Mann-Grandy [Fred's wife] said the final insult came when the management informed Fred that she no longer was permitted on the show because of comments she had made about Islam.

Because Grandy still is under contract with WMAL, he could not speak on the record to WND. His wife, however, was a guest host and never an employee of WMAL. She gave WND an explanation.

"We were telling the truth about Islam and someone was telling them [the management] to shut up. My feeling is that CAIR did it. Maybe they didn't, but whatever happened, it rattled them so much that they were willing to tell my husband that I was no longer on the show. They didn't have a clue that he wouldn't have any other choice then but to leave," she said.

Here is another example of an organization that fears the pressure from the Islamic community. And it is even a better example of somebody that refuses to bow down to the pressure. I don't understand why a radio station would fear a backlash from the Muslims in their community. I am sure the Muslims do not make up a very large percentage of the station's listeners. I'd love to know what kind of pressure was put on the management to force them to take Mrs. Grandy off the air!

The wife of former four-term Iowa Congressman Fred Grandy says part of the reason her husband has dropped his radio program in Washington is the evidence from the book "Muslim Mafia," which is based on an audacious six-month undercover operation in which three investigators pretended to convert to Islam and then interned at the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Grandy resigned from his daily talk show, The Grandy Group, on station WMAL in Washington, D.C., days ago after the station management reportedly told his wife she no longer would be on the show.

Catherine Mann-Grandy had been working to expose the subversive Islamic movement in America, and she told WND she was alarmed after reading Mark Steyn's book "America Alone." She said she became even more concerned after reading Muslim Mafia, a WND Books release by P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry.

She had discussed Islam, the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR on air, and Fred Grandy began a daily two-minute feature called "Islam for Dhimmis" to expose the Islamic agenda in America.

A dhimmi is a second-class status assigned to non-Muslims in a Muslim-dominated culture.

But Grandy resigned after being informed by WMAL management that he and his wife had to "tone down" their comments about Islam, CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood on air.

Until now, I have hesitated to be this blunt with my questions regarding Fox News Channel's editorial integrity. I like Fox News. There are many very good people working there. In many ways, Fox is a welcome breath of fresh air from the competition on both cable and broadcast television. But, at the same time, if I did not point out the way the network has apparently compromised itself on coverage of both the Middle East and key domestic issues through its ownership, I would be withholding important facts and analysis from you and compromising my own integrity.

The blackout of coverage of "Muslim Mafia" and the major lawsuit surrounding it, alongside Fox's continued pandering to CAIR – a group the U.S. Justice Department and FBI both say unequivocally is tied to terrorism – make it impossible for me to be silent any longer.

This is not a new story – sadly.

It's one I've touched on before, hoping that calling out Fox News' irresponsible shilling for a Muslim Brotherhood front group might give Rupert Murdoch and his Saudi investors something to think about.

Obviously, the gentle nudging did not work.

Not only has Fox News continued to showcase the Council on American Islamic Relations as if it were truly a "Muslim civil rights group," it has actually stepped up its shameless promotion of the Hamas-connected unindicted terrorist co-conspirators at CAIR.

The latest example came last Friday, when "America Live" host Megyn Kelly asked CAIR's national legislative director, Corey Saylor, to comment about radical Muslims who threatened the creators of the cartoon "South Park" with violence. Naturally, Kelly never bothered to mention CAIR's own deep links to radical jihadist Islam.

In fact, not once has Fox News, joined at the hip itself with Saudi ownership, ever mentioned these well-documented connections in all of the hundreds of appearances CAIR officials have made on the network.

Pseudo-civil libertarian Saylor, by the way, has campaigned hard to ensure evangelical leader Franklin Graham be denied a role at the National Day of Prayer even though CAIR claims to support "the desirable goal of bringing Americans, regardless of their faith traditions, together in prayer."

In other words, he wants Muslims in and Christians and Jews out.

More than a dozen employees, officials and board members of CAIR have been indicted, arrested or convicted of terrorism-related charges. Still, the group is sought out by Fox and other major media outlets as a respectable organization representing the interests of American Muslims.

However, CAIR is sustained by foreign cash – not the largesse of American Muslims in need of a civil-rights champion.

But maybe that's what CAIR and Fox have in common.

Meet Saudi Prince al Waleed bin Talal, nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. You might remember Talal for his moment of infamy in the landscape of American political culture: In October 2001, right after the World Trade Center destruction at the hands of primarily Saudi terrorists, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani famously turned down his offer of a $10 million donation for disaster relief after Talal suggested U.S. policies in the Middle East were actually to blame for the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

A few years ago, Talal, who then owned 5.5 percent of the Fox News Channel's parent company, News Corp., boasted of his influence on the network's principal owner, Rupert Murdoch, and explained how he persuaded him to alter on-air content about "Muslim riots" in France to make them more palatable to adherents of Islam.

More recently, Talal and Murdoch greatly expanded their business partnerships to give Murdoch a significant stake in Middle East television programming and advertising.

Do I begin to paint a picture of possible media compromise?

• the book would almost certainly result in some sort of frivolous lawsuit by CAIR in a desperate attempt to salvage its reputation as a "Muslim civil rights group";

• the thoroughly documented book based partly on a daring undercover operation inside CAIR would finally result in making the media and public aware of the group's standing as an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator and U.S. front for the Muslim Brotherhood;

Well, we got our frivolous lawsuit. But never in my worst nightmares about the timidity and political correctness of the establishment press could I have imagined the way every co-called news organization in America would collectively run and hide – ignoring the book's explosive and meticulous research and keeping critical national security information from the public. Even though Glenn Beck of Fox News was a target of CAIR, he ignored the book. Even though Bill O'Reilly was a target of CAIR, he ignored the book – and, even worse, kept inviting members of the group to appear on his top-rated show without confronting them on any of the material. Not one Fox News show has to date shown any interest in the book or the monumental First Amendment suit it inspired. Not one CNN show has acknowledged the book or the lawsuit. Not one NBC, CBS or ABC news show has touched on it. The Associated Press has ignored it. The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and every other newspaper in America has failed to report on it. Out of fear or journalistic compromise, the media have taken a collective powder. It's a scandal almost as big as what the book itself has revealed. We don't have a free press in America. Apparently, we don't even have the vestige of a free press in America. That's my only conclusion. But it gets worse. Since the publication of the book, the lawsuit filed by CAIR has resulted in some dramatic developments and new disclosures. Last week, WND (and only WND) reported that 12,000 pages of internal CAIR documents captured by researchers during their investigation and sought by CAIR in the lawsuit were instead turned over to the FBI, which deemed them significant enough to subpoena them after a U.S. judge ordered they be returned to the group. But advocates of the senator's position argue correct profiling would not automatically regard a Muslim as a terror suspect. CAIR itself has been designated by the Justice Department as an unindicted terrorist conspirator, and the FBI has cut off its once-close ties with the group. Speaking at a review Thursday of the Fort Hood shootings by the Senate Armed Services Committee, Inhofe said, "I'm, for one – I know it's not politically correct to say it – I believe in racial and ethnic profiling." Is Fox News doing a great job of telling you what you need to know as a self-governing American citizen? I suspect many reading this column will readily answer with an enthusiastic "yes" to all three of those rhetorical questions. It is with that expectation I carefully alert you to a major and disturbing concern I have about the Fox News Channel – one based on personal experience as well as facts that have been withheld from you if Rupert Murdoch's alternative to CNN is your primary source of news. Fox News is still inviting spokesmen from the Council on American-Islamic Relations on its programs where they pose as reasonable and legitimate representatives of a Muslim "civil rights" organization, despite the fact that CAIR has been definitively exposed by the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department as a "co-conspirator" in the largest terrorism-financing trial in American history, as a front for the international Muslim Brotherhood – the notorious parent organization of Hamas and al-Qaida – and for being closely associated with a large number of convicted terrorists or felons in terrorism probes, as well as suspected terrorists and active targets of terrorism investigations. Recently, after the "Christmas bomber" almost killed 288 people over Detroit, CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper was given an entire segment on "The O'Reilly Factor" to argue that Muslims should never be profiled because being a follower of Islam doesn't make an airline passenger any more likely to be a terrorist than being a Swedish grandmother. Federal prosecutors now agree that, far from being a benign nonprofit, CAIR is the spearhead of an anti-American conspiracy to support terrorism and institutionalize Saudi-style rule in America. For years, our media and government routinely accepted and even promoted the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations as a legitimate voice of Muslim Americans, buying into its claim to be the Muslim ACLU. In fact, CAIR is a radical Saudi-funded front group founded by leaders of the terror-supporting Muslim Brotherhood to infiltrate Washington and defend extremists. More than a dozen of CAIR's leaders have been jailed or otherwise implicated in support of terrorism -- yet its spokesmen until recently were welcomed in the highest corridors of power. They still boast of meeting with then-President George W. Bush after 9/11. "From its founding by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, CAIR conspired with other affiliates of the Muslim Brotherhood to support terrorists," Assistant US Attorney Gordon Kromberg stated in a recent court filing. CAIR currently features Imam Siraj Wahhaj's name on the opening flash page to its website, along with co-keynote speaker Dalia Mogahed, who sparked controversy of her own recently when she defended Shariah, or Islamic law, on a British television show hosted by a member of an extremist Muslim group, insisting the majority of women around the world associate Shariah with "gender justice." Mogahed, senior analyst and executive director of the Gallup Center for Muslim Studies, was appointed to President Obama's Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. CAIR, which itself was designated an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror-financing case in U.S. history, responded Wednesday to a press conference at the U.S. Capitol in which four House Republicans called for an investigation of CAIR's activities on Capitol Hill, based on documents obtained in a daring undercover operation that formed the basis for the newly released book "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," published by WND Books CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper, who is on record stating he hopes to see the U.S. become a Muslim nation, dismissed the lawmakers' claims. "It's a shame to see elected officials take part in a smear campaign based on bigotry," Hooper told The Hill newspaper. But the book by counter-terrorism investigator P. David Gaubatz and "Infiltration" author Paul Sperry produces evidence, based in part on 12,000 pages of internal documents, that CAIR's ultimate purpose is to transform the U.S. into an Islamic nation under the authority of the Quran. The evidence affirms CAIR is part of an organized crime network in America made up of more than 100 other Muslim front groups that collectively comprise the U.S. branch of the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood. In an attempt to prevent the press conference from taking place, CAIR's in-house legal counsel faxed a letter to the lawmakers alleging the book's authors had engaged in "criminal actions" and warning that a report already had been filed with law enforcement authorities. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., the chairwoman of the 100-plus member Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus, held a press conference on Capitol Hill with three of her colleagues who called for a probe of CAIR's efforts at placing interns in offices of senators and representatives serving on sensitive committees dealing with homeland security and intelligence matters. Myrick and her colleagues learned of the plot from documents made public for the first time in "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," a new book by P. David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry that rose to the top of the best-sellers lists yesterday on its official debut. However, CAIR, an unindicted terrorist co-conspirator according to both the FBI and Justice Department, issued a press release yesterday saying it was comforted by attacks on the press conference and the book by other members of Congress and members of the media. Supporting comments by Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Calif., and Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., were singled out for praise by CAIR. "I am appalled by this request (for an investigation of Muslim 'spies' in Congress) and the insinuation that Muslim-Americans are somehow conspiring against this country through their work on Capitol Hill," said Sanchez. "As a strong advocate for diversity and religious freedom, I find these claims to be outrageous and offensive. I urge the rest of my colleagues to join me in denouncing this witch hunt, which is clearly intended to create fear and distrust in our Capitol Hill community." Conyers had this to say: "It shouldn't need to be said in 2009, and after the historic election of our first African-American president, but let me remind all my colleagues that patriotic Americans of all races, religions and beliefs have the right – and the responsibility – to participate in our political process, including by volunteering to work in congressional offices." CAIR also cited certain media organizations for their coverage of the Myrick event and the book. "An article in Salon.com called the actions of the elected officials who launched the anti-Muslim book the 'most despicable domestic political events of the year,'" the CAIR press release said. "The article calls the co-author of 'Muslim Mafia' a 'ranting, insane hatemonger.'" CAIR also mentioned an article in Politico that characterized CAIR's efforts on the Hill as a "fairly straight forward public relations and lobbying strategy." CAIR did not mention that it tried to get the press conference called off by making sweeping and unsubstantiated accusations against one of the authors of the book – even threatening them with civil and criminal charges.
