The thought that they would be the ones to head up an investigation makes a mockery of the process," said Englebrecht, who argued that the obvious decision should have been to appoint a special counsel to investigate that case, but the Obama administration wanted no part of that.

"A special prosecutor should have been assigned to this at the outset, and there is only one reason why that didn't occur," she said. "They didn't want the answers. If you don't want the answers, you engineer the system to not ask the questions. That's exactly what we've seen play out."

VIDEO: Lost IRS emails: Are they stupid or do they think we're stupid?

The hosts of The Five on the Fox News Channel brought up some obvious flaws in the Obama administration's excuse that two years of IRS email (including email of Ms. Lois Lerner and six other IRS officials) was missing due to a computer glitch. So, the story here is, either somebody was very incompetent in their job of protecting data, or the emails were "conveniently lost" with the expectation that nobody in the mainstream media would notice or care. Being that the story came out in the late Friday news dump last week, it would appear that the lack of media coverage was hoped for.

Well, here are my thoughts on this. I'm inclined to believe that the Obama administration is stupid for thinking that We the People are stupid. Some of us are compelled to follow the news, and see what's happening. We then do what we can to spread the news. This is one of those times. Just sayin'...

Take a Guess at the Excuse the IRS Is Using Not to Turn Over Lois Lerner’s Emails ~ By Pete Kasperowicz

“Just a short time ago, Commissioner [John] Koskinen promised to produce all Lerner documents,” Camp said. “It appears now that was an empty promise.

“Frankly, these are the critical years of the targeting of conservative groups that could explain who knew what when, and what, if any, coordination there was between agencies. Instead, because of this loss of documents, we are conveniently left to believe that Lois Lerner acted alone.”

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) responded to the news by asking the National Security Agency to turn over all the metadata it has collected on Lerner, in an effort to help find out more about who Lerner contacted.

“I have asked NSA Director Rogers to send me all metadata his agency has collected on Lois Lerner’s email accounts for the period which the House sought records,” said Stockman. “The metadata will establish who Lerner contacted and when, which helps investigators determine the extent of illegal activity by the IRS.”

If you guessed, "The dog ate my homework," you would not be far from being correct. Either our government is corrupt, or it is totally incompetent. We may never know without the email evidence that supposedly "vanished" recently.

We should think of it this way: The missing emails are not about protecting Lois Lerner. There is obviously somebody else that could be tied to the IRS scandal where they targeted Conservative groups. Gee, I wonder who that could be? Just sayin'...

The IRS has told Congress that it lost more than two years’ worth of emails involving former IRS official Lois Lerner, due to a computer crash.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich.) on Friday said it was “unacceptable” that he was just learning of this problem now, after a lengthy investigation into Lerner’s involvement in the IRS targeting scandal.

“The fact that I am just learning about this, over a year into the investigation, is completely unacceptable and now calls into question the credibility of the IRS’s response to congressional inquiries,” he said. “There needs to be an immediate investigation and forensic audit by Department of Justice as well as the Inspector General.”

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) indicated that he doesn’t believe the IRS is telling the truth.

“Do they really expect the American people to believe that, after having withheld these emails for a year, they’re just now realizing the most critical time period is missing?”

VIDEO: The Democrats really did have a bad day!

All in just one day, Kathleen Sebilius, former Secretary of HHS, resigns, Lois Lerner is being cited for contempt of Congress and now faces possible criminal prosecution, and now Mike Dickinson (D-VA), who was supposedly going to run against Eric Cantor (R-VA), gets demolished by Greta Van Susteren on her show, On the Record. The best part of the segment is when Greta tells Dickinson, "Haha, you're a piece of work" towards the end of the interview.

But before I could even post this video here, there is another very disturbing part to this story that just came out. Mediaite has a report that exposes the REAL truth about Dickinson:

Dickinson has made a bit of a name for himself this year by claiming that, if elected to Eric Cantor‘s House seat, he will wage war on the NRA, the tea party, and Fox News. Since then, he’s been in multiple Twitter wars and has appeared on Fox for confrontations with Sean Hannity and, on Thursday evening, Greta Van Susteren.

During his appearances, Fox labeled Dickinson as “(D-VA), Running For Congress.”

Just one problem with that: He’s not. At least not as a Democrat.

On Thursday morning, the Virginia 7th Congressional District Democratic Committee announced that it would cancel this year’s nominating convention, because no one had filed to run against incumbent Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

The filing deadline — Thursday, April 10th, at 5:00 p.m. — passed by without any forms submitted by Dickinson. The committee’s chair tells Mediaite that he notified the party at “last minute” that he was not going to file.

None of that was disclosed by Dickinson when he appeared on Fox News last night. (UPDATE: The committee chairwoman provided us with emails that show her requesting that Dickinson “let the show know that [he is] not a Democratic candidate.”)

He never bothered to correct Van Susteren’s introduction of him as a “Democratic congressional candidate.” Nor has he corrected any of the articles about his appearance that label him a “Democratic candidate.” Yet he is more than happy to promote articles about himself:

Greta was correct when she called him a "piece of work," although another word could have been substituted for "work" if Fox News wasn't family friendly.  But, we all know what Greta was thinking!

On the Mike Dickinson For Congress Facebook page, he actually posted the above Mediaite story.  Not surprisingly, many people posted comments that ridiculed Dickinson.  All of the comments that I saw were pretty derisive, but there was one Facebook user that put this latest (and probably last) chapter of  the Dickinson story in perspective, in just three words: "tagged and bagged."

So, perhaps, Dickinson may be concluding that his 15 minutes of fame - and making a total fool out of himself - is now over.  But, we must thank him for illustrating just how foolish liberals can be when they try to tell us how bad Fox News is, and that they lie.

Of course, we really didn't need Dickinson to tell us what we already knew. Whether it is Mike Dickinson, or Harry Reid saying on the Senate floor that all the people with horror stories about Obamacare are lying, their disparagement of anything Conservative is only going to be believed by other liberal idiots and/or those too ignorant to watch (any news!) and decide for themselves. Just sayin'...

Yet, it helps to have such an honest Democrat jumping on to Center Stage on Fox News, just to make sure we are confident that good Conservative candidates should have no problem demonstrating the fuzzy liberal logic that the Democrats will surely run on in the 2014 midterm election.

VIDEO: Mike Dickinson (D-VA) declares war on the 1st Amendment!

Really, you just can't make this up! A Democrat candidate for Congress, Virginia District 7, definitely knows how to draw attention. I'm afraid, though, it may not work out the way he is hoping. But, at least I'll give him credit for one thing: Mike Dickinson is honest! In fact, he points that out on his Facebook page:

America needs an honest Congressman who can accurately represent the interests of their constituents - I want to be that person for the VA 7th District.

Okay, we can give him a pass for being honest, but does he really believe that he can "accurately represent the interests of their constituents"? Okay, he probably couldn't afford to hire somebody to edit what he writes, either.  I wonder when this guy will finally realize that what goes around will eventually come around? Dickinson loves to disparage people, groups, and ideas, but how is he going to handle it when not only is he disparaged, but gets totally annihilated in the public arena?

House report traces IRS scandal to Obama ~ By Jerome Corsi

While the House Oversight Committee lacked documentation proving Lerner was given a direct order by the White House to discriminate against conservatives, the report demonstrated that Lerner, along with several other senior IRS officials, established in early 2011 a “multi-tier review” process that resulted in long delays for tax-exempt applications submitted by conservative organizations.

The report stressed Lerner’s goals in implementing procedures to delay or deny tax-exempt applications by conservative groups was to help Democrats to win elections.

“Even without her full testimony, and despite the fact that the IRS has still not turned over many of her e-mails, a political agenda to crack down on tax-exempt organizations comes into focus,” the report concluded. “Lerner believed the political participation of tax-exempt organizations harmed Democratic candidates, she believed something needed to be done, and she directed action from her unit at the IRS.”

Just like what Larry Klayman said in his column, "Anatomy of government cover-ups," nothing will come of the House Oversight Committee observations:

In so doing, President Barack Hussein Obama has used every dirty and lawless trick in the book to try to achieve his distorted and perverse mission, giving rise to what he has coined and dismisses as “phony scandals.” And to thus far cover up these scandals, he and his minions have used the traditional means of which I speak to keep truth and justice from the American people.

This is sad because, if Larry Klayman is correct, then how do we stop the obvious corruption? It is pretty suspicious after Lois Lerner's multiple uses of the Fifth Amendment that she has something to hide. At this point, what Lois Lerner is hiding is left up to speculation. However, when we look at the overwhelming evidence that the House Oversight Committee has found so far, you would think there would be a Special Prosecutor investigation and grand jury looking into what is going on.  I pray that Rep. Darrel Issa (R-CA) isn't going to stop here!  There needs to be a VERY PUBLIC call for a special prosecutor in this case!  I'm just sayin'...

NEW YORK – A House committee investigating the IRS scandal has found a link between President Obama’s criticism of the Citizens United Supreme Court decision and subsequent steps taken by IRS official Lois Lerner to discriminate against conservative groups.

Lerner was responding to political pressure in her efforts to clamp down on conservative organizations seeking tax-exempt status in the wake of the 2012 Supreme Court case Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, concluded a 141-page report released last Tuesday by the Republican-majority staff of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Lerner twice has invoked the Fifth Amendment and refused to answer questions in appearances before the committee.

The report clearly raised the question of whether or not the political pressure came from the White House.

“It’s not the job of the IRS to overrule the Supreme Court, and it’s not the job of the IRS to crush political movements its leaders dislike,” the report said. “Her deep involvement in this scheme raises even more questions about who else was involved – including at the White House.”

The report said Lerner “led efforts to scrutinize conservative groups while working to maintain a veneer of objective enforcement.”
