WIFLI Briefing for Aug 30, 2012 - The story I was almost afraid to tell

Glenn Beck was saying on his radio show yesterday (Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012) that we don't need to be talking about all the negative things about Barack Obama, because we already know what and who he is. Instead, we should talk about the positive vision of the GOP and how it will bring about the survival and revival of this great country and bring about prosperity.

I do agree with Glenn to a point, especially when it concerns the candidates in particular. I want to see the GOP candidates sway away from the negative attacks, and concentrating on the positive message of what America can become with the right (as in "Right") people in office. However, for the New Media, it may need to be a different story.

There is no doubt in my mind that the positive message of what the Republican candidates Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have to offer must be told, and that we will do. However, if there is anything that President Obama and his administration are doing that will replace our freedom with Marxist tyranny, that information must also be told - by somebody!

You obviously know that when it comes to reporting on anything negative about the President, you won't hear it on the mainstream media, and sometimes, not even on Fox News. So, where are you going to find the information about Obama that just might be a slight bit disturbing to those of us that love America and prefer freedom?

There is a very large contrast - a chasm - between what the Democrats and Republicans stand for.  There is no doubt that in this election, it is extremely important to make sure that people are aware of the differences between the candidates.  Really, would all the positive things in the world that could be told about the GOP candidates Romney and Ryan make a difference in the election, if there is no awareness of what the alternative is?

Seriously, where would we be right now if not for the patriots amongst us having the courage to confront the terrifying agenda that the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave has in mind for this country?  Dinesh D'Souza just happens to be one of those brave souls that does so:

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I borrowed the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

So, can anything be added to what Dinesh D'Souza has to say? How about something that is so terrifying, that to ignore the reality would be to seal our ultimate doom? All of the mainstream media will ignore this story. We know how people were treated that have doubted the eligibility of Obama, being labeled as "birthers."

However, the following story and video tells a truth about what may be the making of a tyrant, somebody that will do whatever it takes to stay in power. It may be an ugly truth that many of us will disregard, and mostly because the detractors will do their best to disparage the info warriors in order to discredit the story.

It's a piece of the puzzle that must be included, and there is no doubt that I was almost afraid to include the story that I want to share with you today. However, I'm just not in the mood to wimp out on bringing you this information. It is going to take the demise of this country and our freedom in order for a true globalist plot to succeed, and I'm wondering if President Obama is desperate enough to go this far. I'm just sayin'...

DHS Source: “It’s Going Hot”- Obama False Flag Coming
From Infowars.com ~ By Doug Hagmann ~ August 29, 2012

“It’s going hot.” Those were the ominous opening and closing words from my source inside the Department of Homeland Security in two separate contacts we had within the last 72 hours. Readers to this website and listeners to my radio program know this source as “Rosebud,” a source with access to high levels within the DHS administration.

WIFLI Briefing for May 20, 2012 - Going Public!

Yes, Friday's big news in the mainstream media is Facebook's initial public offering (IPO). Yes, it's finally happening, Facebook has gone public. However, that isn't what I needed to direct your attention to today. I'm not going to promote gambling here!  No, uh-uh!

In fact, I'm going to place a warning sign along the way like the ones that warn drivers of an upcoming construction site, traffic lanes will be reduced, and that caution and a much slower speed need to be adhered to. With this IPO, the last thing you want to do is get stuck in a bubble that could burst long before you have a chance to dump your stock in Facebook. Here's a video that makes my point:

Video provided by WSJDigitalNetwork on May 3, 2012

That is why I'm doing something so weird today. This might just shock you to see me posting a blog so soon after the last post. That is almost as rare as seeing the Chicago Cubs win more than two games in a row!

There were at least two other stories that caught my attention Friday. They both had to do with "going public." I had to take advantage of the situation, just so I could sneak in these stories on a Sunday, when nobody is watching. They call that, "UNDER the RADAR," I think.

Well, there you go. What else do we do with stories that deal with President George W. Bush's rare public commentary and the issue of "Obama's eligibility" appearing on Breitbart.com?

That's a good question, and I think I can give you the correct answer: Read the stories carefully, and don't be afraid to ask some questions. I don't know about you, but it is getting where what you read on the internet needs thorough investigation before accepting it 100% - i.e., lock, stock and barrel.

It doesn't matter if what you read in the mainstream media, or anywhere else, is 75% true or a total lie. Any kind of omission of facts is no better than a total fabrication. When you are not provided with all of the pieces of a puzzle, you should be warned; you are probably being manipulated, just so that you don't see the big picture.

Being that the content in this WIFLI Briefing is relatively very limited, you should have plenty of time to soak in the information, seek verification, and formulate your opinions. But remember, it's probably not a good idea to be "Going Public" with your opinions or news stories until you have ALL of facts to back you up.

Don't even write off the "birther" issue; not just yet. You never know when a news source, even if it's Breitbart.com and not one of the "mainstream outlets," exposes a new twist in the story.

The moral of the story is that not everything that "goes public" should be accepted as the complete, truthful story. But, at the very least, try to fit in one more puzzle piece in order to get the big picture.

Update, May 25, 2012:
Facebook, banks sued over pre-IPO analyst calls...Reuters...published May 23, 2012

It kind of makes my point, doesn't it?

I'm very impressed by the ideals that our former President endorsed in this column. But do I believe it is the reality that we face now? No, I don't. I am afraid that regardless of the tyrant, and the associated oppression of Arabs in those Middle East Muslim countries, the lack of freedom will still greet a large proportion of the population in those societies.

When the former President states that, "We only get to choose what side we are on," he was correct. However, are any of the alternative choices any better than what exists now? How are we going to determine which side to choose when neither side actually allows freedom?

George W. Bush: The Arab Spring and American Ideals
We do not get to choose if a freedom revolution should begin or end in the Middle East or elsewhere. We only get to choose what side we are on.
From The Wall Street Journal OPINION ~ By George W. Bush ~ Posted May 17, 2012, 6:56 p.m. ET

These are extraordinary times in the history of freedom. In the Arab Spring, we have seen the broadest challenge to authoritarian rule since the collapse of Soviet communism. The idea that Arab peoples are somehow content with oppression has been discredited forever.

Yet we have also seen instability, uncertainty and the revenge of brutal rulers. The collapse of an old order can unleash resentments and power struggles that a new order is not yet prepared to handle.

Some in both parties in Washington look at the risks inherent in democratic change—particularly in the Middle East and North Africa—and find the dangers too great. America, they argue, should be content with supporting the flawed leaders they know in the name of stability.

But in the long run, this foreign policy approach is not realistic. It is not within the power of America to indefinitely preserve the old order, which is inherently unstable. Oppressive governments distrust the diffusion of choice and power, choking off the best source of national prosperity and success.

This is the inbuilt crisis of tyranny. It fears and fights the very human attributes that make a nation great: creativity, enterprise and responsibility. Dictators can maintain power for a time by feeding resentments toward enemies—internal or external, real or imagined. But eventually, in societies of scarcity and mediocrity, their failure becomes evident.

A valid complaint has been made in the last few years by the Conservative side of politics is that Barack Hussein Obama was not properly vetted by those in the mainstream media prior to the 2008 election. While there were a few out there like Joseph Farah and Jerome Corsi at WND.com that brought up the birth certificate and Constitutional eligibility, many of the most Conservative talk-radio show hosts, and Fox News Channel, wouldn't touch it.

Following a story put out on Breitbart.com which you can see below, additional commentary and thought became part of some of the most popular radio shows. Both Glenn Beck and Joe Pagliarulo (on The Weekend), dedicated a major portion of their shows to discuss the Breitbart.com story.

Here is the story about the story: What Breitbart.com went public with is enough to make a lot of people become a little more curious about this situation. I know for a fact that when I posted stories in the past that i found on WorldNetDaily, now known as WND.com, the story got a lot of heat from the critics in the mainstream media as well as from the Conservative pundits.

At some point, the historians will be forced to deal with these events that may someday be known as "Birthergate." And I hope the historians will still be able to view and share the video you will see below:

Video provided by TheAlexJonesChannel on May 17, 2012

There are a lot of questions concerning President Barack Obama, and this is not the time to quit asking those questions. I'm just sayin'...

The Vetting - Exclusive - Obama's Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: 'Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii'
From Breitbart.com ~ By Joel B. Pollak ~ Published May 18, 2012

Note from Senior Management [at Breitbart.com]:

ANDREW BREITBART
Andrew Breitbart was never a "Birther," and Breitbart News is a site that has never advocated the narrative of "Birtherism." In fact, Andrew believed, as we do, that President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 4, 1961.

Yet Andrew also believed that the complicit mainstream media had refused to examine President Obama's ideological past, or the carefully crafted persona he and his advisers had constructed for him.

It is for that reason that we launched "The Vetting," an ongoing series in which we explore the ideological background of President Obama (and other presidential candidates)--not to re-litigate 2008, but because ideas and actions have consequences.

It is also in that spirit that we discovered, and now present, the booklet described below--one that includes a marketing pitch for a forthcoming book by a then-young, otherwise unknown former president of the Harvard Law Review.

It is evidence--not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times.

***

Breitbart News has obtained a promotional booklet produced in 1991 by Barack Obama's then-literary agency, Acton & Dystel, which touts Obama as "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii."

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Friday, Feb 10, 2012

Feel how good it feels to let enthusiasm freely flow. Feel how powerful it is when your actions are continually energized by your enthusiasm.

Find those things about which you can be authentically enthusiastic. And then, let the power of your enthusiasm flow.

— Ralph Marston ~ Wednesday, February 8, 2012
I have been authentically enthusiastic in putting together this WIFLI ("when I feel like it") issue. I wanted to touch on the major issues of this last week, and I think I've done that. Thursday's excitement was the Marco Rubio speech at CPAC 2012. The speech can be linked to below. Before you get too excited about Rubio as a candidate for VP, be sure to see Joseph Farah's column featured in the Commentary section below. There is kind of a question about Rubio's constitutional eligibility to hold that office.

In the war between Gingrich and Romney, Newt claims to be the true Conservative. But, is he really? Or is the question now moot, being that Rick Santorum is now proven to be a viable candidate, and is in the process of leaving Newt in the dust.

And of course, this issue will give you some additional insight on the HHS Mandate "to force religious employers to cover the cost of contraception and abortion-inducing drugs in its employees’ health-care coverage."

And you know that this all points to something that may not seem obvious at this time. But, with the issues featured in this post, I'm reminded that GOP Presidential candidate Rick Santorum seems to have come out of nowhere at just the right time. With Santorum's conservative values, and being Catholic, he is the perfect contrast to both the moderate Mitt Romney and to the President who he could possibly be running against this fall, with God's blessing. I've found the GOP candidate in which I "can be authentically enthusiastic" about! And now, it's time to let my enthusiasm flow. I'm just sayin'...

Marco Rubio Stars at CPAC
The young Floridian politician makes the conservative case
From USNEWS ~ By Rebekah Metzler ~ February 9, 2012

Sen.. MARCO RUBIO (R-FL)
It's pretty easy to see why Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is on every GOP presidential candidate's vice presidential shot list. The freshman, Cuban-American senator laid out a passionate, succinct, and unifying conservative agenda more effectively than any of those actually vying for the presidency have thus far, during remarks he made at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday.

"What is the conservative movement? It's pretty straightforward. We believe that the way prosperity is created is when people have the freedom and the opportunity to pursue their dreams," Rubio said.

Keys tenets of the current conservative movement are tax reform, regulatory reform, energy independence, and religious freedom, he said.

"We understand you have to have taxes. You have to pay for the national defense. But the tax code should not be an impediment to the creation of jobs and economic opportunity," Rubio said.

Yes, clean air and clean water are important, he said, but regulations have to make sense.

"They can't exist just to justify the existence of an agency," he said. "They can't put you at a competitive disadvantage against the rest of the world."

Rubio: Obama 'a terrible president'
Rising GOP star takes aim at White House to kick off CPAC
From WND ~ By Jerome Corsi ~ Published Feb 9, 2012

While Republican presidential candidates were bruising each other on the campaign trail, rising GOP star Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida took aim at the current occupant of the White House to help kick off the annual Conservative Political Action Conference in the nation’s capital.

“Obama might be a great father, but he is a terrible president,” Rubio declared to an appreciative CPAC audience.

He didn’t limit his criticism of Democratic politicians to Obama.

“Why is it all Republican presidential candidates want to be Ronald Reagan, but no Democrats want to be Jimmy Carter?” he asked.

Rubio criticized the Obama administration for having no energy policy.

“We are an energy-rich country, and we need to use the energy God has blessed the nation with,” he asserted.

Gloves Off: Sen. Rand Paul Blasts HHS Mandate as ‘Authoritarian’ & ‘Totalitarian’
From THEBLAZE.com ~ By Becket Adams ~ Posted on February 8, 2012 at 9:48pm

In an op-ed for National Review online, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) denounces the now infamous decision by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to force religious employers to cover the cost of contraception and abortion-inducing drugs in its employees’ health-care coverage, saying that it’s just one more thing that makes “Obamacare” “socialized medicine.”

Sen. Paul goes so far to say that the decision by the HHS is “something generally witnessed only in totalitarian and authoritarian regimes,” and says that it is a direct violation of religious liberty, for all Christians, not just Catholics.

“Because ‘contraception’ includes abortifacients, this decision — made under the powers granted to the executive branch under Obamacare — also threatens many Protestant employers,” Sen. Paul writes.

“The decision is the latest and most outrageous example of why Obamacare — socialized medicine — must be repealed in its entirety. It is also a shocking example of the administration’s choosing to ignore the opinions and beliefs of millions of Americans.”

Is Gingrich a 'consistent' conservative?
Exclusive: Jane Chastain looks at success rate of Newt as speaker of the House
From WND Commentary ~ By Jane Chastain ~ Published Feb 8, 2012

Newt Gingrich has billed himself as the more “consistent conservative” in the race for the GOP presidential nomination. According to Gingrich, he engineered the 1995 Republican takeover of the House of Representatives, balanced the budget and reformed welfare. If that is the case, why wouldn’t all conservatives want this man in the White House?

In 1994, Gingrich did lead the revolution that enabled Republicans to take control of the House of Representatives for the first time in 40 years. However, his record on balancing the budget and welfare reform needs an asterisk. And, sadly, under his leadership, the GOP quickly lost its footing and became part of the problem in Washington.

Under the Contract with America, Republicans promised a vote on 10 key issues in the first 100 days of GOP control. Gingrich kept that promise and held votes on every one. Unfortunately, his actions assured that two of the most popular items would fail: a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and term-limits.

Obamacare's unconstitutional coercion
Andrew Napolitano: Mandate on Catholics is akin to compelling Jews to eat pork
From WND Commentary ~ By Andrew Napolitano ~ Published Feb 8, 2012

When we were colonists and fought a war against the king and Parliament so that we could secede from the British Empire and be independent of it, we also fought for the value of personal freedom. That is the idea that in matters of personal choice, the government should play no role. The king only cared about the colonists’ personal choices if he could control or tax them.

One of the taxes he imposed was to support the Church of England. The Church of England that the colonists’ tax dollars supported was, of course, in England; it was not here. So, among the hateful taxes that impelled the colonists to revolt was this tax to support the king’s church.

When the Constitution was written, religious freedom was a principal matter for discussion and debate among the framers. They addressed this in the first clause of the First Amendment. Before the Constitution even protects the freedom of speech, it protects the natural right to worship or not to worship, free from the government. Here is what it says: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. …”

That is very direct and clear. It was intended to prevent any tax money from going to a church, and it was intended to keep the government from using its coercive powers to influence or to punish religious institutions. For 125 years, most governments in America left churches alone.

Vice President Rubio? Not so fast
Exclusive: Joseph Farah explains why GOP favorite is ineligible for VP pick
From WND Commentary ~ By Joseph Farah ~ Published Feb 6, 2012

It’s no secret that Joseph Farah, once a popular guest on television news shows, was virtually blacklisted after challenging Barack Obama’s eligibility.

Networks and programs that once extended invitations to me stopped cold shortly after Obama was sworn into office.

Only recently have some brave hosts and producers begun having me back – to talk about other issues, of course.

Last Tuesday night was one of those occasions. I was asked to provide some Florida primary election night analysis on Sean Hannity’s popular Fox News Channel program. Toward the end of the segment, I speculated that Rick Santorum might be positioning himself as a vice-presidential running mate for the eventual nominee.

Hannity said, “I think that [position] is taken. I think it’s gonna be Rubio.”

Yes, sometimes you might look a little bit silly. However, it’s much better to be laughed at for being enthusiastic than to be pitied and avoided for being dull.

Enthusiasm keeps you young, energizes your days, and attracts positive people to your efforts. Enthusiasm keeps you focused on moving forward, even when there are obstacles and distractions working against you.

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Thursday, Feb 2, 2012

Let's begin this post with an excerpt from the latest Daily Motivator, "The richness of today," (Thursday, Feb 2, 2012):

Live this day fully, by applying your effort and focus in meaningful and effective ways. By doing so, you will make the richness of today an enduring part of your life.

Drop your meaningless pretenses and useless worries about the future, and put your energy into living the richness of what is right now. Feel the great opportunity that is in front of you, and make it uniquely yours.

While it is still here, bring today’s richness into your life. And make this day one you can look back upon with satisfaction and immense gratitude.

~ Ralph Marston
I just spent the whole day of February 1 to prepare this post. I felt there was a lot of work to do after my long absence over the last 10 days due to medical needs. There is only one thing that I had to keep in mind: There is no way to retrieve all of the information that I missed, and still know what is going on NOW. "Catching up" is not an option.

Many hours could have been spent in just covering the results of the GOP primary in Florida. Thus, I used my twitter and facebook accounts to bring attention to information that I felt was relevant when producing a full post here would take more time than I had available.

At any rate, I felt compelled over the last 24 hours to do all I could with today's WIFLI, so that I didn't allow "meaningless pretenses and useless worries about the future" to hold me back. They didn't, as you will soon see. I'm just sayin'...

The News Stories:

Farah on Fox TV: Rubio not a natural-born citizen
'We've been through this with Obama now for 4 years'
From WND ~ by Joe Kovacs ~ Published Jan 31, 2012

Sen. Marco Rubio, (R-FL)
Moments after Mitt Romney’s landslide victory in the Florida Republican Primary, WND Editor Joseph Farah declared on national television that Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio would not be a good selection for vice president because he’s not a natural-born citizen of the U.S., and therefore is not legally qualified to hold the office.

“Rubio’s not eligible … because he’s not a natural-born citizen,” Farah told Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel.

Farah’s comment came during discussion about GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who finished third in Florida with 13 percent of the vote, behind Romney’s 46 percent and Newt Gingrich’s 32 percent.

JOSEPH FARAH
“Well, I think Santorum’s doing one of two things,” Farah explained. “I think he’s either trying to position himself as, ‘There’s no mud on me and I’m a bonafide conservative,’ and maybe that’s going to propel him to the front of the race. Or that other thing that had crossed my mind when he was really talking about Newt criticizing Romney, the thought occurred to me, ‘Is he trying to position himself for a vice-presidential candidacy there?’”

Hannity responded, “I think that’s taken. I think it’s gonna be Rubio. That’s my guess.”

“If it’s not, somebody’s lost their mind,” added Democratic strategist Bob Beckel.

“Rubio’s not eligible,” Farah interjected. “You’re going to lose 10 percent of the Republican vote because he’s not a natural-born citizen. We’ve been through this with Obama now for four years. You want to open that can of worms again?"

“I don’t believe that’s going to work,” Hannity said.

Don't count God out
Exclusive: Erik Rush figures Obama team has contingency should eligibility issue blow up
From WND Commentary ~ By Erik Rush ~ Published Feb 1, 2012

By the end of this past weekend, it had become apparent to astute voyagers in cyberspace that references to Obama mentor Saul Alinsky were being scrubbed from the Web. At the same time, it was reported that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had floated the air biscuit vis-à-vis her resignation as secretary of state, supposedly due to the rigors of her job. On Jan. 24, a low-profile news story ran concerning joint police and military drills scheduled to be held in downtown Los Angeles. These would be designed to “ensure the military’s ability to operate in urban environments, prepare forces for upcoming overseas deployments, and meet mandatory training certification requirements,” according to the LAPD.

I’m not going to question precisely who does the scrubbing when people reference scrubbing of the Web, belabor the slim chance that Hillary (of all people) would ever resign due to stress, or rail over why the establishment press sat still for a “not to worry” answer from government over military drills in a major civilian area. Most of the readers of this space could come up with viable assessments of these things before I could finish typing this sentence. My aim here – aside from citing the curious nature of all these occurring in such close temporal proximity – is something altogether different.

The "Why I Hate Religion" Controversy Explored

In a way, I'm not a big fan of the word, "religion." The word can mean so many different things to people. In fact, it's right up there with "politics." Both words lead to great debates just because the words both bring about different opinions, which lead to debate, which leads to arguments and the inability for all of us to just get along.

Time 2 Escape Daily for Saturday, Dec 31, 2011

In this exciting and excellent issue of Time 2 Escape Daily, you will read (assuming you actually click on the links and read the stories and commentaries!) some great stuff, including the profound words of Henry Lamb:
Freedom cannot exist in Obama's vision of a managed market and a managed society. Every citizen must decide whether this nation will yield to Obama's vision, or return to the framer's vision of a government that exists for the purpose of protecting every citizen's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – as defined by every individual – not by the national government.
Hey, that's just a taste of what you will get to read today, or whenever you are up to it. I know, tonight is the last day of the year, typically called New Years Eve. So, when you're able to read text on your monitor without your headache becoming even more severe, you'll want to check this out.

I hope that your expectations weren't overly magnified by using the word "Daily" in the title of these latest posts. The truth is, in the case of this blog, "Daily" is not equivalent to "every day." I'm going to do my best to keep this blog active by posting as often as possible, but I guarantee that I'll be taking Sundays off, and maybe another day during the week. And then there will be those occasions when I'm not able to do any posting for an extended time for various reasons. I do not have a staff to fill in for me when I am "absent." But trust me, when I know that I'll not be able to do any posting, I'll announce it.

But I digress. I think that you will find what Patrice Lewis writes in her latest and last column of the year to be a bit of good advice for all of us to think about on this New Year's Eve:

As we head into the New Year, perhaps it's time to stop making unfulfillable resolutions and decide instead to take a simple course of action: Fill the year with good, sound choices and decisions.

Let's make our elders proud of us. Let's make ourselves proud as well. Happy New Year.
I'm just sayin' ...

The News Stories:

Obama aide blasts Romney's son for eligibility comment
Democrat campaign levels accusation of 'pandering to dead-enders'
From WND ~ December 31, 2011 ~ 12:30 am Eastern ~ By Bob Unruh

Matt Romney, whose father, Mitt, is vying for commitments from Iowa GOP caucus voters this weekend, said his dad would release his financial records when President Obama "releases his grades and birth certificate."

The younger Romney later insisted he was joking, but Barack Obama, in Hawaii now on a vacation estimated to set the taxpayers back some $4 million, saw it as an opportunity to cash in for his campaign. His 2012 fundraising machine immediately posted online: "The Birth Certificate Thing Again?"

"Matt Romney says his dad Mitt will release his tax returns 'as soon as' President Obama releases his birth certificate," the campaign fundraising pitch by "Grant," said today. "This is how the Romney campaign thinks it's going to win the Republican primary: by pandering to the dead-ender fringe of extremists who still question where the president was born."

Unindicted terror 'co-conspirator' gets blog closed down
Islam advocates call critic 'anti-Muslim hate site'
From WND ~ December 30, 2011 ~ 8:28 pm Eastern

The Council on America-Islamic Relations, which is considered by U.S. counterterrorism officials as a front group for the Egypt-based Muslim Brotherhood and was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror finance case, says it has succeeded in silencing a blog where some of the comments cited a desire for violence against Muslims.

According to a statement released by CAIR on PR Newswire, its complaints led WordPress.com to close down the BareNakedIslam.com blog.

In fact, site visitors today were presented with the message, "barenakedilsam.wordpress.com is no longer available. This blog has been archived or suspended for a violation of our Terms of Service."

Romney Brings in Christie in Iowa Final Push
From Newsmax.com ~ Friday, 30 Dec 2011 04:45 PM
DES MOINES, Iowa - White House hopeful Mitt Romney brought in help from New Jersey on Friday to bolster his prospects for a win in Iowa next week that would put him in the lead in the Republican presidential race.

Gov. Chris Christy (R-NJ)
Romney campaigned alongside tough-talking New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in a final frenzy of candidate appearances before Iowa launches the state-by-state contests to choose the Republican nominee who will face Democratic President Barack Obama in the November 2012 election.

Romney, buoyed by an NBC/Marist poll that showed him leading the field ahead of Tuesday's Iowa caucuses, was upbeat about his chances in the Midwestern state that jilted him for former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee in 2008.

"This feels wonderful," Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, told Reuters as he worked a ropeline of supporters outside a grocery store in West Des Moines. "I tell you, the crowds and the enthusiasm couldn't be more wonderful."

Columnists and Their Commentaries:

The defining moment in the future of America ~ By Henry Lamb
From WND - December 30, 2011 at 5:17 pm Eastern

HENRY LAMB
Jan. 1, 2012, is the first day of the last year of the first term of the most "transformative" president in the history of the United States. Before he became president, Barack Hussein Obama told America that "… we are five days away from fundamentally transforming America." During the first three years of his presidency, he has pushed his philosophy of governance further and further away from the philosophy of governance developed by the framers and enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. The defining moment in the future of the United States will come on Nov. 6, 2012, when each citizen casts – or fails to cast – a vote for the next president, and for the legislators who will guide the nation.

Advice from the elders ~ By Patrice Lewis
From WND - December 30, 2011 at 1:49 pm Eastern

PATRICE LEWIS
This week I saw an article entitled "Six Tips From Your Future Self" by Dr. Karl Pillemer. The premise was that if you could meet your older and (presumably) wiser self (say, 50 years from now) and ask for advice, what would it be? Since clearly such a scenario is impossible, Dr. Pillemer did the next best thing: He canvassed 1,200 older Americans (ranging from 60 to 108 years) and asked what advice they would give the younger generation. Specifically they were asked, "What mistakes should younger people avoid?" and what are people "most likely to regret when they get to the end of life?"

What I liked about this article was its logic and good sense. For heaven's sake, if anyone has been-there-done-that, it's the older generation. Yet in keeping with human nature, the younger people in our society continue to dismiss the older generation as a bunch of fuddy-duddies who can't possibly have any knowledge or insight about today's issues, problems and woes.

Right.

Get beyond regret ~ By Ralph Marston
From The Daily Motivator ~ Saturday, December 31, 2011

Regrets are painful echoes of the past. Fortunately, you are situated in the present, where you can take effective action that’s fully informed by your wisdom and experience.

Feel the regrets, and then quickly redirect their energy into meaningful and productive pursuits. Learn from your regrets, act on your knowledge, and soon you’ll have nothing at all to regret.

Sheriff Joe on Obama eligibility probe: 'Where there's smoke ... '

It has been awhile since I have posted anything about Obama's Constitutional eligibility. It was getting to the point where all the stories were becoming redundant. And much of the redundancy was that even if there was unequivocal evidence that the President was not eligible to hold office according to the Constitution, nobody cared.

However, there are people that do care, and will keep on harping on it until the day Obama leaves office. Though I'm not sure what the point is anymore, those that honor the Constitution are people that I can and do respect.

What makes this story different is that it is about an investigation to make sure that President Obama is Constitutionally eligible to have his name on the ballot in Arizona for the 2012 election.

In an interview with WND, Sheriff Arpaio explained:

"I don't know where this is going," he said of the eligibility probe, "but I'll tell you one thing: I'm not backing down. I'm not worried about politics.

"If I get defeated for going after this, well, OK."
Again, I have to emphasize that it really won't matter what the Sheriff's posse finds out. A microfiche showing that Obama was born of Satan would not really matter too much for many people, apparently.

But. now, if we could just get Sheriff Arpaio's posse to after global warming and Al Gore. I'm just sayin'...

Amid probe, Maverick lawman's endorsement sought by top GOP candidates

ORLANDO, Fla. – While the top Republican candidates refuse to touch the issue of Barack Obama's eligibility, at least four are eagerly seeking the endorsement of America's best-known lawman, who told a gathering of Florida tea partiers yesterday that his "Cold Case Posse" probe examining the president's qualification for his state's 2012 ballot is in full swing.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio, known nationally for his tough and sometimes unorthodox enforcement of immigration laws, delivered a steady stream of one-liners at the expense of his fierce critics in an hour-long talk that drew frequent laughter from attendees of the Eastern Orlando Tea Party's "Choose Liberty 2012" conference.

With his trademark prison-issue pink shorts on sale at the back of the room, Arpaio explained why he undertook the controversial "inquiry," as he called it, into the president's eligibility for the Arizona state ballot next year and assigned it to his volunteer team of former cops and lawyers.

He's already come to the conclusion that a simple way to determine the validity of the birth certificate issued by the White House April 27 is to obtain a microfiche version of it. It should exist, he said, since copies from microfiche of birth certificates for twins born the day before Obama, the Nordykes, have been published.

"I would highly recommend to the president that if there is microfilm, let's get it," he told the Orlando crowd. "If we could show he was on the microfilm the next day – that he was born in Hawaii – all the controversy would go."

Arpaio deadpanned that if he can help Obama by proving "through the investigation" that he was born in America, "maybe he'll invite me to Hawaii."

Marco Rubio and eligibility ~ By Robert Klein Engler

Robert Klein Engler brings up some very intriguing points in this column regarding Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and the issue of his Constitutional eligibility to even serve as Vice President of the United States. Because of the questionable eligibility issue regarding the "natural born citizen" requirement in Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States, Rush Limbaugh may not have had it right when he "endorsed" Rubio.

Engler offers very plausible reasons why Marco Rubio can't get the VP slot on the GOP ticket. But what makes this commentary really worth reading is that Engler provokes some thoughtful consideration regarding the eligibility issue. What if there is a potentially great GOP candidate on the 2012 ticket, like Rubio, that may not meet the same eligibility standards that the "birthers" are saying that Obama doesn't meet? What happens then?

Marco Rubio and eligibility

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)
Sen. Marco Rubio's star is rising in the Republican Party. There is talk he may be on the ticket as a candidate for vice president once the party picks its candidate for president. If it's up to the birthers and the Country Club Republicans, Rubio's place on the ticket may not materialize.

For years, the birthers have been treated with disdain by the left and mainstream media. Part of this disdain is generated by fringe elements in the birther community. If the media can overlook these fringe elements, they will see that many birthers are loyal Americans who simply want the U.S. Constitution to be respected. In short, the birther argument against Obama and possibly Sen. Rubio is a constitutional argument.

There are many in the birther camp who argue that when the U.S. Constitution says being a "natural born citizen" (Article II, Section 1) is one qualification to be president and vice president, it means that both parents of the candidate must have been U.S. citizens when the candidate for president was born.

They argue that to be a natural born citizen of the United States requires not only birth on U.S. soil but two parents as U.S. citizens as well. This argument is not spelled out in the Constitution but is an interpretation of the unique phrase "natural born citizen." Nevertheless, there are valid and strong arguments in favor of the two-parent position. Writing in WND, Drew Zahn sums up these arguments.

At the end of his summation, Zahn adds, "The U.S. Supreme Court, for its part, has admitted the Constitution does not define what is meant by 'natural born citizen' and hasn't offered a ruling to solve the dispute."

The very fact that the high court has not defined what "natural born citizen" means is why Marco Rubio will not be a candidate for vice president. Nobody wants to raise this issue in court, let alone Republicans or Democrats.
