Obama 'doesn't know what to do in Iraq'

“It is a dark evil,” she said. “Islamic supremacists believe they need to rule the world. And they need to know that isn’t going to happen.”

“We have to realize that ISIS has declared war. They declared war on anyone who is not them.”

Bachmann said it is the duty of our generation to defeat the evil of Islamic supremacism.

“We have the military might to defeat them. But we need to engage the enemy. We have to decide if we have the political will to defeat them.”
We would think that our intelligence community would have been able to see the dangers of ISIS months ago.  We would then safely assume that our President has been advised of the threat of ISIS not only in Iraq, but also to our homeland.

But in the meantime, Obama's response has been for a "humanitarian" crisis, and has the belief that the government in Baghdad must be changed in order to keep Iraq from falling to a "JV squad" of terrorists.  Obama and his Democrat minions don't seem to understand the situation in Iraq.

Rep. Michele Bachmann has it right.  In the case of ISIS, there is not going to be a political solution. Back in June, Judge Jeanine Pirro had it right.

And apparently, the Underestimator-in-chief has not figured it out yet. It's kind of hard to get peace through weakness. Just sayin'...

Bachmann: 'Military power is the only thing the Islamists understand'

Purported ISIS massacre of captured Iraqi Army troops in June
WASHINGTON – As Islamic terrorists attempt to massacre as many as 40,000 refugees stranded on a mountain, mostly woman and children, while threatening to kill 50,000 Christians if they don’t convert to Islam and reportedly beheading children, President Obama finally conceded the “potential” for genocide in Iraq, but steadfastly insisted there is “no American military solution” to the crisis.

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., who is in the Middle East, strongly begged to differ.

“Military power is the only thing they understand. They have to be defeated militarily,” she told WND by phone from Amman, Jordan.

“If diplomacy was going to work, it would have worked a long time ago,” she concluded, in sharp contrast to the president’s claim in a televised address Thursday night that only a political solution can stop the march of the terrorist army called ISIS, while also giving the go-ahead for limited airstrikes in Iraq.

Bachmann insisted that diplomacy can’t work when dealing with fanatics who are going to keep fighting “and beheading children until they achieve their goal, which is to kill every infidel who doesn’t flee or convert to Islam.”

As an additional feature here on Blogging In Our Time 2 Escape, this blog will be including videos that have been posted on the johnny2k's America Facebook page! Videos can sometimes say more than what can be expressed in text.  Be sure to visit the archive with hundreds of videos to peruse!

The following scene is a true story. The names have not been changed to protect the guilty. No editing was done to the video segment in the first one minute other than to add some titling. President's full statement is included at the end of the video. Besides, you couldn't make this up.

WikiLeaks spurs Big Brother to strike ~ By Diana West

It is getting to feel a lot like Christmas, with Julian Assange being the Santa Claus bringing us the gift that won't stop giving. Diana writes:
WikiLeaks is exposing the way our government conducts "business." It is not a pretty process.
It seems that the released documents on WikiLeaks is telling us more about our government than Uncle Sam really wants us to know about. While WikiLeaks is damaging to our national security, and putting our troops deployed in the "overseas contingency" battlegrounds in danger, is an effort to shut down Julian Assange and his website, WikiLeaks, possibly more harmful to our freedom? Is it really that "dangerous" for U.S. citizens to know what our government has been doing in the name of "diplomacy"?

Then came WikiLeaks, Internet publisher of leaked information, prompting the question: What is more important – the information theft that potentially harms government power, or the knowledge contained therein that might salvage our national destiny?

Whether such information was originally "classified," the body politic should be electrified by the fact, as revealed by the leaked cables, that nations from Pakistan to Afghanistan to Saudi Arabia are regularly discussed as black holes of infinite corruption into which American money gushes, either through foreign aid or oil revenue, and unstaunched and unstaunchable sources of terror or terror-financing. If this were to get out – and guess what, it did – the foreign policy of at least the past two administrations, Democrat and Republican alike, would be unmasked as a colossal failure.

And maybe that's what behind the acute distress over WikiLeaks. Last week, I put it down to political embarrassment; this week, a new, more disturbing factor has emerged. The state power structure, the establishment more or less, believes itself to be threatened. Its fearful response has been quite startling. First, there were calls for WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange's execution; these have simmered down to calls for trial. Amazon and PayPal cut off service to the WikiLeaks website. Then, in a twist or kink perhaps beyond even Orwell's ken, Assange was arrested without bond this week on an Interpol warrant over very fishy-sounding charges about "unprotected" sex in Sweden – a country, we may now ironically note, of draconian laws governing sexual intercourse and no laws whatsoever governing violent Islamic no-go zones.

Things went completely "1984"-ish when the federal government weighed in, actually warning federal employees not to read the WikiLeaks materials – still "classified," after all. Creepier still, the Library of Congress followed suit, voluntarily blocking the WikiLeaks site from library computers. Now, universities are warning students not to post public comments about WikiLeaks on Facebook or Twitter – lest Big Brother takes note and holds a federal employment grudge.

Suddenly, it's not about secret information anymore, or diplomatic relations. It's about control. The atmosphere chills.

It's treason, with a capital 'T' ~ By Barbara Simpson

You surely will have no doubt where Barbara stands on the issue of what to do with Julian Assange after you've read this column! In another column that I posted just before this one, WorldNetDaily.com reported that Julian Assange may have been selling classified documents. To whom, we do not know - yet - but that story definitely reinforces Barbara's argument that Julian Assange and Pfc. Bradley Manning should be tried for TREASON, and if found guilty, face a firing squad as traitors.

RELATED STORY:

WikiLeaks sold classified intel, claims website's co-founder

UPDATE:
Watch the following video starting at 4:38. It supports Barbara's contention that "We've got to show some guts and stop being intimidated my international slime and homegrown cowardice and sleaze.":

Not fearing the guy with a laptop and $35 website is REALLY cheap spin

WikiLeaks. It sounds like a new video game – aimed at prepubescent males.

It sounds like a rip-off of Wikipedia – an Internet, do it yourself, history of everything, but without verification.

WikiLeaks isn't any of that. It's the intentional release online of hundreds of thousands of highly classified government and military documents.

The name is a play on words – but it's neither a game nor a joke.

The release of those secret documents has worldwide security ramifications. Government informants are in danger, sources of information are lost, the enemy knows many of our plans and intentions and diplomats have seen their most private comments and assessments splashed across front pages.

While some regard the document dumps as merely spitting in the eye of the United States government, diplomacy and the military, what Julian Assange has done through his now notorious website is betray the United States, our State Department, military and our allies across the world.

The most recent documents posted contained personal comments among world leaders about each other, many of which were catty and personally demeaning. Others revealed information and contacts between diplomats never intended to be public. Some were innocuous; others were critical.

What WikiLeaks and Julian Assange have done is treason, and that also applies to American Pfc. Bradley Manning who stole documents and provided them to Assange. He clearly sold out the military, our country and our allies.

Invite royal war vet to D-Day anniversary ~ By Roger Hedgecock

By Roger Hedgecock Posted: June 01, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 Smiling shyly standing next to her British army lorry in World War II uniform, young Elizabeth Windsor, daughter of the king, service #230873, poses for a picture. A volunteer enlistment, she drove the truck and trained as a truck mechanic. Today, age 83, she is Queen Elizabeth II, the head of state of the only European country to defy Hitler in World War II and the only living head of state to serve in uniform in that war. On June 6, President Obama and French President Sarkozy will commemorate the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings at Normandy. Queen Elizabeth won't be there. She wasn't invited. Accusations are flying as to how this blunder occurred and who is to blame. The queen, a palace spokesman says, would have liked to attend. Sarkozy is the host for the commemoration. Why didn't he invite the queen? No comment other than a French source saying that the commemoration was "primarily a Franco-American ceremony." Sarkozy should be reminded that the liberation of France from German occupation and French collaboration was "primarily an Anglo-American" invasion which cost more than 37,000 allied lives. U.S. Engagement of Iran Is Futile ~ By Mustafa Hijri

No doubt, international conflicts should be resolved peacefully and through negotiations rather than through the use of force. However, engaging Iran will turn out to be an outdrawn process with no positive outcomes for either the U.S. or the international community. Such a process will only serve the interests of the theocracy in Tehran. read more | digg story ~ Submitted by ramiro

Are we really that dumb? ~ By Hal Lindsey

It was bad enough that Barack Obama bowed down to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. But then, when it was seen by the public, the White House then lied about it. So, which was worse? Bowing down to a foreign royal or the denial which was an obvious lie to the American people? Does Obama really think the American people are that dumb? You decide. read more | digg story

Let's hug it out ~ By Craig R. Smith

Obama is wrong for the words he used, but suffice to say his approach to the future can be captured in a single term: "chick" diplomacy. He wants to talk and hug it out. He'll never fix the problems. He'll just talk about them so we all feel better. Words will now speak louder than actions. He wants all the world to know he knows how you feel. [Continue reading] digg story
