Did Trump Really Threaten to Veto the Stimulus Bill? ~ Ep. 1421 ~ The Dan Bongino Show

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode in his Show Notes (a.k.a. Newsletter!):
In this episode, I discuss the behind the scenes strategy the Trump team likely used to box in Pelosi on the Stimulus Bill.

Dan explains how the "pocket veto" works, and how President Trump is using it to stymie Nancy Pelosi's effort to pass the latest porkulous bill for "Covid-19 relief" funds.  Yes, Congress put an enormous amount of foreign and domestic spending (a.k.a. Pork) into the bill that was supposed to give relief to Americans that were adversely affected by the Chinese Virus pandemic (because the state and local governments made many business shut down).   The President regards the mere, paltry little $600 check Americans would receive as an insult after all this time, and that it should be $2,000.  And Pelosi rightly deserves the credit for delaying the bill that would help Americans, by not wanting it to go through before the election, to hurt the President.

Be sure to watch the whole episode, too, so that you don't miss Dan's segments about the teacher's unions and the Soviet-style media, and the Marxist left's insistence that Joe Biden create a "department of truth" to keep the media in line with their Socialist agenda.  In other words, they want to keep people like Dan Bongino, or me, silent.  And they definitely don't give a flip about our First Amendment rights, or any Constitutional Rights, for that matter.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!  I relaxed for a couple days,  and I'm getting excited now to see Dan's next episode on Monday! And, just in case you missed it, you can see Dan's Episode 1420 and my remarks about it here.

Because I know that Dan Bongino would prefer that I embed the Rumble.com video here, I am now doing that! It finally came to me how to do it, and I am very pleased, because it doesn't require me to use the JavaScript code to do it! So, when you are watching, you will not be seeing it via youtube.com again. Nope, not here. Ever!  No more screwtube embedded video here! Forevs! So, it's now RUMBLE all the way, Dan.  For Dan's show page on Rumble.com, click here.

TARP, recovery and now … this!

From WorldNetDaily
Congress scrambles to write economic 'jobs stimulus' 3.0 By Drew Zahn Posted: November 26, 2009 ~ 6:25 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama signed a combined nearly $1.5 trillion in federal spending in the attempt to correct the nation's economic tailspin, but with unemployment soaring over 10 percent, Congress is gearing up to pass yet another economic "stimulus" package, perhaps as soon as January. The Los Angeles Times reports that President Obama and fellow Democrats in particular are in process of assembling a new jobs package that would devote unspecified billions of dollars to projects meant to put people back on payrolls in 2010. The House version of "stimulus 3.0" may even be pushed through as quickly as next month. The Times cites Democratic House members disappointed that Obama's $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act wasn't larger and pledging to press a for a new, substantial spending plan to address unemployment. "I hope we don't play around the edges with this and we do what will work. Invest the money now," said Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif. "We have to create jobs, and we have to create them right away." Rep. John Carter, R-Texas, however, believes that more government spending will do nothing to solve unemployment. "There is no doubt that the original stimulus failed to create jobs, and has in fact probably cost additional jobs and prolonged the recession," he said. "To create jobs we need to lower the tax burden to stimulate investment, which is the exact opposite of what the Democrats did earlier this year and now contemplate again." READ FULL STORY >

Stonewall transparency ~ By Pat Boone

From WorldNetDaily
Pat Boone By Pat Boone Posted: November 07, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Let's see. I seem to remember a declarative, emphatic promise from candidate Barack Obama, something about "a new transparency in government." Yes, and a resounding, fervent promise by the newly elected President Obama: "My administration will bring a new transparency in our governance." That sounded so good, didn't it? Over the last several decades, the American people have become very angry about the many ways elected representatives have created to feather their own nests, curry favor with special-interest groups and, worst of all, enact legislation that restricts traditional freedoms – without consulting with the people who elected them. Candidate Obama, and the people who were composing his speeches, showed sensitivity to the simmering furor over "earmarks," giant slabs of "pork" added to appropriations and other bills in Congress. Elected politicians have used this sneaky, rotten process for many years; into a multi-billion-dollar bill these scoundrels salt their own local, self-serving, pet projects – often without their names attached – correctly assuming that a few million dollars here or there won't be noticed, and they'll be heroes to their constituents back home. All at the expense of unsuspecting, unknowing taxpayers. You and me. Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens sneaks in an appropriation of $140 million for a "bridge to nowhere." Pennsylvania's Rep. Jack Murtha saddles us with a new airport facility in his district, costing millions, to accommodate two or three flights a day – between Washington and his district. Candidate Obama swore that he'd veto any of these porky earmarks that found their way into any bill that crossed his desk. His promise of accountability – of transparency – of responsibility to the voting taxpayers sounded so great. He was elected by voters who believed his words. But the first appropriations bill that hit his presidential desk contained $7.7 billion in nearly 9,000 earmarks. And he signed it. When questioned about it, he lamely explained that all this pork had been buried in the bill before and during his election – as if that validated it and excused him from his vow. Then he and his advisers quickly devised an $847 billion "stimulus plan" that would "bail out" our lending institutions and auto manufacturers, saving and creating thousands of new jobs and stimulating our crippled, struggling economy. This gigantic, frightening plan was put into play without any consultation with the voters, the taxpayers who would have to fund the whole thing. Right on the heels of that mind-numbing exercise, a new mandate for a gigantic government-run health-care plan was announced – one that the majority of Americans say they don't really want – one that would cost an estimated one and a quarter trillion dollars. The Democrat-controlled House and Senate appeared ready to roll over and rubber-stamp the administration's wishes, again without giving the voting public any say in it whatsoever. In fact, one House bill was over a thousand pages, and was delivered to our cowed representatives the night before they were expected to pass it – without even reading it! What kind of "transparency" was this? Well, the general public, aroused voters by the millions, began to assemble in the offices of their representatives, in town meetings and demonstrations – astounding the administration in a show of anger and militant resistance to these heavy-handed methods that would saddle us all with massive debt and unwanted programs. Obama's uncompromising inner man ~ By David Limbaugh

From WorldNetDaily
David Limbaugh By David Limbaugh Posted: October 23, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 It's amazing that Barack Obama still has some fooled into believing he's a model of post-partisanship. Sure, he's as friendly and congenial as they come, as long as you agree with him – 100 percent. When on-script, he is mostly measured, reasonable-sounding and – being a good reader – occasionally eloquent. But when he ventures off-script, he often sounds less sophisticated, petty and even mean-spirited. In those moments, there's no hiding the inner man. We see his inner man on renegade YouTube clips of his speeches to completely friendly audiences where he wasn't expecting to be heard outside the venue, as with his ridiculing of small-town Americans as bitter clingers. His unmasked face often reveals a marked contemptuousness for those who don't share his worldview. He not only doesn't practice bipartisanship but also refuses even to debate the issues, treating dissenters as ill-motivated, disingenuous obstructionists. I was reminded of this as I played a video posted on RealClearPolitics in which Obama – candid, un-coached and bereft of his usual trappings of urbanity – launched into opponents of Obamacare. He gently scolded the Democratic dissenters as "an opinionated bunch" who can "be their own worst enemies" but who at least "think for themselves." "I like that in ya," he said with dripping, head-patting condescension – as if it's a deviation from adherence to absolute truth if you disagree with him on any particular. And that tone was for his "friends." As for Republicans, he said, "the other side, they just sometimes kind of do what they're told." [CLICK HERE TO READ MORE]

Too pig to fail ~ By Doug Powers

If the pork industry continues to be harmed by the name "swine flu," are you thinking what I'm thinking? "Pork bailout!" Soon we may be told that the industry is "too pig to fail." If the name of the flu makes people have an aversion to whatever said flu is named after, why doesn't the Obama administration just call it "tobacco flu"? (Or, you could ask, "Why whine about swine when the name works fine?") read more | digg story

Grab your Indian gear - The American Tea Party happens on Friday

As many of you may have heard, there is a revolt brewing over the Democrats' grotesque tax and spending boondoggle. A trillion dollars belonging to future generations of Americans has been blown on absolute garbage. The Liberals are abuzz about how Obama has done more in 30 days than any president in history. On that, I would agree. It took us 232 years to get to a $1 trillion national debt. Obama doubled it in 30 days. Yesterday the Frankenstein Democrats in the House unveiled their monster Omnibus spending bill (one wit noted that the Omnibus is the Stimulus's retarded little brother) with another $410 billion of pure pork products, including 9,000 (pigs') earmarks.
