COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT

This is from an email I received from a wonderful friend this morning that brought me great joy and laughter. It's Labor Day, and about the only labor I planned on doing today was to post this to my blog. Yes, it was well worth all the work. It was hard work, too, as I was laughing so hard I broke out into a sweat (it IS still summer, you know). And, though Labor Day does remind us that summer is about to end, at least we can still have a big laugh today.
~ Author anonymous (the email didn't say... not my fault.) You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this. For those of us who sometimes get flustered by our computers, please read on... Abbott and CostelloIf Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their famous sketch, 'Who's on First?' might have turned out something like this: COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you? COSTELLO: Thanks. I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer. ABBOTT: Mac? COSTELLO: No, the name's Lou. ABBOTT: Your computer? ABBOTT: It comes bundled with your computer. COSTELLO: What's bundled with my computer? ABBOTT: Money. COSTELLO: Money comes with my computer? ABBOTT: Yes. No extra charge. COSTELLO: I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much? ABBOTT: One copy. COSTELLO: Isn't it illegal to copy money? ABBOTT: Microsoft gave us a license to copy Money. ABBOTT: Click Start.
I HOPE you laughed out loud as hard as I did at this! This was a true LOL story!

  2. Ummm.... That's good, Anonymous, that you laughed and laughed! So did I! That was the whole purpose for posting this one. :) We all need to smile at some point. Ya know? It's a tough, cruel world, and we're facing a crisis of losing our Freedom in America. But yet, we have to find ways to boost our resolve, and a little smile does work wonders.

I will bet that George Washington knew that, even at Valley Forge!
