We Need a Plan. Here it is. ~ Ep. 1436 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the stunning new DOJ complaint alleging that a liberal activist was part of the Capitol attack. I also discuss the information likely to come out in the last minute declassification of the Spygate files.

As always, there are parts of Dan Bongino Show episodes that stuck out to me.  In this episode, it was in his last segment.   Nope, it wasn't even when Dan sung the RockAutoParts.com theme song.  No, it was far more serious than that.  What should terrify all of us right now, especially those of us that like to express our thoughts on social media, or in a blog like this one, is that the way the Demonicrats see it, they see no problem with silencing Conservatives and/or Trump supporters.  It's their thing, man.  We recently witnessed the shutting down of a private business that provided an alternative to Big Tech, such as Parler.com

Technical difficulties?  No doubt!  And it was just so weird that these technical difficulties just happened after Twitter banned President Trump, basically for LIFE.  Not only was there a possibility that President Trump would be speaking to the American people via Parler, but many people that previously made Twitter their home because President Trump was there, were flocking to Parler, too.  Of course, that is lowering Twitter's "daily active users" numbers, thus lowering Twitter's ad revenues, and making Twitter's share holders become a little nervous.

The Demonicrats and their media arm, the liberal Fake News Media (Pravda), are going to have a growing problem in the next few years.  Stories about Biden and Kamala were previously written off as "conspiracy theories" by the media.  What are they going to do when they start coming true, and the American people start remembering that we were warned?  The 2022 midterms would be a gigantic slaughter for the Demonicrats, right?  A truly Red Tidal Wave?  Oh, right, this isn't 2010 any more.  There may not be a "Tea Party Revolution" like there was then.  Why?  Perhaps I am just being paranoid, but is it possible that the Demonicrats will find a way to silence all of us?  How is that surge of freedom loving voters going to get over the "prisoner's dilemma" that Dan discusses in this episode?  Would you be willing to be in the front lines of that information war should we all be purged from social media for saying what we believe, if it doesn't conform with the State?

For those business owners being shut down by the Covid restrictions, they are finally coming together to fight the government restrictions, because they have to be open so that they can feed their family and pay for their housing rent or mortgage.  They are actually doing it, because they aren't comfortable with seeing their family starve and living in their car (if that is even still available).  But for us, it is just battling the information lockdowns, Twitter purges, or the Parler shutdown.  As Dan will  explain in the last segment, it doesn't just end at the social media sites.  Your email?  Your Fakebook messages to friends?

So, okay, I totally get it.  Because of the Covid-19 lockdowns, many people are unemployed or losing their businesses, and they're fighting - literally - for their lives, to keep food on the table, a roof over their heads, and a mode of transportation.  But, keeping our freedom should also be one of our main priorities. So, keep in mind what John Matze of Parler.com said: "We believe privacy is paramount and free speech essential, especially on social media."  Take away those things, and we will lose all economic freedom.  There is only one thing that can replace freedom of any kind, and that is tyranny.  Don't forget that, please.  That's all I can ask you to do.

Because I know that Dan Bongino would prefer that I embed the Rumble.com video here, I am now doing that! It finally came to me how to do it, and I am very pleased, because it doesn't require me to use the JavaScript code to do it! So, when you are watching, you will not be seeing it via youtube.com again. Nope, not here. Ever!  No more screwtube embedded video here! Forevs! So, it's now RUMBLE all the way, Dan.  For Dan's show page on Rumble.com, click here.

A Plan To Preserve Liberty ~ Ep. 1433 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the ongoing war on conservative free speech by the tech tyrants, media totalitarians, and liberals.

I am still praying for John Matze and Dan Bongino, and the employees at Parler.com, and their vendors!  I'm looking forward to getting back there, believe me!  Being that I'm doing the same thing as Dan, while I am keeping my Twitter account, I'm not using it any more to post things.  I already found out that I am unable to follow back people at Twitter.  Why I have lost that ability, is anyone's guess.  So, Parler is the only place I can really post links to this blog.  I don't dare do it on Facebook (Fakebook).  I only use that disgusting platform to keep in contact with family and friends, and most of them are not really interested in my Conservative blog.  The folks that do like this blog site have no problem right now with checking to see if I've posted anything new.  So, right now, returning visitors are the only way that I am getting views of my posts!

In this episode, Dan updates us on Parler's trials and tribulations, and that Parler has filed suit against Amazon Web Services for removing Parler from their servers.  Yes, it's going to be a fight for their lives.  Really.

This fight isn't just for Parler.com, Dan Bongino, and all of us that have been using Parler as our social media platform of choice.  Really, it's going to be a fight for all of us; for our freedom of speech, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.  Do you know where else people have had their speech restricted if it didn't go along with the government policy?  Where else have they gone after people where the ability to do business is restricted?  Where they get banks to stop doing business with entrepreneurs involved in business activities they don't agree with, like owning a gun store?  Hmm... Does "Operation Choke Point" ring any bells?  Do you remember where that took place?  Most of us would say the Soviet Union or Communist China.  But, how about that... it was here, in the United States:

A little-known program carried out by President Obama’s Department of Justice (DOJ) whipsawed small business for years, and to date no one has been held accountable. Federal officials pressured banks to close the accounts of businesses solely because they were ideologically opposed to their existence. This runs counter to the very principles of due process and fairness that form the backbone of our nation’s laws.

Did it occur to any of those people out there, that voted for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, that they surely would use those kinds of tactics to get people to be in line with their totalitarian, tyrannical regime's ideology, or did they just swallow Joe Biden's promises of "unity and peace?"

No, we haven't lost yet.  We will still be fighting on.  If you think it's scary now, wait until the government starts arresting people for saying things that the government doesn't agree with.  But, if you are following along with this show, I'm hoping that you understand what Dan is telling us in very strong terms:  This is just the beginning.  This is how it starts.  Even if it is some Big Tech monopolies that are doing this to us, it's just a matter of time until it is actually the government.  (And we're hoping it isn't a global government any time soon!)  We need to take actions, if we can, that Dan will explain toward the end of this episode.

The Road Ahead ~ Ep. 1432 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the open war on free speech declared this past weekend.

We are in the process of crossing the Rubicon.  Well, not actually "we" as in you and I, but the Leftist Tech Tyrants just went a step or two into the waters of the Rubicon, and they are coming for us.

You will never see Dan more serious than he was in this episode.  Dan isn't just fighting angry about what AWS did to Parler.com this weekend, meaning, what they have done to him.  No, his outrage is about what the Big Tech tyrants are doing to many of us, as a whole:  They are trying to take away our ABILITY to be able to speak freely.

Like Dan, I had this feeling in my gut for quite awhile, that if Donald Trump was defeated by Joe Biden in November, things would change with our freedoms, especially in the areas of the First and Second Amendments, fairly quickly.  I did not expect it to start happening even before the inauguration.

Is there any doubt, or shock, that there is a war on your God-given, big R Rights?  There won't be after you see this episode.  Do you still think that it won't come to your door?  It already has!  Don't forget that if Big Tech can "cancel" the President, you can only imagine what it can do to you.  They have "crossed the Rubicon" in a very big way.

Because I know that Dan Bongino would prefer that I embed the Rumble.com video here, I am now doing that! We Gotta Fix This ~ Ep. 1431 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the extremely dangerous path we are headed down in the coming weeks, and what we can do to turn it around.

I won't disagree with what Dan tells us in this episode.  Violence is not the answer.  Yes, Dan is right about that.  But, what if the opponents start going further than taking us out online?  What if their idea of canceling is permanent?

I didn't see this episode until Sunday evening.  I had already started wondering about what was going to happen to us.  I'm sorry, but this episode didn't quite boost my optimism a whole lot.  No, Dan didn't say anything wrong.  The problem is, he told us the truth about what may be coming.  The fact is that so far, he has already been right on the money.

And what I'm saying now, is something very difficult.  More than just our fortune may be at stake.  Let's do our best to stick together, however it is possible.  It won't be on Twitter, apparently.  Just sayin'...

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly in Georgia ~ Ep. 1428 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the disturbing new developments out of Georgia as questions continue to multiply about the election. I also address the troubling new investigation into the origins of the coronavirus.

Okay, I had a YUGE takeaway from this episode.  Good job Dan Bongino!  Bravo, my man!  The problem as I think you were trying to key on, is the Media.  The lying, fake news gaslighting networks, and social media platforms!  They lie by feeding misinformation, and by omission.

Because I think this country will begin sliding down the slippery slope into the abyss on January 20, 2021, I post this symbol of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property, in protest:

Yes, this country IS in a state of dire distress.  Today, President Trump has been permanently banned from Twitter.  The Soviet Pravda lying fake news and corporate social media arms of the Demonicrat Party has assured us of something we always knew. They openly worked to help elect Joe Biden.  Now, they are pushing to get Congress to go after the President with another impeachment, with just 12 days left of his term. Folks, the media isn't going to just stop at bashing the President; they will be coming after all of us that supported him next.

Watch this episode, Dan has a whole lot to tell us.  And he's not happy.  Wait until you hear about how it looks like the Corona was made in a Chinese lab.  I'm leaving it there for now, I need to get this posted that I can get started on the next episode.  It's such a wonderful way to spend a Friday night!  Hopefully, I'll be caught up before next week starts!

The Most Disgusting Revelation Yet in the Biden Case ~ Ep. 1374 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the disgusting new revelations in the case against the Biden crime family. Biden should immediately drop out of the race if this new information is confirmed. I also address an astonishing comment by a former Twitter executive regarding Donald Trump.

If true, the information that Dan tells us about regarding what is found on Hunter Biden's laptop is disgusting.  No, make that horribly disgusting.  Nah, I have to go a little further: It's horribly disgusting and very disturbing.  I know, I didn't throw in the part that there would be laws that were broken regarding Hunter's heartbreaking interaction with children that carry extreme criminal penalties.

Remember that:  If TRUE.  Well, if I were a betting man, I'd say that a prosecutor would have a slam-dunk case, and there would be an end to Hunter's freedom for a long time, and definitely the end of his pop's political "career"... You know, the Big Guy?  Okay, if there were to be some side bets, I'd put a little skin in on the possible links to the human trafficking rings, along with who will be willing to flip on their associates.  Yeah, that's kind of what criminals do, when faced with life sentences or death penalties.

So, pay close attention to how Dan puts it when he discusses what America's Mayor has done.  Rudy Guiliani has turned over the contents of the hard drive that was on Hunter Biden's laptop that was taken into a repair shop in Delaware that he somehow failed to ever pick up. I am pretty sure that Dan used the word, "Grotesque," but I could be wrong, though he uses that word often when trying to portray disgusting things like what might be on that laptop.

Giuliani, a former U.S. attorney and New York City mayor, confirmed Tuesday night he went Monday to a local police department in Wilmington to report his concerns of children endangerment and sexual exploitation. Giuliani told Just the News that former New York Police Department commissioner Bernard Kerik joined him when he delivered photographs and text messages to the New Castle County Police Department.

"I told them other details about what appears to be an inappropriate sexual relationship," he said in an interview. "They told me it would be investigated."

Okay, I know one thing for sure, following this episode, and what we got out of it:  We are in a true information war.  If the Big Tech companies want to play around with the information, we will find very good alternatives like Rumble.com and Parler.com.  Even if it is by just word of mouth, we can win the information war.  Everybody needs to listen to Dan's podcast episodes, or watch them on Rumble or YouTube, but be informed!  And then do all we can to spread the word, and don't get down and out and give up if some people just won't listen.  Even people in your own family may not want to listen.  That's alright, don't get into a fight with people you love.  Maybe someday, though, they'll find out you were right.  Just sayin'...

The Biden Scandal Explodes ~ Ep. 1372 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the explosive new evidence emerging that the Biden crime family is an active national security threat. I also address the misleading polling data and the early voting data which appear to be good news for the Trump campaign.
If I was Joe Biden?  I would start worrying about his son Hunter flipping on him.  Where is Hunter, by the way?  In the real world, any criminal kingpin would be worrying about such a thing, even with their own family.  The stakes are very high for the Biden Crime Family and their associates.  The stakes are also very high in regards to our national security.  Dan Bongino gives us facts that supports that conclusion.

Cutting this shorter than usual, so I can get to the next episode, now that I am already getting behind, and the week is just beginning!  It is so important to be watching these episodes with all that is going on in regard to the Big Tech absolutely stunning attempts to suppress this story on Twitter, Facebook, and Google, and the abominable lack of journalism on the part of the Mainstream media, who you would think would be reporting on the biggest corruption scandal of the last century, with an election just a short two weeks away.  Well, the citizen journalists will have to fill in the gap, though sometimes it is difficult to have the creditability to get people to truly want to know about these stories.

The Growing Threat of a Digital Coup by the Tech Tyrants ~ Ep. 1363 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I address the media meltdown over Trump’s recovery from coronavirus. I also discuss the real story behind the explosive new revelations in the Spygate case. They’re all caught. And they know it.

I also discuss the troubling possibility of a digital coup by Big Tech. This is a threat to our Republic. I interview Allum Bokhari about his new book "#DELETED: Big Tech's Battle to Erase the Trump Movement and Steal the Election"
https://www.amazon.com/dp/154605930X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_UiqEFbDQMJBTK
Yes, I've skipped ahead about 10 episodes, meaning there are about 9 episodes I haven't seen yet.  The problem is, when I saw an episode I felt was very important, meaning all of them, I'd have this craving to share them here.  The desire, though, will be on the rest of us, that if we haven't seen them yet, we'll eventually get the time to see every episode.  They are easy to find, once you've been here.  But, what else was bothering me, was to not know how Dan was doing, so I really had to jump ahead so I could be up to date.  I wouldn't have known about his health issue had I not caught one of Dan's appearances on Fox & Friends a week ago.

I was very glad I got to see this episode tonight.  And I still have another episode, from Wednesday, 10/7/20, Ep. 1364, to watch very soon, too.  All of this episode was excellent.  I loved the interview with Allum Bokhari, author and columnist for Breitbart.  I learned a lot from watching that interview.  It was very informative, though part of the discussion may have been more technical than some people will grasp.  But don't worry, the enormous take-away is that there is a lot of evidence that Big Tech could be a great threat to our freedom.  That is what jumped out at me.  And it is pretty scary for those of us that understand how critical information is being "blocked" by Big Tech, and may be in favor of a different candidate in a political race, i.e. Election 2020.

There is a really big reason that the Demonicrats need Joe Biden to win in 2020:  It is the only way to halt the probes and investigations that may take down a lot of former Obama-Biden administration officials, maybe even Hillary.  Dan explains something about Gina Espy, now head of the CIA, who just happens to have links to the London players in Spygate.  Dan lays out the situation, and it would sure be a way for mainstream media to actually survive, if they bothered to report on all of the breaking news in Spygate... Oh, but wait, they just tell the public it's a conspiracy theory.  Nothing to see here... Major mistake on their part.

Thank God for Dan, which is why we really need to be praying for his healing.  We need him around for us, and his family.

Are We Looking at an Election 2020 Nightmare Scenario? ~ Ep. 1282 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I address the potential for a 2020 election nightmare which would tear the country apart. I also address the riots in front of the White House last night. I discuss the latest outrageous media attack on innocent civilians trying to defend themselves.
Dan gets on a roll in one of the segments in the middle of the episode, where he talks about the media attacks on the people that are trying to defend themselves, but are slurred by NPR who said they were the violent extremists, and the fact that the left-wing media doesn't even care that they are lying.  That's definitely a segment that I want you to pay attention to.

And then, there of course is the 2020 election nightmare that Dan mentions.  Yes, election fraud is one of my highest concerns at this moment.  Especially because of who are opponents are, and they want to "transform" America.  Well?  What else can they say is their platform, besides Socialism is good and capitalism is bad, and that we should all be dependent on the State, and Government is the answer to all our problems, and going to church will get us all killed because of the Coronavirus, but it's okay to go to the weed shop so that you can forget all of your problems?  That it should be the government that is worshipped, and not God?   Yes, so us patriotic, God loving, peaceful and quiet Americans will just comply with the "rules," but it's okay for rioters, a.k.a. "protesters," according to Fake News Media, to go and destroy monuments to our history and heritage?  This whole thing is very troubling.

Sometimes, I actually feel the most free when I am writing these blogs.  Allow me to explain.
Last week, when I was writing my post for Ep. 1278, I had mentioned what I have been doing, and in order to show the courtesy to ask if it was okay, I emailed Dan Bongino, just to make sure I had his blessing. Here is a quote from that post:
This thing I've been doing, writing a blog following all his episodes, can be extremely time consuming for me, but I live for every moment in doing it. But, there is something that I know I need to do: I am going to have to contact him and get his permission to keep doing this, where I embed his videos into the blogs. I don't know if I will get any reply, and I'm not sure if he will grant me the permission to embed his youtube videos. But, I promise, I'll at least make the effort to request the permission.
I sent the email to Dan, hopefully to the right email address.  Well, as I figured, I didn't get a reply yet.  Or, maybe his attorneys are preparing a cease and desist order.  I don't really know.  But, until I hear a resounding "NO!" I will keep on keeping on.  And I at least attempted to make things right.

When I was feeling somewhat gloomy just last night, I found this fantastic "Daily Motivator" from Ralph Marston.  Here is a small portion of the post:
Your time, knowledge, skills and resources are limited. So by all means put them to good use, and do what you can.

Take every opportunity to move life a little bit in the direction you want it to go. Do what you can, again and again, and you’ll find yourself doing a lot more good than you ever could have imagined.

— Ralph Marston
Really think about this, there is a lot of meaning to it, especially right now.  I'm doing what I can to help President Trump get another four years (including a whole lot of prayers!).  I'm doing what I can to help Dan Bongino reach more people. Why?  To help him make more money?  Nope.  There is just ONE reason, and that is because he is fighting back.  I love a fighter.  We're all getting a bit fed up with the Liberal lies and insults from Demonicrat politicians and Leftist media, and the censorship by the Big Tech guys in Silicon Valley.  We all need to continue fighting!

So, yes, I really do love Ralph's words, which are worth repeating again: "Do what you can, again and again, and you’ll find yourself doing a lot more good than you ever could have imagined."  Exactly, and that is what I'm doing, and will continue to, until I'm no longer able, due to health, death, or being put in a gulag somewhere.

PLEASE watch all of this episode if you can possibly fit it into your busy day.

Tech Tyrants Declare War on Trump ~ Ep. 1260 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I address the troubling new developments in the tech tyrant’s war on conservatives and Donald Trump. I also address the infamous Russia “hack” of the DNC - did it really happen. Finally, I address Americans fighting back against the outrageous lockdowns.

As Dan always says, it was a totally loaded show today. Packed! Where do I even start? How about with the tech tyrant, Jack Dorsey and his accountability as Twitter CEO. He wrote in a tweet earlier today, and I did only partially quote his tweet, but will provide the link here, "Fact check: there is someone ultimately accountable for our actions as a company, and that’s me..." I will go no further in my comments here, other than to tell you, Jack, Dan says you have big problems now, daddio. Jack just opened up a Pandora's box doing what he did to "fact check" a tweet by @realDonaldTrump, our President. No, he didn't! Oh, yes, he DID!

Keeping in mind that the fact check on the President is not a freedom of speech issue, as Dan goes on to explain, but it is a free market issue. More than that, Twitter can no longer be labeled as a "social media platform," with the insertion of editing. They would now be a "publisher," meaning that they can be sued for defamation or libel.  By editing anyone, they are showing editorial review. Yes, that kind of opens up that Pandora's box a bit, but not as much as the other thing. The FEC (Federal Election Commission) regarding "in kind political donations." See, just a little problem there for Twitter. They only fact checked the President, who is also a candidate for President on the GOP ticket in 2020. If they aren't doing that to anyone else, then it would benefit who ever the Demonicrat candidate ends up being, if the trend continues.

Dan threw in some good humor in this episode, and you will get some good laughs. However, on a real serious side, Dan really got me on the Governor Cuomo (D-NY) order to put Covid-19 patients into nursing homes. Yeah, just ask Janice Dean of Fox News about how that worked out. It didn't end well at all!  But on the other hand, I have something to be very grateful of, here in Iowa.  I haven't been able to go see my dad, who is over 100 years old.  He is in a nursing home.  They are locked down, with stringent protocols for the employees there, and the residents.  He is safe for now, and I pray that when this is all over I can see him again!

That being said. enjoy the show, especially the MSNBC faceplant in a report from Wisconsin.  Hilarious!

The Solution to Mass Shootings, Crime, and Your Own Personal Struggles - JJ McNown - Video

I learned about JJ McNown on Twitter. His handle there is @jjmcnown. I've met a lot of pretty cool people over on Twitter. There is a ground swell of people that feel what I feel.

It isn't the proverbial "fad" like some on the left would try to tell you. It isn't a bunch of people that jumped on a bandwagon because it was the cool thing to do - at the moment. No, heck no! It is because a bunch of people found out that there were a bunch of people that felt the same way that a bunch of people felt - which was, this country is falling apart because of a certain mindset in the "political class" known as the Left...

Okay, enough of my rant. Just check these things out. I know you are busy. I know it's hard to keep up on everything, always so much to do. However, I say that with emphasis, I'm about to make my own announcement soon, on a way we can help you stay informed while being so busy with life.

A nation of mental weaklings ~ By Phil Elmore

In our weakness as a society, we have decided – and we are teaching our children – that anything critical of us or our opinions is mean, anything mean is bullying, and anything that can be construed as bullying is illegal. We then strut about the Internet alternatively weeping, throwing up our hands in distress and threatening to sue anyone who has ever said something we did not like, even when we invited public criticism by publishing our work or our opinions in public. This attitude cannot be allowed to persist because it is undermining the spirit of individualism and of coping that made America the proud nation it once was. More worryingly, the inability of some of our citizens to cope with life creates an antagonism that makes everyone miserable.

In my first experiences in social networking online was on digg.com and youtube.com. I was appalled by the large amount of mean-spirited comments on anything I had submitted for the world to see! And did it bother me? You better believe it did! I wasn't raised that way, especially with the vulgar language built into the vitriolic remarks. However, I soon realized something that helped me cope. I realized that it wasn't my fault that they were not raised the same way I was. I found it was much easier not to be upset and fight back, but just to let it roll off.

However, as Phil is saying, there are people in the online communities that are incapable of accepting someone else's opinions, and I saw a lot of my friends at digg.com get banned. In many cases, it truly was just for having a different opinion from the folks who filed the complaints. Phil wrote, "That is the dirty secret held by the mental weaklings who cry 'bullying' and 'harassment' every time they are confronted with criticism." The sad thing is, those who whimper about "bullying" and "harassment" have taken it to a new level, when they claim that it is those with different opinions that are making them feel victimized! No, actually, that isn't just sad... It's a threat to our freedom of speech when our opinions and criticism are no longer tolerated because somebody may be offended. As Phil said in the excerpt above, "This attitude cannot be allowed to persist because it is undermining the spirit of individualism and of coping that made America the proud nation it once was."

Do you become despondent when someone you barely know "unfriends" you on a social media site like Facebook? Do you weep when you realize you have fewer "followers" on Twitter than you did the day before? Do you experience feelings of social withdrawal, loneliness and even suicide when a complete stranger leaves a nasty comment on one of your YouTube videos?

Are you a wilting, hind-wringing, self-absorbed pansy?

Recently, a coalition of fretting social commentators, parenting "experts" and media pundits pronounced that our children, for whom social media is a pervasive, integral part of their day-to-day lives, risk near-crippling "depression" should they fail to be affirmed, validated and friended on the Internet. "Because of the intensity of the online world," sniffed Parenting.com's Jennifer Kelly Geddes at CNN, "teens who spend a great deal of time there may be at risk for a new phenomenon called 'Facebook depression.' Teen development is, in large part, about separating from parents and gaining peer acceptance, and social networking sites allow them to do both. But if online harassment or rejection occurs, such as 'de-friending,' symptoms of depression may be the result."

It is this attitude that is crippling our society with mental weakness, hypersensitivity and overreaction to criticism. Recently, I spoke about this very issue with Beverly Pearson, a retired RN with 20 years experience working with a popular OB/GYN. "Teenagers today aren't prepared anymore," she told me. "We have prolonged childhood. Growing up, we all knew that when we hit 18 we were expected to be on our own. We geared our lives, including high school, as preparation for life, because we knew that 18 was adulthood."

Previously in Technocracy, I explained how "zero tolerance" attitudes in our schools are creating a nation of victims who are trained to be passive. Taught that defending themselves is no different than attacking someone else – taught, ultimately, that there is no moral difference between aggressor and defender, between rapist and raped, between murderer and victim – they grow into adults who won't fight for their civil rights because they simply won't know how. More insidious than this, however, is the transformation modern attitudes about "bullying" and cyberbullying," now coupled with anxious doomsaying about "Facebook depression," is wreaking in our citizens. If we do not acknowledge, refute and rebuke these attitudes, we will soon be a nation of bedwetting man-boys and girl-women, incapable of coping with even the most benign or deserved of criticism.

Take, for example, young Rebecca Black, who became a viral video sensation with an insipid, monstrously auto-tuned song and video she performed with the help of a paid service. That service indulges would-be pop singers by taking their parents' money and inserting them into prepackaged pablum destined to die quietly and unobserved on video-sharing sites like YouTube ... but in Rebecca's case, the perfect storm of dumb lyrics, awful video and earnest desire made her video an auditory train wreck from which few can turn away. Rather than focus on her success, Rebecca has made the media rounds complaining about the "bullying" she experienced when people left nasty comments on her stupid video (see below).

Democrat 'trolls' skulking online ~ By Phil Elmore

Why? Why am I posting this? Don't I know what I may face, and the kind of attacks that I could get because of this post? Did I not consider the things that I read last night in Phil Elmore's column, and what I saw in the links and the video that I've embedded below? Could I become a target of Democrat "trolls"(thugs)?

Well, because I'm not stupid, I do know the answers to those questions, and I am very aware of the fact that I could be quickly trashed into oblivion. And in seeing that the Democrats are fine with Saul Alinsky's "the end justifying the means" tactics, I'm very aware of what may come at me, or my friends, or my family. And that is certainly frightening to know that those currently in power would stoop to threatening me or my family to keep me silent. Nah, I am sure I am not that important, so they will probably resort to getting me banned on facebook, twitter or youtube. No, wait. I'm not that important... They'd have to pull in some favors to go that far. They'll probably just do what they do best, and try to trash me on twitter or digg.com.

But to think.... Hmmmm..... if the leftist trolls were to go after my family to keep me silent... What would I do? Seriously folks, if our silence means so much to the Progressives and their ilk, that they would stoop to such things so low... (And I can't believe that I live in an America where that question could possibly be asked.) But it's true, and they have already stooped that low.

To my friend Phil Elmore, I hope that you know that your column will make people ask a lot of questions. I'm afraid that many people will think about what could be lost if they don't remain silent, and I'm not referring to the Fifth Amendment. Wow, Phil, you opened a can of worms that I hope won't bite us back. Because, you know what? Other regimes have gained power or stayed in power by sheer intimidation to keep dissension to a minimum. "Those that dissent, well, they are probably just crazy... They should be institutionalized." And, as always... Just sayin'...

The benefits of social networking generally outweigh the costs – and those risks. To be a conservative or libertarian on others' virtual turf, however, is to operate behind enemy lines as often as not. To establish a virtual settlement in hostile territory and then loudly proclaim one's affiliation is to invite the hurled rocks – and rockets – of the liberals' contempt. When we take keyboard in hand and speak of politics in social networks, we must do it with our heads high, our fingers limber and our eyes wide open.

Two weeks ago in Technocracy, I shared with you my personal experiences – and those of friends and family – concerning the pervasive and persistent influence of Facebook. The more people use a specific social networking site, the more influential such networks become. When a majority or simply a plurality of people communicate and socialize through a website, those who don't practically cease to exist for those who do.

Now, micro-blogging site Twitter, increasingly a means through which social networkers connect, share news and market (commercially or politically), has announced that it has set its user target at 1 billion, matching Facebook's target. Twitter ranks third among social networking sites – after Facebook and Windows Live Profile, but ahead of the faltering MySpace.

If we accept the volatility in our personal relationships that widespread social networking produces, we must then contend with a stickier issue: that of gatekeeping. A social networking site is a private business entity, at least theoretically governed by its terms of service. There is no guarantee of free speech on another's property. If the ownership or management of a privately owned website chooses to treat its customers unfairly, those whose opinions it deems undesirable can effectively be rendered second-class citizens. If those customers don't like it, they have little recourse but to start their own competing site. When a site is extremely large, competing successfully with it will rarely be a realistic option.

Just as Google has repeatedly demonstrated a political bias while promoting controversial business practices (from Google Earth's routine invasions of privacy and improperly collecting data wirelessly to retaining users' search data for analysis and unfairly censoring YouTube content), Facebook has been accused of removing accounts associated with the tea-party movement and the Gasden Flag. Perhaps the most prominent of these accusations was made after a notorious conspiracy theorist's official Facebook page was deleted, but there have been others. To lose one's networking page or pages is a bigger problem for dedicated users than you might think.

When a site becomes so popular, so trafficked, that we take it for granted, it becomes part of our social infrastructure. Suddenly the owners of that site become our de facto masters, for as the gatekeepers of access to that site, they control your experience of it. They can reward you with power, such as is the case for those who control and oversee the "public" editing of the international graffiti board Wikipedia – an "encyclopedia" so inaccurate and so biased its entries might as well be spray-painted on beach sand at low tide. If those power-brokers choose to declare you persona non grata, for reasons just and unjust, they simply click a few buttons and make you an unperson to their website's denizens.

This brings us to "Twittergate." In Technocracy on June 24, 2010, I discussed yet again Democrats' willingness to use violence to intimidate, hurt, or even kill all who dare to disagree (while making it illegal to expose their crimes). This Democrat thuggery – which occurs even as the libs wring their hands and lie, vilifying conservatives as vaguely "dangerous" to demonize and marginalize them without specific evidence – has now invaded social networking. Those of you who have dared to express support for liberty and opposition to commie-lib policies on Facebook may think you have witnessed this thuggery, as legions of angry liberals crawl out of your friends lists to chastise you for your thoughtcrime (and your racism, and your insensitivity). What you don't know is that Democrat thuggery online is much, much worse than you realize.

So what was "Twittergate"?

Glenn Beck's The Blaze reposted a video (see video above; the original video on The Blaze is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Sony Music Entertainment) in which the Democrats were accused of hiring "trolls" to provoke conservatives into saying things that could then be used against them online. Lefties across the Web were quick to point and laugh. "Those stupid conservatives," they tittered (and twittered and tweeted and posted and blustered). "They should just ignore the harassment, the insults and the threats. Liberals would never collude to stop conservative views from airing fairly. It's a conspiracy theory and nothing more." We, as conservatives, can only scratch our heads at how quickly the Journolist scandal – in which a cabal of leftist "journalists" colluded to bias their coverage – was collectively declared a dead story. Had the political aisles been reversed, we'd still be talking about it.

Obamacare meets Twitter ~ By Star Parker

Star ParkerBy Star Parker Posted: August 08, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 President Obama is a clever and ambitious man. And he has surrounded himself with staff who are clever and ambitious people. This bright crew understood from the outset that time would determine if they would succeed with their health care plan. They understood that their plan, which would require massive new expenditures, new taxes and major new government interventions, had to be done quickly if it would get done at all. They understood that it had to be done while the president's approval ratings were still high so Congress would bend to his will. And that it had to breeze through and land on the president's desk before the general public could scrutinize it and understand the major way it would impact their lives. As result, we've been hearing for months about the president's deadlines, tied to a list of explanations (economic recovery, if we don't do it now we'll never do it, growing hordes of uninsured, etc.) of why the world will collapse if these sweeping reforms were not passed by August. Now Washington's hot and humid August is here, Congress is adjourned, health care reform did not reach the House or Senate floor, and the White House is in panic mode. What they knew and feared they now confront: dropping approval ratings and rising public awareness. When the administration kicked this off with its White House Health Care Summit early last March, the president's 62 percent approval, per Gallup, was 36 points higher than his 26 percent disapproval. Now, at 56 percent approval and 37 percent disapproval, the gap has shrunk to 19 points. A new poll from Quinnipiac University has him at 50 percent approval and 42 percent disapproval. And, the details of the thousand-page monstrosity, word by word, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph, are being delivered to desktops, laptops and Blackberrys. Group e-mails, websites, Twitter and Facebook accounts are churning. Old discredited socialist ideas meet the new economy, and free people are reacting and revolting – as the White House knew they would if they got a chance to know what was going down. Ironically, this technologically savvy administration is being hung by its own petard. [CONTINUE READING]

"Breaking News:" #Twitterfail

From the BNO Newsroom. LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) -- Millions of Twitter users from around the world were locked out of Twitter after a denial-of-service attack (DOS) on its service. And after the recent media frenzy around the social networking website, the media certainly noticed: breaking news. Several other social networking websites, including Facebook, also experienced problems but it was not immediately clear if those were related to Twitter. [READ MORE]

Sarah Palin not under FBI investigation, agency spokesman says

This story came to me via Twitter by the Governor herself:
~ AKGovSarahPalin Trying to keep up w/getting truth to u, like proof there's no "FBI scandal", here's link http://tinyurl.com/nzlae8 Thanks, AK! ~
The former GOP vice presidential candidate's surprise resignation as Alaska governor had set off speculation, including rumors of a pending federal corruption probe or charges. By Josh Meyer July 5, 2009 latimes.com ~ Reporting from Washington -- A day after Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin resigned, a federal official in her home state dismissed one potential explanation for her sudden and unexpected resignation: a rumored FBI investigation into the former Wasilla mayor on public corruption charges. Despite rumors of a looming controversy after the Republican governor's surprise announcement Friday that she would leave office this month, some of them published in the blogosphere, the FBI's Alaska spokesman said the bureau had no investigation into Palin for her activities as governor, as mayor or in any other capacity. "There is absolutely no truth to those rumors that we're investigating her or getting ready to indict her," Special Agent Eric Gonzalez said in a phone interview Saturday. "It's just not true." He added that there was "no wiggle room" in his comments for any kind of inquiry. The FBI has been active in mounting corruption investigations in Alaska, some to see whether local, state and federal lawmakers illegally received favors, money or free construction work from businesses or people seeking favors. The most high-profile case was against former Republican Sen. Ted Stevens, whose conviction last year on charges of lying on Senate ethics forms stemmed from charges that a politically connected developer had done work on his house illegally. [CONTINUE READING]

Things will be changing

By John Kubicek It was all so easy before. And then, suddenly, everything changed. Just what will be the ultimate impact of the major changes made at digg.com? Let's start with this: I used to be able to post stories I found or submitted at digg.com directly to this blog. But not now. Suddenly, that option is gone. You can now submit stories directly to Twitter or Facebook - your only options besides email. I sent a request to digg.com for some information about this, from their public relations/press inuiries departments, but did not get a response to my questions by this time of publication. I gave them a chance to respond. To be fair, I'll give them a little more time to respond before I post the questions I had for them. What has happened here seems to have some insidious agenda behind it. Shouts, a way that digg users could easily use to communicate between mutual friends, have been shut off. That hurt, but not as much as what I found out about being able to post digg stories directly to MY blog, rather than twitter or facebook. It seems to me like somebody needed to slow down the Conservatives. Many of us at digg.com were in a great network that was growing even faster than lefties were able to get us banned. Yes, things will be changing. I am so afraid of losing track of many of the friends that I had gained over the last two years. So this is why I have to ask, is there a place we can find to meet that WON'T be sucking out all of our private info? And I say it that way, because you know what? This seems to be so devious, and I have this feeling that we've been "played" to get us former "diggers" somehow addicted... I'm just sayin' .... And I guarantee I'll be writing more about this, assuming they let me live a few more days.
