The question about the Apple vs FBI controversy, being that the FBI wants to know what is on one of the terrorists' phones who was involved in the terror attack in San Bernadino, California, has focused on a desire to keep our government from interfering with our privacy rights. Phil Elmore explains in this column why data security through end-to-end encryption does have it's own troubling issues of it's own, with the primary concern being that any kind of surveillance of their communications will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for our government agencies attempting to keep us safe.

Should we be worried that terrorists will use end-to-end encryption to safeguard their plots? If encryption becomes the rule rather than the exception across our Internet infrastructure, are we locking ourselves out from the very data on which our security personnel should be keeping an eye? Maybe … and then again, maybe not.

You wouldn't know that we're in a war by the way Obama is doing things. He still acts as if ISIS is the JV team, even after the unfolding of events in Paris, France. He even thinks that containing ISIS is all that is needed. Oh, sure, now that we know that ISIS is in many countries in the Middle East, it hardly sounds like containment! You can't make this stuff up:

And the commander in chief of all our U.S. military forces really believes the following about ISIS: “I don’t think they’re gaining ground. What is true is that from the start, our goal has been first to contain, and we have contained them …”?

And so, in the mean time, even after a horrific attack on civilians, it seems that Obama thinks that what happens in Europe stays in Europe. Well, it won't, not if he allows thousands of refugees into the country. That's just a Trojan horse strategy of our enemies waiting to happen. It wouldn't happen if we had a President that had a backbone, and admits that we ARE in a World War against radical Islam. Just sayin'...

Missing Libyan Jetliners Raise Fears of Suicide Airliner Attacks on 9/11 ~ By Bill Gertz

Counterterrorism expert Sebastian Gorka said that if the theft is confirmed, the stolen aircraft could be used in at least two ways.

“The first would be how commercial airliners were used on Sept. 11, 2001, literally turning an innocent mode of mass transit into a super-high precision guided missile of immense potency,” said Gorka, who holds the Maj. Gen. Charles Horner chair at Marine Corps University in Quantico, Va.

“The second tactic could be to use the airframe with its civilian markings as a tool of deception to insert a full payload of armed terrorists into a locale that otherwise is always open to commercial carriers,” he said.

Michael Rubin, a counterterrorism specialist with the American Enterprise Institute, said commercial jetliners in the hands of terrorists could be formidable weapons.

“Who needs ballistic missiles when you have passenger planes? Even empty, but loaded up with fuel they can be as devastating,” Rubin said.

I do hope that you just watched that video, and read the description. On the upside, I'm sure our military have thought of a plan to deal with human shields on the jetliners being used as weapons. But, on the downside, I really hope that I didn't give terrorists any ideas that they had not thought of yet. Just sayin'...

Islamist militias in Libya took control of nearly a dozen commercial jetliners last month, and western intelligence agencies recently issued a warning that the jets could be used in terrorist attacks across North Africa.

Intelligence reports of the stolen jetliners were distributed within the U.S. government over the past two weeks and included a warning that one or more of the aircraft could be used in an attack later this month on the date marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks against New York and Washington, said U.S. officials familiar with the reports.

“There are a number of commercial airliners in Libya that are missing,” said one official. “We found out on September 11 what can happen with hijacked planes.”

Phoenix resident Miranda Fuller said she could not believe what she was seeing from the balcony of her vacation home.

"I was in shock I think, and so were the couple people out here. They were just standing there pointing. Nobody knew what to do. What should we do to help," Fuller said.

Mission Beach resident Bill Wu caught the group on a surveillance camera mounted on his home. He recorded the group running up the beach and then across the boardwalk and into an alley.

"I guess there was somebody on the inside here that was supplying them with clothing and they went down to Mission Boulevard and changed clothes," Wu said.

I just happened to see the Fox & Friends segment that you will see just below. While the hosts and the guest were assuming that the 20 people that jumped out of the panga boat were illegal immigrants from "South of the border," I was having a different thought, which I'll tell you after you watch this video.

My first thought? All dressed in black, I was thinking, "those are ISIS terrorists!" Whether I'm right or wrong, it doesn't matter. You know that somebody at the Islamic State headquarters is thinking how easy it would be to infiltrate the United States. Or, perhaps, that has already happened.

Seven of those that got off the boat had been caught. What about the other dozen or more? Since this story first appeared, I have not been able to find any followup stories saying that those that escaped that day had ever been nabbed. If they were illegal immigrants from South of our border, who's to say that they aren't working for the terrorist outfit ISIS?

We already know that along the border with Mexico, many more illegals are coming in that don't get caught. Tunnels are constantly being found in some areas. There are so many ways that terrorists could get into the country, and let's not forget our Northern border, I am sure that there are already terrorist cells set up all across this country.

But, "it's all good," they say, "we haven't been attacked." Shouldn't the word "yet" be added to that claim? This is especially disturbing being that Sept. 11 is just days away. This is why it is extremely important to pay attention to what is happening around us right now. Obviously, at least somebody involved in this news story got in touch with the local authorities. But when you see something, say something to law enforcement agencies, such as in these instructions below:

"If you see something suspicious, either contact your local law enforcement, or the FBI at (855) TELL-FBI or (855) 835-5324."

Well, if the ISIS terrorists are NOT here yet, I am sure that their leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is taking notes. "Land on American shores, broad daylight, media coverage, FBI not called in. Border Patrol, already spread thin, handles call. 13 get away..."

So, you tell me: Are our borders and shorelines secure? Is ISIS going to sit back and not take advantage of an opportunity to infiltrate America and do some serious damage? I doubt it! Just sayin'...

Search Launched for Mission Beach Panga Passengers

Seven suspected undocumented immigrants were taken into custody after a panga boat arrived at Mission Beach on Monday morning, as NBC 7's Bridget Naso reports.

Law enforcement officers are looking for more than a dozen people believed to have come ashore in a panga that landed on Mission Beach Monday.

U.S. Border Patrol officials were on the sand right where West Mission Bay Drive ends and Ventura Place intersects with Strand Way.

The bright red panga was spotted about 6:45 a.m.

Lifeguards reported that about 20 people scattered. They believe there were 18 males and two females who ran into the neighborhood of Mission Beach.

Witnesses say about the group of people got out of the boat and ran towards shore, jumped the sea wall into the boardwalk and took off down an alley.

I was doing some maintenance in the blog, came across this post, and got thinking what all of the governors will be saying if the President declared martial law, and that is why all of the cities got this militarized equipment? "We're very surprised how it is used"?  Just sayin'...

Netanyahu Debunks AP Report Rapping US Ambassador ~ By Hana Levi Julian

“The United States has given us tremendous support, material support with Iron Dome, not only the one that we received, but now both houses of Congress with the support of the Administration have agreed to the request that I made for an additional $225 million for additional Iron Dome protection. That is a lot of support and we deeply appreciate it, and that is the substance of our relationship.

“That’s the tone of our relationship, which gets to the question of these reports that are not only of my conversation with Ambassador Shapiro but also with the President that are full of incorrections, (sic) full of distortions and are wrong both in tone and in substance.

“The right tone, the right substance is the support that we are getting as we speak from the United States of America, and I appreciate it deeply.”

On August 2, 2014, Matthew Lee, AP Diplomatic Writer, in his story for the Associated Press, said that Netanyahu had scolded the U.S.:

Sources familiar with conversations between Netanyahu and senior U.S. officials, including Secretary of State John Kerry, say the Israeli leader advised the Obama administration "not to ever second guess me again" on the matter.

The story, "Netanyahu to US: Don't second guess me on Hamas," quickly went viral in the media. But according to this story by Hana Levi Julian, Bibi Netanyahu claims that it never happened.

Now we have to ask ourselves why AP writer Matthew Lee would have made up the story, or at least exaggerated the report to make it sound more scintillating.  Or, the other possibility, assuming that Netanyahu did not scold the U.S., would be that one of Matthew Lee's sources made up the report. What ulterior motive could a source in the State Department have to make up a story about Netanyahu scolding our President and/or anyone else in the State Department, including the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro? It doesn't seem to add up.

Well, then again, there's nothing more than Obama would want more right now than to have Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sound like he's kissing up to Obama, and our Congress, for approving the $225 Million aid package for Iron Dome. That does sound like a good way that Obama could keep Jewish Obama (Democrat) voters happy. Just sayin'...

Netanyahu Debunks AP Report Rapping US Ambassador

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu used his news conference on Saturday night to debunk a report that on Friday he had scolded US Ambassador Dan Shapiro.

Associated Press reported that Netanyahu allegedly warned the American diplomat in a sharp telephone conversation he now expected the full support of Washington and the rest of the international community for Israel’s counter terror operation in Gaza, following the abduction by Hamas terrorists of IDF 2nd Lt. Hadar Goldin.

Two other IDF soldiers were killed while Goldin was dragged into a terror tunnel in the ambush that took place in the southern Gaza border town of Rafah during a 72-hour humanitarian cease fire forced on Israel by the United States and United Nations. The report claimed Shapiro was told by Netanyahu the Obama administration was not to “ever second guess me again” when it came to dealing with Hamas.
