Weeks after the Obama administration and the rest of the left-wing crackpots declared radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh the Republican party’s “leader,” they’re hard at work demonizing the entertainer, with the White House calling their demonization of Rush “fun.” The declaration of Limbaugh’s trumped-up status as leader of the party has been reported all over the media as if the words spoken by the Messiah’s administration become fact just by their utterance. Now they’re calling for his head and demanding apologies from all Republicans for a comment about their beloved Teddy Kennedy. Ignoring the fact that he’s a radio talk show host, not a politician or leader, why should anyone but Rush himself have to apologize for the comments? That’s nearly as bad as having to listen to eight years of the media calling Ann Coulter—a private opinion columnist—one of Bush’s “top aides.” These people may be conservative, but they’re not politicians. We don’t go around demanding the entire Democratic party apologize for every kooky thing Al Franken or Michael Moore says. But, even putting that aside, why should Rush have to apologize? His comment, for those who haven’t heard, was that before the health care reform bill passes, “it’ll be called the Ted Kennedy memorial health care bill.” But the idea of having the bill named after Kennedy has been all over the place in the Democratic party. Their main complaint is that he joked about Kennedy dying. Kennedy has a brain tumor and the prognosis indicates he probably only has months left to live, especially after suffering another seizure a few months ago.
