Gimme, gimme, gimme ~ By Craige McMillan

By Craige McMillan Posted: August 06, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 "Give me, give me, give me!" not "How can I work more effectively and better serve others?" is what America seems to have become. The "gimme" crowd has bred and multiplied among itself within the halls of education, media, government and charity. Those who are delivering value are scorned, while the little Robin Hood Hitlers are bowed down before – so that the crumbs from their thievery might fall onto the tables of their worshipers. "Diversity is strength" – you're an idiot if you believe that. Jesus issued the definitive word on this: "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand" (Matthew 12:24-26). How many three-legged bar stools have you seen with one leg made of mud, another of paper mache, and the third of steel? And how did that work when you dragged it from one end of the bar to the other and sat down to discuss diversity? A herd of freshly minted MBAs has bled the poor with credit card interest rates that the mob could only imagine, and shoveled the profits onto their classmates' piles on Wall Street so it could be "invested" by global warming computer trading models. When they bankrupted both Wall Street and Main Street, they stood with their hands out at the taxpayer feeding trough, waiting for "hope and change" to come bail them out. After all, they're "entitled" to their million dollar bonuses – whether the firm makes money or not! America can't afford for their self-esteem to suffer. What this public trough crowd has done for banking, Wall Street and Main Street they now are intent on doing for medicine. But far be it from our public "servants" to read the bill they are about to vote on. Pick your own doctor? Go to jail! Pay for an operation that Big Brother has denied? Go to jail! Are you an illegal immigrant? Step to the front of the queue – everything has been paid for! May we send for your family? To make room we'll send home someone else who has applied for legal status and waited five years for entry. You will remember to vote for us, will you not? [CONTINUE READING]
