More Insanity in the State Vote Counts Emerge ~ Ep. 1397 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the latest troubling revelations to emerge from the 2020 election out of Michigan, Georgia, and Wisconsin. I also address Arlo. If you haven’t heard of Arlo, you should listen.

I watched this episode just after seeing a video from the Trump Campaign legal team of Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis, speaking at a press conference, so I was pretty fired up!  I even did one of my blog thingies for one of the three videos I saw.

Since I just started following The Dan Bongino Show® in January of this year, the one episode that caught my attention was Dan's explanation of the man dancing alone in the park.  The story isn't about that man dancing alone that everyone was laughing at.  Nope.  The story will always be about the first person that joins the man who's dancing alone.  In many cases, like at the party in the park, it cascades until many people have joined in with the dancing people.  Ladies and gentlemen, it is one of the most important stories that Dan has ever given us, and he touches on it again in this episode.

I never thought that there was any chance that President Donald Trump could possibly lose the election on November 3, 2020.  I still don't.  But at least, I know now, I'm not dancing alone in the park.  The lying Fake News networks are doing their best to make us all think that we are alone, that nobody else believes that there was election fraud on a massive scale.  I have news for them!  You, in the media, you can cut your gaslighting nonsense.  We're on to that ploy!  We're not only on to it, but we're going to probably be shoving it back in your face!  And why do I not fear saying that?  Because, I joined the guy dancing in the park alone, and a lot of other patriots have done the same.  Just go pound sand, you losers that aren't really for Biden, but just want President Trump to lose.  That's a really dumb idea.

Patriots, just a thought for you:  Never let patriots dance alone in the park!

As a favor to the listeners and watchers of the above episode, here is the show about Dancing in the Park for you to watch!  Also, I had included the Dancing in the Park video in a blog I posted on May 7, 2020, called, "Don’t Let These Patriots Dance Alone ~ Ep. 1244 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®"Yes, I did my homework!

BONUS VIDEO:  "Fight back. Start Dancing!: The Dan Bongino Show"

Because I know that Dan Bongino would prefer that I embed the Rumble.com video here, I'm still a little hesitant when it comes to using Rumble's java script embedding code in my blogs.  That is why I'm still using the YouTube embedded video of the episode so you can see it here on this page. However, that being said, here is the link to the video of this episode so that you can watch it on Rumble.com!  Please do that if you can.

The Most Important Show I’ve Done in a While ~ Ep. 1304 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I address the bold decision by President Trump yesterday which could change the election. I also address stunning new data about the real risks, or lack thereof, to teachers from children returning to school. I also address Joe Biden’s devastating plan for the suburbs.
Yep, I know, we're still behind by three episodes here.  You do not know how tempting it is for me to skip ahead and get caught up!  However, that wouldn't be a good thing, especially if any of us miss an episode that could contain valuable information.  And, from what I've learned, there is something for everyone in every episode.  That is kind of how I make my decisions on what parts to write about.  Were you aware of that?  If you have been following this blog, there is no doubt in my mind that you know that.  And you would know that there may be something in Dan's show that means more to you than to me, and vice versa.

With that being said, even after you read my posts, you should watch the whole show if you haven't already.  Heck, maybe it is even better to read what I'm thinking after you watch the whole show, whether you agree or not with what I take away from the episode.  As you probably know by now, Dan has a lot of information packed into each show, and they are broken up into segments that are easy to get to, should you have a link.  What I'm going to try doing from this point on, is give you the links to the segments that I discuss in this blog.  I know how to do that, it's really easy.  And it is even easier for you to click on the link that I provide and go right to that segment or point that I want to emphasize.  Sound cool?  There is only one thing, though, the video will continue to play from the starting point; there's no end point.  You get what I'm saying, right?  You just may watch much more of the episode (maybe again) than you had planned.  That's actually a good thing.

In this episode, there are several blocks that I want emphasize, but the big one is right at the beginning, regarding the three-year old girl that was shot.  Oh, which one?  Dan will tell you how he does a search, and gets multiple results of three year olds that have been shot.  That's right.  And then, the gangland-style shooting in broad daylight in Chicago.  And people (advisors?) were telling the President that he shouldn't send in Federal agents in to help clean up the messes that mayors and local governments have created, all on their own.  The erroneous advice is based on the "Pottery barn theory," which is, "you break it, you own it."  The trouble is, it doesn't apply here, as the cities are already broken.

Now, there's much more, really.  And this segment may be the key takeaway.  If you live in the suburbs and you are a wealthy liberal, here is what is coming your way.  Pay close attention.  What Joe Biden has planned for you may not be for your benefit.

I am really praying that you have seen this complete episode, beginning to end, or that you will.  It truly is an important show.

Agents: Gun-smuggling suspect Hezbollah sympathizer ~ By Grant Rogers

(Photo: Jim Slosiarek/The Gazette)
On March 26 and May 8 authorities searched shipping containers connected to a company called Herz Enterprises, finding 152 guns and thousands of rounds of ammo hidden inside shipments of Bobcat skid loaders.

The hearing shed new light on the DHS investigation into the family, revealing that Ali Herz reportedly confessed after his arrest Tuesday to organizing two shipments of guns to Lebanon in 2014 and another in 2015.

Special agent Daniel Tigges testified that Herz said in an interview that he expected after the third shipment that the group would have netted $380,000 from the smuggling operation.

Tigges said Herz claimed he took half the profits and split the rest with his son, Adam, and brother, Bassem.

"He admitted that he knew it was wrong to ship guns out of the country," he said.
From the Time 2 Escape Editor

While this story covers the who (the four that were arrested), and the where (it happened right here in Cedar Rapids, Iowa), it doesn't cover the "why" or the "what," maybe for good reason. From this story, we only know that many guns and large quantities of ammo were being illegally shipped to Lebanon. We don't know if it was just for profit on the part of the Herz family and others. We also haven't been told here what the ultimate use of the weapons and ammunition could be, and who the ultimate buyers are. It's possible that the Federal agents are keeping that information from the press... or maybe, they don't know, but I really doubt that.

Even if the four that were arrested last week in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, were shipping the weapons and ammunition to Lebanon only because they love all the money they're going to make (they thought, until they got caught), is it still possible that they knew that the weapons would end up in the hands of Hezbollah terrorists? It is surprising to me, actually, that we haven't yet heard of any charges for aiding the enemy. Just sayin'...

Agents: Gun-smuggling suspect Hezbollah sympathizer
By Grant Rogers, The Des Moines Register

May 15, 2015, 10:39 p.m. EDT

From USATODAYcom

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The eldest of four Cedar Rapids family members accused of smuggling firearms into Lebanon is a Hezbollah sympathizer who met with reported members of the terrorist group during a trip abroad, federal agents testified Friday.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard Murphy called six witnesses to paint Ali Afif Al Herz as loyal to the Lebanese-based Shiite militant and political organization. The United States has classified Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

Murphy intended the testimony from agents with the Department of Homeland Security and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to persuade Chief Magistrate Judge Jon Scoles to keep Herz, 50, in county jail while awaiting trial on charges that he and three other family members tried to smuggle hundreds of guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition into Lebanon, hiding it in storage containers.

Clockwise from top left, Adam Ben Ali Al Herz, 22; Ali Afif Al Herz, 50; Sarah Majid Zeaiter, 24 ; and Bassem Afif Herz, 29.

Defense lawyer Anne Laverty accused Murphy of using "distraction and fear tactics" with no supporting evidence that ties Herz to any terrorist group. Herz came to the United States in 1984 for college and gave up on religion after watching decades of strife in Lebanon and the Middle East, she said.

DNC chair: 'We're going to hold the Senate'

Noting close poll numbers in crucial states, she said the Democratic Party's advantages are "superior to the ones that Republicans have."

"When we keep races this close, Democrats win," said Wasserman Schultz.

The upbeat assessment stood in stark contrast to the conclusions drawn by Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus during the same segment.

"Our ground game is whipping their ground game," Priebus said, adding later, "We're going to have a great night."

As written by Conservative Intel on November 3, 2014, "Democrat National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz apparently has no problem waxing quixotic in public pronouncements."

Sure, it is totally okay to denigrate Debbie, she seems to earn the Crazy Lady In the Attic Award for her extremely absurd statement. What was she thinking? Is she not paying attention to any of the polls?  Is she getting desperate because she's trying to save her job?

However, in Conservative Intel, where I first heard about this story, the people that commented on the story have a different theory.  It seems quite cynical in their thinking that there's something sinister going on.
Lewis Clements Sr.:

I am sad to say MS.Debbie Wasserman Schultz is right, "When we keep races this close, Democrats win." Their Voter Fraud always seems to overcome a one to two point lead. BY Hook or Crook!
Barbara Carpenter:

I guess she has an inside track on the voter fraud the Dems continue to perpetrate.
Jeffrey Raum · Atlanta, Georgia:

Democrats will win if the electronic voting machines are allowed! Lie, Cheat, and Steal has always been the Democratic motto! It worked in 2012, with votes being change from R to D on machines in several states. Now it has already showed up in early voting! Why is it these calibration errors only changes Republican vote to Democrat, never the other way around?
Why do you think Obama was taunting the American public about any vote for a Democrat was a vote for his policies? They know it's rigged, and there is nothing that will be done about it!
I am a just a little bit skeptical about the theory that the Democrats will steal the election. Wouldn't that be rather obvious if it actually happened? The polls and pundits seem to indicate a large landslide for the Republicans in this midterm election.

Well... whatever.   But if Debbie Whatshername ends up being right, and all of the close races do end up going in the Democrat direction, there will be a great amount of suspicion, if not downright anger across the country. That wouldn't be why DHS beefed up security at federal facilities last week, would it? Just sayin'...

DNC chair: 'We're going to hold the Senate'
By Elise Viebeck

November 2, 2014

From THE HILL

Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) predicted Sunday that her party would hold the Senate in Tuesday's midterm elections, thanks to its "superior" ground games in critical states.

"I think we're going to hold the Senate," Wasserman Schultz said during an interview with ABC's "This Week." "We have a ground game that I know [the GOP] would take over theirs any day of the week."

Wassermann Schultz also cited the high-level surrogates working with Democratic candidates on the campaign trail, including former President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vice President Biden.

WIFLI Briefing for August 26, 2013 - Police State America?

Reports by bloggers and alternative news sources indicating the build up of a police state in America have been dismissed by mainstream pundits and media as the laughable musings of the paranoid. This is in spite of documentation on video and the observations of ordinary citizens who insist that something very different, and even disconcerting, is happening in our towns and communities across America. ~ Anthony G. Martin, in "Marine colonel blows whistle on build up of police state"
You may now add me to the list of the the "paranoid" bloggers and citizenry out there, but this is not a "laughable musing." In fact, this is the first post I've written since January 2013. It took this story to get me motivated to write again, and I'll tell you why! The thought of a police state in America has always been one of my most terrifying fears!! The fact is, once a government takes over with complete control over our lives, with a militaristic police force to back them up, it could be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to regain our freedom.... Ever!

Though I haven't posted anything here in the last seven months, I have not been idle, nor was I procrastinating. A majority of my time had been spent in working on the Facebook page, johnny2k's America. There was a reason for all the effort that I dedicated to the development of that page.  I have focused on what makes America great, along with what is threatening the freedom we have to keep America great. Along with all that time spent on Facebook, I've done a lot of reading and research - not exactly a scientific study of behavioral statistics or anything - but I arrived on a theory that there is a definite effort by individuals of a certain political ideology, that for some reason, feel that the free American people are a detriment to the global community.  It seems that those people are on the far Left side of the political spectrum.

In this WIFLI Briefing, I will point you to some important facts for you to keep in mind.  There is no way that I can tell you everything in this one journal entry.  That would take a book, if not a volume or series of books.  However, there is information that I think is very important for you to be aware of, and maybe give you a starting point to do your own research.  This is just the proverbial  "pointing you in the right direction" strategy by discussing:
It could possibly be accepted by the American public if we were sure that these things would assure us that we could win the war on international crime-rings, drug cartels, and terrorists.  But unfortunately, there are those of us that don't entirely trust the government, and see what is going here as a convenient way to silence anyone that speaks out against a tyrannical regime. I'm just sayin'...

Welcome to this edition of Time 2 Escape WIFLI Briefing!

What is WIFLI?
You may be wondering what the acronym "WIFLI" means. I started out by calling these issues the Time 2 Escape Daily, but that didn't work out very well. I quickly learned that putting these issues together on a daily basis was a task I was unable to accomplish. To replace "Daily" in the title, I borrowed the acronym WIFLI, which literally means "When I Feel Like It." Putting together a post on this blog WIFLI works much better for my schedule, and for the higher quality of each issue that is eventually published!

Let's start with the article that inspired me to finally post something to this venue after a long absence. In this column, Anthony Martin illustrates a creation of a police state here in America, totally under the radar of the mainstream media.... if you know what I mean.  It is sad that something this serious has to be reported by a New Media commentator like Anthony Martin, or mentioned by an under the radar blogger like me.

Marine colonel blows whistle on build up of police state

Anthony Martin
In 2008 Barack Obama promised on several occasions during the presidential campaign that he would build a domestic army that would rival if not surpass the power of the U.S. military. Most Americans, apparently, did not take him seriously.

That was a gargantuan mistake.

You are going to start asking some questions when you start looking into the "Civilian National Security Force" that Obama talked about before he was even elected. In the following two links to stories, the questions will be answered.

Why is government stockpiling guns, ammo?
From wnd.com ~ By Joseph Farah ~ Published February 2, 2013
Joseph Farah
Is the U.S. government getting ready for a war we don’t know about?

And, if that’s why Washington is stockpiling massive amounts of ammunition (hollow points, by the way), why is Homeland Security doing the buying instead of the Defense Department?

I have some theories.

Many of you will remember a story I broke a long time ago – about presidential candidate Barack Obama’s little-noticed announcement that, if elected in 2008, he wanted to create a “civilian national security force” as big, as strong and as well-funded as the Defense Department.

How Obama murdered the gun culture
Phil Elmore explains what panic buying of ammo has done to supply
From wnd.com ~ By Phil Elmore ~ Published August 7, 2013

Phil Elmore
“Hey, got any .22 ammo?”

It’s a question every gun owner, every recreational shooter, every prepared citizen has trained himself to ask, every time he walks into one of the stores that used to carry the ammunition he needs for his sporting hobbies.

He has been trained to ask this by the sibilant Barack Obama and that grinning idiot, Joe Biden. He has been trained because Obama and Biden don’t want you to own guns. Thanks to the actions of this administration, ammo supplies have dried up. This shortage is felt by everyone who owns a gun and actively trains with it – so much so that we’re now desperately scrambling to find ways to train with guns without actually using any ammunition. (Google “dirt cheap gun training” or “cheap firearms training drills.”)

Here is where it starts getting really weird. On Friday, the 23rd of August 2013, it is reported that a DHS manager that purchases weapons and ammo for DHS has (had) a website that advocates for a civil war. Are things about to go pear shaped (South)?

What I've shown you here, other than the breaking news about the DHS officer that you saw in the video above, this really isn't new information. This blog was providing information about Obama's desire for a Civilian National Security Force even before he was elected - the first time.  But who knew where all of this was leading to? Probably not anything we could call "good news."  I'm just sayin'...

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Thursday, Jan 12, 2012

The blog titles will no longer be saying "Time 2 Escape Daily" until further notice. For now, I'll be naming these posts, "Time to Escape WIFLI..." (WIFLI: When I Feel Like It!). Just wanted to let you know ahead of time that there may be some time gaps on this blog in the next month, and some of them could be lengthy. I just hope that you will check back here often to see if there is anything new. If not, please feel free to browse through previous posts. And if I am out of commission for awhile, which I probably will be, please be patient (while I'm a patient). I'll be itching to get back to work here if there is more than a few days away! I'll be climbing the walls!

I only put up one story today due to the lack of time. I had to actually do some snow removal today! The one story is good enough, just to put together one more piece of the puzzle; laws have been enacted over the last few months that could effectively be used against the people of the United States if needed by the current or future administrations. Some of the laws seem to be even more foreboding than many of the executive orders over the last 10 years. Forget the terrorists. It is almost as if We the People are getting closer to being the new enemy of the State.

Does that work for you? It doesn't for me. I'm just sayin'...

Obama targets Facebook, Twitter, Drudge
DHS collecting data, including 'personally identifiable information'
From WND ~ By Bob Unruh ~ Posted January 11, 2012

Documents have been uncovered revealing the Department of Homeland Security, run by Janet Napolitano under Barack Obama’s direction, is monitoring dozens of popular websites such as Facebook, Twitter, the Drudge Report, the Middle East Media Research Institute, and Jihad Watch, and is collecting “personally identifiable information.”

The documents first were uncovered by Reuters, and have been confirmed as genuine by Washington officials.

A document dated Nov. 15, 2011, and titled “Privacy Compliance Review of the NOC Media Monitoring Initiative” explained the program.

The government, the document said, “monitored publicly available online forums, blogs, public websites, and message boards to collect information used in providing situational awareness and establishing a common operating picture.”

Included in the information collected, the document confirmed, were “limited instances of personally identifiable information.” The data is used by the DHS and other agencies including the U.S. Secret Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. READ MORE

It's the Constitution, stupid! ~ By Henry Lamb

The oath taken by every elected official to uphold and protect the U.S. Constitution are idle words uttered by hypocrites when their next action is to ignore or seek to destroy an essential element of the Constitution. It is the Constitution that created the government that allowed individual people to create a great nation. Deviation from constitutional principles diminishes our government and our nation. Strict adherence to those principles provides the self-correcting mechanisms designed by our founders.

The first lesson every elected official should learn is this: It's the Constitution, stupid!
Henry Lamb explains how there are Progressives that want to take away our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, using the tragedy in Tucson as an excuse. Even after they take the oath to uphold the Constitution, they ignore it as soon as they get into office.

It's the Constitution, stupid!

Sheriff Clarence Dupnik, New York Times' Paul Krugman, Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Rep. Robert Brady and a growing number of progressives are quick to condemn behavior that may be appalling to them, but is a God-given freedom guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

Dupnik and Krugman, of course, were quick to blame the Tucson tragedy on free speech offered by non-progressives that they consider to be "hate speech." Rockefeller says his work would be easier if MSNBC and Fox News were to be shut down. Brady, poor soul, says he does not want to limit free speech – he just wants it to be illegal to use symbols he doesn't like.

New York Rep. Carolyn McCarthy can't let this crisis go to waste; she's introducing new gun-control legislation in hopes of capturing support from the emotion surrounding the Tucson event.

The Constitution is not a document of convenience to be ignored at will and displayed at election time.

about the First Amendment that's so hard to understand? "Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech. …" There is no exception for "hate speech" in the Constitution. There is no definition of "hate speech" in the Constitution. "Hate speech" is the construct of progressives who need a way to control the flow of information that exposes the fallacies of their philosophy.

What's far more dangerous and damaging than anything Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck or any other conservative has said is the irresponsible actions of the Department of Homeland Security when they issued a memo to law-enforcement officials that said there may be a "possible" connection between the Tucson shooter and an organization they labeled as "anti-government, anti-immigration, anti-ZOG (Zionist Occupational Government), anti-Semitic."

When asked by Accuracy in Media, the group's leader, Jared Taylor, said:
"That is complete nonsense. I have absolutely no idea what DHS is talking about. We have never used the term 'ZOG.' We have never thought in those terms. If this is the level of research we are getting from DHS, then Heaven help us."
DHS has backed away from its memo, saying that it has no direct connection or linkage between the Tucson shooter and the group mentioned, but the damage is done. The group's reputation has been damaged beyond recompense. The DHS should be liable for those damages, but will not be held accountable.

Those who ignore the Constitution and persist in their efforts to control speech and guns refuse to recognize that government control of both could not prevent a recurrence of another Tucson-like tragedy. Deranged people who strike out at others are not deterred by laws. Laws only restrain law-abiders. There were plenty of laws in place last week, which the Tucson shooter completely ignored. Anyone who thinks that another law to prohibit free speech or another law to ban guns would have made a difference is just irrational.

Obama spies, freedom dies ~ By Roger Hedgecock

Roger Hedgecock is trying to find out why there's no outrage from the left regarding Obama's abuse of power and the Constitution's 4th Amendment rights. As we know, the liberals' favorite talking points prior to Barack Obama's inauguration was how George W. Bush was violating our rights with the Patriot act and the water-boarding of several terrorists. But now? Roger writes:
But now that Obama has made a virtual American KGB out of the Justice Department, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the CDC, such spying and tracking is becoming standard operating procedure. Where is the liberal angst and outrage? All you hear is crickets chirping.

Liberals screamed like mashed cats when George Bush championed the Patriot Act in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks, predicting that precious constitutional protections would be routinely violated by the Bush government.

It turns out liberals were right. But not about George Bush. He used the Patriot Act to monitor communications and transactions of suspected terrorists – particularly when the terrorist was, say, calling Pakistan.

Liberal fears that this power would be abused and turned on ordinary American citizens has turned out to be right – in the Obama administration.

During the 2008 campaign, Obama promised a domestic security force equal in funding and force to the Pentagon. This is one promise he is keeping.

The 67,000 strong Transportation Security Administration has morphed into taking nude pictures and/or engaging in full genital groping of airline passengers in the name of safety.

According to an article by Doug Hagmann at the Canada Free Press, an internal memo with the DHS "officially addresses those who are opposed to, or engaged in the disruption of the implementation of the enhanced airport screening procedures as 'domestic extremists.'"

This erosion of our constitutional rights spans multiple administrations, though unquestionably it has accelerated under Obama. But these "security" features go beyond keeping terrorists off airplanes. By labeling the uncooperative as "extremists," the DHS is separating the wheat from the chaff in the eyes of the government. The "wheat" (the compliant sheeple) are allowed to go about their business. The "chaff" (we who object) are duly noted and recorded and/or investigated and fined. It is not outside the realm of possibility that we "extremists" will hear a knock on our door some time in the future. Or does that make me sound paranoid?

The TSA strategy is only the first test. I foresee a lot more "wheat and chaff" tactics in the future. And I'm not the only one drawing parallels between what was once a beautiful country steeped in liberty to the paranoid disaster that befell Germany nearly 80 years ago.

I, for one, am proud to be "chaff." And by urging others to join me, I am putting myself squarely in the camp of "domestic extremist."

So be it.

I am a criminal ~ By Patrice Lewis

I always heard that ignorance of the law is not a valid defense. It's no excuse... So they said back in the day. But, with that being said, how does a person know if they are breaking a law with so many on the books? Keep in mind, there are the federal laws, state laws, and local laws (city and county ordinances). No individual could ever know every possible law on the books. As Patrice says in this column, "...here's the thing: You're a criminal, too. Yes, you. And you, and you, and you. Apparently we are ALL criminals in one form or another."

Keep in mind that if the government wants to put you in prison or destroy your budget with large fines, or take your property without due process, they can find a way. For an example, there was a gangster in Chicago that was pretty much getting away with murder, literally. Eliot Ness had been trying hard to take down the infamous criminal, Al Capone, for years. Being the typical big city (Chicago) mob boss back in the 1920's, during Prohibition, Capone was able to keep the prosecutors from getting convictions, even though he was the prime suspect in many violent crimes, including the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre.

Fortunately for the good guys, Frank J. Wilson was able to take down Capone by utilizing tax evasion charges. Capone was an enemy of the state, and the government needed to take him down. The government found laws that made conviction more likely than getting a conviction of Capone on the Prohibition laws, or even murder and organized crime.

That all happened a long time ago. Capone wasn't a political enemy. He was a public enemy. However, what if patriots, people that speak up, people who disagree with the President's agenda, are ever seen as public enemies? Something to think about. Just sayin'...

I'm sorry, but we are living in a country with a government vastly out of control and bloated with bureaucrats whose sole purpose is to eliminate a free-market economy. Our government now has the ability – quite literally – to arrest every single one of us for violating one regulation or another. In other words, it can pick us off one by one whenever it's expedient. What a comforting thought.

Yeah, I thought that title would get your attention. That's right, I'm a criminal.

So what's my crime? I'm not sure yet. But guaranteed, there's something on the law books I've violated and for which I apparently deserve prison time.

And here's the thing: You're a criminal, too. Yes, you. And you, and you, and you. Apparently we are ALL criminals in one form or another.

This notion was confirmed after reading an article about a seafood broker named Abner Schoenwetter who was imprisoned for eight years and required to cough up tens of thousands of dollars in fines for "agreeing to purchase lobster tails that federal prosecutors said violated harvest regulations – in Honduras."

The silliness of Mr. Schoenwetter's "crime" is so great that he's being used as a poster boy for overzealous legislation that makes criminals out of everyone. But no matter what kind of outrage you may feel after reading this guy's story, the fact remains that Mr. Schoenwetter now has a criminal record, cannot vote, and his chances of employment are just about nil. All thanks to some lobster tails.

"Legal experts say there are more than 4,450 federal crimes on the books and as many as 300,000 federal regulations that can be enforced criminally," notes the article. "From 2000 to 2007, Congress created 452 entirely new crimes."

I find that phrasing interesting: Congress created 452 entirely new crimes. Out of what, thin air? Amazing.

So, like it or not, somewhere among those 4,450 federal crimes and 300,000 federal regulations, there are no doubt numerous violations I'm committing on a daily basis simply by existing. And apparently for any number of these crimes, I can be incarcerated right along with gangsters, murderers and child abusers. Isn't that nice?

The thing that concerns me about this plethora of crimes, laws and regulations is that the penalties and punishments may not necessarily fit the crime, but they might well fit the political suasion.

What I mean is this. What prevents a judicial system from favoring those with approved political affiliation and punishing those of differing affiliation? What prevents a judge from handing down different sentences depending on whether you're a liberal Democrat or a conservative tea-party member?

If you remember that lovely report on right-wing extremism put out by the Department of Homeland Security, anyone who disagrees with the current administration can be construed as a domestic terrorist. To my dismay, I learned I fit the profile perfectly.

With federal crimes "created" out of thin air, it seems within the realm of possibility that "violators" who don't like a political administration can have vindictive charges levied against them. See my point?

After all, it's well-known that individuals are targeted by government officials merely for holding different opinions. Rush Limbaugh, I've heard, is audited every single year just for being Rush Limbaugh.

And that's why I'm worried. Who knows what obscure federal regulation I'm violating? Which government goons are waiting to swoop down on me in the middle of the night and haul me away? Or does that make me sound paranoid? I dunno, ask Mr. Schoenwetter.

Ayn Rand (of "Atlas Shrugged" fame) wrote, "The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights, cannot claim to be defenders of minorities." My husband and I have always been big proponents of individual rights. It's why we refuse to surrender our children to the brainwashing in public schools. It's why we try to live an independent and self-sufficient lifestyle in a rural location.

But to federal bureaucrats, such an attitude on our part must mean we're up to something nefarious. It can't just mean we like milking our own cows. It must mean we're hiding the bruises at best, and plotting to overthrow the government at worst.

It's not just individuals who can be targeted, of course. Businesses presumably have deeper pockets, so they're natural victims. Gone is the silly notion that a business should be able to provide its customers with products that they want, at prices they can afford. Instead, businesses are required to kowtow to an astoundingly detailed, invasive and burdensome list of regulations in total conflict with customer demand and corporate profitability. Frequently, these regulations are imposed in the name of "the children" or "the environment."

Arizona in the crosshairs ~ By Tom Tancredo

Tom Tancredo writes about Obama's war on Arizona. It's all about Obama wanting open borders. With a substantial majority of Americans siding with Arizona on their immigration law (S.B. 1070), why would Obama and Eric Holder be trying to stop the Arizona law from going into affect on July 29? As Tom opines, "It is quite conceivable that President Obama has already decided to not seek a second term in 2012 and therefore can afford to ignore public opinion...

Of course, there is another possibility that I've been wondering about. Maybe Obama isn't planning on running in 2012 for the reason that there won't be an election, or that by the time 2012 comes along, the U.S. will already part of a "New World Order." Oh, of course, I know many of you will think that could never happen here! But then, just a few years ago, who would have ever thought a Marxist would ever become President? Just sayin'...
If the Arizona law is struck down in federal court, and if similar efforts by Arizona lawmakers aimed at protection against foreign invasion are blocked, there will be consequences that are very unpleasant. When lawful authority cannot or will not protect citizens against violence and invasion, at some point "vigilante justice" will fill the gap, and it likely will not be limited to the "observe and report" rules of engagement followed by the original Minutemen patriots of 2005.

It is quite conceivable that President Obama has already decided to not seek a second term in 2012 and therefore can afford to ignore public opinion and "do the right thing" by his own compass – not only on border security and amnesty but all across the board. The problem for the nation is that his compass is set on the goal of a socialist America within a new international socialist order where borders – and the Constitution's limits on his power – are of little consequence.

In Phoenix this past week, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton heard opening arguments in a motion to grant a preliminary injunction to block the implementation of Arizona's new law aimed at illegal immigration. The new law will take effect on July 29.

Next week the same judge will hear arguments in two other lawsuits against the Arizona law, one brought by Obama's Justice Department and the other by the ACLU and two open-borders groups.

The argument of the Obama lawsuit is that Arizona has invaded legal territory reserved exclusively for the federal government – enforcement of federal immigration law. But, oddly, the shallowness and hypocrisy of this claim was laid bare by none other than Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano in a statement in Laredo, Texas, on the same day as the court hearing in Phoenix.

Napolitano announced that the Department of Homeland Security is releasing $51 million in grants to Arizona and several other states as part of Operation Stonegarden, a program began in 2006 to help local law enforcement deal with crime in border regions. Arizona will get $13.8 million, Texas $17.5 million and California $12.2 million.

Consider the significance of the fact that these federal funds are administered by Homeland Security, not the Department of Justice. The federal government – authorized by an act of Congress – is admitting local law enforcement is dramatically impacted by open borders and needs help. So, DHS now offers financial assistance to enable local law enforcement to pay overtime and purchase needed equipment such as night-vision goggles, so local police can better cope with the byproducts of federal open-borders policies.

Lost in this scramble for federal dollars is the lesson about the relationship between local crime rates and border security. When the Border Patrol in Del Rio, Texas, and Yuma, Arizona, implemented Operation Zero Tolerance and started prosecuting and putting in jail all the people apprehended crossing the border illegally – instead of the traditional practice of merely pushing them back into Mexico without any jail time – not only did border crossings drop by 70 percent, local crime in those border towns dropped dramatically.

Evidently, it is all right to spend federal dollars to help local law enforcement cope with crime created by federal open-borders policies, but it is not all right for a state to protect itself against those same criminals by enforcing federal immigration law and asking the federal government to deport persons arrested for local crime – which is what the Arizona law tries to do.

It is now clear that the Obama administration and Attorney General Holder have declared war on Arizona's attempts to protect itself from the border invasion. Obama will not protect Arizona's borders, and Holder wants to prevent Arizona from protecting itself.

'Controversial opinions' make for bad TSA employees ~ By Brad O'Leary

Brad O'Leary contemplates on the new TSA internet use policy that was instituted back on July 1, 2010, and quickly revised less than a week later. This commentary, combined with Phil Elmore's column (see in the RELATED STORIES list below), leads me to one certain conclusion: The Democrats will attempt to silence their critics, however they can, in order to stay in power. We should all be aware by now that the Obama power structure, pretty much a blueprint of the tactics used in Chicago-style politics, is based on silencing any critics, or at the very least, attempting to discredit them (as Obama learned in Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals.").

But the last thing the Obama minions would want to happen is rebellion against what the administration is attempting to do, as Brad points out very well. They can't have the government employees accessing information that may lead them to question what they are being told to do (and I probably just made this blog banned on most government-run websites!).

I know, some of my readers will probably say that I'm just beating a dead horse, being that the less-than-one-week-old TSA policy has already been rescinded. But as I pointed out in my intro to Elmore's column, we have to stay vigilant whenever we encounter a government attempt to control information. Just sayin'...

Big Sis blowing off ban on 'controversial opinion'

Upon taking office, President Obama famously promised that his would be the most "transparent" administration in history. Here's yet another opportunity for him to make good on this promise. He should simply make public a list of all the websites TSA blocked its employees from viewing.

Wise readers won't hold their breath waiting for this list to materialize.

It's true that many private companies and federal agencies block employee access to websites deemed either inappropriate or unnecessary for conducting business. Such policies often make sense, as the Internet, for all its time-saving capabilities, can also be a huge temptation and time-waster.

So, what to make of the recent news that employees at the Transportation Security Administration were blocked, as of July 1, from accessing any websites that fall into the following categories: "Chat/messaging; Criminal activity; Extreme violence (including cartoon violence) and gruesome content; Gaming; and Controversial opinion."

You can certainly make the case that siphons of our hard-earned tax dollars shouldn't be frittering away the day instant-messaging friends, learning how to make bombs, viewing celebrity autopsy photos or playing Pac-Man … but what is "controversial opinion"? What falls into that category? The Drudge Report? Fox News? WorldNetDaily? Any website that dares question or publish criticism of the logic behind the Obama administration's policy decisions?

It's worth pointing out that pornography doesn't make the list of banned websites. This is perhaps due to sensitivity on the part of Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano, showing deference to the well-known favorite pastime of federal "workers."

Yesterday, TSA announced that it's backing off the plan to block "controversial opinion" sites, no doubt because of intense media scrutiny. But still, why did TSA venture down this road in the first place? Lacking a detailed explanation from Napolitano or anyone at TSA, we're left to speculate as to what "controversial opinion" websites they wanted to blacklist – and why.

In my book, "Shut Up, America! The End of Free Speech," I chronicle episodes where President Obama displayed incredibly thin skin at the slightest criticism – such as when his campaign tried to bully Chicago radio station WGN in barring two authors, who were Obama critics, from receiving any airtime.

In her short tenure, Obama's hand-picked security chief has displayed a similar penchant for using power to silence critics – most notably when her Homeland Security Department released a report labeling gun owners, Christians and limited-government advocates "right-wing extremists" and "potential terrorists" who ought to be closely monitored.

And just a few weeks ago, Napolitano declared that the federal government needs the ability to monitor Americans' Internet communications to fight homegrown terrorism.

"We can significantly advance security without having a deleterious impact on individual rights in most instances," she said. "At the same time, there are situations where trade-offs are inevitable." Ben Franklin, arguably a deeper thinker than Napolitano, warned of just such a foolish trade-off.
