By Henry Lamb Posted: December 19, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 'Tis the week before Christmas and all through the land, not a freedom is safe from Obama's hand. Bankers, bewildered, before him now bow, while automakers, thankful, praise his cash cow. With energy and health care nearing control, his grasp on the nation is as he foretold. The people are stirred by his escapades, and are somewhat shocked by the history they made. Obama is not what he promised to be; he brings, instead, tyranny. America's great experiment in freedom was designed by our founders to create a new kind of government consisting of the very people for whom the government was made. The first purpose of this new government was to protect the freedom of the people against all enemies both foreign and domestic, and especially from governmental tyranny. To keep the federal government under control, the designers limited the power of the new federal government to those very specific areas set forth in Article I, Section 8. These limitations are now routinely ignored by both the House and the Senate. The one mechanism in our system of government designed to rid our government of those who abuse the Constitution is the biennial elections. America stands at the brink of a Marxist abyss because Americans have elected a majority of officials who do not honor the Constitution, who do not respect the value of individual freedom, and who crave personal power and perks more than the prosperity produced by free people operating a free market. A majority of disappointed non-Democrats allowed this congressional majority to be elected by staying home on Election Day. If the United States created by the Constitution is to survive, Americans must mobilize and remove the current majority in Washington. Actions by the Washington majority have stirred deep-seated anger and patriotic enthusiasm across the countryside, but there is a very real danger this anti-majority fervor will be splintered. Tea-party activists are battling for leadership while Glenn Beck's 9-12 groups compete for attention. Third-party promoters vie for support in the face of waning Republican influence. This is a guaranteed formula for failure in 2010. Victory in 2010 is not necessarily determined by party label. There are Democrats who believe in the constitutional limitation of congressional power, and Republicans who do not. The challenge faced by voters is finding candidates – regardless of party affiliation – who are strong advocates of the U.S. Constitution, as demonstrated by deeds, not rhetoric. Sadly, many of these candidates labor fruitlessly in third-party campaigns. Rush Limbaugh's advice to third parties is sound: Take control of the Republican Party and make it the party of the Constitution. READ FULL STORY >

A million or more rock Washington
From WorldNetDaily
Taxpayer march could be biggest rally ever in capital Posted: September 12, 2009 ~ 9:57 pm Eastern By Chelsea Schilling and Alyssa Farah © 2009 WorldNetDailyWASHINGTON – The capital was rocked today by a taxpayer march and rally that could be the biggest protest ever – potentially dwarfing the Million Man March and the Promise Keepers Rally. Though crowd estimates vary from as low as 60,000 to 70,000 according to ABC News to a high of 2 million by London Daily Mail, photographs and videos of the march and rally demonstrate its enormity. The taxpayers stormed Washington, D.C., today, taking their fight against excessive spending, bailouts, growth of big government and soaring deficits to the front door of the U.S. Capitol.
All week citizens have been heading to the Hill by the busloads for the showdown today. The Tea Party Patriots' "Tea Party Express" national bus tour has been hosting a series of tea party rallies all across the nation. A caravan of buses, speakers and entertainers arrived in Washington, D.C., just in time for the march. The taxpayers have paid their own way to the event. The White House said Friday it was unaware of the rally. President Obama has traveled to Minneapolis, Minn., to promote his health-care plans at a rally there. But so many taxpayers showed up on Pennsylvania Avenue that the crowd ran out of room and the march was forced to begin early. WND was at the scene to get crowd reaction and take photos of the protest. [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE AND SEE MORE PICS]

Patriots to storm Washington, target out-of-control spending
From WorldNetDaily
Taxpayers swarm capitol, launch massive tea party Posted: September 09, 2009 ~ 8:45 pm Eastern By Chelsea Schilling © 2009 WorldNetDailyJust one day after President Obama plans tries to recapture the initiative in the health-care debate with a speech to a joint session of Congress, thousands of taxpayers plan to storm Washington, D.C., in a three-day event to take their fight against excessive spending, bailouts, growth of big government and soaring deficits to the front door of the U.S. Capitol. In a major movement unaffiliated with – but inspired by – Fox News' Glenn Beck's 9-12 Project, called the National Taxpayer Protest, thousands of Americans are answering the call and traveling to make their voices heard at Capitol Hill. Sept. 10 marks the kickoff of the three-day march on Washington. Brendan Steinhauser of FreedomWorks, one of the groups organizing the Sept. 12 event, told WND, "We're expecting a huge gathering at the Washington, D.C., armory in the morning, and we'll talk about bailouts, cap and trade and health care. The feedback has been great. It's been phenomenal. Everybody wants to be a part of the event, and it's exciting." [CLICK HERE TO READ ENTIRE STORY]
