, and welcome to another edition of the news you wish were the news every single day of the year.

I have to admit that 2010 has kind of a dark theme to some of the funniest events, especially concerning President Obama and his personal plague of vermin.

I mean, come on. Have we ever seen a commander in chief with such a magnetic attraction for flies, bees and rats?

White House buzz

Let's start with the fly that just couldn't seem to get enough of Mr. Obama. During a speech by the president June 22, this single insect found Obama's words so enthralling, it just had to become one with the face of "the One."

In fact, despite the president's best efforts to shoo the fly away, the pest made a succesful landing on Obama's face, prompting many websites to dub him "Lord of the Flies."

"Lord of the Flies"
Radio and TV host Glenn Beck remarked: "Does he have nerve endings in his face? Seriously, have you ever had a fly walk across your face and you left it there?"

Now that we know Obama's not a no-fly zone, it's also strange to recall how a swarm of bees delayed his important court business on a basketball court.

According to the Hill, a swarm of "thousands of bees" gathered outside the White House in May. The small army of insects hovered as Obama tried to leave 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to shoot hoop at Fort McNair. And by the time the president returned at noon, the bees were mysteriously nowhere in sight.

Just days later, some sort of rodent scurried in front of the president as he was delivering a speech on the steps of the White House.

To this day, no one has said with absolute certainty what kind of rodent it was that upstaged Obama, but "Today Show" host Al Roker noted, "All we know is, these little Secret Service mice wrestled it to the ground."

And once again, with all the critters showing the president such undying love, Glenn Beck proffered: "At some point, the president's gonna come out and go, 'OK, look, I am lord of the underworld.'"

Is oil catastrophe fulfillment of Genesis prophecy?

Just a weird coincidence? Or is it God's hand? Just sayin'...
Gallups is not alone with the sentiment America could be under a curse from God.

"I believe this is evidence that when you turn your back on Israel, especially when you've been a supporter, you're gonna see judgments come from God," said Hal Lindsey, author of "The Late Great Planet Earth."

"It's finally reaching the point where God is removing His protection from us," he said. "I believe we back away from being a friend to Israel at our peril. We need to come back to be a supporter of one who is so important in God's plan."

Regarding the oil spill specifically, Lindsey said, "I think that this disaster is just one of many disasters. Our country is falling apart economically. The current government is overturning our constitutional republic, turning it into a socialist country. That's about as big a curse as you can get. We just have one catastrophe after another and then we have this big wake-up call in the Gulf."
Video suggests biblical tie with U.S. treatment of Israel, rig explosion

Is there a spiritual, biblical connection to the BP oil catastrophe?

A new video on YouTube is suggesting a possible link to the disaster due to America's recent treatment of Israel, and at least one well-known Bible analyst, Hal Lindsey, thinks there's a valid correlation.

The video was produced and posted today by Carl Gallups of the Hickory Hammock Baptist Church in Milton, Fla., and is embedded here:
EXCLUSIVE! OIL SPILL IN GULF - Hand of God? Connection to Israel?

Video provided by ppsimmons
"April the 19th, Israel celebrates its independence in 2010," Gallups says in narration on the video. "On April the 19th, Fox News reports that the U.S. will no longer automatically support Israel in the United Nations. The next day, on April the 20th, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explodes. Coincidence? Or the hand and judgment of God?"

The minister cites an ancient promise God made to Abraham, the patriarch of the 12 tribes of Israel, one tribe of which is Judah, from which the Jews derive their name.

In the Book of Genesis, God told him, "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse ... ." (Genesis 12:2-3, New International Version)

Its first sentence reads: "The Obama administration is reportedly signaling another major shift in policy towards one of its staunchest allies, Israel, and this shift could change the way it votes at the Security Council. The change would mean an end to the U.S.' use of its veto power in the United Nations Security Council when certain anti-Israel resolutions are introduced for a vote.‪"

Gallups says while he was preparing his radio show, he wondered what else happened in the time frame of the rig explosion, to see if there was any connection to anything biblical at all.

He found the Fox News article dated April 19, and said what's significant about the date is that it's Israel's Independence Day this year.

Upon realizing the date connection, "I looked at that and chills went up and down my spine," he told WND. "That's when I knew there was a correlation. To me, I just immediately felt a spiritual connection to it. If you have a spiritual perception at all, it really hits you hard."

Is energy 'miracle' finally taking off?

Pioneer: 'This would be the greatest sea change in history for our country'

By Joe Kovacs Posted: January 14, 2010 ~ 8:40 pm Eastern © 2010 WorldNetDaily A project trumpeted as a potential solution to America's energy needs is on the verge of taking off with the U.S. military, but government bureaucracy is causing frustrating delays and a chokehold on funding, raising out-of-pocket expenses for the company spearheading the technology. Three F/A-18 Super HornetsBell Bio-Energy of Tifton, Ga., has developed a groundbreaking process that rapidly converts virtually anything that grows out of the Earth into all sorts of hydrocarbon fuel – from gasoline and diesel, to home heating oil and jet fuel for fighter aircraft such as the Navy's F/A-18 Super Hornets. "If we can produce this fuel [on a mass scale], this would be the greatest sea change in history for our country," declares J.C. Bell, the project's pioneer. His method involves genetic manipulation to change naturally occurring bacteria, so they eat and consume biomass more quickly and efficiently, breaking down waste material from crops into usable energy. "There's certainly nothing from a basic science point of view that's wrong with the idea," said Dr. Charles Krauter, a soil and water professor California State University at Fresno familiar with Bell's technique. "Obviously the process worked. He's just doing it in an artificial enviroment and speeding it up. They're not doing anything that natural microbes haven't been doing for 100 million years." Since WND first reported on the project in 2008, Bell has sought the federal government's help in expanding the process on a huge scale. Last year, he teamed up with the U.S. Army for a demonstration plant at Fort Stewart in Georgia, and said results were a complete success. "We've proven it. There's nothing else left to prove," he said. "Now all we have to do is build bigger plants." With that in mind, the next target is a joint project with the U.S. Navy that could mean an enhanced supply of jet fuel for America's F/A-18 Super Hornets, created from the non-edible residue of California's fruits, nuts and vegetables. "We're looking at putting a full-scale production facility in the San Joaquin Valley," Bell said. The valley, located in the heart of the Golden State, is considered one of the most fertile sections of the U.S. "What they produce is mile after mile of vineyards for wine, grapes and grape juice," said Bell, "and mile after mile of almond groves and pistachio and pecan groves. All of those things have to be trimmed every year. That's the biomass waste they're producing every year." READ FULL STORY >

Rush Limbaugh: I thought this was the big one

From WorldNetDaily
Host with heart trouble says he might not have survived with Obamacare By Joe Kovacs Posted: January 06, 2010 ~ 12:45 pm Eastern © 2010 WorldNetDaily PALM BEACH, Fla. – On Rush Limbaugh's first day back on the air after suffering chest pains similar to a heart attack, the most listened-to radio host in America said he was happy the scare took place before Democrat-inspired sweeping changes take effect in America's health-care system. "I wanted to say I'm just glad this happened before 2013 and Obama's health care went into effect, because I might not have survived it," Limbaugh said today. "There was not one shred of any Obamacare in any of the care I received. ... Remember, Obamacare requires you to have insurance or you get fined, and I don't have insurance, and I will get fined and go to jail before I buy it." Limbaugh, who described himself as "one of the 47 million uninsured Americans," said the pain he experienced in Hawaii was "intense." The 58-year-old was hurried to the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu Dec. 29, after calling his girlfriend, Kathryn Rogers, on his cell phone, telling her, "I think I'm having a heart attack." He says Rogers and staff at the Kahala Hotel and Resort burst into his room to come to his aid. "All of a sudden, pain came roaring back worse than ever. They had to sort of pin me down to keep me from writhing around on the floor." "I never came close to losing consciousness. My life did not flash before me. I didn't think I was going to die, but I did think this was the big one." READ FULL STORY >

Glenn Beck's fear of Obama: Seize power overnight

From WorldNetDaily.com
Rush: 'Most dangerous time in my life for freedom and liberty in this country' Posted: August 26, 2009 ~ 9:30 pm Eastern By Joe Kovacs © 2009 WorldNetDaily Will President Obama "seize power overnight" in a move to consolidate White House control of the U.S. government? That's the fear of Fox News anchor Glenn Beck who discussed the issue at length today with another broadcasting powerhouse, radio's Rush Limbaugh. "I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought," Beck said. His comment came as he was analyzing the changing nature of the media since Obama's election, citing the administration's close ties with the NBC network, owned by corporate giant General Electric:
If you watch what could only be called the administration's organ – anything involved with GE or NBC – you've got [GE CEO] Jeffrey Immelt on the board of the Federal Reserve, you have him in the Oval Office consulting not only on health care, but the financial situation, and they are an organ. If you watch MSNBC, I contend that you will see the future because they are laying the ground for a horrible event ... anything from the right, there's some awful event and I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought.
Limbaugh responded, "I don't think they're going to be able to seize it overnight without anybody knowing about it." [READ ENTIRE STORY]
