Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing for Tuesday, Mar 6, 2012

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I coined the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

Please excuse me if I don't blush when I gush about this great edition of the Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing, for it is an excellent representation of the main theme of the stories and columns featured below.  (And, remember, it is Super Tuesday.... Very fitting!)

When our highly esteemed colleague and patriot Andrew Breitbart suddenly passed away, it was definitely a shock for many of us that knew him or were aware of his work. As Joseph Farah states, when somebody that is only 43 years of age with a wife and four children suddenly passes, "It’s just not right."

The total weirdness of the sudden, unexpected death of such a luminary that has found and brandished the weapon of mass destruction - the truth - against the colossal corruption going on in our society and politics seems to be a lot more than some people want to deal with. As Barbara Simpson writes, "Despite speculation there might have been foul play because of his new investigation of Barack Obama’s college days – which is not out of the realm of possibility...", the truth is, we still have the sorrow and grief for his family to deal with.

But sure enough, there are those out there that believe that Andrew's death was caused by the dark forces of evil wishing to prevent more revelations from becoming public. And though that is a topic that will be debated for many years, that isn't really what this particular post is about. (But don't worry, I did make sure that Alex Jones gets his two cents included below.)

Not taking away anything from the conspiracy theorists - and they may have a point - the real reason for me to focus on Andrew Breitbart today is to honor him by recognizing his leadership in the field of "citizen journalists," most of whom will never earn a nickel for doing what we do. The whole thing to remember is that there will not be just a 1,000 citizen journalists who will continue to fight for our freedom in our own ways, with the abilities that are God-given, but probably somewhere in the millions of us will carry on. That would fill up a lot of detention facilities (i.e., re-education camps)!

"They" may be able to take out one hero like Andrew Breitbart, if that is the case, but the pulse of those that desire to stay free will never, ever cease. The citizen journalists can't be silenced without a total purge. As I wrote on my facebook status one day: "Let me be perfectly clear: They will have to pry my grasp of Freedom from my cold, dead hands." Andrew Breitbart never ceased to keep trying to help us keep our liberty that our forefathers fought for. I'm just sayin'...

Breitbart legacy lives on in relaunched websites, final column
Via InfoWars.com: Breitbart’s Final Column Was Part of ‘Vetting Obama’ Series
From The Daily Caller ~ By Matthew Boyle ~ Published: 12:00 AM 03/05/2012

The late media mogul Andrew Breitbart’s final column was released Sunday night on a newly redesigned website that includes all of his “Big” sites under a single umbrella.

The column, which examines Obama’s admiration for radical community organizer Saul Alinsky, is titled “The Vetting, Part 1: Obama’s Love Song to Alinsky.”

Andrew Breitbart
Breitbart had planned the “Vetting” Obama series before his sudden death last Thursday at age 43. He announced the project during a speech at February’s Conservative Political Action Conference.

Breitbart said he didn’t believe the mainstream media did its job properly investigating President Obama’s past during the 2008 election and he would do the job the media failed to do this time around.

“I’ve got videos — this election we’re going to vet him,” he said in his CPAC speech, adding that “racial division and class warfare were central” to Obama’s 2008 “hope and change” slogans.

In his final column, Breitbart explored Obama’s decision in 1998 as a Illinois state senator to participate in a panel discussion after the performance of a new play celebrating the life of Alinsky.

Here is an excerpt from the introduction to Andrew's last column, "The Vetting, Part I: Barack's Love Song To Alinsky."
Prior to his passing, Andrew Breitbart said that the mission of the Breitbart empire was to exemplify the free and fearless press that our Constitution protects--but which, increasingly, the mainstream media denies us.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?” – “Who guards the guardians?” Andrew saw himself in that role—as a guardian protecting Americans from the left’s “objective” loyal scribes.

Andrew wanted to do what the mainstream media would not. First and foremost: Andrew pledged to vet President Barack H. Obama.

Breitbart: “Wait ‘Til They See What Happens March 1st”
Breitbart died hours before planned release of damning Obama footage
From InfoWars.com ~ By Paul Joseph Watson ~ Posted Friday, March 2, 2012

In a stunning coincidence, It appears Andrew Breitbart suffered his untimely death just hours before he was set to release damning video footage that could have sunk Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign.

Andrew Breitbart
Around three weeks ago on February 9 during the ‘Blog Bash’ event in Washington DC, Breitbart made a prophetic comment that takes on a somewhat chilling nature given the fact that he died in the early hours of March 1st.

Speaking to Lawrence Sinclair of Sinclair News, Breitbart stated, “Wait til they see what happens March 1st.”

It’s almost certain that Breitbart was referring to his plan to release damning footage of President Obama that he had been promising to reveal throughout the month of February.

As we reported yesterday, Breitbart spoke of his intention to release the tape during his CPAC speech last month. The footage shows Obama in his college days appearing alongside former Weather Underground terrorists Bill and Bernardine Dohrn. Observers had speculated that the footage could have derailed Obama’s hopes for a second term.

The fearlessness of Andrew Breitbart has spread throughout the new media. This investigative story by The Daily Caller exemplifies the fact that " ... when someone of Breitbart's magnitude passes, there are another 1,000 people that will continue where somebody like Andrew left off.":

Secretive nationwide network gives SEIU new organizing muscle
Via THEBLAZE ~ From The Daily Caller ~ By Richard Pollock ~ Published: 2:14 AM 03/05/2012

This is the first in a Daily Caller investigative series.

The politically aggressive Service Employees International Union (SEIU) has quietly created a national network of at least eight community-organizing groups, some of which function alongside the Occupy Wall Street movement, a Daily Caller investigation shows.

Incorporated by the SEIU as local non-profits, the groups are waging concerted local political campaigns to publicly attack conservative political figures, banks, energy companies and other corporations.

Each local group has portrayed itself as an independent community organization not tied to any special interest. But they were founded, incorporated, and led by SEIU personnel.

The individual activist groups use benign-sounding names including This Is Our DC; Good Jobs, Great Houston; Good Jobs, Better Baltimore; Good Jobs Now in Detroit; Fight for Philly; One Pittsburgh; Good Jobs LA; and Minnesotans for a Fair Economy.

In reality, they are creations of the wealthy and influential labor union, amounting to a secret network of new SEIU front groups.

COMMENTARY

I will start the conversation with the commentary regarding Andrew Breitbart by relating to you what I wrote within a couple hours after hearing the news and knowing it was confirmed:

Time 2 Escape WIFLI Special Edition: Andrew Breitbart dead at 43
From Blogging In Our Time 2 Escape ~ Posted Thursday, March 01, 2012, 11:18 A.M.

~ A Time 2 Escape WIFLI SPECIAL EDITION ~

ANDREW BREITBART
A very short time ago, when the story first broke on Fox News and then on Glenn Beck's radio show, I found out that Andrew Breitbart had passed away early today (or late yesterday?) from "natural causes."

It was a very big shock. I had just woke up from a very much needed power nap here in my office (darn, missed about 20 minutes of Glenn Beck's show!) when the story broke on Fox News, and so I pinched myself to make sure it wasn't just a dream, or a terrible nightmare. Very unfortunately, I was wide awake, and it really did happen.

The news hit me very hard. The things that Andrew had worked on in the last few years were fearless. He was a courageous patriot that exposed the corruption in government. Andrew understood that Americans needed to know what is really going on. He exposed ACORN back in 2009, with the help of undercover videographers James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles.

The fearlessness and courage of the man and his associates is matched by very few.

Back in the day before the WIFLI editions, I used to write about various commentaries by other patriots, one being Victoria Jackson that often received my accolades. This story was very fitting for this issue concerning Andrew Breitbart's influence on the New Media. My excerpt from this commentary will be from the introduction that I had written:

I know Andrew Breitbart! ~ By Victoria Jackson
From Blogging In Our Time 2 Escape ~ Posted Monday, April 25, 2011, 10:04 A.M.

I was finally able to read Victoria's column from last Friday morning. I'm a little behind on my reading. There is no shortage of brilliant columns to immerse ourselves in. Great media is coming at us 24/7/365 (366 next year!). And now with twitter and facebook and text messages telling us what our friends are reading or watching, there really is an infinite number of ways to entertain - excuse me, I mean educate - ourselves. Things just keep getting more hectic! But I am glad that I finally got to read Victoria's column. I learned a few things.

You will understand the gravity of the second paragraph of the excerpt above once you read down further. But first, make sure that you play the video below where Andrew Breitbart explains the citizen journalist movement to Sean Hannity:

~ Video provided by Fox News ~

It is all about CITIZEN JOURNALISM! I emphasize that point, because that is what this column is really about... for me. Sure, the actual theme of the column is that liberals can turn Conservative. Victoria and Andrew had once believed that they were liberals. They had at one time bought into the liberal lies... I mean ideologies. They became Conservatives. Don't forget, Ronald Reagan did the same thing.

Farewell to Bo Diaz (aka Andrew Breitbart)

JOSEPH FARAH
WASHINGTON – You don’t expect to wake up in the morning to learn that a friend, colleague and fellow co-conspirator – 15 years your junior – has died.

It’s just not right.

That’s the news I got today about Andrew Breitbart, someone I have known and admired for nearly 15 years.

I still can’t believe it. All who knew him were hoping that someone had hacked into his website this morning and posted the news as a cruel joke. That would be just like Andrew’s enemies. But, alas, the unbelievably tragic announcement was confirmed.

Goodbye, Andrew, and thank you
Exclusive: Barbara Simpson ponders sting and suddenness of death

From WND Commentary ~ By Barbara Simpson ~ Published Mar 4, 2012
BARBARA SIMPSON
The morning I heard that Andrew Breitbart was dead, I was barely awake as the radio announcement broke through my groggy brain. The news, however, snapped me to attention and I began a day that drifted between the radio and the Internet to get the news, the updates, the speculation and the remembrances.

I didn’t know Andrew personally, but he was a guest on my KSFO radio program many times, always generous with his time and comments.

He was outspoken, brash, courageous and tireless.

I loved the story of his life from wild-child liberal to wild-man conservative! I admired him and his work and his accomplishments. He made my job easy, but his job was never-ending and difficult, battling the establishment.

The love/hate relationship Andrew’s work engendered was apparent in the reactions to his death.

Conservatives, those who were friends and those who were fans, lamented the loss and praised his diligence and courage in exposing the hypocrisy in today’s culture and politics.

To call the liberals predictable in their reaction to Breitbart’s passing would be generous. They were like lemmings going over the cliff, and their veiled insults were almost pleasant compared to the viciousness of blogs and tweets that relished in delivering the most egregious insults.

But the one aspect of his death was the suddenness. According to reports, he was fine, went out for an evening walk, stopped for a glass of wine and spent some time in good conversation and on his way home, dropped dead. Literally. He was 43.

Despite speculation there might have been foul play because of his new investigation of Barack Obama’s college days – which is not out of the realm of possibility...

Breitbart's final message to the left
Star Parker: 'Irony is that truth and compassion come from humility, not pride'
From WND Commentary ~ By Star Parker ~ Published Mar 2, 2012

STAR PARKER
If you think about it, Andrew Breitbart’s untimely passing from this life, at the age of 43, might be seen as the ultimate message that this man of media could deliver.

Breitbart famously used his media talent, particularly his facility with new media and new journalism, to fight the agenda of the left.

And what could strike more effectively at the heart of the premises of the left than the inscrutable death of a young and prodigiously talented and successful man, still scaling the heights of achievement, husband and father to four young children.

The fact is that the inconceivable and the unanticipated is the rule of our lives rather than the exception. Nothing more clearly defines the line which separates the political left from the political right than appreciation of this fact.

The left, after all, is about the pretense of planning, power and control. It’s about the belief that man – political man – can define and control the world and can appoint himself the final authority to determine what is fair and mete out justice.

OUTSIDE of the BOX

Yes, it is true, I can not avoid telling you that there will be plausible suspicions regarding the death of Andrew Breitbart. That is part of this story, after all. To bring some light to the possibility, I can always depend on Alex Jones, who you can entrust to come up with that alternative possibility that many may not even think about.

Did The Obama Crime Machine Kill Breitbart?

Video provided by TheAlexJonesChannel on Mar 1, 2012

It took LA a week to declare the cause of death for Whitney Houston but they knew 2 hours after Andrew Breitbart's death that it was natural and they told the world as fast as they could. Andrew said he would release film that would hurt Obama and now he is dead. It goes on and on and if that film dose not get released in full I call shenanigans.

It's time for frankness, not civility ~ By Erik Rush

Before you begin reading Erik's column and my commentary, please understand that I had planned to post this column on Friday morning. However, I had an unexpected delay. There was a slight little problem. It wasn't just because it was Friday the 13th... (was it?) No, it was part of the downtime that Blogger experienced that began with service issues following their maintenance project on Thursday, May 12.

To put it simply, the ability to start or edit blog posts was not available during that time. I was unable to start working on this post for my entire work day on Friday because of the downtime. And then when everything started working again - finally - I had too many other distractions that prevented me from getting this post done.

Well, here it is, at last. Are you ready for this?

The clear and present danger, as it were, is the one represented by those who have been wholly taken in by the con men, rather than the power players themselves: Union members, certain minority groups, as well as a few fringe special interests. Like the Russian, Chinese and Cuban workers, these believe that their kind, wise benefactors will usher in a new "worker's paradise."

Well, I don't think that the majority of Americans will suffer such fools gladly, not in the long term. Nor is there anything in our Constitution that says they have to.

Back in March, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan warned the president that "America will be bathed in blood" if Obama does not check his course, "because the American people are rising against their own government." And indeed, the civil war with which this administration is flirting would be far uglier than the last, because the battle lines will be drawn demographically, rather than geographically.

Yes, I am very aware that embedding a video like that above is very wrong. However, I only did it for symbolic purposes, to illustrate a point: Whatever conservatives say about President Barack Hussein Obama will be DEMONIZED!

For those of us that are going to follow Erik's advice, we're aware of what we'll be faced with. In the last column that I posted, Robert Ringer talked about the "normalcy bias." In my commentary on that column, I explained that when we tell people that Obama is Marxist, "I can see the facial expressions loudly portraying that they want to smack me in the head to get me back to reality. Eyebrows go up, eyes roll back."

Really? That's all that will happen? It really isn't. I failed to mention that to be up front with people, and let them know about Obama's evil agenda for this country, there could be detrimental affects on your social life, your career, and possibly even for you and your family's safety. It didn't really hit me until after I read this column by Erik the day after Robert's column came out. The pressure to keep you silent won't just come from government goons coming after you. They have other ways to "encourage" you to keep your mouth shut.

And then there is Mike Huckabee, who just announced that he won't be running for President. I think Mike understood that to win the election in 2012 would necessarily involve exposing Obama's evil socialist agenda. It wasn't in his heart. I'm just sayin'...

On May Day, Marxist-socialist pukes the world over held festivities commemorating International Workers' Day, the bastardization of what used to be a generic Spring holiday in many cultures, this being the first day of May. It may surprise the reader to know that the usurped version is celebrated in more than 80 countries at present.

Then again, it may not. …

This May 1, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) co-sponsored a rally in Los Angeles, one many interpreted as part of the ongoing effort on the part of radicals to normalize communism and Marxist thought in America. Even well-intentioned, politically active liberals and independent voters still giggle at the inference of a communist infiltration in America – let alone one that has installed a Marxist government and affiliated organizations into power.

Yet, there is so much evidence in confirmation of this that I haven't the space to enumerate it here.

Over the last few days, conservative pundits have been up in arms over the sociopathic rapper Common being invited to the White House by first lady Michelle Obama for a so-called celebration of American poetry. While this ought not be surprising (since the Obamas are, ideologically, part of the gang that celebrated the foul-mouthed "poet" and 9/11 truther Amiri Baraka being named Poet Laureate of the state of New Jersey in 2002, forever neutralizing the significance of that honor), it is indicative of the first couple's willingness to sully every feature of the White House, physical and symbolic. It also illustrates the extent to which political correctness and leftist intimidation have come to influence nearly all Americans.

What I mean by this is that public outrage over any number of offenses committed by this administration engender whispers of discontent, when they should elicit roars of derision. One Fox News commentator habitually refers to the president as a "far-left guy," while another asks his guests if they think Barack Obama "might be" a socialist.

With what is at stake in this nation, we simply cannot afford the civility and decorum we would like to practice. This tendency of ours has been capitalized upon by the left, and it is but one more of the virtues they are turning against us. I have no problem whatever in stating that Common is a brainless, ghetto idiot, this being in part a pathetic affectation itself, since he was raised by professional, educated people.

A union of corruption ~ By Patrice Lewis

When you read the full text of this column, Patrice includes an example of a mythical scenario of negotiation between a company CEO and a union boss... The union boss makes this ridiculous demand:
Union boss: … and we want an additional $25 dollars an hour for our members, two weeks extra vacation per year, a fully funded pension that provides our workers 100 percent of their highest take-home pay for the rest of their lives and comprehensive health insurance for our members, their families and significant others.

Now let's see – if this were a real company, the debate would have ended after the first impossible demand. But this isn't a real company. It's a government negotiating with a public service employees union. And neither the union boss nor the company chairman gives a damn about the people they represent. The union boss, who makes a CEO-sized salary, has no problem with requiring his people to support an unpopular executive. The company chairman doesn't mind screwing the company as long as the gravy train comes his way. And both of them couldn't care less about the stockholders. (That would be us, the taxpayers.)

There is no adversarial relationship in this negotiation. The union boss and the company chairman are partners. And we, the citizens, are the adversary. In a real-world business, this kind of behavior would warrant criminal investigation. But in the world of politics, it's business as usual.

So before you applaud a union, make sure you know what kind it is. Be sure to read the union label. You might be surprised by what's written in the small print.
Patrice brings up a subject that should be at the top of every discussion regarding the huge budget deficits of most state governments and probably many city governments. The problem with public service employee unions is very well explained in this column, and in the following video that I put on youtube last week:

A union of corruption

A few days ago, my homeschooled daughters were finishing up their school work and, as usual, we ended with a discussion of current events. After talking for a while over the protests in Wisconsin, my eldest asked if I thought unions were bad. I answered that I most certainly did not because I firmly believe belonging to a union is part of our God-given rights enumerated by the First Amendment concerning freedom of speech, the right to assembly and the consequent freedom of association.

But then I went on to explain that just because workers form unions to collectively bargain for better working conditions doesn't make them any different or more noble than the companies they negotiate with.

What do I mean? I mean that a union is simply a business, no different than the businesses they bargain with. A union is nothing more than a talent agency. Its purpose is to offer a company skilled and trained employees. And like any other vendor looking for a contract, it's ultimately the company's decision whether to deal with a union or to look elsewhere when hiring. There is nothing particularly noble about either unions or their stockholders (membership). Certainly there is no major difference between a union and any other for-profit endeavor. Both the company and the union are in business to maximize profit and minimize loss.

Which may then surprise you when I say public service employee unions ARE bad. And I believe it was a major mistake for President Kennedy to have allowed them collective-bargaining privileges. Public service unions are only regarded as "noble" because the union members tell us they are.

You see, a public service union is NOT based on free association. It is NOT based on the freedoms of speech and free assembly. Public service unions are a scam and a cheat.

At-all-costs Marxists ~ By Henry Lamb

Before I even read this column, I was having some questions. At some time I hope to write about those questions, but not now, not here.

Ummm.... okay, I lied. There is one question I had that needs to be written about here as it does relate directly to this column by Henry Lamb. I was wondering if I should really be worrying about the radical left? The reason I asked that question is because I wondering to myself (until just now), "If the radicals on the left - bluntly, the Marxists - were to be in actual control of this country, would We the People be able to take back the United States of America?"

So, are my fears justified? They probably are. And I feel good because I do know that I am not alone, I know that many people comprehend the grave danger facing this country and that jeopardizes our liberty.

I am encouraged to know that there are people like Henry Lamb, and many others, that have the courage to keep informing us. It helps to know that I do not stand alone. I know that there is a storm coming, but I am not afraid to face it. No, make that, WE are not afraid to face it! Just sayin'....

Proud Socialists March at Left-Wing Protest in DC

Video provided by AforP

Marxists influenced the direction of government excessively during the Wilson administration, the Roosevelt administration and since the Clinton administration. Obama and his cadre of Marxists czars, along with the Democratic majority in Congress, have turned up the heat on advancing his Marxist agenda. The Democrats and the Marxist organizations gathered at the Lincoln Memorial last week will do whatever is necessary to prevail in every election they can, and then enact every Marxist scheme they can during the lame-duck session of Congress.

Never have the Marxists been this close to completely "transforming the United States of America," as Obama so proudly predicted. Never has it been so important to turn out the Democrats in Congress and replace them with candidates who honor and respect the U.S. Constitution, free markets, private property and individual freedom.
At-all-costs Marxists
By Henry Lamb

Editor's note: Listen to this column online.

The recent gathering at the Lincoln Memorial was nothing less than an enormous, nationally televised coming-out party for closet Marxists. Washington watchers have long known about the love affair between the Marxists in America and other major political forces. Here are a few of the organizations that are marching, lock-step, in support of the Democratic majority that is advancing a Marxist agenda:
  • Communist Party USA (CPUSA)
  • Democratic Socialists of America
  • Committee of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism
  • Sierra Club
  • National Wildlife Federation
  • Friends of the Earth
  • Center for Biological Diversity
  • NAACP
  • Rainbow PUSH Coalition
  • AFL-CIO
  • UAW, International Union
  • SEIU: Service Employees International Union
  • American Federation of Teachers
  • American Association of University Professors
  • AFGE: American Federation of Government Employees
  • (And more than 300 other organizations)

The Democrats and their coalition of Marxist organizations say the Reid-Pelosi Marxist majority must be returned to Congress because the Republicans will return to the "failed policies of the past" and run the "economy into the ditch" again.

Any honest analysis of why the economy ran into the ditch has to begin with the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977, promoted by the Carter administration and many of the organizations that "came out" last weekend. The purpose of the law was to make it easier for low-income families to get mortgages.

Marxists, of course, believe that adequate housing is a right, and that government has the responsibility to see that every person has adequate housing. The Clinton administration, goaded on by many of the organizations that "came out" last weekend, lowered the credit requirements to the point that NINJNAs (No Job, No Income, No Assets) were buying upscale houses all over the country with what were called "subprime" mortgages. To his credit, George W. Bush tried in vain to tighten the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but Democrats Charles Schumer and Barney Frank led the charge to defeat tighter controls.

Video provided by ProudToBeCanadian

It was clearly the failed policies of the Democrats and their Marxist buddies who ran the economy into the ditch, not eight years of the Bush administration.

Speaker after speaker last week railed against corporations that out-sourced jobs to foreign countries. They fail to recognize that it is their failed policies that force corporations to find less expensive production costs.

Environmental organizations such as the Sierra Club, the Center for Biological Diversity and hundreds of others constantly force production costs upwards by lobbying for ever-stronger environmental regulations that virtually stop land use and require reams of scientific and technical reviews to meet Environmental Impact Statement requirements. These regulatory costs rarely improve the environment, and since they are not required in other countries, corporations are drawn away from America.

Labor unions drive wage and benefit costs up year after year, without concern for the financial impacts or whether there are sufficient sales to cover the costs. This is what killed the U.S. auto industry. This, along with excessive environmental and social regulatory costs, is what has killed the entire American manufacturing industry. These are the failed policies that are dragging the American economy into the ditch, not eight years of the Bush administration. This ever-increasing cost of production doesn't exist in other countries; these Marxist policies force industry to leave the U.S.

Marxists claim they believe in non-discrimination, equality for everyone. That is, everyone but the rich.

Marxists believe in discrimination against the rich. Marxists believe that the rich should be penalized and forced to pay a higher tax rate than everyone else.

ODSD: Obama Double Standard Disease ~ By Larry Elder

Larry gives some examples of the contrast in the media bias for Barack Hussein Obama and the treatment of anyone that dissents and doesn't agree with Obama's extreme leftist agenda (like the Tea Party Movement).
It means that the harmful consequences of the exploding welfare state get ignored, trivialized or disputed. It means that "experts," hand-picked and quoted by the media, overwhelmingly support the administration's income-equality agenda. It means that inconvenient news stories – ones that question "bigger and better" government or show there is another side – are downplayed, underreported or dismissed.

The Obama Double Standard Disease is a pre-existing illness – not covered, even under ObamaCare.
By Larry Elder

© 2010

Obama Double Standard Disease: an affliction that causes the media to ignore, rationalize or trivialize in order to defend, support and advance the tax-the-rich, spread-the-wealth, expand-the-government agenda of President Barack Obama and his party. This stands in stark contrast with the media treatment of those who refuse to embrace the left-wing, America-bullies-the-world, dissenters-are-racist, pro-amnesty, gay marriage-is-a-right, pro-Roe v. Wade worldview.

ODSD is pandemic. Here are just a few cases.

When the economy recovered under President George W. Bush, the major news media pronounced it a "jobless recovery." Now, despite unemployment stalled at 9.7 percent for several months, the same media call it a "surprising" or "unexpected" recovery.

Obama urged passage of an $800 billion "stimulus" package to prevent unemployment from reaching 8 percent. Post-stimulus passage, unemployment reached 10 percent. Consider how the media would have treated President Bush had he given varying predictions about, and then varying accounts of, the number of jobs supposedly "created or saved" – a laughably unprovable yardstick.

Obama brazenly claims that under his policies, 95 percent of "working Americans" received a "tax cut." But nearly half of American workers pay absolutely nothing in income taxes. And after exemptions, tax credits and other deductions, the Obama tax cut even exceeded many workers' payroll taxes. How does a check, given to someone who pays little or no taxes, become a "tax cut"?

The National Rifle Association backed the 2000 presidential candidacy of George W. Bush. Describing the organization's relationship with Bush as "unbelievably friendly," an NRA official said a Bush victory would mean "a president where we work out of their office." Envisioning then-NRA President Charlton Heston sitting at a fold-out table next to the president's desk, the media pounced.

Typical of the coverage was a Washington Post article with this headline: "The NRA Brags That They'll Work Out Of President GW Bush's Oval Office." The Post pointed out that the NRA gave more than $500,000 in 1999 and 2000 to the GOP and that it expected to spend between $12 million and $15 million more on the 2000 election. These stories elicited a denial of undue influence from the Bush camp: "Neither the NRA nor any special interest sets the governor's agenda."

The Service Employees International Union, to elect Obama and other Democrats in 2008, spent $85 million. And in support of corporate bailouts, Obamacare and higher taxes to "spread the wealth differently," SEIU President Andy Stern said, "Western Europe, as much as we used to make fun of it, has made different trade-offs which may have ended with a little more unemployment but a lot more equality."

NBC's Matt Lauer did not ask Obama about the incredible willingness of the SEIU – his biggest financial supporter – to accept fewer jobs for "a lot more equality." CBS' Katie Couric did no story on the union's admission that higher taxes mean fewer jobs. No Washington Post editorial page asked how Stern's "trade-off" of fewer jobs squares with what Obama said about the importance of creating jobs: "That's the single most important thing we can do."

Is Obama really 'brilliant'? ~ By Burt Prelutsky

Commentary from WorldNetDaily. Like Burt says, I wish people like O'Reilly or MSNBC would give examples of why they think Obama is "brilliant." I myself haven't ever noticed any emanating intelligence coming from Obama.
But I wouldn't want to leave liberals and some goofy conservatives entirely speechless when it comes to describing the president. So to fill the void, I'm happy to supply them with some options, such as stubborn, pompous, inflexible, dishonest, officious, partisan, unpatriotic, duplicitous, socialist, untrustworthy and dictatorial.

Any of those words is far more fitting than brilliant, as are self-enamored, egotistical, narcissistic, long-winded and boring.

During his State of the Union address, with eight of the Supreme Court justices sitting right in front of him like clay pigeons, Barack Obama told the world that he would have to correct their mistake by bringing back McCain-Feingold. Well, why wouldn't he say such a stupid thing? After all, he's been wrong about everything else.

It's perfectly reasonable that Obama would oppose corporations donating money to political campaigns. Where do oil, coal and pharmaceutical companies get off thinking they should have the same right as the UAW, the SEIU, ACORN and George Soros to finance elections? For that matter, while whining about some corporations playing a role in the election process, I haven't heard Obama say boo about the role such corporations as NBC, CBS, ABC, the Washington Post or the New York Times have played in creating and burnishing his image.

But, then, who are regular, run-of-the-mill, taxpaying Americans to question Obama? He's brilliant, after all. It's not just liberals who say so, either. I keep hearing people like Bill O'Reilly saying so day after day. The problem is that I keep looking for signs of his brilliance, and looking and looking. It doesn't help that the O'Reillys of the world never point out any examples.

Still, if Obama is so brilliant, why does he parrot the words and thoughts of a bunch of schmucks like Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky, Al Gore and Michael Moore? Why does he insist that the trouble with the Constitution and the civil-rights movement is that they didn't focus on the redistribution of wealth? Why would he hand over the federal budget to a couple of morons like Pelosi and Reid? And why on earth would he put Henry Waxman in charge of his energy program? A brilliant person wouldn't trust Waxman to bring baked beans to a picnic.

'Bolshevik plot,' Obama? Bingo! ~ By Erik Rush

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Erik Rush By Erik Rush Posted: February 04, 2010 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2010 Late last week, radio and television commentator Glenn Beck touched on something at which I hinted in my last column – that rather than putting on the brakes in light of Scott Brown's recent senatorial win and the summative occurrences leading up to same, the Obama administration would probably stomp on the gas. Beck's assessment was based on instructions contained in "Rules for Radicals," the Saul Alinsky tome that has been a holy text for President Obama's variety of progressives; this protocol calls for fierce augmentation of goal-oriented actions when threatened or thwarted, rather than falling back and regrouping. And it would appear that Beck – or perhaps Beck and I – were correct. As reported, early this week, Obama released his new $3.8 trillion budget plan, nearly half of which is deficit spending and which includes approximately $1.4 trillion in tax increases on businesses and "the wealthy."
Our economy has lost 7 million jobs over the last two years. And our government is deeply in debt. – President Obama, Feb. 1, 2010
This reality somehow renders all of the spending a perfectly rational and prudent course of action, I suppose. Obviously I'm being facetious, but one would think that given the Brown win, Republican gubernatorial wins in Virginia and New Jersey, and the ongoing battle within his own party over health-care reform legislation, Obama might have revising his budget or delaying its release. But he didn't. He unveiled it with a flourish, and on schedule, warts and all. Like in the stimulus bill of 2009, no doubt there will be billions in sheer, shameless waste, billions going to phantom ZIP codes, earmarks and pork, and untraceable billions that will find their way into the hands of Obama cronies (such as ACORN and SEIU), unions and uber-progressive states. Ex-Convict Bob Creamer Laid Out Health Care Reform Plan In 2008 Speech ~ By Kyle Olson

From BigGovernment.com
By Kyle Olson December 8, 2009 Robert CreamerACORNcracked.com recently obtained an audio recording a speech by Robert Creamer, given at the Take Back America 2008 conference in Washington, DC, that was hosted by Campaign for America’s Future, an ultra-liberal organization. (Hear audio at original story) In a March 19 session entitled, “Health Care: The Politics of Winning,” ex-convict Creamer and husband of Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), laid out his vision for health care reform. Of Creamer’s 10-point plan, number 5 is:
To have a movement that both deals with that fact [that health care reform should be personal] and creates a movement we have to have two elements. In a lot of campaigns we run are either about a populist kind of message and feel because it’s about people’s pocketbooks and needs directly. Or it has a moral dimension that is inspirational and empowering – the civil rights movement, for instance. This movement needs to have both. To have a movement, to mobilize people, to inspire people, you have to appeal to their sense of meaning and purpose and something important. So we have to create a sense that this is a historic battle. This is about you’re being part of something that will make you meaningful. (emphasis added)
If there is a legitimate crisis, does the “sense” really need to be “created?” Or are Creamer, Healthcare for America Now, SEIU, ACORN and others creating a problem to suit meet their ends? Then he talked about the campaign and how to defeat their opponents.
We have to spend a lot of time particularly now, in this next year, going after our principle adversary here: the private insurance industry. … We need to reduce the credibility of the private insurance industry as, I mean, let’s be honest, right? Twenty five percent of America’s health care costs go to administration and advertising. … This is a political campaign. We need to bring down the positives and bring up the negatives of our opponents. And the private insurance industry is our opponent in this battle. (emphasis added)

Red Alert! Infowars under direct attack by Obama Brownshirts

There can longer be any doubt, the White House and their army of cult followers are publicly censoring the news and restricting free speech.

People in opposition to Obama’s policies are now being beaten up in the streets everywhere and the White House has unleashed tattle tale squads to flag and report dissenters. We have now been directly censored. Even we are shocked.

It’s just like what Obama did with Odinga in Kenya– my God, these people are for real.

Again, we are under attack right now. Within the next hour, we’ll have a video and story up, so watch this space.

The enemy is moving against everyone, not just us.

It’s like 1918 in Russia, or the takeover in China by Mao or the rise of Hitler.

I’m working feverishly with my team. We’ll have details for you within the next 2 hours. Please stand by to get this info out to everyone you know.

This is a Red alert.

I told everyone on Friday the country is on the edge of Revolution. The bankers know this; they knew there’d be resistance to their corporate takeover of the United States, so they are trying to restrict dissent and take over public meetings, because their illusion is in trouble.

Tyrannts slowly get you to accept their abuse, until all of a sudden you wake up and realize that you’re under the oppression seen in Germany in 1935.

This is a rush report; more to follow soon.

[This short report has been re-published in full from InfoWars.com. Be sure to stand by for any further reports.]

UPDATE: As mentioned above, there was more to follow. See "Obama Speech Police Shutdown Top You Tube Videos."

The HC Monstrosity-All 1,018 Pages

Since Congress doesn’t want to read the Health Care Bill and Obama, ACORN, Unions, Lawyers, & Special Interest Groups don’t want you to know whats in this monstrosity, I decided to do it myself. I’ve taken all my tweets on the HC bill and put them into one single place for your enjoyment. Additionally here is the link to the full bill – Health Care Bill Update: Folks, I’ve done this analysis and provided the fruit of my efforts here for free. I want all of you who read this to share it with as many people as possible. I’ve now come across sites that have advertising or services that generate income. No biggie, I love capitalism, but some have been using my work as their own. So I’m requiring that if any person or entity uses my work in any form then they must link to my blog and attribute my hard work to me. It’s still free but please give credit where credit is due. Enjoy and remember – the President & Congress are YOUR servants, not the other way around. [CONTINUE READING to see the analysis]
