Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Sunday, Jan 15, 2012

Thanks to Patrice Lewis for the motivating words she wrote in her column on Friday, I was in the mood, or as I'm now saying, in the WIFLI mode, today. Yesterday... umm... not so much.

While in the WIFLI mode today, I found the columns of both Patrice Lewis and Henry Lamb. I felt the need to explain the relationship between the two. It took me awhile before I discovered the treasure right in front of me.

And the BIG story is right in front of us ALL!

I probably hit the nail right on the head in my previous rant two days ago when I talked about how the media discusses the art of destroying a wonderful individual because of his core beliefs. The poster boy of being able to deflect or absorb personal attacks, of course, would be Tim Tebow. And, in the mean time, we have this conflict going on in the Republican Party for a 2012 nominee, where it seems the only answer to political aggression is an aggressive counter-attack.

Don't you wish GOP candidates
- or, at least... one of them - had the commitment and tenacity of a guy like Tim Tebow? (Or Herman Cain awhile back?)

I am very afraid of what this coming election in November 2012 will bring us. Can any of the remaining GOP candidates survive an onslaught of attacks from each other, along with from the media?

Yes, today was one of those WIFLI days. But I understand how Patrice Lewis feels when nothing is providing a spark to write SOMETHING. But while credit can be given to Tim Tebow and Patrice Lewis for getting me to write today, they were just the tools God used to get us motivated at this time. I'm just sayin'...

No go for Tebow: Brady ties playoff record with 6 touchdown passes

Was this any more of a stupid story than this related article?
It worked for Charlie Sheen, so can a dose of good ol’ Salem witchcraft help Tom Brady exorcize Tim Tebow tomorrow night?
And apparently, it unfortunately worked.... Really?  No, I think people like Tim won this round!

Columnists and Their Commentaries:

Professional politician; inept President
From RenewAmerica.com ~ By Henry Lamb ~ January 15, 2012

HENRY LAMB
Several of the Republican candidates have said that the 2012 elections are the most important elections in our lifetime. They are. The current powers in Washington, most of the media, as well as academia, want the nation to abandon, or at least, to reinterpret the U.S. Constitution to justify the Marxist idea that government should manage society. These folks are winning the battle.

They're winning because they've been working at it for a century. "They" are the progressives, like Barack Hussein Obama, who actually believe that government is a better manager of society and the economy than are free people in a free market. Obama apparently believes that his position endows him with the wisdom to make right decisions, regardless of the fact that he has had no real-life experience at anything other than organizing street protests.   READ MORE
And here is another profound excerpt from Henry's great commentary that I am emphasizing:
His adoring press amplified Obama's criticism of the Republican-controlled House for not approving his jobs bill, which included a healthy tax increase. "We can't wait," was his cry to the public. He failed to mention that the Republican House had passed more than 20 jobs bills that the Democrat-controlled Senate refused to even consider. He failed to mention that more than 20,000 jobs were left awaiting only his approval on the Keystone Pipeline project — studied for more than three years by the EPA.

Tebowing for life
Exclusive: Patrice Lewis hates football but loves the light QB is shining
From WND Opinion ~ By Patrice Lewis ~ Published Friday, Jan 13, 2012

PATRICE LEWIS
Sometimes it’s hard to write a column every single week. Sometimes an idea “sings” to me and I can pound out a column in an hour. Other times it’s like pulling teeth.

This week it was pulling teeth. I had a couple of concepts, but nothing that “sang” to me enough to put it on paper and make logical sense of it.

Then late Thursday night I read an article about Tim Tebow, the Denver Bronco’s quarterback, and I knew I had my subject.    READ MORE
(Hey, Patrice, I know the feeling about writing on a regular basis, especially on a set schedule! The ideas don't always come to me, either.  That was why I had to change the name of my posts from "Time 2 Escape Daily" to "Time 2 Escape WIFLI".  I found it more honest to call my posts "When I Feel Like It!" ...  Oh, and by the way, I wonder if the article about Tim Tebow that Patrice saw was this one? I included that one in my WIFLI on Friday. Or, perhaps it is the blog that I am including below?)

Tebow in the Termite Mound
From Out of Order: the Blog ~ By Dale ~ Thursday, January 12, 2012

In the Babylon of Daniel the prophet, worshiping the wrong God openly got you a one-way ticket to the Lion's Den. The same offense today gets you thrown into America's leftist media Termite Mound. Bill Maher, Bill Press and their ilk are to our social fabric what the termite is to architecture. The two Bills spearheaded the recent vicious attacks on Tim Tebow. Chris Matthews: Alinsky 'our hero'

From WorldNetDaily
MSNBC host hails radical community organizer By Aaron Klein Posted: December 25, 2009 ~ 10:55 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily Saul AlinskyJust five days after affirming on air that he is a liberal, MSNBC host Chris Matthews exclaimed that radical community organizer Saul Alinsky is one of his heroes. Stated Matthews: "Well, to reach back to one of our heroes from the past, from the '60s, Saul Alinsky once said that even though both sides have flaws in their arguments and you can always find something nuanced about your own side you don't like and it's never perfect, you have to act in the end like there's simple black and white clarity between your side and the other side or you don't get anything done. "I always try to remind myself of Saul Alinsky when I get confused," Matthews said on his "Hardball" show, speaking to guest Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, on the topic of President Obama's health care plan. See video of Matthews' comments:
Here is another very important excerpt from this column:
Former 1960s radical and FrontPageMagazine Editor David Horowitz describes Alinsky as the "Communist/Marxist fellow-traveler who helped establish the dual political tactics of confrontation and infiltration that characterized the 1960s and have remained central to all subsequent revolutionary movements in the United States." Horowitz writes in his 2009 pamphlet, "Barack Obama's Rules for Revolution. The Alinsky Model":
"The strategy of working within the system until you can accumulate enough power to destroy it was what sixties radicals called 'boring from within.'.... Like termites, they set about to eat away at the foundations of the building in expectation that one day they could cause it to collapse."

Two can play at that game. And we can do it better and without corruption, registering dead people, Mickey and convicts to vote or being paid to organize by a corrupt organization doing the bidding of a thug Administration. We will organize because we love this great nation. The greatest country under God. And we will fight to defend her and to protect her Constitution from those in Washington who wish to destroy her!!! Glenn Beck: Obama Is Just Like Saul Alinsky

From 0bamasecrets on youtube.com Posted on youtube.com: June 16, 2009 There is a reason why I have posted this video on the blog this morning. In this segment of "The One Thing," Glenn Beck is comparing Barack Hussein Obama to Saul Alinsky, who wrote about community organizing in "Rules For Radicals." This is the kind of background information that you need to help you to "connect the dots" and understand what the underlying agenda really is of this "Change and Hope" President. To assist you even further, be sure to see other segments of Glenn Beck which you can see at GlennBeckClips.com or GlennBeckDailyClips at youtube.com.

A faux messiah faces test of his life ~ By David Limbaugh

David LimbaughBy David Limbaugh Posted: August 21, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 President Barack Obama has run into a brick wall: the American people, who cherish their liberty and revere their nation and do not want it remade in Obama's socialist image. Obama's free-falling poll numbers are not the result of a misinformation campaign from a small sliver of unruly conservative opponents, as the administration wants you to believe. They are a reflection of the public's reaction to Obama's policies and his own comprehensive misinformation campaign to dupe the people into believing America is unsalvageable without fundamental change. When Obama promised to bring fundamental change to America, most Americans, fortunately for him, did not take him literally. He offered them "hope" at a time when the economy was going south; political partisanship had reached new levels of acrimony, and people were weary of a protracted, albeit successful, war in Iraq. But most voters had no idea just how much change Obama had in mind. [READ ENTIRE COLUMN]

The Democrats' 'control gene' ~ By Henry Lamb

By Henry Lamb Posted: August 08, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 There must be some yet-undiscovered gene in the DNA of people who feel the need to control others. Kings, mullahs, tyrants, despots, dictators and Democrats are all afflicted with this malady. Not since Franklin Roosevelt has evidence of this disorder been so rampant in Washington. The Obama regime is restructuring and empowering government to ensure that all people everywhere are subject to its control. First, understand the strategy: 1) identify problem(s); 2) devise action plan; 3) authorize plan in law; 4) implement plan. Urgent problems the Obama regime has identified include: the economy, global warming and health care. Further down the priority list are Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Russia, education, national security, national sovereignty, and at the very bottom of the list are the concerns of people who are not infected with the "control" gene. At the heart of Obama's action plan to deal with every problem is the principle of government control over individual action. Consider the first problem: the economy. Obama's first action was to infuse failing financial institutions with borrowed money, with government strings attached. In exchange for the money, government gained veto power over the management of private corporations. Had the people in power not been infected with the "control" gene, financial institutions that had made bad business decisions would have paid the consequences, and the self-correcting free-market financial system would, ultimately, have been stronger. But alas, the poisoned tentacles of government now permeate the financial system. The auto industry, an important part of the economy, experienced the same kind of intrusion, with direct government control over the naming of CEOs, directors, budgets and operating plans. Consider the second problem: global warming. The immediate plan of action was for government to take control over private industries that emit carbon dioxide – that is every business that uses fossil fuel. The plan, euphemistically labeled "cap and trade," would arbitrarily limit the quantity of carbon emissions that could be produced by every business. Government control would be exercised in the form of a tax levied against every business that exceeds the government-dictated emission limit. Government's power to tax behavior it does not want, and to reward with tax rebates and incentives the behavior it does want, allows the state to virtually control the behavior of the people. The "cash for clunkers" program, for example, gives $4,500 of your tax dollars to individuals who behave the way governments wants. Ultimately, the cost of Obama's global warming action plan will cost individuals thousands of dollars each year, and will be passed on to everyone who uses energy. It doesn't matter to the people who are infected with the "control" gene that the global warming action plan will not affect global climate in any detectible way. Now consider health care. Obama's plan of action is what he calls a "public option." This is a government-run insurance program financed with your tax dollars. Rep. Barney Frank correctly identifies this program as the first step toward a single-payer health care system. A single-payer (read: government payer) system puts the entire health care system under the direct control of the government. Consequently, every individual who needs health care would be subject to the whims of a government bureaucrat or the winds of political favor. These are the problems and a brief description of the plans of action. Now take a look at the process by which the plans are given the authority of law. The Obama regime relies heavily on the Cloward-Piven strategy for forcing change through orchestrated crisis. This is the strategy that informed Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and ACORN community organizer Barack Obama. This strategy consists of overwhelming the system with evidence of the problem to effect a predetermined solution. [CONTINUE READING]

What Obama meant by 'change' ~ By Joseph Farah

By Joseph Farah Posted: July 16, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 We all know Barack Obama's roots. We all know what he did to pave the way to the presidency We all know the company he kept. Obama was a Chicago "community organizer" who rubbed shoulder with some of the most radical and revolutionary socialists and communists of our time. One of his inspirations was Saul Alinsky, author of the infamous "Rules of Radicals," [Actually, that should be "Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals" (1971) Random House] a book he actually dedicated in its original manuscript form to Lucifer. "Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer." Alinsky is living in that kingdom now, eternally I trust – having died 14 years ago. It was Alinsky's Chicago disciples who took the young Obama under their wings. Though Alinsky was as subversive as they come, he believed in "working within the system" to achieve his Marxist-Satanist goals. And this is what we need to understand about the way Obama is leading the country today. Many of us look around and wonder if America can ever recover. We wonder why he's moving so fast toward his goals of killing the free-enterprise system. We wonder why we've never seen anything like this before. Americans are despairing. The man who preached hope is sapping them of it. We're feeling lost, frustrated. I think this quote from Alinsky will help explain it all. It turns out it's all intentional. You're feeling the way you're feeling because that's the plan – that's the goal. "There's another reason for working inside the system," Alinsky explained. "Dostoevsky said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution." Do you get the picture? You're feeling that way because that's the way they want you to feel. They want you to give up. They want you to look around and conclude there is no hope. [CONTINUE READING]

[NOTE TO JOSEPH FARAH: I've been thinking... Maybe there is a reason why Obama won't (or CAN'T) produce a birth certificate... It probably wouldn't look good for him if it showed his father is... Lucifer! Nah.... couldn't be... Although, he does show a lot of intent on hiding his birth record! There must be a reason.]

None dare call it Marxism ~ By David Limbaugh

By David Limbaugh Posted: July 03, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 All right already. I won't call Obama a Marxist in this column. Instead, I'll point to some signs that indicate that Barack and Karl might well be soul mates. At least, they have similar attitudes about capital, labor and profits, er, surplus value. Liberals, even those of the Marxist variety, take umbrage when you point out their ideological kinship with Marxism. I suppose this dates back to the days when being a communist was tantamount to being an enemy of the United States, in that there was a global communist movement intent on – and coming darn close to – world domination. Though global communism has been defeated, there remains a strong contingent among us, whose nerve center is the Democratic Party leadership under President Obama, committed to obliterating America's free market. Without getting into the intricacies of Marxist theory, suffice it to say that at the core of this political and economic philosophy is a belief in the historical class struggle. The capitalist (bourgeois) exploits the industrial worker (proletarian) by underpaying him and adding on unnecessary charges to the prices of goods and services, driving up costs to the consumer, and pocketing the profits. In "Basic Economics," Thomas Sowell puts it this way: "Profits may be the most misconceived subject in economics. Socialists have long regarded profits as simply 'overcharge,' as Fabian socialist George Bernard Shaw called it, or a 'surplus value' as Karl Marx called it." The theory is that under socialism or Marxism, these surplus charges would be eliminated and goods and services would become more affordable. But in reality, socialism doesn't make goods and services more affordable, but less so. As Dr. Sowell explains: "The hope for profits and the threat of losses is what forces a business owner in a capitalist economy to produce at the lowest cost and sell what the customers are most willing to pay for. ... Under socialism (there is) far less incentive to be as efficient ... much less to keep up with changing conditions and respond to them quickly." With less incentive for efficiencies and cost control, the prices of goods might well be higher. Profits are not arbitrary charges added on to the costs of producing goods and services; nor are they attributable to artificially high prices charged by those motivated by greed. Indeed, writes Sowell, most of the great fortunes in American history were amassed when entrepreneurs were able to reduce costs and charge lower prices and to increase their volume sales to mass markets. You get the point. Capitalists don't view profits as evil or the product of greed. Their opponents – call them Marxists, fascists, socialists, radical liberals or whatever – do. Which brings us back to Barack Obama. Both his father, Barack Obama Sr., and his mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, were communists. His church of choice was one of black liberation theology, whose Marxist roots are inarguable. He associated with far leftists on the "organizing" streets of Chicago, including Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. Mentorship and associations are one thing, but what have Obama's words and actions revealed about his attitudes toward labor, capital, profits and government control of business and industry? Five Keys to Persuasive Online Advocacy

By Brandon Martin Many conservative politicos are eager to emulate the Left’s organizational success online. One such strategist we respect frequently talks about “community organizing” online and has developed considerable expertise in implementing the Left’s playbook . We, too, have noticed the funding and manpower of groups like Organize for America and MoveOn.org and the zealous dedication of the Left’s many standout bloggers like DailyKos and Wonkette. But, the more we monitor the growing conservative counter-revolution on-line, the more we think that the independent-Right should be focused not only on studying their adversaries’ strengths, but also on how to avoid their frequent mistakes. Here are five places to start... [Click here to continue reading!]
