Fireworks at the White House ~ Ep. 1231 ~ The Dan Bongino Show®

From the Dan Bongino Show's description of this episode on youtube.com/Bongino or in his Show Notes:
In this episode, I address the fireworks on the White House grounds between Kellyanne Conway and CBS reporter Paula Reid. I also address the explosive new information, recently declassified, which destroys the entire Spygate narrative. Finally, I address the government spending problems going forward, and how to address them.
There are these times when I watch the Dan Bongino Show where I am not able to get to writing this blog following the episode I just watched.  Not right away, anyway.  Sometimes, I will let it sit for the night, and then watch it again before I try to write about it.  I then try to pick out the segments that strike me the hardest.  Not as in Dan's baseball bat hitting me, or Kellyanne Conway giving a reporter a big leg sweep (you'll have to watch toward the end of the episode to understand that), but things that I find to be very eye opening.  This was one of those shows that I found to be extremely valuable, in every one of the segments!

Since most of the regular listeners are very up-to-date in regard to the Spygate information, and most of the readers here have probably heard enough about the Wuhan Virus Pandemic to make us all sick, I would like to focus on the part in this episode regarding the protest against Governor Gretchen Witmer (Demonicrat) in Michigan.  She's not just your typical Demonicrat, either, but the kind of tyrant that will probably face major pushback from the public in her next election.  This episode starts with that particular story, and it is extremely important to see.  Dan Bongino nails this so perfectly!  You can't squelch freedom in this country.  The American people, when they have a lot to lose, will protest.  They're not soft, as Dan talks about here. It's about a ten minute segment that you will NOT want to miss!

Ponzi! Ponzi! Ponzi! ~ By John Stossel

In this column, John Stossel starts out with the statement, "People need to hear it." The latest smack-down on the Social Security program is not meant to "scare the old people," but it sure could sway the way people vote in 2012.

The truth may be too severe to have to hear right now, but it is important for people to know it. The Payroll Tax, where employers not only withhold a portion of your paycheck for Social Security (FICA) and Medicare, they must also match that amount of your "contributions" in their payment to the U.S. Treasury, Yes, it's a tax, and as you'll learn in this column by John Stossel, it is not truly a retirement account, nor is it guaranteed for the fact that the plan can be changed at the whim of Congress.

Ponzi! Ponzi! Ponzi! There, I said it. To the extent people believe there are trust funds with their names on them, Social Security is absolutely a Ponzi scheme. So is Medicare. People need to hear it.

Many people think that when the government takes payroll tax from their paychecks, it goes to something like a savings account. Seniors who collect Social Security think they're just getting back money that they put into their "account." Or they think it's like an insurance policy – you win if you live long enough to get more than you paid in. Neither is true. Nothing is invested. The money taken from you was spent by government that year. Right away. There's no trust fund. The plan is unsustainable. Medicare is worse.

Mitt Romney and other Republicans who scoff at Rick Perry shamelessly pander to older voters. They should tell people the truth.

Still, I'm not convinced Perry has more than a sound bite. In his USA Today op-ed this week, the most he says is, "We must consider reforms to make Social Security financially viable." He doesn't say what kind of reforms.

Washington's history of lies ~ By Walter E. Williams

From WorldNetDaily
Walter E. WilliamsBy Walter E. Williams Posted: September 02, 2009 ~ 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 President Obama and congressional supporters estimate that his health-care plan will cost between $50 and $65 billion a year. Such cost estimates are lies whether they come from a Democratic president and Congress, or a Republican president and Congress. You say, "Williams, you don't show much trust in the White House and Congress." Let's check out their past dishonesty. At its start, in 1966, Medicare cost $3 billion. The House Ways and Means Committee, along with President Johnson, estimated that Medicare would cost an inflation-adjusted $12 billion by 1990. In 1990, Medicare topped $107 billion. That's nine times Congress' prediction. Today's Medicare tab comes to $420 billion with no signs of leveling off. How much confidence can we have in any cost estimates by the White House or Congress? Another part of the Medicare lie is found in Section 1801 of the 1965 Medicare Act that reads: "Nothing in this title shall be construed to authorize any federal officer or employee to exercise any supervision or control over the practice of medicine, or the manner in which medical services are provided, or over the selection, tenure, or compensation of any officer, or employee, or any institution, agency or person providing health care services." Ask your doctor or hospital whether this is true. [CLICK HERE TO READ ENTIRE COLUMN]
