Did the birth announcements prove Obama was born in Hawaii?

Various liberal mainstream media pundits have said ad nauseum in their attempts to ridicule "birthers," that the birth announcements that appeared in 1961 in the two Hawaiian newspapers prove that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii, and that he was Constitutionally eligible to be President of the United States. However, Mr. Kerchner has found that there was a problem with the birth announcements in 1961, and Obama's birth announcements could very well be a case of fraud so that he would have U.S. citizenship.
The main stream media is deliberately lying about how these birth announcements got into those newspapers when they tell America that the family placed the ads and that someone was anticipating that someday Obama would run for President. First the family did not place the ads, the state did. And the family member simply filed the false birth registration data on the mail-in form for the obvious purpose of gaining the child U.S. citizenship, a highly coveted status then and now. Birth registration fraud occurs today and it occurred then. And it occurred in 1961 with Obama.
Newspaper Birth Announcement Ads in 1961 in two Hawaiian Newspapers do NOT prove Obama was physically born in Hawaii

By CDR Charles Kerchner
Friday, April 16, 2010

The two announcements in the Hawaiian newspaper in 1961 only prove a birth was REGISTERED there, not that he was born there. A registration was allowed under Hawaiian law in 1961 to be made by any family member via a simple mail-in form to the state Health Department. No 3rd party or independent witnesses to the birth were required. The statement of a family member registering a new born child as born home was accepted into the registration system with little or not questions back then. Thus the family could lie and register a birth in Hawaii when it occurred elsewhere, anywhere in the world, simply to get the child U.S. citizenship, a highly coveted status then and now. The false registration was not done so he could be President some day. The false registration was done to get the new born child citizenship for that time. It was a case of birth registration fraud to illegally gain U.S. citizenship for a foreign born child of the family.

Given Hawaii's very lax birth registration laws in 1961, as I said, Obama could have been born anywhere in the world and if Obama's maternal grandma filled out the form and mailed it in to the birth registration office saying Obama was born at their home in Hawaii, a vital record would be created. And the birth announcement was on the list of births registered that week and which lists were sent routinely each week to the two newspapers. With data systems it is GIGO, garbage (false registration data) in yields garbage out (fraudulently created birth record in the state's vital record system out). And with a falsified birth registration in the system, subsequent computer print outs in later years and carefully crafted statements by Hawaiian officials that they have a record of Obama being born in Hawaii can be obtained and made. But those printouts and statements are being made based on a falsified vital record mail-in registration form back in 1961.

WND.com, an online newspaper, did investigations on this first in 2009. They also did follow on stories in 2010 into how the newspaper ads were placed in those two papers in 1961 and the research revealed that the birth announcements were placed by the state, not the family. See these two article links below and many other articles as to how the Honolulu Advertiser and the other sister pub got the birth announcements from a list from the state each week, not from the families. These were public service birth announcements provided by the state. Garbage/falsified data on the available and simple birth registration mail-in form sent into the birth registration office in 1961 by a fraudulent filing by Obama's grandmother to get her foreign born new grandson U.S. citizenship, illegally but easily given Hawaii's lax laws back then, yielded a birth announcement in the paper for a birth in Hawaii that was registered there but did not physically occur in Hawaii. Obama was physically not born in Hawaii, as James Orengo, Member of Parliament, in Kenya recently attested to, as have other MPs in Kenya and as have members of Obama's paternal line family in Kenya.

Barack Obama's Missing Girlfriends ~ By Jack Cashill

Jack Cashill often writes about his belief that Bill Ayers actually wrote "Dreams From My Father" for Barack Obama. In this piece, he offers up some additional evidence to support his claim. You will want to read the full story (link at the bottom of this page) to find out more about the "missing girlfriends."
I should caution that the analysis I have just offered, according to Remnick, at least, is "mere twinkling in the Web's farthest lunatic orbit." In the complacently flat earth that Remnick inhabits, I am a "little-known conservative writer" with a racist axe to grind, and Christopher Andersen, despite his many bestsellers, does not exist.

On this and even weightier subjects, Remnick would rather you content yourself with his interpretation, which is often no interpretation at all.

The blogosphere abhors a vacuum. So when the mainstream media (MSM) leave holes in a given narrative -- in this case, the biography of the president -- bloggers individually, incrementally, and indefatigably strive to fill in the blanks -- sometimes successfully, sometimes less so.

In his comprehensive, 600-plus-page biography of Barack Obama titled The Bridge, New Yorker editor David Remnick lays down the baseline of what the mainstream media know about the president -- or at least what they want us to know.

Where Remnick falls oddly silent -- not even to scold the blogosphere, which he does often -- is on the question of Obama's love life. This would not be particularly noteworthy save that Obama's 1995 memoir Dreams From My Father is in large part a racial coming-of-age story.

In Obama's all-consuming search for identity, and in Remnick's effort to document that search, Obama's romantic life should surely have featured. Whether he dated white women or black women -- and what he might have learned from either -- matters.

In Obama's ten years of bachelorhood before he met Michelle in 1989, Remnick creates a credible picture of him as a popular, good-looking man about town. Obama's Chicago mentor Jerry Kellerman tells Remnick that Obama dated various women and "was more than capable of taking care of himself." Another Chicago friend, John Owens, claims, "Barack tends to make a strong impression on women." And Remnick refers specifically to an "old girlfriend" that Obama rather coolly abandoned upon leaving Chicago for Harvard in 1988.

And yet, unless I missed something, despite scores of interviews with Obama acquaintances, never do we actually hear from a woman who dated Barack Obama. The same vacuum is apparent in the book Barack and Michelle, Portrait of an American Marriage, by Christopher Andersen. Andersen quotes Obama's New York roommate, Sohale Siddiqi, on the subject of Obama's allure: "I couldn't outcompete him in picking up girls, that's for sure" -- but we do not hear from any of the girls he might have picked up or dated.

In Dreams, Obama creates a similarly romantic image of himself. At one point, when his half-sister Auma visits him in Chicago pre-Michelle, he tells her about a ruptured relationship with a white woman back in New York. He adds, with more than a little calculation, "There are several black ladies out there who've broken my heart just as good," but we do not read as much as a single sentence about any of these.

In Dreams, Obama recalls his early days in Indonesia, when he began to notice "that Cosby never got the girl on I Spy." Curiously, in his own book, he does not do much better.

In Dreams, in fact, the only lover Obama talks about is the mystery woman in New York. Although he speaks of her only briefly and in retrospect, he does so vividly and lovingly. "She was white," he tells Auma. "She had dark hair, and specks of green in her eyes. Her voice sounded like a wind chime." This is no casual relationship. "We saw each other for almost a year. On the weekends, mostly. Sometimes in her apartment, sometimes in mine."

One weekend, the woman invites Obama to her family's country home, which had been her grandfather's, and "he had inherited it from his grandfather." The library is filled with old books and photos of the grandfather with presidents, diplomats, industrialists. "It was autumn," Obama recalls, "beautiful, with woods all around us, and we paddled a canoe across this round, icy lake full of small gold leaves that collected along the shore."

It is during this memorable weekend that Obama experiences something of a racial epiphany. "I realized that our two worlds, my friend's and mine, were as distant from each other as Kenya is from Germany. And I knew that if we stayed together I'd eventually live in hers." This realization inspires Obama to break off this relationship despite a gracious reception by the girl's parents.

Remnick concedes that Dreams is not to be taken at face value. He calls it a "mixture of verifiable fact, recollection, recreation, invention, and artful shaping." On any number of points, all fairly trivial, he attempts to sort out the fact from the fancy. On the subject of this critical relationship, the one and only in Dreams before Michelle, he falls conspicuously silent. The reader of The Bridge would not know that Obama had such a relationship.

Christopher Andersen was more curious but made little headway in confirming the story or identifying the woman. "No one," he writes, "including his roommate and closest friend at the time, Siddiqi, knew of this mysterious lover's existence."

Abhorring a vacuum, I have ventured to fill it. Given Remnick's list of the allowable ways to interpret Dreams -- verifiable fact, recollection, recreation, invention, and artful shaping -- I choose "D" for the mystery woman: "invention." In the absence of any contrary information, best evidence argues for an invention largely of Bill Ayers' contrivance.

Glenn Beck on birther issue: 'Dumbest thing I've ever heard'

From WorldNetDaily
Claims controversy is political 'dream come true' for Obama By Drew Zahn Posted: January 04, 2010 ~ 9:22 pm Eastern © 2010 WorldNetDaily On the air today, popular radio host Glenn Beck mocked "birthers" and claimed there is a concerted campaign to get those questioning Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility onto the airwaves – a strategy Beck said would actually benefit Obama. Glenn Beck"There's always games being played behind the scenes at a talk radio show," Beck said. "Rush has always called them seminar callers. But instead of being coy with the seminar callers or with you, I'm just going to expose the game that is going on. Today there is a concerted effort on all radio stations to get birthers on the air." "I have to tell you, are you working for the Barack Obama administration?" Beck scoffed. "I mean, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." The ongoing dialogue then spun off into ridicule as Beck caricatured those who question the sitting president's eligibility with straw-man arguments reminiscent of jibes made by Obama's apologists in other news outlets. Beck defined birthers as people who believe Obama was born in Kenya or other foreign country, was raised as a Manchurian candidate and somehow brainwashed Hillary Clinton into not exposing his fraud. According to Beck's running joke, birthers believe someone – maybe Obama's KGB "control" – preemptively placed Obama's birth announcement in 1961 Hawaiian newspapers with a "roadmap" of getting an African man into office. As for Obama producing a long-form birth certificate to actually prove his place of birth, Beck questioned, "Why do that when these people ['birthers'] are so discrediting themselves?" The radio host further argued that by distracting the public from actionable issues, "birthers" have become "a dream come true" for Obama, an ideal situation akin to the fantasies of adolescent boys after Hollywood bombshells. "Barack Obama looks at the birthers as Megan Fox," Beck said, referring to the star and sex symbol of the popular "Transformers" films. READ FULL STORY >

Shocker! Judge orders trial on eligibility issue

From WorldNetDaily
Arguments planned Jan. 11 for major Obama challenge Posted: September 08, 2009 ~ 4:42 pm Eastern By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily A California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for a case that challenges Barack Obama's eligibility to be president based on questions over his qualifications under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution. If the case actually goes to arguments before U.S. District Judge David Carter, it will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court, according to one of the attorneys working on the issue. In a highly anticipated hearing today before Carter, several motions were heard, including a resolution to long-standing questions about whether attorney Orly Taitz properly served notice on the defendants, which she had. In a second ruling, Carter ordered that attorney Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation can be added to the case to represent plaintiffs Wiley Drake and Markham Robinson, who had been removed by an earlier court order. Drake, the vice presidential candidate for the American Independent Party, and Robinson, the party's chairman, also were restored to the case. But the judge did not immediately rule on Taitz' motion to be granted discovery – that is the right to see the president's still-concealed records. Nor did Carter rule immediately on a motion to dismiss the case, submitted by the U.S. government, following discussion over Taitz' challenge to the work of a magistrate in the case. The judge did comment that if there are legitimate constitutional questions regarding Obama's eligibility, they need to be addressed and resolved. Carter ordered a hearing Oct. 5 on the motion to dismiss and ordered arguments submitted on the issue of discovery. If the case survives that challenge, a pretrial hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 11 and the trial for two weeks later. The case would be the first time, according to Kreep, that the actual merits of the dispute will have been heard in open court. A multitude of such disputes have been rejected out of hand by various state and federal courts. Even the U.S. Supreme Court repeatedly has rejected urgent appeals to hear the evidence. The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and "possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief." Court document swears Kenyan birth cert legit

From WorldNetDaily
Owner risks perjury in high-profile case to insist Barack Obama born in Africa Posted: September 06, 2009 ~ 7:20 pm Eastern By Drew Zahn © 2009 WorldNetDaily With a scheduled hearing date Tuesday, Lucas Smith, the man who tried to sell an alleged Barack Obama Kenyan birth certificate on eBay, has filed court papers in a high-profile eligibility case insisting – under threat of perjury – that the Obama birth certificate in his possession is the genuine article. Smith filed his affidavit through California attorney Orly Taitz, who has spearheaded several lawsuits challenging Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to serve as president, as part of a case that includes as plaintiff former presidential candidate Alan Keyes. Taitz posted on her blog Smith's declaration, which claims he obtained the alleged birth certificate from Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya, and insists it's real. "The true and correct photocopy of the birth certificate obtained is attached to this affidavit as Exhibit A," the declaration reads. "I declare, certify, verify, state and affirm under penalty of perjury under the laws of the United States of America that the foregoing statements of fact and descriptions of circumstances and events are true and correct." Smith's affidavit, which includes a copy of the certificate, has been filed with Judge David Carter of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Carter is scheduled to preside over a hearing on the case on Sept. 8. Taitz told WND she believes the swiftly approaching court date prompted Smith into action: "He has been in touch with me for quite a while, and he emailed me the document with his signature," Taitz said. "I think he was trying to figure out the most expedient way to bring his message public, and maybe he felt that because I have a hearing coming, that would be the most expedient way." Taitz hopes the court will order expedited discovery, a ruling that would open many of Obama's currently sealed documents, including his college records and Hawaiian long-form birth certificate, to court scrutiny. "We'll see what happens on Tuesday. If Judge Carter has the guts, we may move very fast," Taitz told WND. "If expedited discovery is ordered, I'll be dashing to Occidental College and then be on a flight to Hawaii." [CLICK HERE TO READ ENTIRE STORY]

Obama birth doc update: Kenya sources weigh in

Comparison with similar certificates suggests fakery, WND probe reveals Posted: August 06, 2009 11:03 am Eastern By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily NEW YORK – The Kenyan birth document released by California attorney Orly Taitz is probably not authentic, according to WND's investigative operatives in Africa, though officials in Nairobi do not rule out the possibility President Obama may indeed have been born in their country. WND obtained several samples of Kenyan birth certificates in use around Aug. 4, 1961, the date of Obama's birth, showing differences from the Taitz document. WND reported Sunday on the document Taitz has been trying to authenticate. She filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California requesting the purported evidence of Obama's birth – both the alleged birth certificate and foreign records not yet obtained – be preserved from destruction. She also asked for permission to legally request documents from Kenya and is seeking a subpoena for a deposition from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "I filed the motion with the court asking for expedited discovery, which would allow me to start subpoenas and depositions even before Obama and the government responds," Taitz told WND then. "I am asking the judge to give me the power to subpoena the documents from the Kenyan embassy and to require a deposition from Hillary Clinton so they will be forced to authenticate [the birth certificate]." Is this really smoking gun of Obama's Kenyan birth?

Attorney files motion for authentication of alleged 1960s certificate from Africa Posted: August 02, 2009 11:55 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily WASHINGTON – California attorney Orly Taitz, who has filed a number of lawsuits demanding proof of Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as president, has released a copy of what purports to be a Kenyan certification of birth and has filed a new motion in U.S. District Court for its authentication. This document purports to be a Kenyan certification of birth for Barack Obama, allegedly born in Mombasa, Kenya, in 1961 The document lists Obama's parents as Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Obama, formerly Stanley Ann Dunham, the birth date as Aug. 4, 1961, and the hospital of birth as Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya. Document enlarged to show detail alleges Barack Obama was born at Coast General Hospital in Mombasa on Aug. 4, 1961 No doctor is listed. But the alleged certificate bears the signature of the deputy registrar of Coast Province, Joshua Simon Oduya. It was allegedly issued as a certified copy of the original in February 1964. WND was able to obtain other birth certificates from Kenya for purposes of comparison, and the form of the documents appear to be identical. An enlarged view of the bottom of the documentLast week, a counterfeit document purporting to be Obama's Kenyan birth certificate made the rounds of the Internet, but was quickly determined to be fraudulent. The new document released by Taitz bears none of the obvious traits of a hoax. Taitz told WND that the document came from an anonymous source who doesn't want his name known because "he's afraid for his life." Taitz's motion, filed yesterday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, requests the purported evidence of Obama's birth – both the alleged birth certificate and foreign records not yet obtained – be preserved from destruction, asks for permission to legally request documents from Kenya and seeks a subpoena for deposition from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. "I filed the motion with the court asking for expedited discovery, which would allow me to start subpoenas and depositions even before Obama and the government responds," Taitz told WND. "I am asking the judge to give me the power to subpoena the documents from the Kenyan embassy and to require a deposition from Hillary Clinton so they will be forced to authenticate [the birth certificate]. "I'm forcing the issue, where Obama will have to respond," she said. "Before, they said, 'You don't have anything backing your claims,'" Taitz explained. "Now I have something. In fact, I have posted on the Internet more than Obama has. My birth certificate actually has signatures." Join the petition campaign to demand President Obama resolve the question by revealing his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate! Taitz's most celebrated case involved a military officer, Maj. Stefan Cook, whose order to deploy to Afghanistan was revoked when he challenged Obama's eligibility to hold office. That case has now been refiled in federal court in Florida, raising the specter of a class-action claim among members of the military that their orders aren't valid because of questions surrounding Obama's constitutional eligibility. Taitz told WND she plans to file additional paperwork with the Florida court tomorrow, adding the alleged Kenyan birth certificate to Maj. Cook's case. [CONTINUE READING]

New poll shows birthers growing

Majority of GOP, Southerners question president's birthplace Posted: August 01, 2009 - 12:40 am Eastern By Drew Zahn © 2009 WorldNetDaily In a recent telephone poll conducted by Research 2000 for the website Daily Kos, 58 percent of Republican respondents when asked if Barack Obama was born in the USA answered "no" or "not sure." The Daily Kos, which calls itself "the largest progressive community blog in the United States," nonetheless found a reported 527 Republicans and 601 independents to accompany its 743 Democrats in answering the question. Among Republicans, 28 percent answered they believe Obama was born outside the U.S., while 30 percent answered "not sure." Among independents, 83 percent affirmed their belief that the president was born in the U.S., while an overwhelming 93 percent of Democrats insisted it is so. While the disparity between Republicans and Democrats is massive, the poll also demonstrated that where respondents live also makes a significant difference. According to the website's fine print, "A total of 2,400 adults nationally were interviewed by telephone. A cross-section of calls was made into each state in the country in order to reflect the adult population nationally." Of those respondents living in the West, Midwest and Northeast, 87, 90 and 93 percent, respectively, affirmed they believe Obama was born in the U.S. In the South, however – a region defined to include the states of Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas – fewer than half have accepted the president's claimed birth in the U.S. Only 47 percent of the South's respondents answered the question "yes," while 23 percent answered they believed Obama was born on foreign soil, while 30 percent were unsure of his birthplace. Robert Schlesinger, author of the Thomas Jefferson Street blog on the U.S. News & World Report website, commented on the regional disparity: "Dixie may once have been the so-called land of cotton," Schlesinger writes, "but it has become the cradle of creeping Birtherism." With all categories and regions combined, the Daily Kos reported 77 percent believe Obama was born in the U.S., while 12 percent were unsure. The website then offered the following commentary on the remaining 11 percent of respondents, who answered they believe Obama was born abroad: "11 percent of Americans are Obama-hating conspiracy theorists," writes the blog's founder, Markos Moulitsas Zúniga. Schlesinger offered a different summary. "I had assumed that the Birthers were a loud, bemusing hyper-minority in the GOP, so the poll numbers are startling both for the region and for the party," he writes. [CONTINUE READING]

Will Hawaii destroy Obama's birth certificate?

Investigator cites procedural changes that could allow it Posted: July 31, 2009 ~ 12:45 am Eastern By Bob Unruh © 2009 WorldNetDaily The state of Hawaii has made a series of procedural changes that would allow officials to destroy President Obama's original long-form birth certificate, concealing its contents forever. The warning comes in a report by an investigator commissioned by a retired CIA officer. The report was posted online by the Western Center for Journalism, which withheld the name of the officer. "We know from a document posted on June 10, 2009, on the Department of Hawaiian Homelands website that, up until very recently, either the original paper Certificates of Live Birth and/or scanned images of those paper certificates were maintained by the Dept of Health, and copies of them were provided to confirm claims of Hawaiian ancestry," said a newly posted update to the report. "But if in June 2009 the Department of Hawaiian Homelands has decided that it will no longer require the original Certificate of Live Birth as proof for special privileges and the Department of Health spokesman says firmly that they will no longer provide copies of these original certificates, is it possible that, in the midst of the controversy over where Barack Obama was born, the Hawaiian state govt has destroyed the original paper certificate of live birth?" continued the investigator's report. "This seems almost incredible to me, but the authorities have been so deceptive and evasive on this issue, that it cannot be dismissed as impossible," the report concluded. Even such a draconian move probably would not finish questions about Obama's origins, however, since WND has reported that among other documentation not yet available for Obama is his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and his adoption records. WND reported earlier on the fact that while the Hawaii Health Department says it currently only issues a "Certification of Live Birth," the state's Department of Hawaiian Home Lands required an original "Certificate of Live Birth" to qualify for its programs. "This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth," said the Homelands website. "Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL." However, at the height of questions over the various documents, the state's DHHL suddenly changed its website reference to allow for the "Certification of Live Birth" as a formal authentication document. The eligibility propaganda blitz ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah Posted: July 31, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 In the last two weeks, we have crossed the Rubicon in the media's coverage of Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility. There's little attempt at reporting by Fox, CNN, AP, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the rest. My colleagues in the press have ceased even to allude to facts. They are embarked on what appears to be a well-orchestrated propaganda campaign to assert there is no other reasonable position any informed American can hold except that Obama is a "natural born citizen." It is an accepted article of faith. If one doesn't subscribe to it, you are ex-communicated from the profession and polite society. You become, God forbid, a "birther." Blustering Bill O'Reilly, for instance, just insists Fox News investigated this whole matter a year ago and concluded there was nothing to it. O'Reilly doesn't bother to share any facts gleaned in this investigation. We're just supposed to take O'Reilly at his word – just like we were supposed to take CNN President Jon Klein at his word when he told the world Hawaii had destroyed all the original birth certificates, so therefore the story was "dead." Pardon me, but I'm a journalist. You have to show me the facts before I accept them. What are the facts? To listen to the propaganda press, you would believe that certification of live birth settles the matter of where Obama was born. "He's got a birth certificate!" they exclaim. "It's right here. You can see it on the Internet." However, that document proves nothing about where Obama was born. Nothing! Neither do any of the statements offered by Hawaiian officials who claim to have inspected his birth documents. Nor do the newspaper ads published in 1961. Why? Because you could easily secure one of these documents for a foreign birth. One parent could simply fill out a form, saying the birth took place in Hawaii, and the certification was issued – no questions asked. [CONTINUE READING]

'Birth certificate' seller vanishes into thin air

Dubious eBay character dodges agent, lawyer, verification team By Drew Zahn
© 2009 WorldNetDaily Posted: July 19, 2009 11:23 pm Eastern eBay seller Lucas Smith (left), from online auction pageCEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The eBay seller who first offered – and then promised to reveal to WND – an alleged Barack Obama birth certificate from Mombasa, Kenya, has dropped communications with a team of people offering to help him verify the document, only fueling belief that the sale was a scam. As WND reported, an eBay seller known originally as "colmado_naranja" claimed to have an authentic document from Coast Provincial Hospital in Mombasa proving Obama's birth there at 7:24 p.m. on Aug. 4, 1961. WND followed the ongoing saga, as "colmado_naranja" attempted several times to sell the document, or photos and stories surrounding it, on eBay, only to have the auctions repeatedly removed by site administrators. Eventually, the seller promised to make a YouTube video of his story and reveal the "birth certificate" to WND. Neither promise was fulfilled. WND also launched an investigation into "colmado_naranja," which led through several online aliases and reported collaborators, including Dawnella Wilson, "InspectorSmith" and, eventually, Lucas Smith, a former resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who still claims to have possession of the document. Smith, whose background includes a lengthy criminal record and a reported attempt to sell his kidney to a man in need of organ transplant, nonetheless insists that his motives are above board, even if his past looks dubious. "I do have a background. I've made mistakes in my life," Smith told WND in an email. "It took a guy like me to go and get tangible proof about Obama. I don't mind breaking a few laws or policies here and there. I don't mind paying the military in foreign countries to look the other way ... The military [in Africa] will grant you access to anything for just a few dollars. People are starving. So yes, it takes a guy like me to get things done once in a while." When WND, however, pressed Smith to offer any evidence of the document's validity – a birth certificate number, a photo of the embossed seal on the alleged document, anything – Smith balked. "I'm going to have to meet with my attorney before we can go any further," Smith told WND in a phone interview. "I'd rather have a middle man go between WorldNetDaily and myself." Smith did then authorize a public relations agent to speak on his behalf and hire an attorney, but after several unsuccessful attempts to get Smith to offer any proof of the document's authenticity, the agent has since withdrawn his representation, now convinced the alleged birth certificate sale was nothing but "a money-grabbing fraud." 'My cousin in Kenya' ~ By Joseph Farah

Joseph FarahBy Joseph Farah Posted: July 18, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Barack Obama had some interesting things to say in Italy to a group of African leaders. We don't have a transcript of the exact words. What we have instead is an account from Obama Deputy National Security Adviser Michael Froman. "He shared a personal story," explained Froman. "Everybody knows that his father was from Kenya, that he still has relatives living in poverty, and that while he's president of the United States, he feels poverty in a very personal way because of his family situation." Now understand the context of this statement. Obama was talking about a plan he and other G-8 leaders have been working on to transfer more of your wealth to Africa. Obama has managed to accumulate quite a bit of wealth himself very quickly through his community organizing and book-writing. Apparently, he doesn't feel any sense of personal responsibility toward his own family members in Kenya, many of whom he actually knows through his visits there. Instead, he feels only a "collective" sense of responsibility in which all Americans should be coerced into making life better for his relatives. Do you get the picture here? Froman continued to paraphrase Obama: "His cousin in Kenya can't find a job without paying a bribe, and that's not the fault of the G-8. And when companies can't operate without paying, in some parts of Africa, without paying the 25 percent fee off the top in bribes, that's not colonialism." Let the world know you stand with the Constitution and transparency. Display the "Where's the Birth Certificate?" magnetic bumper sticker. What Obama appears to be saying here is that it doesn't matter who is taking a cut of the action – it's still destructive to the economy. But isn't that exactly what Obama proposes to do here in the U.S. to pay for all his programs – be it "cap and trade" or nationalized health care? Doesn't he want the federal government to take its cut of the action? And isn't that action far bigger than the 25 percent shakedown fee being collected by the thugs in Kenya? I also just can't help but wonder what, if anything, Obama has done personally to help his destitute relatives in Kenya. I'm glad that he feels a sense of compassion for them. But he has the material wealth to aid them. Has he done so? Can he show us through that example how transferring wealth results in long-term success? If it doesn't work on a personal basis – family member to family member – why does he expect it to work through the coercive power of government? I think you know where I'm going: He doesn't expect it to raise the standard of living in those foreign countries. That's not even the point. The point of these programs is to lower the standard of living right here in the U.S. That's his goal. One other amazing comment by Obama in this meeting was translated for the public through Froman's statements to the press. He said the president shared that when his father, Barack Obama Sr., came to the United States from Kenya, that African nation's GDP was higher than Korea's. [CONTINUE READING]

Why is Obama avoiding Kenya? ~ By Jerome Corsi

By Jerome Corsi Posted: July 08, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Why did President Obama decide to skip Kenya, the homeland of his father, on his return visit this week to Africa? Phone call to the White House When I telephoned the White House looking for an answer, I was referred to Thomas F. Vietor, whom I was told was the White House spokesman on issues pertaining to the president's Africa trip. In a long series of e-mails between the White House and WND, Vietor reverted back to campaign mode in his attempt to explain why President Obama has decided to skip Kenya. This was particularly important to me since I traveled to Kenya during the presidential campaign to track down reports that then-Sen. Obama had been born in Kenya, not Hawaii. In researching my 2008 campaign bestselling book "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," I devoted Chapter 5, "Kenya, Odinga, Communism and Islam," to Kenya, focusing on Sen. Obama's extremely close relationship to Kenya's then-presidential contender Raila Odinga, a perennial Kenyan politician whose father Odinga-Odinga, better known as "Double-O" was a professed communist. Raila Odinga himself had been educated by his father in East Germany and had emerged from the experience to name his son "Fidel," after Cuba's communist dictator. At that time, Raila Odinga was claiming his fellow Luo tribesman, Sen. Obama, was a blood cousin. Vietor referred me to an interview President Obama gave to All Africa. In that interview, President Obama expressed that his disappointment with the pace of democracy in Kenya was a key reason he chose not to include Kenya on his trip. "In his most pointed comments on the country of his father's birth, the U.S. president tore into Kenya's leadership saying that 'political parties do not seem to be moving into a permanent reconciliation that would allow the country to move forward," All Africa reporters Oliver Mathenge and Kevin Kelley wrote in an article titled "Obama Scolds Kenya." White House reverts to campaign mode Sen. Obama had traveled to Kenya in 2006 and made a DVD about that trip that he used extensively in his 2008 presidential campaign. When I pointed this out to Vietor, he responded, "I don't understand why the president's visit there in 2006 would determine his travel in 2009, one way or the other but feel free to explain." I tried to explain. "As a U.S. senator, President Obama enthusiastically visited Kenya, the homeland of his father," WND pointed out to Vietor. "Now that he is president, President Obama is going to Ghana without any planned visit to Kenya. What as president does President Obama know about Kenya that makes him not want to go to Kenya that Sen. Obama did not know in 2006?" Vietor's next e-mail answered: "The president looks forward to traveling more widely in Africa in the future, but on this trip he wanted to visit Ghana. I don't understand what a trip in 2006, during which he visited more countries than just Kenya, has to do with his itinerary this week." To be more specific, I then noted: "The reports from Kenya are that President Obama is disappointed in Kenya's progress with democracy under the co-head of state relationship between President Kibaki and Prime Minister Odinga." I continued: "Also, we are told President Obama does not to bring up questions sources such as WND have identified (and I myself identified in "The Obama Nation") regarding extensive ties with Raila Odinga, including Sen. Obama's campaigning in Kenya for Odinga in 2006 and Sen. Obama telephoning Odinga in Kenya, while Sen. Obama was in New Hampshire campaigning in the primary, after the post-election tribal violence in Kenya began." Vietor took this as an opportunity to attack from the White House the critical biography of Obama I wrote during the campaign, "The Obama Nation," a book that was No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list for a month, beginning immediately after it was published in August 2008. "I think our thinking on your book was well documented during the campaign," Vietor wrote from the White House. In response, I pointed out to Vietor that I had the last word on "The Obama Nation" because the presidential campaign had not answered the rejoinder to the Obama campaign criticism of the book I wrote and published. Vietor had no response to that point. [CONTINUE READING]

Kenyan government imposes gag order on Obama family

Sound like they want the truth about his place of birth suppressed. I recall one of his Kenyan relatives saying they witnessed his birth in Kenya. That fact prohibits him from being a legitimate President. It is a shame what this country has become. read more | digg story, submitted by Republiker
