Jimmy Kimmel Can’t Find Any Obamacare Takers ~ By Alicia Cohn

Kimmel also unveiled a new spoof about the “Obamacare-care” package visitors need in order to navigate HealthCare.gov. In the parody video, attempts to fix the difficult process only make it more impossible.

And let me ask this question: For those that have signed up (somehow successfully, if that is possible), are you satisfied with your new doctor? Are you getting better care now? Or, do you have to wait a few months to see a physician, even with an acute illness? How's it working out for you?

While I do believe that Kimmel's satire video was funny, this is not a funny situation for our country. And it is also sad, not funny, that people in the demographics of the needed people to sign up, didn't respond to Jimmy's question in a very affirmative way.

Now, let's ask another question: Will the public finally discover how bad this is going before the November 2014 Midterm election? We must hope so, and we must make some noise... Remember the Tea Party rallies and rowdy Town Hall meetings in 2010? That's what we will need to do again. Just sayin'...

Jimmy Kimmel is getting a lot of comedy mileage out of the Obamacare rollout.

Every time a new Obamacare problem pops up, the late night talk show host has a new punchline.

Tuesday night, Kimmel asked his Hollywood audience if any had signed up for health insurance through HealthCare.gov. Not a single person raised his or her hand.

“Really?” he responded. “They claim that more than 3 million people have now signed up on HealthCare.gov’s website.”

The tea party is gathering the strength necessary to reclaim local governments and fumigate Washington. Progressives are beside themselves, mystified by the popularity and growing power of what they regard as the dregs of society. Progressives have no intellectual defense against the principles of freedom. Their typical response is to vilify, denigrate and demean the character of anyone who dares challenge their "enlightened" wisdom.

The staggering number of progressives in the media and throughout the community is a tribute to their effectiveness in public schools and universities over the years. While today's freedom fighters were earning a living in what they once knew to be a free society, the progressives were taking tax dollars to fund education policies and non-government organizations that worked to transform the free society into a Marxist society managed by government.

Message from tea partiers to progressives: "Get the hell out of the way or get squashed; you will not steal our freedom!"

The message that the progressives least want to hear is that the Tea Party is not dead. NOT DEAD!

Oh, did Henry mention that progressive Republicans (RINOs) will not have support from the tea partiers? No, he didn't mention that. But I just did. The victory over the RINOs - progressive, establishment Republicans - is going to have to take place in the nomination process.

Henry Lamb has it right! The Tea Partiers will come to the rescue by not allowing another RINO to get the GOP nomination. Tea partiers aren't ordinary people. Tea partiers are far from assuming room temperature! They are just freedom fighters that aren't going to allow the woosie media pundits to choose another lame candidate that would have no chance, and would be little to no change from what we already have. I'm just sayin'...

Whenever America gets into trouble, it is the ordinary people who come to the rescue. It's not the government. It's not the Hollywood stars who think their opinion is required to make the sun rise. It's not even the matriculated messiah in the White House. It is the ordinary, hardworking people who see their country in trouble and organize themselves into ferocious freedom fighters against whom the gates of hell cannot prevail.

The current version of this uniquely American response to danger has been labeled the tea party.

On one side of the battlefield are the progressives, who embrace the socialist/communist philosophy of Karl Marx. On the other side is everyone else, most of whom just want government to leave them alone, get out of the way and to stop stealing their money through ever-increasing taxes and fees.

Progressives believe that government power must be invoked to manage and control all the people. Freedom fighters believe that government must be limited in its power to accomplish only those tasks the people direct it to accomplish. Specifically, freedom fighters want first and foremost their government to protect their God-given, Constitution-guaranteed, unalienable rights. They want their government to protect them from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. And they want their government to enforce the laws the people make through their elected representatives.

Progressives, on the other hand, want first and foremost government to guarantee that all people experience "social justice," which translates to equal benefit from the earth's resources. Progressives believe that government power must take wealth from people who accumulate more than they need and redistribute it to other people who need it.

Freedom fighters believe that the earth's resources are a gift from the Creator to be used by all creatures, including man, to achieve the highest plane of earthly happiness possible. Progressives believe that the earth's resources are finite and are exploited only by man, whose use of the earth's resources must be limited and controlled by government.

In growing numbers, freedom fighters are recognizing that over the last several decades, the progressives have taken charge of governments in the United States, at the local, state and the national levels. Consequently, freedom fighters are organizing themselves into battalions of brothers who are bonded by their belief in the principles of freedom enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

Without any top-down chain of command, the tea party across the nation appears to be following a higher inspiration, focusing on two primary objectives in an unspoken but coordinated strategy: 1) reclaim local government; and 2) fumigate Washington.

The TSA, Beetles and happy savages ~ By Robert Ringer

Reading Robert Ringer's columns will always be one of "my favorite things." This one is no exception. Robert delivers punch after punch here, but not necessarily landing just on the TSA or Oprah Winfrey. No, these punches were delivered on the "happy savages," those Americans still living below the waterline, those Americans that haven't quite woken up yet. Don't worry, they will before too much longer. I guarantee it.

Question: What the hell is a "deserving viewer"? Is every viewer deserving? Of what? Why? The reason an intelligent CEO of a major corporation would say something so eminently silly is that the masses must be constantly told they are deserving … they are entitled … they are, above all, "hard-working Americans" – even if they're receiving unemployment benefits!

There's no question that children respond well to this kind of reassurance. The only problem is that these were not children. They were adults!

Which brings me back to the TSA's Barney Frank Anti-Terrorist Fondling operation. When the reality that a Marxist had moved into the White House began setting in with people, millions spontaneously rebelled and became part of a new "tea party" movement.

But millions more refused to come to grips with what was happening before their very eyes. They rejected the notion that Barack Obama was anything but a personable chap who had, bless his youthful heart, simply flirted with far-left ideology as a college kid. Van Jones, Anita Dunn, John Holdren, Mark Lloyd, Cass Sunstein, et al. were simply figments of Glenn Beck's imagination.

Now, however, as a result of the TSA's police-state tactics, I believe a second wave of people are ripe prospects for the tea-party rebellion. And it may not be a peaceful rebellion if the feds don't reign in the perverts who are molesting our wives, our mothers, our children and our grandchildren.

At the recent New Orleans Investment Conference, I participated in the "Summit on America's Future" panel discussion with Charles Krauthammer, Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey. When the moderator, Gary Alexander, asked if we thought America's decline as a great civilization was inevitable, Krauthammer summed it up perfectly: "Decline is a choice. It's not inevitable."

Meaning, in the end, it's strictly up to us. We can continue to be the United States of Stuff, with our minds below the water line, or we can wake up, grow up and push back hard against an oppressive government. At the end of the day, it's a clear choice between submission and all-out resistance in an effort to re-establish the foundations of our once-free and proud republic.

Beetles be damned, if we could accomplish the latter, that would be a legitimate reason for being ecstatic.

Presidency in free fall ~ By Herman Cain

Liberty or tyranny. Freedom or slavery. We still have the choice. Why do you think I am so desperately trying to get out the truth? Whether here or on my youtube channel, I do my best to get a whole lot of attention; not to me, but to the people that know how to make a whole lot of sense.

So, I put the stuff out there, as much as I have time to do, on a daily basis. Believe me, I soak in a lot more information than I can ever have time to deliver to you. Every day, I am faced with decisions about what to produce. This column or that column, this news segment or that news segment. I have to decide what will do the most good towards the goal of spreading the idea of liberty.

So, I had to make that same decision once again last night. Not only did I want to pick the right column to put on this blog, but also which videos I wanted to include with it. (That's something I have been doing a lot more of lately; putting related videos with the columns I post is a time-consuming part of the projects.)

And the most difficult thing is knowing all the disparaging of tea partiers that I would like to be able to counter, and not having any more time than I do, I have to decide what to post or upload (video) that will counter the normal everyday slander.

But to see what has happened in the last three months has broken my heart, but not my spirit. I have been saddened by a drastic decrease in the views to this blog site. But yet, maybe there is something good from that. It does not mean that somebody won't come along and say, "Hey, I never heard about this stuff before, I wasn't aware of people like Herman Cain."

It is why I do what I do. Just hoping that one of you learns something that I had to learn along the way. It isn't about gaining fame and fortune. I know I am not going to reach millions of people. I'll leave that to the professionals, like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Herman Cain. Just sayin'...

Many congressional Democrats running for re-election are distancing themselves from the president, the health-care deform bill and the Cap-and-Trade-and-Tax-and-Kill bill. And they don't even talk about all of the spending, which has not been the solution to economic growth. In fact, they want to spend more!

And now the Democrats have decided to wait until after the November elections to pass legislation on the expiring current tax rates. This is a signal that the president and the Democrats are going to raise taxes. We just do not know whether it will be on all of us or some of us.

Instead of a parachute, this president and Congress are determined to put this economy and nation into a nose dive.

In less than two years, this presidency has produced an unprecedented turnover rate of top administration advisers, a failed stimulus spending bill, failed economic policies that have left the economy stalled, much higher than expected unemployment, a hugely unpopular health-care bill, a financial regulatory deform bill, a list of expensive and poorly executed populist programs that flopped, out-of-control federal spending, uncertainty about success with the war in Afghanistan and increased tensions with Iran, North Korea and China.

Millions of voters have come to realize that this presidency lacks leadership, direction, decisiveness, economic urgency and, most of all, solutions. This combination of deficiencies has produced a more than uninspired citizenry, except for the most loyal and misled supporters of the president.

And just like the Obama supporter who confronted the president at a supposedly friendly town-hall meeting last week, people are exhausted from listening to all of the failed attempts to spin failures into successes with speeches and media sound bites.

A disheartened Obama supporter called my radio show last week and asked if I could name one thing that Obama had done right, since it seemed to him that all I talk about are the things that have not worked. I honestly tried to think of something significantly positive, but I could not. There have been too many disappointments and broken campaign promises.

This presidency is in free-fall, which means this nation is in free-fall.

But after further reflection, there is something this presidency has inspired. With the help of an incompetently led Congress, Obama has successfully awakened a citizen's movement that has stunned the political establishment in both parties.

The political establishment and the Obama media call it those tea-party people. They can't seem to understand why people are upset. Maybe they're not listening.

The administration, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, other Democrats, the Obama mainstream media and other liberals have responded to the citizens' movement with nothing but name-calling attacks on the tea-party people. Those tactics have not worked. In fact, they appear to have further energized the citizen's movement. Demonization and intimidation of "We the People" is not working.

Look who's talking ~ By Patrick J. Buchanan

Pat Buchanan weighs in on the NAACP resolution that accuses the Tea Party Movement of being racist. As we all know, the Tea Party is not racist. However, because we don't like big government, open borders (and that we are siding with Arizona), the socialization of health care and our economy in general, and the way the oil spill has been handled, the other side (Progressives) - with the media's assistance - tries to make it sound like we don't like Obama because he is black. "None of these issues has anything directly to do with race," Pat writes. "Jealous and the NAACP are trying to change the subject from Obama's failure to Obama's race, and from the failures of liberals to the motivations of conservatives." 

Of course, as we all know, it is just part of the Saul Alinsky strategy ("Rules for Radicals") to discredit the Tea Party Movement by denigration.

As I like to do when possible, I've included a video that I put up on youtube last week, which is very telling of the double standard of the Tea Party Movement detractors, and the NAACP in particular.

I have news for the Tea Party detractors. It ain't working. And by the way, if the NAACP also had a resolution condemning the NBPP and King Samir Shabazz, why wasn't that reported by the news media? Was the story just buried in the news, or did the NAACP fail to tell anyone (until the segment above on Fox News)? Just sayin'...

By accusing the tea party of harboring racists, the NAACP is, in effect, demanding that the party appear in a court of public opinion to prove itself innocent of an unsupported slander.

Sorry, that's not how things work in America.

Folks here are innocent until proven guilty, and name-calling is the last recourse of exhausted minds, to which attention need not be paid. The NAACP has become what Graham Green called a "burnt-out case."

As longshoreman-philosopher Eric Hoffer observed, every great movement begins as a cause, eventually becomes a business, then degenerates into a racket. Time for the Ford Foundation to pull the plug on its subsidiary, whose time has come and gone a long time ago.

Rescuing itself from the obscurity it richly deserves, the NAACP has found a way back onto the front page: Accuse the tea-party movement of harboring racists.

At its Kansas City convention, NAACP President and CEO Ben Jealous declaimed: "Expel the bigots and racists in your ranks, or take the responsibility for them and their actions. We will no longer allow you to hide like cowards."

Is it not an absurd world we live in?

Here is an organization whose very name, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, pronounces its goal – advancement through affirmative action, quotas, contract set-asides based on race – accusing another organization of being motivated by race.

Jealous might revisit the Sermon on the Mount.

"Judge not that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged. ... Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"

If discrimination means favoring people or opposing people based on race, two questions arise. Is that not pretty much the job description of the NAACP? And when has the tea party advocated hirings, promotions or school admissions based on race?

In the South Carolina gubernatorial primary, the tea party backed a woman of Indian-American descent, Nikki Haley, who was raised a Sikh, over three white men with superior resumes.

In the GOP primary in South Carolina's 1st Congressional District, African-American Tim Scott, with tea-party backing, routed Strom Thurmond's son three to one.

In Florida, the tea party vaulted a Hispanic, Cuban-American Marco Rubio, into so strong a lead over favorite Gov. Charlie Crist in the race for the U.S. Senate that Crist quit the GOP.

And the NAACP?

In the year 2000, the organization ran an ad using the daughter of James Byrd, the victim of a dragging death by white racists, to imply Gov. George W. Bush's opposition to a hate-crimes bill meant that Bush was indifferent to the lynching of James Byrd.

This was as nasty a piece of political advertising as has been run in our time. When or where has the tea party run such a despicable ad?

In the last month, the major story with a racial dimension has been the charge that Eric Holder's Justice Department dropped an open-and-shut case against members of the New Black Panther Party of Philadelphia, two of whom were caught on tape threatening and intimidating white voters in the November 2008 election.

Justice's J. Christian Adams, who resigned to protest dropping the Panther case, testified before the Civil Rights Commission that attorneys in the Civil Rights Division of Justice were told to ignore cases involving black defendants and white victims.

A tape has now turned up where New Black Panther Minister King Samir Shabazz, one of the two charged with voter intimidation, rants before a small crowd: "You want freedom. You're gonna have to kill some crackers. You're gonna have to kill some of their babies."

Perhaps we can hear from the NAACP on the New Black Panther Party in Philadelphia. Perhaps we can hear more from the NAACP on the ugliest form of racism in America, interracial violent crime – which, according to FBI statistics, is largely black-on-white, not the reverse.

Remarkable. In the black community, the jobless rate is 15 percent, the dropout rate is sometimes 50 percent, the illegitimacy rate is over 70 percent, nearly a million black Americans are in jail, prison or juvenile detention – and the NAACP is passing resolutions denouncing some guys carrying signs portraying Obama as The Joker.

Video: Powerful tool against Demo-thugs ~ By Phil Elmore

In today's column, Phil discusses how the Democrats and their media lapdogs don't feel that what Rep. Bob Etheridge (D-NC) did was any big deal. The blatant assault had been caught on video, which you can see just below:

Not only was what Etheridge did a case of assault on the "students," it was also an attempted assault on the First Amendement! As Phil mentions, Liberals would nothing better than taking away the ability of people to expose cases like Etheridge's assault by making it illegal. In fact, in three states, it is now illegal to video tape police officers while they are on duty! That kind of law seems to be a clear violation of the First Amendment as long as the person taking the video is not interfering with the police officers' official duties! Just sayin'...

The only way to combat Democratic violence is through exposing it. Wireless phone cameras and video sharing online have given citizens great power. The technology to transmit truth is under assault from those whom it reveals, however. Authorities increasingly are responding to video of abuses of power by criminalizing the recording of law-enforcement officers in public.

Over and over again, Democrats sneer at the rule of law while using it to rule you. They smear and marginalize all those who oppose them as "potentially" violent domestic terrorists, while their acts of aggression and oppression go unpunished. The liberals will not be satisfied until your ability to expose their perfidy has been made illegal. They will not stop unless they are voted out of power – or until their totalitarian control is complete.

Earlier this month, news, "infotainment" and video sites suddenly were saturated with damning video of Democrat Bob Etheridge attacking a college student who attempted to interview him on a public street. Slurring his words as if brain-addled or drunk, the brutish Etheridge grabs the arm and neck of the student before him, ignoring repeated pleas to stop. "Who are you? Who are you?" he moans like Frankenstein's monster, mumbling that he has a "right" to know the identities of anyone who presumes to question his imperial authority.

Predictably, the menagerie of Democrats, liberals and leftist fellow travelers in the media defended, dismissed or insincerely and weakly condemned Etheridge's behavior in that order, because Democrats are always presumed by other Democrats to be above the laws governing what a BP executive might term the "small people."

The best example was the New York Times, whose staff immediately dove to cover a member of their ideological team. The Times resurrected a years-old incident and claimed, essentially, that "everybody does it." Assaulting a member of the media is no big deal, to the libs. Why, just ask Martha Coakely, who blithely watched one of her "aides" repeatedly rough up a reporter – yet another citizen whose only crime was neglecting to lower his gaze and drop his camera in the august presence of a Democrat politician.

"So, who were the young men hassled by Bob Etheridge?" demanded David Weigel of the Washington Post. After tepidly proclaiming that Etheridge's assault was "disgraceful," Weigel speculates that, well, gosh, we just can't know whether legal charges will be filed against Etheridge, because we can't confirm that those dastardly interviewers were indeed "students" (quotations added by Weigel). "Politicians can expect journalists or political operatives, some armed with cameras, to occasionally lie in wait for them outside fundraisers," Weigel admits. "But it's something else to ask the people with the cameras who they are and get nonanswers about 'students' and 'projects.'" One wonders if Weigel had similar comments to make when Michael Moore made a name for himself using precisely these types of "gotcha" tactics, often dissembling about his purpose in conducting his interviews.

Meanwhile, Alexandra Petri, at the Washington Post, went so far as to declare Etheridge's clear act of criminal assault "old news" while joking about it. "Members of Congress have been assaulting people for over a hundred years," she wrote, before unconvincingly and limply denouncing Etheridge's completely unjustified physical violence as "immature behavior" we ought not encourage. After all, she points out, college students like the ones who dared, impudently and without subtlety, to question a Great and Mighty Democrat politician, can be, in Petri's words, "annoying," and thus she doesn't "lack sympathy for Etheridge."

I mean, come on – somebody possibly linked to those people who exposed ACORN's criminal behavior dared to put a camera in the man's face. Wouldn't you respond immediately with fisticuffs? The stampede to defend Etheridge by impugning all of Congress from the inception of our government was reminiscent of the rush to defend Bill Clinton during his impeachment. After Clinton wagged his righteously indignant finger for the media while lying to hundreds of millions of people, liberal media hacks flooded their publications with puff pieces on the cultural benefits and pervasiveness of lying.

The thuggery of Democrats will only get worse. No less a political figure than Barack Hussein Obama has, after all, made invocations of physical violence his rhetorical stock in trade. Confronted with dissenters? Argue violently with them by getting "in their face," the president urges. As lib shock troops wave billy clubs at polling places and get away with it, as union backbreakers intimidate, beat and mutilate any who dare to oppose Obama's agenda, the Democrats continue to support "gun control" because disarming you makes it easier for them to beat and murder you when you disagree with them.

Critical to exposing the violent, reprehensible conduct of Bob Etheridge was the presence of a video camera. Were the video not now viral, it would be a lying Democrat's word against those of his critics (who, after all, can't be trusted, because we don't know for a fact that they're "students") in the court of popular culture opinion. The video evidence changes that and puts bullies like Etheridge, not to mention countless other Democrat thugs, on the defensive.

Is tea-party violence in the air? ~ By Joseph Farah

This column by Joseph Farah tonight reminded me of something that I had experienced back in the early 1980's, and the parallels are amazing. I hope you will excuse me for indulging in a little reminiscence for a moment, but it will tie together what the tea party movement is going through, as Joseph wrote.

Back in 1980, I joined Amway as a distributor. Jimmy Carter was still President. Once I attended my first Amway rally, I was hooked. I couldn't get enough of it, and so I bought hundreds of tapes and positive thinking books, and attended many more rallies, many very far from home. What excited me was all the people that believed in Free Enterprise and FREEDOM. What amazed me was how many people there were that thought just like me.

But the real parallel comes here: We had our detractors, just as does the Tea Party Movement. And guess who the detractors were? The liberal press, college professors, government officials, and union labor. They had the same fear of the AMWAY movement as they now have of us tea partiers! Imagine that! Just as Joseph wrote, Amway distributors, like tea partiers, were only "asking for government to get off their backs." The government wanted to regulate us out of existence if they possibly could. They (liberals) didn't like Amway distributors because we weren't asking for handouts. We didn't want anything to do with government programs. We were just people that wanted Freedom and the opportunity to be financially independent, on our own, without their assistance.

In a way, I think the Amway distributor army was the genesis of Tea Party movement. Who knows, but I would guess that a lot of those of us that were (or are) in Amway may have been some of the first to rally around the Tea Party Movement. We just want freedom for all who will listen. Just sayin'...

The horror of it all! That the tea-party movement would attempt to persuade people they are right without coercion and without attempting to seize power is perhaps the scariest part of all to people like Bernstein and most of the media and political elite in this country.

Yet, it is exactly what is so appealing about the tea-party movement to me.

Here's what I see when I attend tea-party gatherings, as I will again July 15 in Las Vegas: I see love of one's country. I see responsibility. I see commitment to the Constitution. I see the most potent grass-roots political movement to arise in America in my lifetime. And I see hope.

To read some of the hyperventilating opinion about the tea-party movement, you would almost certainly have to conclude that its brief history has been littered with at least small acts of random violence.

College professors who have encouraged students to riot, throw stones, barricade themselves in university buildings and disrespect police and military authorities decry the "fierce anger," "seething anger" and "rage" of the tea-party movement. Media people who observe the leftist demonstrations du jour degenerate into chaos and real violence without remotely approaching condemnation are aghast and instilled with fear by the peaceful singing and chanting at the tea-party rallies.

It's not just a matter of predicting that a wave of revolutionary violence is coming from the tea-party constituency, it is an assumption in quarters that have heretofore coddled, encouraged, overlooked, dismissed, enabled and excused such excesses when committed by supporters of "good causes."

"To date, the Tea Party has committed only the minor, almost atmospheric violences of propagating falsehoods, calumny and the disruption of the occasions for political speech – the last already to great and distorting effect," writes philosophy professor J.M. Bernstein in The New York Times. "But if their nihilistic rage is deprived of interrupting political meetings as an outlet, where might it now go? With such rage driving the Tea Party, might we anticipate this atmospheric violence becoming actual violence, becoming what Hegel called, referring to the original Jacobins' fantasy of total freedom, 'a fury of destruction'? There is indeed something not just disturbing, but frightening, in the anger of the Tea Party."

I'm not afraid of the tea party.

Are you?

I'm more afraid of my government and the way it is exceeding all legal constraints on its authority.

In fact, I'm certain that the tea party – a spontaneous, grass-roots uprising of hard-working, law-abiding Americans calling out their elected leaders and the bureaucratic army they employ on their excesses and abuses – is the answer to our country's crisis.

Thus, in America today, we have a political polarization not seen in this country since the 1960s – one so deep and wide and pronounced that those on either side can't even understand what the other is saying. They are not speaking the same language. They might as well be from different planets.

That's how I feel when I hear people denounce the tea-party movement as a group of angry, bitter troglodytes who don't even know what they want.

Listen to the ravings of Bernstein, again: "In truth, there is nothing that the Tea Party movement wants; terrifyingly, it wants nothing."

In a sense, he's right. The tea-party movement, more than anything, is a movement of people who want to be left alone, who wish to be self-governing individuals in a land of limited government, just as the founders promised.

They're not asking for a bigger piece of the pie. They're not asking for handouts. They're not asking for special rights based on the color of their skin or their bedroom practices. They're asking for government to get off their backs.

That terrifies Bernstein and his ilk. Why? Because it means these people can't be bought off so easily.

Hijacking the tea party ~ By Joseph Farah

I sure hope a lot of people read and pay attention to what Joseph Farah had to say in this column. The election this November, the Midterm election, is the most important election that we may have ever experience. It could be our last chance. As Joseph says, it is "a pivotal vote that will determine whether the United States of America will continue to be the shining city on a hill, a beacon of freedom and justice throughout the world." It will be our time to let the politicians know that We the People are no longer going to be apathetic. We the People aren't going to continue to twiddle our thumbs, thinking that there isn't anything we can do about what our politicians are doing to us.

This is OUR time to take back America, and We the People do not have much time left if we want to stay free. We need to vote, not just in November, but very importantly, NOW, during the primaries. It is our chance to get rid of the politicians who have been treating us like useful idiots. Just like what some of us did during last Summer's Congressional recess, where we crowded town hall meetings and gave the Congressmen and Congresswomen a piece of our minds, it's now time for the smack-down in order to show the politicians that didn't listen to us and went ahead with passing ObamaCare that they can no longer get away with it. It's time to let them know that they represent us, and can no longer get away with ignoring the Will of We the People. Just sayin'....

Pray that God smiles on America this year.

Pray that God smiles on the tea-party movement and uses it mightily.

Pray that God confuses the minds of all those who would use this movement for their own self-aggrandizement.

Pray that the tea-party movement does not get hijacked by those who would turn it into a strictly materialistic endeavor devoid of God's real concerns for the nation.

Pray for unity and success for the tea-party movement.

The tea-party movement is only about two years old, but, because of its potency, there have already been many attempts to hijack it.

From politicians trying to resurrect their careers to media activists trying to establish careers, there is a temptation to think of the tea-party movement as cattle or sheep that can be herded in any direction with skillful manipulation.

I don't believe that's true.

I hope it's not true.

The tea-party movement is so important to the future of the country precisely because it is an amorphous, grass-roots uprising – called not by leadership but by national crisis and necessity.

It's not only political folly to attempt to get in front of this parade, it's probably bad career advice.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The tea-party movement is the broadest and potentially most powerful grass-roots political movement in my lifetime. But there is also a spiritual component to it that most of the hijackers either can't understand or don't want to understand.

This is not just a band of Americans angry about their dollar not going as far as it once did. This is not just a movement centered on materialistic concerns. This is not just a bunch of rubes in need of direction from more sophisticated minds.

I laugh when I hear seasoned conservative activists talking about how they intend to teach the tea partiers how to be winners.

With the exception of a momentary second wind in 1994, the conservative establishment has been moribund since Ronald Reagan's administration. Because it threw its lot in with the Republican Party, come hell or high water, the conservative movement allowed itself to be co-opted and taken for granted.

The great potential of the tea-party movement is that it will not allow that to happen.

Calderon and Mexico are experiencing their own brand of "tea party," the grass-roots population-wide revolt against their government and oppression and corruption. But, instead of our Constitution-based, peaceful and electoral tea party, theirs is a veritable witches' brew of crime, violence, drug traffic – and the wholesale illegal departure of 15 million of their citizens desperate to escape to something better.

Mr. Calderon, go back to your own country and keep trying to clean up your own house. We Americans are about to clean up ours at the polls. Our tea party is "We the People."

Mexican President Felipe Calderon has been making a big splash here lately. I'm wondering if our authorities checked his credentials when he entered the country. Probably not … racial profiling and all that, you know.

But the major news channels all dutifully trumpeted and broadcast his address to Congress, in which he lectured America on how we should conduct our immigration policy. After complimenting us on our history and standing in the world, he stated emphatically his disapproval of Arizona's recent announcement that the state will more strictly enforce our immigration laws. He paraphrased President Obama's earlier remarks about the Arizona stance not being reflective of America's moral code and ethical standards.

You may have seen the reaction on TV: Speaker Pelosi jumped to her feet and applauded wildly, at which the whole left side of the hall (the Democratic side) also stood and applauded, while the whole right side (the Republican side, of course) sat stolid and non-approving – much the same reaction as that of our Supreme Court justices when Obama chided them in front of the world for a decision he disagreed with.

Even without any approval or support from the right side of Congress, I'm sure both presidents were gratified by their mutual support of each other and Calderon's lecturing statements, which would immediately and repeatedly be spread abroad by the obedient media.

But amazingly, the Mexican president, after a congratulatory visit to the White House, granted one in-person TV interview, with Wolf Blitzer of CNN.

He probably deeply regrets doing that now.

To his great credit, Blitzer really pinned Calderon down on his own country's immigration policies and enforcement of its laws. Blitzer had actually read Mexico's laws – which have been, and are, far tougher on illegals entering their country than America's are on illegals here!

They've never been a secret. Surely you, like I, have read the horror stories about Americans stranded in Mexico after money and passports were lost or stolen. About the extortion by authorities, and imprisonments in notorious Mexican jails and, in the last several years, the disappearance and murders of visitors by rampant criminal gangs.

I remember several fact-based TV movies about tourists being extricated from prisons in Mexico, once by a heroic helicopter rescue. Even our government has advised against "spring break" visits to Mexico by exuberant American college students – because of real dangers caused by rampant lawlessness, corruption, drug cartels and renegade gangs, armed to the teeth and threatening even to Mexican law enforcement.

But it's being more widely revealed and known now: MEXICO'S IMMIGRATION LAWS ARE MUCH, MUCH TOUGHER ON ILLEGALS THAN AMERICA'S. (emphasis my own) And in his interview with Blitzer, Calderon – stammering at times, looking for the right words – had to admit it.

What are some of the provisions of Mexican immigration law?

• Immigrants must speak Mexico's language.
• No bilingual programs in schools, no special ballots for elections, all government business must be conducted in Spanish.
• Foreigners will never be able to hold political office.
• Foreigners will not have the right to vote no matter how long they're in Mexico; Article 33 states, "Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country."
• Mexican authorities are ordered to keep track of every single person in the country.
• Foreigners will not be a burden to taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care or other government assistance programs.
• Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned.
• Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons.
• A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison.

Basically, and undeniably, under Mexican law, illegal immigration is (a crime). The General Law of Population says: "A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally." (Article 123)

Tea Party Activists Defend Rand Paul Amid Civil Rights Controversy

The controversy around Rand Paul may make you wonder how it affects the Tea Party Movement that supported him in his Republican primary victory. Will it affect his chances for a victory in November against his Democrat opponent, Jack Conway?

"I just feel like it's another day in the political arena where the left is frantic because all indicators are they are going to lose big and they know the one big hot-button thing they got is race," said Gina Loudon, founder of the St. Louis Tea Party.

Loudon said the controversy is an attempt by Democrats to distract voters away from other issues, such as border security and growing deficits. She said that race has never been a problem for the Tea Party, which she says takes pride in having a "place in the platform for all races, parties and genders."

She also expressed skepticism of the mainstream media's coverage of the controversy.

"I have so little trust with the mainstream media," she said. "I think this is more about a leftist agenda to erode the support that conservative groups have in November."

Rand Paul

Tea Partiers had barely started their victory lap for propelling Rand Paul to triumph Tuesday in Kentucky's GOP Senate primary, when a controversy over the new nominee's criticism of the Civil Rights Act threatened to rain on the parade.

Paul was criticized Wednesday for saying in a series of interviews that he would have opposed forcing private businesses to integrate under the landmark 1964 law that banned racial discrimination. Paul clarified his remarks Thursday, saying he agrees with the goals of the law but questions the federal government imposing its will on businesses – a view consistent with his long-held libertarian beliefs but leaving him open to criticisms that he would allow racial discrimination.

The Tea Party movement faces a dilemma. The conservative grassroots phenomenon that has shaken up the political landscape in the past year has faced accusations from the left of racism. Now it must decide how to deal with the fallout over Paul's comments, which have given Democrats more ammunition for November's midterm elections.

And as Paul tried to explain his take on the civil rights law Friday, he has added fuel to the fire with criticism of President Obama for being too tough on oil company BP PLC in his handling of the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Tea Party activists told FoxNews.com that they plan to keep supporting Paul in his race against Democrat Jack Conway, but they made clear that their platform opposes discrimination and condemned Democrats for seizing on Paul's comments.

"The people in the Tea Party movement oppose racism," said Debbie Dooley, a Tea Party Patriots organizer and FreedomWorks volunteer outside of Atlanta, "We don't believe private businesses should be allowed to discriminate."

Dooley said she doesn't believe Paul is a racist and that she's satisfied with his clarification. "Do I believe he lost support? No," she said. "I don't believe he lost the Tea Party."

But Lenny McAllister, a black syndicated political commentator who has spoken at a number of Tea Party events in Georgia, said he believes Paul went too far with his belief in free market principles.

"Unfortunately, in his interpretation of what America is supposed to be, he's forgotten there's also a constitutional freedom that needs to be guaranteed," he told FoxNews.com, adding that Paul doesn't represent everyone in the Tea Party.

"The movement is one that has leaders like this but also understands that the Constitution is the law of the land and makes sure it's honored and ensures that civil rights are guaranteed," he said.

McAllister said he was not a "big supporter nor a basher" of Paul before the controversy and that he will continue to support the Tea Party.

"I think the main point is that we as conservatives and even Tea Party folks understand the balance," he said. "They're not anti-government. They want proper restraint of government and in this instance that means ensuring civil rights is protected for all Americans."

The Civil Rights Act was landmark legislation that outlawed racial segregation in schools, workplaces and other public places. It also banned unequal application of voter registration requirements.

Paul is an eye doctor who had never run for elective office before the Senate primary. He says he shares many of the libertarian views of his father, Republican Rep. Ron Paul, who represents a Texas district and was a presidential candidate in 2008.

In his primary victory on Tuesday, Paul had strong support from Tea Party activists, who believe that government spending and influence should be curbed. Paul also had the backing of some key conservatives, including former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

But Paul's comments to The Louisville (Kentucky) Courier-Journal last month challenging the Civil Rights Act went viral after he was asked about them in separate interviews with National Public Radio and MSNBC's "The Rachel Maddow Show."

"It's Rand Paul's view," said William Owens, a black Tea Party activist in Nevada. "It's a libertarian view. It doesn't have any reflection on the Tea Party at all."

"His position is not racially inspired. It's libertarian inspired," he said. "He is welcome to that view."

Owens added that he believes Democrats who are criticizing Paul are doing so because they fear the ground they are losing.

CNN's loss, tea partiers' gain seeking to unify movement in run up to fall election

He caused quite an uproar as a CNN anchor when he advocated for stronger U.S. border enforcement and when he refused to drop "birther" stories about challenges to President Obama's constitutional eligibility to hold office.

Now he's a headlining speaker at the second tea-party convention in July in Las Vegas, an event geared toward unifying the tea-party movement in the run-up to the fall congressional elections.

Lou Dobbs will rally tea partiers at the National Tea Party Unity Convention, July 15-17, at the Palazzo Las Vegas Resort in Nevada. The Tea Party Nation, along with ResistNet, Leadership Tea Party, the Tea Party Leadership Coalition and other groups, is organizing the event.

"Lou Dobbs is just an amazing guy," Tea Party Nation President Judson Phillips told WND. "He stood up to the powers that be at CNN. He had a very high-rated show there, and he could have kept towing the party line and doing what they wanted him to do. But he spoke up for America."

In 2009, Dobbs was voted to the top 10 list of the most important radio talk-show hosts in America by Talkers Magazine. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in economics.

The award-winning journalist and best-selling author's refusal to drop "birther" stories about challenges to Obama's constitutional eligibility to hold office was a major source of contention with CNN management, leading the unconventional anchor to walk away from the network and more than $9 million in November, the New York Post reported.

The Post, citing anonymous sources, said the beginning of the end of a long-simmering dispute came in July last year, when CNN President Jonathan Klein told Dobbs' staff in a memo to stop reporting on lawsuits that demand Obama produce evidence he's a natural-born American citizen, as required by the Constitution.

Dobbs said several times he believed Obama was a U.S. citizen, and all he wanted was the president to produce a copy of his birth certificate, but the network clamped down on the host nonetheless.

Dobbs, who also hosts a nationally syndicated radio show, told his radio audience in July that "even though I said I believe the president is a citizen of the United States, I don't understand why he shouldn't produce a birth certificate. My God, you're talking about the third rail of American journalism, baby! That's it. I'm not going to back off."

In a November column, WND CEO and Editor Joseph Farah called Dobbs a "real newsman" whose departure from CNN after 30 years left the network "in a state of programming irrelevancy."

"What makes Lou Dobbs so special," Farah writes, "is his independence and fearlessness. Dobbs clearly set his own agenda. He had no interest in the 'conventional wisdom' of his industry. Dobbs thinks like a real American newsman – a throwback to an age when journalists actually believed they were watchdogs of government and asked tough questions in the interests of the people."

The New York Post also noted that CNN had long been asking Dobbs to "tone down his harsh rhetoric" on issues such as immigration. For years, in his "Broken Borders" segment, Dobbs warned of the dangers of illegal immigration. Several campaigns were launched to convince CNN to "dump Dobbs."

As WND reported, Dobbs told his radio audience Oct. 26 a gunshot was fired into his home after a series of threatening phone calls.

Dobbs said advocacy groups that support illegal immigration pressed for him to be fired and had been "unrelenting in their propaganda."

Outspoken opponents of Dobbs include the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League, the National Council of La Raza, Internet media watchdog Media Matters and Geraldo Rivera of Fox News.
