Planned Parenthood shooter not fitting left's stereotype

Robert Lewis Dear registered to vote as 'female,' previously charged as Peeping Tom

So far, Robert Lewis Dear, 57, of Hartsel, Colorado, is disappointing those who tried to stereotype pro-life Christians as terrorists.

No evidence of Dear’s involvement or even opinion on the issue of abortion or religion has surfaced. Pro-life groups denounced the shooting and indicated they had neither interacted with or heard of him.
And before they even knew anything about the alleged perpetrator of a shooting in Boulder, Colorado, the Anti-Christian Troll Kiddies were firing off tweets and social media posts saying that it was another example of a white right-wing Republican Christian going off the deep-end and attacking an abortion clinic. Call it domestic terrorism if you wish, but there has yet to be an iota of evidence that links the shootings to any kind of religious group, let alone any Christian organization.

However, we must be clear about the fact that there can be crazy people of any race, nationality, gender identification, religious belief or political ideology. The domestic terrorists label should not be pinned on any specific group because of the actions of an individual that may fall into the wide scope of profiles, usually somewhere out in the fringes of society. Just sayin'...

Planned Parenthood shooter not fitting left's stereotype
Robert Lewis Dear Throughout Friday's six-hour armed standoff at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood facility that left three dead and nine wounded, social media feasted on the fact the gunman was described as a white man, as WND reported. It didn't take long for that meager piece of information to morph into "Christian," "pro-lifer," and "Republican,"…

Cross purposes ~ By Pat Boone

Commentary from WorldNetDaily
Pat Boone By Pat Boone Posted: December 05, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 I've mentioned here before that each Veterans Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day, sometimes Thanksgiving Day as well, I make my way to the huge, beautiful Veterans' Cemetery in Westwood. I walk among the tens of thousands of markers and monuments, read the names and dates on many of them – out loud – and thank them for giving their very lives in the service of our country. I thank them for sacrificing their dreams, families and lives, so that we all might live ours. The vast majority of those monuments are crosses. Yes, there are quite a few with Jewish stars on them. I've seen a few Muslim symbols and even one Buddhist circular one, very pretty. I've seen no atheist markers. Since our colonial days, and through all our wars, the great majority of our fighting men and women marched into battle beneath our American flag and, whether it was visibly displayed or not, under a cross. It was, and is, a symbol of faith in God, a prayer for His protection and blessing and a fervent hope that He will somehow work on their behalf, to bring them home to their loved ones again. Most did come home, some wounded, some maimed for life, but still alive. Too many did not. But those who lost their lives fighting for our country, and for our cherished freedoms, died believing that the loving God symbolized by that cross would welcome them into eternal habitations. Their families were comforted in that same belief, and if the body was returned home, it was lovingly laid to rest – under a cross. I suspect that the young Jewish men and women in our military have had similar experiences, encouraged and strengthened, and finally comforted by the Star of David. Perhaps Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus as well, by their symbols. I have no idea what atheists do in these circumstances. There is obviously no religious symbol to feed hope or comfort loss. There is no expectation of reunion, or afterlife, or anything. There is only death – and nothing. Perhaps that's why a growing number of atheists and the atheist-driven ACLU are so militantly and vehemently trying to remove all crosses from public life, off public buildings, out of sight and out of mind. Ignorance: A death sentence ~ By Pat Boone

From WorldNetDaily
Pat BooneBy Pat Boone Posted: October 10, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily I've been writing these weekly columns four years now. I don't get paid, and that's not even a consideration. It's a privilege to mount this soap box and speak my mind freely, especially when I think I've got something valuable or necessary to say. And I've learned to expect varied responses, since not everybody will agree with my opinions and judgments. Most of the e-mails forwarded to me are quite favorable, and that's a reward for taking the trouble. I wish I could respond to all of them. But some – some are so vituperative, so caustic or so downright ignorant that I wish even more I could respond to them. They need somebody to set them straight. I've been watching the Pompous Propagandist, Michael Moore, on all the talk shows, railing against evil capitalism and promoting his latest skewed screed of a film. He victimized me in his first one, by way of thanking me for trying to help him. He's made upwards of $300 million on his films and wants to make a lot more. And he's doing it, by the way, by skillfully (if fraudulently) utilizing the very capitalistic system he's trashing. [YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO CLICK HERE TO READ MORE!]

Christians, here come the lions ~ By Pat Boone

By Pat Boone Posted: June 13, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 WARNING: This column is written for, and addressed to, America's Christians only. Well, maybe devout Jews as well, but no one else. People of other faiths, or no particular faith at all, probably won't comprehend the looming danger or see anything to be concerned about. But this is a three alarm, red alert wake-up call for people who are serious about their Judeo-Christian religion. The end of our religious freedom in America could be at hand. Can you believe it? In "the land of the free, the home of the brave," the one country in human history whose original purpose was to create and preserve absolute religious freedom for all? The nation whose foundational documents, its Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and its subsequent Bill of Rights, specifically guaranteed that government would absolutely keep its grubby hands off its citizens' freedom to exercise their faith however, whenever and wherever they choose? I've always been awed by the incredible courage of the early Christians (many of whom were Jews). Human beings just like us, bound up in their cultures as we are in ours, who became willing to sacrifice everything – everything including their very lives – rather than repudiate or abandon their faith in God. They were tortured and persecuted in so many ways, but I think the most terrifying trials came in the Colosseum in Rome when Christian men and women were herded out into the arena, sometimes tied to posts, and left to be torn to pieces and devoured by ravenous lions. I still shudder when I imagine myself one of those fervent believers, just wanting to worship and serve God as I believe He wants me to, being forced to face the unreasoning, snarling beasts that will literally devour me, just because of my professed faith. Another reason I'm thankful to be living here and now instead of there and then. But now that time is seeming less distant! Our new president, his administration, a Congress and much of the judiciary ruled by ultra-liberal, "progressive" and humanistic men and women, egged on and abetted by the ACLU, are actively making plans and devising bills that will force Christians to either obey the new laws, or be fined, jailed – or who knows? Perhaps physically punished, imprisoned, or worse. You think I'm exaggerating? Think again. [Continue reading]

YouTube community tells Christian kid to kill himself

Christian 12-year-old slammed for posting views on homosexuality By Drew Zahn © 2009 WorldNetDaily A self-described Christian 12-year-old boy who dared post his views on same-sex marriage on the popular Internet video site, YouTube, has since been ridiculed and insulted by tens of thousands of comments that attack the boy, his sexuality and his faith. "Kill Christianity, and then kill yourself," responded a YouTube community member identified as greenacidfusion. A commenter calling himself WizzyBoy 520 added, "How do you know the Bible isn't full of lies? You, just like everyone who is against gay marriage, is a mentally retarded bigot. No exceptions. Now go to h---." Thousands of others have simply slammed the boy by calling him a "homo" or making comments like the one from chao129: "You are against gay marriage because you are a fag in denial." The boy identifies himself only by the name Scott and the YouTube member name ChristianU2uber. His 13 videos have become a YouTube sensation, approaching 1 million hits over the last four weeks, making ChristianU2ber the thirteenth most-viewed YouTube contributor in the "Gurus" channel over the past month. With his popularity, however, have come tens of thousands of comments from the YouTube community, the vast majority of them insulting. His video "Gay Marriage – Is It Right or Wrong?" (see below) generated over 11,000 comments by press time, mostly critical, many laced with profanity. [Continue reading]

Replacing God ~ By Nancy Morgan

By Nancy Morgan Less than 3 months into the Obama administration, we are no longer a Christian nation. While speaking in Ankara, Turkey this week, President Obama made an astonishing proclamation. He claimed, "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation." Instead, he said, "We are a nation of citizens," essentially assigning fealty to "the state" over fealty to God. The world listened, and nodded. Back home in the U.S., Newsweek editor Jon Meacham welcomed The End of Christian America: "The decline and fall of the modern religious right's notion of a Christian America creates a calmer political environment and, for many believers, may help open the way for a more theologically serious religious life." I guess it's settled. God is now outdated, at least among our political and media elite. In their worldview, what they sneeringly call the religious right is now merely a fringe group. America itself has evolved to a higher plane. A more progressive plane, if you will. The overwhelming majority of Americans who profess faith in God are being told that the times have changed. Christianity, our ruling elite inform us, is only one of many religions, all of which are equal. In case we don't get it, President Obama, while abroad, expressed a deep appreciation for the Islamic faith while, here at home, he appointed a gay-rights activist to the federal government's faith-based initiative. Said activist described Pope Benedict XVI and certain Catholic bishops as "discredited leaders." Get it? The election of Barack Obama has ushered in a new era in the war for hearts and minds in America. Obama, representing the Left, believes that man, not God, is omnipotent, thus paving the way for man (Obama) to take control of every facet of life in America. Obama and the government know best. They are now in charge. [Continue reading] digg story ~ Submitted by Landthatilove

Christians: The new political lepers ~ By Pat Boone

Feeding off the campaign of intimidation, litigation and disinformation by the ACLU, the militant anti-religion Freedom from Religion Foundation has filed against Shirley Dobson, chairperson of the National Day of Prayer, claiming that the Day of Prayer creates a "hostile environment" for non-believers and that it "violates the First Amendment". read more | digg story

Palestinian Group Admits to Victimizing Kids at a Christian Concert - By Holly Borei

Pro-Palestinian Group Admits To Victimizing Attendees At Christian Concert By Holly Borei After a little research, it appears that I may have found the toads responsible for attacking the children trying to attend the Christian concert in Charlotte on January 11, 2008. Click here to see the original report. I had a feeling that the group responsible was a little too proud of themselves to keep it quiet and it appears that I was right. Here is an excerpt from the blog article titled "Jan. 11 Free Palestine Protesters Shut Down Pro-U.S./Israeli War Rally," by David Dixon of the "Charlotte Free Gaza Movement" as published on "Action Center for Justice." Vox Day: God and the economy

Beneath neo-atheist's logical blunders and factual errors lies the falsehood that reason is capable of dictating individual belief. The embrace of religious faith is an abandonment of belief in the fraudulent progressive narrative that 'society becomes more peaceful and prosperous' through commitment to science and reason. read more | digg story, submitted by RSandman

Glenn Beck: Fake Conservatives are Media's Delight

This story is from a transcript of the Glenn Beck show that I was listening to Friday (20NOV) morning as I was working on my blog column, Kathleen Parker's Low Opinion of Evangelical Christians. I have posted this with BigTomato's description, which is accurate, but it doesn't tell the story of what Glenn Beck is talking about, at least from my perspective (see Related Story below.) Make sure you click on read more to understand why this means something very important to me. Back in the day you used to have to accomplish something. You used to have to be good at being, you know, the best in your field. You had to, you know, you had to be Babe Ruth. You had to be Neil Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, talent. You had to be an accomplished person. Then it started to get watered down a little bit. ~ BigTomato read more | digg story, submitted by BigTomato RELATED Story: Kathleen Parker's Low Opinion of Evangelical Christians
