Border Patrol Agents: Cartels May Have "Rented" Cover From Mexican Military Helicopter in Shooting Incident ~ By Katie Pavlich

"Mexican military are oftentimes working hand in glove with the cartels. The Mexican military has routinely crossed the border in areas that Border Patrol agents are actively tracking or seizing drug loads. Inevitably the Mexican military claim they got lost, that the border was not clearly marked, or in extreme cases fire on agents to cover their retreat," National Border Patrol Council Spokesman Shawn Moran exclusively tells Townhall. "Ajo, AZ Border Patrol agents have had several incidents like this over the years where they have taken shots from the Mexican military. The cartels' resources are nearly limitless and it would not surprise me if they "rented" the cover by the Mexican military helicopter in this incident."

Do you by chance recall the two Border Patrol agents, Igancio Ramos and Jose Campean, who spent two years in federal prison, for the non-fatal shooting of a Mexican drug-runner before finally getting their sentences commuted by then President George W. Bush? I'm sure that the Mexican government will not be treating members of their military the same way, even though they crossed the border into U. S. territory, and fired at two Border Patrol agents in Arizona yesterday morning (June 26, 2014), possibly in support of a Mexican drug cartel operation.

Meanwhile, there is a Marine sergeant by the name of Andrew Tahmooressi, languishing ("rotting," as Gretchen Carlson said in the video below) in a Mexican prison for inadvertently ending up in Mexico, with three legally owned guns in his car.   Our dear leader, President Barack Hussein Obama, hasn't lifted a finger to pressure the Mexican government to release the sergeant, who has now been incarcerated in Mexico for three long months.

You would think that this incident of a Mexican military chopper firing on OUR Border Patrol agents, probably for the purpose of helping a drug cartel, would be enough of a reason for the administration to turn up the burners, and put some heat on Mexico to release Sgt. Tahmooressi, a decorated Marine who has served in Afghanistan and suffers from PTSD. Yeah, you would think... But, this IS the Obama regime we're talking about, and they must be just too busy trying to deal with all of the "phony scandals that the Republicans are manufacturing to gin up the base."  Just saying...

From Townhall.com

On Thursday morning between midnight and 6 a.m. at least one Mexican military helicopter crossed eight miles into the United States and shot at Border Patrol agents with lethal force before returning to Mexican territory. The incident occurred in an area notorious for violent drug cartel activity just west of the Tohono O'odham Indian Nation during a Border Patrol drug interdiction operation. The timing and location of the incident has prompted agents to believe the use of the helicopter by the Mexican military may have been on behalf of drug cartels operating in the area.

Agent accuses Sutton of cover-up in drug murders - By Jerome Corsi

Informant in case handled by prosecutor of Ramos-Compean seeks asylum By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily U.S. Attorney Johnny SuttonA Mexican national's appeal in federal court for asylum because of his work as an American government-paid informant against the drug cartel marked another chapter in a case in which a former Drug Enforcement Agency special agent continues to allege the U.S. government – including U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton – is hiding its complicity in the cartel's murder of more than a dozen people. Guillermo Eduardo Ramirez-Peyro, better known as "Lalo," appeared in federal court earlier this week to fight extradition, arguing his life would be in jeopardy if he were forced to return to Mexico. Lalo, according to Sandy Gonzalez, a former special agent in charge at the DEA office in El Paso, Texas, wore recording devices and taped at least one of the tortures and murders of more than a dozen people between July 2003 and January 2004. The murders allegedly were orchestrated by the Santillan family, headed by Heriberto Santillan-Tabares, a top operative in the Ciudad Juarez drug cartel. Gonzalez told WND he believes Sutton was aware of the "House of Death" murders, prompting a letter in February 2004 to the prosecutor alleging possible criminal violations by U.S. government officials. "Instead of investigating my complaints, Sutton complained about me to the DEA and the Justice Department in Washington," Gonzalez told WND. "My superiors in Washington told me to leave this matter alone and to be quiet." Gonzalez asserts the mainstream media have left unreported the active role of El Paso-based U.S. Attorney Sutton, the Department of Justice, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement [ICE], the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Department of Homeland Security in an ongoing, elaborate cover-up. Gonzalez says that although Santillan was prosecuted under drug and murder charges, Sutton allowed the drug kingpin to plead guilty to the drug charges, with the agreement the murder charges would be dropped. Sutton's office did not respond to repeated requests by WND for comment. The Department of Homeland Security also did not respond. The Drug Enforcement Administration referred WND to the Department of Justice, but the DOJ did not reply. [Continue reading]

A Legacy of Mixed Emotions - by John Kubicek

I'd love to have a chance someday to step into a time machine, and go about 50 years into the future. I would want to be transported into a school library, to check on the one thing that would be the most interesting to find out about: How will history look back at the eight years of the George W. Bush (U. S. President #43) administration?

Congressman urges clemency for agents

'Time is short, Mr. President. Let's right the wrong' By Jerome R. Corsi © 2009 WorldNetDaily Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., today called on U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton to support a commutation in sentence for imprisoned Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. "Mr. Sutton, we are asking you to look into your heart as a prosecutor and advise the president to commute the sentences of Ramos and Compean so they will not spend the next 10 years in solitary confinement," Rohrabacher said. "As Johnny Sutton said in his own words, this punishment is excessive," he continued. "Millions of Americans, members of Congress, Republicans and Democrats have spoken. The time is short, Mr. Sutton. Time is short, Mr. President. Let's right the wrong." [Continue reading]

'Attempted hit' put on Ramos family

'Thank God no one turned on a light! Monica and her 3 boys would be gone!' By Chelsea Schilling © 2009 WorldNetDaily The family of imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos was the victim of an attempted hit on their lives this month, as the agent's wife says someone broke into their home and filled it with gas, trashing photographs and pummeling their dog. Just weeks after Monica Ramos spoke with WND about the difficulty of enduring Christmas without her husband, her family returned from visiting Ignacio in prison on Jan 3. While she was away, burglars stole DVDS, a BB gun and cell phone and slashed her couch with a knife. They even beat her dog and ripped cherished wedding pictures and family photos of their life with Ignacio off the walls, smashing them on the ground. [Continue reading]

Bush on border agents: 'I'm not talking pardons'

By Chelsea Schilling © 2009 WorldNetDaily President Bush has extensively discussed his immigration reform policy in exit interviews and given a $60,000 bonus to a Border Patrol chief who has been criticized for not supporting Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean – but he refuses to talk about whether pardons could be in store for the imprisoned agents. In a Jan. 6 interview with John Gizzi, political editor of Human Events, Bush said he regrets that the comprehensive immigration bill he endorsed did not prevail. "Well, I'm sorry it didn't pass, because I felt strongly that the comprehensive approach to immigration reform was necessary for border enforcement, as well as recognizing that there are people willing to do work Americans won't do," Bush said. "[W]ithout the law, by the way, we did put fence up, and the border is becoming more secure. People are now recognizing the truth that there are fewer crossings, and we've ended the catch and release and issues like that." [Continue reading]

'Take This, Mr. President, For Ramos And Compean,' - By Ilana Mercer

Their names are nowhere on the list of pardons and commutations George W. Bush has issued before saying adieu. They are the brave Border Patrol agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.

I've said it before: Bush would wrestle a crocodile for a criminal alien. Duly, for shooting a drug dealer in the derriere – in the process of defending their country and countrymen – Bush unleashed his bloodhound, U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, on the two patriotic patrolmen. The state's "rules of engagement" rule out any meaningful defense of American lives and property; they are rigged against America's defenders and favor her infiltrators. Sutton's legal strategy is what sickens: This U.S. attorney courted a criminal alien, granting him immunity in exchange for his testimony against the heroic law enforcement officers. As WND has reported, the men "have already served nearly two years in prison – mostly in solitary confinement." Without leniency, they'll remain locked-up for at least a decade longer. Bush springs drug dealers, leaves border agents to rot - By Bob Unruh

December 23, 2008 - President Bush today added a convicted methamphetamine dealer, a cocaine distributor and two marijuana suppliers to the list of drug operators he's pardoned while in office, bringing his total of drug suppliers who have been pardoned or had their sentences commuted to 36. He's also pardoned more than a dozen thieves, seven embezzlers, an arsonist, several mail thieves, a man who violated the Neutrality Act and eight Thanksgiving turkeys, but there's been no clemency for U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who were convicted of shooting at a fleeing drug smuggler. Andy Ramirez of Friends of the Border Patrol, who long has been involved in the Ramos-Compean case, said the questions just start piling up. "First and foremost is the question that has to be asked, 'Why is the president dug in so deep' on Ramos and Compean?" Ramirez said. "Look at how many members of Congress have sent him letters, and have held hearings. "You really have got to start to wonder … does this doper (in the Ramos-Compean case) lead to somebody really big?" he said. [Continue reading]

Should President Bush Pardon Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens?

I think its time that we as a nation put the stupid distractions of steroid use in baseball behind us. I think its time for George Bush to pardon those baseball players who used steroids over the last decade. ~~ treetop23 Shouldn't Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean be pardoned before we even consider athletes who were probably cheating to get to where they are? ~~ Me. read more | digg story, submitted by treetop23

Public Demands Justice for Agents Ramos and Compean

Dr. Laurie Roth was horrified by the decision by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals against Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. "So many of us who had followed this case for the last few years were hoping that once all the evidence had finally been heard, unlike with the first trial, that justice would be done. Wrong!! Justice was not done!!!"
