The audacity of violence ~ By Roger Hedgecock

By Roger Hedgecock Posted: June 15, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 You can feel the tension in the air everywhere in America these early summer days. Savings have eroded, plans for retirement have evaporated, 6.8 million Americans are out of work, and the rest of us are more uncertain about our jobs now than ever before. Business is bad, and many familiar businesses are failing. "Inflation"? "Deflation"? I don't know. What I do know is that prices for things I buy – food, gas, utilities – are going up. One U.S. dollar in 2000 is worth 70 cents in 2009. But it's feels worse than that, worse than a "recession." The Obama government is changing the rules. It's promising that the government can borrow (or print) trillions of dollars to solve problems caused by trillions of dollars of past bad debt. It's promising that good times will return if the government takes over the banking system, gives the auto industry to the UAW, appoints a "czar" to determine how much we can be paid in our jobs, stops all drilling for oil and raises taxes to take over health care. Beyond our shores doesn't look too good either; the bad guys are ascendant. "Peace through strength" won the Cold War. Will "peace through apology" win the war militant Islam has declared against us? Will the new "Why can't we all just get along?" foreign policy keep us safe from North Korea's nuclear missiles? The tension in America has broken out in violence over the last few weeks. An American Muslim convert who sought training in a jihad camp in Yemen drives by a Navy-Army recruiting office in Little Rock, Ark., and shoots and kills Pvt. William Long, standing on the sidewalk. The assassin denies it's murder because Allah told him to kill members of the U.S. armed forces in retaliation for the U.S. killing Muslims. The jihad against America has come home to America again, and what is worse is Obama's FBI knew he was a jihadist and let it happen. A "pro-life" activist shoots and kills the abortionist Dr. George Tiller in his Wichita church. The killer denies it's murder because he's just defending the babies who would have been aborted if the doctor continued his abortions. A "white supremacist" 88-year-old walks into the Holocaust museum in Washington, D.C., and shoots and kills museum guard Stephan T. Johns, who had opened the door to assist him. The violence has been taken by the Obama government media as a signal to advance the agenda. (This was the same week that Newsweek Managing Editor Evan Thomas described the president as "like some kind of God.") Remember Rahm Emanuel's disclosure that every crisis is an opportunity to advance the agenda. [CONTINUE READING]

Character assassin Olbermann ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah © 2009 Frankly, I can't believe this guy is still on the air. Keith Olbermann, that is. But then again, is he really? If you host a nightly program built around character assassination, partisan smears, predictable ideological tripe, party-line goose-stepping and self-important, self-righteous political correctness and nobody but the gang at Daily Kos and the Huffington Post watches, are you really on the air? I don't like to spend too much time discussing the outrages of Keith Olbermann. For the most part, he's pretty irrelevant – toiling away at a cable network that continues to lose viewership even from its hard-core base of those suffering from what V.I. Lenin characterized as "infantile left-wing disorder." Nevertheless, for the great masses who don't watch MSNBC, I think it's important you know what Olbermann did last week: He blamed the Fox News Channel for the murder of late-term abortionist George Tiller. Missing from Tiller's eulogy: The A-word ~ By Jill Stanek

By Jill Stanek © 2009 Of everything I read about the June 6 funeral of late-term abortionist George Tiller, I thought this was the most telling, from the New York Times:
But for the most part, Dr. Tiller's funeral focused less on his work than on his life with his family and friends. The word abortion was never uttered. ...
Clearly they all knew: Tiller was murdered for his "life's" work, but the reason was unmentionable? Sad. Even in death George Tiller's "vocation" was anathema. Imagine eulogizing anyone else murdered for a cause without extolling that for which they were slain. [Continue reading] Digg story

The lying non-entity ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah © 2009 I admit it. Two columns in a row about a lying non-entity is a bit much. But sometimes it's necessary to get down in the gutter with the likes of Keith Olbermann to set the record straight. After all, there are at least a dozen or so people who watch this cretin and believe what he says. I predict, with some assurance, more people will watch him below than on his MSNBC show. But at least here, he will be shown for the deceiver he truly is.
Notice the offense for which WND columnist Jill Stanek is honored with the "Worst Person in the World" award. It is for publishing the names and addresses of the two surviving late-term abortionists in America following George Tiller's murder. Having previously indicted the Fox News Channel for complicity in Tiller's murder, Olbermann attempts to persuade his viewers to believe WND and Stanek are enticing other assassins to some kind of late-term abortionist final solution. There's just one problem with Olbermann's thesis. Neither WND nor Stanek has ever published the addresses of these scalpel-wielding fiends who publish their own addresses in advertisements for their bloody services all over the World Wide Web. Ready to be a 'Stepford citizen'? ~ By Patrice Lewis

By Patrice Lewis Posted: June 06, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 I live in the land of stereotypes. What do I mean by this? Well, when we first told friends we were moving to north Idaho, some were genuinely puzzled. "Why do you want to move to where there are white supremacists?" one asked. There are approximately a million and a half people who live in Idaho. One jerk attempted to start an Aryan Nation compound near Coeur d'Alene in the early '80s and after many years recruited as many as 300 followers – and a huge number who opposed him (the movement eventually died off, both literally and figuratively). Now all 1,500,000 residents of the entire state are automatically branded as white supremacists simply for living in Idaho. See the logic here? Thanks to the media's constant panting for shocking news (and their own political agenda), one bad apple has spoiled the entire barrel. Now we have a mentally ill man gunning down late-term abortionist George Tiller in cold blood. Thanks to the media's constant panting for shocking news (and their own political agenda), now all conservatives who oppose abortion are locked, loaded and ready to open fire. Terrific. The right-hand segment of this country believes we are heading in a profoundly leftist and terrible direction. But what is the best method to reverse course and revert to the ideals of our Founding Fathers? Is it to gun down abortion doctors? Is it to blow up federal buildings in the Midwest? Of course not. No sane person believes these tactics to be effective. Only the unstable think this kind of violence is the best means to achieve an end. [Continue reading]

What was Tiller doing in church? ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah Posted: June 04, 2009 © 2009 Joseph Farah Now that all responsible people have had the opportunity to denounce the murder of abortionist George Tiller in his Wichita church on Sunday, maybe it's time to raise a question about this tragedy. What was George Tiller, notorious late-term abortionist, doing in church any way? Not only was he in attendance, reports indicate he was a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church. Not only was he a member of the church, reports indicate he was an usher. Not only was he an usher, reports indicate his wife was in the choir. It makes me wonder what is going on in the church in America where someone with such an openly, public anti-Christian record can find a home without conviction, without repentance, without condemnation and finally disfellowship. Whatever happened to the idea that we as the Christian body are not knowingly to allow open sin into our tent? The Bible is replete with judgments when God's people make that mistake. I suspect many would say I'm being harsh. I suspect many reading this would say the church is supposed to be open to all – given that we are all sinners. I suspect many would point to Jesus as an example for this kind of tolerance and suggest the churches would be empty if not for the sinners in the pews. But I don't think Tiller's pastor did his congregant any favors by providing him with a church that did not require him, at some point, to follow God's laws. I think the torture and killing of fully developed human babies for profit would definitely qualify as falling well short of the mark and behavior in need of correction. [Continue reading]

Sebelius mocks abortion law - By Jack Cashill

Phill Kline, former Atty General of Kansas, was trying to enforce the law that he had helped to write as a State Representative. Dr. George Tiller ("The Killer") was doing many late term abortions. Kline tried to subpoena the patient records, and began a descent into a hell that Governor Kathleen Sebelius helped keep on high broil. read more | digg story

Kansas exiles abortion-busting DA - by Jack Cashill

Today, in Washington, D.C., on the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Phill Kline will be joining thousands of other protesters in the annual March For Life. Kline was the AG of Kansas, who was fighting against abortionist Dr. George Tiller of Wichita. Kline could have had a successful political career had he not chosen to fight late-term abortion.
