When I read this column, there wasn't a thing that I could disagree with. Patrice has it exactly right, and I like her thinking. The timing of this column could not have better, either, with Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders running around promising free tuition or a government pay-off of all student loans.

So to all you college cupcakes, if you really want to make yourself employable, skip the social justice warrior route and instead spend your time cultivating the intangible but valuable skills all employers seek: a strong work ethic, discipline, self-control, a dedication to your commitments, the ability to arrive on time, to perform a task without complaint and (after training) without supervision, the ability to write coherently instead of like a texting monkey, the ability to speak clearly without saying “like” or use an expletive every fourth word, and other indefinable skills that raise you head and shoulders above the crowd.

After you read this column, you will see the fallacy of the Democrats' vision of free college education. For those students that have worked hard and sacrificed to get through college, it would be the ultimate stab in the back for the nanny state to make it possible to saturate the job market with a much higher supply than there is a demand for college graduates. All that will do is lower everybody's wages when they go into the work force.

And believe me, having a college education doesn't guarantee a good paying job. But, even more compelling is that Patrice pointed out the fact that many people can get into the trades and make a great income, and a military stint can greatly increase the skills of the kids along with helping to pay for further education.

The social justice whiners just don't get it! Do they really think that ANYONE voting next November will vote for a candidate with a plan to educate even more kids with a major in whining for a living? Not a chance. Just sayin'...

It is readily apparent that Phil Elmore came loaded for bear in this article. What happened at the University of Missouri was as follows:

The social justice agitators, fresh from successfully ousting their school’s leadership over the alleged, unproven and false claim of “racism,” have vowed that this is just the beginning. It seems a single black student heard a single epithet shouted at someone, by someone, under circumstances that can neither be proven nor specified. This was, in and of itself, enough to push the president and chancellor from their posts. This happens because the outrage voiced and amplified online becomes too great for its victims to bear.

The Social Justice Whiners, or SJW, being one and the same as "Crybullies," are not going to stop their screaming at the U. of Mo.  Nope, don't hand them a pacifier, as we are now finding that it doesn't stop their whining as they move on to other targets.  In fact, their bullying has spread across the country at many other universities.  Phil explains the paradoxical twist here:

To some, these SJW monsters are the creatures of the left’s own creation. Many have said that the liberal denizens of our nation’s ivory towers deserve what they get. They fed these monsters a steady diet of participation trophies, speech codes and yes-means-yes sexual assent contracts; how do they now object when their twisted children begin eating them? But as the universities fall, so do other American institutions. The monsters have the Internet, and it is the Internet that lets them propagate their hate and their fascism.

Everyone but the low-info useful idiots knew this would happen. I have to wonder how liberal academia is feeling right now. They filled the young minds with mush that ends up being turned against them, and it seemed to take them by surprise! Just sayin'...

An army of liberal trolls ~ By Phil Elmore

Remember that Mozilla’s CEO lost his job because he once held an opinion that is considered by liberals to be politically incorrect. His position had nothing to do with his job and, more significantly, the company for which he worked took no position, donated no funds, for or against gay marriage. This is a slippery slope because liberals already feel quite free to threaten conservatives with death. They particularly enjoy threatening conservative women with rape. And now that there are liberal voices calling for the imprisonment of those who “deny” man-made climate change, does it really take a leap of logic to see where this leads society? If the demonization, marginalization and persecution of conservative opinion does not stop, we’re one short chute away from a world in which liberals might actually screw up the courage to murder the conservatives they hate so much.

I know that Phil is absolutely right on the money with this commentary. I mean, it's still pretty sad, but it certainly does - unfortunately - reflect the culture we live in. The changes in accepted moral standards have been drastically "scummed down" during my lifetime. Literally having had my mouth washed out with soap as a youngster for the slightest of offensive curse words should tell you something! (Okay, it may also tell you that I'm getting old, but please ignore that.)

In the earlier days of my online blogging experience, it wasn't long before I became aware of the existence of the liberal trolls. At first, it really bothered me, because they didn't just attack what I was writing about; it was the personal attacks that I had to deal with! They seemed to know the right button to push that would hurt the most. I kept having to ask myself, "Who ARE these people? What do they have against me?" Though I eventually learned the answers to those questions on my own a long time ago, Phil's column is confirming that I was correctly realizing that it wasn't about me specifically, but the Conservative ideals that I believe in.

That being said, there was a deeper and darker part of this column that we need to pay close attention to.  I'm pretty sure that the thought of being loaded on to freight trains is frightening, but seems to be implausible... we would hope! But the implications of the violent rhetoric from the Left these days does not allow me to just ignore what Phil is saying. And it isn't just the liberal trolls saying Conservatives should be dead or raped that is disturbing, either. No, it is the liberal academia, liberal mainstream media, and even liberals that became bureaucrats and politicians that should worry us.  There are those that would like to silence us for saying what we believe.  When you read Phil's column, and this post, I think you will understand what I mean.  I'm just sayin'...

There’s a reason popular culture matters. It’s because it is not what politicians say that changes minds. The opinions of your fellow human beings are formed through their interactions with technology. From the moment you first get your news from Twitter to the hours you while away looking at shared opinions and entertainment on Facebook, from the stories that are carefully selected for your television news to the radio commercials you listen to, from the pop-up “surveys” you see on your monitor to the lyrics in the pop songs you play on Pandora, your default opinions are formed in this background noise, this wash of attitudes and presumptions that comprise your laundry list of assumptions about life.

The left understands just how powerful is this technological lever when moving society’s opinion. To this end, the libs, the leftists, the “progressives,” employ – figuratively if not literally – an army of trolls. Their mission is to scream more loudly, to squawk more belligerently, to rail more vociferously against any voice they dislike. Any statement of conservative or libertarian opinion must be shouted down through online comments and rebuttal, because to permit conservatives free speech is to concede that there might be two sides to an argument. It is to admit that a right-wing voice might be as legitimate, as socially acceptable, as a left-wing voice.

VIDEO: The troubling gaffes by political candidates is getting worse!

To be fair, when asked about David Perdue's comments, this is how campaign spokesman Derrick Dickey responded:

David was simply making the case that he is the most qualified person in this race to help get our economy back on track so that we can start paying down the massive federal debt. His comment was based on facts that are a matter of public record.

I further learned from the Atlantic Journal Constitution column by Jim Galloway that Handel's campaign manager Corry Bliss responded to the email in this way:

It is disappointing that David would demean someone who—by no fault of her own—moved out of an abusive home at age 17, and with her own hard work and determination, is the embodiment of the American Dream.

Karen is an example of how, with great perseverance and sheer will, the circumstances under which you grow up do not dictate your ability to succeed.

While David boasts about all the time he spent living in Europe and Asia, and all of the millions of dollars he intends to spend on this race, this election is about who conservatives can relate to and trust to get results in the United States Senate.

Look, what David Perdue said about Karen Handel was possibly worse than what Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA) managed to do by disparaging Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) because he doesn't have a law degree. At least what Braley said only matters to liberals that agree with him, such as trial lawyers that don't want tort reform.  In Perdue's case, it was a drastic political error, because he was dividing Republicans by purporting to be "above" Karen Handel only because of his education level. 

Yes, it is very disturbing, not just to me, but to even the hosts of The Five.  Greg Gutfeld says in this segment, "This woman is actually overqualified by not going to college."  And Dana Perino very eloquently says that the voters in the Republican primary in Georgia have their answer when it comes to picking the right person to be their candidate.

A long story short?  If you are running for a political office in a Republican primary, don't go divisive like the typical liberals do, especially when it is one of your own!  I can't wait to see if Karen Handel gets a large bump in the polls.  I suspect that she will.  Republicans that do the liberal kind of things, like disparaging opponents, and acting like global elitists, are what I call RINOs.  Just sayin'...

It's another great Alfonzo Rachel video that needs to be seen. "Zo" is absolutely correct. What is it going to hurt to have Bibles in the hotel rooms?

I just wonder if that hotel at Iowa State University has a cable system coming into the rooms that contains porn? Whether or not it does, a lot of hotels do. But if any of us were offended? The same people that want Bibles banned from rooms because they say it is a violation of "the separation of church and state" would say that allowing porn on TV is freedom of speech. How is it right that those on the Left are offended by the Bible can be offended, but Christians can't stop the garbage on TV because we are offended? And if the state run university in Iowa bans Bibles in the hotel rooms, isn't THAT a violation of the First Amendment by the government saying Christian literature isn't allowed?

Annie Laurie Gaylor, of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, is on a mission to do away with Christianity.  It's a step by step process, and one of those steps is centered around a hotel at Iowa State University.  Atheists of course will not be satisfied with forcing their beliefs in the classrooms.  They'll keep going until Christianity is no longer tolerated, while forgetting that Christianity is at the foundation of what made this the most tolerant, charitable, and prosperous nation in the world.

There's a reason Karl Marx is revered by so many academics. The reason is very simple. Marx made them respectable.

The secret lament of many academics goes something like this:

• There are lots of problems in the world

• We know – because we've studied them

• Because we've studied them, we know how to fix them

• We have the answer, yet nobody ever calls on us!

• Here! In the back row (waving hand furiously). I know the answer! Pick me!

In other words, "We're the best and the brightest. We have the answers. We should be running things!"

The genius of Karl Marx was not that he solved the world's economic problems. He didn't. The genius of Karl Marx was that he flipped the very old argument from, "Who should have the power?" and made it appear that the real question is, "Who should have the money?"

The great success of Marx is that he made the age-old vices of conceit and the lust for power seem legitimate; perhaps even honorable. Those who craved power over others could now cloak their lust in bland economic platitudes about the means of production and the voice of the proletariat.

The means of production – factories, jobs (and the money to pay for them) – would be owned in common by all the people. The decisions about what to produce (how to spend the money), how much to produce and who does what job would be made by those with political power (since they now controlled the assets). And these same elites would surely call on the academics for advice and implementation.

Two very different systems. Two very different inputs. And two very different results – as 90 years of communist history in various nations of the world has shown.

At-all-costs Marxists ~ By Henry Lamb

Before I even read this column, I was having some questions. At some time I hope to write about those questions, but not now, not here.

Ummm.... okay, I lied. There is one question I had that needs to be written about here as it does relate directly to this column by Henry Lamb. I was wondering if I should really be worrying about the radical left? The reason I asked that question is because I wondering to myself (until just now), "If the radicals on the left - bluntly, the Marxists - were to be in actual control of this country, would We the People be able to take back the United States of America?"

So, are my fears justified? They probably are. And I feel good because I do know that I am not alone, I know that many people comprehend the grave danger facing this country and that jeopardizes our liberty.

I am encouraged to know that there are people like Henry Lamb, and many others, that have the courage to keep informing us. It helps to know that I do not stand alone. I know that there is a storm coming, but I am not afraid to face it. No, make that, WE are not afraid to face it! Just sayin'....

Marxists influenced the direction of government excessively during the Wilson administration, the Roosevelt administration and since the Clinton administration. Obama and his cadre of Marxists czars, along with the Democratic majority in Congress, have turned up the heat on advancing his Marxist agenda. The Democrats and the Marxist organizations gathered at the Lincoln Memorial last week will do whatever is necessary to prevail in every election they can, and then enact every Marxist scheme they can during the lame-duck session of Congress.

Never have the Marxists been this close to completely "transforming the United States of America," as Obama so proudly predicted. Never has it been so important to turn out the Democrats in Congress and replace them with candidates who honor and respect the U.S. Constitution, free markets, private property and individual freedom.

The recent gathering at the Lincoln Memorial was nothing less than an enormous, nationally televised coming-out party for closet Marxists. Washington watchers have long known about the love affair between the Marxists in America and other major political forces. Here are a few of the organizations that are marching, lock-step, in support of the Democratic majority that is advancing a Marxist agenda:

• Communist Party USA (CPUSA)
• Democratic Socialists of America
• Committee of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism
• Sierra Club
• National Wildlife Federation
• Friends of the Earth
• Center for Biological Diversity
• NAACP
• Rainbow PUSH Coalition
• AFL-CIO
• UAW, International Union
• SEIU: Service Employees International Union
• American Federation of Teachers
• American Association of University Professors
• AFGE: American Federation of Government Employees
• (And more than 300 other organizations)

The Democrats and their coalition of Marxist organizations say the Reid-Pelosi Marxist majority must be returned to Congress because the Republicans will return to the "failed policies of the past" and run the "economy into the ditch" again.

Any honest analysis of why the economy ran into the ditch has to begin with the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977, promoted by the Carter administration and many of the organizations that "came out" last weekend. The purpose of the law was to make it easier for low-income families to get mortgages.

Marxists, of course, believe that adequate housing is a right, and that government has the responsibility to see that every person has adequate housing. The Clinton administration, goaded on by many of the organizations that "came out" last weekend, lowered the credit requirements to the point that NINJNAs (No Job, No Income, No Assets) were buying upscale houses all over the country with what were called "subprime" mortgages. To his credit, George W. Bush tried in vain to tighten the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but Democrats Charles Schumer and Barney Frank led the charge to defeat tighter controls.

It was clearly the failed policies of the Democrats and their Marxist buddies who ran the economy into the ditch, not eight years of the Bush administration.

Speaker after speaker last week railed against corporations that out-sourced jobs to foreign countries. They fail to recognize that it is their failed policies that force corporations to find less expensive production costs.

Environmental organizations such as the Sierra Club, the Center for Biological Diversity and hundreds of others constantly force production costs upwards by lobbying for ever-stronger environmental regulations that virtually stop land use and require reams of scientific and technical reviews to meet Environmental Impact Statement requirements. These regulatory costs rarely improve the environment, and since they are not required in other countries, corporations are drawn away from America.

Labor unions drive wage and benefit costs up year after year, without concern for the financial impacts or whether there are sufficient sales to cover the costs. This is what killed the U.S. auto industry. This, along with excessive environmental and social regulatory costs, is what has killed the entire American manufacturing industry. These are the failed policies that are dragging the American economy into the ditch, not eight years of the Bush administration. This ever-increasing cost of production doesn't exist in other countries; these Marxist policies force industry to leave the U.S.

Marxists claim they believe in non-discrimination, equality for everyone. That is, everyone but the rich.

Marxists believe in discrimination against the rich. Marxists believe that the rich should be penalized and forced to pay a higher tax rate than everyone else.

"This must change if we want future generations of Americans to believe in the relevance of our nation's founding principles and to maintain a self-governing society where freedom and opportunity flourish," it said.

Talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh says a new study of college students that indicates only a fraction are learning civics lessons but many are adopting liberalism is "infuriating" but not surprising.

Limbaugh cited the American Civic Literacy survey conducted periodically by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.

Among the results were that 51 percent of the respondents could not name the three branches of government, and 27 percent could not name even one right or freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment.

"This goes on and on and on," Limbaugh said.

However, the report concluded, colleges are doing an exemplary job indoctrinating students into liberalism.

The work found:

• College makes people more likely to support same-sex marriage and abortion on demand, and less likely to support school prayer and the American work ethic

• A college degree moves a person toward the Democrat/liberal side of the political spectrum, while greater civic knowledge moves a person toward the Republican/conservative side.

• Gaining civic knowledge produces a more independent frame of mind than graduating from college

• College professors are more likely than non-professors to believe that America corrupts otherwise good people, the Ten Commandments are irrelevant and educators should instill more doubt among students

The survey organization said the report "clearly shows that college fails to give graduates a grasp of essential elements of American history, government and economics."

The experiment that has been conducted within the population of blacks in America by the far left over the last four decades has been a tremendously successful one. It has demonstrated that the left does indeed have the ability to so thoroughly propagandize a segment of American society, while grossly exploiting them, that it remains all but impossible for that group to grasp the reality of their situation and react accordingly.

I refer to the phenomenon of the political left having insinuated its doctrine into what is commonly referred to as "the black community" in America and subverted its cultural norms. Tandem with this, they completely co-opted the civil rights agenda.

What has occurred regarding black Americans is a microcosm, if you will, of the agenda the left has for Americans at large; indeed, many have been similarly indoctrinated ideologically, but even some of these have been known to gravitate away from the socialist worldview. As a whole, however, black Americans remain obdurately camped within the fortifications of the far left, despite ongoing and even increasing exploitation.

This, no doubt, has been encouraging to progressive-socialists and Marxists in positions of power; it indicates that such methodology might eventually prove successful among all Americans – or at least enough to cement their political power in perpetuity. This is, no doubt, a chief reason why progressives are feverishly working toward amnesty for illegal immigrants from Mexico; an extra 10 million or so devoted Democratic voters would go a long way toward that aforementioned cementing of power.

An entire book could be written on the manifestations of the political left's effect on blacks and race relations in America. As far as black Americans go, it was fortunate for progressives that, as of 1950, millions of black Americans had been drawn to large urban centers, where the left's power was concentrated. Also fortuitous was the fact that the same progressive agencies practically controlled the public education system and were augmenting their sway.

Thus, through the influence of substandard education, activism and political dogma, black Americans became and remain convinced that segregationists, white supremacists and whites who generally wished to keep blacks subordinate were creatures of the political right. The machination of the left's throwing billions at the black community under the pretense of exacting justice, but fostering dependence, is also well-known to many Americans.

Many black Americans who go on to colleges receive even deeper indoctrination into the afrocentric worldview by old-school Marxist professors, former radicals and neo-Marxists (both black and white), who nurture the conviction that a malevolent, faceless white majority would just as soon see blacks back on a plantation somewhere. This they might even accomplish – if not for the magnanimous action of progressives.

You may have just cringed, but I engage in such activity concerning those with whom I vehemently disagree because I believe that, if I am to refer to someone as a societal parasite or ambulating excrement, it is my responsibility to have a sound basis for doing so. As you may know, Ayers is the unrepentant domestic terrorist from the 1970s who participated in the bombings of New York City police headquarters, the Capitol building in Washington and the Pentagon. Bill Ayers was never successfully prosecuted due to legal technicalities, and later served on the boards of two far left nonprofits with Barack Obama – yes, our illustrious president. During the 2008 presidential campaign, in fact, Obama claimed to know next to nothing about him, despite Ayers' international infamy and Obama having been a "fellow traveler" (an insider expression among Marxists for those who share an affinity for Marxist philosophy). In his heyday (when he was bombing government buildings), Ayers, his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, and the Weather Underground terrorist group they founded advocated for a communist revolution in America. I wound up seething (after watching the video) and wondered how it was that someone had not treated this man's grey matter to the light of day decades ago. Ayers' distinguished professorship (at the University of Illinois at Chicago) and his popularity on the lecture circuit speak to the fountain of subversion and mediocrity American academics has become. What's far more disturbing is that he and his ilk are not laughed out of lecture halls for the profoundly juvenile temperament of their political philosophy. Indeed, though couched in intellectual trappings and mock sagacity, it is little more than the expression of deep spitefulness and envy. The more I am exposed to the insipid, toxic mouthings of far-left icons, the more they come off like spoiled children who believe they have a right to that which another other child has, simply because they desire it.
