Obama's 'army' crashes colleges for health 'reform'

Students recruited to lobby Congress in major push for Obamacare Posted: November 05, 2009 ~ 11:54 pm Eastern By Chelsea Schilling © 2009 WorldNetDaily President Obama's "grassroots army" has descended upon college campuses, knocking on dorm doors to recruit students and slam lawmakers with phone calls pushing health-care "reform." Obama for America, Obama's 2008 political campaign, merged with the Democratic National Committee in January and is now known as Organizing for America. The grassroots army that some refer to as "Obama 2.0" is hosting a contest to see which college can call the most state and U.S. representatives by the end of November, the Arizona State University campus newspaper reports. According to the report, Arizona OFA Director Jessica Jones said students may win bragging rights and other prizes if they blast legislators with the most calls in favor of health-care legislation. OFA plans to have chapters present at all Pacific-10 school campuses. The Pacific-10 universities are the University of Arizona; Arizona State University; University of California, Berkeley; University of Oregon; Stanford University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of Southern California; University of Washington; and Washington State University. [Left off the list by author was Oregon State University.] The organization is urging students to sign a pledge promising they will contact lawmakers in support of Obama's health plan. Jones told ASU's State Press that OFA has two goals with its contest: "We really want to get students excited about OFA and get them involved in the organization. The other purpose is to engage in competition as a community, to show how many people want health-care reform and that [individuals are] not the only one[s] working on it." Political science major Erik Carlson, a Tempe campus intern for OFA, said he's forming an OFA chapter on the Arizona State University campus. He told the newspaper his group will make phone calls, set up an information booth and go door-to-door in residence halls to convince students to make the pledge. "We usually ask people if they support the president, and if they do, we ask them if they would mind calling their representative to voice their support on health care reform," he said. This has nothing to do with race, nationality, ethnicity or gender; it has to do with the philosophical excrement that finds a ready haven in the hearts and minds of men and women. Utilizing a formulaic strategy and aid from willing participants in Congress, Barack Obama participated in bringing the U.S. economy to its knees via the accursed Community Reinvestment Act before even being elected. Since his election, and in the aftermath of the economic implosion of late 2008, Obama hurriedly and wantonly spent what will ultimately amount to trillions of taxpayer dollars. He has effectively taken over the U.S. auto industry and appointed a shadow government of over three dozen "czars" who answer only to him. At present, he is attempting to transfer one-sixth of the American economy to control of the federal government via "health-care reform," and has an attorney general who is taking steps to dangerously compromise our intelligence agencies at a time of war. Obama has employed dedicated communists, former Black Panthers and other subversives to administer government and craft sinister and insidious forms of legislation that will secure unprecedented and perilously potent authority for his administration. Throughout 2007 and 2008, I and certain of my colleagues charged that, if elected, Obama would attempt to actualize the Marxist vision he had held all of his adult life (but cloaked with help from the establishment press) and substantially weaken the U.S. as a world power. We were ridiculed, maligned and slandered. Now that this is in fact occurring, although the deceived and true believers deny it and continue to support Obama, many ordinary Americans are now feeling the sting of derision from those who seek to relieve us of our constitutionally guaranteed liberties. Convince the American people we're not communists, get into office, and take over … To my knowledge, the above was never actually uttered by anyone now in government. By becoming a National Organizing Intern, you'll be part of the grassroots effort to make the change we fought for a reality in 2009 and beyond," it states. Following the growing successes of the anti-socialist, anti-tax tea party demonstrations being held across the nation, Democrats are doing their best to squash the political uprising. With thousands of Americans standing up in protest to out of control government spending, the White House has stuck his head in the sand. When asked about the tea party demonstrations, the White House responded, “the president is unaware of the tea parties and will hold his own event today.” Maybe Obama plans to sick his Civilian National Security Force on the tea party-goers. Illinois liberal and Obama crony, Rep. Jan Schakowsky attacked the tea party demonstrators, calling them “despicable” and “shameful.” She answered, “the tea parties being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs.” Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi accused the grassroots efforts of being an “AstroTurf” disguise, controlled by the rich elite in an effort to maintain tax cuts for the rich. She explained, “they want [a] continuation of the failed economic policies of George Bush, which got us into the situation we’re in now.” She continued, “…this [tea party] initiative is funded by the high end. We call it AstroTurf.
