No option with Iran but war or funding terror?
(Editor's note: This is the third part of a series on the Iran nuclear deal. Read Part 1 here. Read Part 2 here.) In the last two columns, I've highlighted five of eight exaggerations Obama makes about the Iran nuclear deal. To recap the first five, they were: 1) President Obama said, "I've had to make…

President Obama didn't use all of his options in dealing with the Iranian nuclear threat. Chuck Norris discusses his idea of a better option in this column. As you will read here, Chuck's suggestion is Reaganesque.

Is tide turning? Liberal writer supports Obama impeachment ~ By Allen West
The most well-known examples of Obama changing or issuing laws with the stroke of a pen by issuing executive orders include:Of course, there are many people on the Conservative side of the political spectrum that would like to see Barack Hussein Obama impeached, and they could list many reasons that are very convincing. And yes, we've even been hearing that there are liberals on the left that also want to impeach the President, and in this column by Allen West, we learn who one of them is.
- Delaying the employer mandate in Obamacare
- Changing the types of plans available under Obamacare
- Ensuring abortions would be covered under Obamacare
- Enacting key provisions of the failed Dream Act to halt deportations of illegal immigrants
- Enacting stricter gun-control measures
- Sealing presidential records
- Creating an economic council
- Creating a domestic policy council
“Never before in our history had a president done these things,” Hentoff mused. He is baffled that Obama should escape such scrutiny when former President Bill Clinton faced impeachment just for being “a lousy liar.”
- Changing pay grades
However, even if the Republicans can take back the U.S. Senate and keep control of the House, I still highly doubt that there will ever be an impeachment of the President. Nor do I believe the President would resign before an impeachment as former President "Tricky Dick" Nixon did. I think that one of the considerations that leaders in Congress would have to contemplate would be if Obama was out of the White House, would that actually improve things? The thought of Uncle Joe Biden becoming the President would make most of us shudder. I just can't see anybody wanting that to happen, and it is analogous to jumping from a pot of boiling oil into the fire.
In fact, I'll be praying that Republican candidates for the Senate or House of Representatives stay far away from even mentioning impeachment (or the President's eligibility issues!). That, I believe, is one of the reasons the old establishment GOP seems to be prone to keep Tea Party candidates off the ballots.
But then, I have a caveat. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I do have this concern that upon the end of Obama's final term in office, that he may not be above finding a way to stay in office due to a national emergency. I'm just sayin'...

In recent fundraising efforts, Democrats have invoked the “I” word – the threat of impeachment — to try and rally liberal progressives as we approach the key 2014 mid-term elections.
Democrats are working hard to portray this as a full speed effort of conservatives. But it’s not just those center-right who are concerned with President Obama’s executive overreach.
In an interview with World Net Daily, famed Village Voice journalist Nat Hentoff called Obama “the most dangerous and destructive president ever” and “the worst state…the country has ever been in.”

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Thursday, Feb 2, 2012
Let's begin this post with an excerpt from the latest Daily Motivator, "The richness of today," (Thursday, Feb 2, 2012):
Many hours could have been spent in just covering the results of the GOP primary in Florida. Thus, I used my twitter and facebook accounts to bring attention to information that I felt was relevant when producing a full post here would take more time than I had available.

Live this day fully, by applying your effort and focus in meaningful and effective ways. By doing so, you will make the richness of today an enduring part of your life.I just spent the whole day of February 1 to prepare this post. I felt there was a lot of work to do after my long absence over the last 10 days due to medical needs. There is only one thing that I had to keep in mind: There is no way to retrieve all of the information that I missed, and still know what is going on NOW. "Catching up" is not an option.
Drop your meaningless pretenses and useless worries about the future, and put your energy into living the richness of what is right now. Feel the great opportunity that is in front of you, and make it uniquely yours.
While it is still here, bring today’s richness into your life. And make this day one you can look back upon with satisfaction and immense gratitude.

Farah on Fox TV: Rubio not a natural-born citizen
'We've been through this with Obama now for 4 years'
From WND ~ by Joe Kovacs ~ Published Jan 31, 2012
RELATED STORIES:Moments after Mitt Romney’s landslide victory in the Florida Republican Primary, WND Editor Joseph Farah declared on national television that Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio would not be a good selection for vice president because he’s not a natural-born citizen of the U.S., and therefore is not legally qualified to hold the office.
Sen. Marco Rubio, (R-FL)
“Rubio’s not eligible … because he’s not a natural-born citizen,” Farah told Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel.
Farah’s comment came during discussion about GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who finished third in Florida with 13 percent of the vote, behind Romney’s 46 percent and Newt Gingrich’s 32 percent.
“Well, I think Santorum’s doing one of two things,” Farah explained. “I think he’s either trying to position himself as, ‘There’s no mud on me and I’m a bonafide conservative,’ and maybe that’s going to propel him to the front of the race. Or that other thing that had crossed my mind when he was really talking about Newt criticizing Romney, the thought occurred to me, ‘Is he trying to position himself for a vice-presidential candidacy there?’”
JOSEPH FARAH
Hannity responded, “I think that’s taken. I think it’s gonna be Rubio. That’s my guess.”
“If it’s not, somebody’s lost their mind,” added Democratic strategist Bob Beckel.
“Rubio’s not eligible,” Farah interjected. “You’re going to lose 10 percent of the Republican vote because he’s not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years. You want to open that can of worms again?"
“I don’t believe that’s going to work,” Hannity said.

From WND Commentary ~ By Erik Rush ~ Published Feb 1, 2012
By the end of this past weekend, it had become apparent to astute voyagers in cyberspace that references to Obama mentor Saul Alinsky were being scrubbed from the Web. At the same time, it was reported that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had floated the air biscuit vis-à-vis her resignation as secretary of state, supposedly due to the rigors of her job. On Jan. 24, a low-profile news story ran concerning joint police and military drills scheduled to be held in downtown Los Angeles. These would be designed to “ensure the military’s ability to operate in urban environments, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments, and meet mandatory training certification requirements,” according to the LAPD.
I’m not going to question precisely who does the scrubbing when people reference scrubbing of the Web, belabor the slim chance that Hillary (of all people) would ever resign due to stress, or rail over why the establishment press sat still for a “not to worry” answer from government over military drills in a major civilian area. Most of the readers of this space could come up with viable assessments of these things before I could finish typing this sentence. My aim here – aside from citing the curious nature of all these occurring in such close temporal proximity – is something altogether different.

In a way, I'm not a big fan of the word, "religion." The word can mean so many different things to people. In fact, it's right up there with "politics." Both words lead to great debates just because the words both bring about different opinions, which lead to debate, which leads to arguments and the inability for all of us to just get along.

Game-changer: The next eligibility shoe to drop
"If you agree with me that this charade by Obama has gone on much too long, I urge you to get behind our efforts in any way you can," says Farah. "Help spread these videos across the Internet, using your Facebook pages, emails and other social networking tools. . . ."It sounds like a book that could be pretty ominous according to the hype on WND: "And now another shoe is ready to drop with a very loud thud that promises to raise the level and intensity of the national controversy beyond anything the public has seen before."
Farah concludes, "Watch the videos. Watch the calendar. And watch the Obama re-election campaign squirm."

I am looking forward to reading this book. I have my order in. Did Jerome Corsi find some new evidence that Barack Hussein Obama is not eligible to be occupying the Oval Office? Or, is this a brilliant marketing campaign that convinced me to purchase the book (in advance)? I guess that I'll be finding out in about a month when I receive my copy. And yes, as soon as I read it, I'll post a review for you.
Allow me to address a question that is sure to surface. Am I plugging the soon-to-be released book by Jerome Corsi? Of course! But, no, I don't receive any compensation. My only motivation is to make sure that the truth gets out as much as possible.
But as much as I'd love to see Obama proven to be a fraud, I'd be the first person to admit it if I don't find significant and solid evidence contained in Corsi's new book. However, I do not believe that will be the case.
And maybe the best part of this book is that it will create jobs! It will be keeping the people at FactCheck.org very busy for a long time. No, they won't be doing research. They will stay busy by trying to figure out ways to spin what Jerome Corsi has discovered. I'm just sayin'...

Jerome Corsi's 'Where's the Birth Certificate?' book breaking sales records
April 10, 2011 ~ 9:24 pm Eastern

WASHINGTON – First there was Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie's famous pledge to find Barack Obama's birth certificate and make it public to shut up the so-called "birthers."
That raised national interest in the controversy – especially when he failed to produce it.
Then came Donald Trump out of the blue, asking questions WND's newsroom team has been asking for the last two-and-a-half years.
That raised the national debate to furious new heights.
And now another shoe is ready to drop with a very loud thud that promises to raise the level and intensity of the national controversy beyond anything the public has seen before.
It is the release of "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President" by two-time No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi – a book that is, more than a month prior to release, setting records for advance sales.
Jerome Corsi
"Potentially, I believe this book is the political endgame for Barack Obama," says Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND and WND Books, the publisher of the title. "I don't see how he can be re-elected with hard questions and new evidence of his ineligibility raised by the book. It's a game-changer – and the news media blackout on this issue has now turned into a media feeding frenzy to cover their negligent rear ends."

Trump speaks the unspeakable ~ By Robert Ringer
What a great novel all this would make … though it would have to be toned down quite a bit for it to be more believable to discerning readers. In the meantime, I hope Donald Trump presses forward and uses his considerable clout to force into the open what could be the biggest political scandal in the history of this country. In the column I posted yesterday, I mentioned that we "can thank Donald Trump for ramping up the attention the story is receiving now." In this column, Robert Ringer would seem to be agreeing with my assessment. Robert wrote: "I find it so refreshing that someone of Donald Trump's stature had the courage to come forward and demand that Barack Obama produce his birth certificate."
Back on March 31, I wrote, "Now that Donald Trump has stepped into the mix, mostly beginning with his appearance on 'The View,' it is a whole new ball game." And here's the thing: Donald Trump apparently has a quick learning curve. He has taken the time to learn about the available information (because of WND's extensive research? Ya think?), and he has the courage to ask that question about the birth certificate. And that is even with the possibility that Donald is going to run for President!
So, we now have something very interesting to consider. Trump's question about the Obama eligibility proof has not - I repeat - HAS NOT hurt him in the straw polls for being the next GOP candidate for President. I mean, is that weird, or what? Can you believe it? Why wasn't Donald ridiculed into oblivion after stating his opinion on shows such as "The View"? Oh, he received the ridicule, but for some reason, this time, it didn't seem to stick.
Because of Donald Trump, Obama's eligibility issue is no longer "unspeakable" amongst the "elite" class. I am hoping that people in the media will actually try to do some research, and discover why there is this anomaly in politics. But here is a clue for the liberal media that should now be embarrassed that they weren't paying attention because of their bias: Guess who the American public pays more attention to? Donald Trump, or you? And the irony is, the liberal media helped Donald Trump be who he is in public notoriety!
Congratulations, liberals! You've been "Trumped"! I'm just sayin'....

Trump speaks the unspeakable
ROBERT RINGER

I've long wondered if Republicans can field a candidate who has the courage to ignore the unwritten rule that it's politically incorrect to speak the truth about America's current make-believe president.
When George Bush graciously turned over the White House keys to the mysterious man with the mysterious background, few realized he was handing America's top secrets to the enemies from within. But given the swiftness with which Obama began implementing his collectivist, anti-America agenda, it didn't take long for millions of voters to wake up. Sadly, however, many more millions still choose to ignore his anti-American words and actions and write off those who oppose him as racists or right-wing radicals.
Which is why I find it so refreshing that someone of Donald Trump's stature had the courage to come forward and demand that Barack Obama produce his birth certificate. Notwithstanding all the evidence that has been presented by Jerome Corsi and others who have been on top of this issue since long before Obama was elected, the left has succeeded in silencing anyone who has dared broach the subject by writing them off as conspiracy nuts.
And BHO himself has displayed incredible chutzpah when pressed on the subject, on one occasion even wisecracking to Brian Williams, "I can't spend all my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead." Nice Alinsky-like diversionary tactic, Barack, but it's not working so well anymore. In fact, even the master of the tingled leg, Chris Matthews, is suggesting that you put to bed all this ridiculous talk about your not being a citizen by simply producing your birth certificate. What a novel idea.
That Obama apparently does not have an authentic U.S. birth certificate is becoming increasingly evident. If he did have such a document, he would have to be an arrogant fool not to put it on public display to shut up all those crazy birthers. Arrogant, yes. But fool … I don't think so.
Bill O'Reilly has long snickered at anyone who broached the birther subject, always insisting that his staff had "already checked it out." But when Trump recently pressed him on the issue, O'Reilly said that what his people had found was a birth announcement in two Hawaii newspapers. Tell you what, Bill. If you'd like an announcement of some kind put in any newspaper in the country, just pay me a hundred bucks and I'll be happy to do it for you – quickly and easily.
I don't claim to have done any serious investigation on this subject, but, based on Obama's own refusal to make his birth certificate available to at least (all) members of the press, I have no choice but to assume that he was not born in this country. Kind of a familiar theme, since he also had all of his records sealed at Columbia (where no one from his class seems to have any recollection of him) and Harvard.
But let's not get hung up on a little thing like where Obama was born. It's just that I have this gnawing piece of advice stuck in the back of my mind: "Trust, but verify."
Whatever his place of birth, the one thing that is clear are Obama's own words and actions throughout the part of his career that is actually documented. It's time to start talking openly about the guy who vowed to fundamentally change the United States of America and stop pretending as though he's just another moderate liberal who's "not up to the task" of governing.

Rush Limbaugh slammed for 'avoiding' eligibility
Limbaugh then launched into an in-depth lecture of his own role in the ongoing dispute:
[Joined in progress] . . .
You've got me pegged wrong here. But I deal with what is. I don't deal with what-ifs. "If" is for children. And we've got certain things that are the reality of the day that have to be dealt with, pure and simple, and that's where I am on this. No more and no less. There's no magic wand that can get Obama unelected. You can hope and you can dream but you are locked in a fantasy if that's what you're waiting for. That isn't gonna happen. The focus needs to be on making sure he's not re-elected. But there is no way to unelect the guy. It isn't going to happen. Having said that, oh, yeah, I'm like all of you, I would love for this guy to be a total fraud when it comes to the birth certificates. He's a fraud on practically everything else. If he's born somewhere else, I would love for conclusive proof of that. That would be fun. Just to watch the Democrats and the media. That would be worth the price of admission and whatever they charge for it. But until such things happen, if, when, whatever, there's a reality that has to be dealt with day in and day out. ...
RUSH LIMBAUGH
Just in case you didn't notice, I've recently posted quite a few stories to this blog that deal with the eligibility issue regarding President Obama. We can thank Donald Trump for ramping up the attention the story is receiving now. And now we can thank "Angela from Arnold, Mo." that called in to the Rush Limbaugh radio program, which lead to Rush saying what he really thinks about the issue.
Angela, the caller, really had it right when she mentioned, "...and if it does turn out that he is not a true citizen, then I think all of you should hang your heads in shame ... " The true shame is that some would not bother to investigate the story, because "there is no way to unelect the guy," Rush stated. "It isn't going to happen."
It ain't pretty. Actually, it is getting downright ugly, because "tea-partiers" are being blamed by both sides for the "birther" issue. The truth is, the eligibility issue began to be reported on (mostly by WND) in the summer of 2008, long before the tea parties got started. The "birthers" just want the answers, like Angela says. When a few of the media detractors come from the Right, like Rush, Bill O'Reilly, or Glenn Beck, it hurts. And the shame may be that they haven't even tried to investigate so that we can eventually learn the truth.
I hope that Rush is wrong, for once, when he says, "It isn't going to happen.". I would seriously hope that if we ever find out that a person in ANY elected office had committed some kind of fraud to be elected, that person would face the consequences. That should apply to anyone that occupies the Oval Room (between golf games). I'm just sayin'....
Rush Limbaugh slammed for 'avoiding' eligibility
'Not 1 high Republican or you has ever really tried to nail' Obama
JOE KOVACS
By Joe Kovacs
April 07, 2011 ~ 9:45 pm Eastern
© 2011 WorldNetDaily
Radio giant Rush Limbaugh came under fire today from a caller to his top-rated program accusing the host of avoiding the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility to be president.
"The fact of the matter is that his citizenship has been a suspicious issue from the very beginning," said Angela from Arnold, Mo., "and not one high Republican or you has ever really tried to nail him on this issue, and if it does turn out that he is not a true citizen, then I think all of you should hang your heads in shame because of all the destruction our country has had to suffer ever since he was elected, in spite of being the fraud that we know he probably really is."
Limbaugh asked incredulously, "So you're mad at me?"
"I am furious," Angela responded. "I wanted you and anybody else to go after him on this issue before he was elected. It would have been the easiest way to have stopped him. It would have been a no-brainer. But nobody would. And so he was elected and everything was just hidden under the rug. And now look what we have had ever since. ... If it does turn out that he's not a citizen, I think you should hang your head in shame, because our country has suffered so much."
Limbaugh said irrespective of Obama not having produced his long-form, hospital-specified birth certificate, "I gotta remind you there is no evidence whatsoever Obama was not born in Hawaii. There's something he doesn't want us to see about the birth certificate, but there's nothing to glom onto here other than his reticence in having the birth certificate seen. I am the only one who proclaimed the guy a fraud. I'm the one who did not go along with Obama. I'm the one who said I hope he failed. I'm the guy who took all the arrows for a whole Republican Party and everybody else for suggesting this guy was a fraud and filled with deceit, that he's not who he said he was on the basis of policy and the things that he had planned for this country."
The caller continued to press Limbaugh, saying, "The fact that there was no evidence was the very reason why you should have gone forward. I have evidence that I'm a citizen. Why didn't he have to produce the evidence? Nobody made him do it. Not even you, and you and everyone else should have made him provide the evidence."
Video provided by MrTimotheus85 on Apr 8, 2011
Angela explained her anger stemmed from the fact that real-estate tycoon and potential Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was now doing the job she thought Limbaugh and other GOP types should be doing investigating Obama's background.

John Stossel and my pleasure jolts ~ By Barry Farber
And if every member of Congress could see John Stossel's "Freeloaders" on Fox, neither socialism, the Bureau of Indian Affairs nor the U.S. budget would ever be the same, either.
If you talk to Lumbees about "wigwams, tomahawks, squaws, etc." they won't scalp you. But they're more comfortable talking about approved loans, balanced portfolios, expanding equity and a surging Dow.
That gives them a severe pleasure jolt.
There is a definite conduit of "pleasure jolts" going on here. John Stossel generated the "pleasure jolt" with his "Freeloaders" special, which was then transmitted to Barry Farber, who then transferred that amazing energy of "pleasure jolts" to me like I was touching a hot line while standing in salt water.
I had apparently neglected to set my TiVo to get the John Stossel special on Fox News recorded the evening it was on. I was glad to see that somebody else has it uploaded to youtube, which I of course watched, and then inserted in the excerpted text below. But the "pleasure jolt" comes in both finding a video of Stossel's "Freeloaders" special, and in Barry Farber's realization that it's another powerful example of the failure of government assistance, and the success of free enterprise while doing without any kind of subsidy from the Nanny State.
Now, if you are reading this column and watching the video, and you feel more like you are enduring shock treatment, rather than the "pleasure jolt," you may want to start reconsidering the actual source of your misery. And if the current you are receiving is generated by Big Brother, think battery: It will eventually die.
So, never forget the other lesson in Farber's column: Knowledge is power.
John Stossel and my pleasure jolts
BARRY FARBER
By Barry Farber

Occasionally I'm hit with a severe jolt of pleasure; a strange pleasure; a pleasure most profound. You've heard, "Knowledge is power." With me it's also, "Knowledge is pleasure." Example:
Nobody asked me to cover the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. However, I just happen to know that Lillehammer is located in the part of Norway named "Gudbrandsdalen." And I also happen to know that means "The Valley of God's Fire." I'll bet you not one in a hundred of the non-Norwegian press corps knows that; that's all. And that's enough; enough for me, anyhow.
Now here comes John Stossel, fellow WND columnist, over the weekend of March 26 with one of the best pieces in television history: "Freeloaders," a Fox News special delivering stomp-down proof that Indian tribes that are not recognized as tribes by the government and get no federal handouts are more successful than those on the federal dole. Stossel visited the Lumbee tribe of North Carolina, whose members get nothing from the government. They're generally successful in business. Many live in luxury mansions. In contrast, the Indians embraced by the feds live in what look like tar-paper shacks.
(Start watching this video at about 5:46)
Video provided by ThomasPaine4 on Mar 26, 2011
In boxing, John Stossel's interview with Elizabeth Homer, who used to be the government nanny of the recognized tribes, would have been canceled as a mismatch or halted on a TKO early in Round 1. She was pitifully unable to defend government stewardship over Native Americans as anything but the failure of socialism.
I'll never quit thanking Stossel for giving me Part 4 of my standard answer to the question, "How can you flat-out say that capitalism is better for the masses than socialism?" Up to now I've had three examples: free and prosperous Finland, which began its national life simultaneously with its dysfunctional Communist Russian neighbor; West Berlin, delivering mortal embarrassment to Communist East Berlin every day of the latter's existence; and Hong Kong, when it was British and free right next to Communist China. Now I add: the Lumbees, up against all the tribes spoon-fed by Washington.

It's not a conspiracy – it's right out in the open ~ By Patrice Lewis
The first line of my Twitter bio states, "Obama's destruction of Americanism is INTENTIONAL!" Despite this great column by Patrice Lewis, I still believe that statement to be true.
So, here I go again. I'm on a roll this morning. Out of three columns I've blogged about so far this morning, including this one, I've had some disagreement with all of them! First, there was Barry Farber's column, "The American freedom gene." I vociferously disagreed with Barry about complacency being neutralized by the American freedom gene.
And then there was Henry Lamb's column, "How do you spell incompetence?" I wish now that in the intro prologue I wrote that I had mentioned the fact that I truly believe that Obama wasn't suffering from incompetence. Well, not directly. Shivers may run down your spine, but I think that there is something much more sinister than out-and-out incompetence on Obama's part. So, I guess that is where Patrice and I may have somewhat of a disagreement with her column.
Not that I'm saying that Obama had the Deep Horizon oil rig blown up, or anything... But I do believe that the lack of competence in getting the leak stopped may be a little deeper, and I guess it falls into the category of "conspiracy theories" as Patrice explains it here. But I do agree with her in the way that the things Obama is doing IS out in the open. There is no doubt that Glenn Beck has been pointing that out in detail lately. The ongoing drama of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the incompetence in getting it stopped, and followed by Obama's 6 month moratorium on drilling anywhere off-shore may be coupled with the Petrobar connection with George Soros along with a $2 Billion investment from the U.S. Treasury. (I will soon be uploading a video at TheREALjohnny2k channel regarding that connection from a Crime Inc segment on the Glenn Beck Show).
Yes, my dear Patrice, all that you said was correct in the fact that it is all out in the open. But I do disagree as to the reason it's all in the open. I truly believe that it's all about the motive for what is happening in this country regarding the oil spill, the massive debt being created, or the lack of border security leading to the Arizona SB 1070 law going into affect this week. And I began writing about this several years ago in a series called "Setting the Stage." (You can begin reading that now at johnny2k Is Home.)
The problem with conspiracy theories, as I believe Patrice points out, is that in many cases they are to the point of fear mongering. The problem with pointing out incompetence, or even rightly pointing out those things that are right out in the open, is that some (mostly the MSM and Democrats) will still call it fear mongering. But it isn't fear mongering. It's called putting all the pieces of the puzzle together: President Obama is going to trash our sovereignty and lead us into the New World Order, a One World Government. Maybe it IS a conspiracy, even if it IS right out in the open. There, I said it. Just sayin'....!
When we are successful, and we will be: Welcome to the New World Order
Since the dawn of civilization, nations have been born, grown too large and arrogant, and died. There was no conspiracy. It's unfortunately quite normal. Our Founding Fathers knew this very well, and that's why they built in the checks and balances they did. Unsurprisingly, politicians have done their best to erode and bypass and ignore those checks and balances ever since. There's no conspiracy. It's predictable. It's right out in the open.
But here's the thing: In the end, it doesn't matter if our current events are part of a grand and secret conspiracy or not. It doesn't matter if it's pre-planned or just a natural chain of events. It doesn't matter if the Bilderberg Group is in cahoots with Obama to bring about a one-world government, or if it's just a series of greedy politicians and bankers messing us up. It's immaterial.
The important thing is, we still have to fight it.

As you can imagine, as a WND columnist I get e-mails from all kinds of people, including those vocal individuals or groups who have their own personal theories about where we're heading. Martial law, one-world government, TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) … you name it, I've heard it. Collectively these are known as conspiracy theories.
What is a conspiracy theory? The dictionary defines it as "A theory seeking to explain a disputed case or matter as a plot by a secret group or alliance rather than an individual or isolated act."
Most conspiracy theories spring from a deep distrust of government and, by extension, of the official explanations offered by the government of historical events. "Usually, government is the entity engaging in the conspiracy and the ensuing cover-up, and the individuals who proffer these theories tend to be anti-government, at least to some degree," notes SkepticWiki. Conspiracy theories span decades and even centuries. The 9/11 terrorist attacks, chemtrails, Roswell, the assassination of Kennedy, Hitler's suicide, the assassination of Lincoln, all the way back to the existence of Christ … all have had conspiracy theories surrounding them.
And, as with proving a negative, conspiracy theories can be very hard to disprove.
So when I hear the latest conspiracy theories surrounding recent news events (the BP oil spill, Arizona immigration reform), I'm inclined to dismiss them as yet more rantings from obsessed people with an ax to grind, who claim to have inside knowledge of yet another grand plan to round us all up into concentration camps and gas us.
These obsessed individuals take a sequence of events and embroider it with "if this is true, then therefore this will happen" scenarios that fit with their personal fixation. They only hear the evidence they want to hear, then lavishly embellish it with their own interpretation and just a tinge of hope that what they believe will actually come to pass (so they can say "I told you so").
Conspiracy theories arise when people feel helpless against the destructive tide of events that shape our world. Conspiracies don't arise around joyous events, only malevolent. Theorists believe there must be a reason something happened; it can't have a meaningless, random, accidental or natural cause.
When you think about it, conspiracy theories are easy to understand. They are an attempt by the powerless to make sense out of senseless things, usually by blaming the powerful and elite.
So far there's only one conspiracy theory to which I'm willing to lend an ear. Or, to put it another way, only one theory fits nicely into my pre-existing suspicions. And that is the theory that our country is on the path to destruction.
Why else would the government continue to spend billions – trillions – of stimulus dollars it doesn't have despite evidence that stimulus programs don't work? Why else would it take over the health-care system (against the will of the people) in an attempt to "improve" it despite evidence from other countries that socialized medicine results in rationed services and skyrocketing costs? Why else is cap-and-trade being pushed in the wake of the BP oil disaster, despite projections that show it will raise our taxes catastrophically and bankrupt our already depressed nation?
Yet even this theory fails to stand up under scrutiny. The people planning or implementing these things are not thinking about the destruction of our country per se. Nobody is a villain in their own eyes. They're all doing what they think is right and correct within the bounds of their own vision.
In other words, the "conspiracy" to destroy our country is actually nothing more than the natural tendency for government to grow bigger and more powerful.
Everyone wants more. More funding, a more important title, more staff working under them. Nobody goes into the office in the morning and asks himself, "Gee, I wonder how I can reduce my funding, cut my staff and have a less prestigious job title?" But unlike the private sector (where you get bigger and more powerful by working harder and providing products or services that people want), government bureaucrats achieve their goals by creating more rules and regulations and taxes to get more funding, more staff and more prestige.
I do not believe there are a bunch of guys in black robes sitting around secretly planning on how to enslave us under a one-world government. The bigger and grander and more long-lasting a conspiracy, the less likely it will succeed because people can't keep secrets. Someone will blab.

Make no mistake about it, WND is under siege – from the left and what I call "the soft right."
Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't trade what we do for all the accolades and awards in the world. For us, the rewards are in the impact we have, the results we get and the appreciative audience we build.

Once upon a time, I aspired to work within a great institution – the American free press.
Inspired by the Watergate scandals of the early 1970s and, more importantly, the coverage provided by two reporters from the WashingtonPost, I set out to become a newspaperman.
While still in college, I began practicing the craft – exposing a series of scandals that forced the president of the institution to resign.
In my first professional tours, my passion for newspapering was noticed by my employers. I quickly rose through the ranks and got the plum assignments I wanted.
I studied at the feet of one of the great newspapermen of the 20th century, Jim Bellows, late of the New York Herald Tribune, Washington Star, Los Angeles Times and Los Angeles Herald Examiner.
And, eventually, I got to run my own daily newspapers, fulfilling my lifetime dream – all long before my 40th birthday.
It was a lifetime of journalistic experience crammed into less than 20 years.
But it was a momentous 20 years.
During those two decades, I watched my beloved news industry lose its moorings. I witnessed it lose its sense of mission. I saw it lose its ethics and morality. I observed in horror as it was taken over by people completely out of touch with their audience, their country's values and the central role of a free press in a free society.
Today I am 55 years old and have been running the world's first independent Internet news source for 13 years.
When I started WND back in 1997, I had hoped that it would lead to a renaissance of good journalism on and off the Net. Just the opposite has happened. Traditional American journalism has all but collapsed. What stands in its place today, whether it's the New York Times, MSNBC or the Huffington Puffington Post, quite resembles the institutions known as Pravda and Izvestia back in the Cold War days – without the official government control. It isn't needed with the denizens of today's excuse for journalism. They eagerly serve not as a watchdog on government, which was the calling of journalists for the first 200 years of American history, but as shills for government power.
After 13 years, I really believed WND would have inspired all kinds of competition doing what we are doing – returning to the old-fashioned American roots of journalism, and prospering as a result.
Yet today there is still nothing like WND anywhere else – on the Internet, on TV, in print or in any other venue.

Court document swears Kenyan birth cert legit
From WorldNetDaily
Owner risks perjury in high-profile case to insist Barack Obama born in Africa Posted: September 06, 2009 ~ 7:20 pm Eastern By Drew Zahn © 2009 WorldNetDaily With a scheduled hearing date Tuesday, Lucas Smith, the man who tried to sell an alleged Barack Obama Kenyan birth certificate on eBay, has filed court papers in a high-profile eligibility case insisting – under threat of perjury – that the Obama birth certificate in his possession is the genuine article.Smith filed his affidavit through California attorney Orly Taitz, who has spearheaded several lawsuits challenging Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to serve as president, as part of a case that includes as plaintiff former presidential candidate Alan Keyes. Taitz posted on her blog Smith's declaration, which claims he obtained the alleged birth certificate from Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya, and insists it's real. "The true and correct photocopy of the birth certificate obtained is attached to this affidavit as Exhibit A," the declaration reads. "I declare, certify, verify, state and affirm under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing statements of fact and descriptions of circumstances and events are true and correct." Smith's affidavit, which includes a copy of the certificate, has been filed with Judge David Carter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Carter is scheduled to preside over a hearing on the case on Sept. 8. Taitz told WND she believes the swiftly approaching court date prompted Smith into action: "He has been in touch with me for quite a while, and he emailed me the document with his signature," Taitz said. "I think he was trying to figure out the most expedient way to bring his message public, and maybe he felt that because I have a hearing coming, that would be the most expedient way." Taitz hopes the court will order expedited discovery, a ruling that would open many of Obama's currently sealed documents, including his college records and Hawaiian long-form birth certificate, to court scrutiny. "We'll see what happens on Tuesday. If Judge Carter has the guts, we may move very fast," Taitz told WND. "If expedited discovery is ordered, I'll be dashing to Occidental College and then be on a flight to Hawaii." [CLICK HERE TO READ ENTIRE STORY]

WND brings down the 'red czar' ~ By Joseph Farah
From WorldNetDaily
By Joseph Farah Posted: September 06, 2009 ~ 1:47 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily When the White House press corps finally grilled White House press secretary Robert Gibbs about "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones last Friday, a reporter asked how the administration could reject "conspiracy theories" about his birth certificate while employing someone who previously charged the U.S. government with masterminding Sept. 11. I found that to be an interesting juxtaposition. Could the answer be as simple as the White House has no respect for truth? Will reporters and even some clamoring to position themselves as respectable "conservatives" and critics of Barack Obama figure out that deception and deceit are at the very core of this regime? Do you expect those so ferociously attacking WND as a "conspiracy site" to recognize it was this news agency that first broke the Van Jones story in April and relentlessly pursued it for five months to the bitter end? Will a 'red' help blacks go green? ~ By Aaron Klein
This one, from WorldNetDaily, goes back to April 2009. Don't you think you should ask why you haven't heard about this until now? What else is being kept from us?
White House appoints 'radical communist' who sees environment as racial issue Posted: April 12, 2009 ~ 7:26 pm Eastern By Aaron Klein © 2009 WorldNetDailyJERUSALEM – The man appointed as a special environmental adviser to the White House recently was as an admitted radical communist and black nationalist leader. Van Jones, president and founder of Green For All, a nonprofit organization that advocates for building a so-called inclusive green economy, has been tapped to serve as the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. According to the White House blog, Jones' duties will include helping to craft job-generating climate policy and ensuring equal opportunity in the administration's energy proposals. Jones, formerly a self-described "rowdy black nationalist," boasted in a 2005 interview that his environmental activism was a means to fight for racial and class "justice." "I'll work with anybody, I'll fight anybody if it will push our issues forward," he told the left-leaning East Bay Express in a 2005 interview. "I'm willing to forgo the cheap satisfaction of the radical pose for the deep satisfaction of radical ends." [READ FULL STORY]

Why Ann Coulter indicts me ~ By Joseph Farah
From WorldNetDaily
By Joseph Farah Posted: August 24, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 WND provides what I believe to be the broadest forum of political commentary anywhere – not just on the Internet, but anywhere. To be a columnist on WND does not suggest agreement with my views or the corporate opinions of WND. If it did, I'd be the only columnist, because I'm the only one I agree with 100 percent of the time. I tell you that because every day, without fail, readers write to me demanding that one or more of our columnists be fired for some opinion he or she offered. Lately, most of the demands have been for the head of Ann Coulter. Coulter committed what many see as the unpardonable sin of attacking "birthers" – those "nuts" and "fruitloops" like me who actually want to see Barack Obama release his birth certificate and other documents he is so clearly hiding from the American public – documents crucial to knowing who our president really is and whether he is constitutionally eligible to hold office.
The attacks from friends, which I consider Ann to be, always hurt much more than attacks from adversaries. My skin is thick. It has to be in this business. Coulter's comments were scathing, and she painted with a broad brush. I was grateful she didn't make it personal in her comments on TV and in her WND column – the place where more people read Coulter than anywhere else. Nevertheless, I noted that her statements on this subject were much less informed than is her usual standard. [READ ENTIRE COLUMN]

Memo to CNN President Jon Klein ~ By Joseph Farah
By Joseph Farah Posted: August 08, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 It has been more than a week now since you wrote a memo to your entire editorial team explaining that the Obama birth certificate story was "dead" because Hawaii had destroyed all original, long-form, hospital-generated documents. In fact, it has been a week since the state of Hawaii repudiated your baseless assertion. Isn't it time to apologize for your error and to Lou Dobbs for attempting to intimidate him for covering the story? And since your basis for not covering the story has been blown to smithereens, isn't it time for you to issue a new edict to your news team to get back on the story? What am I missing? Perhaps you were just looking for an excuse not to cover the story in the first place? Your network is going to be left in the dust on one of the biggest stories in the history of the country. But I don't suppose that matters to you. My guess is that you are one of those media executives who puts politics ahead of news. That's what I surmise of your network's coverage of this story as well as many others. Your original position, which I can only assume you have modified after being proven wrong, was laughable even if your facts were correct. I don't know if you're old enough to remember Watergate. I was trying to imagine Ben Bradlee or Katherine Graham calling off the Washington Post's Watergate investigation because an 18-and-a-half-minute gap had been discovered in a critical White House recording. It's a good thing we had more determined media executives – and reporters – in the 1970s than we have today. While most of the big corporate media coverage of this story has been AWOL, CNN's is in a class by itself. It speaks for itself as well. As an example, I would cite this report CNN prepared on Lou Dobbs' program when he was absent.
Is this what you would call an "objective" report? Is this what you would call "balanced"? Is this what you would call "fair"? It's a 6-minute-45-second report. More than half was a one-sided set-up. Then two people who actually know something about the controversy are given less than two minutes to explain to the nation why the president of the United States has never proven his constitutional eligibility for office. Then two people who know nothing about the issue go on a name-calling binge – including maligning my own news agency, the only one that has actually investigated the story. [CONTINUE READING]

Obama birth doc update: Kenya sources weigh in
Comparison with similar certificates suggests fakery, WND probe reveals Posted: August 06, 2009 11:03 am Eastern By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily NEW YORK – The Kenyan birth document released by California attorney Orly Taitz is probably not authentic, according to WND's investigative operatives in Africa, though officials in Nairobi do not rule out the possibility President Obama may indeed have been born in their country. WND obtained several samples of Kenyan birth certificates in use around Aug. 4, 1961, the date of Obama's birth, showing differences from the Taitz document. WND reported Sunday on the document Taitz has been trying to authenticate. She filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California requesting the purported evidence of Obama's birth – both the alleged birth certificate and foreign records not yet obtained – be preserved from destruction. She also asked for permission to legally request documents from Kenya and is seeking a subpoena for a deposition from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "I filed the motion with the court asking for expedited discovery, which would allow me to start subpoenas and depositions even before Obama and the government responds," Taitz told WND then. "I am asking the judge to give me the power to subpoena the documents from the Kenyan embassy and to require a deposition from Hillary Clinton so they will be forced to authenticate [the birth certificate]."
