Donald Trump: Obama presidency possibly illegal

"He spent millions of dollars trying to get away from this issue. Millions of dollars in legal fees trying to get away from this issue. I brought it up just routinely. All of a sudden a lot of facts are emerging, and I'm starting to wonder myself whether he was born in this country," Trump said on "Fox & Friends."

Video provided by FoxNewsInsider on Mar 28, 2011

"This guy either has a birth certificate or he doesn't," he added. "I didn't think it was such a big deal, but I will tell you it's turning out to be a very big deal. Because people now are calling me from all over saying please don't give up on this issue.

In all the time that WorldNetDaily.com and it's founder, editor and CEO, Joseph Farah, has been covering the story of Obama's birth certificate, there has never been this much media attention, especially by the Fox News Channel. Now that Donald Trump has stepped into the mix, mostly beginning with his appearance on "The View," it is a whole new ball game. For whatever reason, Donald doesn't seem to be getting ridiculed, at least on Fox News, for asking just what Joseph Farah has been wanting to know all along: "Where's the birth certificate?"

Donald Trump: Obama presidency possibly illegal
'To be honest with you, I want him to have a birth certificate'

Billionaire developer and possible Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is now suggesting Barack Obama's presidency could be "illegal" if legitimate proof is not provided demonstrating the commander in chief is indeed a "natural born citizen" of the U.S.

Trump's use of the "I" word came last night during a phone interview with Greta Van Susteren of the Fox News Channel.

"To be honest with you, I want him to have a birth certificate," Trump said, "because [otherwise] that would mean that his presidency was, I guess you'd have to say, illegal. You have to be born in the United States. I hope that he was born in the United States. I hope – but I want to get rid of the word hope, I want to know for sure – I hope that he was born in the United States and I hope this doesn't become a big issue."

Trump defended so-called "birthers," explaining, "They just want to see the president was born in this country."

He also called into question Hawaii's Democratic Gov. Neil Abercrombie for suggesting he remembered when Obama was born nearly a half century ago.

"I'll bet he didn't even know the parents 50 years ago," Trump said. "I think it's absolutely insane. What he's doing is taking a bullet for the party by making a statement that, 'I remember.'"

Trump also wondered why no doctors or nurses have come forward to announce their presence at Obama's birth.

"Here's the president of the United States, and no doctor, no nurse, nobody's come forward saying, 'I delivered that beautiful baby.'"

Hawaii to keep Obama 'birth certificate' secret

Now, Democrats in the state legislature are claiming the demand to see Obama's birth certificate was not as great as they originally thought, certainly not a demand sufficient to slow up or otherwise interfere with the orderly operation of the Hawaii Department of Health.

Rep. Rida Cabanilla, the Democrat who first introduced the bill, said she decided to drop the issue after she learned [...] that requests to the Hawaii Department of Health to see Obama's birth documents have declined to just a few a week.

"The demand is dying down," Cabanilla told the Associated Press. "If they still get a lot of requests, I could have pushed it more."

Jerome Corsi lets us know that the plan for Hawaii to sell a certification that Obama was born in their state has died. I wonder if the legislators finally realized what a fraud that would have been. Or, could it have been something else, like an outside influence from the White House, that told them not to do it?

In the following video, Karl Rove explains to Bill O'Reilly how it is a great strategy by the Democrats and Obama administration to keep the birth certificate issue going in order to divide the Republicans.

Video provided by TheREALjohnny2k

So, perhaps the plan to sell the fake birth certificates would have put more focus on Democrats on the island and discredited them rather than on the division between the Republicans and discrediting the "birthers."

But then, maybe the Hawaiian legislators realized just how stupid it would make them look, so they dropped the plan. They may have also realized that Billy Mays is no longer alive to do the infomercial.

Democrats kill plan to sell access for $100

The Hawaii state legislature has abandoned plans to develop and sell for $100 a newly created document carrying the official seal of the state designed to convince an increasingly skeptical American public that Barack Obama actually was born in Hawaii.

There is no indication the Hawaii state legislature made any effort to locate Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate in the vault archives of the Hawaii Department of Health as part of its work.

But the bill, HB1116, died in the House Health Committee without a hearing, after the legislature missed a Friday deadline for the plan to advance to the House Finance Committee, a required step before the bill could move forward.

The explanation for dropping the bill – Hawaii's privacy laws, an objection Hawaii House Democrats did not consider an obstacle when the legislation was introduced last month.

House Health Committee chairman Ryan Yamane told the Associated Press on Thursday that he did not think it was appropriate to sell to the public private information protected by Hawaii's privacy laws.

"We shouldn't take knee-jerk reactions," Yamane, a Democrat, told the Associate Press. "Just because there are people who want this information, that doesn't mean we should change our state statute so a private, personal record could be accessible for $100."

This was the same excuse Gov. Neil Abercrombie had used to abandon his much-touted effort to use the power and authority of the governor's office to settle once and for all the Obama birth controversy by finding in the vault archives of the Hawaii Department of Health Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate and releasing the document to a skeptical public.

Hawaii's Revised Statute HRS338 restricts making public birth certificate and other birth vital records only to those who have a "direct and tangible interest," namely the person applying for the certified birth certificate copy, a member of the immediate family, or others with a legal interest such as an adoptive parent or a legal guardian.

The language of HB1116 attempted to skirt these restrictions by modifying Hawaii law such that for a fee of $100, the Hawaii Department of Health will release "a copy of a birth record" for those HB1116 defines as "persons of prominence," such as Barack Obama or any other Hawaiian running for president.

The tip-off that the proposed legislation intended to withhold from public disclosure President Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate, if such a document exists, came in an interview Democratic Rep. John Mizuno, one of the Democratic co- sponsors of the measure gave to Gina Mangieri reporting for KHON2 in Hawaii.

"If the people are so concerned about Barack Obama and if he was actually born in Hawaii, born in the United States, let them pay a fee of 100 bucks," Mizuno told KHON2. "We can certainly use the money, and we don't need to hear their complaining anymore."

Why Hawaii now wants to sell 'birth certificate'

"So if there's 1 million people on the mainland asking for his birth certificate, send over a $100 check or money order, and we'll send you over something certifying that he was born in Hawaii," Mizuno said. "That's 1 million people – that's $100 million to the state."

Nor did Mizuno stop there.

"The president of the United States, the No. 1 person in our country, from Hawaii – we need to capitalize," he continued. "If we don't take advantage of it, we're out of our minds. This is a golden opportunity."

WARNING: The above excerpt from this story may cause your heart to stop. (Oops, too late.)

PITCH-MAN BILLY MAYS
Wow! How soon will it be before there are TV infomercials to advertise this fake and fraudulent product? That's right, you'll see it here: Government-sponsored fraud to make money off of covering up the fraud who sits in the oval office. Oh, how ironic! Those same people make laws to put people in jail for perpetrating much less of a scam.

Gee, if only Billy Mays was still alive! But WAIT! If Barack Hussein Obama could sell his "Hope and Change" so well back in 2008, maybe he could do the TV ads for the completely authentic fake birth certificates! In fact, we know he can read a teleprompter, and he is going to be needing a job in a couple years, so this would be the perfect gig for him!

I can HEAR it now (with the TV volume suddenly going way up):
For just 100 dollars, YOU can get this piece of history manufactured, not in China, or even Kenya, but directly from Hawaii, our 57th State (Obama must have written that part)! But wait! If you act now, we'll include a frame, made with wood from the furniture that used to be in the oval office! But we're not done yet! For just the cost of additional handling, processing and shipping, we'll include a DVD with all of the clips of our friendly state-controlled mainstream media news folks ridiculing the "birthers"! Act now! This could be a limited-time offer if Gov. Abercrombie finally finds the real birth certificate!  It's hope and change on a authentic state-sealed fake document that you can show - or redistribute! - to all of your Democrat friends!
Seriously, folks, except for the above script for the TV infomercial, you can't make this stuff up! Just sayin'...

Why Hawaii now wants to sell 'birth certificate'
State plans to create new document in bid to raise money for state coffers

Despite national press reports to the contrary, the Hawaii state legislature has no intention of releasing Barack Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate – not even for $100.

By introducing HB1116 into the Hawaii legislature last week, five Democrats are giving the impression they are willing to make Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate available to the public for a fee.

Instead, the plan is for the state of Hawaii to create a completely new document that will be carefully designed to carry the seal of the state of Hawaii without ever having to certify details of parentage and birthplace.

Hawaii's Revised Statute HRS338 restricts making public birth certificate and other vital records only to those who have a "direct and tangible interest," namely the person applying for the certified birth certificate copy, a member of the immediate family, or others with a legal interest such as an adoptive parent or a legal guardian.

Now, the language of HB1116 attempts to skirt these restrictions by modifying Hawaii law such that for a fee of $100, the Hawaii Department of Health will release "a copy of a birth record" for those HB1116 defines as "persons of prominence."

The tip-off that the proposed legislation intends to withhold from public disclosure Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate, if such a document exists, came in an interview with Democratic Rep. John Mizuno, one of the Democratic co-sponsors of the measure.

Hawaii governor can't find Obama birth certificate ~ By Jerome Corsi

BARRY OBAMA WITH
HIS MOTHER, ANN DUNHAM
Abercrombie did not report to the newspaper that he or the Hawaii Department of Health had found Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate. The governor only suggested his investigations to date had identified an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives.

"It was actually written, I am told, this is what our investigation is showing, it actually exists in the archives, written down," Abercrombie said.

For seemingly the first time, Abercrombie frankly acknowledged that presidential politics motivated his search for Obama birth records, implying that failure to resolve the questions that remain unanswered about the president's birth and early life may damage his chance for re-election.

"If there is a political agenda (regarding Obama's birth certificate), then there is nothing I can do about that, nor can the president," he said.

This story by Jerome Corsi got the ball rolling late this week, and even the lame-stream media is now talking about it. As I stated in my previous post, on his Friday show, "even Rush Limbaugh spent a considerable amount of time discussing this situation."  Has Governor Neil Abercrombie (D-HI) opened a can of worms trying to help his pal, Barack Obama? Talking about good intentions with unintended consequences!

Suggests controversy could hurt president's re-election chances

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.

GOV. NEIL ABERCROMBIE
Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012.

Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie's spokeswoman in Honolulu, ignored again today another in a series of repeated requests made by WND for an interview with the governor.

Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper asked Abercrombie: "You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How is that coming?"

In his response, Abercrombie acknowledged the birth certificate issue will have "political implications" for the next presidential election "that we simply cannot have."

Suggesting he was still intent on producing more birth records on Obama from the Hawaii Department of Health vital records vault, Abercrombie told the newspaper there was a recording of the Obama birth in the state archives that he wants to make public.

Old media now asking where is birth certificate

Across the Atlantic, the Daily Mail of London adopted the storyline reported first by WND and followed by ABC News.

The London paper's headline said: "Hawaii governor claims record of Obama's birth 'exists in archives' but can't produce the vital document."

"Pressure was mounting on Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie today amid increasing confusion over whether President Obama was born there," the paper reported.

The Daily Mail pointed out that while Abercrombie stated evidence of Obama's birth "actually exists in the archives, written down," it nevertheless "became apparent that what had been discovered was an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives and not a birth certificate."
Is the mainstream media finally getting a clue that there is a story regarding Obama's birth certificate? On his Friday show, even Rush Limbaugh spent a considerable amount of time discussing this situation. It is potentially a major story that even the lame-stream media will be forced to cover.

WND report on gov's interview grabbing attention of skeptics

GOV. NEIL ABERCROMBIE (D-HI)
An interview with newly elected Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie that addressed Barack Obama's presidential eligibility has prompted two opposing interpretations by legacy media – one insisting the governor has resolved the issue and the other concluding he effectively has admitted he can't find the long-form birth certificate that would help put the controversy to rest.

The New York Daily News apparently found the interview published Tuesday by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reason to declare final victory over "conspiracy theorists," but ABC News featured a story on its website pointing out Abercrombie has not delivered the promised proof.

After WND's report of the interview Wednesday – emphasizing Abercrombie tacitly has admitted an investigation he first mentioned in December has failed to produce a birth certificate – the New York Daily News declared in its headline, "Record of President Obama's birth in 1961 is 'in the archives': Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie."

The Daily News lead paragraph stated: "Officials in Hawaii have tracked down papers indicating that President Obama was indeed born in their state, according to its new governor."

But the New York paper acknowledged that Abercrombie has not yet presented the proof to the public, stating "he again promised he would do 'what I can do' to publicly verify that records show Obama was born in Hawaii and is a citizen of the United States, making him eligible to be President."

The ABC News report, meanwhile, noted, "Despite his assurance to end the controversy, the governor has yet to present the document."

We're making progress on birth certificate ~ By Joseph Farah

I tell you, it's not just Obama who is going to pay a price in history for this scandal. All those who aided and abetted him in the media are going down, too.

Now that this story shows no signs of going away, I think they're beginning to realize what they missed.
The media spin about Barack Obama's birth certificate and proof of eligibility and the attacks on the "birthers" is starting to slip. Joseph Farah tells us that some of the media elitists are beginning to at least want Obama to release that actual birth certificate supposedly kept in the archives in Hawaii.

Have you noticed how much better informed the major news media have become about the missing birth certificate since Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie entered the picture?

It wasn't that long ago that most of the TV talking heads and alleged news reporters were telling the American people that Barack Obama had released his birth certificate. They seemed incapable of comprehending the difference between the digital short-form certification of live birth offered up by the Obama campaign in 2008 and a standard, long-form birth certificate we're all familiar with.

How many of you recall Bill O'Reilly and Chris Matthews waiving copies of the certification of live birth in front of the camera, telling the American people they had the actual birth certificate?

How many times do you recall them viciously attacking those who persisted in demanding the absolute minimal documentation needed to ensure Obama was indeed constitutionally eligible to serve as president – without ever giving any of those conscientious, principled, rational advocates of the rule of law and openness in government the opportunity to answer their ad hominem insults?

How many times have you heard them characterize "birthers" as a fringe group of crackpots and conspiracy nuts?

Now, all of a sudden, as polls continue to show Americans increasingly skeptical about Obama's birth narrative despite the media's stonewalling and obfuscating, along comes the new socialist governor of Hawaii who admits the possibility that the release of some actual evidence might indeed quell what is turning into widespread public distrust of both the government and what Rush Limbaugh astutely calls "the state-sponsored media."

He says he would like to release the birth certificate – though I doubt he ever will.

But that leaves O'Reilly, Matthews and the rest of the Big Media in a dilemma. After all, they have been pretending for years that the birth certificate has already been released.

It didn't take Matthews long to do a 180.

Hey, if the Democratic governor of Hawaii wants the birth certificate released, then he's for it, too. He even bullied two certifiably leftist pundits on his panel to capitulate to his demand as well.

O'Reilly is sure to follow suit if he hasn't already.

Looks like the birth certificate issue is reaching critical mass.
