The Fourth Phase. Between 2010 and 2013, Hussein writes that Al Qaeda will aim to bring about the collapse of the hated Arabic governments. The estimate is that “the creeping loss of the regimes’ power will lead to a steady growth in strength within Al Qaeda.” At the same time attacks will be carried out against oil suppliers and the US economy will be targeted using cyber terrorism.

This is immensely prophetic. Recall that the timeline given (2010-2013) coincides remarkably well with the so-called “Arab Spring,” which culminated with Islamic terrorists and their allies taking over the leadership of several Arab countries formerly ruled by secularized autocrats: Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood (which plays Dr. Jekyll to Al Qaeda’s Mr. Hyde); Libya, Al Qaeda/Islamic jihadis; ongoing Syria, Al Qaeda/Islamic jihadis (or their latest manifestation, the Islamic State, Al Qaeda’s “second generation”), etc. It should be remembered that in each of these nations—Egypt, Libya, Syria—the Obama administration played a major role in empowering the jihadis, though in the name of “democracy.”

I can almost guarantee that one of your thoughts as you read this column will be: "Wait a minute, why doesn't President Obama know about this (he has never shown any indication that he understands what is going on), and do our intelligence officials tell the President about the information in this column?" You would think so! But, that is where some of us will come to disagreement.

While some of us are eager to just say that Obama is ignorant of what ISIS is doing, I don't see that as being plausible, even if it was Obama that originally said that ISIS was the "JV" of the Jihadist movement. Only complete incompetence by his intelligence and national security advisers could explain that, but that just doesn't seem to be possible. Any idiot that gets on the internet would know that ISIS is a threat to the Middle East. However, there is that thing about Obama not showing up for intelligence briefings, it isn't his thing...

The other possibility is that Obama actually WANTS an ISIS takeover of the Middle East. I know, that's brutal, but I've had a lot of people tell me that was their opinion, and many of those people gave very good evidence that lead them to this opinion. Obama's narrative about why he doesn't have a strategy YET is just getting old, and I am thinking that we are all really tired of that. How long has he had to determine that ISIS was a threat and to come up with a strategy to defeat and/or destroy ISIS? For over a year, ISIS has been conquering territories that so many of our soldiers had fought and died to win for a "free" Iraq. Now, it's all gone, and ISIS is now moving ever closer to Baghdad! Mosul, Fallujah, Tikrit, Ramadi... just to name several cities now under ISIS control.

Although the birth of the Islamic State and the herald of the caliphate are often regarded as some of 2014’s “big shockers,” they were foretold in striking detail and with an accurate timeline by an Al Qaeda insider nearly one decade ago.

On August 12, 2005, Spiegel Online International published an article titled “The Future of Terrorism: What Al Qaeda Really Wants.” Written by Yassin Musharbash, the article was essentially a review of a book written by Fouad Hussein, a Jordanian journalist with close access to Al Qaeda and its affiliates, including the late Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who pioneered the videotaping of beheadings “to strike terror into the hearts” of infidels (Koran 3:151).

As Hussein explained in the introduction of his book “Al Zarqawi: Al Qaeda’s Second Generation”: “I interviewed a whole range of Al Qaeda members with different ideologies to get an idea of how the war between the terrorists and Washington would develop in the future.”

And in fact the book details the master plan of Al Qaeda — in its “second generation” manifestation known as the “Islamic State” which follows much of Zarqawi’s modus operandi — to resurrect a caliphate. This plan is sufficiently outlandish that Yassin Musharbash, the author of the Spiegel article reviewing Hussein’s book, repeatedly casts doubt on its feasibility. Thus Al Qaeda’s plan is “proof both of the terrorists’ blindness as well as their brutal single-mindedness”; there is “no way” Al Qaeda can follow the plan “step by step”; “the idea that Al Qaeda could set up a caliphate in the entire Islamic world is absurd”; and the following “scenario should be judged skeptically.”

Yet it is all the more remarkable that much of this plan — especially those phases dismissed as infeasible by Musharbash (four and five) — have come to pass.

In what follows, I reproduce the seven phases of Al Qaeda’s master plan as presented in Musharbash’s nearly 10-year-old article, (emphasis added in bold) with my commentary interspersed for context. Phases four and five are of particular importance as they describe the goals for recent times, much of which have come to fruition according to plan.

Friend, are you not feeling the earthquake right under our feet, threatening everything we are and have?

Perversely, our very liberties, our tolerance and protection for religious expression, are being used against us to weaken and destroy our foundations.

Most alarmingly, our president, raised by Muslim fathers and taught Islamic tenets in his early and impressionable years in Indonesia, seems to think America can work with the Muslim Brotherhood, with Director of Intelligence James Clapper claiming the organization is "largely secular."

Is it possible, even credible, that he thinks the Brotherhood can be like the Benevolent Order of Elks or our Rotary Clubs? That they will "fundamentally transform" themselves into the direct opposite of all they've stood for these last 80 years? Is this another example of "never hearing" the rants of his preacher, Jeremiah Wright?

Pat Boone, probably inspired by the horrendous earthquake in Japan, uses an earthquake that he had experienced in 1994 in California to illustrate the idea that "[t]he foundations of our nation are being shaken to the core." Pat's commentary primarily focuses on the Muslim Brotherhood. It is right here in America! Pat asks, "are you not feeling the earthquake right under our feet, threatening everything we are and have?"

At the end of the column, Pat recommends "a visit to frontpagemag.com, to obtain some earthquake knowledge and insurance, while there's still time." Of course, I took him up on that suggestion, and found myself surfing through the site only to find another interesting site, called "DiscoverTheNetworks.org, A Guide to the Political Left."

As Pat endorsed the visit to frontpagemag.com, I would also like to suggest a visit to both of the sites. They are chock full of great information, not just about the Muslim Brotherhood, but also includes a database on DiscoverTheNetwork.org about such actors as George Soros, and much more.

I was just thinking that DiscoverTheNetworks.org would seem to be a great resource for somebody like Glenn Beck, when I found this video of Glenn's endorsement of the site:

I live in California. I've only been through one gigantic earthquake, the one in 1994. It's the last one I ever want to experience.

It was about 4:30 am in Beverly Hills; wife Shirley and I were asleep in our bedz … when it seemed the whole world was suddenly coming apart – over, around and beneath us. There was a cavernous roar, the house was trying to shake apart, glass was falling from every shelf, the floor seemed everywhere like a huge skateboard. It seemed like the end of the world.

In the first few seconds, Shirley was screaming, "Pat! OH GOD! Help us!" As I met her at foot of the bed in the dark chaos, I kept trying to assure her we'd be OK, and I held her tight as we rode out a minute or two in the doorway of our bedroom, quoting Scriptures and praying aloud. After about three minutes of nightmarish upheaval, the quake quieted momentarily, and we made it out the front door, fully expecting to see our two story house cave in behind us.

Thankfully, it didn't. Our house and its contents were spared much of the more horrible destruction that others experienced, but we'll never, ever forget what that earthquake was like. There was nothing reliable to hold on to; even the ceiling might fall on us (as our waving chimney tried to), and the floor might open up and send us heaving into a newly open chasm beneath us. We couldn't call authorities to help us, and what could they do anyway? It was like an antechamber to hell.

Well, my friend, I may be sharing some similar feelings with you right now, as we look at what's happening in and around the United States of America.

The foundations of our nation are being shaken to the core. A government that was intended, as Lincoln proclaimed, to be "of the people, by the people and for the people" has degenerated into a largely unresponsive, irresponsible self-serving and self-perpetuating machine, led by a clique of far-left socialistic "progressives" who intend to control virtually everything, and who will dictate to the people what they can and cannot do.

And while our very constitutional foundations are being shaken and sometimes just willfully ignored, we are being assaulted and infiltrated by a religious ideology that seeks world domination, and is, by its scriptures and directives attributed to its prophetic forebears, commissioned to convert, subjugate – or kill – every last person on earth. This ideology already has over a billion adherents, and it is growing in our bowels daily.

Obama's betrayals and mysterious Libya agenda ~ By Erik Rush

When Obama arrived in the Windy City, Farrakhan had already forged deep ties with Gadhafi. It's no secret that Wright, and to a lesser extent Farrakhan, became Obama's mentors, but it can't help but give pause that Gadhafi, in his terse admonitions to the president and elsewhere, habitually refers to him as "my son."

Precisely what, if any, relationship might Obama have had with the Libyan leader?

In the viral video of that radio interview, Farrakhan's comments appear to contain cryptic, veiled threats of some sort. Does this speak to an even greater betrayal than the casual observer might surmise? Does the president have some unknown motivation for wanting Gadhafi gone?

Erik Rush is definitely on to something here. The questions still remain: What is really going on? Is it about Libya's oil? What did it take for Obama to throw Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and Muammar Gaddafi (or as Erik spells it, Moammar Gadhafi) under the bus?

Last weekend, nearly the entire so-called civilized world mobilized against Libyan overlord Moammar Gadhafi with more alacrity than most living Americans can recall ever having seen. The ostensible rationale for doing so was to protect the Libyan people from Gadhafi, who had promised no mercy in his fight to quell a popular uprising against his capricious and ruthless regime. Under the weakest scrutiny, this humanitarian raison d'être wears thinner than Kate Moss, given the abundance of atrocities currently taking place in such nations as the Congo and Sudan, to name but two.

In light of the duress under which Americans (and in all fairness, Obama himself) have struggled – the economy, rising fuel costs, national security and labor tensions – the imprudence of this engagement has even experts baffled. Some have put the president's actions, inaction and absence on the continent during this period down to incompetence or indecisive tendencies. Conservative pundits continue to counsel Obama to step up and "be a leader." While his leadership qualities have always been in question (since he'd never led anything in his life prior to becoming president), and there are no doubt elements of ineptitude and vacillation in his modus operandi, my inclination is to remind those who are frustrated or mystified that Obama has always had his own unique and inscrutable agenda, even if he has no doctrine nor policy to speak of.

As many of his supporters and allies have discovered, this agenda isn't necessarily in keeping with their interests. Even during the health-care debate in 2010, certain Democrat leaders felt slighted at their being shut out of certain processes. After the Republican wins in November, Obama's brand of damage control infuriated them. The president's determination to go his own way has dismayed benefactor George Soros, who contributed billions in dollars and minions' man-hours to Obama's campaign. Progressive elites the nation over (Hollywood celebrities in particular) have expressed dissatisfaction with his performance.

Last week, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan blasted the president for demanding that Gadhafi step down, for failing to display solidarity with Africans and for being an establishment sellout in general. Farrakhan, as well as Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright, were unceremoniously discarded by Obama during his ascendancy, despite their having been key figures in that ascendancy. When Obama first hit Chicago in 1985 (prior to entering Harvard Law School), he was a young community organizer and wannabe power player. During his three years there, he forged some of the connections that would slingshot him through the political ranks in coming years – and the two clergymen were among them. So it isn't too difficult to determine why there's bad blood there. How bad is it?

I think the pertinent question is: How deep does it run?

'Gopher' of 'Love Boat' victim of Islamic hate?

Mann-Grandy [Fred's wife] said the final insult came when the management informed Fred that she no longer was permitted on the show because of comments she had made about Islam.

Because Grandy still is under contract with WMAL, he could not speak on the record to WND. His wife, however, was a guest host and never an employee of WMAL. She gave WND an explanation.

"We were telling the truth about Islam and someone was telling them [the management] to shut up. My feeling is that CAIR did it. Maybe they didn't, but whatever happened, it rattled them so much that they were willing to tell my husband that I was no longer on the show. They didn't have a clue that he wouldn't have any other choice then but to leave," she said.

Here is another example of an organization that fears the pressure from the Islamic community. And it is even a better example of somebody that refuses to bow down to the pressure. I don't understand why a radio station would fear a backlash from the Muslims in their community. I am sure the Muslims do not make up a very large percentage of the station's listeners. I'd love to know what kind of pressure was put on the management to force them to take Mrs. Grandy off the air!

The wife of former four-term Iowa Congressman Fred Grandy says part of the reason her husband has dropped his radio program in Washington is the evidence from the book "Muslim Mafia," which is based on an audacious six-month undercover operation in which three investigators pretended to convert to Islam and then interned at the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Grandy resigned from his daily talk show, The Grandy Group, on station WMAL in Washington, D.C., days ago after the station management reportedly told his wife she no longer would be on the show.

Catherine Mann-Grandy had been working to expose the subversive Islamic movement in America, and she told WND she was alarmed after reading Mark Steyn's book "America Alone." She said she became even more concerned after reading Muslim Mafia, a WND Books release by P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry.

She had discussed Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR on air, and Fred Grandy began a daily two-minute feature called "Islam for Dhimmis" to expose the Islamic agenda in America.

A dhimmi is a second-class status assigned to non-Muslims in a Muslim-dominated culture.

But Grandy resigned after being informed by WMAL management that he and his wife had to "tone down" their comments about Islam, CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood on air.

Obama's Islamic tilt in Egypt ~ By Tom Tancredo

Both by constitutional separation of powers and by tradition, the president has wide latitude in conducting foreign policy. George Bush waged a war to achieve "regime change" in Iraq and was widely criticized for it. Obama clearly has a different vision of regime change, one that includes anti-American radicals dedicated to the destruction of Western democracy.

What we need most is regime change in Washington, D.C.

The more we learn about Obama's foreign policy, the more we see all of the pieces of the puzzle coming together. This column by Tom Tancredo brings an important point to light. How else does one explain the administration's willingness to include the Muslim Brotherhood in the changing of the regime in Egypt? It can't be ignorance of what the Muslim Brotherhood desires for Egypt. All you would have to do is look on the Muslim Brotherhood's Official English Website:

Founded in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood is the longest continuous contemporary Islamist group. It was initially established, not as a political party, but as a da'wa (religious outreach) association that aimed to cultivate pious and committed Muslims through preaching, social services, and spreading religious commitment and integrity by example. It called on Egyptians to unite to confront imperialism and pursue economic development and social justice.

Huh.... Social justice. Where have I heard that before?

Obama's Islamic tilt in Egypt

The difference between Jimmy Carter's mistakes in handling the 1979 revolution in Iran and Obama's handling of the 2011 revolution in Egypt is that Carter's team made mistakes out of ignorance and naiveté. Thirty-one years later, Obama's diplomatic team cannot claim naiveté in dealing with the Muslim Brotherhood and the radical Islamists. Obama is consciously supporting the Islamists in Egypt and facilitating their rise to power.

How else can one explain the extraordinary statements of James Clapper, Obama's director of national intelligence, in his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, that the Muslim Brotherhood is a "secular organization" that has "eschewed violence"? They operate hospitals in Egypt, so they must be peace-loving humanitarians? Hamas operates charities in the Gaza territory, so they are not really dedicated to the destruction of Israel?

We might forgive some American citizens for being confused about the character and goals of some Islamic organizations disguised as charities, but don't we expect more from our "intelligence community"? As one wit has already observed following Clapper's testimony, we might as well abolish Clapper's agency and save the taxpayers $40 billion if this is the quality of "intelligence" our policymakers are getting from that bureaucracy.

Clapper's statements, made this past week at the height of the Egyptian crisis, might be excused or explained away if they were an isolated incident. But his statements are part of a pattern of mischaracterizing and underestimating the threat from radical Islam. Clapper's testimony can only be viewed as part of the Obama administration's persistent efforts to "humanize" the Muslim Brotherhood and prepare the ground for a new Islamist-run Egyptian government.

Rush Limbaugh: Send Obama to be head of Egypt

Speaking from the White House last night, President Obama encouraged the Egyptian government to begin a peaceful transition.

"An orderly transition must be meaningful, must be peaceful, and must begin now," said Obama, who also noted it's not the duty of other countries to determine who will lead Egypt. "The Egyptian people can do that," he said.

I was listening to Rush when he was talking about Obama's interference, and possible incitement of further violence, in Egypt. Though I chuckled when I heard it, I wasn't really too surprised to hear Rush Limbaugh make the following statement:

"And don't tell me he can't run for president of Egypt because he wasn't born there. I don't want to hear that. Apparently, he can be president anywhere he wants to be."

When it all comes down to it, there appears to be mounting evidence that Obama does have a role in the "protests" in Egypt, and could even be culpable in regard to the ongoing violence and deaths there because of his actions.

PALM BEACH, Fla. – Radio host Rush Limbaugh took a jab today at President Obama by suggesting the American commander in chief be dispatched to Egypt and become head of state there to deal with ongoing violence.

"Why don't we send Obama over to Egypt to be their president?" Limbaugh asked rhetorically on his program.

"And don't tell me he can't run for president of Egypt because he wasn't born there. I don't want to hear that. Apparently, he can be president anywhere he wants to be. Maybe a movement to get Obama's name on the Egyptian ballot. He likes it over there. I'm halfway serious about this."

U.S. 'held secret meeting with Muslim Brotherhood'

Last week, a senior Egyptian diplomat stated the Egyptian government suspects elements of the current uprising there, particularly political aspects, are being coordinated with the U.S. State Department and Obama administration.

The senior Egyptian diplomat told WND the Mubarak regime suspects the U.S. has been aiding protest planning by Mohamed ElBaradei, who is seen as one of the main opposition leaders in Cairo.

ElBaradei, former International Atomic Energy Agency chief, has reinvented himself as a campaigner for "reform" in Egypt. He is a candidate for this year's scheduled presidential elections.

You just have to watch the following segment with Journalist and Iran expert Lisa Daftari, and then read this column, to wonder if our President and the State Dept. really have a clue. Do they know what they are doing? It is pretty bad when you have to wonder whose side they are actually on. Discussed fall of Egypt with group dedicated to Islam's global spread

JERUSALEM – The Egyptian government has information a diplomat at the U.S. embassy in Cairo secretly met yesterday with a senior leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, the nation's major Islamist opposition group, WND has learned.

The topic of the meeting was the future of Egypt following the "fall" of President Hosni Mubarak, an Egyptian intelligence official told WND.

The claim comes amid charges from Cairo that the Obama administration has been encouraging the protests rocking Egypt and targeting the rule of Mubarak, a key U.S. ally in the Middle East.

The Egyptian intelligence official told WND his government has information of a meeting that took place yesterday between Issam El-Erian, a senior leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Frank Wisner, a former U.S. ambassador to Egypt.

The Obama administration dispatched Wisner to Egypt this past weekend to report to the State Department and White House a general sense of the situation in the embattled country.

The Egyptian intelligence official speaking to WND said the meeting took place inside the American embassy in Cairo

The U.S. State Department would neither confirm nor deny the report.

The Muslim Brotherhood seeks to spread Islam around the world, in large part using nonviolent means. Hamas and al-Qaida are violent Brotherhood offshoots.

The latest information is not the first charge by the Egyptian government that the Obama administration has been working with or encouraging the opposition to Mubarak.

All the blame falls on 'peace flotilla' ~ By Barry Farber

Barry Farber is absolutely correct about where to place the blame for the incident in the Mediterranean. However, not only should Israel not take the any of the blame, but it should also be mentioned that the entire "peace flotilla" was all a set-up to begin with. The "peace flotilla" was far from being anything peaceful. It was being run by a Islamic terrorist organization, the IHH, tied to the Muslim Brotherhood. Even though other countries that are blaming Israel have seen the videos, and should know that Israel was not to blame for the violence, they continue on with their excuse to blame Israel for it.

To think that the United States is supposedly staying "neutral," and not siding with Israel, is a blow to our greatest allie. So, how "brave" are those who refuse Israel's invitation to deliver the aid peacefully and, instead, stage a wholly unnecessary defiance to send aid to a country that's not occupied, just pre-occupied with trying to destroy its helpful-if-hated neighbor. Are you among those who wish our wars weren't as morally muddled as they've been lately? Do you long for the moral clarity of World War II – clear-cut good guys and bad guys? If so, congratulations. You've got it here and now in the waters off Gaza.

On one side you have darkness, dictatorship, torture, religious oppression, summary execution for brothers suspected of disloyalty, beheadings for courageous journalists who chase truth, honor killings for young daughters curious about the taste of lipstick, utter subjugation of women, a swath of territory the size of the moon with the word "Failure" writ large all over it, scripture that demands extermination of those who don't believe – there's more, but that's enough.

On the other side you've got a little country sinking under the weight of its Nobel Prizes, dazzling medical discoveries, life-lifting inventions, miraculous greenery that was desert a mere historical eye-blink ago, a country with a judicial system that punishes its own soldiers who wantonly harm enemy civilians, a country open to every race and religion, the only democracy between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pacific Ocean – there's more, but that's enough.

Israel has politely served notice on the world that, "We shall not be so inexpensively exterminated again."

The speed of light is impressive, but it's no match for the power of ignorance. Facts don't cease to be facts just because bad people hate them. Here's what major media worldwide want you to believe: "Israel has committed a murderous assault on a peaceful flotilla seeking nothing but the bringing of humanitarian aid to the embattled citizens of Gaza." And that, friends, is a commodity found in abundance wherever bulls congregate.

Paul Harvey, please come back! Never have we needed "the rest of the story" more urgently. In a way, Gaza is occupied – by Hamas! Hamas refused to recognize Israel and has lobbed 10,000 explosive reminders of that into Israeli villages.

Now then, what about this "humanitarian aid"? Are you aware that Israel warned loud and long against any attempt to break its well-justified blockade? That doesn't impress you! Very well, are you aware that Israel invited the flotilla to sail nonviolently into the southern Israeli port of Ashdod where the cargo would be inspected to weed out any weaponry that might have "accidentally" gotten mixed up with the humanitarian aid, whereupon the aid would have been shipped unmolested into Gaza?

That may trouble the blockade-busters a bit because that strips the true motivation of the flotilla down to very thin underwear. And, of course, that genuinely humanitarian gesture by Israel was rejected by the "peace activists," thereby offering courtroom-proof that the true motive of the expedition was precisely to provoke the confrontation with Israel that they achieved. Are you aware the "peace activists" had children aboard, knowing they were going to violate international maritime law against an Israel generous with its warnings? Sound familiar?

Nobody had to die. Nobody had to suffer a bent fingernail. But allowing the truly humanitarian portion of the cargo to enter through Israel would not have given the "peace activists" the heroic mantle of "defiance" for which they staged the whole diseased enterprise. The Israeli commandos were armed with paintball guns; you know, the kind the militia trainees play with in the woods of the Dakotas.

• the book would almost certainly result in some sort of frivolous lawsuit by CAIR in a desperate attempt to salvage its reputation as a "Muslim civil rights group";

• the thoroughly documented book based partly on a daring undercover operation inside CAIR would finally result in making the media and public aware of the group's standing as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator and U.S. front for the Muslim Brotherhood;

Well, we got our frivolous lawsuit. But never in my worst nightmares about the timidity and political correctness of the establishment press could I have imagined the way every co-called news organization in America would collectively run and hide – ignoring the book's explosive and meticulous research and keeping critical national security information from the public. Even though Glenn Beck of Fox News was a target of CAIR, he ignored the book. Even though Bill O'Reilly was a target of CAIR, he ignored the book – and, even worse, kept inviting members of the group to appear on his top-rated show without confronting them on any of the material. Not one Fox News show has to date shown any interest in the book or the monumental First Amendment suit it inspired. Not one CNN show has acknowledged the book or the lawsuit. Not one NBC, CBS or ABC news show has touched on it. The Associated Press has ignored it. The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and every other newspaper in America has failed to report on it. Out of fear or journalistic compromise, the media have taken a collective powder. It's a scandal almost as big as what the book itself has revealed. We don't have a free press in America. Apparently, we don't even have the vestige of a free press in America. That's my only conclusion. But it gets worse. Since the publication of the book, the lawsuit filed by CAIR has resulted in some dramatic developments and new disclosures. Last week, WND (and only WND) reported that 12,000 pages of internal CAIR documents captured by researchers during their investigation and sought by CAIR in the lawsuit were instead turned over to the FBI, which deemed them significant enough to subpoena them after a U.S. judge ordered they be returned to the group. Is Fox News doing a great job of telling you what you need to know as a self-governing American citizen? I suspect many reading this column will readily answer with an enthusiastic "yes" to all three of those rhetorical questions. It is with that expectation I carefully alert you to a major and disturbing concern I have about the Fox News Channel – one based on personal experience as well as facts that have been withheld from you if Rupert Murdoch's alternative to CNN is your primary source of news. Fox News is still inviting spokesmen from the Council on American-Islamic Relations on its programs where they pose as reasonable and legitimate representatives of a Muslim "civil rights" organization, despite the fact that CAIR has been definitively exposed by the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department as a "co-conspirator" in the largest terrorism-financing trial in American history, as a front for the international Muslim Brotherhood – the notorious parent organization of Hamas and al-Qaida – and for being closely associated with a large number of convicted terrorists or felons in terrorism probes, as well as suspected terrorists and active targets of terrorism investigations. Recently, after the "Christmas bomber" almost killed 288 people over Detroit, CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper was given an entire segment on "The O'Reilly Factor" to argue that Muslims should never be profiled because being a follower of Islam doesn't make an airline passenger any more likely to be a terrorist than being a Swedish grandmother. The real danger, he explained, is that Muslims in America are going to be unfairly persecuted by bigoted Americans. How could this happen, especially after the recent release of the devastating exposé of CAIR and its network of jihadi-supporting allies, "Muslim Mafia," which caused leaders of the bipartisan Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus to hold a Capitol Hill press conference demanding multiple federal investigations of CAIR? More to the point, why has Fox News, among others in the media, blacked out any and all reporting on the blockbuster book, based in part on a daring and successful six-month-long, ACORN-style undercover operation to expose CAIR? For some possible answers, let me introduce you to Saudi Prince al Waleed bin Talal, nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. You might remember Talal for his moment of infamy in the landscape of American political culture: In October 2001, right after the World Trade Center destruction at the hands of primarily Saudi terrorists, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani famously turned down his offer of a $10 million donation for disaster relief after Talal suggested U.S. policies in the Middle East were actually to blame for the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Federal prosecutors now agree that, far from being a benign nonprofit, CAIR is the spearhead of an anti-American conspiracy to support terrorism and institutionalize Saudi-style rule in America. And they warn in court filings that its participation in that conspiracy is "ongoing." The media elite are now expressing shock that the military and government officials turned a blind eye to Hasan and his extremist connections. The real shock is that this elite continues to legitimize a group that has similar ties.

Nidal Malik Hasan's links to al Qaeda cleric Anwar Aulaqi, who exhorts American Muslims to kill US soldiers, so did our leaders long turn a blind eye to a "mainstream" Muslim group's ties to this same 9/11-tied imam and other Islamic extremists. For years, our media and government routinely accepted and even promoted the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations as a legitimate voice of Muslim Americans, buying into its claim to be the Muslim ACLU. In fact, CAIR is a radical Saudi-funded front group founded by leaders of the terror-supporting Muslim Brotherhood to infiltrate Washington and defend extremists. More than a dozen of CAIR's leaders have been jailed or otherwise implicated in support of terrorism -- yet its spokesmen until recently were welcomed in the highest corridors of power. They still boast of meeting with then-President George W. Bush after 9/11. "From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists," Assistant US Attorney Gordon Kromberg stated in a recent court filing. The Justice Department has named CAIR an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror-finance case in US history -- the Holy Land Foundation trial, which ended last year with convictions on all 108 counts. And the FBI last year cut off formal ties to CAIR and its national leaders as well as all 30 branch offices across the country. That the FBI maintained formal relations with CAIR for years is itself a scandal -- but at least the bureau, unlike other federal officials, has seen the light. Sen. Chuck Schumer is demanding the FBI's anti-CAIR ban "be government-wide policy." But Attorney General Eric Holder hasn't gotten the message. He plans to speak on Nov. 19 to a Detroit coalition of law enforcement and Muslim groups. The event lists the local CAIR chapter as a participant -- which is bizarre, because the chapter head recently rushed to defend a radical CAIR-tied imam killed in a shootout with FBI agents.
