The Greatest One-Punch in Political History ~ Ep. 1174 ~ The Dan Bongino Show ~ Video

I apologize to my readers here. Last night I spent too much time on other things, and didn't even finish watching this video until tonight (umm, this morning?). As I finished watching, I was really wondering what I could say about this episode because there is so much great stuff packed in to this powerful video. All I can do is just to advise folks to watch the whole video, and take heed, because the Demonicrats took a total face plant, and the President knocked it out of the park.

Here is the big take away from the last few days. You may want to review several of the latest posts I've written regarding Dan Bongino's show, because there is an immense amount of information there. But I'm telling you, the sheer genius of Donald Trump is showing, in so many ways, and yet the other Party is not able to admit that the President outsmarts them at every turn. "Donald is taking off his gloves." That is so good to see! Finally!

Rather than me trying to summarize what Dan says, my reiteration is hardly necessary, if you just watch this!

A Total Disaster for the Hapless Democrats - EP 1173 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

We can't make this stuff up. Dan Bongino brings up the massive face plant by the Democrat National Committee in Iowa, in the first of the nation Caucus. They couldn't have done more wrong. A brilliant exhibit of the probable results of a massive government take over of many sectors of the American economy and how it's not looking too good for them. They had three years to get an APP up and running. It didn't work so well. They just had one job! We're still waiting.... Is it up to 63% of the vote yet? Reminds me of a Windows status bar, that never moves.

This show by Dan Bongino is loaded with blog worthy material. And yet, I was so overwhelmed by what I saw in the State of the Union tonight, and by all the dishes in my sink that needed to be washed, I don't think I can do complete justice to what Dan talks about on Tuesday's episode. So, I do want to make sure you watch it all the way through, just to see the Bongino Show's epic salute to Rush Limbaugh, among some other things that Dan totally tears up the Democrats on... Just like somebody did to President Trump's SOTU tonight (a pretty sad stunt!).

So, if you are looking for something to cheer about, watch this episode of The Dan Bongino Show. It might help you cope with the people that need to get help. Serious help. Soon.

Clearly, there is an environment of controversy among some GOP candidates after the Iowa Caucus. But the real question...

I need to be different, and I need to do things differently.

As you are
From The Daily Motivator ~ By Ralph Marston ~ Friday, Jan 20, 2012

You are here, as you are, and it is good. You are alive, aware, uniquely inspired, and able to choose from a vast array of possibilities.

Don’t get caught up in worrying about what could have been or what should have been. Instead, turn your awareness toward the very real and present beauty of what is.

It was in the last paragraph written by Ralph Marston, that I knew I needed to start this blog post in this way: "You have this amazing and valuable moment, so live it to the fullest. Feel the immense goodness, as you are, and be all you can be."

When I say that "I need to be different, and I need to do things differently" I'm not saying that anything about ME needs to change. What I am saying is that I am okay with the fact that I don't exactly do things like everyone else. I've seen the way so many news websites and blogs all look alike these days. Even Joseph Farah changed the look of WorldNetDaily, now known as WND... Am I supposed to do everything like all the big players are doing it now, or is it okay if I stay "old school"?

Yes, it is true that things change or evolve, especially when it comes to technology! But it's also possible - at the same time - that it is just my older age and the desire to maintain the status quo. I was going through that feeling around Christmas in 2011.

So, here is my point: I kind of liked the way we were free at one time. Taking away that freedom is rubbing me a little bit wrong. It is not the "change" that I would ever hope for!

For now, I am sticking to the traditions that I've known: I still want to "Bring on the Fireworks!" every July 4th, on that day we celebrate our Independence Day. I'm just sayin'...

Patrick J. Cunningham informed the House Oversight Committee late Thursday through his attorney that he will use the Fifth Amendment protection.

Cunningham was ordered Wednesday to appear before Chairman Darrell Issa and the House Oversight Committee regarding his role in the operation that sent more than 2,000 guns to the Sinaloa Cartel. Guns from the failed operation were found at the murder scene of Border Agent Brian Terry.

Exclusive: Robert Ringer exhorts Republicans to focus on core issue of this election
From WND Commentary ~ By Robert Ringer ~ Published Jan 18, 2012

Every time you think the media are about to run out of ideas for transforming a nonstory into a spectacular news event, they manage to come up with yet another gem. That said, forgive me for adding my two cents worth to the Bain Capital brouhaha.

Those who know Newt Gingrich best have long predicated he would implode, even after he shot to the top of the polls, which he managed to do by cleverly playing the role of the calm, intellectual, peacemaking elderly statesman who was above the fray. So Gingrich’s angry obsession with taking down MittMan, even if it means destroying his own chances of winning the Republican nomination, is not surprising.

After observing his words and actions – from his climate-changing couch love-fest with Nancy Pelosi to his infamous “right-wing social engineering” comment about Paul Ryan’s budget plan – and then his scorched-earth attacks on free-market capitalism – I’ve come to the conclusion that Newt is not just a nasty, egomaniacal, self-destructive, undisciplined flip-flopper.

Limbaugh expects Newt to go for Romney's jugular
by Joe Kovacs ~ Jan 4, 2012

PALM BEACH, Fla. – The real winner in the Iowa Caucuses was not Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney or Ron Paul, but rather President Obama, at least according to the national news media.

So says radio giant Rush Limbaugh who noted major media voices from across the country were singing the praises of Obama’s re-election chances, claiming Republicans appear to be divided among the likes of the top three finishers in the Hawkeye State.

MSNBC’s Martin Bashir declared: “The big winner in Iowa: President Obama.”    READ MORE

Obama fundraising e-mail expresses fear over “tea party extremists”
From the Greeley Gazette (via WND) ~ Posted by Matt Lacy • January 4, 2012

The Obama campaign appears to have shown us who they are really concerned about running against, a solidly conservative candidate instead of moderate Mitt Romney.

Following the Iowa caucus last night Jim Messina, Obama’s campaign manager sent out an e-mail expressing their fears over the results.

The message titled, “this is not a joke” expressed the campaign’s concerns that Governor Mitt Romney only received around 30 percent of the vote. “Many observers still think Mitt Romney will be the Republican nominee. If he is, we will be prepared. But it's curious that no one can really explain how, when or why the 70-plus percent of Republicans saying in polls and in Iowa that Mitt Romney's not their candidate will suddenly come around.”

“So the path ahead for Romney -- or whichever of the Republican candidates is going to emerge from this process -- is sadly and starkly very clear: to run even further to the extreme right, and make even more dangerous promises that threaten not only the progress we've made but the fundamental fabric of American society.”   READ MORE

Gingrich and climate change ~ By Jane Chastain

From WND ~ Wednesday, January 4, 2012

“Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get.”

Mark Twain
JANE CHASTAIN
Does a leopard change its spots? Does a tiger change its stripes?

Newt Gingrich is what you might call a striped tiger or a spotted leopard. When it comes to what some see as the impending doom of climate change, the former speaker of the House is trying to have it both ways.

On Dec. 20, at a campaign stop in Iowa, he looked more like a deer than a leopard or tiger – a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle. When confronted by a woman who expressed concern about a chapter on climate change being written for his post-election book on the environment by climate change apologist Katherine Hayhoe, Newt began backpedaling. “That’s not going to be in the book,” he said. “We didn’t know that they were doing that, and we told them to kill it.” Ah, the proverbial “we.” Who are/is the we? The book’s editor, some unknown puppeteer who is out of sight pulling all the strings, or Gingrich himself?    READ MORE

From The Daily Motivator ~ Thursday, January 5, 2012

Where is the best place to start, when you’re determined to make real improvements in your life? Where is the best place to start, when you’re totally committed to following your dream?

The best place to start is precisely where you are. The best time to start is the moment you are in.

As difficult and challenging as your situation may be, in that situation is a way to move forward. From where you are right now, there is a path that leads to precisely where you would like to be.

Time 2 Escape Daily for Wednesday, Jan 4, 2012

I did something different last night. I went for a walk. It was just a block or two, and I had a destination in mind. My precinct caucus was held last night and I attended. It was such a sacrifice, too, being that I had to walk somewhere while the weather was being so gentle to us Eastern Iowans (it hasn't snowed YET in Cedar Rapids!).

For months, I was hoping to be the speaker for Herman Cain. The speakers for Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum were announced... Wait, what about the other candidates? I asked the caucus leader if I could say anything about Herman Cain. My request was rejected. It was then that I made my statement, in front of 87 people: "Why not?" Sure, that looks like a question, but really, it was a statement. I could have mentioned anyone, actually, not just Herman Cain. I could have mentioned Sarah Palin or Chris Christie; the statement would still have the same meaning. Who decides/decided what Republicans really want in a candidate to run against the incumbent in the White House? Maybe that explains how Santorum only lost by 8 votes overall in Iowa against the guy the GOP and media elite really want.

Of course, the first caucus in the country wasn't the only news that kept me awake too long last night. The Iranian saber-rattling is unsettling. Building a nuke, threatening to shut off the oil spigot by blocking the Strait of Hormuz... Well, it is all the more reason why who is chosen to be President next November is all important right now. We will need a Commander-in-Chief that we can depend on to protect our freedom. Is our current President up to the task?

In the mean time, many of us are asking what we need to do to live a better life. And the two stories that I included today are right on the money, because it really comes down to having the personal freedom to do what you can to be successful. Think about that! Because I love you, I'm just sayin'...

Mitt Romney Squeaks Out Narrow Victory in Iowa
From Newsmax.com ~ By Martin Gould ~ Tuesday, 03 Jan 2012 10:20 PM

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won the Iowa GOP caucus early Wednesday morning by just eight votes after an intense three-way battle throughout Tuesday evening that underscored the depth of opposition to him within the Republican Party.

The race had shaped up as a two-way dead heat between Romney and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum with Iowa GOP chairman Matt Strawn announcing Romney’s victory shortly after 2:30 EST. The final vote total for Romney was 30,015 to Santorum’s 30,007.

The decision Tuesday night by Iowa Republican caucus-goers followed 354 days of campaigning and an estimated 900 events, according to Iowa officials. Candidates spent the final days of campaigning before the first-in-the-nation vote in one last-gasp scramble, traveling from town to city.

The vote was so close that Romney could not effectively claim a decisive victory, especially as Santorum’s dramatic effort suggested the depth of the “anyone-but-Romney” movement within in the GOP. Santorum wasn’t even considered a viable candidate 10 days ago. READ MORE

Gingrich Praises Santorum in Defeat
From Newsmax.com ~ By Paul Scicchitano ~ Tuesday, 03 Jan 2012 11:19 PM

With a likely fourth-place finish in Iowa, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich vowed to continue his campaign at least through the New Hampshire primary.

“I am delighted to be here tonight and I think that we are at the beginning of an extraordinarily important campaign,” Gingrich told supporters with wife Callista by his side.

“The ultimate goal of this campaign has to be to replace Barack Obama and get America back on the right track. But let’s be clear: one of the things which became obvious in the last few weeks in Iowa is that there will be a great debate in the Republican Party before we are prepared to have a great debate with Barack Obama.”

Gingrich congratulated former Sen. Rick Santorum not only on his apparent victory in Iowa, but for waging “a great, positive campaign “ in sharp contrast to his words for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney whom he described as a “liar” earlier in the day for a slew of negative advertisements, many of which were directed at Gingrich. READ MORE

Iranian War Drums
From FrontPageMag.com ~ By Stephen Brown ~ Jan 4th, 2012

After threatening only days ago to close the Strait of Hormuz, through which twenty percent of the world’s oil supplies moves, the Iranian government has once again engaged in ominous sabre-rattling.

The mullah regime’s latest threat involves a warning to the United States on Tuesday not to send its naval task force group, headed by the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis, back to the Persian Gulf. The Stennis had already left Gulf waters last week en route to the Afghan war theater and is now “somewhere between Oman and Pakistan.”

“I advise, recommend and warn them [the Americans] over the return of this carrier to the Persian Gulf because we are not in the habit of warning more than once,” Iranian Army Chief Ataollah Salehi reportedly stated.

The reason for Iran’s latest bellicose outburst is that the Obama administration is implementing a strict set of sanctions that could seriously damage, even topple, the Iranian government. The latest punitive measures are being imposed because Iran is still refusing, despite worldwide condemnation, to give up its nuclear weapons program. The fact Iran may be as little as a year away from developing its first nuclear weapon accounts for the sanctions’ severity. The International Atomic Energy Commission also reported recently that Iranian scientists are “working to design a nuclear warhead.” READ MORE

Ron Paul’s Soros Defense Plan
From FrontPageMag.com ~ By Daniel Greenfield ~ Jan 2nd, 2012

It was recently observed that Ron Paul was to the left of Obama on national security and the best evidence for that statement can be found when one year ago Ron Paul joined forces with Barney Frank on a proposal to gut national defense via a panel of experts, quite a few of whom were tied to George Soros.

In July 2010, Barney Frank and Ron Paul co-authored a Huffington Post article rolling out their Sustainable Defense Task Force. The Task Force “consisting of experts on military expenditures that span the ideological spectrum” would recommend a trillion dollars in defense cuts. The experts, however, didn’t quite “span the ideological spectrum” — more like float under it.    READ MORE

I love greed ~ By Walter Williams
Walter E. Williams explains the beauty, necessity of 'enlightened self-interest'
From WND ~ Jan 3, 2012

WALTER E. WILLIAMS
Free-market capitalism is relatively new in human history. Prior to the rise of capitalism, the way people amassed great wealth was by looting, plundering and enslaving their fellow man. Capitalism made it possible to become wealthy by serving one’s fellow man. Capitalists seek to discover what people want and then produce it as efficiently as possible. Free-market capitalism is ruthless in its profit-and-loss discipline. This explains much of the hostility toward free-market capitalism; some of it is held by businessmen. [Adam] Smith recognized this hostility when he said, “People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices.” He was hinting at government-backed crony capitalism, which has come to characterize much of today’s businesses. Made to make a difference ~ By Ralph Marston
From The Daily Motivator ~ Tuesday, January 3, 2012

This Daily Motivator seems to go well with Walter Williams' column, "I love greed" (see above).

Doing only what is easy and convenient, comfortable and free of challenge, doesn’t get you very far. Chasing after something for nothing ends up getting you nothing of real value.

In order to experience true fulfillment in any undertaking, you must invest yourself in it. It is your active participation and contribution to life that makes it so good to live.

If you continually take the easy way out, avoiding effort, challenge and commitment, you’ll end up being very disappointed. You are made to make a difference, so embrace every opportunity to do so.

Time 2 Escape Daily for Sunday, Jan 1, 2012 ~ SPECIAL EDITION

I know, I said this yesterday:
I hope that your expectations weren't overly magnified by using the word "Daily" in the title of these latest posts. The truth is, in the case of this blog, "Daily" is not equivalent to "every day." I'm going to do my best to keep this blog active by posting as often as possible, but I guarantee that I'll be taking Sundays off, and maybe another day during the week.
Guaranteeing that I would take Sundays off was a mistake. I should have said, "I'll usually take Sundays off, but there will be occasions when there are some great new stories or columns that I really want to share with you."

Clearly, as you will see, this is one of those days, especially considering that today is the first day of a new year, and is a significant holiday that leans toward dealing with our desire to enjoy a better year than the previous one. And you will find out that this Special Edition of the Time 2 Escape "Daily" will help to point you in the right direction.

Of course, there was another reason that I wanted to do this special edition today. It has always been my feeling that when a previous year ends on a good note, it is likely that the new year will start out on the same good note. What I saw happen yesterday was a great way to end a year and give us hope for a bright future in the new year. It was all about perseverance. It is looking like the new year, 2012, will be a time to keep persisting through all challenges or obstacles.

And, I wanted to gloat a little about the great victory the Hawkeye men's basketball team had yesterday against the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison....

Well, anyway, the three stories/columns along with the video blog that I have included here need to be read. You will find that they are all pieces of the bigger puzzle that all seem to fit together.

Happy New Year!  I'm NOT just sayin' ...

Hawkeyes Post 'Statement Win'
Iowa downs 11th-ranked Wisconsin, 72-65, in Madison
From HawkeyeSports.com ~ Dec. 31, 2011

MADISON, Wis. -- Freshman Aaron White scored 18 points and senior Bryce Cartwright finished with 17 points to lead the University of Iowa men's basketball team to a statement, 72-65, road victory at No. 11 Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon in the Kohl Center.

Iowa's win snapped Wisconsin's 23 game home winning streak against non-ranked opponents. It was the Badgers' second loss in in 61 games (59-2) during the Bo Ryan era against non-ranked conference teams, and it was Iowa's first road win since 2006, a 70-67 victory at No. 21 Indiana.

"Anytime you beat the 11th-ranked team on the road, it's a statement victory for where your kids are mentally," said UI head coach Fran McCaffery. "You're seeing this team grow up, and you saw a team play with maturity. Six weeks ago they weren't playing with that level of maturity."

Moving from success to significance ~ By Chuck Norris
From WND ~ December 30, 2011 at 11:06 am Eastern

Happy new year, Chuck! Do you have any New Year's resolutions? Any you'd recommend to others? – "Seeking Self-Improvement" in Seattle

CHUCK NORRIS
With the induction of the new year, many of us are resolving to better our lives in 2012. That's fantastic! I encourage resolutions, whether you make them now or at any other time of the year.

My New Year's challenge, however, is that you think in terms of not only success but also significance.

Ken Blanchard, leadership guru and co-author of "The One Minute Manager," said: "Many people measure their success by wealth, recognition, power and status. There's nothing wrong with those, but if that's all you're focused on, you're missing the boat. ... Using your time and talent to serve others – that's when truly meaningful success can come your way."

The power of resolve ~ By Greg Laurie
From WND ~ December 30, 2011 at 1:41 pm Eastern
Press on for what God has for you. That is what Paul was doing: "With hands outstretched to whatever lies ahead I go straight for the goal. ..." The original language of this verse includes the word agonizo, from which we get our English word "agony." This reminds us that our lives are a walk of faith. There are challenges, difficulties and obstacles that we will face. As the expression goes, "No pain, no gain." Paul was straining to move forward.

By the way, these words were not given to a spiritually elite group of Christians. They were not given to pastors or only to those who are called in the ministry. They are given to every follower of Jesus Christ. Every believer is called to press on.

Time 2 Escape Daily for Friday, Dec 30, 2011

As you will soon learn, if you haven't figured it out yet, that my choice of news stories, opinion columns and blogs can not possibly be objective because of my obvious Conservative Christian viewpoint... er, bias... (You will understand that statement better once you read David Limbaugh's column below.)

And now that you know that I have that Conservative Christian bias in my choices of resources to allow you to see, I am sure that you will either decide to make sure you return here every possible chance you have, or you will never visit this blog again. Which ever choice you make is fine with me. You will either appreciate the opportunity to learn more or you would rather just ignore all that is going on. For you, it may be valuable information to assist you to enhance your worldview, or it may be that you just think it's all hype and fear mongering on steroids.

But just so that you know, which ever way you feel about Time 2 Escape, it may be a short amount of time before somebody begins deciding what is okay for you to know. Whether you like this blog or not, isn't it time to make sure that while you can, gather all the information you now have available, and develop your own world view (whether right or wrong)?

Yep, thought so. You're still reading. You're still here. I'm just sayin'...

Contends they're ruining chance of only GOP candidate who can beat Obama

Presidential candidates Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich are destroying an already-weakened "Republican brand," increasing President Obama's chance of being re-elected next fall, says nationally syndicated talk-radio host Michael Savage.

"Romney is so silent, Gingrich is so dirty and Ron Paul is so crazy that Obama is surging," Savage told his "Savage Nation" audience last night.

Savage believes Mitt Romney is the only candidate in the GOP field capable of beating Obama, although he acknowledges that most conservatives don't find the former Massachusetts governor appealing.

Phares: Obama Administration Failing to Contain Iran
From Newsmax ~ Thursday, 29 Dec 2011 05:48 PM ~ By Paul Scicchitano and Kathleen Walter

Respected Middle East expert Walid Phares tells Newsmax.TV that Iran is playing a “very dangerous game” by threatening to close the vital Strait of Hormuz oil route – a move that the Obama administration is unprepared to stop.

“The Iranian regime does saber rattling, thinking this is a good strategy. But at the same time this is a very dangerous business because they may choose to stop shipments coming to the [Persian] Gulf or through the Gulf as a result of our sanctions and that of course is going to draw United States, Eurpoean, NATO and international response,” Phares warns in an exclusive interview on Thursday.

Isaiah 9:10: America under judgment? ~ By Joseph Farah

JOSEPH FARAH
Here we see what we so often see in the Bible – promise of a blessing for obedience and a curse of turning away from the Lord.

And we all know the outcome, so I'm not giving anything away here. Long before the death of Solomon, the children of Israel began to turn away from the commandments and serve and worship other gods. Even Solomon himself turns to this kind of spiritual adultery – leading to the divided kingdom in one generation.

But the dividing of the kingdom was yet just a warning, a harbinger, a limited judgment. God was shaking His people trying to get their attention and return them to the covenant.

Blind to their liberal biases ~ By David Limbaugh
DAVID LIMBAUGH
It's just wrong to assume that a nonbelieving worldview is more objective than a believing one. We are all blessed (or burdened) with our presuppositions, and they accompany us wherever we go.

It occurred to me that the woman's argument is analogous to the political liberals' legendary denial of bias. Indeed, many liberals don't even view themselves as liberals. Rather, they are reality- and fact-based creatures. Only conservatives allow their biases to taint their objectivity. Liberals will admit that some conservatives are rational, but to be both rational and conservative, they must be evil. They know the policies they support are wrong, objectively, but they choose to do so anyway – or something like that.

VIDEO: Herman Cain Tells Cavuto He Is ‘Prayerfully Considering’ 2012 Campaign

Robert Stacy McCain (the other McCain) tells us a little about Herman Cain, former CEO of Godfather's Pizza, and provides a video with Herman telling Neil Cavuto that he is considering a run for the presidency in 2012.
