No, we can't just get along ~ By Barbara Simpson

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Barbara Simpson By Barbara Simpson Posted: February 01, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 What on Earth was that last Wednesday night? Who was that man on the podium? Was it the president of the United States or "Big Daddy" who's mightily ticked with his family and pretty much everyone else? You had the eyes of world media glued to Washington. You had senators, congressmen, Supreme Court justices, top military, staffers, guests and friends – all in one room to hear one person speak to them and to American citizens. In fact, the citizens are the real audience of this event. They elected the president, and it's the time when he's supposed to bring everyone up to date on the administration's progress. Technically, it was the State of the Union address by the president. It's a constitutionally required task for the person in the Oval Office, and there's no doubt it's a big deal! For any president, it's a time in the spotlight when his performance is there for all to see. The idea is that the audience is supposed to hear from the man what was done, why, how it worked, where we are now and what's in store for the next year. It's the mother of all progress reports, and under normal circumstances that's what we'd get. Not this time! These are not normal circumstances. This time what we got was different. Actually, it was more than different, partially because this country faces enormous crises but also because of the person who is president. Regardless of what was said, how long it took to say it, whether it was controversial, accurate or even true, this time it was not so much a speech. It was a lecture by an irritated and angry "Big Daddy." It's clear that Barack Obama was – and probably, still is – mightily ticked with what's happened to his grand plans for transforming the United States. He was elected to the strains of "God Save the King," and he believed every word of it. He was lauded as the one who could do no wrong, could do anything and everything, and would change things for the better for everyone. He was short on details, but his overarching plans sounded just great. People were so enamored with his "blackness" that they neglected to hold his plans to a real test during the campaign. The attitude seemed to be, if Barack said it, it was OK because he could do no wrong. READ FULL STORY >

China warns Obama deficit spending must stop

From WorldNetDaily
Beijing reluctant to keep bankrolling president's belt-buster budget Jerome R. Corsi By Jerome R. Corsi Posted: December 19, 2009 ~ 11:30 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily One day after the Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao snubbed President Obama at the United Nation's Copenhagen Climate Summit, the Chinese warned the United States that China's ability to continue buying U.S. Treasury debt was limited. Zhu Min, the deputy governor of the People's Republic of China, told the Shanghai Daily that it is getting harder for the People's Bank of China to buy U.S. Treasuries because the shrinking U.S. current account is reducing the supplies overseas. This was dire news for the Obama administration that in 2010 and for the foreseeable future will be dependent on China to buy U.S. Treasury debt in order to fund the trillion-dollar federal budget deficits projected over the next decade. The Shanghai Daily reported that Zhu told an academic audience that it was inevitable the value of the dollar would fall in value given the increasing reliance of the Obama administration on issuing U.S. Treasury debt to finance deficit spending. "The United States cannot force foreign governments to increase their holdings of Treasuries," Zhu said. "Double the holdings? It is definitely impossible." Zhu's warning was clear. "The world does not have so much money to buy more U.S. Treasuries," he said. READ FULL STORY >

End of free press? ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Joseph FarahBy Joseph Farah Posted: December 19, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Will globalism spell the end of free speech and freedom of the press? I wrote a book a few years ago called "Stop the Presses! The Inside Story of the New Media Revolution." In researching a chapter on the history of the free press, I was surprised to learn just how short and spotty that history is. In fact, it would be accurate to say freedom of press as we know it today was birthed in colonial America and enshrined as a natural "right" for the first time in the Constitution of the United States. That means the very concept is a little over 230 years old – the blink of an eye historically speaking. Further, freedom of the press is still little regarded by most of the world. It might even be more accurate to state that it is viewed as a threat to most authoritarian and totalitarian regimes – perhaps the biggest threat next to private ownership of firearms. With this background in mind, consider the banning of WND's access to and coverage of the U.N.'s Copenhagen climate convention over the last two weeks. So far as I can tell, WND was the only legitimate news agency banned by the U.N. convention – and banned on provably erroneous grounds that were merely a pretext for denying the one press outlet that has been skeptical of the hysterical claims about manmade, catastrophic global warming. This is the same United Nations that provides free and open access to the Nation of Islam and Hamas – even providing free office space to Louis Farrakhan's hate-mongering and fear-mongering racist newspaper, the Final Call. Do you get the picture? Think about this. Take it in. Consider what it portends for your future. READ FULL STORY >

U.N. won't reveal who was accredited at Copenhagen

From WorldNetDaily
'We can only provide the number [of journalists] in attendance' By Stewart Stogel Posted: December 19, 2009 ~ 12:45 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily UNITED NATIONS – As the U.N. Climate Summit closed in Copenhagen amidst confusion and political controversy, just how press access was administered continues to be a source of debate, both in Denmark and at headquarters in New York City. WND, whose credential request to cover the Copenhagen summit was erroneously rejected by U.N. officials, repeatedly requested a list of who received accreditation and who was rejected. After waiting almost a week, the U.N. provided only the number of journalists in attendance but no more. "It is not U.N. policy to release names of organizations, nor those (applications) that were rejected," said Isabelle Broyer, director of the U.N.'s Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit in New York. Broyer said 3,839 journalists covered the Copenhagen summit. Even diplomats at the U.N. expressed disappointment on how the world body fumbled the ball in Denmark. "The Danish authorities did not properly prepare. ... I am hearing from friends (in Copenhagen) about price gouging, especially at the hotels. It is incredible. Many had to stay outside Copenhagen, it was so expensive," said a senior diplomat who requested confidentiality. The New York Times reported that on numerous occasions, accredited diplomats were turned away at the summit's conference hall inside the Bella Center because of police attempts at riot control. WND founder Joseph Farah has expressed his concern over the U.N.'s actions and intends to address them in person in the near future. READ FULL STORY >

Copenhagen all about 'American money'

From WorldNetDaily
Former congressman: Obama still could make many happy By Bob Unruh Posted: December 19, 2009 ~ 12:50 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily A former Texas congressman whose work included efforts to clamp down on America's borders, free up gun purchases and protect human life contends the massive conference in Copenhagen had little to do with global warming and everything to do with doling out American money. Steve Stockman, who was in the Danish capital for the two-week event, told WND in an interview from the conference, "We're over here trying to dissuade any kind of agreement that would give away American sovereignty, which is what it's all about." He said members of the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow boarded a Greenpeace ship in the harbor to unfurl a banner announcing it was a "Ship of lies." He also addressed events sponsored by CFACT at the Copenhagen summit. He told WND conference participants appeared to have one issue on their agenda: obtaining promises of American money for themselves. "It was about transferring the wealth of taxpayers," he said, noting Obama doesn't actually need any sort of international "treaty" to do that. He cited the $250 million the World Bank, of which the U.S. is a major supporter, agreed to grant North Vietnam to cut carbon dioxide. "I didn't know Vietnam had the ability to generate much carbon dioxide," he told WND. But he noted from his perspective the conference's disintegration appeared to stem from the fact "America hasn't ponied up enough money." "This has nothing to do with science," he said. "We've talked to [protesters.] They don't know anything about climate change." READ FULL STORY >

When Reds go green ~ By Jerome Corsi

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Jerome Corsi By Jerome Corsi Posted: December 18, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Divisions between the advanced countries and the Third World developing countries at the Copenhagen Climate Summit are revealing an underlying agenda to redistribute wealth globally that gives impetus for the United Nations goal to impose a cap-and-trade tax on the United States and Europe, for the benefit of China, India and the rest of the developed world. "Save the planet, scrap capitalism," a protester in Copenhagen at a socialist and communist protest, highlighted by red communist flags displaying the hammer and sickle of the former Soviet Union, told a reporter from the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, or CFACT. (See video at the bottom of this column) The U.N. Climate Summit in Copenhagen this week increasingly appeared to be on the verge of collapsing as the United States engaged in increasingly bitter exchanges with China and India, while the African Nations walked out. The crux of the issue is that the developing world, led by China and India, want the developed world, led by the United States and Europe, to pay to developing nations hundreds of billions of dollars in what amount to reparations for emitting carbon. Meanwhile, China has overtaken the United States as the world's largest producer of carbon dioxide, while China's foreign-exchange reserves grew to $2.27 trillion at the end of September, a dramatic 700 percent increase in the last five years, largely as a result of the U.S. large and growing negative balance of trade with China. To fully comprehend the extent of disregard China, in its push to produce cheap goods, has for the environment, view a series of shocking photographs of Chinese pollution taken by Lu Guang from the People's Republic of China, the winner of the 2009 W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography for his documentary project "Pollution in China." Basically, the United Nations and leftist-oriented climate alarmists want to produce a two-tier global carbon-tax system in which manufacturing will be punished for remaining in the United States and the European Union and rewarded for relocating to an emerging economy such as China or India. What motivates enviro alarmists? ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Joseph Farah By Joseph Farah Posted: December 12, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 I'm beginning to believe very few of the environmental alarmists actually believe what they say. I suspect their motivations are not "saving the planet," but something else entirely. This isn't true only of those in Copenhagen this week, claiming now we only have "weeks" to reverse cataclysmic climate change. It's true of all environmental chicken littles. Let's examine a much smaller example to put this in perspective. Way back in the 1970s, when no one had yet dreamed up the possibility of catastrophic, manmade "global warming," the big threat in environmental circles was PCBs or polychlorinated biphenyls. These chemicals were widely used for three decades in electrical equipment because of their insulating properties until Renate Kimbrough of the Centers for Disease Control decided to feed massive quantities of PCBs to lab rats and found they caused liver cancer. Not long afterward, in 1976, Congress banned the use of PCBs. Almost 25 years later, Kimbrough revisited the subject in a peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and found no link between PCBs and human health problems. That study, by the way, focused on more than 7,000 people who worked from 1946 to 1977 in GE power plants on the Hudson River – plants that dumped massive amounts of PCBs into the river. Even though PCB levels in the Hudson were dropping every year as nature took its course, and despite the new study by Kimbrough, the Clinton administration decided to invest in a major dredging operation of the river. The Bush administration later green-lighted the project at an estimated cost of $460 million. All along the way, critics explained the worst possible thing you could do if the goal was to reduce PCB levels in the Hudson was to dredge. They said dredging would actually raise the levels of PCBs in the river. Scheduled to begin in 2003 or 2004, the project finally got under way last spring – with a new price tag of $780 million. Would you like to guess the results? READ FULL STORY>>

Copenhagen’s political science ~ By Sarah Palin

From Sarah Palin's Notes (Facebook page)
Copenhagen’s political science The Washington Post Op-ed and Response to Climate Change and Gravity By Sarah Palin Wednesday, December 9, 2009 With the publication of damaging e-mails from a climate research center in Britain, the radical environmental movement appears to face a tipping point. The revelation of appalling actions by so-called climate change experts allows the American public to finally understand the concerns so many of us have articulated on this issue. “Climate-gate,” as the e-mails and other documents from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia have become known, exposes a highly politicized scientific circle -- the same circle whose work underlies efforts at the Copenhagen climate change conference. The agenda-driven policies being pushed in Copenhagen won’t change the weather, but they would change our economy for the worse. The e-mails reveal that leading climate “experts” deliberately destroyed records, manipulated data to “hide the decline” in global temperatures, and tried to silence their critics by preventing them from publishing in peer-reviewed journals. What’s more, the documents show that there was no real consensus even within the CRU crowd. Some scientists had strong doubts about the accuracy of estimates of temperatures from centuries ago, estimates used to back claims that more recent temperatures are rising at an alarming rate. This scandal obviously calls into question the proposals being pushed in Copenhagen. I’ve always believed that policy should be based on sound science, not politics. As governor of Alaska, I took a stand against politicized science when I sued the federal government over its decision to list the polar bear as an endangered species despite the fact that the polar bear population had more than doubled. I got clobbered for my actions by radical environmentalists nationwide, but I stood by my view that adding a healthy species to the endangered list under the guise of “climate change impacts” was an abuse of the Endangered Species Act. This would have irreversibly hurt both Alaska’s economy and the nation’s, while also reducing opportunities for responsible development. READ FULL STORY>>

War on 2 fronts! U.N. and Muslim Mafia

From WorldNetDaily
WND battles double-barreled threats to American sovereignty Posted: December 09, 2009 ~ 11:11 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily Two of the biggest threats to America – the unprecedented global power grab currently under way in Copenhagen under the pretext of "global warming," and the ongoing infiltration and subversion of American government by dangerous Islamist radicals – are the focus of major legal challenges by WorldNetDaily. "The outcome of these two legal battles will affect the lives of every one of our readers," said WND's CEO Joseph Farah. "For that reason, we are urging our loyal readers to jump into the fight by helping us right now." (The following excerpts are from the two battles written about in this column:) Battle No. 1: Muslim Mafia The first fight is against the notorious, terror-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations. It's having fits over WND Books' audacious best seller "Muslim Mafia," which used 12,000 pages of internal documents to shred CAIR's mild-mannered, moderate, mainstream façade and to expose its treacherous Islamist agenda for all to see. (Congressmen right now are calling for multiple federal investigations of the organization, their demands instigated by the release of "Muslim Mafia" whose foreword was written by Rep. Sue Myrick, founder of the Congressional Anti-Terror Caucus.) In other words, CAIR is in serious trouble – and that's very good news for America. After all, CAIR is known by the U.S. government to be a Saudi-funded, terrorist-front group, whose terror connections caused the FBI earlier this year to cut off ties with the organization. The Justice Department has likewise branded CAIR an "unindicted co-conspirator" in the largest terror-funding trial in U.S. history for funding terrorist groups like Hamas. ... Battle No. 2: United Nations The other fight is WND's pending legal challenge to the United Nations. The U.N. is the prime mover behind the controversial – many Americans now say fraudulent and scandalous – "climate change" mega-conference in Copenhagen meant to rapidly advance global governance and bring about a massive transfer of Americans' hard-earned money to foreign nations. To make sure the global power grab goes forward with minimum static, the U.N. is also taking a page out of the Obama White House playbook in claiming one major news organization is "illegitimate" – and therefore denying it press credentials to cover the Copenhagen event and inform its vast readership of what transpires behind closed doors there. WND, the largest independent English-language Internet news source in the world, applied for press credentials to the Copenhagen event weeks ago, to be represented by senior staff writer Jerome Corsi, an expert on energy and politics and the author of two No. 1 New York Times nonfiction best sellers. He was flat-out denied. ... READ FULL STORY>>

Call it Carbonhagen ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Joseph Farah By Joseph Farah Posted: December 10, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Sometimes it's difficult to accuse liberals of hypocrisy because they don't believe in standards – or, at least, the standards are always changing. But not so with the climate alarmists like those meeting in Copenhagen this week. There they are – the elite of the world – making pronouncements about the way the rest of us have to live in the future: No big cars and trucks. No more power plants. No more refineries. It will be a future of windmills and solar panels as far as the eye can see. Somehow people will make their money trading carbon credits and in illusory "green jobs." In matters of man-made, catastrophic climate change, they have set the standards. But is that how they live? Not by the looks of what we see in Copenhagen – or is it Carbonhagen? The London Telegraph reports at least 1,200 limousines have been booked for the occasion – only five of them electric or hybrids vehicles. There aren't enough limos in all of Denmark to meet the demand. They are coming in from Germany and Sweden – driven hundreds of miles for the convenience of the international cartel of carbon cops. But that's not all. The airport is expecting the arrival of 140 additional private jets during the peak period of the global climate change convention. There's not enough room for them all to park in Copenhagen, so they will have to be flown to Sweden and then fly back for return flights. Nobody is walking. Nobody is riding a bicycle. Nobody is living the lifestyle they insist on compelling us to live. All told, the Telegraph reports, the 11-day convention will create a total of 41,000 tons of carbon dioxide – equal to the amount produced by a major city in the same time period. In other words, they're not going to allow their grave concerns for the planet affect their own comfort – not even for a few days, not even for show. READ FULL STORY>>

We've been had ~ By Walter E. Williams

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Walter E. Williams By Walter E. Williams Posted: December 09, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Last year, my column "Global warming rope-a-dope" (Dec. 24, 2008) started out: "Americans have been rope-a-doped into believing that global warming is going to destroy the planet. Scientists who have been skeptical about manmade global warming have been called traitors or handmaidens of big oil." New evidence proves that climatologists and environmental-policy advocates have not only fed us lies and engaged in scientific and academic fraud, but committed criminal acts as well. Last month, Russian computer hackers obtained thousands of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in England. CRU has the world's largest temperature data set. In collaboration with scientists around the world, including the U.S., its research and mathematical models form the basis of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's 2007 global-warming report. The e-mails involved communication among climate researchers and policy advocates around the world who brazenly discuss both the destruction and hiding of data that does not support their global-warming claims. They discuss criminally deleting data rather than comply with Freedom of Information Act requests. There's also discussion of faking data for journals such as Nature, conspiring to keep opposing science out of peer-reviewed journals (which they controlled the editorial boards), and using statistical "tricks" to hide the cooling period of the last 10 years. One e-mail said, "The fact is we can't account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can't." Another said, "It would be nice to try to 'contain' the putative 'MWP,' even if we don't yet have a hemispheric mean reconstruction available that far back." MWP refers to the Medieval Warm Period (800 A.D. to 1300 A.D.) when the Earth was much warmer than it is now. This bothers the global warmers because they can't blame the temperature increase a thousand years ago on SUVs, coal-burning power plants, incandescent bulbs and 60-inch TV screens. READ FULL STORY >

Chestnuts roasting on a Copenhagen fire ~ By Chuck Norris

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Chuck Norris By Chuck Norris Posted: December 07, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Copenhagen is on fire this week, and there's far more heating up than just the climate. While heads of state and others gather this week at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen (Dec. 7-18), bonfires have already been blazing for weeks on that European front. Let me see if I can summarize the chestnuts roasting on that Copenhagen fire. Shocking e-mail exchanges from scientists at an eminent global-warming research center in the United Kingdom have proven that key climate-change scientists have suppressed evidence to "trick" or "hide the decline" of global temperatures. Rather than focus on the audacity of the climate-gate cover up, Obama's top science adviser, John Holdren, downplayed the e-mails, telling Congress that the controversy involved a small group of scientists. And others like Sen. Barbara Boxer blamed the hackers who exposed the e-mails rather than the scientists who deceived the world with false global climate reports. Similarly, the U.N. was caught recently deleting documents that would disclose how member states are leading (or not leading) the way in self-greening efforts. The scientific journal Geophysical Research Letters documented that ice melt on Antarctica was the lowest in 30 years during the 2008-2009, a fact being intentionally ignored by NASA. A U.S. scholar is threatening to sue NASA (see video I have included at the bottom of this column) to prompt the agency to release climate-change data, which he says has been manipulated just like over in Britain. Officials in the Environmental Protection Agency gagged one of their own senior researchers after the 38-year employee submitted an internal critique of the EPA's climate change position. Unlike the U.S., China and India have already opposed foreign climate governance because it would jeopardize their national sovereignty. Nearly two months ago Lord Christopher Monckton, once science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, warned us that the real purpose of the conference was more about global government than global warming. In my former column, titled "Obama's one-world government," I've already detailed more than a dozen actual statements in the proposed summit treaty that threatens our national sovereignty, could severely cripple our already depressed economy and are so globally socialistic that they would make even a communist blush. Confusion of the Copenhagen faithful ~ By Henry Lamb

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Henry Lamb By Henry Lamb Posted: December 05, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 More than 14,000 people have pre-registered to attend the shindig in Copenhagen next week, none of whom are delegates. The facility, which accommodates only 15,000 people, will be overrun by special-interest groups, all clamoring for attention and a piece of the $94 billion pie that is divided annually among the global-warming congregation. The number of delegates that attend these meetings usually reaches 4,000, and the press adds another thousand or so. The conference is an economic boon to the host city, an opportunity to party for the attendees – and a potential disaster for everyone else in the world. The Copenhagen meeting is the 15th official meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention on Climate Change. This is the annual "biggie"; delegates and special-interest groups meet four or more times each year, each meeting drawing 5,000 to 10,000 people. The U.N. actually pays a per diem to the majority of the delegates; expenses for most of the special-interest groups come from grants from various governments, or from major foundations. The U.N. works hard to see that a good time is had by all; they screen attendees tighter than the Secret Service screens state dinners at the White House. WorldNetDaily, for example, is not allowed to attend; they may report something that the U.N. does not want reported. The press that is allowed to attend may not film or record the meetings. They may not even carry their equipment into the area where the meetings are held without an official U.N. "minder" with them. Everyone is free to photograph and record in the public areas such as the restaurants and the exhibit area. READ FULL STORY >

U.N. stands on plan to shut down reporters

From WorldNetDaily
Controversial 'global warming' Copenhagen conference looms By Bob Unruh Posted: December 04, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily The media coordinator for the United Nations' global warming summit in Copenhagen said today he is standing on his decision not to allow a WND senior reporter to cover the event, which has been described as a key step in the founding of a one-world government. "Everything we had to say was said in the [e-mail] text," Axel Wuestenhagen, reached on his cell phone as he was preparing for the event, told WND. "I'm not commenting on the text. That was the agreement reached. … I think I'll have to stick to that." WND had requested permission for Jerome Corsi, a senior staff writer who previously has been accredited for coverage of the U.N. and is a two-time No. 1 New York Times best-selling author, to cover the event. Wuestenhagen initially said the request was delayed because of a flood of applications. He later confirmed to WND's legal counsel, Gary Kreep, that WND, "as a for-profit subsidiary of the nonprofit Western Journalism Center," did not qualify. "Having now reviewed the application and in consultation with the Media and Accreditation Unit in New York, regrettably, we are not in a position to grant accreditation in this instance," he wrote. "As a for-profit subsidiary of the nonprofit Western Journalism Center, we follow the U.N. guidelines on accreditation which specifies that advocacy publications of nongovernmental or nonprofit organizations do not qualify for media accreditation. Please note that the organization is under no obligation to accept your request if it does not meet U.N. standards and requirements for press accreditation." READ FULL STORY >

GLOBAL COVER-UP! ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Joseph Farah By Joseph Farah Posted: December 04, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 The U.N. convention of climate change begins Monday in Copenhagen with what organizers sought all along – "consensus" and press coverage that doesn't ask tough questions or report skeptically. Welcome to the New World Order – where life-changing, world-altering decisions are made behind closed doors by unaccountable elites free of the worries of opposition and debate. The largest independent English-language Internet news organization in the world – WND – has been denied credentials to cover the event, and the world's state-directed media outlets have failed to notice. If you had any questions about the status of the free press in the future global government, the answer has been delivered. There won't be any. Only government-approved press will have access to the deliberations of the unaccountable big brothers meeting in Copenhagen and future conclaves. Whether or not my colleagues in the press care about the exclusion of WND, I will carry on the fight for free press rights – no matter how long it takes, no matter what the cost. And I enlist your help to take on the United Nations. I believe this fight could be as important in exposing the coming tyranny of any future global government as was the "Climategate" e-mail scandal in exposing the hoax of "global warming." How can you help? I seek your prayers and your contributions to WND's legal defense fund – now battling on multiple fronts for the First Amendment. America's founders understood and stated it clearly: A free society cannot remain free without a truly independent and vibrant free press. READ FULL STORY >

Yes, I do believe in conspiracies ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Joseph Farah By Joseph Farah Posted: December 03, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 I am sometimes accused of believing in and promoting "conspiracy theories." To this charge, I must plead guilty. For a long time, I have warned of a massive conspiracy to persuade the American public, in fact the population of the entire world, that life as we know it is threatened by a phantom crisis. This conspiracy is so massive and bold it seeks literally to usher in a new age of global governance, even though there is no evidence to support the claims behind the imminent threat to the planet. Nevertheless, most of the news media, most government institutions, most politicians of both parties, nearly all schools and universities – even most corporations – promote this conspiracy. And, later this month, a United Nations global convention in Copenhagen aims to build upon the work of this conspiracy in the hopes of promoting unaccountable global governance – turning people in formerly free countries like the United States into little more than serfs far removed from their masters. I speak, of course, of the widespread conspiracy and increasingly obvious fraud known as man-made, catastrophic climate change. For years, we have been told that "scientists" have a reached a broad consensus that man's activity on the planet, particularly through the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, is causing "global warming." Fight U.N. censorship in Copenhagen ~ By Joseph Farah

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Joseph Farah By Joseph Farah Posted: December 02, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 It's bad enough the United Nations is blessing the sham of man-made, catastrophic climate change in Copenhagen next week at a convention billed as a major step forward for global governance. But now we know the U.N. will try to have its cake and eat it, too, by denying press credentials to news agencies like WND that have reported skeptically on the "global warming" charade. WND, the largest independent English-language Internet news source in the world, applied for press credentials to the Copenhagen shindig weeks ago. WND was to be represented by senior staff writer Jerome Corsi, an expert on energy and politics and the author of two No. 1 New York Times best-selling works of nonfiction. With no word from Copenhagen, WND began shaking the tree of Axel Wuestenhagen, media coordinator for the event, even threatening legal action if the credentials were not immediately forthcoming. He sent apologies a week ago, blaming the delay on a backlog of requests. Then, on Monday, the other shoe dropped. Wuestenhagen wrote to WND's legal counsel explaining that WND would be excluded from covering the convention. He made the decision, he admitted, after consulting with U.N. officials in New York. Please note that the organization is under no obligation to accept your request if it does not meet U.N. standards and requirements for press accreditation." A nice try. It was the same bogus argument made years earlier when the Senate Press Gallery in Washington denied WND credentials to cover the Capitol – a decision later reversed when WND threatened to sue everybody involved for abridging First Amendment rights. Climategate? What Climategate? ~ By Barry Farber

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Barry Farber By Barry Farber Posted: December 02, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Remember the 3-year-old girl who won our hearts during the Vietnam War when she asked her father, "What if they gave a war and nobody came?" She's now old enough to ask, "What if they gave the biggest scandal in the whole history of science and no major TV network reported it for a week – and then mostly to try to downplay it?" And remember the emperor who had no clothes? If his fraudulent weavers were as smart as the "Pay-Us-To-Save-You-From-Global-Warming" mob, they'd have wrapped some real cloth, not their expensive imaginary kind, around the mouth of that kid who ruined their scam by shouting, "The emperor has no clothes!" The major media have lost their power to cover up "Climategate." There's too much minor media today. Chances are you've already heard about the hacking of what amounts to 63 megabytes' worth of material, over a thousand e-mails and other documents, from the Climatic Research Unit at England's University of East Anglia. That heist was then pitched out to a Russian server that instantaneously alerted the whole world. That's got to be Russia's greatest contribution to mankind since their monumental contributions to the destruction of the late Adolf Hitler. The side that gains money, prestige and power by convincing us that humans are overheating the planet says there's nothing but a bunch of yawns in that whole haul and the real story is the criminal theft of other people's mail. The side that says there's no way humans can cause global warming and the whole madness is a power-and-money grab says this is the smoking gun – or rather the mushroom cloud – signaling the end of the rip-off. As President Obama once famously said, "Let's not jump to conclusions." I agree. It's too much fun watching global warming's feathers plucked plume by plume. READ FULL STORY >

Sane, scientific facts about global warming ~ By Pat Boone

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Pat Boone By Pat Boone Posted: November 28, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily In just days from now, our president will be in Copenhagen with a large group of influential people from around the world, discussing what immediate and long-term measures must be taken to prevent our globe from frying like an egg on a hot sidewalk. That last part is an exaggeration, of course, but the attitude among most of the attendees seems too similar to the fairy tale about Chicken Little, who ran around the barnyard screaming "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" Former Vice President Al Gore has spent some eight years roaming the world with a message just about as dire, and was handed a Nobel Prize for his efforts. Now Bloomberg reports that Mr. Gore has seen his net worth soar from $2 million when he left office to more than $100 million now. He stands to personally make billions if "cap and trade" passes, because of his stake in the newly created agency that will lay billions of penalties on entities that produce more carbon emissions than the agency deems allowable. If this happens, it will make America's fabled "robber barons" from another era look like neighborhood kids with a lemonade stand. What makes this James Bond or Michael Crichton story so fascinating is that a growing majority of the world's scientists are loudly proclaiming, "The sky is not falling!" The world is not frying in CO2! It’s actually cooling, and has been for some time! READ FULL STORY >

Climate Fear Promoters Greatest Fear: 'The Truth' ~ By Marc Morano

From NewsWithViewsc.com
Marc Morano By Marc Morano August 27, 2009 'Series of inconvenient developments for promoters [of] global warming fears continues unabated' The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has shocked the global warming debate by its formal call to hold a public global warming trial to decide on the “evidence” that mankind is driving a climate catastrophe. The Chamber seeks to have a complete trial “complete with witnesses, cross-examinations and a judge who would rule, essentially, on whether humans are warming the planet to dangerous effect.” Some are referring to the potential for a global warming trial as the “U.S. Chamber of Commerce wanting to put AGW (anthropogenic global warming) creationism on trial.” Brenda Ekwurzel of the environmental group Union of Concerned Scientists, is discouraging the idea of a trial. This is the same Ekwurzel who claimed global warming made it “less cool” this summer. See: Climate Fear Promoters Try to Spin Record Cold and Snow: 'Global warming made it less cool' – July 27, 2009 More significantly, it is the same Ekwurzel who badly lost a public debate over man-made climate fears in 2007. See: Scientific Smackdown: Skeptics Voted The Clear Winners Against Global Warming Believers in Heated NYC Debate – March 16, 2007 & see: Climate Fear Promoters Avoid Debates and Lose When They Engage in Them No wonder the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has called for a full trial on global warming claims. Desperation time has arrived for the promoters of man-made global warming fears, as the science of man-made climate fears continues to collapse. In 2009, a series of inconvenient developments for the promoters of man-made global warming fears continues unabated. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]
