Reading Robert Ringer's columns will always be one of "my favorite things." This one is no exception. Robert delivers punch after punch here, but not necessarily landing just on the TSA or Oprah Winfrey. No, these punches were delivered on the "happy savages," those Americans still living below the waterline, those Americans that haven't quite woken up yet. Don't worry, they will before too much longer. I guarantee it.

Question: What the hell is a "deserving viewer"? Is every viewer deserving? Of what? Why? The reason an intelligent CEO of a major corporation would say something so eminently silly is that the masses must be constantly told they are deserving … they are entitled … they are, above all, "hard-working Americans" – even if they're receiving unemployment benefits!

There's no question that children respond well to this kind of reassurance. The only problem is that these were not children. They were adults!

Which brings me back to the TSA's Barney Frank Anti-Terrorist Fondling operation. When the reality that a Marxist had moved into the White House began setting in with people, millions spontaneously rebelled and became part of a new "tea party" movement.

But millions more refused to come to grips with what was happening before their very eyes. They rejected the notion that Barack Obama was anything but a personable chap who had, bless his youthful heart, simply flirted with far-left ideology as a college kid. Van Jones, Anita Dunn, John Holdren, Mark Lloyd, Cass Sunstein, et al. were simply figments of Glenn Beck's imagination.

Now, however, as a result of the TSA's police-state tactics, I believe a second wave of people are ripe prospects for the tea-party rebellion. And it may not be a peaceful rebellion if the feds don't reign in the perverts who are molesting our wives, our mothers, our children and our grandchildren.

At the recent New Orleans Investment Conference, I participated in the "Summit on America's Future" panel discussion with Charles Krauthammer, Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey. When the moderator, Gary Alexander, asked if we thought America's decline as a great civilization was inevitable, Krauthammer summed it up perfectly: "Decline is a choice. It's not inevitable."

Meaning, in the end, it's strictly up to us. We can continue to be the United States of Stuff, with our minds below the water line, or we can wake up, grow up and push back hard against an oppressive government. At the end of the day, it's a clear choice between submission and all-out resistance in an effort to re-establish the foundations of our once-free and proud republic.

Beetles be damned, if we could accomplish the latter, that would be a legitimate reason for being ecstatic.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch. There they were: Obama, Michelle, Oprah Winfrey, Valerie Jarrett, Rahm Emanuel, David Axelrod, Mayor Richard Daley – all from Chicago, by the way – plus media flacks, staffers, aides, security – and, for all we know, their own chef and food taster. No doubt, Michelle brought a complete wardrobe with assistants to help with makeup and hair. Chicago to the core, Obama was on the Daley bandwagon to lock in the games for that city. There was a lot at stake, not the least, the opportunity for lots of money to be made in the development of the Olympic Village and varied venues. Obama didn't just "go" to Copenhagen as U.S. president to make a pitch for Chicago; he moved in, in force, for an Obama blitz, with all the troops he believes had "the power." Obama arrived on Air Force One along with extra planes for staff and cars and security. But before him, Michelle arrived on her own jumbo jet with Oprah Winfrey in tow – apparently hoping to dazzle those Olympic hicks with some real star power. They preened and schmoozed, aiming to impress with glitter. Reporters referred to Obama as a "rock star," and some allowed that Michelle won the "gold" with her charm offensive. Yeah, that's the word: offensive. They were offensive, and I don't mean their push to get voting support. I mean they offended people in the old "ugly American" way and no doubt, came across as pushy. Pushy? Barack? Michelle? Oh no! I don't like her any more than I like her husband. What I don't like about her is best illustrated in her characteristically self-centered, creepy comment Thursday about what a personal "sacrifice" it was for her to rush off to Europe to lobby for the Chicago Olympics. "We dropped everything – dropped everything – to be a part of this team," she said in thanking Oprah Winfrey for joining her in the Olympic pitch. "As much of a sacrifice as people say this is for me or Oprah or the president to come for these few days," the team has been working for years. First of all, let's be honest about what this all-expense-paid (by taxpayers) trip to Europe is all about: It's a political payoff to the Obamas' corrupt political machine in Chicago. But, more to the point, what "sacrifice"? Does Mrs. Obama even understand the meaning of the word? Sacrifice is what American men and women are doing now in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sacrifice is what American men did in Vietnam. Sacrifice is what American men did in World War II, when hundreds of thousands of them went to Europe (and Asia and Africa) and never came back – or came back missing limbs. Somehow, I expect Mrs. Obama and her husband will survive this trip and return home in one piece. If any sacrifice is being made in the context of this wholly unnecessary excursion it is by U.S. taxpayers who will pick up the enormous tab. Oprah's weight and Obama's foodorama - by Chuck Norris

Or as Benjamin Franklin put it, "Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man." So, don't ever stop trying. Yes, I went to extremes to write such a great synopsis of the Chuck Norris story when I submitted it to digg.com this morning (see above). There was a whole lot of information to try to condense into 350 characters. Well, that digg story description just does not do his great column any justice. I know that Chuck went all-out in putting this one together, on the Christmas holiday weekend, no less! So, my job here is to provide you with a reason to read his great piece today. He obviously did a lot of research based on the number of links that he provides in this story. His humorous wit rose higher than any leg kick he could ever do. So, before my gushing causes any further man-made global warming, let me bring you a little bit of his writing:

And that fixation has focused recently upon his fitness, which some say contributed even to his victory in the election. Men's Fitness even deemed him twice (in 2005 and 2008) among the 25 fittest men in America." Many present Obama's diet as one more reason why he should be our nation's supreme leader, for, they say, even it points to his rags to regal road to the White House (In "Dreams from My Father, " Obama tells the story how he ate grasshopper, dog and snake while living in Indonesia as a child). Those who doubt Obama's pro-organic positions are referred to an array of nutritional news stories, blogs, photos and video streams of him eating, golfing, playing basketball, working out at the gym, etc. Last week one of the largest Internet searches was sneaking a peak of the hearty and shirtless president-elect on the beach at his $9 million dollar Hawaiian holiday getaway. There's even a website committed to every possible link between food, drinks and Obama – Obamafoodorama, including Barack's favorite trail mix and his beer of choice, the "audacity of hops." Sarah Palin should just say NO to Oprah

Back during the general election Oprah Winfrey declined to interview Sarah Palin because "she wanted to keep her show free from politics." Oprah had Obama on twice and his wife too. Palin should do every interview except the Oprah one. She should deny any contact with Oprah or her people.
