A few days ago, I mentioned Agenda 21 to somebody, and was told, "Well, yes, I've heard of that, but I really don't know what it is."  Not long after, I came across this column.  That's one of those coincidences that make you say, "Hmmmm." 

The time is right for me to bring this story back up.  It has been nearly five years now since this was published, and yet, despite Tom DeWeese's effort to help us to make this information widely available, well... Guess what?  People are still unaware.  I'm afraid that we could say that most people are clueless, really.  That gives me a very uneasy feeling, especially considering the quote above that I pulled from this story.  Really, believe me, "they" do NOT want you to know the roots of Agenda 21, let alone, the intended goals.

I emphasized "they" above for one simple reason:  To know WHO is to know WHY!  The good news is that I've kept my archive of posts open to the public for years.  There are so many posts on this blog where Agenda 21 has been discussed, you would learn a lot from those related posts.  In this column, Tom DeWeese provides you with many of the key words that can assist you in learning more just by doing a Google search.  But even before you get to doing that, check out what I've included over the years.  You can do a search on the label Agenda 21, but I found a treasure of information by searching this blog for Agenda 21. 

Be assured that whatever happens in November 2016 will either be influenced by those that want to continue with their desire to globalize their authority, or by those of us that want to keep our national sovereignty and our FREEDOM.  Just remember that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!  My work is done here.  Just sayin'...

Awareness of Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development is racing across the nation as citizens in community after community are learning what their city planners are actually up to. As awareness grows, I am receiving more and more calls for tools to help activists fight back. Many complain that elected officials just won't read detailed reports or watch long videos. "Can you give us something that is quick, and easy to read that we can hand out," I'm asked.

So here it is. A one page, quick description of Agenda 21 that fits on one page. I've also included for the back side of your hand out a list of quotes for the perpetrators of Agenda 21 that should back up my brief descriptions.

A word of caution, use this as a started kit, but do not allow it to be your only knowledge of this very complex subject. To kill it you have to know the facts. Research, know your details; discover the NGO players in your community; identify who is victimized by the policies and recruit them to your fight; and then kill Agenda 21. That's how it must be done. The information below is only your first step. Happy hunting.

What is Sustainable Development?

According to its authors, the objective of sustainable development is to integrate economic, social and environmental policies in order to achieve reduced consumption, social equity, and the preservation and restoration of biodiversity. Sustainablists insist that every societal decision be based on environmental impact, focusing on three components; global land use, global education, and global population control and reduction.

Social Equity (Social Justice)

Social justice is described as the right and opportunity of all people “to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment.” Redistribution of wealth. Private property is a social injustice since not everyone can build wealth from it. National sovereignty is a social injustice. Universal health care is a social justice. All part of Agenda 21 policy.

And there’s an even bigger story of scandal and corruption still beneath this show of force by the BLM, orchestrated by Harry Reid.

On Jan. 20, 2013, WND warned Chinese government-backed economists were proposing a plan to allow Chinese corporations to set up “development zones” in the United States as part of a plan proposed by the Chinese government to convert into equity the more than $1 trillion in U.S. Treasury debt owned by the Chinese government.

The next day, Jan. 21, 2013, WND documented the Obama administration had begun to allow China to acquire major ownership interests in oil and natural gas resources across the USA.

While watching the Cliven Bundy ranch story unfold, the latest chapter ends up being about Senator Harry Reid. Until I heard what he said about the Bundy supporters being "domestic terrorists" and that Bundy didn't pay his taxes, both patently false accusations, Reid really wasn't a part of the story in a big way... up until that story about Reid's vicious lies surfaced. Even the part regarding a Reid crony being the head of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) didn't make too many heads turn. That was until now, and here we find out about it in a column written by Joseph Farah almost a week ago! And folks, this is something you wouldn't have heard about in the MSM,  Fox News included! Though, I still have to give Fox News and Eric Bolling some credit for leading me to this story!

In the video below, I asked, "Is it about radical environmentalism?" I was pretty sure that was the major reason for the BLM stepping up their attempt to evict the cattle from the grazing lands that the Bundy family ranch had used for several generations, just so that no poor little desert tortoises would get hurt. However, when I was searching for a related story that had to do with sustainable development, Agenda 21, and the Bureau of Land Management, I came across this story. Yes, extreme environmentalism has something to do with the Bundy Ranch story, but it turns out that the radical environmentalist is only a smoke and mirrors scheme to cover for outright crony capitalism.

It seems the Senate majority leader has been doing favors for a Chinese energy giant ENN, which has plans to build massive solar facilities in that area – tortoises or no tortoises.

This is what happens when we dig further into stories. We would have missed this profound revelation had I been complacent enough to just scratch the surface. Yet, the funny thing about this story is that there is probably a lot more to it that we may never become aware of.  We must, and we will, keep digging, but don't be surprised if the hole ends up in China. That could be awkward.  Just sayin'....

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy performed a remarkable public service for America over the last couple weeks.

He exposed the utter ruthlessness, brutishness and Gestapo tactics of the federal government in dealing with honest, hard-working Americans who live off the land – our land.

Claiming Bundy’s cattle ranching operation was endangering desert tortoises, the Bureau of Land Management treated him like he was Ted Bundy. I take that back. The serial rapist, mass murderer and necrophile got due process.

When Cliven Bundy’s neighbors turned out to support him, as good American neighbors should, the BLM sent in helicopters, four-wheel-drive vehicles and an estimated 200 armed officers to deal with the cowboy and his family, threatening another Ruby Ridge or Waco-style slaughter.

But I don’t think it was about tortoises. No, sir. In fact, with all the gear and manpower the BLM brought to Clark County to round up the cowboy and his cattle, they did more environmental damage to the area than Cliven Bundy ever could have dreamed of doing.

This was about something else.

It’s always about something else.

Maybe – just maybe – it had to do with another Nevadan by the name of Harry Reid.

VIDEO: What happens when We the People rise up?

Of all the videos posted at johnny2k's America Facebook page, there has never been one that has had such an amazingly huge response. After I heard Dennis Michael Lynch say that there were no other media trucks in the parking lot, meaning that the mainstream media was absent from this event, I knew that I had to post this so that at least a few Americans would hear about it. This was something that you would want to see for yourselves.

When I wrote the description for this video, I did my very best to stay neutral, and just allow the video to speak for itself. My only bias was in the title I gave the video, "What happens when We the People rise up?"

My feeling was that there are many people that are tired of the way the Federal government is taking away our freedom, and they were willing to die for their beliefs! Whether the Bundy ranchers or the people that came to support them were right or wrong about grazing rights on Federal land wasn't the point. What the video was illustrating was that there were folks willing to stand up to the government for what they BELIEVE is right, and at the same time, there were law enforcement officials that may have been willing to fire on those standing up to them.

In the segment, Megyn Kelly said that as an attorney, she felt that Cliven Bundy may be wrong, two courts have ruled against him. On the other hand, there are people that think that there is something going horribly wrong with regard to land rights, and an attempt by the United States government to go along with the U.N.'s Agenda 21. So, who is REALLY right? We the People or our Federal government? I'm just sayin'...

Remember that Mozilla’s CEO lost his job because he once held an opinion that is considered by liberals to be politically incorrect. His position had nothing to do with his job and, more significantly, the company for which he worked took no position, donated no funds, for or against gay marriage. This is a slippery slope because liberals already feel quite free to threaten conservatives with death. They particularly enjoy threatening conservative women with rape. And now that there are liberal voices calling for the imprisonment of those who “deny” man-made climate change, does it really take a leap of logic to see where this leads society? If the demonization, marginalization and persecution of conservative opinion does not stop, we’re one short chute away from a world in which liberals might actually screw up the courage to murder the conservatives they hate so much.

I know that Phil is absolutely right on the money with this commentary. I mean, it's still pretty sad, but it certainly does - unfortunately - reflect the culture we live in. The changes in accepted moral standards have been drastically "scummed down" during my lifetime. Literally having had my mouth washed out with soap as a youngster for the slightest of offensive curse words should tell you something! (Okay, it may also tell you that I'm getting old, but please ignore that.)

In the earlier days of my online blogging experience, it wasn't long before I became aware of the existence of the liberal trolls. At first, it really bothered me, because they didn't just attack what I was writing about; it was the personal attacks that I had to deal with! They seemed to know the right button to push that would hurt the most. I kept having to ask myself, "Who ARE these people? What do they have against me?" Though I eventually learned the answers to those questions on my own a long time ago, Phil's column is confirming that I was correctly realizing that it wasn't about me specifically, but the Conservative ideals that I believe in.

That being said, there was a deeper and darker part of this column that we need to pay close attention to.  I'm pretty sure that the thought of being loaded on to freight trains is frightening, but seems to be implausible... we would hope! But the implications of the violent rhetoric from the Left these days does not allow me to just ignore what Phil is saying. And it isn't just the liberal trolls saying Conservatives should be dead or raped that is disturbing, either. No, it is the liberal academia, liberal mainstream media, and even liberals that became bureaucrats and politicians that should worry us.  There are those that would like to silence us for saying what we believe.  When you read Phil's column, and this post, I think you will understand what I mean.  I'm just sayin'...

From the moment you first get your news from Twitter to the hours you while away looking at shared opinions and entertainment on Facebook, from the stories that are carefully selected for your television news to the radio commercials you listen to, from the pop-up “surveys” you see on your monitor to the lyrics in the pop songs you play on Pandora, your default opinions are formed in this background noise, this wash of attitudes and presumptions that comprise your laundry list of assumptions about life.

The left understands just how powerful is this technological lever when moving society’s opinion. To this end, the libs, the leftists, the “progressives,” employ – figuratively if not literally – an army of trolls. Their mission is to scream more loudly, to squawk more belligerently, to rail more vociferously against any voice they dislike. Any statement of conservative or libertarian opinion must be shouted down through online comments and rebuttal, because to permit conservatives free speech is to concede that there might be two sides to an argument. It is to admit that a right-wing voice might be as legitimate, as socially acceptable, as a left-wing voice.

WIFLI Briefing for Jun 27, 2012 - Vetting Barry, Pt. 2: The Globalist

I'm guessing that you didn't see the memo. What memo? The one that said that even when I haven't written in this blog for awhile, you should still be stopping by, catching up with my previous posts that you haven't seen, and making sure that you share what you've read with other Americans that value their liberty.

Well, actually, that memo doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure that Eric Holder used that excuse a few times lately in regard to Fast and Furious, but in this case, I'm telling you the truth. I only raised the point so that I could transition into my next point while maintaining your interest.

For your benefit, I've been studiously studying all of the information I can possibly have time to digest in the last few weeks. My topic evolved from my previous post regarding the vetting of Barry Obama. (I know, that is so disrespectful for me to refer to our President by his real name. So, is that really a problem?) Okay, so I wanted to prove that Obama is a globalist. After a week or two of research, I found that I would not be able to make a case beyond a reasonable doubt without relying on circumstantial evidence.

In a jury picked on the basis of liberty-leaning, freedom-loving peers, I know that I could prosecute Obama with total success, in proving the treason we are now witnessing. However, the indoctrination of the average citizen (in the public school system) of this country has been very successful in teaching them that keeping our environment safe is for their good.

It really wasn't until I saw the connection between Obama and his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, that I was sure that the true global agenda was the basis of what we will face with another four years of an Obama administration.

As you will read in this blog, Hillary Clinton has been instrumental in steering foreign policy in the direction of global governance. This is the reason that I could not delay the posting of this column any longer. Our liberty IS at stake at this time. With Hillary possibly being on the ticket along with Barry this November, it is going to be even more difficult to defeat the infectious evil coming our way.

At least you now know I wasn't silenced. The absence of any recent posts here wasn't because of the fear of armed drones overhead. I was just busy. I was busy arming myself with Truth. I'm hoping that my weapon of Truth can overcome the weapons of ignorance and deceit. But my hope was flickering, down to the last sparks of life, when I saw that my absence from this blog brought on a lack of views in this venue.

What would help to quell my disappointment? The easy answer would be to know that a lot of people will see this column. In their best interest, you need to be armed with the information that can help you explain to your peers the danger of Obama's globalism. Make sure that you are able to connect the globalist policies with the other part of the formula: Socialism.

Yes, even Joe Biden admits the importance of this election in deciding between starkly diverse ideologies. Whether or not Mitt Romney is as ideologically against global government as we want, he is still going to be better than what Barry and Hillary have in mind for us. If you don't get it, it's time for you to keep up. I'm just sayin'...

Obama, Clinton Selling Out U.S. Sovereignty in Secret

Is the Obama administration secretly negotiating treaties with globalist bodies, in violation of the Constitution? That’s the question on the minds of a number of political watchdogs, who argue that the White House is doing an end run around Congress and the American people in order to lock the country into agreements on the environment, fishing rights and even gun ownership with the United Nations (UN).

On Feb. 7, former Bill Clinton campaign manager Dick Morris dissected a host of international “sneaky treaties” that, he says, “Once signed and ratified, have the same status as constitutional law and cannot be altered or eclipsed by Congress or state legislatures. And their provisions must be enforced by U.S. courts.”

The most egregious of these would be U.S. membership in the International Criminal Court (ICC). This tribunal that has jurisdiction across the globe could prosecute elected U.S. leaders for entering into a war without UN approval. These “crimes of aggression”—even if approved by Congress under an official declaration of war—could still land the president or cabinet members in prison. The ICC’s reach supersedes the rulings of any U.S. court, thereby posing a serious threat to constitutionally-guaranteed trials by a jury of our peers.

A lesser-known aspect of this treaty involves, ironically, the use of America’s military to wage aggressions against those deemed war criminals by the ICC.

Already, Barack Obama has buckled to this ruling body by sending armed forces into Africa to execute an arrest warrant for alleged war criminal Joseph Kony, leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda.

Yet rather than having Congress authorize sending U.S. men and women into action overseas, Obama bypassed them and opted to exert his “executive power.” He justified this decision as an “international obligation.” Who is our president obligated to: American citizens or the New World Order?

During a May 10 interview with AMERICAN FREE PRESS, Becky Fenger, a political columnist for Arizona’s Sonoran News, voiced her concerns to this writer in regard to a rash of globalist treaties being negotiated by the current administration.

“What are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama thinking?” asked Mrs. Fenger. “I can’t understand why they would willingly hand over power to the UN. How can you reason with these people when it seems like they’ve lost their minds?”

When questioned about the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) and the International Criminal Court (ICC), Mrs. Fenger replied: “Do you know how detrimental they are to our nation? We used to worry about communism and those who wanted to take over the U.S. But now we’re surrendering our sovereignty to the UN, which is filled with petty dictators. America should get out of the UN, since we pay the bulk of dues and always get voted against anyway.”

According to Mrs. Fenger, the dangers facing us are monumental.

“These treaties become the equivalent of law,” she said, “and it’ll take 161 countries to release us from them. Worse, I’m not sure if Congress is even aware of what’s going on, or if they understand how binding these treaties are.”

She continued: “Look at the ICC. Aggression is described as going to war without UN approval, which includes Russia and China. What kind of mind thinks that succumbing to this is a good idea?”

Mrs. Fenger next addressed one of Mrs. Clinton’s favorite pet projects.

“Hillary said it takes a village, not a parent, to raise children,” she said. “Their goal is really to get these little minds and teach them from infancy to love global government dictatorship. But why should we relinquish parental control when it’s been a guiding light throughout history? They want to disintegrate the family unit and replace it with government. It’s unconscionable. Our personal liberties have always frightened them, so their goal is to take freedom out of the hands of every individual.”

A quick glance at the State Dept.’s travel itinerary reveals nearly 75 trips to foreign countries by Clinton where the real groundwork for a New World Order super-structure was being laid.

This process began in 1993 with President Clinton’s executive order that created the President’s Council on Sustainable Development, which focused primarily on transforming urban centers into “sustainable communities.” The process continues now, with President Obama’s executive order that created the White House Rural Council, which focuses primarily on the 16 percent of the population who live on 80 percent of the rural landscape.

This process is being advanced by the Department of Housing and Urban Development through its $95 million Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program. To receive a HUD regional planning grant, all the counties and major cities within the region must sign a Memorandum of Agreement to implement the grant according to the dictates of HUD. It is no accident that the MOA requires the participants “to support multijurisdictional planning efforts that integrate housing, land use, economic and workforce development, transportation, and infrastructure investments.” These goals are the same goals specified in Chapter 7 of the U.N. Agenda 21 document adopted by the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development in 1992.

One of the biggest issues in the November election is whether we will continue or stop President Obama's move toward restricting U.S. sovereignty and rushing down the road to global governance. One would think that the obvious failure of the European Union and disdain for the euro would put the skids on global integration, but no such luck.

Obama has such delusions of his own power that he thinks he can do by executive order whatever he cannot get Congress to approve, even Harry Reid's Democratic Senate. Obama's most recent executive order starts off with the extravagant claim that it is issued "by the authority vested in me as president by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America."

On the contrary, the president is not vested with the authority asserted in Executive Order 13563, which locks us into a worldwide regulatory system and thereby gives up a huge slice of U.S. economic and environmental sovereignty. The proclaimed purpose is to globally harmonize regulations on environmental, trade and even legislative processes.

This executive order is larded with globalist gobbledygook about the obligation of our regulatory system to "protect public health, welfare, safety and our environment while promoting economic growth, innovation, competitiveness, and job creation." Those pie-in-the-sky goodies are designed to benefit "an increasingly global economy," rather than the United States.

The executive order specifies that this new "international regulatory cooperation" will function "particularly in emerging technology areas." That's an open door for dangerous mischief in sensitive areas that the new global busybodies might get into, and it will probably give Communist China the opportunity to steal more of our technology.

This variant of Cloward-Piven’s original model, which was to create a terminal burden on the economy through entitlement programs, did ultimately succeed.

Little did I know back in the early ’90s, when I was working in New York City with famed ocean explorer Captain Jacques-Yves Cousteau, that his trip to Rio de Janiero for the Earth Summit in 1992 would contain the seeds of a massive, worldwide, U.N.-sponsored effort to change everything about our lives and yes, our freedoms.

It was officially the U.N. International Conference on Environment and Development, held on the 20th anniversary of the first U.N. Conference on the Environment. Agenda 21 was adopted in Rio; it’s a global plan for sustainable management of forests, land, populations, human environment and all human activities.

The United Nations building was just a few blocks from our office, and we had a liaison with the organization who kept us updated. Indeed, the captain and The Cousteau Society had regular contact with the U.N. on varied issues over the years.

At the time, I was innocent in my understanding of what was going on and the scope of the Rio Summit. But it didn’t take me long to wise up to the fact it wasn’t a benign meeting of people who “cared” about keeping the earth healthy for man and nature.

Unfortunately, as the environmental movement has grown since then, that portrayal of “green goals” has taken precedence because it’s such a warm and fuzzy concept, which makes it easy to sell to gullible people.

After all, who wants dirty air, water and beaches!?!

For more than 20 years, now, the most powerful word in advertising has been “sustainable.” This term sells everything from toilet paper to spark plugs. This same term is even more powerful when applied to public policies such as: “sustainable” energy; transportation; agriculture; development; housing, and almost every other policy considered by government. When the term “sustainable” is used to sell a product, the product will be more expensive and less efficient than it has to be. When the term “sustainable” is used to sell a public policy, the policy will not only be more expensive and less efficient, it will be controlled by the government, and it will ultimately fail.

Before 1990, the term “sustainable” was rarely heard. Today, the term saturates all media every day. Everyone knows the term; few people know what sustainable development is, or the effect it is having on communities, or the ultimate goal of its proponents, or how it gets into public policy.

Agenda 21 is a document adopted by 179 nations at the 1992 U.N. Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro. Its 40 chapters contain specific recommendations, which, when adopted and implemented by governments, will result in sustainable development, according to its proponents. Since 1993, the federal government has been promoting and funding the implementation of Agenda 21 recommendations throughout the country.

The Obama administration has picked up where the Clinton administration left off, advancing the implementation of Agenda 21. The U.S. State Department has been preparing to support the U.N.’s effort to convert the non-binding Agenda 21, into a legally binding Covenant on Environment and Development, enforceable by the International Criminal Court. There will be a flurry of activity leading up to, and after the Rio+20 conference scheduled for June. The U.S. State Department began leading this campaign last year. I was pretty sure that by now, I'd be a martyr. Not that I intended to be, but I figured that a few of the WIFLI Briefings that I've published this year would get me on some kind of enemies list that the current
White House administration may be compiling. Surprisingly, at least to me, my efforts haven't yet shown up on the radar screen.

It would certainly be beneficial to my purpose if only I were to be disparaged by a leftist writer or organized effort to silence me. But, so far, nothing...

I can only surmise that I just haven't been loud enough. I need a bullhorn, I guess. Or perhaps I should just stay persistent, and try to do my best to expose what the President is all about. America needs to be aware that he is a Socialist and a Globalist, and we really haven't yet seen how far he would go to stay in power. That is what should scare us. That is what should tell you why I'm not afraid to post what I have so far.

Honestly? I have to warn you, do not attempt this at home. It can be pretty darn disconcerting when we realize that our opponents have the financial and political power to silence us at any time... Well, US, as in the citizen journalists writing in favor of We the People and freedom. If any of us hit the wrong nerve, believe me, we could be snuffed out at a moment's notice. That's reality talking there, not sheer paranoia.

It was once I knew what the stakes were that I became a little nervous. If perhaps Barack Hussein Obama has his sites set on leading a global government, who knows what will be done to stop me, or anyone else, from informing the public. Who really knows WHAT could be done to anyone that is in the way of Obama's objectives.

No, I'm afraid that I'll not fear what needs to be said. Fear is not an emotion that I want to ever bow down to if I am going to help wake up some more patriots.

The concept of fear has to be overcome, and the only way to do so is to band together as We the People.

Our best chance of survival as a Free people will be to hang in there together. There is safety in numbers.  I'm just sayin'...

Time 2 Escape WIFLI for Wednesday, Feb 8, 2012

It was Glenn Beck that asked the all-important question this morning following Rick Santorum's stunning victories on Tuesday in Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri: "Why?" Glenn asked his audience if we've heard any of the GOP candidates say why they are running for President as well as Rick Santorum did Tuesday night.

What we are too used to hearing are a bunch of cliches from candidates when they are asked why they are running for President. Well, not with Santorum, who you will see answer that question with this conclusion to his victory speech he made in Missouri Tuesday night:

When I voted for Rick Santorum back in early January at the Iowa Caucus, I had no idea that he would have a chance. I was only choosing the one I believed the most like I do among the many GOP candidates initiating their campaigns. Somehow, my candidate eventually won the State of Iowa. And then came the next contests: New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and Nevada. While Santorum was non-existent in those primaries, all the media attention was centered on the war between Romney and Gingrich.

I think the American people finally grew sick of hearing about negative ads and having to actually listen to them. Newt was supposed to be the Conservative alternative to Mitt, even though he sat on a couch with Nancy Pelosi to discuss global warming. The whole thing was a disaster waiting to happen. I know that I was losing interest in who actually won the GOP nomination, if it were to be Gingrich or Romney; they were both dead meat when it comes time to face Obama head on.

And the question I kept asking myself is why all of the pundits were trying to choose between those two pretenders, while out in the wings were Paul and Santorum. Okay, Paul wasn't going to get any endorsements, but why not Santorum? I was greatly disappointed, admittedly, when Herman Cain endorsed Newt Gingrich last week. Of all people, I thought Herman would be courageous enough to go out on a limb, and endorse Rick Santorum, even if it eventually meant nothing. I felt it was a missed opportunity for Herman Cain to move along a candidate that has true Conservative ideals.

So, now what? Will the establishment GOP team up with the mainstream media to try to keep it to Romney or Gingrich, or will they just get the heck out of the way so that the Tea Party Conservatives can get a true alternative to Barack Obama next November for our Republican nominee? Somebody that is going to fight for our freedom?

Rick Santorum sure looks good to me! Wow! He is the one candidate that I believe is the ONLY conservative alternative to Barack Hussein Obama.  I'm just sayin'...

The Republican presidential contest is a two-man race no more.

Rick Santorum proved that the 2012 primary election still has a few surprises left, after he went three for three in Tuesday’s contests and once again shook up the GOP nomination battle.

Santorum, in perhaps the biggest upset of the night, was declared the winner of the Colorado caucuses -- a contest Mitt Romney had been leading in recent polls and won in the 2008 race. The former Pennsylvania senator also won the Minnesota caucuses and the non-binding Missouri GOP primary.

California Rep. Wally Herger offered an article on Agenda 21 that, unfortunately, reflects a lack of knowledge about Agenda 21 shared by far too many elected officials. In the first instance, he said that Agenda 21 is a document developed at a U.N. Conference in 1993.

Wrong!

Agenda 21 was developed over a period of time, traceable from the 1972 U.N. Conference on the Environment, which identified “environmental protection” as the world’s greatest problem and gave the world the U.N. Environmental Programme, followed almost immediately by President Nixon’s executive order that created the EPA.

Then came the 1976 U.N. Conference on Human Settlements, signed by the U.S., which proclaimed that “Public control of land use is … indispensable.” The next major step was the creation of the U.N. World Commission on Environment and Development in 1983, chaired by Gro Harlem Brundtland. The commission issued its final report in 1987, called “Our Common Future.” This document produced the concept and defined the term “Sustainable Development” to be: “Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”

Panetta told David Ignatius of the Washington Post that he thinks Israel will attack Iran before this June. The more you know about diplomacy, the more precious diplomatic crystal you can see smashed between here and the horizon. America’s top defense official tells the world that an embattled ally is likely to attack a common enemy within months. I wonder what he meant by that!

This could be a clever pro-Israel maneuver in which Panetta signals to Iran, “Those Israelis are hotheads. And we can’t do anything about it. They’re madmen, and we fear they’re going to attack Iran.” That, according to those who cling to this interpretation, might let Iran know Israeli resolve is real, in hopes of goading them into forgetting their atomic ambitions.

Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum pulled off upset victories in the Minnesota and Colorado caucuses and a nonbinding primary in Missouri on Tuesday, shaking Mitt Romney’s front-runner stance and calling his conservative credentials into question.

The Santorum wins knock former House Speaker Newt Gingrich off as the number two in the race. Santorum has won four elections so far, counting the Iowa caucus that was initially awarded to Romney, while Gingrich has won only the South Carolina primary.

In Colorado, the Denver Post reports the election results as: Santorum – 40.2%; Romney – 34.9%; Gingrich – 12.7%; Paul – 11.7%.

In Minnesota, CNN reports the election results as: Santorum – 45%; Paul – 27%; Romney – 17%; Gingrich – 11%.

In Missouri, STL Today reports the election results as: Santorum – 55%; Romney – 25%; Paul – 12%; Gingrich – not registered.

The Colorado and Minnesota victories come as a severe blow to Romney, as he has won the states’ caucuses in 2008 when running as the conservative alternative to eventual nominee John McCain. The Romney campaign may have expected a strong challenge from Santorum in the Tuesday elections, as CNN reported on Monday that the former Massachusetts governor began to take aim at him instead of Gingrich.

“Conservatism is alive and well in Missouri and Minnesota,” Santorum told supporters in St. Charles, Mo. Tuesday night, before results came in for Colorado. “I don’t stand here to claim to be the conservative alternative to Mitt Romney,” he later said. “I stand here to be the conservative alternative to Barack Obama.”
