Pat Buchanan: Where's affirmative action in U.S. Senate?

Pat Buchanan bristles at the thought: While one governor wants to appoint Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, who doesn't vote and talks like a, you know, valley girl, not-yet-convicted Gov. Blagojevich appoints a highly qualified Roland Burris and Sen. Reid shows his hubris. Pat says it's hypocrisy, and the Senators should practice what they preach! read more | digg story

  1. I would say that Pat Buchanan hits it out of the park on this one!

Democrat Senators: Caroline "the Valley Girl" Kennedy Schlossberg - No problem, you know? Roland Burris, first African-American to be elected statewide for an office in Illionois - No WAAAAAY!

And yet, the Senate Democrats are always whining that everybody must make their institutions look like America, but where is their affirmative action when it comes to having a Senate, even if just the Democrat Caucus, look like America? I agree, Pat, that is sheer hypocrisy!
