Rainbow After the Storm ~ Video by Fortis Media

Today, I decided to post this wonderful message that I watched Friday night, by JJ McNown, while he was pastoring the Foundation Church Portland (when he was a little younger!), which was featured on JJ's youtube channel, Fortis Media. Well, I meant to get this done before morning came, so that many of you would have the time to watch it on your day off. But, that didn't happen, because time ran out on me last night and I failed to get this posted. So, here it is now.

From the video description:
What you are about to see is a sermon I delivered during my time pastoring the church I founded when I turned 22. No matter what storm you’re presently going through, the Lord has ordained that it will end and that blessings will follow.

Listen to this message, and you’ll never think of a rainbow the same way again.

JJ is talking about the rainbow, and how it is mentioned in the Bible several times, and about storms that veil the sun for a time. To get through the storms, it is important to build your home (life) on a rock foundation, rather than the sand that will shift with the rain, and collapse the home (or your life).

I can assure you that watching this will give you hope, and peace, especially if you are going through a storm in your life right now. I pray that if you see this, that you will share it with others that may be going through storms in their life.

Heaven: The real thing ~ By Greg Laurie

By Greg Laurie Posted: June 13, 2009 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 When you have had someone close to you die, especially a child, everything changes. You see life much differently. And although it has been almost 11 months now since my son Christopher departed for heaven, the sadness lingers. I have found myself thinking much more deeply about heaven. My interest in knowing and talking about heaven is greater than it ever has been. Heaven is more personal, more real and nearer than ever. But I have questions about heaven, just as many people do. We wonder what heaven is like. Is it a real place or just a state of mind? What will our new bodies be like? How will we recognize each other? The Bible has a lot to say about what heaven will be like. First of all, heaven is an actual place. Jesus said, "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:2 NKJV). The word "mansion" used here could be translated "dwelling place." As to whether or not this is speaking of a place we will live in or of the new body God will give us, we don't know for sure. But one thing is certain: Heaven is a real place for real people. One of the words the Bible uses to describe heaven is "paradise." Jesus told the thief on the cross, "Today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43 NKJV). Literally translated, "paradise" is a word that would be used in the first century to describe the garden of a king. It is difficult for us to imagine how luxurious and splendid this would seem to a person living during this time. If you were a relatively impoverished person and were given the privilege of going into the walled garden of a king, it would overwhelm your senses. Imagine if you had the privilege of dying and going to heaven, and then coming back to earth. How would you describe it? The apostle Paul had an experience like this, and we find his account of it in 2 Corinthians 12. [CONTINUE READING]

Hal Lindsey - Prophesied cashless society: It's almost here

"There are good and logical reasons for the elimination of cash. It will essentially wipe out the cash dependent drug trade. It will remove the incentive behind most petty crimes. Paper money is dirty, spreads diseases and it is expensive to print and expensive to handle. Electronic money addresses all of these issues in a single stroke."

What really happens when you die?

Find out the incredible truth of what Bible actually says ... and doesn't say. Mr. Kovacs has done an excellent job of reading his Bible. It is really refreshing to see someone really dig in the Bible to see what it has to say, and not take for granted what other people say about the Bible. Mr. Farah, Joe, isn't the only one who knows the Bible. I discovered the truth from my study of the Bible in the 1970's. ~ getoler
It's a question that has echoed throughout the ages: what really happens when you die? And at the moment of death, does the Bible state believers remain conscious and get immediately transported to a paradise called heaven to spend time with fellow Christians whose physical lives have also come to an end? The answers just might floor you. [Continue reading]

My 2009 resolutions - By Janet Porter

Janet writes, "I still need to write my new year's resolutions ... and a WND article. I'm all about multi-tasking, so this year I'm going to attempt to do both at once. That way, I have between 10,000 and 20,000 accountability partners who read this and may want to join me, at least in part." I just want to tell Janet, I know the feeling! To continue on, Janet writes:

A lot of people don't make resolutions because they have a poor track record of keeping them. One thing's for sure, if you don't set a goal, you're sure not to make it. I also think there's great value in writing them down. Habakkuk 2:2-3 says: Then the LORD answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. [Continue reading]

Some Christians see red over 'Green' Bible

Recycled paper = garbage. Green Bible = blasphemy. "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book" (Revelation 22:18)

My opinion has not changed from what I've believed for many years. (See related story below.) The "Green Bible" is absolute, blatant heresy and blasphemy. I am one of those that is seeing red! read more | digg story, submitted by Tookson Related story: I'm Seeing Red Whenever I See Green - By John Kubicek, April 22, 2008

Moses would have been freaked out had he seen this scene!

Exodus 32:7-8 - Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go down, because your people, whom you brought up out of Egypt, have become corrupt. They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf..." But, cows with shiny eyes? Can you say, "(un)Holy cow!"? Sorry,it's a bit of disturbing humor. For picture and information at Coast to Coast A.M. digg this story!

Why do bad things happen to good people? - by Greg Laurie

Greg answers the question that is commonly heard: Why does God allow bad things to happen to good – and even godly people? That question brings us to one of the greatest, and most tragic, stories in all the Bible: The book of Job. One of the principal things this book does is to help us think through this whole issue of the goodness of God. read more | digg story
