Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Saturday, Jan 21, 2012

I need to be different, and I need to do things differently.

As you are
From The Daily Motivator ~ By Ralph Marston ~ Friday, Jan 20, 2012

You are here, as you are, and it is good. You are alive, aware, uniquely inspired, and able to choose from a vast array of possibilities.

Don’t get caught up in worrying about what could have been or what should have been. Instead, turn your awareness toward the very real and present beauty of what is.

It was in the last paragraph written by Ralph Marston, that I knew I needed to start this blog post in this way: "You have this amazing and valuable moment, so live it to the fullest. Feel the immense goodness, as you are, and be all you can be."

When I say that "I need to be different, and I need to do things differently" I'm not saying that anything about ME needs to change. What I am saying is that I am okay with the fact that I don't exactly do things like everyone else. I've seen the way so many news websites and blogs all look alike these days. Even Joseph Farah changed the look of WorldNetDaily, now known as WND... Am I supposed to do everything like all the big players are doing it now, or is it okay if I stay "old school"?

Yes, it is true that things change or evolve, especially when it comes to technology! But it's also possible - at the same time - that it is just my older age and the desire to maintain the status quo. I was going through that feeling around Christmas in 2011.

So, here is my point: I kind of liked the way we were free at one time. Taking away that freedom is rubbing me a little bit wrong. It is not the "change" that I would ever hope for!

For now, I am sticking to the traditions that I've known: I still want to "Bring on the Fireworks!" every July 4th, on that day we celebrate our Independence Day. I'm just sayin'...

Exclusive: Robert Ringer exhorts Republicans to focus on core issue of this election
From WND Commentary ~ By Robert Ringer ~ Published Jan 18, 2012

Every time you think the media are about to run out of ideas for transforming a nonstory into a spectacular news event, they manage to come up with yet another gem. That said, forgive me for adding my two cents worth to the Bain Capital brouhaha.

Those who know Newt Gingrich best have long predicated he would implode, even after he shot to the top of the polls, which he managed to do by cleverly playing the role of the calm, intellectual, peacemaking elderly statesman who was above the fray. So Gingrich’s angry obsession with taking down MittMan, even if it means destroying his own chances of winning the Republican nomination, is not surprising.

After observing his words and actions – from his climate-changing couch love-fest with Nancy Pelosi to his infamous “right-wing social engineering” comment about Paul Ryan’s budget plan – and then his scorched-earth attacks on free-market capitalism – I’ve come to the conclusion that Newt is not just a nasty, egomaniacal, self-destructive, undisciplined flip-flopper.

Seriously, I can not make this stuff up! While in the process of working on another blog story, "Occupied Nation ~ By Patrice Lewis," on Sunday morning, a subject came up on Fox & Friends Sunday that took me by surprise. I had not heard about this before Sunday. Isn't it interesting that it came out right before the July 4th holiday weekend? Surely, it was just ironic coincidence.

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Thursday, Jan 19, 2012

It was driving me crazy in the last few days, knowing that there was so much I wanted to get posted on this blog. I thought it was going to be a Tuesday (Jan 17) "WIFLI" issue when I was finally was able to start on this late Monday night. By Tuesday morning, I still had more work to do on this post, but snow was on my driveway that needed to be removed, and I had some paperwork that I needed to get done. I ran out of time. Well, no problem... "I'll get 'er done Wednesday," I was thinking. I found some more compelling stories to add to this post after doing a lot of reading and listening to talk radio, and again, I ran out of time.

So, you see, it wasn't really a case of "when I feel like it" (WIFLI) this week, but more like OPTDW (Other Priorities To Deal With... aren't acronyms awesome?), along with getting the right information that I could find for you to dive into this week.

Here it is, finally; another great WIFLI issue for you to consume. At first, you may not see a relationship between any of the articles/blogs that I've included in this issue. However, there is something that ties it all together. The clue is in the John Stossel column ("Who should stay home Election Day"). I have no doubt that even some of my most loyal readers, many whom are Conservatives and/or Republicans, have not heard anything about a couple of the stories that I included today.

At one time, the fact that there was a great lack of awareness among the American public upset me greatly. I felt it was because people didn't care, and that doesn't ever end well. Apathy and freedom usually don't go hand in hand. Just ask those colonists that felt we needed to declare our independence from the British so that we could be free...

But now, I think I'm beginning to understand. And in my prayers every day, I've asked God to give me the resolve to not only keep learning, but also to give me the ability to bring about more awareness of the dangers this country is facing, and the strength to keep trying to inform people, even when it seemed nobody was listening.

After about five years of writing and working on my blogs, listening to several hours of talk radio every day, I finally prayed that I could forgive those that aren't in tune with all that is facing this country, and the world, for that matter. I had to get used to the fact that the "rest of us have lives. We are busy with things other than politics."

Per John Stossel, as you will read below, very few people take the time to access all of the information that is available. Not that many people even bother to vote. Stossel doesn't feel that is such a bad thing, if the electorate has very little idea about the issues, let alone all of the angles involved in each issue. Some people can't even identify pictures of Newt or Mitt.  (I'm just happy that John Walsh has people that watch AMW and CAN identify people that are on the most wanted lists!)

The part of doing this blog as a top priority in my life was due to wanting to help preserve our freedom. However, my friend Ralph Marston woke me up with his Daily Motivator you will see below, where he writes: "As soon as you let go of the want, you begin to see, to feel and to make positive use of the very real connections between you and whatever you envision." I think that explains everything I'm doing. I'm just sayin'...

Keystone XL pipeline to be rejected by Obama administration
From POLITICOPro.com ~ By DARREN GOODE | 1/18/12 11:51 AM EST ~ Via WND
TransCanada's planned route potent symbol in battle over U.S. energy policy

The State Department on Wednesday will reject the Keystone XL pipeline, multiple sources following the project told POLITICO.

The formal announcement is expected at 3 p.m. from Deputy Secretary of State William Burns. Although the permit would be rejected, TransCanada would still be allowed to continue to work on and pitch an alternative route through Nebraska.

Republicans in Congress and on the campaign trail have endlessly attacked President Barack Obama for putting environmental interests and the green lobby ahead of a project that they say would create thousands of jobs. Republicans scored a rare win this Congress by including a 60-day deadline for Obama to make a decision on the pipeline as part of the year-end deal on extending the payroll tax holiday.

But administration officials have been clear from the beginning that forcing a decision within 60 days would not yield enough time to make a final decision and that Republicans were doing so merely to create a new set of political talking points.

Romney put on defense at South Carolina debate, as GOP rivals fight for edge in state primary
From FoxNews.com ~ via WND ~ Published January 16, 2012

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Mitt Romney was put on defense out of the box at Monday night's Republican presidential primary debate -- answering questions about his record at private venture firm, Bain Capital; distancing himself from super PAC ads against fellow candidates; defending his record as Massachusetts governor, and dodging demands that he release his tax records.

But Romney fired back against the onslaught, saying he is proud of his record in business and as governor.

"We were fortunate to have an unemployment rate by the time I left office of 4.7 percent. Sounds pretty good today," Romney said. "And I was also proud of the fact that we balanced the budget every year I was in office. We reduced taxes 19 times, put in place a rainy day fund of over $2 billion by the time I left."

Still, with his rivals running out of time to make the case they are a viable and "conservative" alternative to the front-runner, the attacks were fast and furious.

Prizefight to watch: ‘Obama v. Arpaio’
Exclusive: Jerome Corsi explains Alinsky tactics being used against popular lawman
From WND Commentary ~ By Jerome R. Corsi ~ January 16, 2012

The front lines of the continuing Obama eligibility battle are being fought not in Washington, D.C., or before the U.S. Supreme Court, but in Maricopa County, Ariz.

Jerome R. Corsi
What is shaping up is an epic political battle in which the Obama White House has decided to launch a full-scale assault against local Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

In other words, the national battle on both illegal immigration and on the Obama birth certificate is rapidly coming down to a local duel that can be properly billed much like a heavyweight prizefight, as “Obama v. Arpaio.”

Moreover, it appears the White House has set February as the month Arpaio has either to comply with the Department of Justice demands, or face Eric Holder in federal court.

This is not coincidental.

February is also the month in which Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse will release it’s law enforcement report on Obama’s birth certificate and his eligibility to be president under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution.

Who should stay home Election Day
John Stossel hopes 'ignorant people' don't bother to cast ballots
From WND Commentary ~ By John Stossel ~ Published Tuesday, Jan 17, 2012

This is one reason I say those “get out the vote” drives are dumb. I take heat for saying that, but Bryan Caplan agrees. He’s a professor of economics at George Mason University and author of “The Myth of the Rational Voter: Why Democracies Choose Bad Policies.

“A lot of bad policies … pass by popular demand,” Caplan told me. “In order to do the right thing, you have to know something.”

The “informed citizen” is the ideal of democratic societies, but Caplan points out that average citizens have no incentive to become informed, while special interests do. The rest of us have lives. We are busy with things other than politics. That’s why our democratic government inflates the price of sugar through trade restrictions, even though American sugar consumers far outnumber American sugar producers.

By the way, you will soon see a sequel!

This Is How They Do It
From johnny2k Is Home ~ By John Kubicek ~ Monday, September 19, 2011

There will be one thing that will be apparent to you in a very short amount of time: President Obama will find a way to make the bad economy be for his advantage in November of 2012. Obama is in the process of making sure that Republicans and rich people get the blame for how bad things are going, even with all of the stupid ideas the Democrats and progressives have come up with that have failed.

It's Class Warfare 101. It's a trap, and Republicans can hardly avoid falling into it! It really isn't that difficult, is it? Obama's proposals to stimulate the economy with further spending and higher taxes will be a none-starter in the House, controlled by the Republicans. There are doubts that even the Senate will give Obama's plan a chance. When the economy totally fails, as it will pretty soon, Obama's propaganda arm in the media will reiterate the White House claims that it was because the Republicans refused to act on Obama's plan.

There will be anger out there amongst the potential voters in 2012 due to the fact that things are going so bad. The Democrats, especially those occupying the White House, are fully depending on the anger being directed towards wealthier Americans, which then will be extended to mean the Republican Party. It really wouldn't be that difficult for "the masses" to be influenced to direct their disgust toward those that we know as the Capitalists.

Live the richness
From The Daily Motivator ~ By Ralph Marston ~ Tuesday, Jan 17, 2012

Stop focusing your thoughts on wanting things, because whatever you want, by definition, you do not have. Instead, put your thoughts, your energy and your efforts into more fully manifesting and enjoying what you already do have, which is everything.

When your thoughts are focused on want, those thoughts build a wall of separation between you and life’s immense abundance. As soon as you let go of the want, you begin to see, to feel and to make positive use of the very real connections between you and whatever you envision.

Quit telling yourself you don’t have it, and begin realizing that you can already start to experience it. Look at your most treasured dream not as something you hope to achieve someday, but as something that is already unfolding right now as a result of your actions.

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Sunday, Jan 15, 2012

Thanks to Patrice Lewis for the motivating words she wrote in her column on Friday, I was in the mood, or as I'm now saying, in the WIFLI mode, today. Yesterday... umm... not so much.

While in the WIFLI mode today, I found the columns of both Patrice Lewis and Henry Lamb. I felt the need to explain the relationship between the two. It took me awhile before I discovered the treasure right in front of me.

And the BIG story is right in front of us ALL!

I probably hit the nail right on the head in my previous rant two days ago when I talked about how the media discusses the art of destroying a wonderful individual because of his core beliefs. The poster boy of being able to deflect or absorb personal attacks, of course, would be Tim Tebow. And, in the mean time, we have this conflict going on in the Republican Party for a 2012 nominee, where it seems the only answer to political aggression is an aggressive counter-attack.

Don't you wish GOP candidates
- or, at least... one of them - had the commitment and tenacity of a guy like Tim Tebow? (Or Herman Cain awhile back?)

I am very afraid of what this coming election in November 2012 will bring us. Can any of the remaining GOP candidates survive an onslaught of attacks from each other, along with from the media?

Yes, today was one of those WIFLI days. But I understand how Patrice Lewis feels when nothing is providing a spark to write SOMETHING. But while credit can be given to Tim Tebow and Patrice Lewis for getting me to write today, they were just the tools God used to get us motivated at this time. I'm just sayin'...

Professional politician; inept President
From RenewAmerica.com ~ By Henry Lamb ~ January 15, 2012

HENRY LAMB
Several of the Republican candidates have said that the 2012 elections are the most important elections in our lifetime. They are. The current powers in Washington, most of the media, as well as academia, want the nation to abandon, or at least, to reinterpret the U.S. Constitution to justify the Marxist idea that government should manage society. These folks are winning the battle.

They're winning because they've been working at it for a century. "They" are the progressives, like Barack Hussein Obama, who actually believe that government is a better manager of society and the economy than are free people in a free market. Obama apparently believes that his position endows him with the wisdom to make right decisions, regardless of the fact that he has had no real-life experience at anything other than organizing street protests.   READ MORE
And here is another profound excerpt from Henry's great commentary that I am emphasizing:
His adoring press amplified Obama's criticism of the Republican-controlled House for not approving his jobs bill, which included a healthy tax increase. "We can't wait," was his cry to the public. He failed to mention that the Republican House had passed more than 20 jobs bills that the Democrat-controlled Senate refused to even consider. He failed to mention that more than 20,000 jobs were left awaiting only his approval on the Keystone Pipeline project — studied for more than three years by the EPA.

Sometimes it’s hard to write a column every single week. Sometimes an idea “sings” to me and I can pound out a column in an hour. Other times it’s like pulling teeth.

This week it was pulling teeth. I had a couple of concepts, but nothing that “sang” to me enough to put it on paper and make logical sense of it.

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Friday, Jan 13, 2012

Today's post of my new WIFLI (An acronym for "When I Feel Like It" and pronounced like "Why-Fly") series is aimed toward some certain people: 1) People that don't like the truth to be told (Yes, you, Cass Sunstein!) and claim that the government must control speech; 2) People that think that it is wrong for Timmy Tebow to express his Christian beliefs; 3) People that are so enamored with Barack Obama that they see him as a world leader; AKA Messiah 4) People that fit in the ALL OF THE ABOVE category.

You see, I'm not going to allow the far left of the progressive Democrats to deny that their main goal is to silence people that want to tell you that the love of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior will do us much more good than depending on the government, much less, a global dictatorship. I'm not going to stay silent.

Could you imagine a world where people with an opinion are not allowed to say what they believe? Is that not what Cass Sunstein desires? And what about the uproar about the success of an NFL quarterback, a new star, that gives all the glory to Jesus Christ? Out loud, with a large TV audience watching?  Those currently in power really do not want that to be happening. But it is. They can't seem to stop it, other than their usual discrediting effort.

I invite you to tell me how I'm wrong, but I'm confident that you won't be able to. Obama's crowd has the motivation, and now they are cluelessly thinking that you and I shouldn't be allowed to talk about it and thus, actually think about it. It's not time for Big Brother, is it? Just fly like an eagle, and keep FREEDOM as your top priority.  I'm just sayin'....

Among the beliefs Sunstein classified as a “conspiracy theory” is advocating that the theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud.

I’ve never told any of this story publicly in the four years since it happened, but since I’m doing it, I may as well include something else. The previous spring we had been visiting our friends Chuck and Gena Norris, when Tim was asked in an interview to name someone he really admired. Tim’s answer was, “Chuck Norris.” Chuck really got a kick out of this. They’d never met or talked, but knowing we were going to this game, Chuck called me right then to see how it went. I said, “Well, I’m sitting here with Timmy right now.” Then I looked at Tebow and said, “Want to talk to Chuck Norris?”

The expression on his face was priceless. After seeing so many people in the previous hour blown away to meet Tim Tebow, it was fun to see Tim Tebow blown away to talk with Chuck Norris. “Mr. Norris, is this really you? Yes, sir. Thank you, sir. Glad to speak with you too, sir.” (BTW, Timmy called me sir, too, and he would call the janitor sir, and the respect would be just as genuine.)   READ MORE

We’re doomed! … and other left-wing tripe
Exclusive: Phil Elmore notes similarities between Nobel Prize, Doomsday Clock
From WND ~ By Phil Elmore ~ Published Wednesday, Jan 11, 2012

PHIL ELMORE
You’re doomed. You spend a lot of time doomed. If you’re somewhere between 30 and 40, movies like “The Day After” had you convinced you were going to be an ash silhouette before you graduated high school. Those of you in different demographics had other threats looming over you. In popular culture, these swords of Damocles all have in common the assertion that electing leftists and voting for left-wing policies can save you. This is what our televisions tell us, anyway.

The world remains a very bad place. Reuters reported earlier this week that the “symbolic Doomsday Clock calculated by a group of scientists was moved a minute closer to midnight on Tuesday, with the group citing inadequate progress on nuclear weapons reduction and climate change.” This announcement raises questions because leftists still control much of the free world, including the most important of Western political positions. That position is president of the United States.

Remember when Barack Hussein Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (before he had a chance actually to do anything to earn it)? This act has much in common with the proclamations of those moving the hands of the Doomsday Clock. Both the prize and the clock are political symbols. Their only import is in their function as barometers of leftist opinion.   READ MORE

Whenever you complain about something negative in your world, you reinforce your connection with that negativity. Your complaint can actually focus your energy toward perpetuating and empowering whatever you’re complaining about.

A much better strategy is to come up with a positive alternative, and then to act on it. Instead of merely reinforcing what is wrong, you have an opportunity to change the situation for the better.

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Thursday, Jan 12, 2012

The blog titles will no longer be saying "Time 2 Escape Daily" until further notice. For now, I'll be naming these posts, "Time to Escape WIFLI..." (WIFLI: When I Feel Like It!). Just wanted to let you know ahead of time that there may be some time gaps on this blog in the next month, and some of them could be lengthy. I just hope that you will check back here often to see if there is anything new. If not, please feel free to browse through previous posts. And if I am out of commission for awhile, which I probably will be, please be patient (while I'm a patient). I'll be itching to get back to work here if there is more than a few days away! I'll be climbing the walls!

I only put up one story today due to the lack of time. I had to actually do some snow removal today! The one story is good enough, just to put together one more piece of the puzzle; laws have been enacted over the last few months that could effectively be used against the people of the United States if needed by the current or future administrations. Some of the laws seem to be even more foreboding than many of the executive orders over the last 10 years. Forget the terrorists. It is almost as if We the People are getting closer to being the new enemy of the State.

Does that work for you? It doesn't for me. I'm just sayin'...

DHS collecting data, including 'personally identifiable information'
From WND ~ By Bob Unruh ~ Posted January 11, 2012

Documents have been uncovered revealing the Department of Homeland Security, run by Janet Napolitano under Barack Obama’s direction, is monitoring dozens of popular websites such as Facebook, Twitter, the Drudge Report, the Middle East Media Research Institute, and Jihad Watch, and is collecting “personally identifiable information.”

The documents first were uncovered by Reuters, and have been confirmed as genuine by Washington officials.

A document dated Nov. 15, 2011, and titled “Privacy Compliance Review of the NOC Media Monitoring Initiative” explained the program.

The government, the document said, “monitored publicly available online forums, blogs, public websites, and message boards to collect information used in providing situational awareness and establishing a common operating picture.”

Included in the information collected, the document confirmed, were “limited instances of personally identifiable information.” The data is used by the DHS and other agencies including the U.S. Secret Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. READ MORE

Time 2 Escape Daily for Wednesday, Jan 11, 2012

The theme of this post is about knowing when progressives are trying to take our country - OUR FREEDOM - from us! I think it would be heartbreaking if a progressive to the far left were to leave the fingerprints of a Communist takeover of our country and was able to do it just because people were uninformed... Or, should I say, ignorant?

Would you not go nuts if your local community allowed a pedophile to become the head of your local school board or even became the principle at your kid's school? Of course you would! But then why, for Heaven's sake, would you allow a person that sits in the White House Oval Room to appoint many, many known Communists to become "czars" - the heads of various "agencies" that want power over our basic freedoms - and then re-elect a traitor such as that?

But then, what is scarier, is that there are Republican candidates that would try to lay scorn at the feet of people that believe in Free Enterprise... I just hope that the people that will be voting for the next GOP candidate will understand who needs to be unseated from power, and that they will not want somebody that trashes the economic system that has made America great.

So, would you be comfortable with socialists and communists controlling much of our commerce? Or, are you really skeptical that we would have a President in office that would want to transform this great country into something totally different from what you grew up with? Can you imagine trying to get away with allowing your children to break open a thermometer so they could play with the mercury? No, you wouldn't dare do that. Not now. Because if you did, before you knew it, an EPA SWAT team would be descending on your home from black helicopters, and making sure you didn't have any lead-infested paint on your walls.

Do your homework, and understand the kind of people that Obama keeps appointing. Those people are far from being anything like the majority of the people that read this blog. Want proof? I have provided it. Just go through the stories I have posted over the last few years. I'm just sayin'...

Obama’s new czar tied to Occupy, ACORN, MoveOn
Cecilia Munoz previously worked at Soros' Open Society Institute
From WND ~ By Aaron Klein ~ Posted Tuesday, January 10, 2012

CECILIA MUNOZ OBAMA
Prior to her appointment yesterday as the next director of President Obama’s Domestic Policy Council, longtime immigration reform advocate Cecilia Munoz served on the board of George Soros’ Open Society Institute.

Munoz also chaired the board of directors of the Center for Community Change, or CCC, a Soros-funded community organizing initiative whose board boasts activists from ACORN, MoveOn.org and other radical groups.

GEORGE SOROS
Munoz is currently the head of the White House office of intergovernmental affairs. She most recently worked for the National Council of La Raza, an open-borders group that lobbies for mass immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens.

The official White House statement announcing her new appointment yesterday noted Munoz’s previous work for both the CCC and Soros’ Institute.  READ MORE

Ron Paul’s Saul Alinsky? ~ By Joel Richardson

Exclusive: Joel Richardson reveals 'scholar' candidate relies on for foreign policy
From WND ~ Posted January 9, 2012

Congressman Ron Paul
Let me begin by making it very clear there are a lot of reasons to love Ron Paul.

He is a man with incredibly refreshing principles, ideas, qualities and character. There have actually been a couple of occasions where after listening to Paul, I have come close to joining the Ron Paul revolution.

But despite the allure of Paul’s constitutional convictions, his perspectives on United States foreign policy, radical Islam and the nation of Israel are an absolute deal breaker. Paul’s emphatic trademark claim that the present rise of Islamic terrorism globally is the result of “blowback” from American actions abroad is nothing less than ridiculous and an absolute insult to my intelligence.    READ MORE

Romney and McCain: The GOP Frenemies’ Club ~ by Michelle Malkin
From MichelleMalkin.com ~ Posted January 10, 2012 09:53 PM

Michael Corleone said to “keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.” But what, pray tell, do we do with our frenemies? This is the awful, election-year quandary of movement conservatives. And everything you need to know about our heartache can be summed up in one image:

2008 presidential election loser John McCain and Mitt Romney together on the campaign trail.

When they’re together, they look like they’re holding each other (and the rest of us) hostage. Their toxic chemistry makes seething, ex-newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries look like Fred and Ginger. In New Hampshire last week after Romney’s Iowa caucus squeaker, an overly giddy McCain mocked his endorsee for his “landslide victory.” Awkward.

Then in South Carolina on Friday, McCain mistakenly referred to Romney as “President Obama” – as Romney and South Carolina GOP governor Nikki Haley rushed to correct the gaffe. Freudian slip? Senior moment? Sabotage? All of the above?   READ MORE

Time 2 Escape Daily for Tuesday, Jan 10, 2012

As I am finishing the production of this issue, Rush Limbaugh is defending what he said yesterday that sparked the lead column in today's issue. The topic of today turns out to be whether some of the Republicans have begun an anti-capitalist theme in order to defeat Romney... I don't know what they think they are doing. Are you kidding me? Aren't the Republican candidates supposed to be trying to impress the Tea Party wing of the GOP rather than the Occupy Wall Street wing of the Communist Party?

Well, of course, most of today's columns that I've linked to will help explain why I'm a little ticked off that Republicans are eating their own, and using Progressive talking points to do so.

But yet, I think you might see a correlation between the first of the links on this page to the very last one, because I did. What Ralph Marston wrote in his Daily Motivator was very relevant to every one of the columns listed here today... especially the one about the Sacketts, a story that is about the amount of unconstitutional authority that had been allowed to a federal agency. Now that this story is out, more people will start waking up. As Ralph Marston suggests, "Instead, use this moment to break the pattern."

I could have posted this edition late last night, but I anticipated that many of you were busy watching the football game, because I was. I'm just sayin'...

Rush Limbaugh predicts 2012 outcome
Radio host says pollsters wrong about presidential race
From WND ~ By Joe Kovacs ~ Published Monday, Jan 9, 2012

RUSH LIMBAUGH
PALM BEACH, Fla. – While polls across America show Barack Obama in a tight race for president with potential Republican nominees, top-rated radio host Rush Limbaugh doesn’t think the outcome of the race will even be close.

If the election were today, it would be a landslide loss,” Limbaugh said this afternoon. “Let me define landslide: five to seven points. It’d be big. It would be huge.

Make no mistake about it,” he continued. “Of this I am as confident as anything. I know it’s not reflected anywhere else in the media and it’s not reflected too many other places in conservative media. But I’m telling you, he’s toast. Just as Jimmy Carter was toast, and nobody knew it until election night [in 1980]."    READ MORE

WND Exclusive ~ Supremes: EPA actions ‘outrageous’
Argument comes in dispute over agency threats to Idaho family
From WND ~ By Bob Unruh ~ Posted Monday, Jan 9, 2012

The government’s actions in a dispute between the Environmental Protection Agency and a husband and wife targeted by the agency when they bought a residential lot in Idaho and started building their dream home are both “outrageous” and “very strange.”

There were comments today from justices on the U.S. Supreme Court about the Environmental Protection Agency’s actions in a fight with Mike and Chantell Sackett, of Priest Lake, Idaho.

Mike and Chantell Sackett
Their case began in 2005 when the Sacketts were working on their dream home. Their land, purchased for $23,000, is about two-thirds of an acre and is about 500 feet from the water in Priest Lake, Idaho. Houses are on the surrounding lots and their land lacked standing water or a creek. They obtained all the needed county permits for their work.

But while they were working on foundation preparations, the EPA agents arrived, claimed the property is “wetlands” and ordered them to stop work and launch a full restoration project that even included installing plants that were not native – at their own expense. They were told after they guarded the land for several years they would be allowed to pay $250,000 to request permission to complete their home.

Join the 999 revolution ~ By Herman Cain

'It will not be easy, just as it wasn't easy 235 years ago'
From WND ~ Posted January 8, 2012
HERMAN CAIN
Our nation is plagued with crises. We have an economic crisis, a spending crisis, a big-government crisis, an energy crisis, an immigration crisis, a foggy foreign policy crisis, an assault on the Constitution crisis and a moral crisis.

President Obama blames the Bush administration, the Republicans in Congress, big business, rich people and even the American people by saying in essence that we have lost our optimism. That’s what happens, Mr. President, when we have a leadership crisis in the White House.

Sadly, polls consistently show that President Obama has about a 45 percent job approval rating. These 45 percent must be some of the most clueless people on earth, or they have been living in a cave for the last three years. The other option is that they have drunk so much of the Obama Kool-Aid that they do not want to know the truth.   READ MORE

GOP bad blood ~ By Patrick J. Buchanan
Republican candidates' circular firing squad plays into Dems' script

PATRICK J. BUCHANAN
Moreover, we have been through three years of 23-25 million unemployed or underemployed. Our national debt is now larger than the national economy, approaching Italian proportions. The class warfare rhetoric is beginning to grate. A huge majority believes the nation is on the wrong course.

Who wants four more years of this?

Democratic hopes for 2012 hence hinge on that party’s ability to portray the Republican alternative as unacceptable if not intolerable. And the Republicans have begun to play into that script.  READ MORE

From The Daily Motivator ~ Monday, Jan 9, 2012

If you visualize and expect more disappointment, you’re sure to get it. But you don’t want to do that.
