Do we deserve this? ~ By Pat Boone

From WorldNetDaily
Pat BooneBy Pat Boone Posted: August 22, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Here's a personal maxim gleaned from long years of experience, observation and active participation in the politics of our beloved country: In voting and political involvement, we get either what we need – or what we deserve. By that, I mean that if we the people stay informed, stay active and involved, and prayerfully exercise our constitutional power to vote like-minded representatives into government, we can have what we need. If, on the other hand, we become lethargic, apathetic, uninformed (even ignorant) about the issues confronting us; if we choose to "leave it to George" to sort out the best candidates and their positions, their leanings and integrity; if we even fail to vote and otherwise be involved in the electoral process – we will most certainly get what we deserve. We won't like it; we'll rail and complain and ask, "How could this happen?" But we'll be stuck with the consequences of our irresponsibility. Right now, we're getting a big, big dose of what we deserve. [READ ENTIRE COLUMN!]
MY NOTE: This is one of Pat Boone's absolute best columns! This is a must read! He's right, we got what we deserve. Well, some of us did... But, I didn't vote for B. Insane Obama. I knew he was a Socialist/Marxist/Communist. I knew about Obama's links to ACORN. I was informed. Just sayin'.... Pat Boone ended this column with the following wisdom:
Just today, I read Proverbs 21:22: "The wise conquer the city of the strong and level the fortress in which they (the strong) trust." From the fortress of the Democrat "strong," we heard a chant we thought was "CHANGE! CHANGE! CHANGE!" Now, as we listen closer, we're recognizing that it's "CHAINS! CHAINS! CHAINS!" If we the people are wise, we'll mobilize and level the fortress – while we can.

The Gates of babble-on ~ By Doug Powers

Doug PowersBy Doug Powers Posted: July 27, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Years ago, I worked at a grocery store, and at the end of each day part of my job was to go into the office, balance the tills and prepare the evening's bank deposit. One particularly slow evening, I decided to flip through the job applications that were filed in a cabinet below the desk. One in particular has stuck in my head all these years. On one of the completed applications, someone – I assume it was the store manager – had written in marker, "No! Black." This was back in '90. No, not 1890 – but 1990. That personal brush with racism has always served as a reminder for me that real obstacles still exist for a whole lot of people, and why such skepticism still exists. This is why "race pimps" in America need to be confronted and exposed as frauds and counter to the cause for which they claim to be fighting. The mugshot of Professor Henry GatesMy optimism for the future of race relations in the United States took a hit last week when even the president of the United States got in on the act by assuming that the officer who arrested Harvard professor Henry Gates "acted stupidly." Obama then went into a diatribe about race relations in America, implying that the arrest was racially motivated and an exercise in profiling – because hey, all white people profile. All indications are that the officer wanted to make sure the home belonged to Gates for his own safety after a neighbor called the police to report a burglary, and Gates, who apparently has a bigger chip on his shoulder than an ant carrying a Dorito, wasn't playing along. According to the police report, Gates was also upset that the officers didn't recognize him. Since when did university professors start thinking they're Madonna? In any case, President Obama has invited Henry Gates and officer Crowley over for a beer, because everybody knows that any racial dispute can be defused by adding alcohol to the situation – it's just common sense. Crowley, to my knowledge, has yet to accept the invitation. In the name of helping end all racial bias, I hope officer Crowley does not accept the invitation, because to do so would be tantamount to an admission of guilt to a charge of racism. This much is certain: Crowley isn't being invited over to be the recipient of an apology or even to engage in meaningful dialog – but for an intervention, community organizer-style. Watch out, Fox News: Obama can swat flies

From TheREALjohnny2k youtube channel Do not worry, Iran and North Korea. We know who the flies are that Obama wants to swat. Apparently, it isn't the little flies that want to "bite us". No, it is the little flies that keeping buzzing around Obama's head. That would be the alternative media, such as Fox News,WorldNetDaily or Conservative talk radio and bloggers, that aren't getting with the program (falling in line).

The audacity of violence ~ By Roger Hedgecock

By Roger Hedgecock Posted: June 15, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 You can feel the tension in the air everywhere in America these early summer days. Savings have eroded, plans for retirement have evaporated, 6.8 million Americans are out of work, and the rest of us are more uncertain about our jobs now than ever before. Business is bad, and many familiar businesses are failing. "Inflation"? "Deflation"? I don't know. What I do know is that prices for things I buy – food, gas, utilities – are going up. One U.S. dollar in 2000 is worth 70 cents in 2009. But it's feels worse than that, worse than a "recession." The Obama government is changing the rules. It's promising that the government can borrow (or print) trillions of dollars to solve problems caused by trillions of dollars of past bad debt. It's promising that good times will return if the government takes over the banking system, gives the auto industry to the UAW, appoints a "czar" to determine how much we can be paid in our jobs, stops all drilling for oil and raises taxes to take over health care. Beyond our shores doesn't look too good either; the bad guys are ascendant. "Peace through strength" won the Cold War. Will "peace through apology" win the war militant Islam has declared against us? Will the new "Why can't we all just get along?" foreign policy keep us safe from North Korea's nuclear missiles? The tension in America has broken out in violence over the last few weeks. An American Muslim convert who sought training in a jihad camp in Yemen drives by a Navy-Army recruiting office in Little Rock, Ark., and shoots and kills Pvt. William Long, standing on the sidewalk. The assassin denies it's murder because Allah told him to kill members of the U.S. armed forces in retaliation for the U.S. killing Muslims. The jihad against America has come home to America again, and what is worse is Obama's FBI knew he was a jihadist and let it happen. A "pro-life" activist shoots and kills the abortionist Dr. George Tiller in his Wichita church. The killer denies it's murder because he's just defending the babies who would have been aborted if the doctor continued his abortions. A "white supremacist" 88-year-old walks into the Holocaust museum in Washington, D.C., and shoots and kills museum guard Stephan T. Johns, who had opened the door to assist him. The violence has been taken by the Obama government media as a signal to advance the agenda. (This was the same week that Newsweek Managing Editor Evan Thomas described the president as "like some kind of God.") Remember Rahm Emanuel's disclosure that every crisis is an opportunity to advance the agenda. [CONTINUE READING]

Why Obama scares me, too ~ By Chuck Norris

By Chuck Norris Posted: June 15, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 The New York Times missed the opportunity to publish a great op-ed letter to President Obama from Lou Pritchett, a former vice president of Procter & Gamble who worked for that company for 36 years until his retirement in 1989. So I thought I'd give his letter a little press through my syndicated column, and add a few more thoughts of my own. Mr. Pritchett confirmed via Snopes that he was the author of the "open letter to President Obama": "I did write the 'you scare me' letter. I sent it to the NY Times but they never acknowledged or published it." I think you'll readily see why any Left-leaning newspaper won't run it. Here's a copy:

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me. You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you. You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America, and culturally you are not an American. You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll. You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core. You scare me because you lack humility and "class," always blaming others. You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail. You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the "blame America" crowd and deliver this message abroad. You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector. You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one. You scare me because you prefer "wind mills" to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves. You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world. You scare me because you have begun to use "extortion" tactics against certain banks and corporations. You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals. You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people. You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient. You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do. You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O'Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view. You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing. Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years. Lou Pritchett

Thank you, Mr. Pritchett, for your love for America, honesty and willingness to risk your reputation by speaking up to this administration. [CONTINUE READING]

Obama fires watchdog who barked at his crony ~ By Drew Zahn

Rush Limbaugh calls action illegal, 'bigger' than Alberto Gonzales fray By Drew Zahn Posted: June 13, 2009 7:25 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily Inspector General Gerald Walpin Former Inspector General Gerald Walpin filed two reports exposing gross misappropriation of federal AmeriCorps funds by a prominent Barack Obama supporter and was shortly thereafter fired by the White House, circumstances he told WND are likely linked and others have called an outright illegal action by the administration. "I think you have to look at the facts and the circumstances and reach your conclusions," Walpin said in a WND interview. "I will tell you that [my firing] came only after we had issued those two reports to Congress, and I don't think that's a coincidence." Further, Walpin said, "I am convinced that I and my office are not guilty of any impropriety. In essence, I was fired for doing my job." Independent, federal inspectors general are supposed to be granted special protection from political interference – thanks in part to a law co-sponsored by the then-Senator Barack Obama – to ensure that they are free to investigate waste and fraud uninfluenced by political cronyism. But after Walpin dared to push for action against the St. HOPE Academy program – run by Obama supporter and former NBA star Kevin Johnson – which had misappropriated hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal AmeriCorps funds, he nonetheless found himself fired by the White House under circumstances that have led some to wonder if Obama has violated his own co-sponsored law in retaliation. "There are two big questions about the president's actions," writes Byron York, chief political correspondent for the Washington Examiner. "One, why did he decide to fire Walpin? And two, did he abide by the law that he himself co-sponsored?" Conservative radio talk-host Rush LimbaughRadio talk host Rush Limbaugh fired off an answer to York's questions on his program yesterday: "Firing an inspector general is a big deal. If you'll remember, Alberto Gonzales as attorney general fired a couple of U.S. attorneys. He took hell for it. This is bigger. Inspectors general are supposed to be completely above politics," Limbaugh commented. "This is big. This is political cronyism, power and so forth. … I'm telling you, firing an I.G., because they're not political, it is a much bigger deal than replacing United States attorneys." Furthermore, Limbaugh stated, the unusual circumstances surrounding the night before Walpin's dismissal constitutes a clear violation of the very law Obama helped to pass as a senator. "The Obama administration did it overnight," Limbaugh stated. "[It] broke the law firing the AmeriCorps I.G." [CONTINUE READING]
