Calling tea-party people racist is a S.I.N. ~ By Herman Cain

Since this column was posted early Monday morning (7/21/10), there has been another episode supposedly concerning racism and the NAACP. Only this time, it was turned around, and it didn't quite work out the way it all started. Andrew Breitbart of BigGovernment.com had released a tape of a USDA worker, Shirley Sherrod, speaking at an NAACP meeting. It turned out to be only part of the story, though. Racist remarks were shown in the first video released, but it turned out to be totally out of context. Acting without all of the facts, Ms. Sherrod was forced to resign. Below is a video I am including from a segment on Glenn Beck's show on Tuesday, July 20, which will help to explain what happened:

Isn't it strange how things work out? In this column, Herman Cain explains why the NAACP was calling the Tea Party Movement racist, even though they never had any evidence that the movement was racist whatsoever. And last Friday (Jul 16), Patrick Buchanan had this to say about why the NAACP was accusing the Tea Party of being racist: "Rescuing itself from the obscurity it richly deserves, the NAACP has found a way back onto the front page: Accuse the tea-party movement of harboring racists."

Is this starting to make sense yet? Well, the NAACP sure found a way to put it all in perspective with the Shirley Sherrod debacle, as did the White House. In their rush to show themselves as not being racist, they forced Sherrod to resign, before they learned that the comments shown in the original video was out of context. They all acted "stupidly," you might say, where they acted before they had all of the information, the same thing Obama had accused the Cambridge cop with doing in the arrest of Henry Louis Gates, Jr. (and another situation where Obama spoke before knowing the whole context of what had happened). Maybe it's time to just put race behind us, and that needs to include not accusing the tea party with being racist. Just sayin'...

Tea-party people are not racist. They are patriotic Americans who want the greatest country in the world to remain the greatest country in the world. We are exercising our right to speak out against bad public policy, even if the president is black.

This isn't about race. This is about results, and the results by this administration and this Congress are missing in action.

The NAACP has lost its relevance and its way forward. That's a sin.

The NAACP is doing the dirty work for the failed policies of the Obama administration and the congressional Democrats. Accusing the tea-party movement as being racist shifts (S) the attention from the mishandling of the Gulf oil tragedy, the failed $862 billion stimulus-spending bill, the lack of private-sector job growth and an economy stuck on stalled.

The NAACP's accusation also shifts attention away from the problems in the black community, which they ignore (I) in their name-calling (N) rhetoric, such as increased high-school dropout rates, increased incarceration rates, increased out-of-wedlock birthrates and unemployment rates among blacks that are 50 percent higher than the national average.

Although my invitation to the NAACP annual convention in Kansas City got lost in the mail, I suspect there were plenty of speeches blaming George W. Bush and greedy capitalists for those problems.

When NAACP spokeswoman Leila McDowell says "hardcore white-supremacist organizations have participated in and occasionally lead tea-party rallies," the mainstream lapdog media jump all over such a blatantly baseless claim. When asked what the claim was based on, she said academic research on the tea-party movement.

Of the nearly two dozen tea-party rallies at which I have been a keynote speaker, I have yet to see or hear of anyone doing a survey, poll or research asking attendees if they were white supremacists. Nor has any of the tea-party organizers indicated that such research was ever requested or being done.

Although it was not a scientific test, at a Georgia tea-party event I attended July 16, which included a live broadcast of my radio show, I asked all of the white supremacists and KKK members to raise their hands. There were none. When I asked a show of hands of all the people who want the big-government spending to stop, the legislative abuse to stop and the coming tax increases to be stopped, more than 3,000 attendees almost cheered the roof off the place!

Since there have been thousands of tea-party and citizen rallies across the country beginning in early 2009, those researchers obviously attended the ones I did not attend. I would love to see the research, or hear or see one audio or video clip of a tea-party speaker uttering one racist word. It does not exist!

Black Panthers: Obama's latest Rev. Wright ~ By Jerome Corsi

Jerome Corsi explains in his column that President Obama now has connections with the New Black Panther Party to deal with. Will he now throw these NBPP guys under the bus? These were the guys that were allowed the pass for the voter intimidation case in Philadelphia because Eric Holder's DOJ refused to prosecute an open-and-shut case. These are the guys preaching that blacks should kill "crackers" and their babies.

In the video below, you can see the racism of the New Black Panther Party at 1:24 into the video:

July 13, 2010 - Dana Loesch on Fox and Friends

Video provided by TheREALjohnny2k

So, can it still be said that "President Obama is intent on playing a transformational role in making race a nonissue in America?" It sure doesn't look that way, does it? Just sayin'...

Clearly, a "beer summit" at the White House is out, especially when it comes to entertaining Malik Zulu Shabazz, the New Black Panther Party's national chairman.

But there is a deeper question here.

Can Eric Holder's Justice Department tolerate the intimidation of white voters by a black racist organization and still allow progressives to maintain that President Obama is intent on playing a transformational role in making race a nonissue in America?

A race uniter or a race divider?

Which will President Obama be?

Unfortunately for the White House, the New Black Panther Party is quickly becoming Obama's next case of Rev. Wright, or possibly his sequel to the Professor Gates controversy.

Barack Obama's association with the New Black Panther Party has cast renewed doubt on his ability to be a transformative president capable of leading the nation into a new dimension where race in America is no longer divisive.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, a user-generated posting by the New Black Panther Party on the official Obama '08 website was taken down, but only after it generated controversy.
"We removed the user-generated blog post because we don't condone any group that advocates violence," Obama presidential campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor told the Washington Times on March 20, 2008, explaining why the post was removed. "Sen. Obama gave a 37-minute speech about race [Tuesday], and we hope people will focus on that and not what one individual posted on a blog."

Vietor explained that BarackObama.com allowed supporters to set up their own blog pages and that the website at that time included more than 1 million pages.

The New Black Panther Party posting as an Obama fan on the campaign website was clearly polarizing, drawing at the time the criticism of yet another racial extremist in the person of David Duke, the Louisiana former state representative who discredited himself as an outspoken white supremacist and former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.

"Now that Obama has a real chance to be president and needs white support, he claims to condemn Rev. Wright," Duke wrote on his website March 25, 2008. "In fact, Obama's official website even welcomes the support of a racist, communist black organization such as the Black Panthers, an organization with a long history of violence against white Americans."

The point is not that David Duke is right. Clearly, Duke's racism demands to be condemned just as does the racism of the New Black Panther Party.

The point is that instead of making race a nonissue, President Obama's record is that he polarizes race issues, perhaps because deep down he intellectually agrees with the radical polemics he admits in his autobiography were his intellectual pillars growing up – including antiwhite firebrands such as Malcolm X and Frantz Fanon.

The question becomes increasingly relevant as evidence continues to come out supporting the contention that the Department of Justice under Eric Holder is anything but color-blind.

The issue of the New Black Panther Party has the potential to dog Barack Obama, much as the Rev. Wright issue did during the 2008 campaign and the Professor Gates controversy did in the first months of his presidency.

In recent days, the resurfacing on the Internet of the New Black Panther Party post on the Obama '08 website has raised the question whether the New Black Panther Party's campaign support in delivering votes for Obama in 2008 may be a reason the administration does not want to prosecute the group on federal charges of intimidating white voters.

The blood libels against 'birthers' ~ By Joseph Farah

Josepb Farah
By Joseph Farah Posted: August 07, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 When I was interviewed by the BBC last week about my campaign to find the truth about Barack Obama's eligibility for office, I told the interviewer I believed a clear majority of Americans now were deeply suspicious he is hiding something more than a birth certificate. The interviewer didn't dispute that. But she asked me if that could be the result of latent racism by the American people. Latent racism? The American people voted to elect Barack Hussein Obama by a slim but clear majority. The only evidence of racism in that election was among black voters who cast 95 percent of their ballots for Obama. The white candidate received only 51 percent of the white vote. I guess now we're supposed to believe that in the last eight months, white Americans have reverted to their old racist ways again. Now they're trying to rid themselves of the black guy they mistakenly elected last November by coming up with an excuse. I will admit the BBC interviewer was polite and respectful. She didn't directly accuse me – the de facto ringleader of the "birther" movement – of having racist motivations. But others are painting with a pretty broad brush. They say "birthers," those who actually care about the integrity of the Constitution, are not only racist, they are cognitively deaf, dumb and blind, out of touch with reality and akin to flat-earthers. Take, for example, the New York Times blogger Stanley Fish – please! In a piece ostensibly about how professor Henry Louis Gates was right and Obama was right and the stupid Cambridge cop was wrong, he explained the motivation for all of us seeking the truth about the birthplace of Barack Obama is pure, unadulterated bigotry. He talked about the way Chris Matthews of MSNBC waved a copy of Obama's phony birth certificate in the air for several nights running, demanding: "What do you guys want? How can you keep saying these things in the face of all evidence?" "He missed the point," explained Fish. "No evidence would be sufficient. … It isn't the legitimacy of Obama's birth certificate that's the problem for the birthers. The problem is again the legitimacy of a black man living in a big house, especially when it's the White House. Just as some in … Cambridge couldn't believe that Gates belonged in the neighborhood, so does a vocal minority find it hard to believe that an African-American could possibly be the real president of the United States. "Gates and Obama are not only friends; they are in the same position, suspected of occupying a majestic residence under false pretenses," he continued. "And Obama is a double offender. Not only is he guilty of being Housed While Black; he is the first in American history guilty of being P.W.B., President While Black." No, I think Fish misses the point. [CONTINUE READING]

Jihad, USA ~ By Oliver North

By Oliver North Posted: July 31, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 GEORGETOWN, S.C. – They don't look like al-Qaida terrorists. Their photos in the local newspaper look menacing enough – but more like a crew that might knock over a convenience store or an ATM at a gas station. Their apprehension this week by FBI agents in Raleigh, N.C., has their neighbors here talking about "homegrown jihadis" and has prompted the O-Team Department of Homeland Security to warn about "American extremists" once again. The seven men were arrested Monday, the same day President Barack Obama tendered his much-acclaimed invitation to Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates and Cambridge, Mass., police Sgt. James Crowley to sit down over a beer and talk about the serious problem of racism in America. The president, who claimed that the police behaved "stupidly" in detaining the professor, apparently considers "racism" to be a more serious problem than Americans being recruited to commit acts of terror. Our nation's chief executive, consumed with preparations for his "beer summit," was as mute about the "North Carolina Seven" – all charged with conspiring to provide material support to terrorists overseas – as he was about the fraudulent elections in Iran. Perhaps that's because he doesn't want to alarm the public about a real and present danger – or because he was involved so personally in choosing just the right brews for himself and his guests. For those who care, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs says that POTUS prefers Bud Light; professor Gates is a fan of Jamaican Red Stripe; and Sgt. Crowley tips back with Blue Moon. One can only ponder what this revelation will mean for sales of these suds. What is certain is that Daniel Patrick Boyd – the alleged ringleader of the Raleigh terror cell – and his fellow "jihadis" are unlikely to be tippling anytime soon, even if they want to. In the 14-page federal indictment unsealed Monday, Boyd and his six "colleagues" are charged with plotting to murder, kidnap and maim individuals overseas. Prosecutors maintain that Boyd – who goes by the name "Saifullah," meaning "sword of Allah" – is a "veteran of terrorist training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan" and that he recruited his sons and other U.S. citizens to travel overseas for waging "violent jihad." An eighth conspirator is being sought in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The seven-count indictment details a conspiracy that commenced in 2006 and continued until just before the arrests. It alleges that the defendants trained for battle in the U.S., planned to die as "martyrs," and raised funds to support their training and recruit others to their cause overseas. It also accuses Boyd of taking one of his sons to Gaza in March 2006 to introduce the young man to individuals who "believed that violent jihad was a religious obligation." A year later, Boyd and several of the other defendants apparently went to Israel in an unsuccessful effort to wage jihad. [CONTINUE READING]

Beer, Obubba and the dictator's dream ~ By Erik Rush

By Erik Rush Posted: July 30, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 The Cambridge, Mass., police couldn't have stumbled upon a more unfortunate individual with whom to have a run-in. Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. is a friend of President Obama. He is also the director of Harvard's W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African-American Research – which probably translates into his being one of the "Marxist professors" with whom Obama admits he went out of his way to align himself while in college, according to his book "Dreams From My Father." You'll have to forgive me (well, actually, you don't) if the fact that the 58-year-old Gates is considered one of America's pre-eminent black scholars, and that he was once noted as one of Time magazine's most influential people don't impress. As such, I don't see him as being any more than an agent of the negrophiliac social convention that keeps black Americans resentful, desperate, ignorant, impoverished and – oh, yes – voting for progressives. It's also the same convention that got Obama elected, while we're at it. It would only be fair to bring us all up to speed before I explain the irrelevance of the Gates issue to the American people compared to what's really going on here (while acknowledging that race relations remains a contentious issue in America, of course): On July 16, professor Gates was arrested for disorderly conduct at his home after Cambridge, Mass., police contacted him there, responding to a call about a possible home invasion. When queried, Gates began screaming about being profiled as a criminal because he was "a black man in America," accusing the police of racism, and being profoundly uncooperative. Hence the arrest. When police officials discovered who Gates was (regarding his position and credentials), they recommended the charges be dropped against him – but it was already too late. Not only was Gates shrieking to anyone who would listen respecting the "racist treatment" he had received from police, but his buddy, President Obama, had weighed in with his own Anglophobic, anti-law enforcement drivel, declaring that the police had acted "stupidly."
Okay, the above was the background of Erik's story, but the heart of what was going on doesn't really get said until towards the end of the column:
By the end of last week, Obama's statement had become the media story due to the outcry from outraged police agencies the nation over, so much so that he was compelled to hold a press conference to address the issue. Why? Because he is trying to get his communistic so-called health care bill passed; this has dwindling support, and his own poll numbers are dropping. Communistic, you say? Quite so – and this is why the Gates matter has become a smokescreen. Obama needs all of the political capital he has to get this atrocity passed. Right now, everything is about the bill, which is chock-full of provisions that will place government control over the lives of every American. Health care is but a pretext; this bill is a dictator's dream. Read it for yourself. As he explained his stupid "stupidly" remark away during the Friday press conference, Obama reminded us that black Americans are "sensitive" apropos the police and racism. On that point, he is correct; today, it is largely because of people like him and all of the other race-baiting, influential blacks for whom perpetuating the myth of America being a racist nation has been an imperative for decades. Now, in the interest of his image, Obama the peacemaker gwine have himself a sit-down with the professor and the cop and get all bubbafied over a beer. Just tugs at my heart-strings something fierce. But make no mistake. It's all about the bill. [emphasis mine] [READ COMPLETE COLUMN]

The Gates of babble-on ~ By Doug Powers

Doug PowersBy Doug Powers Posted: July 27, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Years ago, I worked at a grocery store, and at the end of each day part of my job was to go into the office, balance the tills and prepare the evening's bank deposit. One particularly slow evening, I decided to flip through the job applications that were filed in a cabinet below the desk. One in particular has stuck in my head all these years. On one of the completed applications, someone – I assume it was the store manager – had written in marker, "No! Black." This was back in '90. No, not 1890 – but 1990. That personal brush with racism has always served as a reminder for me that real obstacles still exist for a whole lot of people, and why such skepticism still exists. This is why "race pimps" in America need to be confronted and exposed as frauds and counter to the cause for which they claim to be fighting. The mugshot of Professor Henry GatesMy optimism for the future of race relations in the United States took a hit last week when even the president of the United States got in on the act by assuming that the officer who arrested Harvard professor Henry Gates "acted stupidly." Obama then went into a diatribe about race relations in America, implying that the arrest was racially motivated and an exercise in profiling – because hey, all white people profile. All indications are that the officer wanted to make sure the home belonged to Gates for his own safety after a neighbor called the police to report a burglary, and Gates, who apparently has a bigger chip on his shoulder than an ant carrying a Dorito, wasn't playing along. According to the police report, Gates was also upset that the officers didn't recognize him. Since when did university professors start thinking they're Madonna? In any case, President Obama has invited Henry Gates and officer Crowley over for a beer, because everybody knows that any racial dispute can be defused by adding alcohol to the situation – it's just common sense. Crowley, to my knowledge, has yet to accept the invitation. In the name of helping end all racial bias, I hope officer Crowley does not accept the invitation, because to do so would be tantamount to an admission of guilt to a charge of racism. This much is certain: Crowley isn't being invited over to be the recipient of an apology or even to engage in meaningful dialog – but for an intervention, community organizer-style. Obama's New Friend ~ By Kevin Jackson

By Kevin Jackson of The Black Sphere Friday, July 24, 2009 Henry Louis Gates Jr. mugshotI find it hard to believe that Obama would dedicate so much time at a press conference to discuss a matter between Cambridge police and an elitist racist Democrat—this one happens to be black. I guess when your press conference on healthcare is a disaster, you look for any man-made disaster that offers deflection from your own. Reinforcng to me that Harvard degrees make good toilet paper, Professor Gates portrayed his ignorance and in the typical Harvard arrogance that has become all too familiar to America during the Era of Brown Underwear. If I were president of Harvard or of alumni association, I would start sending out communiques that say, “Everybody just shut up!” You can only run so long on the momentum of past excellence. Is civility on the curricula at Harvard? If it is, Gates skipped that lecture series. So when confronted at his home by an officer of the law there to protect Gates’ own property, Gates decided to exercise his right to be a pompous Harvard ass. Gates didn’t like that a lowly police officer—a white one at that—was attempting to question him in his own home, despite the fact that Gates was witnessed by neighbors “jimmying” his way in. Nothing suspicious about that! As for the confrontation, it likely went something like this: Cop: Sir, I’m going to need you to put your hands up. I’m responding to a possible break-in at this residence. Elitist: This is MY house, Cracker! Cop: Sir, I will need to see some ID. Elitist: I’m a PROFESSOR at HARVARD and a friend of the PRESIDENT. What, you don’t think a BLACK man can own a NICE home? Did I mention HARVARD?! Why are you YELLING at me, white boy?!! Cop: Sir, we can get this resolved quickly, if I can just see some ID, and… Elitist: I don’t have to show you anything in my own home, whitey! I teach at Harvard. You’re trespassing. I could make one phone call, and you will be on the streets, homeless! Do you know who you are f#$&ing with? A Harvard professor and last remaining friend of Obama!! Did i mention that i teach at harvard?!!! And the rest as they say is history. [CONTINUE READING]
