Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliff recently reported that there was foreign interference in the 2020 Election, from foreign foes such as Russia, Iran and China.  But, what about election interference from domestic foes of the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump?  The social media giants, Twitter and Fakebook, who were censoring users when it came to stories about Hunter Biden and his dealings with China, just like they are now keeping the Eric Swalwell affair with the Chinese agent, Fang Fang, quiet?  

You should be thinking about what I might be telling you about the election interference from Big Tech and MSM Fake News media.  Oh, wait, it would probably be better for you to hear it right from Dan, starting at about 34:30 (just after the Press House Coffee spot).  Warning:  It may give you nightmares.

Dan is giving you a lot of information, doing all that he can with what he's going through.  PLEASE take advantage of the opportunity to keep learning.  Just an hour a day, usually 5 episodes, and maybe an interview episode, per week.  Watch, learn, and share.  Those are three great practices to turn into a habit.  You can do it.  And you should do it, while we still can!

What Dan Bongino does in this episode is amazing. It was a pep talk, that may be God inspired. Like, it was just for me. I know that is pretty presumptuous of me to say, especially to infer that the Lord was working through Dan, for me. Not me alone, though. For many people like me, I believe, that see the dangers that Dan talks about with the "Cancel Culture," and that "this fight is coming to your door."

What Dan emphasizes is that when the cancel culture, or the left wing, runs out of people to attack, they will go after us, because of the euphoric feeling they get when they think they have power over people.  And when they actually run out of people, and you think you're safe, and you don't speak out.  Then, they go after you, and nobody will be left to speak out for you.  We can't sit this out.

Though I gave you several quick links to go to the specific parts of this episode that explain why this video was speaking to me, both yesterday, and when I watched it again today, be sure to watch the entire episode. 

Sorry for such a short summary today, I didn't have time to write last night after seeing it.  There's a reason for that, but I'm going to have to give you more information about that at a later time.

Drawing a Line in the Sand ~ Ep. 1293 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

In this episode, I address the growing tyranny of face mask mandates. These mandates treat us all as children, incapable of making responsible decisions. I also address the explosion of cancel culture and it’s growing impact on liberals too.

After seeing the great Episode 1293, it took me a little while to get to writing this blog. I got sidetracked a little. In a weird way, I think I am able to segue into this episode by mentioning something I talked about yesterday.  It is all about what American citizens do when the government mandates our shift in behavior, such as banning fireworks, and wearing face bras...umm, I mean, masks, in order to stop the spread of the Wuhan Flu.

Well, for sure, Dan was fired up today, being that Martin County in Southern Florida had voted to mandate the wearing of masks.  There are exceptions to it, but still, I think it was the fact that the County officers perceived their powers to be necessary because we dumb hicks out here just can't figure it out on our own.  It is an attack on our liberty, as I think Dan was saying.  And yes, he's totally right.  I remember when here in Iowa, they decided that business owners weren't free to decide if they would allow cigarette smoking in bars and restaurants, and many other places. I knew it would happen, too, they soon added many other locations, even outside, where smoking wouldn't be allowed.  Those mandates always seem to keep creeping more and more into our freedom.   Once we're on that slippery slope toward tyranny, it's hard to get back up the incline.  Ever notice that?

So, in the case of the Martin County mask mandate, there are ways to fight back, as Dan explains in the first segment of the show.  He can just not wear the mask, and pay the fine.  And, as he says, he can get people to run for those offices in the County government, and create some real headaches for the incumbents, such as being primaried.  Well, here in Iowa, they made it much more difficult to be rebellious against the cigarette bans.  They made it so that the business owner, such as a bar owner or employee, would be the one that would pay the fine if anyone was caught having a cigarette with their beer.  The only other option would be to have outside areas at bars and restaurants where people could drink and smoke; but then, that has a cost, too.

Don't worry, that wasn't all Dan talked about today.  The World Health Organization, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, his brother Chris Cuomo at CNN, and others, did not escape Dan's not-so-mellow scrutiny, which I enjoy seeing.  So, feel free to see this episode all the way through, our skip through it if needed for your time, but watch this one.  And by the way, I've added Bonus Video for you today, from the story about the fireworks (literally) in Los Angeles.  See you all tomorrow!

Patron Detained, Owners Cited at NJ Gym That Defied Coronavirus Shutdown | NBC10 Philadelphia

Remember that awesome video I posted here the other day, about the Bellmawr police officer with the big heart? It seems that it didn't go over too well at the Governor's office, they weren't too pleased.

Bellmawr police issued citations to the owners of Atilis Gym for defying the governor's stay at home order. They also detained a gym member who was working out Tuesday.

I had posted a good, positive story about the way the police handled the Atilis Gym opening in Bellmawr, New Jersey. That sure was a nice, heartwarming story, wasn't it? Well, that was until we found out that shortly after that quaint scene, they let the hounds loose on the people. And I'm sorry, I got sucked in, to make it look like We the People were going to overcome the lockdowns, and let them know that we still expect the government to abide by the Constitution. And that the Blue was going to back us up. Oops. Guess not..

Well, hopefully that will change, for real. I am so sad if yesterday's video was just for show.  We need to know that law enforcement officers will honor their oath to defend our Constitution.  We need them to tell these little totalitarian Governors and mayors of our major cities that they won't do their bidding when it is against the Constitution.

Today, I share this fantastic video that I found via Twitter for @realDonaldTrump, our President of the United States, for a reason.  Actually for many reasons, but there is one that is very important to me, and to all of us.  Our Freedom is at stake.

Just a half of a year ago, we were all getting ready to celebrate the Holidays with our loved ones.  The economy was booming, and very few of us had any worries of losing our jobs.  In fact, many of us even took jobs on the side, because there was so much demand for labor, and the pay was good.  Or we worked overtime.  Shoot, everything was so good, we had a lot to be thankful for.

A short two months later, everything was changed.  We suddenly found ourselves dealing with an invisible enemy, without much knowledge about it, thanks to the World Health Organization, and China not giving us accurate information.  In fact, as we have learned, while China was keeping it's people from traveling through the country, they were allowing international travel by their people, whether infected or not.

Suddenly, our lives were being changed, usually in draconian ways, depending on what State you live in.  And because of the restrictions on our freedoms, large parts of this country became police states.  If you said, "I will not comply," and opened your beauty parlor or tattoo shop, you would be arrested, or fined.  Drastic measures were taken, and the State governments began closing schools, businesses, churches, and canceling all athletic events.

We asked them how long the restrictions would last, and they told us that the duration would be until we "flattened the curve," meaning that the death rates from Coronavirus begin to level off.  They said it was so that hospitals wouldn't be overwhelmed.  But now, many of the government entities, including governors, mayors and county boards, began to try to move the goal posts, and tell us that we must eradicate the Coronavirus before we can go back to work and reopen the economy.

It sure seems like the attack on our freedom, and turning off our economy, IS their goal.  While we hear them saying that "testing" is the answer, maybe what they mean is that they are testing us, to see how much tyranny we'll accept. 

So, think about that.   Those that favor tyranny over us are trying to find out how long they can exert their power over us, before we say ENOUGH!  And no, there won't be some kind of bloody rebellion, like they've told us in the history books about past governments that got out of control.  No, it will be people in the park that go dance with the guy that was dancing alone.  It will be We the People that go ahead and do what we can do.

When I saw this video, I got goose bumps.  I am sure Liberals will say it was a secret signal to us that we should revolt.  For this one time, I can say, they're right, except what they consider a revolt is.  Most likely, they'll only believe that it will be a violent revolt.  That is where they will try to gaslight us, and lie.  No, it won't be violent.  It will only be people that are not afraid to go dance in the park with the others that are doing the same.  If you do, you won't be alone.

Most likely, the local and state governments will arrest and/or fine people, maybe even take away their licenses.  It will sure be fun seeing all of the law suits that will follow! 

So, yes, let's tell the state and local governments that we're done with the lock down, at least by Independence Day, July 4, 2020.  On that day, at the very least, go out and celebrate with neighbors, family, and friends.  Shoot off some fireworks if you can.  (Yes, I live in a city with a Communist mayor here in Eastern Iowa, where they banned fireworks in the city, even though they are legal in the State of Iowa.  Despite that, on the 4th, a lot of fireworks are still going off.)

So, I'm sitting here in my office just after watching Episode 1245, wondering which of the topics that Dan discussed would be fitting for this post.  I really loved the segment on freeing Shelley Luther, the woman that was sent to jail by an activist judge that wanted her to apologize for her "selfish act" of going back to work so that she could feed her kids and pay her rent.  Well, I just got done covering the story of her release from jail Thursday afternoon, and Ted Cruz getting a haircut from her. Just see my Twitter profile feed at @johnny2k.  Multiple stories.  So I'll leave it at that.  However, Shelley's story may set something in motion.  Did you see in my post yesterday, where I found the guy dancing alone in the park video that Dan often mentions? 

Yep, and I think it will be Shelley Luther who was dancing alone, but now more and more people will be joining her, like Jax Myers, and guess what, Demonicrats?  The economy is going to come back, despite the Demonicrats attempt to keep moving the goal post to open things up again.

Yes, now that's my big take away story from this episode.  The Dems are now claiming that we have to do massive testing and tracing before we open the economy back up... with rampant unemployment and all... so that they can then retcon the story that they were way off in the beginning, when they claimed that the flu was much more dangerous than the Wuhan Covid-19 Coronavirus.  Now their narrative is, and will be, President Trump didn't act quickly enough, and before we end up losing many more lives to the horrible virus, let's make sure that we quarantine everyone that could continue to spread the disease.  Oh, and let's also get the vaccine for Covid-19 developed, too, another movement of their goal post.  And they're thinking (well, maybe not, people on the left really aren't capable of actual thinking), "Gosh, if we could just keep the economy down up until the election, and then get sociopath liars out there, such as lying Adam Schiff or Nancy Pelosi, along with our pals in the fake news mainstream media, we can say that it's all Trump's fault." 

But, they keep forgetting one important little fact:  President Donald Trump is by far more intelligent than they are, and he knows how to lead, and he will be depending on WE the PEOPLE to start dancing in the park with those like Shelley Luther and Jax Myers in the country.  He knows us. He knows the American people are not going to allow ourselves to "shelter in place," while we all go bankrupt.  Not going to happen. We will find the safest ways to open the businesses back up.  We will continue to be the free people that know how to solve problems and get through our challenges.

Folks, really, listen to me. Our Freedom IS at stake. Yes, it truly is. Small business is the backbone of our national economy in the United States. Small business owners take the risk that they could fail, but they open their businesses anyway, and do their best. There are always going to be those risks, but in most cases, it could be the economy, or possibly their own mismanagement that delay success, or lead to closure.

But, now this, with the Wuhan Coronavirus Shutdown of the U.S. Economy, it is ACTUALLY state governments that have done it to the small businesses, such as the Apex Tattoo Factory, in Apex, North Carolina, owned by "Jax" Myers and his family. A true ma and pa shop. And yes, it was shut down because of the Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic, and perhaps an over-zealous policy by the State, and law enforcement officials.   So, Jax Myers decides to go and open his doors, perhaps as a protest. Well, no question that it was a protest, but it was also so that he could provide for his family, and pay his bills.  His arrest was video recorded, and a viral story came from it.

I know that this wasn't the only thing that Dan covers in the show today.  Believe me, the rest of it is great, as always, especially the new information regarding the General Mike Flynn case, but I really wanted to focus on the part about the government-mandated closures of the small businesses, because I know of a lot of people that are in a bad position because of it.  Our future and our freedom are at stake.  I'm afraid that we are approaching the tipping point, which is when we get to the edge of the cliff.  If small businesses end, you can say, "Hello, Socialism."  And, then, goodbye Free Enterprise.

I have no answer, other than to keep voicing our opinions.  It is the only option, other than saying, "I will not comply."  You will see and hear what happened to Jax when he went to that option.

Tucker: Totalitarianism doesn't shock us any more ~ Fox News Video

Never in American history have politicians been more powerful than they are now.

Yes, this is extremely shocking! This will "nuke your bagels" as Dan Bongino would say. Tucker has it right, from beginning to end. One of the best segments of his show I've seen yet, and almost unbelievable the Big Brother allowed it to air. I guess that they are just coming after the "trailer park moms" so far, for arranging a playdate for their daughters, as seen here. Or arresting people for religious services, so religion is under attack.  Or drones flying around, and telling us how to live.  Just how long will it be that they allow our Press to be free?

Tucker has it exactly right. We've slid down the slippery slope, pretty much all the way. Is there any way to get back up that slope, and have our freedom back? Does it just take a health emergency to give governors all the power they have ever dreamed of?  What if a President ever comes along that would like that kind of power, and decides to release another serious virus "accidentally on purpose"?  When will the re-indoctrination and internment camps begin?  These are all fair questions that we should be asking.

Thank you, Tucker Carlson, for your courage to do what most in the press won't do, and speaking up.  You are a true patriot!

Nancy Pelosi went on Fox News Sunday and told Chris Wallace that she couldn't understand why people are protesting in the streets. Surely, she couldn't have been serious, right? But she was. That is how out of touch that her and some of the governors are, not understanding that people need to be working, to provide for their families.

Dan also explains to Steve, Ainsley and Brian how China lied in the beginning, and is responsible for many more deaths than there should have been. The Chinese misinformation was malfeasance, and probably caused the deaths of many more people. Meanwhile, China used "identity politics" knowing that is a soft spot in America, and could easily find plenty of folks in the mainstream media that would talk about how xenophobic the President was when he stopped travel to China.

There are these times when I watch the Dan Bongino Show where I am not able to get to writing this blog following the episode I just watched.  Not right away, anyway.  Sometimes, I will let it sit for the night, and then watch it again before I try to write about it.  I then try to pick out the segments that strike me the hardest.  Not as in Dan's baseball bat hitting me, or Kellyanne Conway giving a reporter a big leg sweep (you'll have to watch toward the end of the episode to understand that), but things that I find to be very eye opening.  This was one of those shows that I found to be extremely valuable, in every one of the segments!

Since most of the regular listeners are very up-to-date in regard to the Spygate information, and most of the readers here have probably heard enough about the Wuhan Virus Pandemic to make us all sick, I would like to focus on the part in this episode regarding the protest against Governor Gretchen Witmer (Demonicrat) in Michigan.  She's not just your typical Demonicrat, either, but the kind of tyrant that will probably face major pushback from the public in her next election.  This episode starts with that particular story, and it is extremely important to see.  Dan Bongino nails this so perfectly!  You can't squelch freedom in this country.  The American people, when they have a lot to lose, will protest.  They're not soft, as Dan talks about here. It's about a ten minute segment that you will NOT want to miss!

You've probably seen the cycle of Freedom and Tyranny before. But, just in case you haven't, I found this at Templestream Blog to illustrate the point:

In the very year that the US became a sovereign country, 1776, a European historian named Alexander Fraser Tytler published "The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic." This book outlined the following:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising them the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over a loss of fiscal responsibility, always followed by a dictatorship. The average of the world's great civilizations before they decline has been 200 years. These nations have progressed in this sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith,

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that we are facing the final phase of the cycle. It really isn't hard to see. You barely have to be paying any attention to see where we are heading. For this reason, I bring you this story that Jan Morgan posted. And what the historian Alexander Fraser Tytler published, "The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic," does not have to be our future. Just sayin'...

I was pretty sure that by now, I'd be a martyr. Not that I intended to be, but I figured that a few of the WIFLI Briefings that I've published this year would get me on some kind of enemies list that the current

America needs to be aware that he is a Socialist and a Globalist, and we really haven't yet seen how far he would go to stay in power. That is what should scare us. That is what should tell you why I'm not afraid to post what I have so far.

Honestly? I have to warn you, do not attempt this at home. It can be pretty darn disconcerting when we realize that our opponents have the financial and political power to silence us at any time... Well, US, as in the citizen journalists writing in favor of We the People and freedom. If any of us hit the wrong nerve, believe me, we could be snuffed out at a moment's notice. That's reality talking there, not sheer paranoia.

It was once I knew what the stakes were that I became a little nervous. If perhaps Barack Hussein Obama has his sites set on leading a global government, who knows what will be done to stop me, or anyone else, from informing the public. Who really knows WHAT could be done to anyone that is in the way of Obama's objectives.

No, I'm afraid that I'll not fear what needs to be said. Fear is not an emotion that I want to ever bow down to if I am going to help wake up some more patriots.

The concept of fear has to be overcome, and the only way to do so is to band together as We the People.

This is far from a new phenomenon - the use of "socialist" as a political epithet in the U.S. dates back to pre-Civil War days when abolitionist newspaper editor Horace Greeley was branded a socialist by some pro-slavery adversaries. In the 20th century, many elements of Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal - including Social Security - were denounced as socialist. So was Medicare when it was created in the 1960s.

But to many historians and political scientists - and to actual socialists as well - the persistent claim that Obama is a socialist lacks credence.

Dear Cain supporters: Stay tuned ~ By Herman Cain

Cain supporters, stay tuned. We're still going to get the job done. We're going to have to do it from the outside, and I will lead the way and be the people's voice.

I'm having a hard time accepting the "don't despair" message. We may no longer have a candidate in the GOP race for the nomination that can beat Barrack Hussein Obama.

It was in horror that I watched Herman Cain's GOP nomination campaign implode, through no fault of his own. There seems to be no candidate with a truly Conservative philosophy remaining in the field that would have a chance to win the election in 2012. We seem to be left with little or no choice in good Conservative candidates that have at least a chance to win the GOP nomination.

I was heartbroken when seeing the following segment on Hannity last Thursday:

We are going to need to hear Herman Cain's voice during this time of trepidation. With the primary season starting in less than three weeks with the Iowa Caucus on January 3, 2012, it appears that the Republican Party is not going to give us a strong Conservative that could beat Obama. The closest conservative candidate that we may have in the top tier at this time could be... gulp... Ron Paul.

In a blog posted several days ago, I wrote:

So, now what?

Do we just watch the Republican Party split and implode?

Is the Tea Party really dead like the Mainstream Media, and even Fox News, is telling us?

If there was any time that we need the Tea Party Movement to be revived, it is now. I believe that most of the Tea Party Movement still stands behind Herman Cain.   He can still be our voice, along with others.

However, if Barack Obama is going to go down in defeat next November, I'm thinking that we need more than just a voice.  We need a Conservative leader, somebody that would be able to unite and energize the Conservatives in the GOP.  Or, maybe, it won't be a Republican, but rather a third party candidate.  Unfortunately, as we've seen in the past, third party candidates have always assured the Democrats of a victory.

I am not sure if a voice from the outside, not even Herman Cain, will be all we need. It won't be enough, unless We the People get together to fight for our liberty. It is going to take all of us that are concerned about our children's and grand children's freedom, and that are aware that we are dangerously close to losing it. It will be our responsibility to join people like Herman Cain in the effort to inform and persuade as many people as possible before it is too late.

As to this coming election in 2012, the major effort still needs to be focused on defeating Obama. That could possibly mean nominating a squishy RINO Republican candidate. Whatever it takes, right? If that is the outcome, what Herman Cain has suggested in this column will become even more significant, as you will read. We the People need to be able to put the pressure on whoever wins the White House and Congress!

The Tea Party Movement needs to be revived. If that is going to happen, we need to do it NOW.   We the People need to lose the doom, gloom, and despair, and start working together for positive solutions.  I'm just sayin'...

Since my campaign ended, I've been honored to hear from so many people who asked me to continue because they felt I was the person who could help this country fix things that urgently needed fixing. I will continue to lead but not as a candidate, because I chose to put family first.

I will continue to be your voice and our voice. We will make 9-9-9 a movement. We will put "strength" back into "Peace through Strength and Clarity." We will become energy independent. We will put "united" back into the United States of America.

I know this from you: When the people understand it, they will demand it!

We can't count on the mainstream media to properly inform us, because too many members of the media are chasing the sensationalized or distorted story. Many members of Congress are so busy trying to keep up with the legislative process, small incremental changes in the laws and the partisan cat fights that the big changes needed never get addressed. Worse yet, they never even try.

We have seen repeatedly that expecting 535 members of Congress and the president to make bold changes to truly fix problems from the inside of Washington is not going to happen. Washington is broken! We must change it from the outside.

The late Sen. Everett Dirksen popularized the phrase, "When they feel the heat, they will see the light." We will be the heat like they have never felt it before. Politicians' actions are ultimately determined by what they believe the people are demanding of them. We will demand bold changes.

So you say you want a revolution? ~ By Patrice Lewis

We need look no further than our own history to find an example of constitutional government. Riddled with mistakes as it was, our nation leaped ahead 5,000 years in terms of technology, medicine, manufacturing, standard of living and other benefits – all due to the unique freedom from governmental interference our founders laid out. "By 1976," notes author W. Cleon Skousen, "the 'noble experiment' of American independence and free-enterprise economics had produced some phenomenal results … [it] allowed science to thrive in an explosion of inventions and technical discoveries …" Communication was revolutionized, the average life span was doubled and our standard of living was exponentially enhanced.

But this isn't good enough for the progressives. They want to make over our nation in their own image. They desire power instead of freedom. They prefer to be slave masters of a bankrupt state over being part of a free society.

So let's give them what they want.

Let's leap ahead and pretend that our nation has already divided. Most of the people reading this column will chose to live in the CSA. But what about those who chose to live in the PSA?

When the dust of producing a new country has settled and the hoopla has died down, the citizens of the PSA may eventually recognize what we've been trying to tell them all along: They've been able to get away with all their whining about entitlements and fake "rights" for as long as they have because they've been riding on the backs of those who supported our original Constitution. When that document is thrown out, everyone will want to get on the government dole. To paraphrase Margaret Thatcher, their socialism will work just fine until they run out of other peoples' money.

Then, and only then, might they realize how good they had it before screwing it up. And then we'll get to say, "I told you so."

There was a column that Patrice wrote last September which I have not quit thinking about, and which this column expounds on. Patrice wrote the following in "A House Divided":

We will never agree.

When it comes to progressives versus conservatives, there is no middle ground to agree upon. In other words, my liberal reader holds opinions so far in contrast to mine, and vice versa, that we will always differ on everything of political significance.

Here's the thing I worry about. Let's say that somehow, America divided as Patrice suggests. We're here in the CSA (Conservative States of America). A bloody civil war or revolution is avoided. So... Are we going to be unified? Would there not be disagreement on any issue? Assuming we have a Constitution similar to what the Founding Fathers came up with, there would still be free elections. Well, guess what? Would there not still be dissent? How about differences between the candidates to represent us? In my humble opinion, we would still have division, even in the Conservative States of America.

Well, if we are going to consider all of the options, we need to keep our options open. Patrice gave us the two options of revolution or dividing our country. But I believe there is a third option that needs to be added to what we need to explore.

The third option that I would want on the table is to avoid civil war or revolution. It will also avoid dividing the country as Patrice suggests. Unfortunately, there is a slight obstacle: It may take generations in order to reverse the direction this country has taken.

I know, that is a great challenge! And, hopefully, it isn't too late! It has been a long process for progressives to get America to where we are now. Education and the media had to fall under their control. Conservatives would have to reverse-engineer the process and methods that the Progressives have used over the last century.

Is this option possible? Yes, absolutely! It can be done! But, it will take effort, and a few of us may have to make sacrifices to get the word out, especially those of us that live in progressive territories (blue states). The time is NOW to make sure that we can offer some hope. The time is NOW to make sure that enough people are armed with the information that can be passed on to our future generations!

Allow me a moment to step out of the box, please. I really didn't want to tell you this, but I guess I should. In the past few months, I've seen my blog stats "slump a bit" (there's a major understatement for you!). The month of July was a total bust. It was giving me heartburn. I took some time off in order to get away for a few days and sort things out. I was giving great consideration to the thought of finding something else to do, like spending the rest of my life playing "Angry Birds."

Why? I was becoming an "angry bird." My frustration was overwhelming. I wondered if there was a reason to persist. I began thinking that it was time to call off the relentless pursuit of uninterrupted freedom. Apparently, it was easy for me to ignore the fact that there could be that one person that read what I had to say, that would possess the ability and the passion to fire up a lot of other people; no gunpowder needed. Giving up was not an option. That would eliminate the third option that I suggested above.

Patrice may be right that dividing the country into two separate entities would be a better solution than a revolution. But, as I remember it, there was a civil war the last time the United States divided. Or, here's another thought; think: North Korea and South Korea. How's that working out? I'm just sayin'...

Consider these recent news headlines:

• Republican and Democratic leaders are floating the idea of a new "Super Congress" not authorized in the Constitution

• A legislative proposal in San Francisco seeks to make ex-cons and felons a protected class, along with existing categories of residents like African-Americans, people with disabilities and pregnant women.

• The Ohio appellate court handed down a critical Second Amendment-bending decision over the weekend in which a minor offense can eliminate one's right to bear arms.

• In the latest chapter of the gunrunning scandal known as Operation Fast and Furious, federal officials won't say how two suspects obtained more than 360 weapons despite criminal records that should have prevented them from buying even one gun.

Shall I go on? I located these headlines in about 30 seconds. I can list more if you like.

As these articles abundantly illustrate, our elected officials have abandoned all pretense of adhering to the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They don't even bother pretending anymore. In fact, their attitude is mockery and downright hostility whenever it is suggested that the government should limit itself to the small, streamlined entity it was meant to be.

Today, anyone who suggests our government is out of control is labeled a right-wing extremist or even a domestic terrorist. Yet all the constitutionalists and tea partiers want to do is return our nation to the governmental restraints outlined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We do not want a theocracy. We do not want an oligarchy. Is this too much to ask?

Sadly, yes. The progressives and the constitutionalists have no middle ground anymore. Listening to the arguments on both the left and the right provides abundant evidence that our nation as it currently exists is not salvageable. Freedom and slavery can never reach an accord.

I mean that in all seriousness. America as it was meant to be cannot be brought back on track. There are too many powerful people – virtually the entire government, mainstream media and populations of large urban areas – who are too addicted to spending, to entitlements, to control and to manufactured "rights." It's too late.

In an earlier column, I wrote that We the People are actually living in an occupied nation; the occupier – the enemy – is our own government. But progressives don't see the problem. That is, they don't see that an ever-growing governmental body is a bad thing – and they'd like to see more of it. They want our wealth redistributed. They want unconstitutional entitlements such as health care. They want the debt ceiling raised. They want everything they can lay their hands on when it comes to their agenda, and the Constitution be damned.

"The federal government is an out-of-control beast, no longer a body of representatives of the people but rather a house of aristocracy whose members do nothing unless it's for the good of their house," wrote a reader. "We the People have become nothing more than wage slaves to the gluttonous bloated entity our government has become. Nothing short of a military coup d'etat is capable of restoring our country back to the people, back to what was intended by the Founders."

I'm holding back the progression of mankind! ~ By Patrice Lewis

The depressing part is socialism spreads because people like their freebies. They like being dependent. They will passionately vote for the candidate, party and agenda that keeps those freebies flowing. If anyone objects, they are called racist, intolerant and – oh yeah – "holding back the progression of mankind."

Free people are responsible people. They have to be. And the more responsible the people, the fewer laws are needed. But when we stop acting responsibly and start relying on the government for everything, we become a nation of whining victims where nothing is ever our fault and the government assumes the responsibility that should have been ours.

Government interference and the enthusiastic redistribution of wealth will bring this nation to its knees. And it's hard to progress anywhere when you're crawling on your knees.

But socialists will never agree. They simply do not grasp that the advancement of 5,000 years will never PROgress under their form of government. Instead, it will REgress.

So to those who honestly think that socialism results in the progression of mankind, I offer the best intellectual reply I can muster:

Bwahahahahahahaha.

I was a college grad, in the Air Force, and trying to decide how to spend the rest of my life and career after I finished my 4 year commitment (which I extended for another 8 months). And then, in 1980, along came Ronald Reagan, who inspired me to understand why freedom is so important. I began to comprehend why America was the shining city on the hill. The United States was the beacon of freedom, where we had the opportunity to use our God given abilities to get ahead. Well, that was how I thought it was supposed to be. At the same time, I actually started learning about free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and capitalism, and in the same year, I joined Amway.

In the attempt to succeed at Amway, I learned about commitment. I found out that a lot of commitment was needed to succeed, no matter what vehicle you were going to use. I did all that I could to "share the plan by drawing the circles" to as many people as possible! In the process, I learned about failure despite our best efforts. Was it because I wasn't competent enough to teach people how to do the business? No. Was it because I just didn't have the charisma to lead an organization or to inspire people to do what it takes? Maybe.

But, before I explain what I think led to my failure in "the business," I need to assure you that I am not blaming anyone but myself. I'm only telling you about that experience because it fits perfectly with what Patrice explains in this column.

You see, my belief was in the American entrepreneurial spirit, and the precept that everyone has a dream, and if offered an opportunity, would do what ever it took. That was how I was raised. When I was a kid, if I wanted something bad enough, I'd mow a lawn. I did whatever it took. I had the impression that everybody knew that! So, I did my best to try to recruit (sponsor) people that didn't seem to have a way to get ahead. I knew that a lack of education or social status didn't mean that it was impossible to change our financial status if we wanted to bad enough. I believed that there were many people that just needed something that they could do (and I knew how "easy" Amway actually was!), and I was more than willing to help and teach and love them despite their current position in life, despite financial status, skin color or religion.

But when I learned how many people were thinking, it shattered my faith in the American spirit. It was disturbing how many people had lost their dream, and were "dead from the neck up." This was when I found out that if somebody was able to collect on some government entitlements, they weren't willing to even consider committing any effort toward bettering their lives. I found that their dreams were either never there, or had already been extinguished.

So, when you read this terrific column by Patrice, would you please keep in mind that if it was that way over 30 years ago, just how "progressive" are things now? Has "class envy" replaced the work ethic? Yes. And yes, it is really sad that somebody even tried to explain to Patrice why she is "holding back the progression of mankind."

So, how are we supposed to turn around a general societal attitude like that? Maybe there just needs to be a lot more Amway distributors out there, teaching a few people - or even ONE! - at a time about the differences between capitalism and socialism, and that we have to eventually choose between freedom or slavery. And that the truth is, freedom or slavery IS a choice! Nobody (yet) is holding a gun to anyone's head to make that choice. It's just about attitude and hanging out with people that will give you a hand up, rather than a hand out. I'm just sayin'...

I got the funniest email this week. It seems someone found an older column of mine entitled "What is a socialist?" (I'll pause if you care to read it.) Then he sent the following: 

You're [sic] excerpt on socialism … is disgusting. Way to bend every little fact you can find to your bias. All you're doing is holding back the progression of mankind.

The sad part is the sender apparently believes what he wrote. Putting aside the amusing presumption that a north Idaho housewife is somehow responsible for arresting the development of the civilized world, I laughed heartily at his last statement.

If an aversion to socialism is holding back the progression of mankind, the corollary is that socialism will advance the progression of mankind. If this is the case, we need only to look at socialist countries, past and present, to gauge the success of how mankind is progressing under that form of government.

Let's see, there's the (former) USSR. North Korea. Venezuela. Cuba. Charming places, all of them. I can hardly wait to arrange my next vacation.

Then there are the (cough) "successful" socialist countries in Europe, which are slowly imploding because (to paraphrase Margaret Thatcher) they finally ran out of other peoples' money.

The usual progressive argument is, "Well, this time it will be different." Um, no. It can never be different because human nature never changes. Those in power will always wish to grow stronger and more in control. Those without power will, sooner or later, lose all incentive and motivation if the fruits of their labor are routinely taken from them. And those who are dependent on government entitlements will do everything they can to stay dependent, and demand more.

Ah, entitlements. That is the crux of the whole ugly scenario. Entitlements, as any sane person knows, means forcibly removing and redistributing personal wealth at the point of a gun. Far too many progressives are delighted to remove other peoples' money and pass it around. They cannot and will not admit that redistribution of wealth is a lose-lose scenario. The earner loses incentive to work harder because it only means more of his money is taken; and the receiver loses the incentive to earn his own because he is supplied with free money. Pretty obvious, right?

Spies: National security or silencing the opposition? ~ By Victoria Jackson

A government spying on its citizens is a good thing, if it's for national security. If the spying is to silence the opposition, it is communism.

THERE'S A COMMUNIST IN THE WHITE HOUSE!

Whether I'm being spied on or not, I shouldn't feel this way about my government.

When people fear the government there is tyranny; when the government fears the people there is liberty. Therefore, I will keep my bumper stickers and keep my voice loud. Obama should fear me. I can fire him!

There really IS a good reason why I am including Victoria's latest column in this blog today. I have few things to say about what Victoria is telling us.

Victoria explains why there is a need for us stay vigilant and vocal. I don't mean vocal as in the way the Wisconsin teachers were so uncivil by screaming obscenities at their legislators or sending them death threats (you know, the state senators that didn't run to Illinois). Being vocal doesn't have to mean we have to shout down people and disturb the peace and keep people from doing their jobs.

Screaming at people doesn't accomplish anything. I just mean that being "vocal" can include educating our friends and neighbors, or it can mean having a bumper-sticker on our car, or it could be writing a blog. It could also include going to tea-party rallies or town hall meetings or calling your Congressman (just don't do what Vicki will tell you about in the video below!). Heck, you could even just buy one of the "We the People are the MOB" shirts like I advertise at the bottom of the page (Don't be afraid, you are not alone)!

If we stay silent, that is when the government will no longer fear us. That is when people running for office know that we are silent because we are complacent, or we just no longer care what they do (like ObamaCare). Only, when they didn't listen to our CIVIL demands that they should not pass ObamaCare, they have learned their lesson now. Many of those that voted for ObamaCare are no longer Representatives or Senators. So, do you think they hear us now? You would hope so!

Now, here's the deal with Victoria's weird experience that she tells you about in her essay this week. There may be times that when we are "vocal," we will be attacked in some way. Not physically assaulted, but possibly anything from being blacklisted in our careers (in Hollyweird), to having protesters in our front yards. Or, it could be something a lot less threatening, but possibly insidious enough to be concerned (Victoria's experience). Maybe it will just be a twitter troll that tweets lies and demeaning comments about you, like what happened to me this week when I re-tweeted one of Herman Cain's tweets.

The point is, if people like Victoria Jackson, Joseph Farah, Glenn Beck, Phil Elmore, Erik Rush, or me and others that have been vocal, start disappearing... it might be the time when we fear the government, and we'll have to do something more than being vocal and civil. We'll keep being vocal and civil, without fear, in the hope that it will never come to that.

Spies: National security or silencing the opposition?

I think I'm being spied on.

It all started over a year ago. But this was the latest strangeness.

Last week, I was walking to my car, leaving my grandchild's home. The neighbors were watering their lawn. They shouted from across the street, "Someone's been driving by your house taking pictures."

V [Victoria]: What?

N [Neighbors]: Someone's been taking pictures of your house. They came by four times.

V: Four times? Since I got here, or before that?

N: Since you've been there. Is your house for sale?

V: No.

N: They weren't taking pictures of any other houses on the block, just yours.

V: What did the car look like?

N: It was a dark SUV, kind of beat up, with tinted windows. A man …

V: What did he look like?

N: Middle-aged.

V: Was he using a cell phone or a camera with a long lens?

N: It was a camera. He was holding both of his arms up like this.

V: Maybe it's my political activism. The bumper stickers. I've been telling people the president is a communist.

N: You shouldn't do that.

V: Why?

N: Those people are out to take over the world and you might end up missing.

V: Well … that's the point. If the people fear the government, it's tyranny. If the government fears the people, it's liberty.

N: I'm just saying. We didn't vote for him (Obama), but … we know the Clintons from when we lived in Arkansas.

V: ?

N: See that? (pointing to a burn spot on their lawn). That's where his car was, burned my grass.

V: Did you get his license number?

N: No, should have. I will if he comes back.

V: Maybe it's the tabloids trying to catch me committing adultery or something ...

Way back in 2009, as a beginner political activist, I called Nancy Pelosi's office to voice a concern. (I tell the story on video here:)



Also in 2009, I was speaking at a Westwood tea party in the heart of liberal LaLa land. As the crowd dispersed, a "married" couple asked me to pose for a picture with them and then they didn't leave. When my friends and I went to dinner, we felt obligated to include them. They were in the military. I said, "Oh, I love the military! Thanks for your service!" I asked them which part of the military they were in and he answered, "Intel."

I said, "What's that?"

"Intelligence."

"Oh! You're a spy! You're spying on me!"

They laughed way too hard and didn't deny it. Mysteriously, they shared all my interests. They were bicoastal, Florida, California. They loved screenwriting, acting and painting. He was a pilot like my husband. Whatever I was interested in, so were they! They pursued a friendship with my husband and me for over a year. They always called us. We never called them. They were sweet, but I always left our long lunches with a strange feeling in my gut. One time they invited themselves to my home in Los Angeles to "show me one of Bob's paintings that was in the trunk of his car!"

When they finally left, hours later, Paul said he thought they were strange, but not spies, just awestruck fans. I said, "I've been around SNL fans my whole life. They do not act like that." Paul said, "His art is weird. But all you artists are weird."

When we moved back to Florida permanently, so did they! What a coincidence! They were even looking for houses in our neighborhood! Their car was a huge, black minivan with tinted windows and a circular, radar thing on the top. I pointed it out and they laughed, "We're spies! Ha! Ha!" Another four-hour lunch where I learned nothing about them brought "Bob" to a long, conservative rant where he said to me, "… so you tell Glenn Beck that, the next time you see him." I did a double take. I looked into his eyes as if to say, is that what you're after? Glenn Beck info? I had a bumper sticker with Beck on it, and I wrote a fan letter to him on Big Hollywood. I replied truthfully, "I don't know Glenn Beck personally."
