President Obama, like Bill Clinton, will have to operate in campaign mode in order to stave off the pesky slings and arrows of reality. Whether the establishment press will be able to buffalo Americans indefinitely remains to be seen. But, it now appears that his image has been crafted so carefully that it is effectively unassailable.
