I learned about JJ McNown on Twitter. His handle there is @jjmcnown. I've met a lot of pretty cool people over on Twitter. There is a ground swell of people that feel what I feel.
It isn't the proverbial "fad" like some on the left would try to tell you. It isn't a bunch of people that jumped on a bandwagon because it was the cool thing to do - at the moment. No, heck no! It is because a bunch of people found out that there were a bunch of people that felt the same way that a bunch of people felt - which was, this country is falling apart because of a certain mindset in the "political class" known as the Left...
Okay, enough of my rant. Just check these things out. I know you are busy. I know it's hard to keep up on everything, always so much to do. However, I say that with emphasis, I'm about to make my own announcement soon, on a way we can help you stay informed while being so busy with life.

Missing Libyan Jetliners Raise Fears of Suicide Airliner Attacks on 9/11 ~ By Bill Gertz
Counterterrorism expert Sebastian Gorka said that if the theft is confirmed, the stolen aircraft could be used in at least two ways.
“The first would be how commercial airliners were used on Sept. 11, 2001, literally turning an innocent mode of mass transit into a super-high precision guided missile of immense potency,” said Gorka, who holds the Maj. Gen. Charles Horner chair at Marine Corps University in Quantico, Va.
“The second tactic could be to use the airframe with its civilian markings as a tool of deception to insert a full payload of armed terrorists into a locale that otherwise is always open to commercial carriers,” he said.
Michael Rubin, a counterterrorism specialist with the American Enterprise Institute, said commercial jetliners in the hands of terrorists could be formidable weapons.
“Who needs ballistic missiles when you have passenger planes? Even empty, but loaded up with fuel they can be as devastating,” Rubin said.
The video below, along with the description for it, will fill in for my commentary on this story:
The terrorists WILL have a strategy for our defenses!
I do hope that you just watched that video, and read the description. On the upside, I'm sure our military have thought of a plan to deal with human shields on the jetliners being used as weapons. But, on the downside, I really hope that I didn't give terrorists any ideas that they had not thought of yet. Just sayin'...

Egypt set for military intervention as Libya spirals toward failed state

From The Washington FreeBeacon.com
Islamist militias in Libya took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetliners last month, and western intelligence agencies recently issued a warning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across North Africa.
Intelligence reports of the stolen jetliners were distributed within the U.S. government over the past two weeks and included a warning that one or more of the aircraft could be used in an attack later this month on the date marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against New York and Washington, said U.S. officials familiar with the reports.
“There are a number of commercial airliners in Libya that are missing,” said one official. “We found out on September 11 what can happen with hijacked planes.”

VIDEO: Obama, news flash: Without victory, there is no survival!
For this video, I didn't think that there was a need to write a complete syllabus. Rather than trying to summarize all that Judge Jeanine Pirro said in this Opening Statement segment, it would be much better for you to just watch it! My short one paragraph description in the Facebook video is just enough to hopefully influence you to watch this one. You won't be sorry! Candidate for FBI post has history in scandals ~ By Jerome Corsi
Role in not preventing 9/11I think that once you read this article by Jerome Corsi, you will understand why the choice of Jamie Gorelick to head up the FBI would be an extremely bad decision by the Obama administration.
Also, from 1994 to 1997, while serving in the Department of Justice as a deputy attorney general, Gorelick wrote a 1995 memo creating what in time became known as the "Gorelick Wall."
Basically, the Gorelick memo set in stone the Clinton-era doctrine that terrorism was to be regarded as a criminal justice problem. That meant information developed by intelligence agencies was not to be shared with criminal investigative units, including the Department of Justice, largely because the regulations under which intelligence agencies operate did not necessarily protect the civil rights of criminal suspects under U.S. law.
Gorelick's role in writing the memo was not generally known until she was appointed by then-Senate Democratic Party minority leader Tom Daschle to serve as a commissioner on the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, commonly known as the 9/11 Commission.
Her participation as commissioner became controversial when then-Attorney General John Ashcroft in his testimony to the 9/11 Commission declassified and brought to light the 1995 Department of Justice memorandum authored by Gorelick.
Appearing before the 9/11 Commission, Ashcroft testified, "Although you understand the debilitating impact of the wall, I cannot imagine that the commission knew about this memorandum, so I have declassified it for you and the public to review. Full disclosure compels me to inform you that its author is a member of this commission."
After you read Jerome's column, be sure to also read the two stories linked below under RELATED STORIES. First, Ellis Washington will help you understand more about "Gorelick's Wall" and how it helped to undermine our anti-terror efforts. But, it will be the second story that goes way beyond what even Jerome Corsi mentioned in this column. Jack Cashill discusses how Jamie Gorelick hijacked the 1996 Pan Am 800 crash investigation, and possibly assisted in a cover-up of what may have been an act of terrorism.
In all that I've read about Jamie Gorelick, in these stories and many more, I need to tell you that as the Director of the FBI, she would be a severe detriment to this country's national security. With Gorelick, along with Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, and Attorney General Eric Holder, our safety, national security, and freedom would all be in grave danger.
I believe that if Gorelick is Obama's choice for the Director of the FBI job, she would have to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. I think this would be a good time to write your Senators so that we can prevent this possible appointment from ever happening. If you have a twitter account and/or Facebook page, please link to this column, we need to get the word out. It's time to begin informing others. Now!
When I found this article by Jerome Corsi just a few days ago, I almost fell out of my chair, knowing what I did from Jack Cashill's columns and other reading. I doubt any other name that could have been considered for FBI Director would have stunned me any more. And what we should really be concerned about is how it will effect the morale of the current agents! My bet is that most of them are very aware of who Jamie Gorelick is, and what she is about. We are still in a war on terror, and I do not think this is a good time to neuter one more line of our defense. I'm just sayin'...

Gorelick's resume includes undermining anti-terror effort, aiding mortgage meltdown

There are reports that President Obama is considering former Clinton administration official Jamie Gorelick as a possible candidate to be the next chief of the FBI, and critics are erupting with horror at the idea of a person in that position who, as one alleged, "helped to bring us 9/11 and the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."
JAMIE GORELICK
The Wall Street Journal and Fox Nation have reported that Gorelick is on the short list of candidates to take over the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
But if the White House seriously is considering such an appointment, surely discussed as part of the vetting process will be her controversial role as a deputy attorney general under Clinton in not preventing the 9/11 tragedy as well as her role under Clinton as a vice chair at Fannie Mae when the mortgage giant developed catastrophic problems.
Lucrative history at Fannie Mae
In the aftermath of the U.S. government takeover of Fannie and Freddie, attention focused on three prominent Democrats who served as Fannie Mae executives: Franklin D. Raines, former Clinton administration budget director; James Johnson, former aide to Democratic vice president Walter Mondale; and Gorelick.
All three earned millions in compensation while serving as top Fannie Mae executives.
- Raines earned $90 million in his five years as Fannie Mae CEO, from 1999 to 2004;
- Johnson earned $21 million in just his last year serving as Fannie Mae CEO from 1991 to 1998; and
- Gorelick earned an estimated $26 million serving as vice chair of Fannie Mae from May 1997 to May 2003, according to a May 2006 Special Examination of Fannie Mae conducted by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight.
All three subsequently were involved in mortgage-related financial scandals concerning their stewardship at Fannie Mae.
In 1998, as Fannie Mae vice chairman, Gorelick received a bonus of $779,625, despite her alleged involvement in a scandal in which Fannie Mae employees falsified signatures on accounting transactions in order to manipulate Fannie Mae books to meet 1998 earning targets. The manipulations allegedly triggered multi-million dollar bonuses for top executives, including Gorelick.
The 1998 bonus reported for then-Fannie Mae Chairman and CEO James Johnson was $1.932 million and for then-chairman designate Franklin Raines was $1.11 million.
In 2001, Gorelick bragged to Business Wire that Fannie Mae had passed in the second quarter of 2001, a year-and-a-half ahead of schedule, its acquisition target to purchase $10 billion of sub-prime mortgage loans under the terms of the Community Reinvestment Act, passed in 1977 during Jimmy Carter's administration.
"Our approach to lenders is 'CRA Your Way,'" Gorelick explained to Business Wire. "Fannie Mae will buy CRA loans from lenders' portfolios; we'll package them into securities; we'll purchase CRA mortgages at the point of origination; and we'll create customized CRA-targeted securities."
Business Wire noted that through its "American Dream Commitment," Fannie Mae under Gorelick's management pledged to transact before 2010 more than $20 billion in specially targeted CRA business and to finance over $500 billion in CRA business altogether.
Over the course of the past decade, an estimated one-third of loans financed by Fannie Mae were specified to meet Fannie Mae's CRA business goal.
In remarks to the American Bankers Association's National Community and Economic Development Conference in Chicago on Oct. 30, 2000, Gorelick said, "We will take CRA loans off your hands – we will buy them from your portfolios, or package them into securities – so you have fresh cash to make more CRA loans."
The Wall Street Journal reported Sept. 25, 2008, that Gorelick, while yet an executive at Fannie Mae, received from Countrywide Financial Corp. a favor from Countrywide's then-CEO Angelo Mozilo, a "friend of Angelo" refinancing. The favor, in 2003, reportedly was favorable interest for a 10-year, 5 percent fixed-rate deal on a $960,149 mortgage owned by Gorelick.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Gorelick said she had no knowledge of receiving special treatment.
Still, the Wall Street Journal reported Gorelick's mortgage was handled through the Countrywide's VIP lending department in California, and the staff there was aware of her position as a senior Fannie Mae executive, according to statements Robert Feinberg, a former Countrywide employee, made to the newspaper.

Kagan shielded Saudis from 9/11 lawsuit
Is Elena Kagan a good or bad choice to be a Justice on the Supreme Court? This one column about Kagan by Aaron Klein doesn't make the case either way, but it is important to look at all of the information that is available about her, and then make the decision. The problem is, will the Senate actually do that, or will she get the typical rubber-stamped confirmation?
Cozen, meanwhile, told WND he believes Kagan is "eminently qualified" for the Supreme Court. Still, he said he is concerned about her decision in his case and hew views on the separation of powers.
WND recently reported Kagan has advocated for an increased presidential role in regulation, which, she conceded, would make such affairs more and more an extension of the president's own policy and political agenda.
Obama nominated Kagan as U.S. solicitor general in January, and the Senate confirmed her in March. She was a dean of Harvard Law School and previously served alongside Obama as a professor of law at the University of Chicago.
A former clerk to Abner Mikva at the D.C. federal appeals court, Kagan was heavily involved in promoting the health-care policy of the Clinton administration.Sided with kingdom in case brought by victims of terror attacksBy Aaron Klein

NEW YORK – President Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court, Elena Kagan, helped shield Saudi Arabia from lawsuits filed by families of 9/11 victims seeking to target countries and leaders who helped finance al-Qaida.
"I'm very concerned about her views on executive power and her views with respect to the separation of power," Stephen A. Cozen, the lead attorney in the case for 9/11 victims, told WND.
"I believe she must be asked questions about whether or not citizens who are attacked inside the U.S. have the right to file suits domestically against terrorism financiers," said Cozen, the founder and chairman of Cozen O'Connor, a Philadelphia-based law firm with 24 offices throughout the country.
Cozen recounted to WND an April 2009 meeting he held with Kagan to present the case for his clients – thousands of family members and others affected by the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks who sought damages from the Saudi kingdom, Saudi high commissioners and the country's rulers.
Cozen's suit documented evidence the Saudis funneled millions of dollars to al-Qaida prior to the 9/11 attacks and that the kingdom continued to finance terrorism thereafter.
He was arguing to bring his case to the Supreme Court after it was dismissed by a lower court and an appeals circuit, which had cited the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act of 1976 as barring lawsuits against leaders of foreign governments.
Cozen, however, documented how both the Supreme Court and U.S. government briefs allowed for such lawsuits in the past, finding the Immunities Act did not hold in similar cases.
Kagan's friend-of-the-court brief argued Cozen's case would interfere with U.S. foreign policy. She urged the Supreme Court not to hear the case.
In her brief, Kagan acknowledged inconsistencies with the lower court rulings and even conceded there were legitimate questions about whether the Immunities Act should apply in Cozen's case for the 9/11 victims.
Still, she sided with the Saudis, who had presented their case directly to Kagan that the terror victims lawsuit was harming U.S.-Saudi relations.
The Supreme Court sided with Kagan and refused to hear the case.
Kagan's brief prompted Sens. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., to submit a bill to amend the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act.
Specter at the time strongly denounced Kagan.
"She wants to coddle the Saudis," he said.

The Fox jihad continues ~ By Joseph Farah
Joseph Farah again brings up the editorial integrity of Fox News because of the apparent compromise of it's lack of coverage of the Middle East, CAIR, and the lawsuit that WorldNetDaily is currently fighting because of the book, "Muslim Mafia."

Fox News and the henhouse ~ By Joseph Farah
Until now, I have hesitated to be this blunt with my questions regarding Fox News Channel's editorial integrity. I like Fox News. There are many very good people working there. In many ways, Fox is a welcome breath of fresh air from the competition on both cable and broadcast television. But, at the same time, if I did not point out the way the network has apparently compromised itself on coverage of both the Middle East and key domestic issues through its ownership, I would be withholding important facts and analysis from you and compromising my own integrity.
The blackout of coverage of "Muslim Mafia" and the major lawsuit surrounding it, alongside Fox's continued pandering to CAIR – a group the U.S. Justice Department and FBI both say unequivocally is tied to terrorism – make it impossible for me to be silent any longer.By Joseph Farah

This is not a new story – sadly.
It's one I've touched on before, hoping that calling out Fox News' irresponsible shilling for a Muslim Brotherhood front group might give Rupert Murdoch and his Saudi investors something to think about.
Obviously, the gentle nudging did not work.
Not only has Fox News continued to showcase the Council on American Islamic Relations as if it were truly a "Muslim civil rights group," it has actually stepped up its shameless promotion of the Hamas-connected unindicted terrorist co-conspirators at CAIR.
The latest example came last Friday, when "America Live" host Megyn Kelly asked CAIR's national legislative director, Corey Saylor, to comment about radical Muslims who threatened the creators of the cartoon "South Park" with violence. Naturally, Kelly never bothered to mention CAIR's own deep links to radical jihadist Islam.
In fact, not once has Fox News, joined at the hip itself with Saudi ownership, ever mentioned these well-documented connections in all of the hundreds of appearances CAIR officials have made on the network.
Pseudo-civil libertarian Saylor, by the way, has campaigned hard to ensure evangelical leader Franklin Graham be denied a role at the National Day of Prayer even though CAIR claims to support "the desirable goal of bringing Americans, regardless of their faith traditions, together in prayer."
In other words, he wants Muslims in and Christians and Jews out.
More than a dozen employees, officials and board members of CAIR have been indicted, arrested or convicted of terrorism-related charges. Still, the group is sought out by Fox and other major media outlets as a respectable organization representing the interests of American Muslims.
However, CAIR is sustained by foreign cash – not the largesse of American Muslims in need of a civil-rights champion.
But maybe that's what CAIR and Fox have in common.
Meet Saudi Prince al Waleed bin Talal, nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. You might remember Talal for his moment of infamy in the landscape of American political culture: In October 2001, right after the World Trade Center destruction at the hands of primarily Saudi terrorists, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani famously turned down his offer of a $10 million donation for disaster relief after Talal suggested U.S. policies in the Middle East were actually to blame for the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
A few years ago, Talal, who then owned 5.5 percent of the Fox News Channel's parent company, News Corp., boasted of his influence on the network's principal owner, Rupert Murdoch, and explained how he persuaded him to alter on-air content about "Muslim riots" in France to make them more palatable to adherents of Islam.
More recently, Talal and Murdoch greatly expanded their business partnerships to give Murdoch a significant stake in Middle East television programming and advertising.
Do I begin to paint a picture of possible media compromise?

Obama's math skills ~ By Burt Prelutsky
Burt has a way of writing about serious issues with a great sense of humor.
In spite of all the mean, though true, things I say about Obama, I can't help feeling sorry for him. After all, his Kenyan father deserted him when he was just a baby. Then, because that had worked out so well, Obama's ditsy mother then married a Muslim and moved to Indonesia. Eventually, Obama and his mother were deserted by his stepfather, which led to Obama's mother dumping 10-year-old Obama on his white grandparents in Hawaii. It was there that young Barack took up basketball, marijuana and cocaine, while seeking out radicals, revolutionaries and Communists as pals and mentors.
The truth is, with that kind of dysfunctional background, Barack Obama could easily have turned out to be a serial killer. Still, one can't help thinking that if only he had, today he'd probably be in prison, instead of the Oval Office, and none of us would have to worry about what awful thing he's going to do next.

I know that for some people, March 21, 2010, will take its rightful place alongside such infamous days as Dec. 7, 1941, and Sept. 11, 2001. But at least on those earlier occasions, America was attacked by outsiders. This time around, those out to destroy our republic were Fifth Columnists named Pelosi, Stupak, Slaughter, Waxman and 215 of their fellow termites.
Frankly, it was hard to decide which was more obscene – the actual vote, bought and bullied for by the left-wing leadership, or Speaker Pelosi's crowing about its passage. In fact, when I saw the beaming faces of Obama, Biden and their various partners in crime, I realized I hadn't seen national leaders this gleeful since Hitler did a little victory dance step at the railroad station in France.
Half a century ago, Khrushchev and Nixon had what was dubbed the kitchen debate. Nixon predicted that the Russians would become capitalists, while Khrushchev insisted that socialism would bury us. Who would ever have guessed that they would both be right?
I know that Obama doesn't want us to see his birth certificate, his college application or his medical records, but could we at least be granted a peek at his math scores? I mean, I was willing to give him a pass when, during the campaign, he referred to America's 57 states. In the heat of battle, anyone might confuse the number of states in the Union with the number of varieties the Heinz Company used to promote. But when he announced that with Obamacare, employers would be able to lower their health insurance costs by 3,000 percent, I began to have serious concerns. What if he was simply one of those people who couldn't keep millions, billions and trillions straight? Might that not help to explain most, if not all, of his economic policies?
Even a school child, even a public school child, should know that you can increase a sum by 3,000 percent or 300,000 percent, for that matter, but you can only decrease an amount by 100 percent.

Chilling Aerial Photos of 9/11 Attack Released
From ABC News / U.S.
Police aerial photos show World Trade Center collapse; 8 years later, the pictures still shock
By ULA ILNYTZKY and COLLEEN LONG Associated Press Writers
NEW YORK February 10, 2010 (AP)
A trove of aerial photographs of the collapsing World Trade Center was widely released this week, offering a rare and chilling view from the heavens of the burning twin towers and the apocalyptic shroud of smoke and dust that settled over the city.
The images were taken from a police helicopter — the only photographers allowed in the airspace near the skyscrapers on Sept. 11, 2001. They were obtained by ABC after it filed a Freedom of Information Act request last year with the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the federal agency that investigated the collapse.
The chief curator of the planned Sept. 11 museum pronounced the pictures "a phenomenal body of work."
The photos are "absolutely core to understanding the visual phenomena of what was happening," said Jan Ramirez of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. They are "some of the most exceptional images in the world, I think, of this event."

Fox News and the henhouse ~ By Joseph Farah
Commentary from WorldNetDaily
By Joseph Farah Posted: January 11, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 Is Fox News your champion on cable TV? Is Fox News your favorite source of news? Is Fox News doing a great job of telling you what you need to know as a self-governing American citizen? I suspect many reading this column will readily answer with an enthusiastic "yes" to all three of those rhetorical questions. It is with that expectation I carefully alert you to a major and disturbing concern I have about the Fox News Channel – one based on personal experience as well as facts that have been withheld from you if Rupert Murdoch's alternative to CNN is your primary source of news. Fox News is still inviting spokesmen from the Council on American-Islamic Relations on its programs where they pose as reasonable and legitimate representatives of a Muslim "civil rights" organization, despite the fact that CAIR has been definitively exposed by the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department as a "co-conspirator" in the largest terrorism-financing trial in American history, as a front for the international Muslim Brotherhood – the notorious parent organization of Hamas and al-Qaida – and for being closely associated with a large number of convicted terrorists or felons in terrorism probes, as well as suspected terrorists and active targets of terrorism investigations. Recently, after the "Christmas bomber" almost killed 288 people over Detroit, CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper was given an entire segment on "The O'Reilly Factor" to argue that Muslims should never be profiled because being a follower of Islam doesn't make an airline passenger any more likely to be a terrorist than being a Swedish grandmother. The real danger, he explained, is that Muslims in America are going to be unfairly persecuted by bigoted Americans. How could this happen, especially after the recent release of the devastating exposé of CAIR and its network of jihadi-supporting allies, "Muslim Mafia," which caused leaders of the bipartisan Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus to hold a Capitol Hill press conference demanding multiple federal investigations of CAIR? More to the point, why has Fox News, among others in the media, blacked out any and all reporting on the blockbuster book, based in part on a daring and successful six-month-long, ACORN-style undercover operation to expose CAIR? For some possible answers, let me introduce you to Saudi Prince al Waleed bin Talal, nephew of Saudi King Abdullah. Get ready for 2010 election bloodbath ~ By Craig R. Smith
Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Excerpt:"By 2012 America will have looked back at the election of 2008 and will wish Sarah Palin had been at the helm. She has more experience in leadership in her bra strap than Obama in his entire empty suit."By Craig R. Smith Posted: January 04, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 I keep asking myself the same haunting question: How on earth did this community organizer ever become president of the greatest country in the world? Am I the only one who feels this way? Just one look at the last couple of weeks reveals the total incompetence of this president and his administration. Nobody is on the same page. Larry Summers say the economy is growing. Christina Romer says it is not. Janet Napolitano claims the TSA/Intel system worked flawlessly, then says it failed completely. Heck of a job, Nappy! What we need in the Oval Office is a leader, and we are getting everything but. Even his ardent supporters are turning against Mr. Obama. They are waking up to the sobering reality that they were duped. How can we have a terrorist act on an American airliner and it be 48 hours before we hear a word from the White House – and when the word comes it is through Napolitano and Robert Gibbs? It took our president 72 hours to make a brief statement before heading off to play a round of golf. It makes you appreciate George Bush taking eight minutes before leaving the classroom on Sept. 11. This may just be a perfect example of how "manmade disasters" are handled by this clueless administration. Terrorist acts are viewed like a robbery at your local minimart, or a simple criminal issue Eric Holder will address from his leftist Justice Department. Now the underwear bomber is lawyered up and not providing intel on the other 24 terrorists who trained with him to execute the same act. That is how the Obama administration rolls. What this terrorist should have gotten was a one-way ticket to Gitmo and an appointment for an H2O facial on a flat board until we learned where the others live and their future plans of attack. But no, this administration would never dream of such lifesaving measures. It is to focused on getting the world to love us. It wants to restore our "image" in the world – you know, the one of weakness Bill Clinton brought us by refusing to respond to the terrorist act on the USS Cole, and the one that cost 17 American sailors their lives. Terrorists are terrorists. We don't need to understand them, negotiate with them or appease them. We need to eliminate them. Until our fearless leader understands that, we are all in danger. But this president won't even call them terrorists. He won't even acknowledge an act of terrorism when it occurs. READ FULL STORY >

Replace Janet Napolitano ~ By Star Parker
Commentary from WorldNetDaily
By Star Parker Posted: January 02, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 Last March, our newly installed homeland security secretary, Janet Napolitano, explained, in an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel, her vision for fighting what was formerly known as terrorism. By calling these now "man-caused disasters," she explained, we'd "move away from the politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur." "Our policies will be guided by authoritative information. We also have assets at our disposal now that we did not have prior to 9/11. For example, we are much better able to keep track of travelers coming into the U.S. than we were before. The third thing is to work with our international partners and allies to make sure that we are getting information and sharing information in an appropriate and real-time fashion." Yikes. Putting Ms. Napolitano in charge of a department of 200,000 people and a $50 billion budget with a stated mission to "lead the unified national effort to secure the country and preserve our freedoms" was a "man caused disaster." And it is one that President Obama should fix – pronto. His No. 1 priority to restore credibility in his administration's ability to protect Americans from terrorism should be replacement of Napolitano. Her blundering performance on Sunday talk shows following the failed Christmas Day terrorist attempt to blow up an American plane showed clearly that this isn't the person we want responsible for the security of our homeland. It's much more than her incredible observation that "the system worked." Napolitano told CNN's Candy Crowley, "The traveling public is very, very safe in this air environment." This despite answering every one of Crowley's probing questions with "I don't know." Are there al-Qaida ties? How could he have gotten past security and on the plane carrying an explosive? How could he fly to the U.S. when his own father – a wealthy banker – briefed our embassy officials about what he saw his son up to? READ FULL STORY >

Fretting: Nearly 2 of 3 expect terror trials to spark attack
From WorldNetDaily
Survey: Fear of retribution very real across America By Bob Unruh Posted: December 27, 2009 - 8:06 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily Editor's note: This is another in a series of monthly "WND/WENZEL POLLS" - polls conducted exclusively for WND by the public opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.Nearly two out of three Americans expect another new terror attack to accompany the New York City court trials for detainees who are suspects in the 9/11 attacks in 2001, according to a new poll from Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies. "The fear of retribution from terrorists is very real all across America, the survey shows. Nearly two out of every three respondents – 61 percent – said they think it is likely that New York City will experience a terrorist attack, either before, during, or immediately after the terrorist trials," Wenzel said. "Just 28 percent said they thought it was unlikely that such an attack would occur. In a year that saw President Obama's job approval rating move from 69 percent positive the day after he took office to just 41 percent positive in this survey, this has got to be seen as one of the reasons. Obama has pursued an agenda that has been opposed by a majority of Americans since their announcement, and as he continues to push them through to fruition, the American public is responding with unprecedented negativity," he said. The WND/Wenzel telephone survey was conducted Dec. 18-21 using an automated telephone technology calling a random sampling of listed telephone numbers. The survey included 26 questions and carries a 95 percent confidence interval. It included 823 likely voters. It carries a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points. READ FULL STORY >

AirTran e-mail stirs up Internet firestorm
From KHOU.com
by Leigh Frillici / 11 News Posted on December 3, 2009 at 6:40 PM Updated yesterday at 4:05 PM The FAA is investigating an incident aboard an AirTran flight from Atlanta to Houston that touched off a firestorm of e-mails. AirTran Flight 297 was delayed on November 17 after a passenger refused to turn off his cell phone. An e-mail sent out by Houstonian Tedd Petruna, who was on the flight, said that wasn’t the whole story. According to the e-mail, Petruna and other passengers believed they witnessed a dry run for a terrorist attack. Petruna said he couldn’t talk on camera, but Chaplain Keith Robinson, who was also on the flight, did talk with us. Robinson missed the original flight, but boarded after the plane taxied back to the gate because of the cell phone delay. “Flight attendants were sobbing openly,” Robinson said. Robinson said a passenger getting off the plane warned him not to get on. “He said ‘I just saw them there were these Middle Eastern men. They were taking pictures. They wouldn’t sit down,” Robinson said. “Besides that, he said a couple of them were making gestures with their hand as if they were shooting people.” READ FULL STORY >RELATED STORIES:

Trying terrorists, or Bush-Cheney? ~ By Joseph Farah
From WorldNetDaily
"The Obama administration is more dangerous to America in many ways than any terrorist organization. What this cabal is doing to the country in stripping it of its most cherished values, its basic morality, its foundation on the rule of law, its liberties and its economy is more devastating than anything Mohammed and his zealots could have ever imagined."By Joseph Farah Posted: November 19, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has already had a trial and been convicted of orchestrating the 9/11 attacks on the U.S. that killed nearly 3,000. He should have been put to death by now. Instead, the Barack Obama administration is going to give him another trial – a civilian trial in New York City, of all places – where his defense team will be able to use all the gimmickry and technicalities available to American citizens trying to beat the rap. "Was our client read his Miranda rights?" they will ask. "How many times was he waterboarded?" "Was any of the evidence you are using against our clients obtained illegally?" They will attempt to turn the trial into a circus in which George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are actually accused of crimes – probably much to the satisfaction of the Obama administration, which views their actions in bringing this mass murderer to justice as illegal. Obama's attorney general, Eric Holder, already announced he would investigate whether CIA officers should be prosecuted for their interrogations of Mohammed and others. Maybe instead of prosecuting this monster, he might be called to testify on behalf of the defense. If I were in Mohammed's shoes, I certainly would. Once again, it goes to prove the point that the Obama administration doesn't view even the kind of monstrous terrorism that struck on 9/11 as anything but a criminal justice matter. Trial in New York is triumph for al-Qaida ~ By Roger Hedgecock
From WorldNetDaily
By Roger Hedgecock Posted: November 16, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Five jihadi warriors, including the mastermind of the attacks of Sept. 11, will return to New York to face the consequence of their crime in a court of law. Editorial writers in the Obama press over the weekend waxed eloquent about the triumph of American justice. The long night of torture, rendition and endless incarceration under the evil Bush is at last over and due process is restored even for our attackers, to show the world how fair and civilized America has once again become under President Obama – or, as the Chinese call him, Oba-mao. A while back in law school, I was taught that a criminal trial was a search for truth during which the government had to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant committed the crime(s) the government charged. In December 2008, before a military court at Gitmo, these same defendants admitted committing the crimes charged, and, rather than expressing remorse for the deaths of 3,000 people that resulted, bragged about the attacks of Sept. 11 and proclaimed that they wore the government's charges like a "badge of honor." Congress authorized the military court in 2006 in response to criticism of long incarcerations of Gitmo detainees by Bush. Nonetheless, in January 2009, newly sworn-in President Obama acted swiftly to suspend the military trial at Gitmo before that court could pronounce sentence on the admittedly guilty jihadis. Democrats in Congress had seen to it in 2006 that the law authorizing the military courts protected the defendant's rights to the lawyer of their choice, to call witnesses in their defense, to have the right of appeal – to observe all the due process demanded for these jihadis by the American Left. The jihadis ignored all of it and bragged about their role in attacking America, asserting in writing that their actions were the will of Allah. Why would the president risk humiliation for America if this "show trial" results in acquittal, or even in endless defense motions and appeals which drag out for years and demonstrate not the strength of our justice system but its weakness? Mr. Obama, tear down this Gorelick Wall! ~ By Ellis Washington

Although you understand the debilitating impact of the [Gorelick] wall, I cannot imagine that the commission knew about this [1995] memorandum, so I have declassified it for you and the public to review. The tragic murder of 14 people (I include the preborn baby) at Fort Hood last week by Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was the first terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. This terrible act has brought to the fore all the usual suspects, recriminations and rationalizations. Each day brings new revelations or "red flags" concerning this Muslim fanatic that military officials, the FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security and even Hasan's medical colleagues knew about for years, but did nothing.
~ John Ashcroft, attorney general, before the 9/11 commission, April 13, 2004
Two things shielded America's enemies from swift justice: 1) Political correctness, which I call "perversity correctness," or what conservative intellectual Michael Savage calls "political cowardice"; and 2) the Gorelick Wall.
Let's take the first shield Maj. Hasan (and technically untold millions of Muslims) have protecting him – PC, political cowardice. Our military brass and Congress are so cowed by even the appearance of singling out Muslims to prevent terrorists attacks in America that they literally looked at every other thing in the room but the 800-pound gorilla sitting in the corner shouting Allahu akbar! – until it was too late.
This insane PC policy of American cowardice toward Muslims is evidenced by the Obama administration refusing to use the phrases "war on terror," "Islamic terrorism," "terrorists" or "Muslim," preferring the less judgmental term, "manmade disaster."
The second policy America has launched against itself is the infamous "Gorelick Wall." What is the Gorelick Wall? It is a policy developed by Clinton appointee and former Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick, who after the first terrorist bombings of the World Trade Center of Feb. 26, 1993, was placed as the head of a blue ribbon commission to find the causes in our internal security that allowed these bombings to occur.
In March 1995, Gorelick co-wrote a radical and treasonous memo that, in the words of Attorney General John Ashcroft, "go beyond what is legally required ... [to] prevent any risk of creating an unwarranted appearance that FISA [the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act] is being used to avoid procedural safeguards which would apply in a criminal investigation."
What does this mean? It means that the FBI cannot share intelligence with the CIA, the NSA, the DEA, ATF, the military or any other security agency in America. It is a unilateral, self-binding policy reminiscent of the proverbial saying, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Let's bring the boys home now ~ By Pat Boone
From WorldNetDaily
By Pat Boone Posted: November 14, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 As I try to do every Veterans and Memorial Day, I spent some time Wednesday walking among the grave markers in the vast, beautiful but somber Veteran's Cemetery in Westwood. I read the names and thanked them out loud, as always. My doctor friend Bob Karns and his dear wife, Stevie, joined me, and it was deeply moving. As I looked tearfully over the rolling acres, studded with tens of thousands of stones and crosses and flat markers, I pondered as always the dreams and aspirations and relationships and family traditions that had all been stunted and blotted out. I'm sure that each of these all but forgotten heroes trained and fought willingly and proudly for the country we all love. They stood against enemies we understood, against national militaries we had identified and that had attacked us and our allies. And as I walked slowly among their graves, I asked out loud: "Would you make the same sacrifices in the conflict we're grappling with now? Would you enlist to ship out to Middle Eastern countries that have fought and killed each other for centuries, in an effort to address their problems and ancient animosities, in some vague hope that we might help them form some kind of Judeo-Christian democracy like ours?" It won't surprise you that I was met with silence. But in that silence, I saw some things more clearly than I have for years. This poor deluded fiend, Maj. Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 of his fellow American soldiers and wounded 31 more at Fort Hood, inadvertently rendered his country a vital service. He made it starkly clear, to anyone with a brain, that we're at war, not with a country or a people – but with an ideology. This demonic, lethal and inhuman ideology knows no boundaries, no ethnic or racial definitions. It's not perpetrated by one government, one tribal heritage or even one geographic base. It incubated deep in the Middle East, but has spread to many parts of the world. It has found its home in a huge world religion, Islam, but millions of devout Muslims disavow the violence and depravity associated with this jihadist ideology and even discount the specific calls for death and domination found in the pages of the Quran. (See Surah 9:5, the "verse of the sword," as an example.) But the ideology itself has a virulent life of its own, far, far worse and deadlier than any "swine flu." Once it takes root in a human mentality, it can permeate the soul, change all perspectives of humanity and morality, and become highly contagious. It has been festering and growing in Saudi Arabia, in all neighboring countries, has been taught to children from kindergarten through university and has found especially fertile ground in Islam. Maj. Hasan, born in an Arab-American family, a trained psychiatrist and military man, sought spiritual and religious counseling from a jihadist activist, Anwar al-Awlaki, who is known to have been counselor and confidant to several of the perpetrators of the 9/11 massacre. The virus spread from this adviser into the brain and soul of Hasan – who then took two loaded guns into Fort Hood and began killing everybody he could, screaming "Allah is greatest!" in Arabic. Sarah Palin: Obama Administration's Atrocious Decision
From Sarah Palin's Notes
By Sarah Palin November 13, 2009 at 3:39pm Horrible decision, absolutely horrible. It is devastating for so many of us to hear that the Obama Administration decided that the 9/11 terrorist mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, will be given a criminal trial in New York. This is an atrocious decision. Mohammed and his terrorist co-conspirators are responsible for the deaths of more than 3,000 Americans. Thousands of American families have suffered through the loss of loved ones because of the disgusting attacks launched against the United States, and now this trial venue adds insult to injury, in addition to compromising our efforts in the War on Terror. Heaven forbid our allies see this decision as a reason to become less likely to support our efforts in the future. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Send Biden to get Osama ~ By Joseph Farah
From WorldNetDaily
By Joseph Farah Posted: October 17, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 I don't know why Barack Obama is having so much trouble deciding what to do about Afghanistan. He was so sure before he got elected. For starters, he ought to consult with Vice President Joe Biden. You remember Joe Biden, don't you? He is still vice president, isn't he? Well, just like Obama knew what to do in Afghanistan last year, Biden did, too. Obama wasn't waffling about sending more troops then, when the war seemed to be going better. But now that the war has hit a bit of a snag, he's not so sure. Biden was even more clear. He told us last October: "Ending the [Iraq] war will help us deal with Afghanistan, which we talked about at length this morning. In 2002, I said we should focus on finishing the fight against Osama bin Laden. Throughout this campaign, I have argued that we need more troops and more resources to win the war in Afghanistan, and to confront the growing threat from al-Qaida along the Pakistani border. "Over seven years after 9/11, the situation in Afghanistan is grave. This is the most violent year of the war, with the highest number of American casualties. The Taliban is on the offensive, al- Qaida has a sanctuary across the border in Pakistan, and some experts believe that 50 percent of the Afghan economy comes from the heroin trade. As the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff recently said, 'The trends across the board are not going in the right direction.' "Make no mistake: we are confronting an urgent crisis in Afghanistan, and we have to act. It's time to heed the call from General McKiernan and others for more troops. That's why I'd send at least two or three additional combat brigades to Afghanistan. We also need more training for Afghan Security forces, more non-military assistance to help Afghans develop alternatives to poppy farming , more safeguards to prevent corruption, and a new effort to crack down on cross-border terrorism. Only a comprehensive strategy that prioritizes Afghanistan and the fight against al-Qaida will succeed, and that's the change I'll bring to the White House." He said all this in his famous speech in which he predicted Obama would be tested in his first six months in office. In fact, he didn't just predict it – he "promised" it. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Don't tread on me! ~ By Chuck Norris
From WorldNetDaily
By Chuck Norris Posted: September 21, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Sept. 12 was an amazing day as thousands marched on Washington, D.C., seeking to unite Americans and make a stand against tyranny and oppression. At the same time, the Tea Party Express escorted a number of patriots to the U.S. Capitol as well, to culminate its cross-country rallies. But what's next? I have an idea. What I loved about the 9/12 idea is that it was a non-political, non-partisan movement. The 9-12 Project was designed to bring Americans back to the place where we were on Sept. 12, 2001 – the day after America was attacked by terrorists. We were not concerned then with red states, blue states or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect our nation. On Sept. 12, 2002, we sought to protect our nation against terrorists from without. Beginning on Sept. 12, 2009, we are seeking to protect our nation against enemies of our republic from within. Many of us are protesting the present political direction of Washington. Outrageous borrowing, excessive bailouts, massive spending, speedball stimulus plans, universal hell-care and swings toward socialism are just a few of things that were protested that day. Of course, economics is far from America's only problem, as large as it appears to loom. I want to emphasize: this revolutionary movement is not solely an independent, Republican or Democrat fight. It represents patriots fed up against modernists who seek to overturn almost every principle and tenet laid down by our country's founders at the inception of our republic. From the East Coast to the "Left Coast," America seems to be moving further and further from its founders' vision and government. For example, George Washington advised, "The great rule of conduct in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations [and] having with them as little political connection as possible." Yet, despite presidential campaign promises, we're slowly pulling out of Iraq, but escalating missions in Afghanistan. And the Obama administration also pledged $900 million in U.S. taxpayer-funded aid to Hamas-controlled Gaza and Mahmoud Abbas' Palestinian Authority. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]
