Guess what prompted Obama to release birth certificate!

But the timing raised questions from the Post.

"Why, for example, did Obama officials wait so long to tamp down rumors that have dogged the president since the 2008 presidential campaign? Why did they release the forms on the very day that Trump is making his first visit to New Hampshire, and during a week when Obama is slated to make other major announcements about his national security team?" the newspaper wrote.

While the White House denied any connection, the sequence reveals that following weeks of discussions by Trump, on April 20 "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President" skyrocketed to the No. 1 spot among all books on Amazon.com, the next day Corley was authorized to find the document and on April 22 Obama signed a letter to state officials making the formal request for help.

Dan Pfeiffer, White House communications director, said the administration considered the issue closed.

First, it was The Donald (Donald Trump) that started getting media attention by requesting the President to show his long-form birth certificate. That went on for just about a month, and the President did nothing. The Donald has now been claiming that he is responsible for getting the President to do something, like showing the birth certificate. REALLY?  NO! I don't think so!

I think this story at WND.com is much more accurate than Donald Trump's pumped up ego trying to take the credit. Since Donald was on "The View," it had been around a month. But, when the Drudge Report mentioned the book, "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President," and it went to #1 of ALL books at Amazon, in less than a week later, Barack Obama is releasing that long-lost long-form birth certificate from the State of Hawaii (you know, the one that even Hawaii's Gov. Neal Abercrombie couldn't locate). I'm just sayin'...

Guess what prompted Obama to release birth certificate!
Request to Hawaii came day after Corsi book hit No. 1

WASHINGTON – Barack Obama finally has released his long-form birth certificate from Hawaii, and a Washington Post report today explains how the decision came about because of the president's distress that questions about his eligibility were dominating news cycles and his important messages were getting no traction.

So it happened on April 21, White House Counsel Robert Bauer told Anne Kornblut at the Post, that he asked Obama's outside counsel, Judy Corley of Perkins Coie, to contact the Hawaii Department of Health to find out what would be needed to get the copies of the birth certificate.

That, of course, was less than a full day after the definitive book on presidential eligibility, "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President," was featured on the Drudge Report and rocketed to No. 1 on Amazon – weeks before it even is due to the published.

The in-depth investigation of Obama is by two-time No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi, and the Drudge Report declared, "The street date is a LONG month away, and author Jerome Corsi, the man who torpedoed John Kerry's presidential dreams with SWIFT BOAT, has gone underground and is holding his new findings this close."

Drudge wondered then whether the president's attorneys will "attempt to interfere with the book's distribution?" and whether the book will "finally – once and for all – put an end to the growing controversy?"

The Post reported the president's concerns had been raised when he was interviewed by ABC's George Stephanopoulos – and he expected a discussion of financial issues.

Instead, he was peppered with questions about his eligibility controversy – an issue that possible 2012 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump had elevated from being a topic of strong interest across America to the mainstream issue of the 2012 race.

Trump had consulted repeatedly with researchers assembled by WND to investigate the Obama eligibility issue in his campaign.

The Post reported that suddenly there was a "growing sense within the White House that the mainstream media was perpetuating a dangerous myth."

Obama, described by the Post as "incredulous," was warned that the questions might even rise to confront him. So it was on April 19, the newspaper said, Obama asked about getting a copy of his form.

"'It wasn't one specific thing' that tipped the scales, a senior administration official said. But Trump was a major factor, by the White House's own admission, as the real estate mogul's near-constant interviews extended a discussion that the president found 'frivolous,'" the newspaper said.

Suddenly, Obama was the driving force behind getting the documentation.

Rocket to No. 1! Drudge ponders 'Obama's true identity'

Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND and WND Books, the publisher of the book, declared, "Potentially, I believe this book is the political endgame for Barack Obama."

"I don't see how he can be re-elected with hard questions and new evidence of his ineligibility raised by the book. It's a game-changer – and the news media blackout on this issue has now turned into a media feeding frenzy to cover their negligent rear ends."

At Alexa, the Internet information company, "Where's the Birth Certificate?" was rated today as the hottest product.

"Products that people are coveting right now ... 1. Where's the Birth Certificate?" the site said.

The site also listed at No. 2 among "Hot Pages," the Drudge reference to "Book to Reveal Obama's True Identity?"

Between now and May 17, when the book officially debuts, video ad spots are promoting "Where's the Birth Certificate?"

Just as I was reading this column this morning, Jerome Corsi came on Coast to Coast A.M. to talk to George Noory. The main topic was going to be about a big story concerning the abiotic oil theory, but because of this story about his book being featured on Drudge, and then the Rush Limbaugh mention, George and Jerome briefly discussed the Obama birth certificate story and how it has taken off since Donald Trump had brought it up.

We may as well just face it, the Obama birth certificate controversy is not going to die out like Obama and his mainstream media friends wanted it to. It is no longer going to stay buried.

As you read in the excerpt at the top of this page, Joseph Farah had stated, "I don't see how he can be re-elected with hard questions and new evidence of his ineligibility raised by the book." But I am wondering if re-election would be the only problem facing Obama after the book is released. As stated on the Drudge Report:
Will the book finally -- once and for all -- put an end to the growing controversy?

Or will it just ignite new ones!?
Could a new controversy be whether or not Barack Obama should resign from office if startling evidence is exposed, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Obama is not eligible to be President? What would those in the mainstream media or the ladies on "The View" do if that was the case, after all this time of denigrating WND, Donald Trump, and anyone who asked, "Where is the Birth Certificate?" I'm just sayin'...

Definitive book on presidential eligibility hits top spot on Amazon

It only took a matter of hours, but once it was featured on the Drudge Report today, the definitive book on presidential eligibility, "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President" skyrocketed to the No. 1 spot among all books on Amazon.com.

The top ranking comes weeks before the official release date of May 17 for the in-depth investigation by two-time No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi.

The Drudge Report declared, "The street date is a LONG month away, and author Jerome Corsi, the man who torpedoed John Kerry's presidential dreams with SWIFT BOAT, has gone underground and is holding his new findings this close.

"'It's utterly devastating,' reveals a source close to the publisher. 'Obama may learn things he didn't even know about himself!'" Drudge said.

Drudge wondered whether the president's attorneys will "attempt to interfere with the book's distribution?" and whether the book will "finally – once and for all – put an end to the growing controversy?"

The image of the book was seen on Rush Limbaugh's personal computer today as he broadcast his top-rated radio program from his Florida studio.
Jerome Corsi's "Where's the Birth Certificate?" book can be partially seen featured on the Drudge Report on Rush Limbaugh's computer as he broadcast his radio show from South Florida Wednesday, April 20, 2011.

"The book results from three years of continuing research," Corsi said today. "I traveled to Kenya and to Hawaii. I have hired private investigators and had the help of inside sources in Kenya, Indonesia and Hawaii. The book will contain startling new information, and the release of the book will be orchestrated through WND with documents the public has never seen before."

Interest in the controversy has accelerated in recent months. There was Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie's famous pledge to find Barack Obama's birth certificate and make it public to shut up the so-called "birthers."

The governor's quest raised national interest in the issue – especially when he failed to produce the promised documentation. Members of Congress have raised similar questions about Obama's eligibility, and state lawmakers are considering plans to require documentation from presidential candidates.

Then came Trump out of the blue, asking questions WND's newsroom team has been asking for the last two and a half years, raising the national debate to furious new heights.

Now another shoe is ready to drop.

Don't come knocking on my door ~ By Patrice Lewis

I usually do this little intro blurb after I've formatted the page and everything else involved. That's right, I save the best part for last (wink). But, it can also be the hardest part of the work I do in updating this blog. And sometimes, it is Patrice Lewis' columns that are the most difficult to write an intro for. Why? Because they are written so well, and I have to ask myself how anything I write here could ever compare. I really want people - as many as possible - to read what Patrice has to say. I don't want to bore anyone before they get to the column to read it for themselves.

Today is especially that case, because I am hoping there will be many "Grasshoppers" that will read this today, and in the hope they become "Ants." (You'll understand what I'm saying after you read her column). Like Patrice says:

... yet we have thoughtless and unprepared friends, relatives and strangers – most of whom are better off financially than we are – who are doing nothing. But they will blithely come knocking at our door when times get tough and expect us to cheerfully and freely share everything. The reality is, we cannot feed them all.
I can easily conclude this intro now, with my usual:  Just sayin'...

Please, folks, become Ants. If you insist on remaining a Grasshopper, don't come a-knocking at our door. We may not answer, because so many have already been let in ahead of you.

On Thursday I made a severe error in judgment. I logged onto the Drudge Report, where these headlines jumped out at me:
These headlines got me worried because they coincide with a couple of entries I recently posted on my blog: "Predictions for the rest of 2010," and "More cheery news." I'll pause while you go read those items.

...

Now that you're back, can you understand why I find myself nervous about the future?

When I'm nervous, I tend to can food. In the last two days I've canned 33 pints of mixed vegetables and 14 quarts of chicken breasts.

Because, you see, I expect the bleep to hit the fan within a year, possibly less. Mother hen that I am, I want to gather my chicks close and protect them. The frustrating thing is, those of us with concerns about the economy can't help but wonder how much of it is orchestrated. Whatever the cause, things appear to be spiraling out of control. So I'm doing the only thing I can do, and that's to prepare for hard times.

Of course, most people aren't preparing. History is full of people who ignored warning signs and put their heads in the sand (and their rumps in the air). These are the folks who derive great amusement at us who prepare, smugly calling us conspiracy nuts or lunatics. Then they'll calmly inform us of their contingency plans: "Well, we'll just come live with you if things get tough."

These are the Grasshoppers of society, and I've written about them before. These are the people who still have their jobs and homes, but seem incapable or unwilling to look beyond the shallow concerns of everyday life to read the headlines or see the storm clouds gathering on the horizon.

This attitude makes Ants very, very nervous.

One woman posted on my blog: "I live on 1 acre in town, and we have 48 relatives within walking distance of our house. If only four people show up to be fed and cared for, my six-month supply is cut in half to three months. The more people who show up for help … well, just do the division! I'm trying to build my stock and some nights I don't sleep well just thinking about how quickly it could be depleted. This is not fear talking; this is wrapping my brain around reality."

This woman has tried warning her friends and family, but when she saw them "taking cruises and trips to Florida," she knew the message wasn't getting through.

Grasshoppers, every one of them. Grasshoppers are not people who are unemployed or facing eviction or dealing with medical bills. Grasshoppers are people who have jobs and are perfectly capable of preparing, but who deny that hard times could ever happen.

Whenever I address this subject in a column, there's always someone who "jokingly" announces that he'll just come live with us if the bleep hits the fan. My standard reply is, "Stand in line. There are dozens ahead of you." The honest truth of the matter is, "Why is it MY responsibility to feed YOU when you've had plenty of warning that times are going to be tough, and you've just been too stupid or stubborn to listen?"

And the trouble is, the woman with 48 relatives shares a major concern with other Ants: We love our Grasshoppers to pieces. They are our friends and family. So the question arises – how do we decide who comes to live with us and share our supplies? How many Grasshoppers can one Ant support?

Republican Djou wins special election for Congress in Hawaii

More great news for Republicans, this time from Hawaii! This is a huge victory. I was alerted to this story in a tweet from Matt Drudge. Judging by the sub-headline, "Hanabusa leads Case with nearly all the votes counted," it is apparent that the big race was between two Democrats as far as the newspaper was concerned. Which is okay, because it split the Democrat vote enough for Djou, the Republican, to win.
The race was on the radar of the national parties and political pundits, but many expected the seat to remain Democratic in a district that supported Obama by 72 percent.

Sensibilities changed in January after Republican Scott Brown flipped the seat formerly belonging to Democrat Ted Kennedy in Massachusetts.

Suddenly, national eyes were on Hawaii as the GOP went looking for the "next Scott Brown," and a chance to score an upset on Obama's home turf heading into the fall midterm elections.
Hanabusa leads Case with nearly all the votes counted

By B.J. Reyes

POSTED: 04:40 p.m. HST, May 22, 2010

Republican Charles Djou emerged victorious tonight in the special election to fill Hawaii's vacancy in Congress, giving Hawaii it's first GOP member of Congress in 20 years.

Djou won the special mail-in election with 39.5 percent of the vote in the first printout, released at 6 p.m.

The first printout represented nearly all of the 170,312 returned by voters in the district, which stretches from Waikiki and downtown to Mililani.

Democrat Colleen Hanabusa was second at 30.8 percent, with Democrat Ed Case third at 27.6 percent.

“This is a momentous day,” Djou told a jubilant crowd at state party headquarters. “We have sent a message to the United States Congress. We have sent a message to the ex-governors. We have sent a message to the national Democrats! We have sent a message to the machine.

“We have told them that we will not stand idly by as our great nation is overburdened by too much taxes, too much debt and too much wasteful spending.”

Djou is Hawaii's first GOP member of Congress since Pat Saiki, who represented the party from 1987 to 1991.

Eleven other candidates combined to receive 2.1 percent of the vote.

Former U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie announced in December plans to resign his seat to concentrate solely on his campaign for governor, setting off a special election campaign unlike any in state history.

By the time he formally resigned Feb. 28, the field of three main contenders had formed and the Office of Elections -- after openly considering whether to postpone the vote until the September primary to save money -- settled on a mail-in process at the cost of about $1 million.

A Star-Bulletin/KITV poll in January gave Case, the former 2nd District congressman, the edge on name recognition and favorability, followed by Hanabusa, the state Senate president, and then Djou, a City Councilman.

Jesse Kelly - Send a Warrior to Congress"Send a warrior to Congress."

"Does this look like a Rino?"

In the battleground of American political power, candidates for office tend to use every weapon at their disposal to be heard above the din.

Now, a U.S. Marine who helped lead the initial charge into Iraq to oust Saddam Hussein is taking that approach literally by brandishing his M-16 assault rifle in some eye-catching campaign fundraising ads.

"I'm taking full credit for that," says 28-year old Jesse Kelly of Tucson, Ariz., a Republican seeking to boot Democrat Gabrielle Giffords from the U.S. House of Representatives. "If you're not going to get anyone's attention, you might as well not waste your time or money."

Kelly, who is married and has a 9-month-old son, is splashing his spots across the Internet on high-profile sites such as the Drudge Report, and offering no apologies about the weapon imagery.

"I think people understand fully well that I'm serving my country," he said. "I'm in Iraq at war for my nation. I'm not posing in my bedroom with a gun." [READ ENTIRE STORY]
