New Obama czar will hunt 'right-wing' extremists ~ By Leo Hohmann

Americans seen as possibly more threatening than Islamic jihadists

While this information will upset many of us, regarding the targeting of "right-wing extremists" in a new wing of the Justice Department, when I read the entire column, I discovered an even deeper threat!
Whitehead, author of “Battlefield America: The War on the American People,” said he believes the new czar over homegrown violent extremism will work in tandem with the Strong Cities Network announced late last month at the United Nations.

“It’s going to be coordinated somehow with the Strong Cities Network. What you’re going to see is, they’re going to federalize police across the country,” said [John] Whitehead. “They’re already doing it. Ten federal agents have recently moved in to the Oakland Police Department, and they study social media, create algorithms, studying and creating profiles.”
Patriotic citizens who are labeled as "sovereign citizens" are among the groups determined to be extremists! That seems to fit in with what John Whitehead discusses in his book that is mentioned above.

Beware, my fellow Americans, Barack Obama only has a year and a few months left for him to totally transform America. If all that is told about in this column is accurate, those of us that are vocal about the situation would be deemed suspicious and/or enemies of the state. Notorious leaders of the past and present have been very good at getting public opinion to turn against the very people that are trying to protect their freedoms. Just sayin'...

Please note:  While I am still learning the intricacies of using the repubhub method of sharing articles from WND, I may not always get things right at first, as far as formatting, etc.  It's still new for me, but the learning curve will soon be ascending.

New Obama czar will hunt 'right-wing' extremists
Loretta Lynch's Justice Department will place new emphasis on home-grown violent extremism committed by so-called ‘right wing' attackers. Just two weeks after it announced a plan to globalize local police departments through the "Strong Cities Network," the Obama administration has added a new tool in its fight against "violent extremism." A new position within the Justice…

Dissenters To Be Detained As “Enemy Belligerents”?

I happened to come across this story tonight, and decided that it needed to be posted, even though it is a little over a month old. I am wondering if - especially thanks to this blog - I'd be determined to be an "enemy belligerent"? If so, can you imagine all the people like Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck that I could get to meet in the detention camp?
Homeland Security is already implementing technology to be enforced at “security events” which purportedly reads “malintent” on behalf of an individual who passes through a checkpoint. Perhaps the video below explains just how “enemy belligerents” will be identified on American soil.

New bill allows U.S. citizens to be kidnapped and detained without trial indefinitely based on “suspected activity”

By Paul Joseph Watson
Monday, March 8, 2010

Since the establishment media is convinced that tea party members, 9/11 truthers, libertarians, Ron Paul supporters, and basically anyone with a dissenting political opinion is a likely domestic terrorist, they should be celebrating the fact that a new bill would allow the government to detain such people as “enemy belligerents” indefinitely and without trial based on their “suspected activity”.

The “Enemy Belligerent, Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010,” introduced by Senators John McCain and Joseph Lieberman on Thursday with little fanfare, “sets out a comprehensive policy for the detention, interrogation and trial of suspected enemy belligerents who are believed to have engaged in hostilities against the United States by requiring these individuals to be held in military custody, interrogated for their intelligence value and not provided with a Miranda warning,” writes the Atlantic’s Marc Ambinder.

The full bill can be read here (PDF).

The bill does not distinguish between U.S. citizens and non-citizens, and states that “suspected belligerents” who are “considered a “high-value detainee” shall not be provided with a Miranda warning.”

A person is considered a “high value detainee” if they fulfil one of the following criteria.
(1) poses a threat of an attack on civilians or civilian facilities within the U.S. or U.S. facilities abroad; (2) poses a threat to U.S. military personnel or U.S. military facilities; (3) potential intelligence value; (4) is a member of al Qaeda or a terrorist group affiliated with al Qaeda or (5) such other matters as the President considers appropriate.
Now that the Southern Poverty Law Center and the federal government, via the MIAC report and innumerable other leaked documents, now consider virtually anyone with a dissenting opinion against the state as “posing a threat,” millions of peaceful American citizens could be swept up by this frightening dragnet of tyranny.

However, according to the bill, an individual doesn’t even have to pose a threat to be snatched, detained and interrogated – they can merely be deemed to be of “potential intelligence value” or come under the vague and sweeping mandate of “such other matters as the President considers appropriate”.

This last designation hands Obama dictator powers to have any American citizen kidnapped, detained, and interrogated on a whim.

The only proviso that even hints at some form of check or balance is the measure that states, “The High-Value Detainee Interrogation Team must make a preliminary determination whether the detainee is an unprivileged enemy belligerent within 48 hours of taking detainee into custody.”

"The High-Value Detainee Interrogation Team must submit its determination to the Secretary of Defense and the Attorney General after consultation with the Director of National Intelligence, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. The Secretary of Defense and the Attorney General make a final determination and report the determination to the President and the appropriate committees of Congress. In the case of any disagreement between the Secretary of Defense and the Attorney General, the President will make the determination," states the bill.

Talk about glass houses! ~ By Joseph Farah

Joseph Farah writes about the fear mongering of the Southern Poverty Law Center concerning the TEA Parties across America, and how they actually make money doing it. (Hey, they must have learned that scam from Al Gore!)
SPLC finds it alarming that only one-fourth of Americans think the government can be trusted and that more of them see the tea-party movement in favorable terms than they do either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party.

Skepticism about government is as American as apple pie. It's in our genetic makeup. It's what the founders were counting on to keep us free.

You've heard the old expression: "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."

Well, at least one organization has figured out how to throw stones while living in a glass house and parlay it into hundreds of millions of dollars.

It's called the Southern Poverty Law Center.

You probably heard about its latest report: "Rage on the Right – The Year in Hate and Extremism," in which SPLC attacks the tea-party movement for its "extremist ideas," links with "hate groups" and ties to "militias."

Guess what? It turns out there's a fortune to be made by hurling epithets like that.

SPLC made a name for itself by suing the Ku Klux Klan. After taking out this repulsive organization, and making millions in the process, it seems SPLC had to find new bogeymen to keep its crusading leadership in caviar.

The group is still playing the race card – linking anyone to the right of Arlen Specter with racism, extremism, militarism, hate, anti-immigrant vigilantism and, perhaps worst of all on the Morris Dees scale, "so-called patriot groups."

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN)
The latest report singles out heroic conservative Republican Rep. Michelle Bachmann for promoting "anti-government ideas" – yeah, just like Ronald Reagan did.

It also takes on Gun Owners of America Director Larry Pratt for, imagine this, supporting the Second Amendment.

I'm only disappointed I wasn't named along with these fine upstanding Americans. I will have to try much harder to make the enemies list of the SPLC next time.

But it's not like these people don't have wealthy, influential and powerful friends listing to them. More than a few noted the striking similarities between the over-the-top rhetoric of SPLC and that infamous Department of Homeland Security report last year that warned about how pro-lifers and returning veterans represented threats to the republic.

It's not surprising the group seized on the tea-party movement, the most potent grass-roots political uprising in my lifetime. Fear-mongering is what the SPLC is all about – and turning it into a profit center.

Scathing report: Tea partiers just like Timothy McVeigh

The Southern Poverty Law Center has gone way over the top. They have produced a report now, claiming that "the tea-party movement is 'shot through' with radical ideas and tied with 'hate groups,' 'furious anti-immigrant vigilante groups' and 'so-called Patriot groups'." So, of course, I have included the photo above showing the typical horrible right-wing extremist radical hate-monger mob. Just sayin'...
Claims they believe government has secret plans for martial law

A new attack by the Southern Poverty Law Center charges the tea-party movement is "shot through" with radical ideas and tied with "hate groups," "furious anti-immigrant vigilante groups" and "so-called 'Patriot' groups."
The SPLC report, "Rage on the Right, The Year in Hate and Extremism," assails Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., for "plugging" anti-government ideas and Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt for daring to promote Second Amendment gun rights.

The SPLC's Mark Potok warns "so-called 'Patriot' groups – militias and other organizations that see the federal government as part of a plot to impose 'one-world government' on liberty-loving Americans – came roaring back after years out of the limelight."

The report echoes themes in a U.S. Department of Homeland Security report last year that characterized "right-wing extremists" as opponents of abortion and illegal immigration and supporters of gun rights and third-party political candidates.

The SPLC said the "radical right" "caught fire last year."

"The 'tea parties' and similar groups that have sprung up in recent months cannot fairly be considered extremist groups," Potok wrote, "but they are shot through with rich veins of radical ideas, conspiracy theories and racism."

The report cited an NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll that affirmed only one-quarter of the nation thinks government can be trusted and the "anti-tax tea party movement is viewed in much more positive terms than either the Democratic or Republican parties."

"The signs of growing radicalization are everywhere. Armed men have come to Obama speeches bearing signs suggesting that the 'tree of liberty' needs to be 'watered' with 'the blood of tyrants,'" the SPLC report said.

The quote, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants," is from Thomas Jefferson.

The report noted the Conservative Political Action Conference last month was co-sponsored by groups such as the John Birch Society, "which believes President Eisenhower was a Communist agent," and Oath Keepers, "a Patriot outfit formed last year that suggests, in thinly veiled language, that the government has secret plans to declare martial law and intern patriotic Americans in concentration camps."

Stewart Rhodes, founder of Oath Keepers, told WND such accusers try to link activists with terrorists such as Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, because their arguments have no substance.

Cops, deputies warned again about right-wing 'terrorists'

From WorldNetDaily
SPLC alarm: 'Militiamen, white supremacists, anti-Semites, nativists, tax protesters coalescing' Posted: September 25, 2009 ~ 10:10 pm Eastern By Bob Unruh © 2009 WorldNetDaily A private activist organization apparently is picking up where the federal government left off when the Department of Homeland Security issued its "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" warning that returning veterans and people in a long list of other categories were potential terrorists. Only the new warning, delivered recently to police officers, sheriffs and other law enforcement personnel across the country, is lumping those dedicated to the constitutional principles on which the nation was founded together with crazed killers. The fall 2009 "Intelligence Report" was issued recently by the Southern Poverty Law Center, where officials confirmed to WND it was published specifically for and delivered to law enforcement personnel across the nation. The SPLC did not respond to a WND request for other comment. But the article groups members of various organizations such as Oathkeepers – whose mainly military and law enforcement members pledge to uphold their constitutional duties, including the duty to question and refuse what appear to be illegitimate orders – with a man "said to be interested in joining a militia" who is accused of killing two deputies in Florida.
