Former CIA officer explodes on Secy Esper: 'Get the hell out of the Pentagon' ~ Fox News Video

From the youtube.com video description:
Democrat and Former CIA Officer Bryan Dean Wright says if Secretary of Defense Mark Esper doesn't see what's going on he should leave.
Tucker starts off the segment with  a lot of passion, and teaches a bit of Civics 101, about our elected officials, like the President, who is the Commander in Chief, and who controls the military; thus, that is the way we keep Democracy in tact.  Believe me, that is a very simplified version of Tucker's intro to this segment.

Then comes Bryan Dean Wright, the former CIA Officer that has some major problems with the Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, because of what had been stated by the Secretary this last week.  While watching his portion of this segment, I was wondering how this guy could be a Democrat!  Unless I missed something here, and please let me know if I did, Bryan sounds like he has a firm grasp of what the Founders intended with our Constitution, and was firmly in favor of defending and protecting our Constitution, in order to keep this country together.  That just doesn't sound like many Democrats that I've heard talking lately.  Well, maybe we can get this Democrat to come over to our side, and walk away from the Democrats. I'm just sayin'...

Bang, bang. You're dead ~ By Barbara Simpson

And now in the case of Ivan Lopez, the question is asked again: How could a single armed person wreak such havoc on a state-of-the-art military base?

The answer is simple yet bizarre.

Our military men and woman are denied the right to carry guns on the base.

Never mind that they’re trained, that they took an oath to defend the Constitution, that we send them into battle to use loaded weapons.

On a U.S. military base on U.S. soil, we disarm them.

Is it any wonder that someone with the urge to take some sort of perverted revenge against this country will take advantage of that situation?
In Barbara's column, she correctly opines that it seems "Obama and the rest of them believe if we disarm, the bad guys – of whatever persuasion – will leave us alone." Of course, the bad guys don't work that way, really. They are always going to attack the softest targets, such as anywhere there are gun free zones like schools and universities, churches, malls, movie theatres, or businesses. It is just the half-baked liberal logic on display, and it always fails.

To further illustrate this opinion which I share with Barbara Simpson, I'll allow Mike Huckabee's commentary in the video below to get the point across much better than I can.

As Barbarba will point out, the liberal logic debility of disarming doesn't just stop with gun free zones. "This administration has the goal of reducing, if not eliminating entirely, our nuclear weapon capability." That will make the bad guys like us, right? Probably not quite so much. Just sayin'...

From WND Commentary

Last Sunday, after my KSFO radio program, I saw a short report on the Internet that authorities were on the alert concerning an Army soldier who might be involved in an expected attack at Fort Hood, in Texas.

Fort Hood, again. It was the scene in 2009 of the largest attack on a domestic American military installation.

It was carnage committed with intent by a Maj. Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist – a Muslim angry about our involvement in the war on terrorism.

He killed 13 and wounded 30. The attack ended when police shot him.

He was left paralyzed from the waist down, and it took much too long for his trial, which finally found him guilty. He’s on death row at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.

Who knows when he’ll be executed?

Remember, Barack Obama never condemned the shooting rampage for what it clearly was: Islamic terrorism directed at our military and our country.

He didn’t do it at the time of the killings, during the trial or after. It’s a safe bet he never will.

I thought about that and decided I’d write my next WND column – this one – about Fort Hood, the almost forgotten massacre and the fact the convicted killer is still alive.

China reveals 'ace' against U.S. military ~ by F. Michael Maloof

As WND previously has reported, China is giving a priority to developing EMP weapons that could be used against U.S. aircraft carriers, which increasingly are arriving in the South and East China Seas as part of the new U.S. “pivot” policy toward Asia.

That policy is to challenge China’s claims over all of the East and South China Seas and the increasing assertiveness by Beijing, which is trying to gain exclusive control over vital minerals and energy in the region.
When you see this column posted here today, please do not conclude that it is is just more fear-mongering paranoia. This is not posted here because of a paranoid threat of World War III starting tomorrow. There is much more to this column than the reporting on a military threat from China that you'll learn on close scrutiny.

During previous American Presidential administrations, it is doubtful that China would not only attempt an attack on American forces defending Taiwan, they wouldn't have rattled sabers about it, either, at least not in such a threatening manner. As explained in this column, "the Chinese military has calculated that the U.S. military is too fragmented and, coupled with the downturn in the economy, would be less likely to come to Taiwan’s assistance, forcing Taiwan to defend itself." Does that not say what China thinks of the resolve of our current President? No, Obama is not going to go down in history as our "peace-through-strength" President, is he. If anything, I think it is just the opposite. My conclusion, which I came to a long time ago, as in when Obama took office, is reinforced by this kind of information.

Unless what the Chinese allegedly said was totally fabricated, we should be wondering about the strategy of military cuts, and if that is leaving us vulnerable. I'm just sayin'...

China reveals 'ace' against U.S. military

On WND.com

WASHINGTON – Members of the Chinese military are looking to use an electromagnetic pulse as part of a “one-two punch” to knock out – literally within seconds – all defensive electronics not only on Taiwan but also on U.S. warships that could defend the island.

This revelation comes in an article by Lou Xiaoqing who says the People’s Liberation Army sees an EMP weapon as the primary means of incapacitating Taiwan and disabling American defenders nearby.

Given that such a strategy was made public in an article entitled “Electromagnetic pulse bombs are Chinese ace,” it is seen as reflecting the official Chinese government position.

Xaoqing said that if the Chinese were to use a high-altitude nuclear device which would create the destructive EMP impact on Taiwan’s electronics, it would be exploded at an attitude of 18 miles to avoid damaging civilian and military equipment on the Chinese mainland, which might happen if the bomb exploded at a higher altitude.

“China is attracted to the fight against the U.S. military after the effective range, using them as a means of surprise attack or an intimidation factor,” Xaoqing said. “The United States will abandon the use of aircraft carrier battle groups to defend Taiwan.”

Xaoqing said that the Chinese military has calculated that the U.S. military is too fragmented and, coupled with the downturn in the economy, would be less likely to come to Taiwan’s assistance, forcing Taiwan to defend itself.

WIFLI Briefing for May 27, 2012 - The "Flavor of Freedom"

UPDATE May 28, 2012:
I am dedicating the this WIFLI Briefing, "The 'Flavor of Freedom'," to possibly the bravest in the land of the brave and home of the free.

UPDATE May 30, 2012:
I am extremely honored and humbled by the inclusion of this column in an article written on The Christian Post by Alex Murashko on May 28, 2012, "Survey: Nearly Half of Americans Lost Relative or Friend to War".

"Those who expect to reap the benefits of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." ~ Thomas Paine
I don't think that anyone could have said it any better. Fighting for our freedom takes a major toll on us. The flavor of freedom can be very bitter.

We honor, on Memorial Day, those that gave their lives in the defense of this country, and the freedom that it stands for. While those that gave their all are our heroes, I have this feeling that it is the loved ones of our fallen that are our true heroes, the ones that have to endure the sacrifice of one of their own. Our children, parents, grandparents, or friends, it is not easy to accept the loss when it happens.

No, the flavor of freedom can be very difficult to swallow. While there are many of us that have never had to taste the feeling of that loss, it is important to know that we can almost comprehend the sorrow.

As an American who has served in the military, there is that feeling within me that I must continue to do what ever I can to keep the cause of freedom alive. I believe that I must do something today to help with the healing process for those that have lost somebody that was defending our liberty. It is my duty to keep the families and friends of those who gave it all for our freedom in my constant thoughts  and prayers. They are the ones that have to go on with life without a loved one in their immediate sight... for the time being.

You must be warned that what you will read and see in this post could possibly cause uncontrollable weeping. I apologize for the pain that you may encounter, but darn, the flavor of freedom isn't always that tasty. It's my hope that this assignment was a reminder that there are many that will endure the pain of a loss and we must help them endure a hole in their hearts, the best we can. I'm just sayin'...

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I borrowed the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

Fallen heroes and the 'flavor of freedom'
See powerful wartime story of loss and survivors' incredible journey to healing
From WND ~ By Chelsea Schilling ~ Published May 26, 2012

CHELSEA SCHILLING
Meet Sgt. James McIlvaine of Olney, Md. – a handsome 26-year-old U.S. Marine, devoted husband, loving father of two young children and dedicated man anyone would want the privilege of calling a friend.

McIlvaine, known for having a splendid sense of humor that could make a room full of people roar with laughter, served in the U.S. military for nearly eight years – including combat missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.

A natural leader, he knew a thing or two about loyalty, love of his country, service and sacrifice.

Marine Sgt. James McIlvaine
In fact, he sacrificed his own life for your freedom.

On April 30, 2009, his five-man explosive ordnance disposal team retrieved a roadside bomb beside an Iraqi police station in Al Anbar province, Iraq. A robot was used to disarm the device, but when the bomb was being transported to a safe location, it exploded without warning.

The blast killed Sgt. McIlvaine instantly.

Several Iraqi policemen and two other team members were killed as well: Staff Sgt. Tony Wojciechowski and Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyler Trahan.

Acting quickly, Staff Sgt. Dustin Velzeboer risked his own life to save the remaining crew as a trailer filled with explosives caught fire after the initial blast. The wounded Marine jumped into the truck and drove it away as quickly as possible. As soon as he was far enough away, Velzeboer ran for his life. A large explosion decimated the vehicle, but everyone, including Velzeboer, was shielded from the blast. The Marine Corps awarded Velzeboer a Bronze Star with “V” device for his courage that day in Iraq.

But the deaths of those Marines filled their families and friends with unbearable heartache practically unimaginable by those who haven’t experienced such profound loss.

Sgt. McIlvaine left behind his wife, Cheryl, and children, Michael and Alexa, who were just 7 and 3 at the time of their father’s death.

Where is the Constitution? ~ By Henry Lamb

The meeting in Paris on March 19, attended by Hillary Clinton and representatives from other nations, was a group of "state actors issuing guidance and control mechanisms" that resulted in the bombing of a sovereign nation – using U.S. military assets without congressional approval. This action is global governance in action. Global governance must be rejected and national sovereignty reaffirmed as the only authority that governs the citizens of the United States.

If Barrack Hussein Obama cannot accept this concept, then he must be impeached. If there are too many progressive globalists still in Congress to accomplish this feat, then they too must be replaced with candidates who not only swear to "... preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution" but who pledge to obey it in every law and action.

The election in November 2010 was a good start toward restoring the Constitution. The election in 2012 will determine whether we do, in fact, respect and restore the Constitution or continue down Obama's road toward global governance.

I happened to find this column by Henry Lamb from early last week, written in addition to his normal Weekend column on WorldNetDaily.com. It is pretty easy to tell that Henry was worked up in this commentary, which explains his motivation to go above and beyond his normal weekly fulfillment of a column for WND.

So, what is it that had Henry so ruffled? When you read this column, you will surely understand, but I'll go ahead and summarize it here for you: 1) Obama committed U.S. armed forces into hostile action without consulting Congress, 2) which violates the War Powers Act, and worse yet, 3) "Obama disregarded the Constitution while submitting to the United Nations Security Council, and engaging the U.S. military" in Libya, 4) without even a whimper from leftist protesters.

In other words, "Obama's action is not simply endorsement of global governance; it is submission to it." Henry goes on to say the following, and he is absolutely right:
Every representative and senator should be deluged with phone calls from constituents demanding that the president be, at least, reprimanded for his behavior – and possibly impeached.

Where is the Constitution?
HENRY LAMB
By Henry Lamb

March 21, 2011 ~ 1:00 am Eastern

© 2011

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

President Obama swore an oath to "... preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." He should have sworn to obey it.

Congress, alone, has the power to declare war, and to make all the laws necessary to engage in military conflict. The War Powers Act defines precisely what is required of the president before military action may commence.

Obama launched 118 missiles and dropped 40 bombs on Libya without a thought about Congress or the Constitution.

He was quite concerned, however, about the United Nations. He hardly noticed the attacks on protesters until the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution authorizing the use of force against the Libyan government. Within hours after U.N. approval, the U.S. military was engaged – without the knowledge or approval of Congress.

This event is proof-positive evidence of two staggering realities: Obama refuses to accept the limitations on government, and particularly on his office, imposed by the Constitution, and Obama considers the United Nations to be a higher authority than Congress.

This event should be grounds for severe congressional censure, if not impeachment.

When President Bush bombed Iraq, he had congressional approval. Nevertheless, the left went berserk in protest, claiming that "Bush lied; people died." In response to a question from a Boston Globe reporter, Obama said: "As president, I will not assert a constitutional authority to deploy troops in a manner contrary to an express limit imposed by Congress and adopted into law" (Source: Boston Globe questionnaire on Executive Power Dec 20, 2007).

Obviously, Obama lied; people died. Where are the leftist protesters?

Washington is leaking oil ~ By Herman Cain

The oil light is on, and the Democrats still don't seem to have a clue.
As Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., and others have stated, Washington still does not get it. The Democrats still do not get it. They did not hear the very loud message of the election results. Stop ignoring the people!
It was a good analogy by Herman Cain to explain how you can know that you have some severe problems to deal with, but yet, your priorities have nothing to do with taking care of the problems facing this country. It seems that the Democrats are only happy when they do things to try to satisfy their leftist base. That is not good for the rest of us.

Washington is leaking oil

By Herman Cain

December 06, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern

© 2010

My first car as a teenager was an old car with a lot of problems, but at least it was functional. It had an oil leak, and I could not afford to get the leak fixed. It was cheaper for me to add oil occasionally to prevent the engine from totally locking up, or worse yet, catching fire.

The president, his administration and Congress are functionally leaking oil, and the American people are nervous about a total government shutdown, or worse yet, economic collapse. We are not too big to fail as some people seem to believe, and Uncle Sam does not have a "sugar daddy" to bail us out.

Leaking of classified information by WikiLeaks has compromised our national security, and has put our military warriors in and out of uniform at risk. We have yet to see definitive action by the administration to address the issue, even though we have seen and heard a lot of news stories that make us uncertain that the situation is under control.

Economic uncertainty continues to thwart economic growth while Congress and the administration continue to bicker over extending the existing tax rates. Extending all of the tax rates is the right thing to do for the economy, instead of playing class warfare once again to try to gain a political victory.

If Congress and the president do not act, then we will all see tax increases on Jan. 1, 2011. This would be a devastating blow to our economy. A sense of urgency by Washington does not seem to be a priority, as if they have the option to extend the 2010 calendar year. Thankfully, they do not.

Get out of Afghanistan now ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Joseph Farah By Joseph Farah Posted: December 17, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 I'll say it, again. It's time to bring all U.S. soldiers home from Afghanistan now. I don't know where Code Pink is these days. I don't know where that anti-war movement went. I don't understand why the escalation of a war by leadership that cannot define victory is not a problem for more Americans. This week WND reported the details of America's new rules of engagement in Afghanistan. The situation is much worse than I imagined. In effect, the war against al-Qaida and the Taliban has deteriorated into a police action not much different than the one cops in America wage every day against common criminals at home.
  • No night or surprise searches;
  • Villagers are to be warned prior to searches;
  • Afghan National Army or Afghan National Police must accompany U.S. units on searches;
  • U.S. soldiers may not fire at insurgents unless they are preparing to fire first;
  • U.S. forces cannot engage insurgents if civilians are present;
  • Only women can search women;
  • Troops can fire on insurgents if they catch them placing an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) but not if insurgents walk away from where the explosives are.
Do you believe this? I'm just a little surprised that U.S. soldiers are not required to read suspects their Miranda rights before capture. Maybe that's coming. Clearly, this is no way to win a war. America has never achieved victory this way in the past. No army has. No military could. READ FULL STORY >

Bring the troops home now! ~ By Joseph Farah

From WorldNetDaily
By Joseph Farah Posted: November 15, 2009 ~ 11:05 pm Eastern © 2009 I was a supporter of both the Afghanistan invasion and the Iraq war. I believed then, following the Sept. 11 attacks, that it was a matter of national security to hand Islamic terrorists stunning defeats in their own backyards. Even a year ago, I would have said bringing the troops home prematurely would be tantamount to surrender to an enemy determined to do us in. But that was then. This is now. Things have changed and changed dramatically. The biggest change is one in America's leadership. I do not believe Barack Obama is capable of achieving anything remotely resembling victory in either Iraq or Afghanistan – at least not victory for the United States of America. A president incapable of recognizing that war came home Nov. 5 at Fort Hood is certainly incapable of waging foreign wars. A president incapable of recognizing that terrorists are among us could never be counted on to do the right thing in remote places like Afghanistan and Iraq. A president whose own worst enemies are the Republican Party, Fox News Channel and the tea party movement couldn't possibly ever understand the nature of real combat. It's time to bring the troops home now! It's not without considerable reflection and sadness that I make this call. Like most Americans, I hoped to see the forces that attacked our country without provocation eight years ago utterly destroyed, incapacitated, defeated, devastated, annihilated, demolished and obliterated. It's clear that is no longer an option. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Political correctness kills 14 at Fort Hood ~ By Tom Tancredo

From WorldNetDaily
Tom TancredoBy Tom Tancredo Posted: November 14, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 By now we have all heard the reports of the Fort Hood shooter's radical Islamic tirades, his attempted communications with foreign terrorists, his Internet postings defending suicide bombings by Taliban fighters, and his public criticisms of America's role in Iraq and Afghanistan. We also know of his shout of "Allahu akbar!" as he opened fire on unarmed soldiers. Many are now asking the obvious questions about why the U.S. Army did not defuse this walking time bomb before he killed 14 people. Yes, the count is 14 – 13 soldiers and an unborn, 3-month-old baby inside what should have been the safety of the mother's womb. But what is almost as appalling as the terrorist act Hasan committed at Fort Hood is the shameful and self-serving excuses being offered by Obama administration officials in an attempt to deny the obvious – that Hasan's radical Islamic religious beliefs were the primary motivation for his actions. Hint to the President Obama: Maj. Hasan did not go to a movie theater or a ballpark to kill people. He wanted to kill soldiers, soldiers who were about to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan to fight the Taliban and al-Qaida. Why did he do it? Because he wants al-Qaida to win. Hasan did not have a "workplace grievance." He did not "snap under stress." There is literally no evidence of that. He was coolly rational and methodical. He wanted to kill American soldiers, he planned to do it, and thanks to epidemic political correctness in the U.S. Army and throughout our society, he was allowed to do it – on American soil. Send Chuck Norris to the troops for Christmas

From WorldNetDaily
Program dispatches best-selling book to cheer, encourage soldiers Posted: November 13, 2009 ~ 11:40 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily Although Gen. John Pershing at one point in his fabled military career observed that "the deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle," Marines and members of the other service branches also are regular people – sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, moms and dads. And it is to honor and support these special Americans that an organization called Give2TheTroops dispatches tons of gifts to members of the U.S. military as a matter of routine. The Official Chuck Norris Fact BookFounder Andi Grant told WND that while her organization sends treats and gifts year-round, is it during the upcoming Christmas period when soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen sometimes feel the lowest. "They're not seeing Christmas trees. Sometimes they can't even get tinsel or candy canes," she said. But there is a solution, at least to the issue of making sure troops know they are remembered, honored and supported: With the help of Chuck Norris and Tyndale House Publishing, the WND Superstore is offering to arrange to send our military copies of "The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book" by Chuck Norris himself – and you can help. You know Chuck Norris – the actor whose right and left fists are named "Law" and "Order." The man who was rumored to be dispatched by President Bush to secure the nation's southern border alone. Who reportedly has a sign on the front of his house warning thieves, "We don't call 911." Who in real life is an undefeated world martial arts champion and repeatedly has given of his time and talent to support the nation's men and women in uniform. It's as simple as making a purchase, and the gift will be designated for some special man or woman in service overseas and shipped anonymously, courtesy of you. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Question for Nobel Appease Prize winner ~ By Joseph Farah

From WorldNetDaily
Joseph FarahBy Joseph Farah Posted: October 11, 2009 ~ 9:54 pm Eastern © 2009 I have a question for Barack Obama, the Nobel Appease Prize winner, and the man who told us during last year's presidential campaign that troops needed to be redeployed from Iraq to the "real" front in the war on terrorism – Afghanistan. In case your memory fails you, here's what he said in July 2008:
  • "In fact – as should have been apparent to President Bush and Sen. (John) McCain – the central front in the war on terror is not Iraq, and it never was. That's why the second goal of my new strategy will be taking the fight to al-Qaida in Afghanistan and Pakistan."
  • "It is unacceptable that almost seven years after nearly 3,000 Americans were killed on our soil, the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 are still at large. Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahari are recording messages to their followers and plotting more terror. The Taliban controls parts of Afghanistan. Al-Qaida has an expanding base in Pakistan that is probably no farther from their old Afghan sanctuary than a train ride from Washington to Philadelphia. If another attack on our homeland comes, it will likely come from the same region where 9/11 was planned. And yet today, we have five times more troops in Iraq than Afghanistan."
  • "… as president, I will make the fight against al-Qaida and the Taliban the top priority that it should be. This is a war that we have to win."
  • "We need more troops, more helicopters, more satellites, more Predator drones in the Afghan border region. And we must make it clear that if Pakistan cannot or will not act, we will take out high-level terrorist targets like bin Laden if we have them in our sights."
So what happened between then and now? Well, Obama got his wish. He became president. He is now fully in command. He can divert any resources he wishes from Iraq to Afghanistan. He got to appoint a new commander for the Afghan campaign, Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal. And what did Gen. McChrystal advise? He told Obama he needs "more troops, more helicopters, more satellites, more Predator drones in the Afghan border region" – exactly the prescription Obama was calling for more than a year ago during the campaign. Oath Keepers: Orders We Will NOT Obey

Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, peace officers, and veterans who swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic … and meant it.

From OATH KEEPERS: ORDERS WE WILL NOT OBEY:
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people. 2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people 3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal. 4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state. 5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty. 6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps. 7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext. 8. Another Obama sham event ~ By Alan Keyes

You should know what Obama did when he visited the troops on his trip to Iraq! Every day our soldiers prove their fitness for the dangerous but sacred trust they are asked to perform. And every day, Obama gives new cause to doubt both his fitness for the office he dubitably claims, and his allegiance to anything but his own dangerous ambitions. read more | digg story

Unsung Glory; “To quit my post only when properly relieved.”

That is the Marine Corps 5th General Order, “To quit my post only when properly relived”. It means quite simply that a Marine on post does not abandon it, period. On April 22 2008 two Marines on post in Ramadi Iraq demonstrated exactly what that order means when they stood their ground as a suicide VBIED carrying more than 2,000 pounds of explosives bore down on them. Even as Iraqi Police around them fled, Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter, a rifleman with 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, and Cpl. Jonathan T. Yale, a rifleman with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines poured automatic fire into the cab of the truck. The driver was killed, but the “dead mans switch” in his hand detonated the explosives, killing both Marines. Because they refused to run and stood to their post, 33 Marines and 21 Iraqi Police as well as numerous civilians inside the Joint Security Station, an Iraqi Police training facility were saved. And here are some of the wonderful comments about this story from my friends at digg.com:

gbudavid said: A Job Well and Truly done. Thank you and your families for you service and Sacrifice... Semper Fi Fair wind and Following seas. Indyanna said: fta: Haerter’s mother, JoAnn Lyles, her voice breaking, talked of how she had hoped to do something special for his 20th birthday. “We now know that Jordan — Lance Cpl. Jordan C. Haerter — was already a man, a courageous and brave young man.” God bless you, Mrs. Lyles. At 19, your son was more of a man than most. Iccat said: God Bless these men and their families! We are truly a nation Blessed by God to have such young people who without hesitation gave their life to protect their fellow patriots. Contrast their heroic sacrifice for their fellow man with our elitist politician’s willingness to sacrifice the United States and our citizens for their own power and riches. keltin said: Tears are infrequent, but they were there as I read this moving article of bravery and courage. It makes me realize even more the way many of the young people in our country have no concept of patriotism and steadfastness, be it in war or in politics. But a story like this shows me that we do have young men and women who really do know the value of duty, honor and country. The Yale and Haerter families are what is best about our country. blakelylaw580 said: I, too, had to wait until the tears stopped to be able to post this. My husband, career retired military, always tells me that when all hell breaks loose in this country, one of the groups we will be able to count on to do the right thing is the military; this type of story makes me believe that might actually happen. My only negative comment - this happened a year ago; how come we've never heard this before. And yes, that is a rhetorical question.

Survive, Evade, Resist, Escape - Surviving capture

Those who serve in our nation's military espouse values that confuse the left, confound their purpose, and leave them unable to understand, much less resonate with our service men and women. This week I saw why. Those in military service know it as S.E.R.E. God Bless you, Soldier, Sailor, Airman and Marine. Merry Christmas! read more of this great story by Kevin McCullough | digg story, submitted by NYCnative
