VIDEO: The Democrats really did have a bad day!

All in just one day, Kathleen Sebilius, former Secretary of HHS, resigns, Lois Lerner is being cited for contempt of Congress and now faces possible criminal prosecution, and now Mike Dickinson (D-VA), who was supposedly going to run against Eric Cantor (R-VA), gets demolished by Greta Van Susteren on her show, On the Record. The best part of the segment is when Greta tells Dickinson, "Haha, you're a piece of work" towards the end of the interview.

But before I could even post this video here, there is another very disturbing part to this story that just came out. Mediaite has a report that exposes the REAL truth about Dickinson:

Dickinson has made a bit of a name for himself this year by claiming that, if elected to Eric Cantor‘s House seat, he will wage war on the NRA, the tea party, and Fox News. Since then, he’s been in multiple Twitter wars and has appeared on Fox for confrontations with Sean Hannity and, on Thursday evening, Greta Van Susteren.

During his appearances, Fox labeled Dickinson as “(D-VA), Running For Congress.”

Just one problem with that: He’s not. At least not as a Democrat.

On Thursday morning, the Virginia 7th Congressional District Democratic Committee announced that it would cancel this year’s nominating convention, because no one had filed to run against incumbent Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

The filing deadline — Thursday, April 10th, at 5:00 p.m. — passed by without any forms submitted by Dickinson. The committee’s chair tells Mediaite that he notified the party at “last minute” that he was not going to file.

None of that was disclosed by Dickinson when he appeared on Fox News last night. (UPDATE: The committee chairwoman provided us with emails that show her requesting that Dickinson “let the show know that [he is] not a Democratic candidate.”)

He never bothered to correct Van Susteren’s introduction of him as a “Democratic congressional candidate.” Nor has he corrected any of the articles about his appearance that label him a “Democratic candidate.” Yet he is more than happy to promote articles about himself:

Greta was correct when she called him a "piece of work," although another word could have been substituted for "work" if Fox News wasn't family friendly.  But, we all know what Greta was thinking!

On the Mike Dickinson For Congress Facebook page, he actually posted the above Mediaite story.  Not surprisingly, many people posted comments that ridiculed Dickinson.  All of the comments that I saw were pretty derisive, but there was one Facebook user that put this latest (and probably last) chapter of  the Dickinson story in perspective, in just three words: "tagged and bagged."

So, perhaps, Dickinson may be concluding that his 15 minutes of fame - and making a total fool out of himself - is now over.  But, we must thank him for illustrating just how foolish liberals can be when they try to tell us how bad Fox News is, and that they lie.

Of course, we really didn't need Dickinson to tell us what we already knew. Whether it is Mike Dickinson, or Harry Reid saying on the Senate floor that all the people with horror stories about Obamacare are lying, their disparagement of anything Conservative is only going to be believed by other liberal idiots and/or those too ignorant to watch (any news!) and decide for themselves. Just sayin'...

Yet, it helps to have such an honest Democrat jumping on to Center Stage on Fox News, just to make sure we are confident that good Conservative candidates should have no problem demonstrating the fuzzy liberal logic that the Democrats will surely run on in the 2014 midterm election.

VIDEO: Mike Dickinson (D-VA) declares war on the 1st Amendment!

Really, you just can't make this up! A Democrat candidate for Congress, Virginia District 7, definitely knows how to draw attention. I'm afraid, though, it may not work out the way he is hoping. But, at least I'll give him credit for one thing: Mike Dickinson is honest! In fact, he points that out on his Facebook page:

America needs an honest Congressman who can accurately represent the interests of their constituents - I want to be that person for the VA 7th District.

Okay, we can give him a pass for being honest, but does he really believe that he can "accurately represent the interests of their constituents"? Okay, he probably couldn't afford to hire somebody to edit what he writes, either.  I wonder when this guy will finally realize that what goes around will eventually come around? Dickinson loves to disparage people, groups, and ideas, but how is he going to handle it when not only is he disparaged, but gets totally annihilated in the public arena?

Hypocrisy: OKCupid CEO donated to candidate opposed to gay marriage ~ By Joe Newby

Mother Jones, naturally, tried to justify Yagan's donation.

"Of course," Hannah Levintova wrote, "it's been a decade since Yagan's donation to Cannon, and a decade or more since many of Cannon's votes on gay rights. It's possible that Cannon's opinions have shifted, or maybe his votes were more politics than ideology; a tactic by the Mormon Rep. to satisfy his Utah constituency."

But Levintova said that didn't matter when OKCupid target Eich, who made his donation in 2008.

Joe Newby writes about the recent revelation and "outing" of the donation by OKCupid CEO Sam Yagan to support a candidate that had voted against same-gender marriages. It is important to notice that nobody, including Newby, is calling for Yagan to step down from his position at OKCupid, who led the attack on Mozilla last week. The whole point is just to illustrate the hypocrisy from some on the Left.

Even openly gay far-left blogger Andrew Sullivan panned the effort, finding rare common ground with conservative personalities who think free speech is more important than political beliefs.

“The whole episode disgusts me – as it should disgust anyone interested in a tolerant and diverse society. If this is the gay rights movement today – hounding our opponents with a fanaticism more like the religious right than anyone else – then count me out,” Sullivan wrote. “If we are about intimidating the free speech of others, we are no better than the anti-gay bullies who came before us.”

However, as Andrew Sullivan also wrote, "Will he now be forced to walk through the streets in shame? Why not the stocks?"  Hopefully not, or certainly, we're all in trouble.  Who here has not ever written anything in a blog, or a tweet on twitter, or on Facebook, that somebody could possibly take offense to, sometime in the future?

It's actually quite scary, and may I emphasize that point any more than I am now? What concerns me is that one person can lose his livelihood, being forced to resign from a very good position as a CEO, while somebody else escapes the same scrutiny for behavior from long ago.  This is what happens when the powerful political agenda of one group can alter the personal livelihood just because, in their minds, certain individuals have viewpoints that aren't acceptable.  But I thought that the harassment of employees for their beliefs is wrong?  Shouldn't the DOJ be investigating the thugocracy that made a certain individual uncomfortable in his workplace, requiring his resignation?

With this kind of fuzzy liberal logic being exposed, that it's okay to disparage somebody that made a very small contribution to a cause that isn't accepted by a minority, I will hope that talking-head news analysts will actually bother to cover this story as much as possible.  This seems to be a blatant example of how intimidation can work.  At what point will the U.S. government use that tactic, and be involved in restriction on OUR free speech?  Do you think that can't happen?  Oh, yeah, how about the IRS targeting of Tea Party Conservatives?  I'm just sayin'...

It seems, as George Orwell once wrote, that some are apparently more equal than others. On Monday, Mother Jones reported that OKCupid co-founder and CEO Sam Yagan also contributed to a candidate who opposed abortion and same-sex marriage.

OKCupid led the fight that ultimately caused Mozilla co-founder and CEO Brendan Eich to step down over a $1,000 contribution to a group supporting Proposition 8 in 2008.

Citing Open Secrets, Mother Jones said Yagan gave $500 to Rep. Chris Cannon, R-Utah, in 2004.

According to Mother Jones, Cannon "voted for a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, against a ban on sexual-orientation based job discrimination, and for prohibition of gay adoptions."

He also held a "0" rating from the pro-abortion NARAL Pro Choice America and voted for several pieces of pro-life legislation.

"Stone, meet glass house," Instapundit said on Twitter.

VIDEO: The UN IPCC Climate Change Report Debunked?

When I wrote the description for the video, it was written with sarcasm in mind. The choice for me has never been to believe the so-called man-made climate change scientists, especially for the fact that the United Nations is behind it with their Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).  Their credibility was destroyed with Climategate, relating to the falsification of research data by the East Anglia Climate Research Unit.

When it comes to catastrophic damage to Earth because of climate change (man-made or not), I'm not just skeptical;  I would be more likely to believe that Godzilla is going to come out of the Pacific Ocean near Fukishima, Japan before you are done watching the video below.  This segment only reinforces my climate change denial. Just sayin'...

Bang, bang. You're dead ~ By Barbara Simpson

And now in the case of Ivan Lopez, the question is asked again: How could a single armed person wreak such havoc on a state-of-the-art military base?

The answer is simple yet bizarre.

Our military men and woman are denied the right to carry guns on the base.

Never mind that they’re trained, that they took an oath to defend the Constitution, that we send them into battle to use loaded weapons.

On a U.S. military base on U.S. soil, we disarm them.

Is it any wonder that someone with the urge to take some sort of perverted revenge against this country will take advantage of that situation?

In Barbara's column, she correctly opines that it seems "Obama and the rest of them believe if we disarm, the bad guys – of whatever persuasion – will leave us alone." Of course, the bad guys don't work that way, really. They are always going to attack the softest targets, such as anywhere there are gun free zones like schools and universities, churches, malls, movie theatres, or businesses. It is just the half-baked liberal logic on display, and it always fails.

To further illustrate this opinion which I share with Barbara Simpson, I'll allow Mike Huckabee's commentary in the video below to get the point across much better than I can.

As Barbarba will point out, the liberal logic debility of disarming doesn't just stop with gun free zones. "This administration has the goal of reducing, if not eliminating entirely, our nuclear weapon capability." That will make the bad guys like us, right? Probably not quite so much. Just sayin'...

Last Sunday, after my KSFO radio program, I saw a short report on the Internet that authorities were on the alert concerning an Army soldier who might be involved in an expected attack at Fort Hood, in Texas.

Fort Hood, again. It was the scene in 2009 of the largest attack on a domestic American military installation.

It was carnage committed with intent by a Maj. Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist – a Muslim angry about our involvement in the war on terrorism.

He killed 13 and wounded 30. The attack ended when police shot him.

He was left paralyzed from the waist down, and it took much too long for his trial, which finally found him guilty. He’s on death row at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.

Who knows when he’ll be executed?

Remember, Barack Obama never condemned the shooting rampage for what it clearly was: Islamic terrorism directed at our military and our country.

He didn’t do it at the time of the killings, during the trial or after. It’s a safe bet he never will.

I thought about that and decided I’d write my next WND column – this one – about Fort Hood, the almost forgotten massacre and the fact the convicted killer is still alive.

The Story That Made Beck Say ‘We Are Becoming a Thugocracy’ - By Erica Ritz

Beck said Mozilla should have released a statement that said: “We support the constitutional rights of all of our employees to express themselves politically without the fear of retribution. This is America and the first principle of this nation is the right of expression. While we disagree with Mr. Eich’s stand, we support his right to be true to the dictates of his conscience, and we support the rights of everyone in the homosexual community to vehemently disagree with Mr. Eich … We will not, however, cave in to the un-American attempt to squash free political thought, expression and political viewpoints, no matter who’s behind the effort.”

Beck said what happened was not loving, inclusive or diverse, but rather “an American nightmare.”

There was an excellent segment on The Kelly File several days ago where Megyn Kelly and Ben Shapiro have discussion about the intolerance of the gay activists that forced Brendan Eich to resign as the CEO of Mozilla. While Ben believes it was despicable what OKCupid did, then what is fair for them to do, is only fair for him to do.

And Patrik Jonsson, staff writer for the Christian Science Monitor, notices that it isn't just those on the Right that are stunned by the pressures on Mozilla to force Eich to resign from the job that he earned:

It has also forced some long-time gay rights activists to question tactics that punish people over their beliefs rather than engage them in debate.

That’s particularly irksome to those who suggest that those who say they support diversity have failed to respect diversity of thoughts on a complex moral and legal question.

“If we are about intimidating the free speech of others, we are no better than the anti-gay bullies who came before us,” laments blogger Andrew Sullivan (who is gay), in a widely circulated blog post.

Oh, but wait. Mozilla offered this statement as their way of explaining how they are putting their focus back on protecting the web "in a way that will make you proud to support Mozilla." Here is a snippet from the statement:

Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech. Equality is necessary for meaningful speech. And you need free speech to fight for equality. Figuring out how to stand for both at the same time can be hard.

Yes, Mozilla, it CAN be hard when your statement doesn't make any sense!   Just sayin'...

‘An American Nightmare’: The Story That Made Beck Say ‘We Are Becoming a Thugocracy’

Glenn Beck said Friday that the United States of America is truly becoming a “thugocracy” where no differences of opinion are tolerated, and a “system of brutality” is being built.

“If you don’t think so, ask the CEO of Mozilla,” Beck said on his radio program.

Brendan Eich was pressured to resign as CEO of Mozilla Thursday after it was revealed that he donated $1,000 in support of California’s Proposition 8 — a measure to ban gay marriage — six years ago.

After being eviscerated on social media and even by private companies, Eich and Mozilla both issued apologies.

“Mozilla prides itself on being held to a different standard and, this past week, we didn’t live up to it. We know why people are hurt and angry, and they are right: it’s because we haven’t stayed true to ourselves,” Mozilla said in a statement.

Beck said on the radio: “So wait a minute, let me understand this. Being true to yourselves involves firing people who took advantage of the Constitution? Being true to yourselves involves digging up a man’s private political activity six years ago and taking away his livelihood as a result?”

The uproar over Eich’s donation even reached the dating site OkCupid, which asked users not to use the web browser Firefox, created by Mozilla, and said those who “deny love and instead enforce misery, shame, and frustration” are their “enemies.”

What Happened to Chicago’s Murder Rate After Illinois Upheld Concealed Carry and Why it Matters ~ By Mike Miller

While statistics vary and people on both sides of the gun debate differ on whether concealed carry laws help to prevent gun crime, this thing is certain: If my loved ones or I were under attack, I would want the capability to stop the attackers. Dead in their tracks, if necessary. Wouldn’t you?

Right now, it looks like great news for advocates of the 2nd Amendment. However, a word of warning, it may be too early to celebrate. From Jason Howerton at TheBlaze:

The more telling statistics will be revealed as 2014 marches on. Still, as always, correlation doesn’t necessarily mean causation.

Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy called the drop in crime a “trend.” He attributed the drop to the “talent level of individuals” on the police force, “intelligent policing strategies” and other programs. He did not mention the concealed carry law.

Nope, no credit for the new Illinois concealed carry law in that statement! Of course, McCarthy would want to take credit for the drop in crime! This should not be a surprise to anyone.

As you will also read in this column (see below), "...police said more than 1,300 illegal guns were recovered in the last three months." While the anti-gun liberals will also give that statistic credit for the drop in crime rates in Chicago, there is no way to know what it means without further information. But don't worry, the liberal mainstream media are still likely to mention it anyway.

And in the mean time, it doesn't sound like the military leaders believe that there should be concealed carry on military bases, even when that policy could prevent tragedies like the second Fort Hood shooting in less than five years.  Just keep in mind who their boss is: Yep, it's the Commander-in-Chief, Barack Obama.  We could see that one coming, right? Just sayin'...

What Happened to Chicago’s Murder Rate After Illinois Upheld Concealed Carry and Why it Matters

In July of 2013, Illinois became the last state in the union to enact a concealed carry law. In January of this year, the state began accepting applications for permits. This week, Chicago police announced that the city’s first quarter murder rate was the lowest since 1958.

Via ABC-affiliate Eye Witness News in the Windy City:

• The first three months of the year saw 6 fewer murders than the same time frame in 2013–a 9 percent drop–and 55 fewer murders than 2012, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

• There were 90 fewer shootings and 119 fewer shooting victims, drops of 26 and 29 percent respectively, according to police statistics.

• Compared to the first quarter of 2012, there have been 222 fewer shootings and 292 fewer shooting victims. Overall crime is down 25 percent from last year, and police said more than 1,300 illegal guns were recovered in the last three months.

Coincidence? Hard to say. And too early to tell. Although, I doubt that the anti-gun crowd is celebrating the good news.

VIDEO: The troubling gaffes by political candidates is getting worse!

To be fair, when asked about David Perdue's comments, this is how campaign spokesman Derrick Dickey responded:

David was simply making the case that he is the most qualified person in this race to help get our economy back on track so that we can start paying down the massive federal debt. His comment was based on facts that are a matter of public record.

I further learned from the Atlantic Journal Constitution column by Jim Galloway that Handel's campaign manager Corry Bliss responded to the email in this way:

It is disappointing that David would demean someone who—by no fault of her own—moved out of an abusive home at age 17, and with her own hard work and determination, is the embodiment of the American Dream.

Karen is an example of how, with great perseverance and sheer will, the circumstances under which you grow up do not dictate your ability to succeed.

While David boasts about all the time he spent living in Europe and Asia, and all of the millions of dollars he intends to spend on this race, this election is about who conservatives can relate to and trust to get results in the United States Senate.

Look, what David Perdue said about Karen Handel was possibly worse than what Rep. Bruce Braley (D-IA) managed to do by disparaging Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) because he doesn't have a law degree. At least what Braley said only matters to liberals that agree with him, such as trial lawyers that don't want tort reform.  In Perdue's case, it was a drastic political error, because he was dividing Republicans by purporting to be "above" Karen Handel only because of his education level. 

Yes, it is very disturbing, not just to me, but to even the hosts of The Five.  Greg Gutfeld says in this segment, "This woman is actually overqualified by not going to college."  And Dana Perino very eloquently says that the voters in the Republican primary in Georgia have their answer when it comes to picking the right person to be their candidate.

A long story short?  If you are running for a political office in a Republican primary, don't go divisive like the typical liberals do, especially when it is one of your own!  I can't wait to see if Karen Handel gets a large bump in the polls.  I suspect that she will.  Republicans that do the liberal kind of things, like disparaging opponents, and acting like global elitists, are what I call RINOs.  Just sayin'...

VIDEO: The Liberal's War on Black Conservatives

On Monday, March 31, 2014, I wrote the following in, "VIDEO: Why do Liberals attack black Conservatives?":

The black community needs honesty. The black Conservatives will provide the honesty that they need, but it is going to be difficult to get people to find out about the truth with the bombardment of the disinformation from people like Jamilah Lemieux that spew out their anti-Conservative disparagement, even when the messenger is black.

I was very happy to see Sean Hannity have both Juan Williams, a Fox News Political Analyst, and his son Raffi Williams, an RNC Deputy Press Secy, on as guests on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.  It was almost if they had read my above statement. However, Raffi says that he has received a lot of support, even from black liberals, and seems to be pretty emboldened, feeling that he's doing the right thing. And even though their ideologies are on opposite sides, you can tell that Raffi's biggest supporter is his dad, Juan Williams. Just sayin'...

VIDEO: Braley Gets Caught Bragging About Fighting Against Tort Reform

In a post written last week, Palin Endorses Ernst in Iowa Senate Race, I mentioned the slam on Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA). However, at that time, I had not yet discovered why Bruce Braley slammed Grassley for not being an attorney. It turns out that if the Republicans win back control of the U.S. Senate, Sen. Grassley would become the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and would likely allow tort reform legislation to go through.

Toward the end of her report, Shannon Bream mentioned one thing that should be a wake-up call:  The trial lawyers have managed to give overwhelmingly to Democrats without attracting much attention like donors do that give to GOP candidates and organizations.  Well, until now.  Thanks to Braley's arrogant remarks that were caught on video, we finally learn the truth.  And the truth ain't pretty when you realize how much frivolous law suits and huge settlements end up costing the consumer and keep our health costs skyrocketing (something that Obamacare failed to put a stop to!).  Just sayin'...

VIDEO: Why do Liberals attack black Conservatives?

There is a real truth that people on the Left need to know, but they refuse to hear it or believe it. I pretty much made the point in a blog I just posted recently, called, "Seven Hard Truths Liberals Just Don’t Want To Hear ~ By Kurt Schlichter." It really fits well into the puzzle, one of the pieces that I will give you here. This is the part where the Liberals have one basic attack strategy: Attack those that make their cause known for whatever it is!

While this great country has drifted to the Left, there will soon be more and more people that will get it! The black Conservatives are showing that there is a great alternative to Lyndon Baynes Johnson's Great Society. Sticking to values and principles that many of us grew up with will help anyone that wants to take responsibility for our future, regardless of race! But, heck, if those on the Left think that they can hide the truth forever that not all black American's have fallen for the lie that America willingly keeps them from prospering, there will be people like me that will serve the Truth to them until somebody comes and pries my keyboard from under my cold, dead hands.

As Kevin Jackson of the Blacksphere explains it:

Even Bill Maher is getting it. Maher was discussing Paul Ryan’s comments about what’s happening in the inner cities, and Bell decided to ring the racism bell. W Kamau Bell, the host of a show called “Totally Biased” proved to be exactly that. At least he’s honest about his racism, though he still needs to come to grip with his ignorance.

The black community needs honesty. And, surely, when the messenger is white like me. Jamilah won't like this post, I can assure you of that! Just sayin'...

Seven Hard Truths Liberals Just Don’t Want To Hear ~ By Kurt Schlichter

Liberalism is magical thinking promulgated by cynical exploiters upon the eternally gullible and the chronically lazy. It’s a political Ponzi scheme, and today’s participants are the unlucky marks coming in at the end of the grift.

Liberalism will collapse of its own dead weight. And when it does, you true believers better be ready for the hard truth that there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I need to continue on from what Kurt Schlichter said was Hard Truth Number 7:

And that leads to Hard Truth Number 7: This can’t go on.

Lady [Margaret] Thatcher famously formulated that, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.” And you will.

What I need to tell you is there are even more Hard Truths that you should know about:

Hard Truth Number 8: When the Ponzi system goes broke, the most likely result will be tyranny, and probably genocide. You probably will not be able to vote Conservatives into power; forget about trying to remove the likes of Harry Reid from control of the Senate; and we won't be taking back the White House anytime soon, either. In places like North Korea, the Dear Leader gets 100% of the vote.

Hard Truth Number 9:  There are Liberals that knew very well about the first eight Hard Truths, and that was their plan all along! Well, their plan for at least 100 years, anyway, was to upend our culture, eliminate religion, divide the population by race and class warfare, and dumb down the kids with the indoctrination centers they call public schools...

But, perhaps, there is one more Hard Truth to discuss.  What I consider to be Hard Truth Number 10: There are hardcore, gun-toting, Bible clinging "redneck" patriots out here that are going to make your plan much more difficult to achieve. This is Amazing America!!! This isn't the end of what some of us have to say.  It is not over yet!  I'm just sayin'...

It’s difficult to understand liberals when you don’t live in their sheltered cocoon of participation trophies, faux caring and feel-good lies.

Those of us who labor in the real world – who built this country, who make it work and who defend it – deal with reality. Most liberals don’t. And that can be baffling, because when they speak they sound like visitors from the planet Nimrod.

Now, some liberals do understand the real world. They are the cynical liberal icons, the ones who know their entire ideology is a scam designed to wring power and wealth from the gullible.

They are the rich ones who cry about poverty and racism then gleefully consign poor and minority kids to public school failure factories by doing the bidding of their unionized teacher partners and torpedoing educational choice. Their own kids wouldn’t get within a mile of an inner city public school, except maybe to swing by in the Mercedes C-Class they got for their 16th birthday to buy some weed from the gangbangers infesting it.

Video: The Enemy of the Press.... Finally?

I'll need to set up this video for you. I'm sure this was not a front page story in your local newspaper. As Andrew Beaujon wrote in a column on Poynter.com:

Nope!  Definitely not in this newspaper!

New York Times reporter James Risen, who is fighting an order that he testify in the trial of Jeffrey Sterling, a former CIA officer accused of leaking information to him, opened the conference earlier by saying the Obama administration is “the greatest enemy of press freedom that we have encountered in at least a generation.” The administration wants to “narrow the field of national security reporting,” Risen said, to “create a path for accepted reporting.” Anyone journalist who exceeds those parameters, Risen said, “will be punished.”

Now, all you have to know, is that Obama has his ways to silence dissent.  But it doesn't just happen to Conservatives.  Maybe the liberals will finally get the idea that violations of the First and Fourth Amendments can affect them too.  You don't have to be a Conservative to be an enemy of the State or that Obama could be an enemy of the Press.  Just sayin'...
